Bill O'Reilly
Here. Welcome to the no Spin News from Monday, May 11, 2026. Stand up for your country. I spoke with President Trump yesterday, Sunday, and that is the subject of this evening's Talking Points Memo. So as you remember, I was in Beijing about a year ago and I went there at the request of the Chinese government to talk about America, Chinese relationships. And I debriefed President Trump both coming and going. So now we're in another cycle which is more complicated than it was one years ago. One year ago, that's for sure. It is. I don't know really what the word is complicated is. Underestimating is extremely difficult. So let me run it down. China needs America, no doubt about it, because China's economy is built on exports. People buy Chinese stuff in America and all over. And if the USA isn't buying Chinese stuff to the extent that it used to, then the Chinese economy is going to wobble. Got 1.5 billion people over there to feed. Okay, so they want a trade deal. What we want is help with Iran. Now, a year ago was with Putin, okay? Now that situation in Ukraine is pretty much ground to a halt. We need help with Iran because they're totally irrational. Iran sells China an enormous amount of oil. If China did not buy that oil, Iran's economy, which is on a verge of collapse anyway, would go under. So I expect, although the president did not tell me directly that the offer will be, look, we'll take care of your oil needs, the usa, but you got to get away from Iran. You can't be helping them out. And they got to try to convince them to give up their nukes, okay? Not going to be easy because China is going to come back with, and I know this to be true. Well, we'll do it, but you got to dump Taiwan. You can't be defending Taiwan anymore. Now, Taiwan is a very difficult situation we've gone on since 1949. You can look it up if you'd like to, but the United States and pretty much every other free country does not want the Chinese taking over Taiwan. And if we allowed that, if we withdrew our support from Taiwan, we would look weak to the world and China would proclaim a significant victory. They're not our friends, the Chinese. Okay, so you see what we're doing here? All right, so President Trump's going to be there on Thursday, and he knows, obviously knows all of this stuff. And I don't know what they're going to do, what they're going to offer. I'm not privy to that. As far as the gasoline is concerned. I'm going to tell you a shocking story in a few moments that, again, the President's gonna have to think about. Now, the final thing on the board for the. It's only two days. It's very hard to get anything done in two days. So this is like, sets another meeting up. So not Thursday and Friday. They're not going to be able to nail down a lot as AI. So China's stealing AI technology from the United States and everybody else, and China doesn't care whether you like it or not. What are we going to do there? They're just stealing it. And they did that with a whole bunch of other technology earlier on. President Trump is under pressure to do something bad. I don't know what he can do about it, other than arrest some Chinese people, swear out warrants for them, but it's a fairly big thing. And you have to keep in mind that the Chinese do not respect intellectual property at all. They're going to steal it if they can steal it. You also have to understand that we in China are not friends. They are our enemies. They are our rivals. But President Trump thinks he can make a deal with these people. Okay? Now, the reason that I was on the phone with the president, and again, he called me, I don't call him is because the Chinese want to talk to me before the President arrives in Beijing. It puts me in a very difficult position, and it's a unique position. I don't know if any other journalist ever. He's had this kind of access. I have no access to the Iranians, none. But with China, I have plenty. So they. And they're so polite. I mean, it's amazing. So they ask, can we have a call with you? Well, I said, if the President okays it, then I'll do it, because I love my country and no harm. They're going to ask me questions, I'll answer them honestly, just like I'm talking to you right now, which the Chinese are watching. They watch us on YouTube. Okay, so I got a message to President Trump yesterday, and I said, look, the boys are back in town and they want to talk to me. What do you think? Because I don't Want to interfere in what you're doing and I don't know what you're doing. And he goes, no, go ahead. So I got the imprimatur. And then afterward, if there's on the call, if there's anything that he should know, I'll get it to him. Because again, this is my job, not only to report to you as a journalist, but to help my country if I can. And this is a unique position that I am in, which is why I think you're watching and listening to me. Nobody has this kind of access, nobody in the journalistic world. Okay? So. And if the Chinese go, this is off the record, I will honor that. I won't report it, but I have to. But I'm going to go with the exception of President Trump, which is what I did last time. I said I can't just have a, our conversation with you guys and not report back. I mean, come on. They understand, okay? And that's the memo. Now the two big issues with Iran and they just playing games because they feel that this is hurting President Trump a lot. You know, they don't want nuclear inspectors in there. That's