Mike Slater
Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. Send in the troops. The lefts spin two still on the loose and the entire committee retired. It's all coming up. And Bill's gonna be here with your message today. But first, we reported Yesterday on the 2000 members of the California National Guard who have been activated by the President. Only 300 have been deployed to the streets of LA so far because they happened to be on their routine National Guard drill that weekend when they were mobilized. It could take up to 72 hours to mobilize guardsmen. But Pete Hegseth, our secretary of defense, said due to increased threats to federal law enforcement officers in federal buildings, a approximately 700 active duty US Marines from Camp Pendleton are being deployed to Los Angeles to restore order. We have an obligation to defend federal law enforcement officers even if Gavin Newsom will not. Maybe the highlight of the news media spin so far comes from an ABC7 local LA anchor who said it could turn violent if you move law enforcement in there the wrong way and turn what is just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn into a massive confrontation. The spin from the Democrats during all this right now is that this is the beginning of Trump's civil war on all of America. The argument from Democrats is that Trump fanned the flames of the of this rioting that Dana Bash on CNN said Trump's the real arsonist. So he fanned the flames and then federalized the National Guard and he's gonna go into every other state and do the same thing. Gavin Newsom said that's why he's suing the federal government. He said this is an unmistakable step towards authoritarianism. The girlfriend of one of the two remaining inmates who broke out of that New Orleans jail last month, she's been arrested for allegedly helping his escape. Over a dozen people have been arrested so far, including the jail maintenance worker who's accused of shutting off the water to the toilet, which allowed the escapees to remove it. The reward for the two remaining has been increased to $50,000. One of the escapees was convicted last year of two counts of second degree murder. He was facing life in prison. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Said he is removing every member of a government panel that makes vaccine recommendations. Kennedy said he's retiring all 17 members of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, asserting has become little more than a rubber stamp for any vaccine. He said a clean sweep is needed to reestablish public confidence in vaccine science. Senator Bill Cassidy was the main senator against RFK Jr's appointment. He said he now fears that this committee will be filled up with people who know nothing about vaccines except suspicion. I'm Mike Slater from Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly with your message of the day. Next.
Bill O'Reilly
Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the Day on this Tuesday. In order to understand the Trump Musk dust up, you have to understand the world of power as well as the pursuit of it. Extremely complicated scenarios. In my book Confronting the Presidents, we vividly portray how all 45 men dealt with power. Most struggled with it because extreme discipline is needed to stay grounded in the real world. Abraham Lincoln handled it. So did George Washington. But others like Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon allowed themselves to misuse their authority. Both President Trump and Elon Musk live in worlds where they call all the shots. There are a few personal constraints on folks who have vast wealth and influence. But when the powerful step out of their self constructed bubbles, things can go south in a hurry. The cliche is staying in your own lane. Mr. Musk took a risky u turn by hammering the president's tax and spend bill. The richest man in the world did not have to do that publicly, but he did. Donald Trump's reaction was predictable on every level. He expects loyalty from those in the administration. All presidents do. Also, he badly needs the bill to be passed so taxes don't automatically rise. That would likely lead to recession dooming the president in the midterms. Therefore, the proposed bill is vital to Donald Trump's legacy. An attack on it is an attack on him. That is the world of power. It is doubtful that Elon Musk understood that and thus the situation rapidly got out of control. Not easy being in those neighborhoods. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billorilly.com, billorilly.com name in town if you wish to opine. Let's go to the mail. We got Tony Willingham, Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Can you explain the Trump must fiasco? I think Musk has a point. You know I don't. I'm not taking sides. Yeah, if you read my column and you read my message, I explain it. Tony, there you go. Every part of it is explained. Colleen Kavanaugh, killings Worth, Connecticut. You think must attack on Trump is a sign of a possible run for president in the future? No, I do not. Not going to run for office here. He's born in South Africa, so he can't be president. Ron unfortunately, this spat has diminished both of these fellows in my mind. Perhaps that was my fault for elevating them in the first place. You know, I respect opinions on on the situation, but I don't really not involved in it. This does not apply directly to you, Patricia. China's important. Same for Israel, Iran, America and Yes, World War 3. Musk and Trump disagreement should remain between the two of them. Bigger problems exist. That's logical. Libby Tubby, Lindy Tubby, North Las Vegas, you and your son did a stellar job representing the USA during the China trip. Thank you. The reason for this email to please use whatever influence you have to convince the president to halt the food fight with Musk. No, I'm not going to get involved. I got important things to talk about with President Trump. I'm not involved in that. Why would I do that? David Bryant, Seneca, S.C. today, June 7, 2025, President Trump ordered National Guard into California commander in chief. He should have done the same thing before January 6th. I think you learned a lesson. Joseph Bauman, Jefferson, Georgia. I watched your YouTube video on Christiane Amanpour. Think the left will ever come back to reality? No, I do not. I don't think you can get away. I think that Trump derangement stuff will stay with them forever In a moment. Something you might not know. Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. This week, President Trump is resurrecting a controversial policy from his first term, the so called travel ban. The new policy bans entry for most citizens from 12 countries. Here's a quick rundown for those now considered Persona non grata in the usa. Haiti the failed nation is overrun with drug smugglers, gangs, human traffickers. Capital city Port au Prince, launching point for narcotics entering North America. Afghanistan. Too many ties to terrorism there. Iran, the biggest terrorist state in the world. Yemen, home to the Houthi rebels, the Islamic militants that attack American and Israeli targets in the region. Myanmar country has been embroiled by Civil War since 1948. Ethnic violence rampant, no central authority Chad, Somalia, Libya, Congo, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan, Trump administration claims all those African nations have no adequate screening process to stop terrorists and criminals from entering the United States. And that's true. The travel ban also applies to seven more countries where access to the USA is limited but not suspended completely. Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela. In total, 475 million people around the world are now restricted from coming to America. And here's something else you might not know. Despite the travel ban, entry is still permitted for many travelers. Exemptions exist for green card holders, those working in the USA, dual citizens, individuals with family members in America, diplomats, athletes competing here, and political refugees. The asylum system still exists, even though it was abused by President Biden. Predictably, Mr. Trump's critics say the policy is another example of his racism. According to the White House, the ban will, quote, protect U.S. citizens from aliens who intend to commit terrorist acts, threaten our security, and, and espouse hateful ideology, unquote. You can make your own decision on the travel ban. I have no problem with it. Back after this. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. No spin, just facts. And always looking out for you, SA.

Overview of the Travel Ban
President Trump has revived a contentious policy reminiscent of his first-term travel ban, now restricting entry for most citizens from 12 countries. The ban targets nations with significant security concerns, including Haiti, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Myanmar, Chad, Somalia, Libya, Congo, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan.
Affected Countries and Rationale:
Additionally, the ban places restrictions on seven more countries—Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela—limiting but not entirely suspending their access to the United States.
Total Impact: The policy affects approximately 475 million people globally, restricting their ability to enter America.
Exemptions: Despite the broad restrictions, exemptions exist for green card holders, individuals working in the U.S., dual citizens, those with family ties in America, diplomats, athletes, and political refugees. The asylum system remains operational, though it has been criticized for abuse under previous administrations.
Criticism and Justifications:
Critics, particularly Trump's opponents, argue that the travel ban is rooted in racism. In contrast, the White House defends the policy by stating it aims to "protect U.S. citizens from aliens who intend to commit terrorist acts, threaten our security, and espouse hateful ideology."
Notable Quote:
