Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. Big day in D.C. illegal U turn, over 400 arrests and it's over for the peacock. It's all coming up and Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, quite a remarkable day in D.C. yesterday. Never have there been so many European leaders at the White House at the same time. We had the leaders of of course, Ukraine, Germany, France, inland, Italy, Finland, which sounds odd, but they have a very big border with Russia. Fought the Winter war back in 1939 with each other as well. Also the head of the European Union and the NATO Secretary general were all there, joined by Trump, his team, JD Vance, Marco Rubio, special envoy Keith Kellogg and Steve Witkoff. It looks like some plans are coming together where Putin has agreed to some security guarantees from Europe and the United States to protect Ukraine. So a sort of NATO like protection. And then looks like Europe maybe has agreed and Ukraine has agreed to giving up of some Ukrainian land to Russia. Of course, devil in the details. And Trump even said this whole thing could fall apart at any moment. But it is also noted by every European leader there that this is all because of Donald Trump. The German chancellor said the path is open and you opened it. Our president had a 40 minute phone call with Vladimir Putin after the meeting to try to set up a trilateral meeting with Putin, Zelensky and Trump. He said if they want him there. An illegal alien from India who got his commercial driver's license in California did an illegal U turn on a highway in California. There was a van driving down the highway slammed into the side of the trailer. Three people died. Newsom's press office said the Trump administration confirmed that this man meets federal and state immigration requirements and issued him a work permit. But the administration fought back, responded that Harjinder Singh his work authorization was actually rejected by the Trump administration in 2020, but was later approved by Biden in 2021. He is under arrest as part of the D.C. crackdown. 68 suspects were arrested during one night in Washington D.C. 15 illegal firearms confis. Over 400 arrests in D.C. total since the Trump takeover. And Pam Bondi said we're not slowing down. We're committed to making D.C. safe again. This is the end of MSNBC. They are separating from NBC. So they're now going to be known as Ms. Now, short for my Source News Opinion World. They unveiled a new Just terrible logo that will no longer have the peacock on it. This is the end of MSNBC 2 because that peacock and NBC News gave them whatever credibility they they needed, whatever shred of it left to stay relevant. And now it's done. Without the peacock for a shield, they will be totally exposed for who they really are. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the.

Day next Corporate megastores are spending millions lobbying D.C. politicians on one sided policies that send small businesses tumbling. They want to enact harmful credit card mandates that take resources away from your local credit union and community bank, leaving Main street businesses with less access to credit, making it harder for your family to pay for everyday goods like gas and groceries. Tell Congress to guard your card and oppose the Durbin Marshall credit card mandates.

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the day on this Tuesday. Predictably, President Trump is taking heat because his meeting with Putin did not lead to concrete progress on Ukraine. The ideological crazies have no blanket idea how difficult ending this war will be. And to be fair, Mr. Trump has underestimated Putin's evil. Bad Vlad likes to inflict pain and suffering. He enjoys that. At this point, the civilized world wants Putin to stop the fighting in Ukraine so the dictator holds the power card. It's not equal footing with Mr. Trump. Putin is on top because only he can stop the madness. If the USA and Europe decide to wage economic warfare on Russia, the scenario changes. But aggressive action against a psychopath can be dangerous. Finally, if Kamala Harris had been elected, none of this would be happening. She would have continued the Biden policy of pumping $200 billion into Ukraine and then standing on the sidelines. Putin would not even return Biden's calls. Can you even picture Kamala Harris negotiating face to face with evil Vlad Putin can you? I'm sorry. I don't want to be unfair, but I can't. And I don't think she would put herself through that. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me, Bill, at billoriley.com billorilly.com name in town if you wish to opine. Okay, let's go to the mail. No, I didn't promote my YouTube thing. All right. So I have a new YouTube bonus and it's YouTube.com Bill O'Reilly. It is free. You guys who haven't signed up yet, I can't understand this. These commentaries, you will like them and not what we do here. It's on the Democratic Party. This is the latest bonus. Nobody doing this kind of stuff on YouTube. What they do on YouTube is like attack Laura Loomer and attack this one and that one. We can't. We have important things to do here. All right. So anyway, I hope you check it out. You'll like the commentary. I believe Coleman is a concierge memory. There's another thing. If you become a concierge member on billoriley.com you get confronting evil free and a not woke bumper sticker. It almost pays for your membership for a year. And then if you get into any trouble, we'll help you and the people don't do it. Why don't you do it? I don't know. Coleman. Putin integrators cease fire while negotiations continues to Trump better increase sanctions and arms to Ukraine to defend themselves. Okay. I mean, I think that's going to happen. The arm is already in motion. Ukraine is going to get more weapons. Are they going to defeat Putin? No. It's going to be a grind out thing, Sarah. I think Trump needs to make things much more unpleasant for Putin before the next meeting. Putin responds by increasing attacks on Ukraine, increasing economic hardship. All right. I mean, I'm not disagreeing. That's where it has to go. Now in a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 91 years ago today, the people of Germany voted in a nationwide Referendum yes or no vote. The measure solidified the absolute authority of one of the most evil men to ever exist. Here's the story behind the rise of Adolf Hitler. The Nazi party grew steadily during the Great depression of the 1930s. But in 1924, that organization had just 25,000 members in Germany. Six years later, 12 million. Hitler was chosen as Chancellor. On August 19, 1934, the Nazis called a national vote. After the death of President Paul von Hindenburg, who was simply president in name only, Hitler wielded all the power as chancellor. The Nazi party used violence, extortion, even murder to intimidate the voters. The referendum said, quote, the office of the national president is united with that of the national Chancellor. In consequence, all powers will pass to Adolf Hitler. Do you German man and woman approve? 90% said ya. Immediately, the membership with the Nazi party became mandatory for all civil servants, teachers, journalists, bureaucrats. The organization dominated every aspect of German society. The secret police known as the Gestapo were unleashed on the German people. The vicious unit operated without any legal constraint. It could make you disappear. Tens of thousands of Germans were detained. Enemies of the state, including communist Jews, Catholic priests, homosexuals, any dissonant. Working alongside the ss, Hitler's bodyguard, the Gestapo placed so called inferior races into concentration camps. And here's something else you might not know. Hitler's dream of a thousand year Reich lasted only a decade. By the summer of 1945, the Fuhrer was dead, his party banned, its leaders hunted around the world. For more fascinating stories about the evil Adolf Hitler, please check out my upcoming book confronting evil out September 9th. Back after this. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly Update. I am Bill O'Reilly. No spin, just facts. And always looking out for you.
