Bill O'Reilly
I'm Bill O'Reilly. You're listening to around the World. Let's begin. Now. Today, I want to talk about the media in the form of Howard Stern. It was an interesting story that pretty much only I can tell because I've been in the media longer than anybody
Chris Cuomo
else,
Bill O'Reilly
more than 50 years. So way back in 1975, I was at Boston University, and so was Howard. We were attending the School of Communications, all right? And the only reason I knew Howard Stern was because he was the only person taller than me in the building. So I'm 6 foot 4, and he with the hair he had and everything, probably six, five. But anyway, you could see him slouching around. But I really didn't have much to do with him. I was a grad student. He was an undergrad student, but I knew he was. And he was on school radio station, all of that. So after that, Stern started his career, he started in a very small station in Briarcliff Manor, New York. And then he got into big guns, wnbc. And they had all kinds of trouble there with Stern because Stern is a maverick. You're going to say what he wants, and, you know, you take it or you leave it. But with sponsorship and all that, WNBC in New York, they. It was an ongoing thing. If you watch any of Stern's movies, you'll see that. So he goes over to FM, where you got a little more freedom. You WXRK. And he's there for 20 years, and he makes an enormous impact across the country. So there were two guys in my lifetime who dominated talk radio. Rush Limbaugh, the late Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern, and they were not similar in any way. Stern was a pure entertainer, and Limbaugh was a pure conservative ideologue, okay? But they dominated. They were by far the most successful people on radio. And everybody knew their names and followed them and all of that. Now, Stern himself, in a very interesting life. He's a Jewish man. He was raised in Queens and Long island, where he had a pretty hard time in some childhood situations on the south shore of Long Island. I know that area and I know what happened to him. But he very talented in the sense that he was quick witted and he was not afraid. And he would ask stuff in interviews, kind of like me, that most people wouldn't ask. And he built up an enormous following, so much so that he made hundreds of millions of dollars. I mean, I think his last contract at serious. Let me get the numbers here. 120 million, they say. Now, that's probably not true because agents put that stuff out, but I think he was probably good for 75 million a year on Sirius with that contract. But they say all good things come to an end. And Howard is done. Why? Now the story gets interesting. So Howard Stern made his success speaking to working class men, okay? That's what his audience is comprised of truck drivers, you know, cops, whatever. Working class men. Many of those people supported Donald Trump. In fact, Stern was friends with Trump. They would hang out together. I never hung out with Howard Stern. He came on the Factor. We had a good conversation, but it just wasn't my world. Okay, But Trump was on his show, they were out, they were about. And all of this. Well, in 2020, after the president lost to Joe Biden, Stern had totally dismissed Donald Trump and not in a kind way. Roll it.
Howard Stern
The oddity in all of this is the people Trump despises most love him the most. Go look at Mar A Lago, see if there's any people that look like you. I'm talking to you in the audience. The Trump voter who, you know, idolizes the guy, he despises you. I don't hate Donald. Donald's doing his thing. I hate you for voting for him, for not having an intelligence, not able to see what's going on with the coronavirus, not able to see what the Justice Department is doing. I hate you. I don't want you here.
Bill O'Reilly
And that message got out fast and the audience left. Simple as that. So Howard Cern lost his core audience because he goes, I hate you. Now, in reality, Donald Trump's done a lot for working Americans as far as rise in wages. I've been with him on many occasions where I've seen him interact with working class people. Always unfailingly polite, very kind to his own staff. And their working people. Mar a Lago, Is there anybody that looks like you? Yeah, all the people that work for him, they look like us. So when Stern did that, I went, ooh, that's not going to turn out well for Howard. Because the audience, they'll take criticism, but not that personal. Not that personal. And so now Stern is down, according to serious, to one show a week, one original a week, but he's pretty much done. Okay. You can't make big money on one show a week. He's got the archives and Sirius will be. Used that on their channels or whatever they do. But I don't think I have ever seen in the media of any kind a guy like Stern at that level just blow up his core audience. Stunning. Someday, if I ever run into Howard, which is doubtful, he doesn't come out a lot, I'm going to ask him about him. Here's my NewsNation appearance with Leland Vitter.
Pete Hegseth
Bill, you know, a lot of people right now are talking about what Trump should do to Iran. Turn it around on you. What should Trump demand? Iran does not what they say, what they do before stopping strikes and agreeing to a ceasefire.
Bill O'Reilly
It's the same thing he wanted. At the end of Feb. January, early February, you let the weapons inspectors in to monitor your uranium enrichment and you leave the Strait of Hormuz alone. That's it. There's no terror component to it. There's no leave the UAE alone, don't do anything in Israel. None of that. It was down to two things. Now, the problem for President Trump is that the American people aren't backing him the way they usually do in the MAGA forces anyway because of high costs of gasoline and food. So he doesn't have that popular opinion. Most Americans know what the President did was the right thing to do. I mean, you don't let a terrorist state develop a nuclear weapon unless you're ready to violate the Treaty of Versailles and have a guy with a small mustache take over Europe. Okay? And at that point in history, the Europeans and America were willing to do that. Well, Trump is not. So right now, it's impossible to ascertain what's really happening because we don't have any reporters on the ground. We don't know now there is a blockade back.
Pete Hegseth
We got three American body bags, Bill, to know what's happening.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay, you got three American body breads. What does that mean in the big picture?
Pete Hegseth
It means that Iran is. We know the Strait of Hormuz is not open. We know that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard is still very Much in charge. We know that their military capabilities are such that they can defeat US Air defenses. We know that they can attack Kuwait and Qatar at will. And we know they can close the Strait of Hormuz and raise the. The price of gas. We can ascertain a lot of what's going on.
