Foreign. Memo this evening is some new information about the ICE Minnesota conundrum. So this is New York Post reporting. I've checked it. I mean, I don't have any reason to doubt this. So according to Post, the New York Socialist movement, which is very well organized here in the city, Democratic Socialists of America, they are mobilizing 4000 anti ICE activists to stop any kind of ICE apprehensions in New York City, the largest in the country. 4000. Now this comes as no surprise to me because the Minnesota demonstrations are not organic. They're organized by far left people who are using the immigration and the ICE roundup to try to destabilize America. That's what they're trying to do. There is an opening there. All right, we saw that with George Floyd. It's the same kind of tactic, but they're not really as successful as they'd like to be. So let me run it down for you. Over the weekend, there were a few demonstrations, anti ICE demonstrations. Minnesota, of course, Minneapolis, Broadview, Illinois, outside of Chicago, Denver, Portland, Maine. Not Oregon. Maine, and a couple of others that, you know, one in Jersey I guess is Morristown. But it wasn't much and there was no violence. Good few arrests, but not many. But this was not a populist uprising, and that's important to know. The Pentagon says it has alerted 1500 soldiers that they may be needed to, to go to Minneapolis to calm things down there. And the reason is that Minnesota State Police and Minneapolis local police will not protect federal agents. That's pretty startling. Pretty stunning. So if an Insurrection act executive order was signed by the President, he would have very firm legal ground, though the state of Minnesota is in rebellion to the United States. I hope he doesn't sign the Insurrection Act. I hope that doesn't happen because that will just inflame things. All right. It doesn't look to me like I got about 4,000 agents on the ground in Minnesota now is in any danger of being overrun. But you know, it's obvious that this state has got to be dealt with. Here's the mayor of Minneapolis once again. Go.
B
Right now we have about 600 police officers and they've got 3,000 or so ICE agents and border control that they are now talking about deploying 1500 military. This is. Well, it's ridiculous, but we will not be intimidated by the actions of this federal government.
A
What's ridiculous is you, Mr. Mayor, telling your police department not to protect federal agents from harm. I mean, that's just disgraceful. It's awful. I mean, there's no other adjective to apply to it. Even if you disagree with the policy. You want federal agents to be heard. Now what you want Apparely? Yes. All right, so there is a. In the city of Minneapolis, a separation ordinance which is totally illegal. Okay. That says that the locals don't have to cooperate with the federal government, only illegal. But that's. It's on the books there, just so you know. And I'll tell you, Minnesota is never going to recover from this ever. So just being in Minnesota, nice. And screw up and jump in the lake. I jumped in rainy lake and I had a great time up there. I'm not going back. There's nothing to get me going back to Minnesota. I'm not going and spending money in a state that's in rebellion to the federal government. I'm not doing that. I don't think I'm alone. Polls. All right, so this is a CBS poll. Very simple right now. Do you think the way Immigration Customs ICE is conducting its operations when it stops or detains people is too tough? 61% not tough enough. 15. About right. 24. So you got a plurality that says too tough. And I agree with that. I think ISIS got to bring it down a little bit. Okay? Not chasing criminals. But if it's a marginal situation, you let it go a little. You don't let it go forever. All right? You just take care of it later when its temperature is lower. Now the Democratic Party is divided into moderates and radicals. The radicals run the Democratic Party. One of the radical senators, man named Ruben Gallego from Arizona, who is hoping for a full rebellion. Roll that tape.
C
From my experience running in Arizona in a very hard, hard state when it comes to immigration, immigration issues, people want immigration enforcement that goes after criminals. Right. And focuses on criminals. And immigration enforcement is actually focused on security and not the goon squad that has come from Stephen Miller and Donald Trump.