number one. It's very simple. This is so simple. They don't want nuclear inspectors. All right, we'll move some of the uranium to other countries. That's a bunch of oil. Okay? They're going to keep that stuff buried as deep in the earth as they can. Keep it buried. Yeah, we're going to, we'll say, well, we'll do it. They're not do anything. We need those weapons inspectors in there. And two, they want control of Hormuz, the straits that come out of the Persian Gulf. It'd be insane to give them that. Nobody controls international waters. So they keep going back to that and the mullahs, no, we're not going to agree to it. So now they're probably at the hell kicked out of them next week. I don't think they're going to. The President will do anything before he meets with Xi, the Chinese leader. But something's got to happen. Okay, Now I have gotten, and I told you this and I told you I'd look into it. I have looked into it. People go, we have all this oil, we're self sufficient in oil. We can. Why are our prices going up when we have enough oil? It's not supply and demand, because we have enough supply to meet the demand in the United States. Well, the reason they're going up is that we sell an enormous amount of oil overseas. American oil and here's a stat, okay, the Energy Information Administration and we had to root this out here. 8 million barrels a day of American petroleum products we send abroad. And that's what suppressing, okay the supply. So the oil companies go, oh well, you know, we don't have, you get plenty, you just make it, you're selling it overseas so you can make more money and screwing the American people. And I, we cited this last week, BP 100% profit in one quarter. Their profits increased 100% in one quarter. Who do you think is buying that stuff? Okay, so today President Trump announced that he's going to stop the oil tax, the federal tax on oil. The Energy Information Administration says the sales overseas at an all time high sales of American petroleum product, all time highs overseas. Okay, so they're going to suspend the gas tax and that'll mean about 3 bucks, close to 3 bucks on a 15 gallon fill up that you get back. Now whether the there's a shift of hand or we don't regulate, we the country don't regulate is a free marketplace, okay? But I hope that the President is going to investigate these oil companies because this is a national security issue. And under national security and go right, just like they're investigating ABC and Jimmy Kimmel and the View. You do the same thing with the oil companies. Just go in and go, what are you doing? You knew in national security we got all this problem and you're selling all these products overseas to make more money.

Bill O'Reilly
now the one time in history this happened was Theodore Roosevelt. He clocked them Rockefeller Oil. Okay, Morgan JP and he won in The Supreme Court, they challenged him and he broke those monopolies. Now, I don't know whether President Trump's going to do that or not. It requires an act of Congress, okay, that we suspend federal taxes on gasoline. Congress has to. But they will, okay? Both parties will, because they don't want to go into the midterms with no relief. And the money that it gets, the federal government gets, goes to repair roadways, transit products, on and on and on and on. Okay? So that's in play. And I'm going to watch it really closely to see how much relief that actually gives the American consumer. These oil companies, I'm telling you, man, they, they got every, everything that, oh, the next thing you're going to hear is, oh, our refinery capacity is, you know, we're not, we're having a lot of trouble, you see. Okay, it's a new poll out. This is a Trump poll run by John McLaughlin, a buddy of ours, McLaughlin and Associates. Thousand general election voters, people who have voted. Okay, first question. Which of the following statements regarding President Trump and his policies comes closest? I approve President Trump and his policies. 34%. I disapprove of President Trump personally, but I like a lot of his policies. 15 said it brings you up to 49. On the policy. I disapprove of President Trump and his policies, both his policies. 46%. Okay, not a strong number, but not a catastrophe. Second question, Agree or disagree? The US Military action against Iran leadership of the Iranian regiment are necessary and warranted to protect American lives. Agree. 59. Disagree. 32. You don't hear that in the mainstream media. Final question. If Iran were developing build a nuke, would they use it? Yes. 61. No. 20. You know, that's speculative, so. Joining us now from Blauvelt, New York, is John McLaughlin. So your, your poll is what they call an outlier. Washington Post poll just out totally different scenario than yours. But you say the Washington Post is not being straight up with the American people. How?
John McLaughlin
Well, in that Washington Post poll, they did a poll of over 2000 adults and they were not registered voters. Not likely voters. There are people that responded to an Ipsos panel, they got a buck or two to fill out the, the questionnaire and they only have 29% Trump voters. 29. We got 50% of the popular vote.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay, let me stop you. This is, this is a key point. Yeah. So 50% of Americans, the last time around, okay, 24. 50% voted for Donald Trump. But the Washington Post poll only has 29% Trump voters. Is that that's what you're saying, right?
