Here. Welcome to the no Spin News. Thursday, October 2, 2025 Stand up for your country. The government is shut down, okay? We tape this program in a late afternoon. So you may be watching me and the government might be open again because it's going to happen. They're negotiating or whatever. This is all a big show and I'll explain it top to bottom. And I am telling you, you will never get analysis like this anywhere because I'm going to tell you the truth, okay? And take all the politics, ideology out of it. I'm just going to tell you the truth. And it's a pretty interesting story. And that's a subject of this evening's Talking Points Memo. So the blame game is what they do on television. Trump did it. Oh, no. The Democrats did it. So boring, so tedious, so ridiculous. But it happens every single time. And a poll out today from the Washington Post says 47% of Americans say Trump and Republicans are responsible for the government shutdown. Okay. 30% say the Democrats are responsible. Now, the Washington Post. But maybe it's true because that's what the media put out, puts out there. And even though nobody watches the media, it all gets on the Internet and people pick it up. They don't know. And I'm not being supercilious. Word of the day. Okay? I'm not. They just don't know. People are busy. People have to work. They're kids. They're running around. They can't be sitting there on their Butts analyzing the government shutdown. I understand that. That's why you watch me and listen to me on a radio. Because I cut through all the BS and I'll tell you in less than an hour what the truth is about your world. Okay, so according to Washington Post, most people. Braintop. Does it matter? No. Four weeks from today, nobody will even remember this. Do you remember the last you ever been shut down? I remember it. I had to cover it. But not. It's kind of fuzzy. Okay, so the most honest appraisal of what happened to lead to the government shutting down this week was made by me. Aren't I humble? On News Nation. Cuomo last night. Roll tape. Okay, so here's what happened. You'll remember that the last time around, Senator Schumer gave in to President Trump. At least that's how it was portrayed. And Schumer got hammered from all sides and had it. Couldn't leave the House for three weeks. So that was not gonna happen again. Cuomo not with AOC right there. Not going to happen. So the guy who really knew what was going to happen in advance and you should get him on tomorrow, is Fetterman, the senator from. Yeah, I'm trying to get him. Knew. I'm trying to get him. Okay. So he signaled to all of us who pay attention, and that probably be about six or seven individuals in the media, that this was not going to go well. And here's why it didn't. So under President Biden, about 15 million foreign nationals crossed into America, many of them, perhaps most, on asylum claims, but they didn't go through the ports of entry, and they didn't do what they were supposed to do to claim asylum. In the Democratic vision for funding health care, all of those people would get subsidies and some of them free health care from the American public. Schumer knew that Trump and the Republicans were never going to sign off on that ever in a million years. Yet he brought it in anyway. So you tell me, who's playing the cards in an upright position? And that's exactly what happened. Biden is a villain here because he changed the whole thing. As far as asylum is concerned, if you in the past, before Biden were a foreigner in danger that you were going to be killed or imprisoned because of your belief system, you could apply to asylum. You had. There were rules you had to do and come here. Once you got here under that asylum banner, then you were entitled to whatever the government programs are. You're entitled to go to school, you're entitled to Obamacare. Whatever. When Biden allowed 15 million in unsupervised, and I don't know the exact number that applied for asylum. They haven't put it out yet, but it's probably the majority because that was the con. All right? The cartels smuggle the people up and they said, look, when the Border Patrol confronts you and you can surrender to them, just say you want asylum and Biden will let you come right in. And that's what happened. Now, the bigger picture is the Democratic Party wants socialized medicine. They want Washington to run the whole entire health care system, like Canada, like Western Europe. So that's why they support free health care or subsidized health care for pretty much everybody. This is another step in that direction. So those of us who are honest and know what happened leading up to this know that there's no way the two sides could have ever agreed on the health care for migrants. Okay? It was never going to happen. And so therefore his fault, it's the fault of the Democratic Party because that party knew by insisting that all migrants be covered who claim asylum, okay, that Pueblos will never do it, though they knew this was all contrived. Now, what should happen going forward is it should be a negotiation about the 15 million that Biden left in and what they are entitled to or not. And that negotiation should be done in good faith. And new legislation has to be passed. Joe Biden wrecked the entire immigration system in this country. Destroyed it. It's got to be rebuilt. Even though Donald Trump succeeded in closing the border and ICE is now rooting out a lot of the people who shouldn't be here, the whole system is wrecked. You have to start again and that those talks should be ongoing. That's something for Congress to do. Okay? So I hope everybody understands what this is all about because you will