A
That's totally ridiculous. So ICE agents can't adjudicate people's status in the street. Okay? So they have targets that they're targeting criminals. And the stat that ICE put out about Minnesota is they've rounded up 1500. That's a lot of people. 1500 criminals, foreign nationals there. That's a lot. Anyway, Gallego, I don't know if he's smart enough. I doubt it. But you can't. If you're an ICE agent and you go in on a raid and targeting someone who's a criminal and there are five other people who don't have credentials to be in this country, you just can't let them go. You have to take them in, and then they're adjudicated from there. So it's just, guy's gonna go, okay, you're bad, you're good. Don't have the ability to do that. He or she. It's just so ridiculous. But that's the status of our politics, of our politics today. Okay, Virginia. So the new governor comes in, Abigail Spamberger, replacing Glenn Youngkins. So Governor Youngkins said to Virginia authorities, you got to cooperate. The federal government, when they're hunting down foreign nationals that they want to detain, you got to cooperate. Well, first day, Abigail. Now, you know, this is the Democratic Party. It was the same thing in, in. If you know your history and please read Confronting the presidents, please. Because you had, you know, states ago, hey, we're not going to obey what you say. President Buchanan, President Lincoln, there's no difference. All right, so Spanberger does that. And now Virginia goes over into the sanctuary classification. Now, if you really add it up, what is this all about? The Democratic Party does not oppose open borders. If it did, it would have screamed when Biden was doing that. I'll give you some startling stats in a moment on Biden. But it didn't. It didn't. And to this day, the mainstream Democratic Party. Okay, let everybody in. Let everybody in. They'll never admit it, but that's what they're saying. Okay? And when you have a party, a political party basically doesn't want. Now if the Democrats had any dignity, they introduce new legislation, new immigration law. Let's see what you want. Put it out. No, we don't get any of that. I'd like to see what the Democratic Party wants as far as immigration is reform. I'd like to see it, wouldn't you? So we could debate it. Now the media is firmly on the side. Democrats has been since 1968, hasn't deviated one bit, and now it's crazy because they hate Trump. So this happened on cbs. Margaret Brennan faced the nation with Homeland Security Director Kristi Noem. Go.
D
Every single individual has committed a crime, but 70% of them have committed or have charges against them on violent crimes and crimes that they are charged with or been convicted of that have come from other countries that are here illegally, first of all, and then they have committed a criminal act while they've been here or in their home countries as well. It's not 70%. Yes, it is.
A
Okay, so how do I know? I don't know. You don't know. And that is the weakness in Homeland Security, you got to put it out. How you know that now, Brennan's never going to believe you. No matter what you show her, she doesn't want to believe you. Now, keep that stat in mind, because I'm going to do a 60 Minutes thing in a moment that that stat's going to come into play. Okay, so Brennan, in the interview, I didn't use this part of the sound bite, but says it's 40% that ISIS rounding up that have criminal involvement. NOAM says it's 70% American. People don't know, and that's a weakness. And federal government has got to clarify that. So summing up here. So the radical left is using this to try to destabilize the federal government because they hate Trump, they hate everything that is in capitalist, you know, across the board. And this is an issue, but they're not making inroads yet another shooting of a mother. Got to be careful. Now, federal government's got to understand that, you know, Americans are watching this. I think most Americans want robust immigration enforcement. I could be wrong, but I think they do. But they don't want violence and they don't want unfairness. And that's the memo. All right, so the Justice Department is investigating Jerome Powell, the Fed chair. Now, nobody cares about this, but I do. I'm one of the few that do. 72 years old, and Trump hates this guy. And so a lot of people say it's another revenge play by the president. Jerome Powell being investigated, but there's a little bit more here. So Powell had to testify in front of Congress about a $2.5 billion. 2.5 billion renovation of Fed headquarters in Washington. Now, how do you spend 2.5 billion on a building renovation? How is that possible? I like to know. It's my money, so I'm not real sympathetic to Powell. All right, I understand a personal animus here, but, hey, 2.5 billion. Joining us now from Philadelphia, Anthony Esposito. He's a founder and CEO of Ascalon6 Capital. Okay, so he follows all financial things, including the Fed. What's really going on here, in your opinion, Mr. Esposito?
E
I think that Jerome Powell and Bill, thank you so much for having me. First of all, Jerome Powell has positioned himself in a really bad way with the President because he's done two things that President Trump despises. First, he's attacked America. Second, he's attacked President Trump, and he's done both of those things through his seat at the Fed and monetary policy.
A
So how has he attacked America.