Bill O'Reilly
Well, I don't think it's that cut and dried at all. You can get ships through Hormuz. It's risky, and the insurance companies don't want to do it, but you can get them through. And the casualties, the KIAs, they are to be saluted. But what else? What are you gonna say? You're fighting people who are desperate and they're gonna try to kill you? That's what war is.
Pete Hegseth
You think they're really that desperate? We don't know.
Bill O'Reilly
Yeah, I think they're desperate. We don't know. We Americans, we don't know the extent. If they're so desperate, economic damage.
Pete Hegseth
If they're so desperate, why aren't they agreeing to a deal? That was a sweetheart deal. They're raising the stakes. They're the ones lashing out. They're the ones not living up to just basic commitments. And we're supposed to believe they're the ones who are desperate?
Bill O'Reilly
Well, I'll answer that question with a history question. Why didn't the Nazis withdraw from Stalingrad when everybody knew they were losing and it was going to be a tide turn on the war? Some people are crazy. Mullahs are in that category, okay? And they're going to stick it out for whatever propaganda reason. But we the people do not know the extent of the pain that the Persian people are experiencing.
Pete Hegseth
What's that have to do with the price of Jews?
Bill O'Reilly
Don't know. What was that?
Pete Hegseth
A couple of things about that. If you want to compare the mullahs to the Nazis, I think it's very apt. Roosevelt demanded unconditional surrender. Eisenhower knew that this would be a fight until Hitler killed himself. There was no negotiation. There was no trying to make a deal with the Nazis for the very reasons you just laid out.
Bill O'Reilly
But the American public was willing to accept hundreds of thousands of casualties. And in our country, we are not willing to accept any casualties. That's the difference. And that makes it very difficult for a president to wage any kind of conflict. So he is almost trapped in what he can do. I'd like to know. This blockade of the Iranian ports by American warships, what effect that has on the regular people, I would love to.
Pete Hegseth
You think the mullahs care? What's Happening to the people doesn't matter
Bill O'Reilly
to me because the people themselves have to eat and I don't know it. And no pundit knows it and no reporter knows it because nobody is allowed into the country to assess it. So we don't know.
Pete Hegseth
Again. But what does that have to do with the paucity in China? You think the Iranian people have got to.
Bill O'Reilly
What I got to do is. I don't know. No, I don't think they will because.
Pete Hegseth
So why does it matter whether. Why does it matter what their economic condition is?
Bill O'Reilly
Well, because if they're starving, they'll have to. Then it becomes life and death. You got to feed your three year old, that's why. And that's one of our strategies right now. We're not going to kill the people in Tehran directly with bombs. We're going to make it so difficult for them to function day to day, they'll demand that the mullahs stop the madness. Now, do I know what's going to happen? No. But I do know that the President has shrinking options. Which brings me back to my initial analysis, the biggest gamble of his life. Okay, because you don't know. Look, nobody knew that mao Zedong killed 10 million of his own people. No one knew that because there wasn't any reporting about it. It was impossible to get dispatches out of China. So when finally, years later, people discovered how the Communists took over, it was terrifying. But the moment had passed. And so now we're in a position where the Iranians and I'll address the Cuomo show. The reason the Pentagon doesn't want to banner American casualties is to give the Mullahs a propaganda victory. That's why.
Pete Hegseth
Well, hold on, Bill. You can't have it both ways.
Bill O'Reilly
They don't want to try it out.
Pete Hegseth
Well, they also don't want it out because they don't want the issue in the United States. You just said the American people won't accept casualties. The Pentagon can't. To your point, you're making your own point. The Pentagon also can't. From a domestic political perspective in the United states, when only 30% of Americans support the war. Talk about how good the Iranian military is and the damage it's causing. And it's perplexing to me why President Trump has so oversold the damage to the Iranian military. Take a listen.
Bill O'Reilly
Iran is in a very bad position. They have no military. Iran has no navy. They have no air force. They have very few soldiers. Their military has been totally wiped out. Their leadership has been wiped out. Their radar has Been wiped out. Everything has been wiped out.
Chris Cuomo
They have a little capability, but they
Bill O'Reilly
don't have any capability for us.
Chris Cuomo
We've taken away all of their, almost
Bill O'Reilly
all of their military capability. They've got very little left. They've got some missiles, they've got some drones, they've got some manufacturing ability.
Howard Stern
Not much.
Pete Hegseth
He's going to have to meet the families at Dover after saying the Iranian military is wiped out.
Bill O'Reilly
Well, hyperbola is part of every war, every war that's ever existed. You're going to have one side say one thing and the other side say the other thing. So President Trump is trying to rally the American people to his cause. That's what he's trying to do. And we don't know what the situation is, how frustrating that is. It's crazy frustrating, particularly if you're in the honest reporting business. Unfortunately, most media corporations in America are not in that business. They want to see Trump lose this. They want the Mueller.
Pete Hegseth
The Pentagon did throw the reporters out, to be fair.
Bill O'Reilly
Yeah, the Pentagon is. Look, they're not. Look, from the very beginning, I questioned the appointment of the Secretary of War. Okay. I didn't think he had the experience. I did not think that he was able to run an enormous bureaucracy around the world. And I have been proven correct. I'm not going to cheap shot him because I don't know what Mr. Hesath is told to do or why he's told to do it. So. So for me to cheap shot the man would be ridiculous because I'm not privy to that. But certainly they don't want they, being the military, to put a loser label on this conflict. Come on, you've been around. Nobody's going to brand themselves a loser.
Pete Hegseth
No, I.
Bill O'Reilly
And that's why they're holding back the information. They're holding back bad information.
Pete Hegseth
Right. That didn't work out very well for the US Military. It didn't work out very well for the US Military or for the president that matter during Vietnam, did it?
