Here. Welcome to the no Spin News. Thursday, February 20, 2025 stand up for your country. Happy birthday, Senator Mitch McConnell, 83 years old, and he announced today that he's giving up this senator role in 2027 when his term is up. Good. He's an old time pal, if you follow me. You know, I don't have much regard for the senator. He's the only Republican voting against Donald Trump now, which doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I think all politicians should vote their conscience, and that means that you have to take into consideration what your constituency wants. They'll sell out, but it's a major factor. My genesis with McConnell was case law, which would have provided mandatory federal prison sentences for any criminal alien deported who comes back logical should be on the books. McConnell killed it in the Senate. Why? Because he didn't like me writing it up, that's why. I'm a punk in his eyes. All right. I don't want to go back on the grievance trail here. I do think Mitch McConnell is a patriot. He served in the Senate since 1986. But I don't like the way he goes about things. I think that's fair. Now, there's a bit controversial, this Ukraine thing. So some conservatives like Mark Levin are angry with President Trump because he seems to be siding with Putin. But it's not that clear cut, as I reported yesterday. I mean, there's a method to President Trump's madness in all things. When I use the word madness. That's a cliche method for his madness. But this could go either way. And there's no doubt right now that Trump is leaning into the Putin area. I think it's because he wants Putin to stop, but we'll have to see what the deal is before we could really make a judgment. But the technique of trying to flatter someone to be reasonable, that's not crazy. That's been going on since Genghis Khan. Okay. So just keep that in mind. Talking points memo today is about Donald Trump's first month in office. So one down, 47 more months to go. Liberal America be happy to hear that. Right. I have to tell you that Donald Trump has done more in his first month, second term, of course, than any other president in history. I went back last night confronting the president, as you know, 23 consecutive weeks on the New York Times list, and now it'll extend into March. We got the numbers yesterday. This is phenomenal. If you haven't read Confronting the President, you might want to consider it. But anyway, Trump has done more in 31 days than anybody else who is was elected president. Who do you think was second? George Washington, first president, because he had to reorganize the government. I mean, they had a structure in Philadelphia, but they weren't a federal government. That only happened after we booted the king out of here. And then Washington moved to New York City, where he governed the country. And he was pretty busy putting everything together. In fact, today is an anniversary, I don't know how many years, but of the first post office, Federal post office, and Washington instituted it, but Trump did more in 31 days than George Washington did. Now, Washington had an excuse. He had to get furniture. Martha was giving him a hard time. She didn't want to move to New York. He had to get curtains. You know, I mean, it was really nothing going on structurally. But it is quite amazing what Donald Trump has done. So let's run it down. And I'm doing this because if Kamala Harris had been elected, none of these things that I'm going to mention, there are 10 of them, would have happened, none of them. So just keep that in mind. First one is the Gaza hostage release. 24 hostages have been released. Okay. It's estimated there are 35 remaining in Hamas hands. Now, the Biden people had a little bit to do with that, but not a lot. It was the Trump people who made it happen. I know that because I was involved to some extent. I have not reported that involvement. I will write about It. But the time isn't right now to do so. But I was directly involved with this, okay? And I know what happened. Okay? So 24 hostages are out, and that is a very significant achievement because Biden couldn't get any out. He couldn't get any. They just ignored him. The terrorists, number two, the Department of Government Efficiency. Doge. It's creating chaos. Elon Musk brought in, all right, and his job is to assess wasteful spending and fraud and to cut down a federal workforce which is far too big because we have a $36 trillion debt. So that never would happen over Kamala Harris, ever. The Democrats don't want to cut spending. They're the party of spending. Okay? Now, I don't know whether in the end Musk will be successful. He's uncovered some stuff, and that's good. But now it kicks back the Congress and they're trying to claw back money. I don't know if they're going to be successful there. Most