Thank you, Bill. It is Monday, August 10, 2026. Here's what's happening today in America. Hating Americana, boat capsizes in Manhattan city gets hacked and putting the W in wnba. It's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. First, Abdul Al said he is the Democratic nominee for Senate in Michigan. Said he spoke with former President Barack Obama after his victory and he hopes that Obama will join him on the campaign trail in the next 90 days. Al said it was a really warm and inspiring conversation. I was grateful for his advice and I know that he knows the critical role that Michigan is going to play in holding Trump accountable, in winning back the Senate and in building forward the future that we need. Tricky spot for Obama. He could be sharing the stage with people like Hasan Piker who said America deserved 9 11. There was also footage released of Al Said walking through Mackinac Island. This is where the state of Michigan has a summer home for the governor. And he said, I hate Mackinaw so much. Mackinac Islands, one of the most beautiful, quaint all American towns in the country. So of course he hates it. A boat capsized in New York harbor killing a 5 month old and a 27 year old woman. 12 other people were rescued. The operator of the boat was arrested, charged with multiple counts of reckless endangerment. 46 year old Manuel Hernandez. The Coast Guard is investigating if this was an illegal charter operation. A town of 30,000 people in Northern California, Sussein City, it's 45 miles outside of San Francisco. Their computer network was hacked. The city had to disconnect the entire computer network, including their 911 emergency line while they tried to take back control. This is after the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency put out a notice urgently warning the private sector that hackers backed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were attempting to disrupt systems tied to America's water, energy, transportation and communication systems. And this after just a couple weeks ago when water systems in 12 different states, according to the FBI had their water systems hacked into. The WNBA is in the news. There was a flagrant foul from Dejani Carrington against Sophie Cunningham. Sophie was going for a layup to John. I just clotheslined her in the face. She was ejected from the game. And then she wrote on Twitter, white privilege. The attorney general of Florida said the WNBA knows better than to play games here in Florida because I'll be charging people with assault. And Florida doesn't have a WNBA team. In other WNBA news, two former NBA players, Inez Cantor Freedom and Royce White, one six eight the other six ten said they now identify as women and they want to play in the wnba. The commissioner said they're having a league wide meeting about whether or not they should allow men to play in the women's the WNBA. The great Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the Day on this Monday, I'm thinking about the most dangerous person in America. That man is Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont. The 84 year old from Brooklyn wants the federal government to tell children what to think, how to behave. He despises traditional parenting because he knows most American families will never buy into his communist movement. The Marxists claim they want to give the folks, quote, free child care, but that's not the truth. They want the kids in a setting where they can be indoctrinated. They want universal child care, nothing to do with babysitting or health or anything like that. And universal child care is what happens in every communist nation. Sadly, many Americans are buying into this garbage because of greed from the big corporations. Food is way too expensive. So is babysitters. Gas prices go up and down depending on the day. People are beleaguered financially and these major companies are making big profits. That leads to communism, always has. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billoriele.com, billoriley.com name in town if you wish to opine. Now. Let's go to the mail. Bill. Forrest, Woodbridge, Virginia, is a Catholic journalist. You say interviewing the pope is not at the top of your is at the top of your list, but will never happen. Why not? Because he doesn't do confrontational political interviews. This undo him. Monty Montel, San Diego I'm wondering when a recall effort will be started to replace Mayor Ma'. Am. Donny about never. Poor people in New York want the communism. They're not recalling him. Kathy Barron, St. Louis My husband and I, concierge members, thank you. I'm planning a trip to Italy in September. Is it safe to travel to Venice, Verona, Cortina? Yes, it's safe and I would go. September is a good time, but you got to keep in touch with the State Department. Spain is out. Italy, okay, but you got to stay aware, I would buy travel insurance. Okay. 250 hats still booming. We'll get them to you by the middle of the month, we change our warehouse. But you want the 250 hats as a keepsake, all right? Or gifts or whatever. They're gonna be good for the whole year and beyond. Word of the day, no cacophony. Writing to me. Billoriley.com bill@billorilly.com and now you got the text thing. I'm opening. I'm creating a Frankenstein's monster here. I know it. But we'll see how it goes in a moment. Something you might not know.

The O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 81 years ago today, a B29 bomber dropped a bomb named Fellow Fat man over the Japanese city of Nagasaki. The explosion instantly incinerated one square mile and 50,000 homes. Here's the story behind America's nuclear attack on Japan. Tokyo began its conquest of the Pacific in the 1930s. By the summer of 1945, more than 30 million people had been killed across Asia, including 26 million civilians. After the Allied victory over Nazi Germany, President Harry Truman began planning the invasion of Japan. On July 16, Oppenheimer and his crew successfully detonated the first nuclear device in New Mexico. On August 6, one week before the Soviets was scheduled to enter World War II in the Pacific, Truman ordered the first atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. It took the Japanese more than four hours to understand why that entire city had suddenly gone silent. The emperor of Japan hoped the device was one of a kind. He was wrong. On August 9, another atom bomb destroyed Nagasaki because the Japanese would not surrender even after Hiroshima. Nine days later, Emperor Hirohito delivered a radio address announcing Japan's final surrender. Said the emperor, quote, the enemy has begun to employ a new and most cruel bomb. It was the first time most Japanese people had ever heard the emperor's voice. He was considered a God. In total, the atomic bombs killed 200,000 Japanese men women and children. The explosion also saved countless Americans who would have perished during the invasion of Japan. Back in a moment. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. I am Bill O'Reilly. No spin, just facts. And always looking out for you.