Bill O'Reilly
No, because it was a totally different situation there. You had a army, a military that didn't want to be there. It was a drafty army. And so you had this turbulence within the core. You don't have that now. What you have now is decision making. And the American people don't understand what the decision making is based on. We just don't have the data. We had the data in Vietnam. You could see the guys coming back from the battlefield there. I saw them in my neighborhood. It was devastating. Okay. You don't see that now you don't know now. And I'm praying literally that the mollahs collapse, that the Persians say enough and overthrow them like they did to Shah. But that's going to take courage, Leland. It's going to take a lot of courage to overthrow the Revolutionary Guard. And right now the Persian people don't have it.
Pete Hegseth
Well, one place to place blame. I understand, Bill, thank you very much.
Bill O'Reilly
Here's my weekly appearance with WOR's Mark Simone.
Sid Rosenberg
Bill O'Reilly, how you doing?
Chris Cuomo
We're editing the next Do It Live. It'll be with Geraldo.
Sid Rosenberg
Oh, I like that.
Chris Cuomo
So it was almost 20 years ago where we had the brawl on television about illegal migrant crime. So Rollo's now 83 years old and I'm 37.
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
And we're going to reprise that. And I think people will find it very interesting about changes in his thinking and my thinking over the 20 years. So that will drop on Thursday. And Billowilly.com, thank you for kindly mentioning it, is where all our stuff is. We make it very easy for people to access it. Yeah.
Sid Rosenberg
So hey, you know, obviously everybody remembers the Barney Frank battle you had, but I always remember George Will cause we all thought of very took him very seriously with the bow tie. And then one night you just really exposed that guy. You might want to.
Chris Cuomo
Yeah, it was the same old thing that Mr. Will, who writes for the Washington Post, nothing wrong with that. A traditional conservative out of the William Buckley cadre was basically hating on Trump and by extension anybody who thought Trump was worthy. And I was reading yourself, I don't mind people dissenting about President Trump. I mean, come on, it's a country you live in. But Will's analysis got to be very personal. And I know something about George Will. He was very cozy with Ronald Reagan, particularly Nancy Reagan. He dined with Nancy Reagan every week, just him and her. And he was really deeply involved at that Republican administration. And then he comes out and, and does all this stuff. So I think I called him a hack, which was immature on my part. But subsequently I think I've been right about him.
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah, no, that was the end.
Chris Cuomo
He kind of disappeared. And he's not relevant anym because he, you know, once you get in and you're a so called journalist and once you get cozy with a politician, any politician, you really lose credibility. You really do. And that's what My objection to Mr. Will was.
Sid Rosenberg
No, it was a, you really punctured that balloon that night. I never forgot that. So, hey, also, if you go to billorilley.com you can watch this. You on Bill Maher, talking about Bill Maher. He goes on NPR and he tells them right to their face how slanted and biased they are. What do you make of Bill Maher? Sometimes he's very logical. Sometimes he's a little crazy.
Chris Cuomo
I think Maher himself is an independent thinker. I defended him after 911 when he said that the terrorists weren't cowards. I don't know. You remember they got fired from ABC for saying that.
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
And his point of view was, look, they gave their lives for Allah, whoever you know, there, and they killed people. But you, you can call them every name in the book, but they weren't cowards. I didn't, I wasn't offended by that. So when ABC fired him, because ABC was totally different company at the time, I said, I don't think that's right. You can disagree with more now over the years, I have a lot to do with Bill. I run into him occasionally. I was on his program on in December. I mean, he's a big pot guy. He and Woody Harrelson have opened pot stores. I'm not into that drug culture. I think it is very pernicious, particularly for children and, you know, parading around smoking pot, that's not a big plus in my, in my thinking. But he's one of the few that'll go on television and say things that he knows might come back to bite him. So he does have an element of courage. And that's what I pointed out. NPR is the biggest phony limousine liberal network around. Maybe PS CBS is worse, but they're vying for the title and, you know, Mars sits there with the guy and says, look, you guys are a bunch of, you know, propagandists primarily, which they are.
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah. Hey, Bill O'Reilly, you're a big sports fan. You attend a lot of games. What about this World Cup? I'm glad it's over. I'm glad they're gone. Am I wrong? Was it a great thing?
Chris Cuomo
Yeah, I fell asleep in the last game. I mean, soccer is not my, my thing. I played a lot of semi pro baseball. I played high school ice hockey and college football. I'm a standardized American guy. I don't want to be kicking the ball around for an hour and 20 minutes. I mean, it's just not, I don't play golf either. I mean, I, you know, okay, how, how long are we going to be out there with the little cart? So the World cup was excellent for America. Excellent doesn't matter who won or who lost. And, you know, but the images of our country and the people having fun with foreign nationals who came over to watch the games and the interactions were all very positive, extremely so. And when you travel the world and I've been in 90 countries, you don't see that kind of, hey, America is a great place. You don't see it, but you did see it at the World Cup. And it's a miracle that with all of those games and all of those venues, nothing untoward happened, that our security services kept things under control. Everything fell into place for the usa. And, you know, I'm proud of my country and I was very proud of the way it handled the World Cup.
Sid Rosenberg
Oh, right. Well, that's good points. Your book, your new book, Confronting America. Hey, I've noticed some Democrats, some voices are confronting their own party now, telling them they got to get rid of this crazy left wing socialist loony stuff and get back to normal. You think that's a growing movement?
Chris Cuomo
Well, it almost has to be if the Democratic Party believes it's going to retain any kind of power. So there's a new poll, Washington Post poll out, that even though President Trump's underwater on the economy under Iran, underwater on a lot of big issues, the Republicans are within three points of winning the midterm elections. This is a Washington Post. And that's because people around the country, they may say, oh, I don't really like Donald Trump or I don't like the Republicans, but these other people are worse and they are. So they've all come out of the closet, the big communist closet, and they're all running wild with arrogance. And we're going to do this. And the regular folks, not the folks living on Park Avenue on the Upper east side or west side of Manhattan, the regular people in Toledo, in Albuquerque, don't want an enormous government telling them how to live. And if the Republican Party would seize upon the potential danger of that, it would, I think, win the midterms despite Iran and the affordability stuff.
