Bill O'Reilly here and I'm warming up. Standby for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition on this Wednesday. In real life, I don't watch a lot of television news because I learn very little by doing so. Yes, I run my own news agency, so I have access to information far beyond most folks. But the main reason TV media fails me is is because it's incredibly lazy. While in the Far east at the end of May, I watched CNN in the evening because that was my only source for American news. No Fox, no NBC. CNN has the overseas market locked up because of the 12 hour time difference I was consuming. CNN's morning program, it featured skilled broadcasters. They were good, but the presentation was mostly biased and foolish. Here's what the network does. It selects a topic, say Trump's battle with Harvard. Then it brings in a guest who bashes the president without challenge or even interruption. Over and over again, this happens. Liberal guests bloviating while the anchor naps. And I don't blame the news person. It's incredibly boring, predictable, a waste of time. This lazy formula is not working as CNN's viewership has dramatically declined. Yet the producers seem satisfied because every day it's the same thing. Why? I don't know. It's not difficult to mix it up with different points of view. Yes, CNN is a left wing network. Yes, it's failing back after this. Did you know that Fast Growing Trees is the biggest online nursery in the USA with thousands of different plants and more than 2 million happy customers. Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis
Episode: O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, June 4, 2025
Host: Bill O'Reilly
Release Date: June 4, 2025
In the June 4, 2025 episode of "Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis," host Bill O'Reilly delivers a critical examination of the current state of television news media, with a particular focus on CNN's morning programming. O'Reilly leverages his perspective as the head of his own news agency to contrast his approach to news dissemination with that of mainstream networks.
Bill O'Reilly opens the episode by sharing his personal media consumption habits, highlighting a deliberate distance from traditional television news sources. He states:
"[00:02]... In real life, I don't watch a lot of television news because I learn very little by doing so."
He attributes his minimal reliance on television news to his ownership of a news agency, which he believes provides superior access to information compared to what is available to the average viewer.
O'Reilly shifts focus to a specific critique of CNN, detailing his observations from watching their evening broadcasts while in the Far East. He notes the strategic advantage CNN has in overseas markets due to time zone differences:
"[00:02]... While in the Far East at the end of May, I watched CNN in the evening because that was my only source for American news. No Fox, no NBC. CNN has the overseas market locked up because of the 12-hour time difference I was consuming."
Despite acknowledging the skill of CNN's broadcasters, O'Reilly criticizes the network for what he perceives as a lack of depth and diverse perspectives in their reporting:
"[00:02]... The presentation is mostly biased and foolish."
He elaborates on the repetitive nature of CNN's programming, using the example of how topics are handled without sufficient challenge or balance:
"[00:02]... Here's what the network does. It selects a topic, say Trump's battle with Harvard. Then it brings in a guest who bashes the president without challenge or even interruption. Over and over again, this happens. Liberal guests bloviating while the anchor naps."
O'Reilly argues that this formulaic approach contributes to a decline in viewership, emphasizing the predictability and lack of engagement in CNN's content:
"[00:02]... This lazy formula is not working as CNN's viewership has dramatically declined."
Concluding his critique, O'Reilly questions the network's resistance to change and the potential benefits of incorporating a wider range of viewpoints:
"[00:02]... It's not difficult to mix it up with different points of view. Yes, CNN is a left wing network. Yes, it's failing back after this."
He underscores the importance of challenging discussions and varied perspectives as a means to revitalizing news programming and retaining audience interest.
Bill O'Reilly's analysis in this episode presents a forthright critique of CNN's approach to morning news programming, highlighting issues of bias, lack of diversity in viewpoints, and repetitive content as factors in declining viewership. He calls for a more dynamic and balanced presentation of news topics to better serve the audience and improve network performance.