John McLaughlin
That's right. Because they pull, they pull adults.
Bill O'Reilly
Now, they have to know that.
John McLaughlin
Yes.
Bill O'Reilly
Because they ask the question. Right, Right. So they do that on purpose, according to putting out false data, stacking it out.
John McLaughlin
Yeah, well, they want to turn public opinion against the president before the midterms.
Bill O'Reilly
Sure.
John McLaughlin
So, like, our models are based on likely voters, people that say they're going to vote in November, which is even different than 2024. But we have a point or two more of Trump voters in our surveys than Harris voters, and it matches up. Ironically, we set it to the CNN exit polls so it looks like a national sample. But when, when pollsters poll adults and they only come up with 29% Trump voters, they have an agenda, and their agenda is to say that Trump's at a historic job approval lows and the Republicans are losing Congress by double digits.
Bill O'Reilly
All right, but they don't tell, when they release their poll. The Washington Post does not tell the public they are doing that, correct?
John McLaughlin
Well, they, they put up the cross tips that I could read it, but they don't tell the public when they run their headlines.
Bill O'Reilly
Well, no, there, it's way down on page 29 or something. Right.
John McLaughlin
It's in the Internet. You got to go find it.
Bill O'Reilly
You got. So you, you got to look at. It's not what the Post is. All right, so the only conclusion, or a conclusion you could prove in a court of law is that the Washington Post sets out to do polling that's going to make Trump and the Republicans look bad. Correct.
John McLaughlin
Worse. Correct. I mean, our poll, the Republicans are losing the ballot for Congress by four points, but it's a closer race and it's, and the president, we asked his job approval the way we did in the campaign. And you, by the way, you and I saw the president on 911 at Yankee Stadium. And the president said to me, my highest numbers ever. I said, no, your highest job approval is 57% and your highest favorable was 51% on election day because we ran a campaign. But when we saw him at Yankee Stadium that day, I said, you still had good numbers. Numbers were better, but this is how. The way we ask his job approval was to raise his favorables, to raise his popular vote. Now they're in the government. They don't have the same campaign. It's, it's not. And he's, he's not on the ballot in November. So the Republicans have a lot of work to do. And President Trump, as you said, he's going to China, he's got Iran to deal with. He's, he's doing the things that a president does. And the campaign needs to, needs to step it up behind it.
Bill O'Reilly
Now, when, when is your next poll come out?
John McLaughlin
Oh, it'll be before Memorial Day. We'll do, we do a monthly poll and we publish it.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay.
John McLaughlin
There's lots of polls we do every day, but we don't publish them all the time. We publish, we'll publish the monthly poll before Memorial Day.
Bill O'Reilly
In the next three weeks, there's going to be a big change in what happens to this country because the Iranian thing can't. I mean, maybe it could, but I can't imagine. So something's going to happen there. Something will happen with Xi and China. Now we have the federal relief on a gas tax. So just give us a heads up because we want to have you back on the next polling. Now, finally, you say that the Republicans right now just across the board in Congress are running about four points behind the Democrats. Is that where they are?
John McLaughlin
Correct. So they're even trailing President Trump's job approval, which, you know, I mean, is there at 43%. He's at 49. So the Republicans need to have a contrast election with the Democrats. Chuck Schumer's not popular. Hakeem Jeffries is not popular because their positions are unpopular. They're against voter id. They're for higher taxes, not lower taxes. And certainly, by the way, when you talk about backing up the brave men and women who are fighting the war with Iran to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, the Democrats want to invoke the War Powers act and surrender like they did in Afghanistan. I mean, I mean, at least President Trump's a commander in chief who plays to win. So, so, so, you know, the Democrats, Democrats need to be held account. You know, they need to be, they need to be on the defense about their positions. Their positions are pretty radical and not, and not supported by the majority of Americans.
Bill O'Reilly
No, but if the economy gets worse and the expenses get higher for gas and food and things like that, and I noticed today that the United States allowing more beef in to be imported in here. So obviously the Republicans and the Trump administration understands the danger that Americans will vote their wallet. Last word.
John McLaughlin
Right. Well, you're right. We need a growth package. We've got to win the war in Iran. We've got to have a growth package to keep the economy growing. Because President Trump, he's tried to grow the economy, but you have Chuck Schumer shutting the government down when he can you have Jerome Powell keeping interest rates high. So they're putting sand in the engine because it's all about the midterms. And the Republicans need to wake up and play to win the midterms.