Howard Stern
Yeah.
Sid Rosenberg
Hey, your new book is Confronting America. It's a really powerful book. You can order it on Amazon right now or go to billoreilly.com and it comes out in September, right?
Chris Cuomo
September 15th. And reason I wrote this book is look like you I've been around for a while and we know everybody and we've seen pretty much everything. And I decided, look, I'm not going to write a book about what anybody else says. I'm not going to write a book about history because I'VE done that. I may do it again, but I've done that. I'm going to write a book about what I've seen and what has influenced my life and my kids and on and on and pinpoint the problems. And the subtitle of the book is what has to Change and offer some solutions to the Problems. It drives me nuts. So I, you know, I go on these shows on News Nation, a whole bunch of other places and they go, affordability. This is the left, affordability. I said, okay, what's your solution to affordability? Silence. They don't have a solution because the government does not control the capitalistic economy. Remember eggs?
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
Remember when Trump came in? Eggs. Eggs. Oh, eggs. They're $80 an egg, okay? Now eggs are lower than they've ever been because there are more eggs in the marketplace. And the transportation problems getting the eggs and into the grocery stores has been solved. That's capitalism. The government has nothing to do with price and wages. It tried, failed. And so when you hear the words affordability, which you'll hear a thousand times up until November, then you just look, okay, what are you going to do? What is affordability? What are you going to do now? Mamdani, to his credit, I don't believe I just said that, says I'm taking over everything. I'm going to take over everything, food distribution, who comes in and out of New York City, how much you have to pay New York City? And I'll keep going up and up and up and up and up just to live here. How many months you can stay in an apartment? I mean, he said India, I'm taking it all over no matter what it is. The means of production of New York City. I'm gonna run it. Okay. At least the guy's honest. Guy like Bill Moore, right?
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
Well, is this what you want, a 34 year old slacker telling you how to live? Is that what you want?
Mike Baker
No.
Sid Rosenberg
Bill O'Reilly, great stuff. Thanks for being with us.
Bill O'Reilly
Chris Cuomo and I duke it out on News Nation. You got a situation where 80% of Americans want every migrant out of here. So that political reality drove the Trump administration to be very harsh in its containment of people who came in under the Biden open border policy. That's the history of it. And when you have that harsh message go out, you're going to have problems. It's not a disciplined agency. It reminds me of the Secret Service after Butler, Pennsylvania. It's very similar to that. So when President Trump was shot in Butler, there were so Many mistakes made by the Secret Service in coordination with the local authorities. They had to fire the Secret Service head, you'll remember she left. And they had to revamp almost everything, including hiring. I think ICE is now in the process of doing that. And I hope Homan, who I like, I mean he was on the Three American Special with you, me and Stephen A. Smith. I never had a problem with Homan, but he is a worker. He does take orders. And the orders are just like last night when you were talking about the Pentagon. You could just replace ICE with the Pentagon and you were saying, well, why don't we get any information? Why aren't we knowing about the service, people who are killed? Well, the reason is that in a conflict with Iran, the President, the Pentagon, everybody involved doesn't want to be branded a loser. They don't want to give Iran any advantage to say, look, we're winning, we're winning this, we're killing Americans. And that's why there's a reticence to release information. It's almost the same thing here. So the government knows, and I think Mullen, to be fair, is aware of this, that there are a lot of ICE agents who are not doing their job properly. Now, I don't, I can't put a percentage on it, but they're too harsh. So now we see today they're all going to have to wear uniforms so that there's no mix up. Oh, I thought I'd be fired by a gangster or whatever it may. They are going to get their body cameras. And that's a back and forth between both parties saying, oh, it's your fault they don't have. No, it's your fault they don't have them. You know the game.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Yeah, but one of them is right and the other one is maga. That's a lie that the Democrats stopped it. I'm not saying you're saying it, but they keep saying the Democrats stopped it. It's demonstrably false. We did it right on the show. Tom Homan knows well, by shutting why they don't have it.
Bill O'Reilly
By shutting down the government, by the Democrats shutting down the government. That did not expedite those cameras. A fair statement.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
They shut down dhs, not the entire government. Yes. Any shutdown is going to not help the celerity.
Bill O'Reilly
It's a fair statement that.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
But it is. But it's not help. But it is not. It is not a fair statement in terms of analyzing what happened. The Republicans, on the guidance of the administration refused to agree to mandate body cams and Chuck Schumer with his masks off, cameras on. Not the greatest slogan, but that's what he kept saying. And it was in his letter to them. That was the line. They gave him the money. The Republicans gave him the money after the administration said to cut it. After they had gotten rid of the executive order from Biden which said make it mandatory that they wear them. They don't want the transparency bill. And that's the difference. Butler was about misfeasance. That was misfeasance. You didn't do your job well in Butler. It is not an opinion. Everything I just told you is a fact. What I'm saying what happened in Butler.
Bill O'Reilly
No, it's not. The administration trying to go sitting here instead of.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Then here are the facts. The administration gutted the program in their request staff and money. The Republican Congress said, no, that's too much. Gave money. Okay? The Democrats said and put in that mandate rule that they have to use the money for this and they have to wear them. The Republicans said no, the White House won't go for it. Those are the facts. Okay, Tom can say something else.
Bill O'Reilly
And he is. Ifman is sitting here.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Yes.
Bill O'Reilly
If Homan is sitting here instead of me, he would say that negotiations broke down under a number of things. Not just that. And you are spouting opinion.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
And let me what is the opine?
