Bill O'Reilly here you are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thanks, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. Strikes called off SpaceX to the moon or Mars. JD Vance with the ladies and Team USA plays tonight. It's all coming up and Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, after saying that Iran will be hit very hard, President Trump said he has, quote, canceled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran. He said he did this after discussions with Iran that involved the highest level of Iranian leadership. He said discussions and final points have been in both concept and great detail approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, uae, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and others. The president said the naval blockade will remain in full force and effect until this transaction is finalized. Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly. ABC News reported that the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu was surprised by President Trump's social media post about an imminent deal and that they were not looped into the approval process. SpaceX gone public. A valuation of $1.75 trillion, the largest IPO of all time by far. Musk will be a trillionaire wealthiest person by far the second richest man alive is Larry Page at a measly 291 billion. I mean, come on, that's Elon said he plans to have a colony of humans on Mars by 2050, part of owning SpaceX. You also own Starlink, that's his satellite Internet company. And also X, formerly Twitter, and Xai. JD Vance gonna be spending a little bit of time with the ladies on the View. He has a new book, communion finding My Way Back to Faith. But I doubt that will be talked about much. This episode will air on Tuesday, June 16. The World cup has kicked off. Mexico beats South Africa in the very first game down in Mexico City today, Canada plays Bosnia in Toronto. That's at 3:00 Eastern. And the big game, USA versus Paraguay in Los Angeles, 9:00 Eastern. You can watch it on Fox and also for free on Tubi. This is Paraguay's first World cup since 2010, but to get here, they beat Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil, couple powerhouses there. America's next game is against Australia next Friday in Seattle. We'll see if they can capture the hearts of America like the Team USA hockey team. Also Sunday night is the big UFC fight at the White House. The big fight is American Justin Gaethje versus the Spanish Georgian from Germany, Ilya Topuria. First fight is at four. Big fight is at eight o'. Clock.

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the day.
The Justice Department has launched an investigation into California's chaotic voting procedures, and Democrats are not happy about it. In fact, Sacramento will not comply with the U.S. attorney's request for information. The Constitution gives each state the power to regulate voting. That's because James Madison and the boys did not want a powerful federal government bullying states to vote a certain way. However, the feds have oversight to make sure states do not allow cheating. The progressive left and its media enablers are screaming that charges of fraud in California are, quote, baseless. But how would they know there hasn't been an investigation? A phony assessment of California's voting standards is baseless. Reality is another matter. Now, I have no evidence there was fraud in the Golden State. Here's what I do know. You can register to vote on Election Day itself in California with little or no documentation that you are a resident or even a citizen of the country. Anyone can collect mail in votes and take them to county offices in sacks or packages. Undocumented folks can get California driver's licenses. They then use to register to vote. The deadline to have your vote counted in California a week after Election day.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me, Bill, at billoriley.com billorilly.com name in town if you wish to opine.

you something you might not no. 334 years ago, one of the darkest periods in American history began in colonial Massachusetts. Religious hysteria destroyed hundreds of families and claimed the lives of at least 20 innocent people. Here is the story of the Salem witch trials. The fear of witchcraft gripped Europe during the Dark Ages. The terror then spread to North America in the 17th century. In February 1690, two young girls in Salem began suffering what they said were fits. The children accused three villagers of practicing a Caribbean slave named Tichoba, Sarah Good, a homeless beggar, and Sarah Osborne, an elderly woman. Eventually, dozens were put on trial. The youngest just four years old, she implicated her own mother. Upon questioning during the proceedings, the townsfolks would shriek, faint and scream profanities. The methods used to detect the devil were bizarre. Some were dunked in ice cold water, then burned with a metal cross. In the end, most people confessed to avoid torture. The first alleged witch, Bridget Bishop, was hanged on June 10, 1692. The entire frenzy lasted two years. 200 people were tried for witchcraft, 30 found guilty, 20 executed. The governor of Massachusetts finally stopped the madness when his own wife was accused of devil worship. And here's something else you might not know. The hunt for Satanists was not confined to New England. The worst witch hunt in history occurred in Central Europe during the Protestant Reformation. Religious factions waged war for control of Germany and France. Each side accused the other of doing the devil's business. Between 1500 and 1700, more than 200,000 so called witches were executed in Europe, 90% women. For more harrowing stories about Salem, please read my book, Killing the Witches. Back in a moment.

The episode blends fast-paced, “no spin” headlines with O’Reilly’s characteristic skepticism and direct commentary. The message is clear: media narratives often obscure underlying realities, particularly on politically charged issues such as election security. Rich in historical allusion and pointed critique, the episode underscores the importance of critical thinking, vigilance in public affairs, and an eye on both the past and future.
Listeners are left with O’Reilly’s cautionary perspective on voting integrity, an encouragement to avoid media echo chambers, and a history lesson on the dangers of mass hysteria—reinforcing his mantra: No Spin. Just Facts.