Bill O'Reilly
All right, John, thanks very much as always. We'll talk to you in a few weeks when your new poll comes out. This is an outrageous story and I wrote about it on my column, my Sunday column on billorilly.com it's free for everybody. You just go in and the column is titled so help me God. And it's about people lying, which is an epidemic in America on everywhere. I mean, perjury is a joke. You go into court, you stray, you know, I swear to tell the whole truth, but no. And then you don't and it's proven. You don't tell the whole truth and you have lied. Nothing happens to you. Now the press is leaves a league in this. So Reuters news service puts out an article last week, all right? And the article says Iran. This is the headline. No further from nuclear weapons than before the war. All the bombing that Israel and the USA did, all the infrastructure decline, all of that, okay? Knocking out their first administration. The Iranians has touched what the Iranian nuke situation is. This is Reuters. Okay. And of course the far left media, particularly Ms. Picks it up. Go.
Bloomberg Narrator
Reuters reported that US intelligence assessments believe that this war has not impacted the timeline for how long it would take Iran to build a nuclear nuclear weapon at all. And Trump, Hegseth and Ruby have all, of course all justified this war by saying pretty much the exact opposite of that, by saying that this war was necessary and successful because it has set back Iran's nuclear program.
Bill O'Reilly
Now the shocking part about this is not many media picked up this Reuter poll. I thought there was going to be tons of it. News Nation picked it up, Fox News picked it up. Japan Times, few, but not the networks and not that many cables. They ignored it. Why did they ignore it? Because it's false. Two days later, the Wall Street Journal, citing a report from the Institute for Science and International Security runs this headline, quote, US Israeli strikes set back Iran's ability to build nuclear weapon. Exactly the opposite of what Reuters wrote. Exactly the opposite. It's just like John McLaughlin was saying that the Reuters article was designed to undermine the campaign in Iran. But the Wall Street Journal, their data is actually taken from the Reuters data is anonymous sources all throughout. One guy they quote at the end who has no access to anybody. He's not in the government, he's not. All throughout it's insane. So if you read my column, you'll see I cite all the crazy anonymous sources. Two days later, it's knocked out of the park. It's just really. And you know, I am down on a lot of my country people used to be able to call them countrymen. You can't do that anymore because they're lazy and they're apathetic and they don't know what's happening. They don't care to know. That drives me nuts. But there is a large segment of Americans who want to know and they can't get the information any longer because it's so dishonest in the media and the pollings. NETanyahu goes on 60 Minutes last night. And I knew this to be true. I mean, I don't get the whole anti Semitic thing. Where I was raised in Levittown, a lot of Jews, Irish, Italian, Poles, we all got along okay. There was none of this bs. It's just not none of it. And now it's just Israel is horrible. Jews are terrible people. All of that. It's almost like the Fourth Reich all over the world. Not just in America, all over the world. Here's Netanyahu's explanation. Go.
Benjamin Netanyahu
You can say anything because it's this. This is yours, right? You're not immune either, because you can penetrate this machine, you can penetrate this, this little instrument and you can say about Major Garrett anything you want. And I can paint you as a monster. If I say it often enough, enough people will believe it. I am not bemoaning this. I'm stating this as a fact.