of that money's already been spent. But it's a worthy effort, is it not? If you're a loyal American, I don't care what party you're in, you don't want wasteful spending that insults the taxpayers. Number three, the Ukraine negotiations. Again, Biden couldn't do it. He couldn't get anywhere. And in the space of 31 days, Trump's got Putin at the table. Last week in Saudi Arabia, it wasn't Putin, but it was Putin's Guy Lavrov. Okay, that's three. Kamala Harris, in a million years, would not have been able to do that. Number four, DEI banishment. Democrats didn't want to banish it. It's out, okay? Gone from the federal area. And it's a skin color play and a gender play that's against the Constitution. Number five, gas and oil regulations. Trump has signed five executive orders. Now, we haven't seen any benefit from that yet, but it's a little bit too early. I figure about May, because summer gas prices usually surge because everybody's zipping around on vacation. If it's a surge this year, then those EOs would have failed, but we got to give it to them to see if that's going to lower prices. And again, Biden could have done five executive orders to make it easier for fossil fuels to be harvested and transported. He didn't do it. Six, border security. In the first half of this month, the one month for Trump migrant encounters, which means border patrol getting face to face physically with somebody trying to get across the border dropped 93% because Trump took put troops on the border. He stopped all the asylum madness. And Biden opened the border completely. Didn't want any restraints at all. None. Okay, that's six. Number seven, deportation of criminal migrants. Now this has halted. Okay, very interesting. Got off to a robust start. 5,700 illegal immigrants have been deported. That's according to the Department of Homeland Security. But in the last 10 days, almost ground to a halt. And I don't know why we're watching it. We'll have a report next week on it. But the deportation is more difficult, I believe, than the Trump administration thought it would be. A number eight Mexican troops at the border. This is another thing. Kamala Harris, in a million years, she wouldn't have deported anybody either. But in a million years would have not cajoled the president of Mexico put those troops on the border and she did it with Trump like that. And that'll help. That's gonna help. President Trump's victory is a win for America. That's what most voters think. But Bidenomics has left us with a failing economy. Trump has signed 68 executive orders. Biden signed 32 in his first month. And Trump wants to blow up what he calls the corrupt federal system. That's what this is all about. And the last one is Trump administration suing sanctuary cities. First two are Chicago and New York, Illinois and New York state, okay? And the Justice Department is filing suits saying, hey, you're disobeying federal law. We're going to take you to court, and there could be fines, there could be all kinds of stuff. And again, that would never have happened had Kamala Harris been president. So whether you despise Trump or you love him or whatever, you got to give him some credit for instituting his vision, okay? Of which he got elected. All the folks, this is what I want to do. They voted for him, and now he's doing it. But the press. And that's the memo, okay, let's just get that out of the way, all right? But the press opposes everything he does, everything. Because he's evil. That's the new strategy we told you about earlier this week. Trump is evil, right? So is Musk evil, guys. So what the corporate media does is they cherry pick. So under the Trump administration, thousands, probably tens of thousands of federal employees are going to be laid off because the government's too big in court. When Trump's estimation. So tens of thousands of people going to lose their job. So the media will pluck one of them, like in the Veterans Administration. Or then they'll say there's not enough air traffic controllers because Trump's firing them, which is false, a lie. And then they'll say, oh, you can't fire anybody in this area or that area. And then they'll have a sob story, I lost my job. And look, just because you're a federal employee doesn't guarantee your job. It doesn't. And if there are too many federal employees, then there has to be a cutback on it. It's like a regular company. But the media, they cherry pick it to make Trump look evil. And a lot of people buy it. I get mail all the time. Oh, look at these poor people. And we're not. The veterans aren't going to get what they deserve. And the air traffic controls, I'm afraid to fly. And, you know, all of that hysteria, it's easy for the media to do that. Simple. And so they want to undermine everything. And I mean 100%. I haven't heard one thing that Trump has