Bill O'Reilly
So you have a. When you have more than a million criminal aliens coming into the United States in four years, more than a million, okay, you are going to have chaos, you're going to have violence. You are going to have things that happen that shouldn't happen. And that is a fact. Okay? You cannot have that volume of. And we're talking criminal.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
So you think that's a fact.
Bill O'Reilly
Not talking regular folks.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
You think that's a fact. And you think a million criminals not it's a crime because they entered. Because that's a misdemeanor. That's 80 and a 55. Okay? That's what that is. So that doesn't count to me as a bad hombre if I don't know how you arrive at a million fentanyl dealer, human traffickers and gang bangers are the number. I don't know where that number comes from. You might as well say 100 million.
Bill O'Reilly
The number comes from the federal government. You can look it up as they as Yogi Berra, but it's an estimate. Okay? If more than a million people are being hunted by executive order, the president of the United States not I believe to get them deported because they committed crimes. Now, you don't like that.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
No, no, no, no. That's not true.
Bill O'Reilly
That's an opinion party doesn't like.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That's an opinion, and that's not true. Just like the rest of the American people, the overwhelming majority.
Tom Homan
Wait a minute.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Want people who are legally.
Bill O'Reilly
Chris.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Crimes to be deported. Now, how you do that?
Bill O'Reilly
You're going to tell me that Chris Cuomo.
Tom Homan
Yes.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Go ahead. What do you want to hear?
Bill O'Reilly
You are going to tell me that Chris Cuomo. Okay. After a diatribe of seven minutes. Okay. Is going. I want all criminal aliens supported. You're gonna tell me that.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
The question is.
Bill O'Reilly
You can tell me that.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
The question is how?
Bill O'Reilly
Yes or no? You're not gonna tell me that.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
It all depends on how. Do you want me to.
Bill O'Reilly
You want to slice it down?
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Why don't you go out and shoot them all? Because you just described them like they were rats. If you have a million come in, there's gonna be chaos, there's gonna be violence.
Bill O'Reilly
Why don't I shoot them?
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
How is that a fact?
Bill O'Reilly
There you go.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Well, I mean, Bill, do you see that as a logical alternative?
Bill O'Reilly
You are not bullish on hunting down criminal.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That's not true.
Bill O'Reilly
That is a factor. Every blanket.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
I don't like the idea.
Bill O'Reilly
Watches this show.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
I don't like the idea of hunting down misdemeanors. Okay, you want to hunt down a killer.
Bill O'Reilly
No, no, not misdemeanors.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
But that's not who they're getting, Bill. Their own numbers, which are obviously cooked, show that it's barely 50. 50.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay. You can look at. The numbers aren't cooked in whatever world you want to live in.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
The number. They all give different numbers.
Bill O'Reilly
The numbers are the numbers that are put. If you can prove the numbers are cooked, that's a crime.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Cooked is when. If you have a number. And then my number, even though we work in the same administration, is different. And then the President gives a number that's different from your number and my number. I call that cooked numbers. Why? Because you're obviously calculating them different ways. There isn't one number. That's my point.
Bill O'Reilly
You should get Mullen on Amar in the back. She get Mullen on Amar. The official number from Homeland Security is more than 1 million criminals. Now, that means they could have committed crimes in Venezuela. Okay? It could mean a lot of things traded into this.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
It could mean a lot of things. You're saying that it must be true.
Bill O'Reilly
You do not want to hunt them down. Neither does a Democratic Party.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That's Just not true.
Bill O'Reilly
Don't want to do it, Bill.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Admit it, it's not true.
Bill O'Reilly
You don't want to do it.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Keep insisting, Bill. You can say it a more times, like your friend Mr. Trump doesn't make it true.
Bill O'Reilly
Repetition is not a veracity. I want to find 10 quotes.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Go ahead, find me a quote.
Bill O'Reilly
There's one more point I want to make about.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
No, no, no, no, no. I want some money on this one. What do you want to bet you cannot find me saying I'll say the same thing you said, which is Remember what you said, Bill O'Reilly? Cuz I can pull it for you in about 8 seconds. It'll never happen logistically, legally, financially, you'll never be able to get them all out. Remember saying that, Bill, because you did.
Tom Homan
It's all different.
Bill O'Reilly
We're talking about. So when I say impractical criminal error
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
and that talking about hunting them is not the best messaging. When you keep killing people, you don't like that. But when you said it'll never happen, that's a fact. Come on, Bill, come on.
Bill O'Reilly
You just admitted my whole thesis was true.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
What is?
Bill O'Reilly
You don't want them hunted.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That's not true.
Bill O'Reilly
I don't like the messaging.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
You shouldn't hunt, okay? Human beings, okay?
Bill O'Reilly
Just admit it. Law enforcement doesn't and this is important.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
And it's people like you who are okay with them hunting. That doesn't seem that upset about them
Bill O'Reilly
not okay with anything.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Are you okay with Renee? Good. And you don't know what happened yet months later, but you okay with the guy being back.
Bill O'Reilly
That's ridiculous.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Are you okay with the guy being back on the job?
Bill O'Reilly
That's ridiculous.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Are you okay with the guy being back on the job?
Bill O'Reilly
No, I'm not.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Then why is he.
Bill O'Reilly
No.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Why haven't you said anything about it?
Bill O'Reilly
I don't know. I don't run the agency.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
But why haven't you done anything about it? Bill, you're not spared for words.
Bill O'Reilly
Oh, stop. I have criticized ICE and Homeland Security many times and I can provide those clips. Not in eight seconds because you got Dusty and I don't have her. But I can provide them big advice. One more very important thing. You made a big journalistic mistake today.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
What did I do?