Bill O'Reilly
I'm bemoaning it, okay? Because it's true. People read his garbage over and over and over again, and that's how it grows. Ten years ago you didn't hear any this anti Semitic stuff. And now it's a movement within the Democratic Party, the progressive left, and people buy it because there's stupid machines. Cbs, a mess over there. They're going to fire Sharon Alfonsi. I don't know her. I mean, I'm assuming that Sharon is a left wing soldier, but I don't know. I've seen some of her reports. She's not Mike Wallace, let's put it that way. But she's lawyered up and they're kind of cleaning house over there at cbs. Putin. He says a war in Ukraine may be coming to an end. Number one. Okay, he looks like hell. Did you see him when the military parade honoring the end of World War II? The guy's bloated he looks like he's on steroids. And, yeah, maybe the Ukraine war is coming. Well, I don't know, Vlad, you better get it over with because you've lost about 350, 000 soldiers dead Russian soldiers in four years. Now, that number comes from the Ukrainians, so we cannot verify it, but they've lost a lot of people over there, and it's not going well. Okay? For the Russians. Okay. Smart life. So many Americans are what I call conspiracy nuts. I hope you're not one of them. Usually people who watch me aren't they go to the conspiracy websites where everything is, you know, we didn't land on the moon. It was a movie studio. 18 guys killed. JFK. You know, you know the drill. Okay, so now a survey by YouGov, not reliable. It says that 25% of the American public believe the shooting at the White House Correspondent's dinner was staged. 25%. Now, I was there. I saw everything. As far as logistics are concerned, it was not staged, okay? Now that's a quarter of the population believe it was staged. Based on what? Nothing. Some kook on the Internet saying something. All right, now, this is a Smart Life segment. When I run into those kind of people, I never debate them. I never try to persuade them, ever. I wrote a book, killing Kennedy. You want to know what happened to jfk, you read the book. You don't want to know, then live in a delusional world. That's it. It's not my job to save people who are conspiracy thinkers. Back with a final thought in a moment. Okay, final thought. I think this guest is going to surprise you on Thursday for the Do It Live long form that we do. And now every week, Do It Live. We got Chaz Palminteri up there now, people are liking it. But the guest we have on Thursday shall tell you about Wednesday. It's political. Gonna surprise you. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Haven't done the interview yet. We're confident it will happen. Leland Vitter, Tonight, News Nation, 9 Eastern Time. I will be in the chair. I don't really know what Leland has on his mind. News Nation did buy that Reuters phony article. I might have to scold them to that, but I don't know. What? Leland. Leland's good. I like him because I really never know where he's going. And I like Cuomo because it's, you know, so opposite his view of the world and my view of the world so opposite. But he gives you a good idea of what the left. He's not a progressive kook, Chris Cuomo, but he is a liberal guy, hard liberal. And a lot of viewers don't. They don't know many liberals and they don't know what the thinking level is. So when I go on with him, that's what comes out. When I go on with Witter on Monday, I don't know what's going to happen. I assume they're going to talk about the China trip, which is historical. And, you know, I'm talking to a lot of people about this, as you know, and I can't, I can't really, very, very hard. Usually I'm a guy who comes up and said, okay, A leads to B leads to C leads to D. But I know President Trump knows as soon as the Iranian thing comes in, as we reported earlier, then Taiwan is going to come in. You're sitting president. And ever Since World War II, America has protected the people who live on that island. I've been there. One of the worst places on earth. Why is it so bad? Taiwan, it's just packed with people and they're all spitting. And I'm sorry if this is a comment that's derogatory. I don't mean it to be. It's like a baseball dugout in America and it's like jam packed with people. And it was like, I stayed a really nice hotel, but you know me, I'm out and about and looking around. And then I went to the snake market in Taipei where they kill the snake and drain the blood. And then guys pay a lot of money to drink the blood because it's Viagra or something, some crazy thing. They're going, where? Which way is Bermuda? See, that's, that's all I want here. And I'm, I'm in Taipei, so I'm not a good spokesperson for Taiwan tourism. But those people do not deserve to be subjugated. And if an American president allows that subjugation, that's not going to go over well. Most Americans don't care. But the world, that would be perceived as a huge victory for the communists. So I got to deal with all that and this and that. But we'll have a good report tomorrow because I will have talked to the Chinese by them by airtime tomorrow, we'll have talked to them. Unless they cancel. They might. Thank you for watching and listening to thy newspin News. I'm Bill O'Reilly. We'll see you again tomorrow.

Netanyahu on Media and Perception:
“If I say it often enough, enough people will believe it.” —Benjamin Netanyahu [27:52]
The episode blends O’Reilly’s signature “no spin” assertiveness with skepticism towards the media, corporations, and US rivals. There are moments of personal reflection, humor, and pointed criticism, particularly toward mainstream polling, oil multinationals, and trends in media dishonesty. O’Reilly’s engagement with John McLaughlin is conversational and analytical, while mentions of his own diplomatic experiences give listeners an inside-the-room perspective.
Bill O’Reilly uses his unique access to both the Trump administration and Chinese officials to pull back the curtain on diplomatic dealings around Iran, exposes the profit-driven reasons behind American gas price spikes, and demonstrates—with pollster John McLaughlin—how mainstream polls may be structured to understate Republican and Trump support. O’Reilly also takes the media to task for propagating misleading stories about Iran’s nuclear ambitions and highlights disturbing currents of anti-Semitism in US and global politics, drawing insight from Benjamin Netanyahu. The episode closes with strong skepticism about conspiracy thinking and a reaffirmation of O'Reilly’s role as a “straight-shooter” in a media landscape he depicts as deeply unreliable.
