Thanks, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. Insurrection Act, European deployment, more college fixing and a Nobel transfer. It's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, the president said, if the corrupt politicians in Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the patriots of ICE who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the Insurrection act, which many presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in the once great state. Fun fact, the Insurrection act has been invoked 30 times by 15 different presidents. The first was the terrible tyrant Thomas Jefferson in 1807. The last time was 1992. George H.W. bush at the Rodney King riots, 34 years since the last use of the Insurrection Act. That is the longest time in American history that it has not been invoked. The deputy attorney general Todd Blanch wrote to the mayor of Minneapolis and governor Minnesota, quote, I'm focused on stopping you from your terrorism by whatever means necessary. This is not a threat. It's a promise. The president of France announced that Paris will deploy troops to Greenland and a show of solidarity with Denmark as the Trump administration is trying to and will ultimately gain control of Greenland. Germany committed 13 troops. Norway will be sending two and England one. One guy, one British guy. Real show of strength from NATO. Trump said the other day of Denmark's efforts of securing Greenland, quote, I can't rely on Denmark being able to fend themselves off. They were talking about they would put an extra dog and they were serious about this. They put an extra dog sled there last month. They added a sec. They added a second dog sled. That's not going to do the trick. 17 people named in a point shaving scheme to fix games at the NC2A and also Chinese Basketball association rigging bets from September 2022 to February 2025. Former college All American Antonio Blakeney is one of the players. He himself and he also recruited other players to blow games. And the bribe Payments ranged from 10,000 to $30,000 per game. The indictment says 29 games were fixed. The Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Machado said that she presented President Trump with her Nobel Prize at their meeting yesterday. I told him, 200 years ago, General Lafayette gave Simone Bolivar a medal with George Washington's face on it. Bolivar since then kept the medal for the rest of his life. 200 years in history. The people of Bolivar are giving back to their heir of Washington a medal, in this case the medal of the Nobel Peace Prize as a recognition for his unique commitment with our freedom. The Nobel committee said the peace prize is non transferable. I'm Mike Cider from Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly is your message of the day next.

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the day. The Associated Press is really becoming a problem. The worldwide news agency sends thousands of stories to newspapers around the world, most of which print them with little scrutiny. AP executives will tell you they play it straight, seeking facts, rejecting spin. That is not true. The reality is the Associated Press wants to make the Trump administration look bad, not by directly attacking the president, but by story selection and deep skepticism. You may remember the AP was kicked out of the White House last year for slanting its coverage. They sued, but so far, the AP's still looking through the window. And here's a vivid example of why. After Border Patrol agents shot two criminal suspects in Portland, Oregon, last week, the government issued a statement saying the pair is suspected of a local shooting and are members of a violent Venezuelan gang. That is true, but the AP would not accept reality and sent out a hard news report that said, quote, evidence has been cast on the administration's characterization of what prompted the shootings. Clearly, the Associated Press sought to undermine the Trump administration in this case, and that is shameful. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me, bill@billorilly.com bill@billoriley.com name in town if you wish to opine. Okay. YouTube address. It's free. Please sign up YouTube.com Bill O'Reilly got my Minnesota commentary on there. We'll have a new one for you tomorrow. That's a good deal. It really is. It doesn't cost you anything. And we have a far different approach to YouTube than we do for our program here. All right. Let's go to the mail. We got Robert, a concierge member. Robert gets direct access to me and big insurance policy for him. Concierge Membership, Billowilly.com Robert says, I've been in law enforcement since 1979. I've seen good and bad policing, but I've never seen police refuse to back up another law enforcement officer. It's too bad the Minnesota police would not do their job and protect ice. That's true. I think that was horrible. You never saw the local cops in these confrontations. ROBERT lynn, Atlanta hate it. But this was a bad shooting. I've talked to several of my retired colleagues and the consensus is shooting was bad. I wore a uniform for decades in a big city. It doesn't mean I'm sagacious, but people say I have good judgment. De escalation would have stopped this bad shooting I don't think is fair because as I said last week, you'd have to break down a video and get in the mind of the officer before you can make that determination. Seth, longtime listener, read all your books. Confronting Evil was excellent. I'm having my 11 year old read Confronting the Presidents. He loves the cursing parrot. Andrew Jackson, Adam Parrot, very funny story. You said today that the shooting in Minneapolis happened because the Biden's immigration policy. I disagree. I do acknowledge his reckless border policy set the stage. I believe this happened because the extreme and irresponsible language the left is using. Okay, but it's a stair step. Okay, none of this would be in play. The rebellion would not be going on without Biden's dereliction of duty. I have to make these points in a broad way, in a moment. Something you might not know. Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 53 years ago, Elvis Presley hosted a live TV special. The broadcast was beamed by satellite to 36 countries around the world and soon became the most watched television event of all time. Here's the story behind Aloha from Hawaii. The king hit number one in 1956 with the song Hound Dog. Soon Elvis Presley topped the chart 18 times. After a seven year hiatus to focus on his dopey movies, Elvis wanted to get back into the recording world. So on January 14, 1973, Elvis and his band performed at the Honolulu International. Center Stage was designed to be five feet lower than normal, allowing Presley to interact with with thousands of screaming fans and scream they did. Wise men say holy food is only food. Treasure all I love High fears, Falling.

Shall I. More than 1.5 billion people watched Elvis that evening, 40% of the entire global population. Sadly, Elvis's life spiraled out of control from there on. He overdosed on drugs twice. His personal physician prescribed him 30 different medications. By 1977, the singer had gained £90, could no longer walk without a cane, slept 15 hours a day. In August of that year, Elvis Presley was found dead on his bathroom floor in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 42. Doctors ruled the cause of death a coronary, but they were misleading. Elvis Presley died from taking narcotics over a long period of time. Back in a moment. That is the weekend edition of the O'Reilly Update. I am Bill O'Reilly.
