Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Here's what's happening today in America. Trump and Bob straight blockade, two attacks in one weekend and adored Nash to a special address. That's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, a little spat between the president and the pope. Of course, the president said last week that a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I was done to get Iran to the negotiating table, which it did. Well, the pope said when that happened today, as we all know, there was this threat against all the people of Iran. This is truly unacceptable. It wasn't that, obviously, but the pope had other criticisms against the president. And the president wrote back, Pope Leo is weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy. He later said, I don't want a pope who thinks it's okay for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. The pope called for peace through dialogue and not with the desire to dominate others, but to encounter them on his way to Africa. The pope said, I will not enter into debate. The things that I say are certainly not meant as attacks on anyone. The message of the gospel is very clear. Blessed are the peacemakers. Well, in peace news, Britain is sending minesweepers to the Strait of Hormuz. That's not very peaceful of the Iranians, but England's not going to send them yet. They've criticized the rush to have this naval blockade start yesterday. Why the rush? The Royal Navy once had a huge mine warfare fleet, over a hundred dedicated vessels, but they're just a fraction of that now and they haven't used any of them to help us at all. By the way, the difference between Iran blocking the strait and this Trump blockade, when Iran blocked the strait, they blocked all the oil from going through the strait, which is about 20 to 25% of the world's supply. So that hurt everyone. This Trump blockade only blocks ships from getting Iranian oil and that only stops 4% of the world's oil supply, which we can easily make up for everywhere, including the Gulf of America. A man from Texas was charged with traveling to California to throw a Molotov cocktail at the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman's house. He was caught on security camera footage throwing it. It's 4am no one was hurt. He was arrested an hour later outside OpenAI's headquarters where he was trying to burn that building down. That was on Friday. And then in a separate incident. Two people were arrested for firing shots at Altman's house. On Sunday morning, the president received a doordash at the White House from McDonald's. This was to promote his no tax on tips policy. The delivery woman, Sharon Simmons, did not have to pay taxes on the $11,000 in tips that she received last year. This is from the One Big Beautiful Bill. Of course, her husband is currently undergoing cancer treatment. And the president invited both of them to the UFC fight night on June 14th as a part of our 250th anniversary. I'm Mike Slater from Politics by Faith. YouTube.com O politicsbyfaith. Today's episode, more on that feud between the president and the Pope. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next,

The progressive left is in a conundrum because it opposes the Iran action. Yet that nation is vile and destructive, hard to sympathize with the mullahs. So all criticism about the fracas is is directed toward President Trump, who for some of the far left is actually worse than the Iranian killers. Mr. Trump cannot back off now from the hostilities, as he would be immediately branded a failed leader. He has to play it out with the defiant mullahs, and that will cause economic pain to us all, something many Americans are loathe to accept. As I said at the beginning of this conflict, this is the president's biggest gamble as the midterms loom. Now, as a loyal American, I want to see Iran defeated, its reign of terror destroyed. I'd feel that way under Joe Biden or any president for that matter. I understand the price that has to be paid for that in Goods in spirit. Doing the right thing in matters like this is never easy. But faced with a terror nation that has nuclear capabilities, what's the Choice? I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You, you can reach me, bill@billoriley.com bill@billoriley.com name in town if you wish to opine. Now, let's go to the mail. Jeff Mills, Daytona Beach Bill, I too am a simple man. I support what President Trump is doing in Iran. If he finished a job, it's worth it. However, if that regime retains uranium, it will be a failure. I would agree with that assessment. I would agree with that. You can't let them have uranium, George, Given the alternatives, I believe the iaea, that is the nuclear agency based in Austria, anyone who trusts anything Iran says is a moron. It's mandatory to remove Iran's nuclear enrichment capability and the control of Hormuz. If we do not, they'll continue to menace the free world. I think all of that is accurate. Okay. But remember, your compatriots, many of them in America, have no blanken idea what this is all about. Lena Akers, Reno, Nevada. Hey, Bill, my question is regarding Iran. President Trump said all military goals have been achieved. I was under the impression that our target was to destroy their ability to make nuclear bombs, not opening Hormuz. There have been no expressions or reports of many underground facilities. Well, that's the problem, Lana. They won't let anybody in the look, that problem could be solved in a minute. Yeah, come in every two months and see what we're doing. As far as who moves, this is a new strategy. In a moment, something you might not know. Financial stress is hitting an all time high. Millions of Americans are stretched thin with no extra money, no room to breathe. And this isn't just lower income households. Middle class families are also running out of options. If debt has been weighing on you, you are not alone. And waiting usually makes things worse. Interest grows, minimum payments trap you. Nothing changes. You don't need another loan or to consider bankruptcy. You need a strategy. That's why I like done with debt. They build a smart personalized plan around you and understand what it takes to work toward the biggest reductions possible. Whether you owe $10,000 or much more, their goal is simple. Two years ago today, President Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that the USA would not support a military strike against Iran. That decision emboldened the mullahs and their pursuit of a nuclear weapon. Here is the story. On April 1, 2024, Israel launched an airstrike against the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, eliminating two senior generals. The mission was part of Jerusalem's response to the October 7th attack that killed more more than 1200 Israeli civilians. In retaliation, Tehran authorized Operation True Promise. Hundreds of drones and missiles were fired against Israel. Despite the barrage, the country's Iron Dome defense system destroyed 99% of the projectiles before they reached their targets. Back in Washington, D.C. president Biden and his national security team feared a wider war in the Middle East. On April 14, the president called Netanyahu, telling him the USA would not take part in any counter strike. Said one senior member of the administration, quote, the U.S. is not looking for a significant escalation with Tehran. The president was very clear that we're going to help defend Israel, but we have to think carefully about the risk of escalation. And here's something else you might not know. Under President Biden, the global threat from Iran grew. In total, the Islamic Republic received more than 50 billion billion in previously frozen assets. Despite numerous efforts and financial incentives, negotiations to end the regime's nuclear program faltered in 2022. The chaos culminated with October 7th and that attack on Israel from Iranian proxies Hamas in Gaza. Back in a moment. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. I am Bill O'Reilly.