Bill O'Reilly
And was by basing your monologue on Human Rights Watch. Now the mistake is this. Human Rights Watch, just like the Southern Poverty Law center, is an agenda driven organization. Now I don't mind you quoting them, but you have an obligation to quote a counterpoint, not to put up Human Rights Watch as the benefactor of the truth. That's a journalistic mistake. Sorry to bring it to your attention.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
It's a journalistic mistake.
Bill O'Reilly
I'm older than you. I've been in the business longer.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
It's a journalistic mistake. If there is a salient counter to what they said, we don't have one. Because this administration won't be transparent about what it found when it reviewed the complaints. And Tom Homan said he would get it to me. It never happened. So, Bill, how can I as a journalist discount a world renowned organization that Republicans and Democrats have both used when suits their agenda? I should discount them when I know nothing on the counterbalance.
Bill O'Reilly
What's their agenda?
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Yeah.
Bill O'Reilly
Listen, all I'm telling you is this.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
But if the government won't tell me
Bill O'Reilly
anything because you don't base your reportage on an agency that has an agenda.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That's why their agenda is human rights and going after people who violate them.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay, I got it. The ACLU's agenda is freedom of speech. Right? Do you believe ACLU's agenda is freedom of speech?
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That the ACLU started white nationalism. Do you think they start. Do you believe that anything.
Bill O'Reilly
White nationalism?
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Yeah, that's what it says in the United States.
Chris Cuomo
I don't know.
Bill O'Reilly
I don't know.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
That they funded people to organize and grow and operate white nationalist organizations.
Bill O'Reilly
That remains. That remains to be proven. That's called due process.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Sure.
Bill O'Reilly
Right. So I didn't go in and say the Southern Poverty Law center did it.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
But you're saying they have.
Bill O'Reilly
But if I'm going to use Human Rights Watch.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Suspicious.
Bill O'Reilly
No. You can't base reportage on it. You have got to bring in a dissent.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Tell your friends in the Trump administration,
Bill O'Reilly
Mueller would be a great guest for
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
you to tell him to. Come on. Tell them to put out the information that disproves it. That they checked it. Tell them to put anything out. Tell them to tell us why the mom got shot.
Bill O'Reilly
And you ask him.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Okay.
Bill O'Reilly
Tell him you asked Mullen. He's gonna have to answer you.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
I'm not one. You know, I'm not you.
Bill O'Reilly
Did you invite him on?
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
Of course we've invited him many times.
Tom Homan
Okay.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
I mean, look, I've interviewed him before.
Bill O'Reilly
I'm going to call tomorrow and tell him and go on.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
She got this job.
Bill O'Reilly
Because those questions need to be.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
All right, I got to jump those questions.
Bill O'Reilly
I'm happy to have them on the show.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
I agree with you 100% those questions
Bill O'Reilly
need to be answered. But you do not answer them by using a pro immigrant group fair.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
I believe that you are disparaging Human Rights Watch. You're making it sound like they're just another advocacy group and they're not. And you are also go to their website. You are empowering. I know all about them. I know who wrote the report. I know what their basis is for it. I know the lawyers who are working with them. I know a lot of things. What I'm saying is that what I
Bill O'Reilly
don't know anti enforcement, what I don't
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
know is what the government knows because they won't tell us time and time again. And it is a theme with this administration more than any other you or I have covered. That's what I'm saying. So.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay, we'll get Mullen on your show.
Unidentified Guest (possibly a journalist or commentator)
He is welcome. Bill O'Reilly, thank you very much.
Bill O'Reilly
Please join me and Sid Rosenberg on WABC Radio.
Chris Cuomo
You know, I've been listening to the program and I have an answer for one of your questions you asked. Okay, can you be arrested for what you are thinking you would like to do?
Tom Homan
You know, there was a movie once about that with Tom Cruise called Majority Report and they actually started arresting people for their thoughts.
Chris Cuomo
And I would say if that law does pass, you will be doing life, Probably still broadcast from or wherever they have you. Yeah, you're gone. You're gone.
Tom Homan
Oh, listen, I admit it because I'm here to say it. I felt badly saying it, but I think terrible things, but I would like to do to Mom, Donnie, I would never get out of jail. Never. I'm being honest. I what I'd like to do with him, I never get out of jail. This guy is I've been around almost 60 years. I've never seen a worse person, really. And I've seen some real dregs, some real dreck here in New York and across the country. But this guy, for me, at least for me, Bill O'Reilly, he's a brand new level of disgust.
Chris Cuomo
Yeah. And people should understand the history of persecution of the Jewish people, not just Jewish Americans, but Jewish people all over the world. And when you're trying to duplicate that persecution, which the mayor is, do you think you'd ever get any sympathy if these terrorists went into Israel and, you know, killed more people? No. He might say, oh, I don't like it. But, you know, we know what's going on. We being people who pay attention. But it's a bigger issue. And I was also interested in Homan because there's the Democratic Party still searching around for a signature issue to beat The Republicans in the midterms now, they have affordability, but they don't have any solution. Neither do the Republicans. For high prices, the government can't dictate in our system what the bodega is going to charge you. So there's no solution. All in affordability. Affordability, Okay. I mean, you're looking at them, and how are you going to deal with that problem? And then you get silenced. So the Democrat progressive movement needs another issue. They need more emotion. And the Jewish thing isn't going to do it. Because in New York, it's huge. But in Wyoming it's not. Because it's a whole different culture and there's a whole different population.
Tom Homan
Right. You can't even find a Jew in Cheyenne. Good luck.
Chris Cuomo
So I was on Cuomo on Tuesday, a couple of days ago, and we had a shoot out there that you should watch about how you go conduct federal investigations into criminal illegal aliens. Now, what the progressives want to do is conflate the poor people who traits across the border. That's a misdemeanor. They want to conflate that with the Ms. 13 people. You see it in the rhetoric all the time. So I asked Cuomo, and I give Cuomo props. I know you make fun of them, but there's nobody coming up against me said, there's nobody going to do that.
