Thanks, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. Redo the census, Redistricting war continues. Trump targets CEO and Superman joins ice. It's all coming up. And Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, big political news. The president said a truth yesterday. I've instructed the Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate census. People who are in our country illegally will not be counted in the census. Thank you for your attention to this matter. The census, which is usually done every 10 years, that ends with a zero. This counting of people determines how many congressional seats every state has, which determines how many electoral college votes every state has. The last census was done in 2020. But in 2022, the census and Joe Biden's administration admitted they admitted that they undercounted in five states, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, all Republican states. And they overcounted in Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York and Rhode island, all blue states. Gosh, golly, wouldn't you know it? It's believed that if we just had an accurate count, that would be 10 congressional seats that the Democrats would lose and Republicans would gain and then, of course, 10 electoral college votes. So on top of that, the census has been counting illegal aliens. Stephen Miller and Elon Musk have said that if we don't count illegal aliens, the Democrats could lose as many as 20 seats and 20 votes in the Electoral College, which would make it nearly impossible for a Democrat to win the White House in 2028 if the census is redone quickly, which the president is calling for. The redistricting saga continues, this time with the vice president and a bunch of people from the White House meeting with lawmakers in Indiana, calling on them to redistrict their state. Indiana has nine congressional districts. Two are Democrats. One of them, though, is a Democrat seat only plus one, so very close district. The other is plus 22, Indianapolis, but all the Republican seats are plus eight, plus 13, plus 15 or higher. So there's a lot of room to divvy up to take out that +21 district if they want to do that. The president of the United States has demanded the CEO of Intel resign. Lip Bhutan, the president said the CEO of Intel is highly conflicted and must resign immediately. There is no other solution to this problem. This is after the senator from Arkansas, Tom Cotton, wrote a letter to the board of intel highlighting the CEO's ties to the Communist Party and companies that he owns in China. Former Superman actor and Fox News host Dean Cain said he will be joining ice. ICE announced that they eliminated age limits for new hires. In the past, you had to be at least 21 and no older than 37. But now you can be as young as 18 with a $50,000 signing bonus. DHS says they need to hire 10,000 people, and in just the past week or so, they've had 80,000 applicants. I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast called Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis: The O’Reilly Update, August 9, 2025
Release Date: August 9, 2025
Bill O’Reilly returns with a comprehensive analysis of the current political and social landscape in this episode of "The O’Reilly Update." Skipping over the usual advertisements and introductory remarks, O’Reilly delves into significant national issues, listener interactions, and historical insights, providing a detailed overview for those who couldn't tune in.
Census Redo and Redistricting Implications
Mike Slater opens the segment with a discussion on the President's directive to the Department of Commerce to initiate a new, highly accurate census. This move aims to exclude individuals residing in the country illegally from the count. Slater highlights the political motivations behind this decision, noting that the census data directly influences the number of congressional seats and electoral college votes allocated to each state.
"The president said a truth yesterday. I've instructed the Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate census. People who are in our country illegally will not be counted in the census." [00:40]
Slater critiques the Biden administration's handling of the previous census in 2020, pointing out alleged discrepancies in population counts between Republican and Democratic states. He cites that an accurate count could potentially result in significant losses for Democrats in both congressional seats and electoral votes.
Redistricting Efforts in Indiana
The conversation shifts to the ongoing redistricting battle in Indiana. Slater explains that senior administration officials, including the Vice President, are actively engaging with state lawmakers to redraw congressional districts in a manner that favors Republican interests. The focus is on manipulating district lines to dilute Democratic representation.
"Indiana has nine congressional districts. Two are Democrats. ... So there's a lot of room to divvy up to take out that +21 district if they want to do that." [02:00]
President Targets Intel CEO
In a significant corporate shake-up, the President has demanded the resignation of Intel's CEO, citing conflicts of interest and alleged ties to the Communist Party and Chinese businesses. This action follows a letter from Senator Tom Cotton, who raised concerns about the CEO's affiliations.
"The president of the United States has demanded the CEO of Intel resign. Lip Bhutan, the president said the CEO of Intel is highly conflicted and must resign immediately." [02:45]
Dean Cain Joins ICE
Former Superman actor and Fox News host Dean Cain has announced his transition to work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This development comes amidst ICE's revised hiring policies, which now accept applicants as young as 18 and offer substantial signing bonuses to attract the necessary workforce.
"Former Superman actor and Fox News host Dean Cain said he will be joining ICE." [03:15]
Boston's Descent into Disorder
Bill O’Reilly addresses the growing concerns in Boston, drawing parallels to cities like San Francisco and Portland. He criticizes Mayor Michelle Wu's harm reduction policies, which, according to O’Reilly, have led to an increase in public drug use and social disorder. The message emphasizes the negative impact on both residents and the city's image as a tourist destination.
"One of the great cities in the world, Boston is now heading down the same destructive path that San Francisco and Portland, Oregon took. Politicians are coddling drug addicts and barbaric behavior is the result." [03:51]
O’Reilly recounts personal observations of increased drug-related activities in affluent neighborhoods like Beacon Hill, highlighting the broader societal implications of lax drug policies.
Bernie Sanders' Net Worth
In the listener mail segment, O’Reilly addresses a comment from Ricardo, questioning Bernie Sanders' financial status. Contrary to Sanders' portrayal as a champion of the common man, O’Reilly points out that Sanders' net worth places him in the top 2% of American households, undermining his critique of wealth inequality.
"Bernie Sanders net worth is about 3 million. Puts him in top 2% of households in the USA. So according to him, he's the problem. He's not a billionaire. Bernie lives large, I'll tell you that." [05:57]
Taxation of the Wealthy
Another letter from Lynn criticizes the concept of taxing the rich indiscriminately. O’Reilly supports this viewpoint by challenging the ambiguity of what constitutes a "fair share," suggesting that socialists aim to tax all earnings, which he argues is unrealistic.
"The problem with taxing the rich is who pay their fair share... That's what I always ask him. What's fair share?" [06:52]
Delving into history, O’Reilly explores the tumultuous reign of Henry VIII and his role in establishing the Church of England. He outlines the events leading to the king's excommunication by Pope Clement XII and the subsequent creation of a Protestant sect, which sparked decades of religious warfare across Europe.
"Henry VIII's impulsive decision caused generations of misery. Towns turned on each other. Catholics and Protestants were slaughtered by the thousands in religious warfare." [08:15]
O’Reilly details the harsh measures Henry VIII implemented to enforce his new religious order, including the execution of over 70,000 English subjects and the intolerance towards Catholics. He also touches upon the enduring legacy of Henry VIII’s religious reforms, noting the vast membership of the Anglican Church worldwide.
"Henry's religious order remains a major Protestant sect to this day. There are more than 85 million members of the Anglican Church around the world, including 45 million in Africa." [10:15]
This historical segment sets the stage for O’Reilly’s upcoming book, "Confronting Evil," where he plans to further examine Henry VIII’s impact on England and Europe.
Conclusion
In this episode of "The O’Reilly Update," Bill O’Reilly provides a thorough analysis of pressing political issues, offers critical perspectives on public policies, engages with listener viewpoints, and enriches the discussion with historical context. His approach aims to inform and provoke thought among listeners who seek straightforward, fact-based news commentary.