E
He's attacked America with his use of interest rates. If you go back to Trump 1, and I've looked at this pretty in depth, you go back to Trump 1. We had a strong economy, we had low inflation, sub 2%. And Jerome Powell decided that he needed to increase interest rates heading into the tail end of that election and the tail end of that term heading into the election. That made zero sense. Jerome Powell is consistently saying that he's data driven. There was no data at that time to support raising rates into a healthy economy with good employment and with low interest rates. Keep in mind his mandate is full employment and price stability. We were in that position. He was raising rates. He then was told to cut rates by President Biden when he came into office. He cut 175 basis points in 10 days, which is unheard of in 2020, brought rates to basically zero. And then in 2021 into 22, jacked rates up as inflation was going ballistic. And we had 12, 13, 14% inflation rate under President Biden, threw rates up and created a regional banking crisis. That was that scenario at that point. Then we have a point where he is, where it was steady in rates. We're coming into the election and he decides to cut rates again, 50 basis points heading into the election to be supportive of, or you can make a very strong argument to be supportive of Kamala Harris. Cuz there was really no reason to cut rates at that point.
A
Okay, all right, so we got it. We got it. So Trump believes, and I think you're right, that number one, Powell is a deep state guy who favors the Democratic Party and was manipulating the US Economy to get Democrats elected. Correct. That's what Trump believes. Right.
E
I think he pulls back the US Economy when he needs to under Trump. And I think he, he manipulates the rates to benefit the Democrats.
A
Okay, but, but Powell's out of there, retiring in May. So why go after him on a Justice Department beef?
E
Well, now I think you, you get to the point of the, of the, the personal attack on President Trump. President Trump is taking this, in my opinion, as an attack on him. He's not only using the rates to hurt the economy and hurt the American worker, he's actually hurting Trump. Whether it be downplaying or pushing back against an economy that's strong under term one, whether it be trying to influence voters heading into the election last year. I think that Trump at this point is not a fan of Powell. There's no hiding that. But I think when, when the Justice Department decides to investigate or at Least just ask the questions about what he said under oath in front of Congress, in front of the Senate. I don't think President Trump is going to step up and say, I don't think that we should do that. He's a big boy. He should be able to answer questions.
A
And I mean, 2.5 billion is a lot of dollars, you know. Come on. All right, so there is a bit of retribution, in your opinion, in the Justice Department, but there's enough legitimacy to make it not some kind of contrived.
E
Situation, I would say. I don't think President Trump had anything to do with the subpoena, but I'm sure that he's not losing sleep over it.
A
No, but he knew about it. I mean, how? It was a top down Washington run. He might not have known about it before it was issued, but certainly he's up to speed. All right, Mr. Esposito, thanks very much. Very kind of you to help us. And we appreciate it very much. Mexico. So yesterday there was a call and it was between the Mexican President Sheinbaum, Claudia Sheinbaum, who I've been researching. Sheinbaum looks like she's a very hardcore socialist. She really looks like she's out there on the left. And obviously the narcotic situation coming in is not abated. And we saw, you know, we blew the boats out of the water from Venezuela, but that was cocaine. And cocaine is mixed with fentanyl and all that. But the majority of narcotics coming in coming in because the Mexican drug cartels are out of control. And Trump wants to stop that also. And I did not know this, Mexico supplies almost all the oil to Cuba. And President Trump says he's going to allow that to happen to continue. And I suspect he's going to do that because they're close to a deal with Havana. I think that's what's going on anyway. So Sheinbaum wants the money. Not a lot of money involved, but she is a socialist. So she's going to be sympathetic to Havana. So they're going to still ship the oil there, but the cartels shouldn't want to cooperate. You know, Mexican sovereignty and all that. Hey, lady, you're hurting our country, so you better work it out. Okay. Maria Carreno Machado, she is a Venezuelan who apparently won the last election, but Maduro wouldn't leave and she was booted and won a Nobel Peace Prize. She is going to meet with President Trump on Thursday. Now, I did talk to the president about this directly on the phone, and I'm glad this meeting is taking place. Okay. I think that he doesn't, he's not sure if there's anybody in Venezuela can run a country now. But I think the CIA is going to run it for the next year anyway. That's my opinion. And then you have a free election. But I think Ms. Machado should be treated with respect. And the President is going to do that tomorrow. Not tomorrow, Thursday. All right. Now there's been a lot going on, foreign policy wise in this hemisphere and we'll get to Iran in a moment. But there's a guy that we like, he's a professor of history at the University of Arkansas and he's got a book, John Quincy, A Man for the Whole People. And Adams is very involved with foreign policy because he was an ambassador overseas in the early part of our republic. And Randall Woods, Dr. Woods joins us now from Fayetteville, Arkansas. So you say apparently that John Quincy Adams would not have approved of Donald Trump trying to reshape this hemisphere to be more pro American, Is that correct? Do I have it correct? No.
