Thanks, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. Denied entry, Florida state shooting Supreme Court agrees to take it and more like astronauts. It's all coming out. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, the senator from Maryland, Chris Van Hollen, said he was denied entry into the El Salvador prison to check on the well being of the Maryland father, who's also an MS.13 gang member, Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Obviously, he was denied entry. The Democrat senator said at a news conference that his car was stopped by soldiers at a checkpoint 3 km from the terrorism confinement center. Meanwhile, Congressman Sri Tannadar from Michigan said the administration's actions warrant an impeachment for not abiding by a Supreme Court order. Now, to be clear, the order from the Supreme Court agreed with a lower court that the administration must facilitate Abrego Garcia's return. But the court did not uphold the lower court's order to effectuate his return. Facilitate and effectuate are two very different things. Speaking of the Supreme Court, they have agreed to hear a case to end birthright citizenship. This case is about interpreting the 14th Amendment, which was written right after the Civil War and in my opinion was clearly about the children of slaves, not illegal immigrants. This is in response to Trump's executive order that ends the anchor baby policy where 250,000 anchor babies are given citizenship every year. That's 250,000 babies born to illegal alien parents. Years later, those children can sponsor their illegal alien parents and foreign relatives for green cards. Tom Holman said, I think the Supreme Court finally needs to answer that question. Now, I'm not a lawyer, but I can read. Now, no one could ever predict a Supreme Court decision. There was a mass shooting at Florida State University's campus in Tallahassee. What's reported so far, the murderer fired 15 rounds. He reportedly is the son of a local sheriff deputy. Two people were killed, six injured. Police believe he was the only shooter involved. Gayle King and Katy Perry have demanded to be known as astronauts because of their four minute sensation of weightlessness. But apparently they weren't in a place where there actually was no gravity. It's just that the force of dropping made them feel weightless for a while. Well, the transportation secretary, Sean Duffy, has weighed in. He said that crew members who travel into space must have demonstrated activities during the flight that were essential to public safety or contributed to human space flight safety. The crew who flew to space this weekend on an automated flight by Blue Origin were brave and glamour, but you cannot identify as an astronaut. They do not meet the FAA astronaut criteria. I'm Mike Slater. From Politics by faith, Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

There's a lot of keeping the faith going on Holy Week, Passover, the US Economy. So where are you on the faith front? Americans are not nearly as involved with religion as they were, say, 50 years ago. The fastest rising belief system among young adults is atheism, and weekly public worship has declined significantly. We now live in a secular country where materialism dominates the culture. The pursuit of where's mine has replaced, out of many, one that means personal sacrifice and loyalty to God and country is evaporating. Very tough to reach greater good territory when it's every citizen for his or her self. Yet the traditional signposts remain, even if spring break has replaced Easter vacation. Churches, synagogues, mosques beckon, but their appeal in a secular society is diminished, not to mention being away from the cell phones for an hour or more. Finally, faith in the country also on the decline. As the media pumps out cynicism night after night, many citizens simply disengage. Why should we bother with such a corrupt system, that kind of thing? So all of this is not good, in my opinion. And it's something to ponder this spiritual week. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billorilly.com billorilly.com, name in town if you wish to opine. Let's go to the mail. We got Linda Clang In Point Lookout, New York. Hey, Bill, I'm confused. Is there presently a 10% across the board tariff happening? I appreciate the pause in the tariffs, but want to know why there are any at all. Just what I told Bolling, Linda, The VAT tax jacks up the price of all American goods going into Europe. It's not a tariff, but anybody buying US Products got to pay that tax. So what Trump has done is put a 10 percenter on everybody else so we don't get hosed in the tax realm. We got Frank concierge. Remember, Trump's terrorist problems haven't yet been resolved. His battle with China could cause a lot more losses in the stock market. I don't trust his financial advisors like Peter Navarro. Hey, nothing we can do about it. He's a president, right? I'm not going to. I'm not telling you any of these guys are geniuses. I mean, but he's the president. Ruth, I've been concerned a long time with the amount of land, real estate and debt China owes in the US how much is it? How do I know? China is not showing me its books. China buys stuff through companies in America. They're not going to tell you what they have. It's a totalitarian regime. My Clark Ball in New York. I'm trying to understand why China communist country needs US Dollars to finance its military buildup. We will have this tomorrow in the Talking Points memo. I'm just going to give you a preview. Mike. So we had a guest on last week, an expert in Chinese trade said China is not using the vast amount of money it takes out of the US Every year for its military. That is not true and tomorrow you'll see it. All right. So pretty interesting in a moment. Something you might not know. Subtle results still you but with fewer lines. See for yourself@botoxcosmetic.com now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know and here's a little history. Jesus of Nazareth was born sometime between 6 and 4 B.C. in Bethlehem Judea, which is now in Israel. He was killed on April 3, 33 AD outside of Jerusalem. Today there are 2.4 billion Christians around the world and Jesus is the most famous person who ever lived. How did that happen? Some of you might know that I wrote the history book Killing Jesus. No religion in it. It's all about the Nazarene and what actually happened during his short lifetime. We do not use the Gospels as source material. My co author Martin Dugard traveled to Israel. The government there let us look into the archives and find out actual things that happened surrounding the death of Jesus. We then researched in Italy. Emperor Tiberius was in power back then and the Romans kept very detailed records. Here is what we know to be true. The Nazarene was born to Joseph and Mary. Herod wanted to kill him because Herod thought he was a threat. It had been written in scripture that a Messiah would be born in Judea. Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus fled to eastern Egypt and hid out for a while before returning to Nazareth, where Jesus became a stone cutter. Many people believe he was a carpenter, but that's not true. There were no trees. Everything was made of stone. In short order, Jesus captured the attention of thousands of people. And here is a startling fact. They could not hear him. He didn't have a microphone. They could see him, but they couldn't hear him. But thousands flocked to his mission. Why? We believe it was because of the healings. Back after this.

