Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Standby for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition on this Thursday. Most Americans don't watch 60 Minutes, but if you are over 35 years old, you probably heard of the program. Thanks to Mike Wallace, Don Hewitt, Ed Bradley, Morley Safer, the CBS News magazine is a huge profit generator to this day. However, CBS reporter Scott Pelley says new management, headed by Larry and David Ellison are trying to murder the program. That's overstated, of course. They may be trying to rough it up a bit, but homicide is not profitable. Having worked at CBS News a long time ago, I can testify that a liberal culture took root after anchorman Walter Cronkite retired and Dan Rather took over. Bernie Goldberg wrote a whole book about that called bias. Mr. Rather did not like said book. Now reform is in the air. No longer will Lesley Stahl, for example, be allowed to defend Hunter Biden's laptop or other correspondence demean President Trump, as Norah O' Donnell recently tried to do. Mr. Trump is getting the blame for the cultural adjustment at 60 minutes. And the president is certainly involved to some extent, but he is not an accessory to murder. The truth is 60 minutes allowed an anti Trump agenda to flourish. That's the real felony if honest reporting is is the goal. Back in a moment. Listen up.

That is the Morning O'Reilly update. More analysis later on.
Host: Bill O’Reilly
Main Theme: Changes at CBS’s "60 Minutes"—Media Bias and Institutional Reform
In this episode’s morning update, Bill O’Reilly examines the reported turmoil and leadership shakeup at CBS’s "60 Minutes," exploring its historic role in journalism, its alleged liberal bias following key management transitions, and current reforms under new leadership. O’Reilly critiques the program’s veer toward an anti-Trump agenda, evaluates recent and upcoming changes, and underscores the ongoing cultural debate in American broadcast journalism.
On management changes:
“They may be trying to rough it up a bit, but homicide is not profitable.” — Bill O’Reilly [00:27]
On ideological shifts:
“A liberal culture took root after anchorman Walter Cronkite retired and Dan Rather took over. Bernie Goldberg wrote a whole book about that called bias.” — Bill O’Reilly [00:39]
On the real journalistic transgression:
“The truth is 60 Minutes allowed an anti-Trump agenda to flourish. That's the real felony if honest reporting is the goal.” — Bill O’Reilly [01:23]