F
I think that he would approve efforts to recreate the Americas to suit our interest. I'm not sure he would have gone about it in exactly the same way. You know, the Monroe Doctrine was both expansionist and isolationist. It was a warning to Europe, the holy alliance to stay out of hemispheric affairs. But it was also a kind of statement that the hemisphere was going to be. We were going to be the hegemon in the hemisphere and not Europe.
A
Right. But I would get an A in your class because my hand would go up and go, hey, Doctor, did you know that John Quincy Adams is Secretary of State under James Monroe? How about that? Okay, that's an eight. So that when the Monroe Doctrine was forged, John Quincy Adams was standing right there going, yay. And now we have the Don Roe Doctrine, which isn't that much difference in the Monroe Doctrine. It's really not, is it?
F
Yeah, it is. It's about the kind of threat, you know, the US Latin American relations is a history of US intervention in Latin America from the Spanish American War when we converted Cuba into a protectorate, to Theodore Roosevelt's big stick and then Woodrow Wilson's missionary diplomacy.
A
We intervened.
F
In the 1930s because of the threat of Japanese and Nazi aggression and then during the Cold War to combat Castroism and the threat of Sino Soviet imperialism. But I don't think there's the existential threat now.
A
Well, let me challenge you on narcotics flooding into this country, killing millions of Americans over periods of time and they're coming from nations in Central and South America. That's a national security threat, is it not?
F
Nobody's forcing Americans to take drugs.
A
No, no, that's true. But you have. No, no, nobody forces anybody. And I have been very harsh on drug addicts because they're helping these cartels. However, that doesn't negate the threat to the country because we have a bunch of idiots that want to get high. And these cartels and Machado, Maduro and the Colombian guy who's going to be neutralized very quickly soon. These are people making money off hurting our country. So president supposed to just do nothing about it? Is that what you're saying?
F
I'm not sure that's a good reason. I think, Michael, I think that Maduro was a bad actor, Is a bad actor.
A
No, he's a corrupt guy. He's got indictments all over the place.
F
There's a lot of other corrupt regimes around the world.
A
You're doing a what about now? We'll knock them down one by one. You got Noriega out of there. It wasn't a scream policy then. And it's the same thing with Maduro. And now did you know that Maduro seized and along with chavez in Venezuela, $19 billion worth of US assets? And people are complaining about Trump seizing their oil or regulating their oil. What are you supposed to do? Just walk away, doctor, of $19 billion in theft? Is that what you would do?
F
Why did Donald Trump pardon the Honduran president?
A
What? Say that again.
F
Why did Donald Trump pardon a convicted drug dealer, the former president of Honduras?
A
Well, he did that for political reasons inside of Honduras, as I explained on this broadcast. And it was about getting a pro American party elected. And this guy, this thug that we convicted is still popular down there. And that's why he did it was a purely political move. So. But you can. What about all day long? I'm not saying that everything Donald Trump does is correct. I'm saying the overarch of challenging anti American countries, countries that are hurting me, my children, my family, is a legitimate way to use our power. Last word.
F
Absolutely, I agree with you. I just think it's. There's a, there's a, there's a better way to do it.
A
What better way than how would you start. Stop all the tons of narcotics coming in.
F
If you look at, if you look at the history of regime changes during the Cold War, they use the CIA.
A
Well, that's what they use it now. The CIA ran that until that entire Venezuela in operation.
F
The CIA is an alternative to armed intervention.