The episode offers incisive commentary on political controversies, Supreme Court deliberations, national security concerns, societal shifts in faith, and historical insights into the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
1. News Highlights
Denied Entry to El Salvador Prison
Mike Slater begins the episode by reporting that Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen was denied entry into an El Salvador prison to monitor the well-being of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father affiliated with the MS-13 gang. Slater highlights the political tensions surrounding this incident:
Mike Slater [00:33]: "The Democrat senator said his car was stopped by soldiers at a checkpoint 3 km from the terrorism confinement center."
Calls for Impeachment Over Supreme Court Order
Congressman Sri Tannadar from Michigan criticizes the administration for not adhering to a Supreme Court order regarding Abrego Garcia’s return, suggesting that their actions merit impeachment:
Mike Slater [00:45]: "The administration's actions warrant an impeachment for not abiding by a Supreme Court order."
Supreme Court to Hear Birthright Citizenship Case
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a landmark case aiming to end birthright citizenship, challenging the 14th Amendment's interpretation. This move is seen as a response to former President Trump's executive order targeting the "anchor baby" policy, which grants citizenship to approximately 250,000 children born to illegal alien parents each year.
Mike Slater [01:10]: "Tom Holman said, 'I think the Supreme Court finally needs to answer that question.'"
Mass Shooting at Florida State University
A tragic mass shooting occurred at Florida State University’s Tallahassee campus. The shooter, reportedly the son of a local sheriff deputy, fired 15 rounds, resulting in two deaths and six injuries. Authorities believe he acted alone.
Celebrities Claiming Astronaut Status
Celebrities Gayle King and Katy Perry have publicly insisted on being recognized as astronauts after experiencing brief moments of perceived weightlessness. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy responds by clarifying the stringent criteria required to earn the title of astronaut:
Sean Duffy [02:50]: "Crew members who travel into space must have demonstrated activities during the flight that were essential to public safety or contributed to human space flight safety. [...] You cannot identify as an astronaut unless you meet the FAA criteria."
2. Message of the Day: The Decline of Faith in America
Bill O’Reilly shifts focus to a societal issue: the declining role of religion and faith in American life. He observes that:
Decrease in Religious Participation: Americans are significantly less involved with religious institutions compared to 50 years ago. The fastest-growing belief system among young adults is atheism, and weekly public worship has seen a considerable decline.
Rise of Secularism and Materialism: The culture is increasingly secular and materialistic, emphasizing individualism over communal and spiritual values. O’Reilly notes,
Bill O’Reilly [04:00]: "We now live in a secular country where materialism dominates the culture."
Diminished Appeal of Religious Institutions: Churches, synagogues, and mosques still exist but struggle to attract congregants, especially in an age dominated by technology and constant connectivity.
Erosion of National Faith: Media-driven cynicism has led many citizens to disengage from trusting the country's institutions and leaders, fostering a sense of disenchantment and isolation.
O’Reilly emphasizes the importance of faith and communal sacrifice, lamenting that personal gain has overshadowed collective well-being:
Bill O’Reilly [05:15]: "The pursuit of 'where's mine' has replaced 'out of many, one,' that means personal sacrifice and loyalty to God and country is evaporating."
3. Listener Mail Segment
Bill O’Reilly addresses questions from listeners, providing clarity on economic and international issues:
Question on Tariffs
Linda Clang from Point Lookout, New York, inquires about a supposed 10% across-the-board tariff:
Bill O’Reilly [06:00]: "The VAT tax jacks up the price of all American goods going into Europe. It's not a tariff, but anybody buying US products has to pay that tax."
Concerns About China and Trump's Policies
Frank Concierge voices concerns about President Trump's handling of terrorism and trade relations with China, expressing distrust in Trump’s financial advisors like Peter Navarro:
Frank Concierge: "Trump's battle with China could cause a lot more losses in the stock market. I don't trust his financial advisors like Peter Navarro."
O’Reilly responds by highlighting the complexities of dealing with China’s opaque financial practices:
Bill O’Reilly: "China buys stuff through companies in America. They're not going to tell you what they have. It's a totalitarian regime."
Inquiry About China's Use of US Dollars
My Clark Ball from New York asks why China, a communist country, needs US dollars to finance its military buildup. O’Reilly hints at upcoming analysis:
Bill O’Reilly [07:15]: "We had a guest last week, an expert in Chinese trade, who said China is not using the vast amount of money it takes out of the US every year for its military. That is not true, and tomorrow you'll see it."
4. Historical Insights: The Life of Jesus of Nazareth
In an educational segment, Bill O’Reilly provides a historical account of Jesus of Nazareth, drawing from his book "Killing Jesus." He emphasizes a secular perspective, relying on archival research rather than religious texts:
Birth and Early Life: Jesus was born between 6 and 4 B.C. in Bethlehem, Judea, now part of modern-day Israel. To escape King Herod's decree to kill him, Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus fled to eastern Egypt before returning to Nazareth.
Occupation Misconceptions: Contrary to popular belief, Jesus was a stone cutter, not a carpenter, aligning with the region's predominant stone architecture.
Public Appeal Without Amplification: Despite lacking technological means to project his voice, Jesus captivated thousands through his healing abilities, which fostered a significant following.
Bill O’Reilly [09:14]: "They could not hear him. He didn't have a microphone. They could see him, but they couldn't hear him. But thousands flocked to his mission."
