Thank you, Bill. It is Friday, June 12, 2026. Here's what's happening today in America. Strikes called off SpaceX to the moon or Mars. JD Vance with the ladies and Team USA plays tonight. It's all coming up and Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, as after saying that Iran will be hit very hard, President Trump said he has, quote, canceled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran. He said he did this after discussions with Iran that involved the highest level of Iranian leadership. He said discussions and final points have been in both concept and great detail approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, uae, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and others. The president said the naval blockade will remain in full force and effect until this transaction is finalized. Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly. ABC News reported that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu was surprised by President Trump's social media post about an imminent deal and that they were not looped into the approval process. SpaceX gone public. A valuation of $1.75 trillion, the largest IPO of all time by far. Musk will be a trillionaire wealthiest person by far. The second richest man alive is Larry Page at a measly 291 billion. I mean, come on. That's Elon said he plans to have a colony of humans on Mars by 2050. Part of owning SpaceX. You also own Starlink, that's his satellite Internet company. And also X, formerly Twitter and Xai. JD Vance gonna be spending a little bit of time with the ladies on the View. He has a new book, Communion Finding My Way Back to Faith, but I doubt that will be talked about much. This episode will air on Tuesday, June 16. The World cup has kicked off. Mexico beats South Africa in the very first game down in Mexico City. Today, Canada plays Bosnia in Toronto. That's at 3:00 Eastern. And the big game, USA versus Paraguay in Los Angeles, 9:00 Eastern. You can watch it on Fox and also for free on Tubi. This is Paraguay's first World cup since 2010. But to get here, they beat Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil, couple powerhouses there. America's next game is against Australia next Friday in Seattle. We'll see if they can capture the hearts of America like the team USA hockey team. Also Sunday night is the big UFC fight at the White House. Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the Day on this Friday. Here's an interesting question. Can President Trump reignite momentum for himself and his party? It all centers on Iran. Americans are disappointed across the board. The president time and again has said he had the situation in Iran under control. That is not true. It's not that Iran is winning the conflict. They are not. But now we have 4.3% inflation worldwide. That's a victory for the mullahs. And that means they'll probably hold out more to see if inflation gets worse because everyone on the planet is harmed by that. Now, I believe President Trump is going to take military action. I could be wrong. I don't have inside information. But he has got to break the defiance of the people running Iran. And the only way to do it at this point is using the military. And that can get very, very messy with civilian deaths, with the Muslim movement, all of that. But I can't see another way to go about this. The president has to reignite his power. He has got to face down Iran. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billorilly.com, billorilly.com, name in town if you wish to opine. Now, let's go to the mail. Glen Rich Creek, Fairfax, Virginia. I spent 45 minutes on a hot summer day stopped in traffic so President Obama could drive to a business meeting to give a speech. All presidents do this. All of them do it. That's all. I can have a say. John Arminger, Woodbine, Maryland. I recently read a quote from a famed Irish poet, Oscar Wilde. Thought of you, O'Reilly. Wilde said, quote, you can never be overdressed or over educated. You, sir, are the best dressed celebrity and the one that is best educated. Well done. I don't know about best educated. You know, we like to be traditionally dressed here. In the beginning when I started the no Spin news, we did Axel poll. You want me casual in the sweatshirt and you know, like all these people, I have enough clothes to do that. Or do you want the traditional look? And by far our views wanted traditional. So you got it. As far as educated, I spent a lot of money, my education. Reynolds Dickinson, Atlanta, Michigan. Bill, who's responsible for the improper intelligence regarding the Iran war? I don't know if I call it improper. We'll see what the sit reps were, but that would be the American CIA and the Israeli intelligence, Mossad. They are the gatherers of information. Jack Conover, St. Charles, Missouri. I'm a fan of President Trump. I must say he's being played by the Iranians and looking stupid. Most people I know believe that Iran will never give up its uranium and President Trump must know this, too. Be careful with that. This thing's going to happen. So Monday morning quarterbacking is easy in a moment, something you might not know.

Now, the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 361 years ago today, European settlers on the island of Manhattan formally changed the name of a small village at the southern tip of Manhattan. Going forward, the new town would be known as New York, not New Amsterdam. Here is the story behind America's biggest city. Starting in the 1620s, Lower Manhattan was used as a trading outpost for the Dutch West India Company, one of the most powerful corporations in the world. The small village at the tip of Manhattan was infamous for its debauchery. Town had fewer than 1,000 residents. Between March and September, that figure swelled to 10,000 as visitors poured in, primarily drunken sailors, slavers and Native American traders. The village became an attractive location for other European powers, mainly the British, who had outposts in nearby Connecticut and long Island. In 1664, the English seized New Amsterdam without firing a shot. The town was officially renamed New York City on June 12, 1665. And here's something else you might not know. New Amsterdam was also a popular destination for pirates of the Caribbean. Buccaneers used the Dutch settlement to evade the English navy. After the British seized the city, they immediately began hanging pirates at a spot called Execution Dock, which is still there today. It is known as Wall Street. Now, New York City has a rough and tumble reputation because it was the main entry point for immigrants coming to America legally through Ellis Island. And now the city is home to eight and a half million people. Estimates are half of them foreign born. Back in a moment. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. I am Bill O'Reilly. No spin, just facts. And always looking out for you.