A
The CIA designs the military operations, military action. The Pentagon carries them out. Anyway, very provocative. The book is John Quincy Adams, A Man for the Whole People. And I'm sure you knew this doctor that John Quincy jumped naked into the Potomac river every day. You know, I don't know that had anything to do with his foreign policy, but absolutely, you got a little brisk. Okay. Xi. China. So, you know, I was over there in May and I told you what an intense police state. So this is interesting. So the Central Commission for Discipline in China put this number out. About a million people in 25 were sanctioned by the Chinese government in Beijing. A million. Now, that extends from getting a bullet in the back of the head to disappearing, winding up at some camp way out in western China or a fine or whatever. Remember, they have mobile in China, mobile execution vans that go from town to town and political prisoners being held and just come in and boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. A million. So next time, you know, these are. This is what we're dealing with in this world. Poll, American Politics, Wall Street Journal. Okay, all other things being equal, if the election for Congress held today, more likely to vote for Republican or Democrat? Republican, 43. Democrat, 47. Unsure. 10. That's a tie. All right, second one between Democrats and Congress. Republicans, who in your opinion is best able to handle the economy? Democrats, 32. Republicans, 38. Inflation? Democrats, 32. Republicans,38. Immigration? Democrats, 33. Republicans, 44. Wow. So the midterm's still up in the air. According these numbers, you know, Americans are watching very, very closely. Another poll. Cnn. You know, CNN polls skewed, of course. How motivated are you to vote in the midterms? Extremely motivated. Very motivated. Together, 71%. Not very motivated. 14. Okay, that sounds legitimate to me. People are going to want to get out there. Republicans, extremely motivated, very motivated. 73. Democrats, 81. Advantage to the Democrats there. 60 minutes now. It's a very interesting story. So you'll know or you'll remember if you follow the media that the new woman who runs CBS News, Barry Weiss, held up a report by one of the 60 Minutes correspondence. Sharon for sucker. Something like that. I don't really know. I don't watch the show very much. I used to watch it every night when Mike Wallace. Every time it was on, I watched. But anyway, the story was that US has deported 250 Venezuelans to El Salvador where they get the hell beat out of them in a brutal prison. Okay. Now, some of you know, I covered the war in El Salvador, brutal country. And it was out of control because the gangs, the drug gangs were running it. And then pretty president came in and said, we're throwing you all in jail, no due process. It's going to wound you up. If you got MS.13 on you, you're going brutal prison. So the 60 Minutes crew said, oh, okay. So USA is going to send over 250 Venezuelans to be in this terrible prison. All right, now the subterfuge starts. Number one, nobody in the Trump administration would comment on it. I believe that. I don't think the Trump administration want any part of this story at all. Number two, the person that they used 60 Minutes, CBS News point person is a guy named Juan Papier. He is the deputy director at Human Rights Watch. Human Rights Watch is a far, far, far left organization funded by the likes of George Soros and others, radical organizations. 60 Minutes did not tell its audience that at all. Roll the tape.
G
These people are migrants. And the sad reality is that the US Government tried to make an example out of them. They sent them to a place where they were likely to be tortured to send migrants across Latin America. The message that they should not come to the United States. ICE's own records say that only 3% of them had been sentenced for a violent or potentially violent crime.
