Thank you, Bill. It is Monday, July 13, 2026. Here's what's happening today in America. Senator passes away. Another senator still alive, paramount threatens to leave. And young Washington still growing. That's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, Senator Lindsey Graham has passed away at the age of 71. The President said Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the greatest people and senators I've ever known, is dead. He was always working and was a true American patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed. So sad. President Donald J. Trump, the president said later in an interview on Meet the Press. I just can't believe it. He was like a member of the family to me. It's very tough. The vice president said Lindsey Graham came from humble beginnings and became one of the most powerful lawmakers in the most powerful nation on earth. His story was a fundamentally American one. Lindsay grew up in a single room in the back of their family owned bar and pool hall. Both of his parents died when he was 22. His sister was only 13 and he adopted her. Senator Mitch McConnell yesterday released a picture of himself for the first time in a rehab facility, dressed, sitting up. In a statement, he said he was briefly unconscious around the time he was first taken to the hospital, but he's undergone a battery of tests to try to determine what led to his fall. Why be silent for the last four weeks? He said. Folks of my generation often hesitate to share the vulnerability that comes with growing older. Even in the public eye. I feel that same instinct. I can't help it. Paramount might be moving their corporate headquarters out of California and reallocating most of their $30 billion in planned spending outside of the state. This is a sort of protest to the attorney general of California, Rob Bonta, who is suing Paramount to stop the merger between Paramount and Warner Brothers. Most of Hollywood's already out of Hollywood at this point. Paramount wouldn't be alone. Other businesses, other industries leaving as well. Chevron, Oracle, Tesla, all moved to Texas in recent years. In other Hollywood news, I've never recommended or even talked about a movie here before, but please go see young Washington in the theaters. Do not wait. It was spectacular $20 million budget, but as of Friday, domestic gross of 28.8 million. And thank goodness a sequel is already in the works about Washington's role during the Revolutionary War. But it is going to be tough to beat the production value and the story and the incredible acting of this first one, please go see it asap. Young Washington in a theater near you. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly, America's number one nonfiction author of all time, with your message of the day next

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the Day. On this Monday, I'm thinking about Greenland to the north. Last week, President Trump met with NATO leaders in Turkey. The international alliance is now pledging more money for defense resources and munitions to help fight Putin in Ukraine. Mr. Trump pretty much got what is most important. The press will never give him credit, but it's the truth. Since his first term, Mr. Trump has convinced the Europeans and Canada to increase military spending by $1.2 trillion. That's a big deal. But back to Greenland. Earlier this year, I put forth that a deal can be made with the Danes who own the island nation. It was similar to Panama when President Trump saber rattled that American troops might have to run the canal. Well, that didn't happen because Panama made a deal with the USA and President Trump that has benefited both countries. However, at this point, the Greenland endeavor is still causing trouble with NATO. They do not want President Trump seizing that territory. So in my opinion, a president should celebrate his overseas NATO victory. Take the win, deal with Greenland later. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billoriley.com bill@billorilly.com Name in town. If you wish to opine now, let's go to the mail. BOB actor, LA you keep referring to the Democratic Party as the Democratic Party. Why? There's nothing democratic about it, in my opinion. Well, Bob, if you want to rewrite history, that's up to you. But when the Democratic Party was founded, okay, Thomas Jefferson, it was the Democratic Party. Maureen, Great column, Bill. Many people believe their rights come from the government, not from God. How sad is that? My column, God vs. Communism, this posted yesterday Sunday. We hope you read it. And you know, if you have younger people, you got, they don't know. That's why I wrote the column. You guys say, look, this is like a five minute read here. You'll learn a lot. A lot of times they don't care to learn. But what are you going to do? David Carvin, Lumberton, N.J. just watched the ceremony interview, one of the most interviews yet with great insight to the world of politics and a great follow up to Victor Davis Hansen. I can't wait to see what you have on next. Neither can I. Decisions sometimes are made at the last minute. But we're doing, as I said, really well with that, thanks to you. But it's free. Come on, let's get out. So, all right. We want you to get the hats. Now, this isn't last call for the hats. Probably Friday will be Fourth of July. You want them? This is the best hat you'll ever have. And it'll be there forever. Okay, so billorilly.com store has it in a moment. Something you might not know. Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. Since its founding 2,000 years ago, the Catholic Church has played a major role in European politics. The Roman Empire, Middle Ages, Renaissance, on and on. The 20th century was no different. In July 1949, the church issued a formal decree against the growing communist threat, even excommunicating any Catholic who supported the doctrine. Here's the story behind the Vatican's fight against Marxism. After World War II, the Soviet Union and its satellite countries began a violent crackdown against all religion, particularly Catholicism. Stalin believed the church sided with Nazi Germany during the war. Pope Pius XII asked for support from France, the UK And Italy, but all refused to enter Spain. Seed the Cold War had begun. Finally, the Vatican published the decree in its official newspaper stating practicing Catholics can no longer join the Communist Party or even read Marxist material. Said the pontiff, quote, should Christians who profess, defend or promote materialistic communist doctrine incur the penalty of excommunication? Yes, unquote. There was one notable exception. The church forgave Christians who were forced to vote for the Communist Party out of fear only those who believed in the doctrine would be denied the sacraments. On July 13, the New York Times called the pope's decision a sweeping decree marking the latest Vatican step in the worldwide struggle against communism. And here's something else you might not know. Today, communism in America is more popular than at any time since the early 20th century. According to a survey from YouGov, more than a third of Gen Z and millennials have a favorable opinion of Marxism. That number falls to just 7% for folks over the age of 60. Back in a moment. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. I am Bill O'Reilly. No spin, just facts. And always looking out for you.