done. Be praised by the New York Times or CNN or msnbc. Not one. And maybe I missed it. And if you heard it, Please, Bill, @billoriley.com because we want to be fair. Tell me they praise them or anything, let me know. All right, Polling Washington Post. You got to consider the source Here. All right, fair sample. First question. Since taking off it, do you think President Trump has acted within his authority as president or gone beyond it? Gone beyond it. 57. Acted within 40. Okay. I mean, with the media telling everybody that he's a dictator and a Nazi and all this, I get it. I don't believe it. It's stupid. But I see why some people would vote that way. Second question. If Trump goes beyond his authority as president, do you think the Supreme Court will rein him in? All right. 56% say court would try to stop it. 40% say no, they'll go along with everything Trump wants. Okay, third question. Do you approve or disapprove of the way Trump is handling each of the following? Immigration. Approve. 50. Disapprove. 48. I do not believe that number. I don't believe it. The Washington Post, a left wing paper, so I don't believe that number at all. The economy. Approved. 45. Disapprove. 53. Why would you disapprove of Trump's economic vision? Why? For what reason? He inherited the Biden chaos. Third, managing the federal government. Approved 44. Disapproved 54. So that means 54% of Americans don't want any downsize or any exposure of waste and fraud. I don't believe that. I don't believe this at all. Do you approve or disapprove the job Elon Musk is doing? Approve. 34. Disapprove 49. He's been demonized. Musk. Okay, so CNN poll sampling fair. And I'm glad we were responsible for making a fair sampling, by the way, because we pointed out about a year and a half ago how the polling companies were tilting everything. Well, now they've straightened it out. Do you approve or disprove the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president? Approve. 47. Disprove 52. That's CNN. Well, it goes against most of the other polls. I would just say that it goes against most of the other polls. Regardless of whether you approve or disapprove, what do you think is the single most significant action Trump has taken? Immigration 28%. Elon Musk. 12. Dismantling Fed agencies. 10. Reducing government faced fraud and waste. 9. Okay, that looks significant to me, so I'll buy that final poll. Pew. Pew is better than the Washington Post and CNN. What is your overall opinion of Elon Musk? Favorable. 42. Unfavorable. 54. Much closer. And the other poll? Right. What is your overall opinion of Mark Zuckerberg? Favorable. 25. Unfavorable. 67. Whoa. Folks don't like Zuckerberg. Okay. And that is that the poll round up. Okay. As we mentioned, some conservatives very angry at Donald Trump for denigrating Zelensky and saying that Ukraine didn't do enough to prevent the war. He did say Trump did say Ukraine started the war, but only after, as we showed you yesterday, if you're a premium member or a concierge member@billorilly.com, you can get the transcripts every day. You could see if you miss a show or whatever. Good to have them on important issues. So Trump's main belief is that Ukraine didn't do enough to stop what was unfolding. Okay. And therefore he takes that belief, Trump, and says, well, Ukraine started a war. No, that's not. You know, you can't be that imprecise because it was rammed down the President's throat that Ukraine started the war, which he did. Ukraine didn't start the war. It was evil. Vlad. Anyway, I gave a major talking points memo on our YouTube channel. I am going to also discuss it, but I went on News Nation last night, and Chris Cuomo was confused about Trump. Ukraine, go.
Intuit TurboTax
I don't know what he's trying to do here.
Bill O'Reilly
All right? I do.
Intuit TurboTax
He has called Zelensky a dictator.
Bill O'Reilly
Right.
Intuit TurboTax
And kind of suggested he started the war and that Russia fought hard for the land that they took from Ukraine, so they should get to keep it.
Bill O'Reilly
It's not quite that way. So what Trump wants to do, and I said this even before he was elected, is he wants to cease fire. Above all, he knows that he has to flatter Putin to get that ceasefire. That's where you start. He has to flatter Putin. Putin is evil. On the COVID of my upcoming book, Confronting Evil, there's bad blad right next to the Ayatollah Tola Khomeini and Mao Zedong. And Hitler is on the other side. Vlad is evil. But Trump wants a deal with the evil merchant. So he has to do two things. Butter him up, which he's doing, and tell the world that Zelensky is not so hot and that Ukraine could have stopped this before it started. You remember Trump going, if I were president, the war never would have started. Right. How many times did he say that? 100,000 times. It's true.