never hear that analysis anywhere else on television in this country. Maybe. And if you do, let me know. Bill@Billoriley.com Bill@Billoriley.com Because I'd like to bring the person who does it on the program. Let's face it, the US Economy is under stress. All right, so the nuts and bolts of all this is that there's supposed to be a, what they call a budget deadline once each fiscal year, but that has broken down. So now it's four or five of them every few months. We got to go over the budget, the spending. What are we doing? What are we doing? What are we doing? That's got to be fixed, too. It's absolute chaos. Even this bill, when they come to an agreement, they will, they'll extend. It's temporary. You got to deal with it again another three months. It should be once a year to reconcile spending that Congress has approved. Because things change. That's what I have it once a year. That's all. Not eight times a year. Okay, finally, the Senate is different than the House. House passed. The extension goes to the senate. You need 60 votes, and that's because of the filibuster rule. This goes way back to 1917. It didn't used to have a filibuster rule. That, and it was on and on. And that's what led to the Civil War, is that they could never come to a vote about slavery because the south would just refuse. All right, so nothing could improve. And then in 1917, it said, okay, you need 60 votes in the Senate to pass most legislation. Not all. But you'd have to read the Senate rules are crazy arcane. So it's a different situation. And Trump can't get 60 votes, so he's got 55. Rand Paul. I got a letter about Rand Paul. He doesn't want any spending. That's why he votes again. He's not voting for the Democrats. They're both rotten. I'm not voting for any spending. So he's a Republican senator. So anyway, you're not going to get 60 votes. But what you will get is the government has to reopen. It will, and then we'll go on to the next round. And it's got to stop. You have to reorganize this. And that's the memo. Okay, Grocery prices the key issue for the Republicans. But they have 13 months. Actually, they probably have just a year. So By September of 26, the grocery price still hurting people. Democrats have a good chance to take one or both houses in the midterms. All right? So everybody has to understand that. President Trump understands that. So a new poll, Harris. More than 2,000 U.S. adults. Grocery cost compared to last year, harder to afford. 47% of Americans say it's harder to buy groceries now than it was a year ago under Biden. 53% say it is. That's not a bad number for Trump. That's not a bad number. Okay, he can whittle that away. If he gets 55Americans, 55% of Americans say it's not really a problem, then the Republicans will probably win the midterms. Other stats on this poll, 47% say Trump has had a positive impact on the economy. 33% say the tariffs have been good. That's because nobody knows how they'll turn out. 63% worry about tariff impacts. Okay, 65% financially squeeze each month. That's a bad number for the administration. 65% of American households are worried about their finances. Now, you're always going to be worried about your finances, but it just to a degree, how bad is the squeeze? And the new Goldman Sachs report shed some light on that. So it says that Americans are living paycheck to paycheck to the tune of 42% of younger workers have absolutely no savings at all. None. And 25% of senior citizens have no savings. Well, anything goes wrong, they're done. That's a big number. That is a big number. And I guess about half the country can't afford to save anything now. And the reason is it's not so much the food and the gas. All right, that's not surging. It's insurance man owes insurance premiums. If you own a car or a home, my God, they are gutting us. Government's got to look at that. Now, sure, it's is the purview of the states, not the feds, but if you look at them, how many millions of dollars these insurance companies spend on advertising during NFL games and stuff like that, I mean, come on, this is insane. Now that insurance, along with the Structure, you know, your structures that you need, they're just going higher and higher and higher and higher. And that's what's taking all the money. Okay? Tariffs this year, 215 billion. The federal government says a lot of money. So that money, $215 billion in tariffs, Trump tariffs, goes to the Treasury. The U.S. treasury goes in there. Then Congress, not Trump, decides what to do with the money. This is extra money. I mean, it's an amazing growth. If you look at the Biden thing compared to Trump Day, it's not even the same because Biden didn't have terrorists. I mean, this is crazy. Now, the only two places that you can put that money responsibly, one is to pay down the national debt. You got to pay it down. That means that you put the money into what's causing the debt. Those are the deficits. And you get it down. Congress got to do that. Or you send checks to people making under a certain amount of money who are living paycheck to paycheck. I don't like that handout stuff. We saw that in Covid. I guess it had to be done then. But I don't like that handout stuff. I much rather get that deficit in debt down because that would spur investment in the stock market. I am a man who believes in self reliance, okay? I don't want the government making us all dependent on it. That's what the progressives want. Chicago, so this is the flaw in the Homeland Security ICE situation. Right now. There is a big roundup going underway. As you may know, Operation Midway blitz in Chicago. 800 undocumented migrants have been arrested. 