Thanks, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. ICE agent info, JD has his back, trouble in Iran and the War Powers Act. It's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, the ICE agent who shot and killed the woman who drove a vehicle into him is part of a specially trained tactical unit called the ICE ero. That's Enforcement and Removal Operations Special Response Team. This group provides high risk operational support for all immigration enforcement actions and they receive special advanced training in tactical operations, firearms, defensive tactics and crowd control. Congressman Daniel Godlin called ICE untrained thugs. That's not true about any ICE agent, but certainly not this guy. This same ICE agent back in June was dragged by a car 100 yards, also in Minnesota, suffered serious injuries. Stitches in his hand, 20 stitches in his arm. A jury in Salt Lake found that illegal alien who he was trying to detain guilty of assault on a federal officer with a dangerous and deadly weapon, the car causing bodily injury. Our vice president, having none of the media spin in the White House press briefing room, he took to the podium, quoted a CNN headline which said outrage after ICE officer kills US Citizen. The vice president said, what that headline leaves out is that the woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation in the United States of America. What that headline leaves out is that the woman is part of a broader left wing network to attack, to dox, to assault, and to make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job. If the media wants to tell the truth, they ought to tell the truth, that a group of left wing radicals have been working tirelessly, sometimes using domestic terror techniques to try to make it impossible for the president of the United States to do what the American people elected him to do, which is to enforce our immigration laws. The regime in Iran is in serious trouble. These protests lately seem different than ones in the past. We'll see. We're now over 12 days into them. Evidence of a government building totally in flames. Many people chanting Long live the Shah, a reference to the exiled son of the former shah and a reference to the last time the Iranian people were free back in 1979. Inflation's at 40% in Iran right now. Protesters changed the name of a street in Tehran to Donald Trump Street. The Senate passed a War Resolutions act limiting the president's power to further engage in Venezuela. That's a bit late. It needed 51 votes to pass. It got 52. Even if it passes the House, the president's not going to sign it, obviously. And it doesn't have a veto proof majority in the Senate. Five Senate Republicans voted in favor of it. I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast, Politics by Faith. You can listen to it anywhere you listen to your podcast. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the Day on this Wednesday. Almost every day the Trump administration does something that requires a frame of reference to understand. Tariffs, bombings, dictator interventions on and on. The American news industry is supposed to explain important stories to we the people who might not understand what the deuce is going on. Nicolas Maduro, isn't he a shortstop for the Yankees? It is unrealistic to think that regular folks can process complicated stories thousands of miles away. The media is mandated to help the people understand by reporting facts. But that is not what is happening in America. Ideology, not fact finding, is driving many in the press. In addition, a lot of reporters and pundits simply do not know very much. In short, they're not smart enough to do their jobs. President Trump removed the dictator Maduro the exact same way President Bush the elder took out Panamanian dictator Noriega in 1989. Did you hear that referenced in the news, especially the first couple of days? Not very much. And that is why the media is collapsing. The purveyors simply do not know very much about history and they don't care. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me, Bill, at billorilly.com billorilly.com name in town if you wish to opine, let's go to the mail we got. Mitchell, thanks for your incisive Venezuelan coverage, O'Reilly. I've been wondering about what's happening in Iran. Do you have any thoughts on the probability of regime change? Shaggy over there, but I can't predict one way or another. Police state is still intact. They're executing people, but it's shaky. So is Cuba. Gillian, I don't think President Obama consulted Congress before the bin Laden raid. Gillian, we love you, but you're wrong, okay? On September 14, 2001, Bush the younger went to Congress and secured the legal authority go after the 9 11, jihadist, Al Qaeda, etc. President Obama when he was elected, that transferred to him so he had the legal authority. Glenda, Anything President Trump would want to do if shared with Congress would have been leaked, which would have put our people carrying out the mission at risk. Of course, they would have even tried it. Glenda so if Trump went to Congress and said, hey, I'm going to remove Maduro, what, and then you lose all secrecy? It's so crazy. Andrew Cooper, Glastonbury, Connecticut. The US should have given Putin the Maduro treatment when he came to Alaska. He's much worse than a Venezuelan dictator. We should not be afraid if Russia threatened us with nukes. Okay, Andrew? I mean, you grabbed Putin. That opens World War three in a moment. Something you might not know. Now, the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. Three years ago, President Biden finally toured the southern border after months of mounting pressure. It was his first trip as commander in chief. Here's a story on Mr. Biden's border disaster. On his first day in office, Joe Biden, the 46th president, issued a proclamation. It was called the termination of emergency along the southern border. The order reversed all restrictions imposed during Donald Trump's first term. That decision became catastrophic. In 2020, Trump's last first term year, just 400,000 people breached the border. In 21 first year under Biden, that figure exploded to 1.6 million, then increased to 2.5 million today. Between 2019 forward, the amount of deadly fentanyl seized in Texas tripled to 25,000 pounds. The number of child sex slaves also increased 300% on Biden's watch. As a result, Joe Biden's poll numbers cratered. In December of 2022, just 35% of the public approved of his entire job performance. That figure fell to 25% for his handling of the border. To shore up some support, the White House prepared a photo op. On January 7, 2023, the President toured El Paso. Three hours later, he bolted out of there, going to Mexico City to meet with then President Obra Ador. In the end, nothing changed. It got worse. So ultimately, the voters had their say. In November 2024, Donald Trump vanquished the Democrats in both the popular and electoral vote, carried every swing state. And the hapless Kamala Harris simply could not defend Biden's border policy. That decision to open the southern border may be the worst mistake in presidential history. Beginning in his second term, Donald Trump has now closed the border, but the migrant crisis is still underway. Back in a moment. That is the weekend edition of the O'Reilly Update. This episode delivers a critical, conservative take on the week's biggest stories, particularly immigration enforcement, Iran’s unrest, limits on presidential war powers, and media shortcomings. O’Reilly underscores what he sees as failures of both the media and current (Biden) admin policy, advocating for historical context, factual accuracy, and strong government action at the border. The update uses listener mail to clarify misunderstood events and highlight perceived dangers in U.S. foreign policy decisions.
