Hi, I'm here to pick up my son, Milo. There's no Milo here. Who picked up my son from school? Streaming only on Peacock. I'm gonna need the name of everyone that could have a connection. You don't understand. It was just the five of us. So this was all planned. What are you gonna do? I will do whatever it takes to get my son back. I honestly didn't see this coming. These nice people killing each other. All her fault. A new series streaming now only on peacock. Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Standby for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition. On this Friday, President Trump believes there is a, quote, enemy within that he must deal with. That enemy is the radical left. Those who oppose the president say this is just another example of an authoritarian leader trying to destroy freedom of speech, dissenting points of view. So let's examine without emotion, the progressive left generally believes America is not a noble country and never has been. They want total change, a more socialist economy, a less punitive justice system, DEI policies, open immigration. Is that point of view dangerous? Well, I think it is, but it's allowed under the First Amendment. What is not legal is law breaking, rioting, promoting violence. President Trump is certainly within his authority to confront those things, but he should provide backup for what he is doing. During the Vietnam War, there was a violent movement in the USA on a number of fronts. The Black Panthers, the Weathermen, the Symbionese Liberation Army. The FBI was dispatched to deal with them and was largely successful. Political violence of any kind is unacceptable. Decent people know that. And the enemy within that practices violence must be defeated by constitutional means. Back in a moment. Let's face it, the US Economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver. Host: Bill O’Reilly
On this morning’s brief edition, Bill O’Reilly analyzes recent comments from President Trump about an “enemy within” and explores the debate surrounding the radical left, dissent, and historical context for government response to political violence. O’Reilly seeks to examine these issues “without emotion,” focusing on the legal and constitutional boundaries for protest and state action.
O’Reilly opens with:
"President Trump believes there is a, quote, enemy within that he must deal with. That enemy is the radical left." (01:03)
He explains the opposition’s view:
"Those who oppose the president say this is just another example of an authoritarian leader trying to destroy freedom of speech, dissenting points of view." (01:16)
O’Reilly characterizes the progressive left as:
"The progressive left generally believes America is not a noble country and never has been. They want total change, a more socialist economy, a less punitive justice system, DEI policies, open immigration." (01:28)
He questions if these ideas pose real dangers but reaffirms legal protections:
"Is that point of view dangerous? Well, I think it is, but it's allowed under the First Amendment." (01:37)
"What is not legal is law breaking, rioting, promoting violence. President Trump is certainly within his authority to confront those things, but he should provide backup for what he is doing." (01:43)
O’Reilly references violent political movements of the 1960s and '70s
"During the Vietnam War, there was a violent movement in the USA on a number of fronts. The Black Panthers, the Weathermen, the Symbionese Liberation Army." (01:54)
He notes the government’s response:
"The FBI was dispatched to deal with them and was largely successful." (02:05)
"Political violence of any kind is unacceptable. Decent people know that. And the enemy within that practices violence must be defeated by constitutional means." (02:11)
Defining Boundaries:
"Is that point of view dangerous? Well, I think it is, but it's allowed under the First Amendment." (01:37)
Absolute Condemnation:
"Political violence of any kind is unacceptable. Decent people know that." (02:11)
Historical Reference:
"The FBI was dispatched to deal with them and was largely successful." (02:05)
In this episode, Bill O’Reilly critiques the radical left’s critique of America and contextualizes President Trump’s rhetoric about domestic enemies. He draws a distinction between dangerous ideas—which he personally opposes, but recognizes as constitutionally protected—and outright criminal or violent actions, which must be confronted by the authorities. To ground his argument, O’Reilly references past government responses to political violence and calls for any current response to be rooted in constitutional law, drawing a firm line against authoritarian overreach while also demanding zero tolerance for violence.