Stephen A. Smith
Hundred times.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay. But Trump would have forced Zelensky to give some concessions.
Christopher Cuomo

I'll repeat, and I did report this yesterday, that Putin has already given a concession himself that has not been reported widely in this country. So Putin's going to allow Ukraine to join the European Union, which is enormous, much more important than to Ukraine, than NATO. NATO is never going to happen because Putin doesn't want missiles in Ukraine pointed at Moscow. He's got missiles in Poland pointed at Moscow. He doesn't want more. Anyway, the EU is the key to Ukraine's success in the future. The currency, the immigration, the free trade back and forth. And Putin is not going to object to to that. That's enormous. Not reported. So I believe that Trump will get a deal with bad Vlad if the deal's lousy. I'll tell you, I'll tell you. I suspect that Ukraine will lose a little territory. I suspect that will happen. But what's the alternative? Ukraine is not going to defeat Russia, not going to beat them. And Trump is appalled that the United States taxpayer has already forked over $350 million to defend Ukraine while the rest of Europe, everybody else is forked over 200 million. So we're 150 million. Just one country above all that Trump's going to just got to stop. That's his point of view. Now I subscribe to about 75% of that. I don't think I'd be that friendly to Vlad myself. Where do you see when you read Confronting Evil what we found out about Putin? Oh, boy. But he's the guy, he's got to stop fighting. And if you have to kiss his butt, Trump is willing to do that. I don't think I could, but we'll see. I hate the will see business, but I've laid it out for you now. I think Trump will get ceasefire. He'll be criticized. I know that's coming, but it would be better for the world. Cash Patel, new FBI chief. I'm glad Patel came on this program. He answered my questions and I give him a hard time. He didn't back away. So the FBI, the problem with the agency is that it has a liberal culture. And that began under Comey, James Comey. That was one of Trump's biggest mistakes in his first term. He appointed Comey, he could have booted Comey, but he didn't. Comey gave him a line of BS and Trump kept him in there. And Comey and McCabe and all of these, they're devoted liberal people. So they hire other liberals in the agency. They don't hire conservatives because they're, they like the left wing, they like the culture. That's what happened to the FBI, Patel. It's way the opposite. So I expect Patel to clean house. I hope he does. We don't want any ideology in the FBI. And if Patel starts to impose a right wing ideology, then I will tell you. Okay, smart life, important story. We don't take gambling ads here, all right? And the gambling industry spends a ton of money in the media, as you know, got all the big movie stars running around, everybody's gambling, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay, I turned down a cigar ad this week. I'm not taking tobacco, I'm not taking anything that could hurt you. I'm not going to take it. And that's just me. Since all this legalized gambling stuff, I think it's 38 states now have legalized sports betting and on the Internet you can play poker and it's legal for money. Since that, the University of California, San Diego and Bryn Mawr College in Philly did research, printed it in the Journal, American Medical association. That says there has been a boom in people, a surge. That's the word they use, trying to get information for gambling addiction. You can get addicted to gambling very quickly and it'll wipe you right out. So I know a guy who made a lot of money, blue collar guy, but he was in a really good spot. And he was, you know, he had an opportunity to not only Live well, but to put away, sock away a lot of money. Older guy, he just fell into this job. He gambles every day, plays cards on the Internet, okay? And this is a $250 billion industry. You play poker on the Internet. 250 billion. And they take every master, Visa card, NET Teller, Skrill, PayPal, whatever it is, they'll take it. You got to put up money to play, okay? This guy lost all his money. He's destitute. I told him, I said, you can't keep doing this. Oh, no, no, no. It's just a hobby. It's just gone. Vanished. Smart life. Don't you want to bet? 20 bucks. Okay. But if you start to get that craving to bet, cut it off. Same thing with drugs, alcohol, whatever, Okay? I wish I was in the Caribbean right now with a snorkel and a mask and then warm water. I wish I were there, but I'm not. I'm here working. So the traveler's choice outfit is listed the best beaches in the world. I'm going to give you the top six. I'm a big. I'm a big beach