800 some really bad guys. But we don't know the percentage of criminal aliens that have been arrested. And people with no criminal record. The government does not put that out. That is the flaw because that gives the opposition to people who want open borders. They want everybody to be here. Including criminals. Including criminals. This is a nutty loony left. If you don't have the stat and most of the people rounded up aren't criminals. They're not. That's why the Trump administration doesn't put that number out. But they have deportation orders against them. Okay? This is what people don't understand. If there's a deportation order against you, you don't have to be a criminal. The judges sign a paper and says, you got to go. You're not. You're here illegally. Got to go. There's no amnesty here. So that's what I says. If I says. And they have names of deportation Orders in Chicago and they get you, you're out. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not explained properly by Homeland Security. I'm saying in this day and age with the dishonest press which will never report the truth, you've got to lay it out for the folks to make it harder for them to lie to you. Okay. Uk, England. So I lived in England, some of you know, for about a year when I was there. It was Traditional England, 1969-70. And it was tea, it was, you know, everybody had their little hat on, the bobbies, the big cabs, the whole thing. When I was in London this time last year for the New York Jets, Minnesota game, that's gone. Gone. All the English traditions are gone. I mean, the Tower of London's still there and the Tower Bridge and that kind of thing. And double decker buses are still there, but it's migrants all over the place. And in Mile End, where my college was, University of London, Queen mary, that's all 100% non English. And now there's trouble.

September 13th, earlier, about a month ago, right. Four weeks ago, the BBC says 150,000 people showed up to demonstrate against crazy immigration. And a lot of them were violent because Britain has a far right that's pretty violent. They were called skinheads when I was there. Okay. And there was a counter march people who wanted all the migrants let in. There was only 5,000 people, according to the BC. So there's trouble over in England. Now. What is the trouble? People from the Middle East, North Africa are getting through to France coming up, and then they're getting on boats and crossing English Channel and then they land in England illegally. But remember, the EU doesn't. You don't have to stop at borders anymore. You don't do anything. You just go where you want. And why are they going to England? Because they have relatives there. Now it's the same thing in the United States. Why so many migrants go to California? Because they have, they have relatives there. But in England, it's reaching critical mass and you get 150,000 people out there.

It's trouble. I love this story. Jane Fonda is back. I have to be honest. Jane Fonda signed a book for me, a nice book, her book. And Waters got it for me. Jesse Waters. So she was at a book signing in New York and I sent Waters out to terrorize her. Not terrorize her, but funny, because I don't have anything against Jane Fonda, even though she was appalling during the Vietnam War. Awful. And she signed a book for me, a little hard on it and, you know, it's all right. So I have nothing, no personal animus against her. So she's 87 years old and she's leading a movement, the committee for the First Amendment. She's in charge. She's in charge. This is 550 showbiz people, the usual suspects, the far left, Spike Lee, Judd Apatow, John Legend, Barbara Streisand, Anne Hathaway, you know, Ben Stiller, all the far left people. And they're worried their freedom of speech is being encroached upon. This is so ridiculous. So Jane Fonda sat on an anti aircraft gun during the Vietnam War and helped the North Vietnamese, our enemy who were killing American soldiers. And nothing happened to her, Nothing. She came back to the United States, no arrest, no anything. She's saying her freedom of speech is being encroached upon. Jane. All right, here's her statement. Quote, I'm 87 years old. I've seen war repression, protests, backlash. I've been celebrated. I've been branded an enemy of the state. I can tell you this, this is the most frightening moment of my Life. Jane Fonda, October 1st. That was yesterday, 2025. Jane, I am here for you. I am here for you. I don't want you to be frightened. I want you to live out your life in a very, very benign manner. And if you're scared, Jane, I will help you. I will give you a concierge membership. We're going to give Jane Fonda a concierge membership to billorily.com free, which means Jane will get an email where when she is frightened, she can email me directly. I will take care of whatever it is for Jane because I don't want Jane to be frightened. Now, that's the kind of guy I am. I am here for Jane Fonda. Final point on this insane. The reason this happened was because of Colbert and Kimmel, okay? That's why. So market forces dictated that those two guys can't compete anymore on network television. They can't. Not enough people watch them and they're saying crazy stuff. So the combination is, see you. I make my living every single day using freedom of expression. I have done that for 50 years, 30 of which have been analysis. Now the forces of evil have tried to destroy me. They have, but they weren't attached to the government. Bill Clinton audited me three times. And my attorneys went and told them, the Clinton administration, you do another audit, we're going to see you and the audit stop. That's a true story. Okay? Because it was a