Tom Homan
So I got to give the guy credit. Because you embarrass him every week.
Chris Cuomo
Stones. Because he knows when I walk in there. Yeah. To quote David Burns, this ain't no party. This ain't no disco. Okay.
Tom Homan
It's a great song.
Chris Cuomo
This is serious. So he went through his ISIS terrible. And I listened and I said, ask a very simple question. Because as you know, Sid, the only man more simple than me is you.
Tom Homan
That's correct.
Chris Cuomo
We are simple man. I said, do you want to hunt down. And I use those words on purpose. Do you want to hunt down these criminal. I mean, criminal aliens. Felonious, violent people? Do you want them hunted down? You got to watch, because that was the Lombarda. We started the Lombarda. We need the music. Music, dancing all over the place. Yeah. And I asked it three times, and that's what it comes down to. So you. You can do policy all day, but if you've got about a million miscreants who have crossed into this country in four years under Biden, Maybe more. Million. That's my estimate.
Tom Homan
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
Maybe more. Right? Yeah. How are you going to get them? How are you going to get them?
Tom Homan
Ice. That's how.
Chris Cuomo
Okay. But see it's not that easy. So these people live underground and they live with other migrants. Most of the time, the other migrants maybe are girlfriends, maybe their children. Maybe they're. Anyway. But when ICE goes in to get the drug dealer, okay, all the people with the drug dealer get swept up. They're all taken into custody. ICE doesn't stand there with a clipboard going, you stay. You come with us. You stay. You come with us. They don't have the power to do that. That's a judge. And the other thing that people, Americans don't understand is most of these migrants that the progressives say are not criminals do have a expulsion order signed by a judge. They have. It is there. And so the judge has already heard their asylum turned it down. They have to return home. ICE knows that. So they may not have used a bazooka to rob an Apple bank.
Tom Homan
Right?
Chris Cuomo
But a judge says you have to go home, and that's the responsibility of ice. Enter the progressive left, which doesn't want any of these people bothered. Leave them alone. Let them stay here. That breaks down the entire immigration law system.
Tom Homan
Yeah, but it's also. You're right, it does. And in very simple terms. But there's also a lot of hypocrisy and lies going on here, and Cuomo is a part of that. I don't remember if you have had ICE for a second, okay? And pretty and good, the four people that were killed compared to, I don't know, thousands and thousands of rapists and murderers. And all these people that have been sent home, the numbers will prove to be in my favor. I'm sorry, one life is bad enough, but when it's 4004, let's stop the nonsense. But where was Cuomo when Obama was sending home thousands and many more than President Trump? Where was Cuomo then? Where was Cuomo when Obama was the guy who had kids? Obama in cages. Where was Cuomo then?
Chris Cuomo
To be fair, there were turnarounds. So what Obama did was he ordered federal authorities not to let migrants into the country to have their cases heard. And that's why the numbers were very big of expulsions under Barack Obama. You couldn't get in. That's what he wanted. Which is telling, very telling. And that's how he governed. Okay? So there wasn't really anything to squawk about on the left at that point. Unless you were going to come out and say, yeah, I want the open border. Now, most progressives do want the open border. Yeah. I don't believe Cuomo does. I don't believe he does. Okay. And I'm. I know. I mean, I've debated him, and I don't. I don't think he's a hypocrite. He believes that it's inhumane for the federal government to deport people who are working in hotels that may have a kid or two at home.
Tom Homan
But Holman says. But Holman says we're not doing a whole bunch of that, no matter what
Chris Cuomo
Cuomo says they are doing some of it.
Tom Homan
Some. Okay.
Chris Cuomo
On Long island, where I am, there is a job shortage here because so many migrants have been swept up because Blakeman cooperates and the sheriffs of Nassau and County cooperate with ice. Okay? That's a big thing. And a lot of these people had the deportation order against them. Progressives don't. They just want to burn that order. They don't want the order enforced. And that is what they're going to run on, hoping that most Americans can convince. Be convinced that they're the humane people. This is the Pope Leo strategy, okay? This is what Pope Leo is putting out there. Not in a. In the political terms that Chris is putting out there, but it's. You must treat these poor people with dignity and you must be accepting. But then you, when you get into it, you can't absorb 15 million foreign nationals unsupervised into any system. And Pope Leo, with all due respect, because I'll be excommunicated after this program. He doesn't seem to get that.
Tom Homan
No, no, no, no. He really doesn't. Give me your. Your latest on the Iran war. It's like I've been saying for months, stuck a mess. I've used all these words, and I'm right. It's a mess. So what do you think today?
Chris Cuomo
All right, so you guys should pull the tape. When it started in early February, I came on the Sid and Friends broadcast, all right, And I said, this is the biggest gamble President Trump has ever taken in his entire life, and that includes everything.
Tom Homan
He said that a couple of times. Yes, yes.
Chris Cuomo
I said to him, yeah, and the reason is he did the right thing.
Tom Homan
100% true.
Chris Cuomo
But the unintended consequences of doing the right thing are often horrendous. Yeah, but you can lose your life doing the wrong thing.
Tom Homan
You're right. And he did the right thing, and I applauded him. Preparation, epic fury, and, of course, the midnight hammer. The question is, who's to blame? Since for this mess? Is it Hegseth? Is it other people giving him advice? Because for the better part of two plus Months. This has been a mess. Why. Why didn't we have the exit strategy ready to go? Why do we keep giving these people all these opportunities when we know Trump smarter than me, when he knows they're never going to comply or make a deal? Why? Who is. Whose plan is this?