guy, okay? But I don't go in the sun. Got the giant umbrella, you know, hats and all that. Okay? Best beach in the world according to travelers. Choice is elephant. Easy beach in Crete. I have always wanted to go there. I am going to get there. Banana beach, second. Phuket, Thailand. Phuket's a zoo. Okay. I don't think I'd stay in Phuket, but the beaches are beautiful. Eagle beach in Aruba. I won't go to Aruba because of the Natalie Holloway situation, where they didn't really even try to find her killer down there. I won't go there. Siesta Beach, Florida, on the west coast is number four. It's a beautiful beach. Huge, huge beach. Gorgeous. All right, then we go to Portugal. Praia da Feliza in the Algarve. I have been there. I have been there. It's windy, though. Beautiful beach, but windy. And finally, Playa Varadara in Cuba. Stunning. You can't go now, but I went and I stayed there. What a stunning beach. It's outside, okay? Of the major cities, not too far from Havana. You can get into Havana. Easy, boy. It's a nice beach, but you can't get a towel. I stayed at a hotel in Cuba. It was a riot and it was fairly expensive. The Germans owned it. German owned hotel, but you can't. You have to hire Cubans to run it. So when I got my room there Were no towels. So I went down at the front desk, I said, you got any towels? I mean, I'm taking a shower, you know. No, that was it. We don't have any towels. Just so you know, you go to some of these places. So anyway, I bribed somebody and I got a couple of towels. Interestingly enough, you really couldn't bribe a lot of people. Because of you, if a Cuban citizen takes dollars and try to change it into Cuban money, it's reported to the government and the government comes to the person's house and asks them where they got the dollars. So you know, I'm flashing a 20 for somebody to do something for me and I go, no, no, no, no, no, no. I can't take it. Pretty interesting, huh? Anyway, beautiful beach down there in Cuba and CRE get ready, I'm coming. Stay in history. February 20, 1907. The Immigration act was signed by President Theodore Roosevelt. Now this is amazing. So at the time there was an influx big from Europe to the USA 1907 and Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Germans, Russia and Poland. Big wave of immigrants coming in the. So the federal government said, you know, a lot of bad people coming and we got to keep them out. So they signed an immigration law and I'm going to quote it. Okay, it mandated. Please subscribe to our newsletter on billoriley.com keep track of all things O'Reilly. That's me. Like the message of the day, my column the no spin news and much more. When you sign up for our newsletter@billorilly.com it's free. You'll get emails letting you know what is going on and you won't miss a thing. The exclusion of imbeciles. Feeble minded individuals afflicted by a physical or mental disability that might impede their ability to earn a living. Those with tuberculosis who could were denied entry. Children not accompanied by parents. Okay. Those individuals who admitted to having committed a crime of moral turpitude, they were denied as well. So the whole list of things basically Teddy Roosevelt said, if we don't like you, you're not coming. We'll find a way to keep you out of here. Now that law lasted 10 years and then they had a worse law in 1917 because that was World War I. So they signed, Woodrow Wilson signed it and it banned people from India, Afghanistan, Persia, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia and most Polynesian islands as well as the Chinese couldn't come here. So that's how restrictive it was. Okay, we told you yesterday that we're trying our best to bring some civility to the public arena. And we have the three Americans live show underway. Let's see that poster. Stephen A. Smith, Christopher Cuomo, William J. O'Reilly will all be on stage. Westbury, Long island. The theater at Westbury. Okay. On March 30th, Sunday, 3pm Easiest way to get tickets is to go to billoriley.com we have a big thing there. Just punch it. Boom. But they're going fast, especially the good seats. Okay. Because we just announced on News Nation. I'll play it at clip in a moment last night. So why am I doing this? It's my production company. Because I want to show America that you can disagree and you can come from different backgrounds and have fun and get your points across without hating. And this has never been done before. The audience is going to be, you know, Stephen A. Smith is his audience. Cuomo is his. I have mine. We're all going to be in there and I guarantee you, you'll have a good time, a lot of laughs. So the three of us were on Cuomo's News Nation show last night. I'll just give you a little sample of what we do. Go.
