Here's an interesting question. Which ideology has more fanatical loons, left or right? There's no polling data on it because most people won't admit they hold extreme views. The bubbles they live in prevent rational assessment. Anyway, I think there are more far left folks in America than far right. I could be wrong, but with many enormous cities controlled by ardent leftists, the demographics are on my side. Both political extremes are very vocal and nutty messages are easily carried on social media. The fanatical Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is one of the most famous liberal politicians in the usa. The equally fervent Marjorie Taylor Greene is working towards that status. On the conservative side, it was fascinating to see Ms. Greene try to block President Trump's arms deal with NATO. Why, Marge? Why do you want to help the psychopathic Putin? Greene's congressional colleagues shut her down. But come on, the far right, Senator Barry Goldwater believed that extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. But here's my can defend liberty without being an ideological loon. Just ask George Washington. Back in a moment. Let's face it, the US Economy is under stress, national debt rising, trade war shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis
Episode: O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, July 17, 2025
Release Date: July 17, 2025
In this episode, Bill O’Reilly delves into the contentious debate on which political ideology harbors more extreme elements—left or right. He posits that determining the prevalence of fanaticism within these groups is challenging due to the lack of polling data, as many individuals are reluctant to disclose their extreme views.
"Which ideology has more fanatical loons, left or right? There's no polling data on it because most people won't admit they hold extreme views."
[00:30]
O'Reilly suggests that the echo chambers or "bubbles" created by social media and partisan environments prevent a rational assessment of extremism across the political spectrum.
O’Reilly highlights two prominent political figures as exemplars of leftist and right-wing fervor respectively:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC): Representing the liberal side, AOC is portrayed as one of the most recognizable and passionate liberal politicians in the United States.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: On the conservative front, Greene is identified as a rising star aiming to match AOC’s influence within the Republican Party.
"The fanatical Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is one of the most famous liberal politicians in the USA. The equally fervent Marjorie Taylor Greene is working towards that status."
[01:15]
A significant portion of the discussion centers around Marjorie Taylor Greene’s controversial attempt to obstruct President Donald Trump’s arms deal with NATO. O’Reilly questions Greene's motivations, especially her stance seemingly favoring Russian President Vladimir Putin's interests.
"It was fascinating to see Ms. Greene try to block President Trump's arms deal with NATO. Why, Marge? Why do you want to help the psychopathic Putin?"
[02:00]
Despite her efforts, Greene's actions were met with resistance from her Congressional colleagues, who ultimately shut down her attempt.
"Greene's congressional colleagues shut her down."
[02:20]
O’Reilly reflects on historical perspectives regarding the defense of liberty, citing Senator Barry Goldwater as an example of advocating for freedom without descending into ideological extremism.
"Senator Barry Goldwater believed that extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. But here's how I can defend liberty without being an ideological loon. Just ask George Washington."
[02:45]
He emphasizes the importance of maintaining liberty through balanced and principled approaches rather than through fanaticism.
Transitioning from political discourse, O’Reilly addresses the current state of the U.S. economy, highlighting several pressing issues:
Rising National Debt: The increasing national debt poses significant challenges to economic stability.
Trade Wars: Ongoing trade conflicts are unsettling markets and impacting economic growth.
China’s Economic Maneuvers: China is actively dumping the U.S. dollar while simultaneously stockpiling gold, signaling potential shifts in global economic power dynamics.
"The US Economy is under stress, national debt rising, trade war shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold."
[03:10]
While this section borders on promotional content, O’Reilly offers personal financial advice in the context of the economic uncertainties discussed. He advocates for safeguarding savings through physical gold and silver, recommending American Hartford Gold as a trusted dealer for precious metals and tax-advantaged Gold IRAs.
"That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold."
[03:35]
He highlights the benefits of their services, including the convenience of home delivery and assistance with rolling over existing IRAs or 401(k)s without incurring taxes or penalties.
In this edition of the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, Bill O’Reilly provides a critical analysis of political extremism in the United States, using prominent figures to illustrate his points. He underscores the importance of defending liberty without resorting to fanaticism and raises concerns about the current economic challenges facing the nation.