Chris Cuomo
Well, he didn't know at the beginning.
Tom Homan
Oh, come on. How the hell did I know?
Chris Cuomo
I talked to him about it. He did not, Bill.
Tom Homan
How did I know from the very beginning? I said, they'll never make a deal. They'll never comply. How did I know? I'm a moron compared to him.
Chris Cuomo
And that. And that was an opinion based upon history and based upon the attitude of a terrorist state.
Tom Homan
Correct.
Chris Cuomo
What Trump thought was, we can degrade this country to the extent that it has to make a deal, it can't function as a country any longer. Which is what is underway now. But the first swoop came when Mossad, Israeli intelligence reported to the CIA that all the mullahs were going to be in some garage somewhere getting drunk on a Saturday night. And we can get them all, which we did. And so the President, fed up with the terrorist state of Iran, said, go get it.
Tom Homan
Right. It was great. Operation Epic Fury. That was the last good day of this war. The last one.
Chris Cuomo
But nothing then fell into place. So the Persians didn't rise up, and there was much more ordinance in the hands of the Iranians, that's drones and missiles, than American and Israeli intelligence believed. How many times did you hear the President say, oh, their capability is nil. Well, it isn't nil. They can do damage. That was a mistake. The fog of war, in any kind of conflict, you're always going to have misjudgments and mistakes. So now the President has decided that he's going to degrade the country. So it's going to be very hard for the Persian people to even function day to day. That means buying food. That means buying gasoline. We've got the ships blockading their ports. Nothing in, nothing out. What are they going to eat? Hopefully, according to the President and the Department of War. Okay, this will be enough. No. Now.
Sid Rosenberg
No.
Chris Cuomo
No. I don't know. I'm going to.
Tom Homan
I'm going to tell you no. Okay. Because 50,000 people got gunned down in the streets. We've been over this before. I know you've got history where other. Other people were able to rise up and take their countries. These people ain't doing it. Unless we're going to supply these people with arms. Okay? They're not doing it, they've been mowed down on the streets forever with arms
Chris Cuomo
because there's no distribution possibility of those arms.
Tom Homan
Correct.
Chris Cuomo
They'll kill you over there if you look cross eyed.
Tom Homan
Correct.
Chris Cuomo
Right.
Tom Homan
That's why the idea that these people are going to take over, they're going.
Chris Cuomo
Ain't going to happen. Well, when your 5 year old doesn't have anything to eat.
Tom Homan
Yeah. What are you gonna do about it?
Chris Cuomo
That may change the equation. What are you gonna do about what? The. The hope is, what are you gonna do about it? As Hegseth is concerned.
Sid Rosenberg
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
He does not make policy. This is what again, what Americans don't understand, they don't make policy. The president runs the operation from the top down. So he makes the calls now. He does consult. But in the end it isn't a Hegseth saying, we're gonna blow up this ship in Hormuz. He's. He doesn't do that.
Tom Homan
Right.
Chris Cuomo
The president has to sign off on all of it.
Tom Homan
Right. What a mess, Bill. I don't know, man. I don't. When was the time you spoke to President Trump?
Chris Cuomo
I haven't talked to him in a while. Let's see, maybe a couple of, maybe three weeks ago. And it was, it was a very quick, you know, logistical call or whatever. I, I'm kind of hanging back in the weeds here to see how this Iranian thing evolves because I hate, I don't know about you, but I think you hate the same thing. I hate these people going on television who know nothing and spitting this stuff out, particularly about homeland Security, about Iran, about. Look, I have a special I'm putting together now on how Great Britain, the UK has been destroyed by Muslim immigration. Destroyed 100%.
Tom Homan
Been there, seen it.
Chris Cuomo
And, and you'll see it on television in September.
Tom Homan
Yep.
Chris Cuomo
One more thing. It has been 19 and a half years since the O'Reilly Geraldo Rivera shootout.
Tom Homan
Is that right? Really?
Chris Cuomo
Okay. 19 and a half over. Criminal, illegal alien.
Tom Homan
I remember. Yes.
Chris Cuomo
So what I did was I got Geraldo to go on. We'll do it live.
Tom Homan
Love it.
Chris Cuomo
It drops today on billowrelli.com or YouTube. And you did it again to see if he's changed his mind.
Tom Homan
I want to see this. Can I make a prediction without seeing it?
Chris Cuomo
Go ahead.
Tom Homan
He changed his mind. Now don't tell me that's my going
Chris Cuomo
to tell you, but I'm going to tell you it is fascinating.
Tom Homan
I can't wait.
Chris Cuomo
We use the original clip.
Tom Homan
Oh, that's great.
Chris Cuomo
Where I look like I'm at my first communion. All right. Heraldo's always look like. He's always looked like Rip Van Winkle.
Tom Homan
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
Right. Yeah. But we'll show you the original clip where the FCC was going to deport us.
Tom Homan
I remember it was great.
Chris Cuomo
And, and now I bring them on and we go over not only migration, which he has evolved. I love that word, evolved. I've never evolved. No. I'm as bad as I was when I was five years old. Okay. So. But he's evolved. And then we get into the media because he and I are the dinosaurs. Yeah.
Tom Homan
Yeah.
Chris Cuomo
Where the last men standing. And he can barely stand.
Tom Homan
He's got the cane. He still looks good.
Chris Cuomo
That is really worth watching. Billow Reilly.com will do it live. It's like when I interviewed you 45 minutes, but boy, you'll be riveted.
Tom Homan
I can't wait to see it. I love Geraldo. I love you. And I remember that. I can't believe it's been 20 years almost. I remember like it was yesterday. So I can't wait to see it. Billorilly.com check out. We'll do it live with Geraldo Rivera today and go to billorileigh.com anyway, become a member. It is the best news source, I mean this, anywhere in the world.