political audit. That's what was happening. But that was the only encroachment by the federal government on me. Obama didn't do anything to me. Biden didn't do anything to me. And I was hard on Biden. I Obama a little bit, but not over the top. But Biden, second worst president ever. I had to report it honestly, but no government came when I was on Fox or when I'm doing my own independent news agency. We don't have any problems here expressing ourselves, even under very liberal administrations. There's no attack on freedom of speech. It doesn't exist. It's made up because Trump's a fascist. Trump, similar. That's what this is all about. It's so dishonest. But anyway, I hope I can help Jane. We do have the address of her people, so we're going to get her the concierge membership. I know it's not really fair that I'm giving her a freebie, but I am being compassionate. She's 87. I don't want her to be in a state of agitation and that age. Okay, Mandami. All right. So Mandami is running for mayor of New York City. We all know that. Who pay attention. He's a communist and he. If he gets elected on November 4, the City of New York will be in dire trouble. Violence, garbage won't be picked up. It's going to be crazy. Tax on everything. More tax on everything. I don't live in New York City. I live just outside it. Okay, so Mandani has said this. I'm going to quote it. We don't need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti queer, and a major threat to public safety. That's his statement. Madame doesn't deny it because he made it. So the cops are racist, anti queer, and a major threat to public safety. Somebody tell Tom Selleck. Okay, blue bloods, now he's on the View. Alyssa Farah, question him on it.
Caitlin Becker
Roll it back in 2020. You called for defunding the police, something you've since walked back. You also called the NYPD racist, anti queer, and a threat to public safety in 2020, but now agree they deserve an apology. You initially refused to denounce highly charged rhetoric related to Israel, then later said you would discourage its use. How can New Yorkers trust you and not be concerned that consultants are getting in your ear to get you elected, but you still hold all of those positions.
Mandami
Well, they can rest assured that it isn't consultants in my ear. And I think this is another part of. To be a young person looking to lead is also to leave the opening for growth and understanding. And my job as a mayor is to represent those officers who put their lives on the line, represent Muslim New Yorkers who are illegally surveilled, represent black and brown New Yorkers who've been the victims of police brutality and do all of it with a commitment.
Bill O'Reilly
He hates the cops and he wants to take a billion dollars out of the budget. The police already are resigning, retiring their 10,000 light. NYPD could use 10,000 more officers. And when they're all leave, which they will, not all of them, but many of them, not going to be able to replace them. Who's going to work under Mandami? The latest is at Mandami. We reported this yesterday. He doesn't want the police commission to discipline the cops. He wants them to loony civilian oversight board to do it. Crazy anti cop people to discipline the police. Why would you sign up for a job like that? My grandfather was an nypd, okay? Cops aren't going to do that. So anybody can accuse a police officer of anything, and then they go through a board that hates them for disciplinary procedure. What are you nuts? Yeah, the guy's crazy. I think that Mandani is so far out there yet, he may win. He may win. Wait till you see what happens. And already Trump is saying, hey.
Mandami

He's not getting any federal money. And I'll, I'll tell you more about that in a moment. But first, I want to go into. Now, let me tell you about Trump thing. So Trump knows, because he's a New Yorker, that the city is going to go over the cliff if Mandami is elected. He knows that. And Cuomo is running against Mandami. Adams dropped out, and then Curtis Lee was on a Republican side. Nobody likes Andrew Cuomo. And I mean that literally. You can walk down the street in New York and say, do you like Andrew Cuomo? Is anybody like Andrew? Nobody likes him. Nobody likes him. So it's tough. Trump is saying, look, we're not going to pump federal money in to this operation New York. And they pump in here a tremendous amount of money. Feds for grants begin to stop it, and that's going to make bankruptcy even more. Even more likely. Okay, this is another interesting story. You know Senator Dick Durbin, a liberal guy out of Illinois, so the Chicago archbishop there, Kupich, very liberal guy. You want to give Senator Durbin a lifetime achievement award for supporting immigrants. This is a award given by the Diocese of Chicago. Catholic Diocese, never been given before. There isn't an annual award. This is Cupid's. Likes Durbin. Okay. I want to give him an award for helping immigrants. Well, some of the more conservative clerics around the country says hold it. Durbin promotes, just as President Biden did, another erstwhile Catholic abortion. Not only does he say that it should be common and no problem with it, but he promotes it as a good thing. And Durbin does okay. That's what he does. No limitations at all. So there's a big war in the Catholic Church about this to conservative and liberal clerks. So Durbin bows out because I'm not going to take the award, which is smart, because this thing was really getting nasty. So Durbin said it's probably not worth it. But then Pope Leo and I have not heard much from the Pope. So this was an interesting statement. Here's what he said about it. Go.
