Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Here's what's happening today in America subject to the jurisdiction thereof. A few Supreme Court wins, gas prices dropping, and it is still hot outside. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, in a, if I may, very disappointing Supreme Court decision 6 to 3, the court ruled to keep birthright citizenship in America. This is the case that the president attended the oral arguments of the first sitting president to do so. Chief Justice Roberts, who sided with the ladies, said citizenship then and now was the right to have rights to freely participate in our political community. The framers of the 14th Amendment extended that promise to every freeborn person in this land. We keep that promise today and a couple of wins. The Supreme Court did say that states can prohibit boys from competing in girls sports. This is about laws in West Virginia and Idaho that prevented boys from competing against girls. Kavanaugh said consistent with Title 9 of the equal protections clause, we hold that states may maintain women's and girls sports for biological females. And the Supreme Court decided to take up a case later in the year about state laws banning AR15s. Ten states and Washington, D.C. have bans in AR15s and it is as certain as Supreme Court cases can be that the courts will overturn those bans. Gas prices are dropping, the president wrote on Twitter. Gasoline retailers must get their prices down immediately. They're too high considering that oil is now at $68 a barrel and heading south. The retailers must quickly react to this statement and do what they know is right. Drop your price for our great American people. He told retailers to start targeting around $2.50 and that California needs to stop charging such heavy taxes. $2.50 is what gas prices were at the end of last year. Prior to that, gas prices weren't that low since 2020, when gas was 217 a gallon. Yesterday, the heat index in Chicago, 105111 in Detroit, 110 in Louisville, 106 in Little Rock, 105 in Houston. Today, heat index forecasting 108 in Detroit, 105 in Houston, 102 in New York, 104 in Philly. Extreme heat is the deadliest weather related hazard in America. At least 13,000Americans have died from heat since 2018. But worth remembering, 175,000 people in Europe die every year from the heat. So thank God for air conditioning. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

Bill O'Reilly (Message of the Day Segment)
Okay, here's a message of the day, and we appreciate you guys checking out billorily.com on a daily basis. So the rise of this communist socialist BS took me by surprise a little bit. And the genesis of it is school and parents.
Bill O'Reilly
When you are a child, you have
Bill O'Reilly (Message of the Day Segment)
to go to school. It's a law. And so at 6 years old, you march in, and if you are in an urban area, big city, chances are the school is controlled by the teacher's union, which is dramatically left, a progressive concern. Okay? So you sit down, and the teacher,
Bill O'Reilly
not all of them, but a good
Bill O'Reilly (Message of the Day Segment)
portion, are liberal people. And they're telling you things that aren't true. Not about math and science so much, but about history and your nation and all that you're listening to. It's no longer George Washington chopped down a cherry tree or anything like that. Just listen to that. And then at home, your parents have abdicated a total responsibility for your education. So you're six, you're seven. You're not getting anything from them, all right? They're on a phone or they're doing whatever they want to do. They're not shaping your point of view. And so school and parents have driven young Americans into a world of delusion. And that's the Truth.

billoriley.com name in town if you wish to opine. All right, let's go to the mail. Leland Pike Ecron, Kentucky. Bill, you said the country can't be split into two countries because of constitution. Wasn't a constitution around in 1860 when the Civil War started? Yeah, but there it was a rebellion. Okay, so the south tried to form a country. Wasn't successful. That was Jefferson Davis.
Bill O'Reilly
Okay?
Bill O'Reilly (Message of the Day Segment)
But for the north and for the United States, the Union Army. This was a rebellion. It wasn't like we were fighting the Chinese. Never reached that level. Becky Concierge member. Becky is under our protection. I agree 100% with you, Bill. People have been dumbed down so much, they do not even realize what they're voting for. Unless they're the ones who will prosper. Well, yeah, and it's a selfish society, too. Becky. We're getting more and more selfish here. No doubt about it in my mind.
Bill O'Reilly
Phil, Concierge.

Bill O'Reilly
Is there a loophole I'm aware of? No.
Bill O'Reilly (Message of the Day Segment)
He has to testify. And if he lies now, perjury, he can get prosecuted for anything. Pardon is just in the past. Okay, so if he breaks the law again, I'm convicting him. But, you know, in a moment, something

you might not know.

Now, the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. Eleven years ago today, a Mexican illegal migrant shot and killed a young woman in San Francisco. Despite overwhelming evidence, he was eventually acquitted of murder. Here is the story behind the death of Kate Steinle. On July 1, 2015, 32 year old Catherine was walking with her father along Pier 14 when she was suddenly shot dead. The gunman, a Mexican national named Jose Garcia Zarate, had been deported from the US Five times for drug crimes. He was prematurely freed from prison just three months before the shooting. During the trial, the migrants attorney claimed he accidentally fired the weapon after finding a.40 caliber pistol under a park bench. On November 30, 2017, a jury found Zarate not guilty of murder or manslaughter because, quote, he was experiencing mental illness that was not presently being treated, unquote. He was convicted of just one charge, illegal possession of a firearm. Zirate was finally removed from the USA in March 2024. It was his seventh deportation. Now, shortly after Kate's death, I proposed Kate's Law, a new law enforcement tool.
The Factor has proposed a brand new law that would stop the madness. We call it Kate's Law after Ms. Steinle and has been endorsed by her parents and brother. There are three versions of the law currently being debated in Washington, but the only one that has a chance of passing is this. Any illegal alien convicted of an aggravated felony who is deported and then returns to the USA would face a mandatory 5 year prison sentence at the very least.
My proposal was supported by 60% of the public. The heinous Senator Harry Reid blocked Kate's Law. Then Republican Mitch McConnell refused to hold a standalone vote. Instead, he attached it to a sanctuary city bill he knew would fail. To this day, I have absolutely no idea why McConnell killed state law.
Bill O'Reilly (Message of the Day Segment)
It was a travesty.