A
Sleight of hand. Number one, I don't know. I've never seen that stat. Number two, he says has been sentenced. How would you know? How would you know? All right, he says, oh, we checked in Venezuela, huh? And certainly in the United States, sentenced. That would mean you would have to go through a trial. You'd have to be. And that takes years. Takes years. Now, the correspondent for this, Sharon, had to know all that. Had to know Citrum's first year. If you're going to sentence a foreign national for criminality, those trials take forever. They were 3%, and then they had some guys there. They didn't say how the guys got out of the prison. And it. Oh, it was a mess. It was a mess. Sorry. Smart life. All right, so President Trump says he's going to sue JPMorgan Chase for debanking him after the controversy. January 6, 2021. I don't know, all right? But I do know that this debanking stuff goes on, and it should. Your money should be separate from your politics. So on July 24, 2023, we told you about a new bank, Old Glory, based in Elmore City, Oklahoma. On the board is Ben Carson, Larry Elder, a bunch of other people, and they aren't doing any of this Debanking. And they're not investing in what they consider radical left companies. Okay. So now I get word that Old Glory Bank's been so successful it's going to go public. Now I'm not trying to sell you on Old Glory Bank. I can't give you financial information. I can't. All right. But I can send if you want to do your research. It's old glory bank, one word dot com. Old glory bank dot com ice workforce. So they launch a $10 million. I'm not sure if that's 100 million dollar. I'm sorry, 100 million dollar recruitment push seemed to be a bit excessive. You're trying to cut down a debt here. $100 million to recruit ICE agents. And they've been successful. 120% increase going from 10,000 ICE to 22,000 this year under President Trump. Just so you know, plenty of ICE agents. Okay. I mentioned this. Top of the broadcast, Smart life. So as you know, I'm a luddite. Luddite means you can't fix anything. You don't know technology and. Absolutely I don't. But now I respect the technology immensely because I'm making my living from it. So we do Linear Television News Nation, the first TV. We do DirecTV. We do a lot of it. But our big, big audience is on social media. And YouTube is astronomical for us. So we go on Truth Social. Now Truth Social is what Donald Trump uses to get his messages out. We have more than a million followers. It's staggering. Okay, so if you want to get on that band, it's True Social at official Bill O'Reilly. True social at official Bill O'Reilly. We're very pleased. We got to get the word out. We're overtaking everybody. Nobody competes with us as far as information flow is concerned because we have the 300 radio stations and I'll tell you a little bit about WABC in a moment. And we do have it, but we want to dominate. I keep telling President Trump in my private conversations with him, I said, look, you can go on these shows where everybody loves you, but is that going to help you win the midterms? People are already voting for you. My operation is colossal now. And we reach people all over the place, worldwide too. You want to get a message to Beijing, I'm your guy. So I don't know if the President has grasped it yet. He's a linear TV guy. I do know he watches me and my show. Cuz he told me this is your first up. When I go and review the television. I said, thank you, Mr. President. Very kind of you to say that. But as we're trying to get an interview with them, hey, you know, and I know if I were on Fox still that it would much, much easier for me. But I think politicians, people got to understand the change that is undergoing. The information flow is not where it used to be. Okay, Flu everywhere. Here are the top states. I got my flu shot, by the way. I'm not paranoid vaccine person. All right? States with very high flu activity are Maine, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, Michigan, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota. They have very this caught according to cdc. Okay, there it is. So I told my son who's in school, you better get a flu shot. He's been procrastinating, okay? And so today I said, look, if you get the flu, nobody's gonna help you because I'm the only one to help you anyway, okay? And nobody's gonna come in to your dwelling at school and nurse you when you have the flu. You're going to be there suffering alone. Get the flu shot. That was my pitch. Okay, Final thought of the day. Got a very sad letter today from a concierge member. And remember, if you're in trouble, you come to us and we'll try to help you. Concierge membership. The woman's broke. She's a widow. She got bills. She can't pay them. They don't know what to do. So she wants people to give her money. Okay? Now, it's my job to keep all of you, every person watching and listening to me tonight in the real world. So I had to say, and I was so sad, said, nobody is going to give you money. No one, because they don't know you. They don't know your circumstance. You could be a con person. I don't think she is. I thought this was a very sincere letter, but that's not going to happen. Now, if you have family or longtime friends, they might help you out maybe, but strangers aren't going to help you out. I know they have these GoFundMe places. I got it. And once in a while it can be effective. But if you are in dire circumstance, and this woman sounded me like she was, I steered her to a place in our state that deals with people in trouble like this. And I said, go there, talk to the people and report back to me and what they tell you to do. Because there are programs, particularly for the elderly, for senior citizens, our programs. Every state that can help you pay down debt, manage things, things like that. You just have to know where they are and we'll give it to you. That's part of our service here. But the woman kind of thought that people were going to give her money to bail her out. Not going to happen. And even asking friends and family for money is so, so difficult not only for the person asking but for the person on the receiving end of the request like this, you know, because everybody's circumstance is different. You know, everybody has got obligations, generosity. We're the most generous people on earth, Americans far and away, you know, second Canadians. But we're way ahead of that and we do give. But personal circumstances, mismanagement, things like that, very, very hard. Anyway, we'll help this woman. I don't know if we can help all our problems, but we'll try. Thank you for watching and listening to the no Spin News. I'm Bill O'Reilly. We'll see again tomorrow.