Stephen A. Smith
Trump is doing a lot of talking, but in the end, I think he's trying to debate the Democrats into acting a bit juvenile, being a bit acerbic and truculent with their language. A result coming across is very irritating.
Intuit TurboTax
Truculent, way too big a word. Don't be bringing your SES Fidelia into my house. You understand? I don't want to have to have a thesaurus next to me so I can understand what you're saying and I don't. I got a teacher.
Stephen A. Smith
I need one from y'all.
Bill O'Reilly
Yeah, I, I don't know what trucks have to do with this.
Intuit TurboTax
I know if you're, you know, you're.
Bill O'Reilly
Anti driver, you get more money.
Intuit TurboTax
We get it. Stephen A's got a problem with trucks.
Bill O'Reilly
He's a sports car. I don't know what the trucks are.
Intuit TurboTax
He's a sports car guy.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay. So the three of us have a very good rapport. I wouldn't do this. You know, I went out with Dennis Miller, fabulously successful tour. And then I went out with President Trump, unbelievably successful tour. This one's going to be that as well. So let me just recap it again. Go to billorilly.com you'll see our icon there. Just punch it on. Get the best seats, get them quick. It's worth flying into Long island for. Okay. LaGuardia very close to Westbury. It's not a big, big trip. And then if it's successful, if it works the way I think it will, then we're coming to your town. All right? We're going to go all over. And you can't stop us. Nobody could stop us. So whether you like it or not, here we go back with a report I did 50 years ago. So as a final thought, as some of you know, this is my 50th anniversary in journalism. 50 years getting paid for reporting and analyzing. All right, so back in October 1975, working at WFAA TV, Channel 8 in Dallas. And I was kind of flamboyant. Roll the tape.
Cash Patel
This is the penalty box at the Fair Park Coliseum. The coach of the Dallas Blackhawks put me in here because I was making fun of him and his team. I simply said that ice hockey is not a difficult sport to play. I mean, how hard can it be to get this little puck into that big net? I do agree that hockey is a rough sport. As a foolhardy youth, I lost one of my front teeth when a puck decided to give me mouth to mouth resuscitation. But difficult to play. No way. You really think this game is hard to play?
Bill O'Reilly
It's not that hard. Got any talent about you at all?
Cash Patel
Well, what if somebody just came on the ice who hasn't played in a year like me? You think I could beat you?
Bill O'Reilly
I doubt that very much.
Cash Patel
You mean you think you could stop the Irish Flash from getting the puck in the net?
Bill O'Reilly
Definitely. I think so. Okay.
Cash Patel
You heard that, friends. You heard that? He thinks he can stop the Irish Flash. Alright, let's get to it, Turkey. I'm gonna give it. Here's the Irish Flash lining up. He skates in shrewdly, unleashes a blazing shot. But wait, a miraculous save. Unbelievable. Okay, I've got him nervous now, he's tense. Here's the shot. But what's that? The Irish Flash is tripped. No one can believe it. That's two minutes for the sneaky goalie. And unfortunately a very sore weekend for the flash. Bill O'Reilly, Channel 8 News.
Bill O'Reilly
That's better than I thought it was. Victor Garcia, one of our best producers, he found that clip. I played hockey in in high school. Still love the sport. Big Islanders fan. I'm going to be watching it. But I, you know, I didn't even remember that that report. It wasn't too bad. I had some good lines in there when the puck gave me mouth to mouth resuscitation.