Pope Leo
I think that it's very important to look at the overall work that a senator has done during, if I'm not mistaken, 40 years of service in the United States Senate. I understand the difficulty and the tensions, but I think, as I myself have spoken in the past, it's important to look at many issues that are related to what is the teaching of the Church. Someone who says I'm against abortion but says I'm in favor of the death penalty is not really pro life. So someone who says that, that I'm against abortion, but I'm in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants who are in the United States. I don't know if that's pro life. So they're very complex issues.
Bill O'Reilly
Well, what inhuman treatment are we talking about, your Holiness? I don't know what the inhuman treatment is. So if you would spell that out. I mean, I'm trying to be a good Catholic myself, and I understand the Church's teaching on abortion and on the poor. We are compelled as Catholics to help the poor. And most migrants are poor. And I help them. I do. But I'm not going to countenance illegal activity because Jesus wouldn't do that. Render to Caesar. Now, I understand the Pope wants humane treatment for migrants, and he has to, has to. But I don't think that they get in the Vatican the big picture. I'd love to talk to them about it. Okay, final thought right back. So this crazy freedom of speech thing we talked about with Jane Fond have been totally distorted by the media, as we have proven here. The Federal Communications Commission, fcc, only has jurisdiction over the three networks, and then they have a little bit public broadcasting oversight, too. But since there's no more money going to public broadcasting, that's gone. So NBC, abc, cbs, public interest is this quote, regulates public airways use and requires licensees to serve the public interest, convenience and necessity by addressing local community needs. Okay, Does Colbert and Kimmel, Han hating Trump every night address local community needs? No, it doesn't. They. They're spouting propaganda, not helping the local communities, okay, but that's it. There's no other federal oversight over speech. But if the guy, if any media hurts you, you can do what Nick Sandman did. Remember Nick Sandman? He was down in D.C. and there was a demonstration. Nick was a student at Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky and they branded him on CNN and others as a racist. And Nick sued and he settled with cnn, okay? He settled with the Washington Post and he settled with NBC. That means he got money, substantial money from all three. So that made Nick Salmon rich. That's the recourse you have with the corrupt media. You can bring them into court, but the government does not have sway over freedom of speech. Someone tell Jane Fonda thank you for watching me. Bill O'Reilly, no spin news. We'll have a good Sunday column for you. Working on it right now. I'll see you again on Monday.
Host: Bill O'Reilly
Date: October 3, 2025
In this spirited episode, Bill O’Reilly dissects the ongoing government shutdown, analyzes persistent economic pain points for Americans (particularly grocery prices and retirement insecurity), and critiques recent comments by Jane Fonda on freedom of speech. O’Reilly promises a “no spin” approach, stripping away ideology and media talking points to provide his perspective on these headline issues.
“Do you remember the last time the government shut down? I had to cover it. But it’s kind of fuzzy.” (03:08)
“Joe Biden wrecked the entire immigration system in this country. Destroyed it. It’s got to be rebuilt.” (07:11)
“There’s no way the two sides could have ever agreed on the health care for migrants… [Democrats] knew this was all contrived.” (06:20)
“New legislation has to be passed.” (08:28)
“65% of American households are worried about their finances. Now, you’re always going to be worried about your finances… but just to a degree—how bad is the squeeze?” (13:36)
“I much rather get that deficit in debt down because that would spur investment in the stock market. I am a man who believes in self reliance.” (15:58)
“In England, it’s reaching critical mass and you get 150,000 people out there.” (21:19)
Fonda, leading a showbiz activist group, claims:

Summary:
O’Reilly delivers his brand of “no spin” analysis on the shutdown theater in Washington, the ongoing squeeze on American households, and the supposed threats to free speech voiced by Jane Fonda and Hollywood elites. He critiques both parties but reserves particular ire for what he frames as contrived progressive activism, providing a blend of political analysis, economic breakdowns, cultural anecdotes, and rapid-fire opinion.
