Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. Democrats stuck to their seats. Zelinsky caves third in the Pentagon and the final mission. That's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, Donald Trump's joint session of Congress speech. His he said America is back. The highlights were DJ the 13 year old with brain cancer who was made a Secret Service agent gave the head of the Secret Service a big hug. The young man who was granted acceptance to West Point, of course, the mother and sister of Lake and Riley and the mother of Jocelyn Nungare, both killed by illegal aliens. Also, Corey Compatore's family was there. And Democrats didn't stand and applaud for any of this. Didn't Mark Vogel, the the American who was just released from Russian captivity, him and his 95 year old mom, dad. Democrats didn't stand and applaud that Trump announced that the terrorists behind the Abbey Gate bombing that killed 13American service members. He was apprehended coming back to America's in route last night during the speech. Democrats didn't applaud that either. CBS News poll right after the speech found the 76% approved, 23% disapproved. Of course, we all remember the meeting in the Oval Office with President Zelensky. Well, Zelensky wrote on X a long post, a couple highlights. He said, I would like to reiterate Ukraine's commitment to peace. We are ready to work fast to end the war. He later said we really do value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with javelins. We are grateful for this. Our meeting in Washington at the White House on Friday did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It's time to make things right regarding the agreement on minerals and security. Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any convenient format. The Senate had a hearing on Elbridge Colby. He goes by bridge. This is in the Senate Armed Services Committee. His post is under Secretary of Defense for Policy. This is the third highest position in the Pentagon. Colby has two main beliefs. One is that we are perhaps over committed in Europe and the Middle east and instead we need to put some more focus on Asia and we don't have the resources to do that now. The left characterizes that as a retreat from Europe as opposed to just a refocusing on where the threats around the world are at the moment. So one of his goals is to rebuild our manufacturing base. Almost all of our ships are manufactured in South Korea. To look at a map, you can see how easily that would be blocked off by China. Linda McMahon has been confirmed as the next secretary of the Department of Education. Trump said her mission is to put herself out of a job. Linda McMahon called the department of Education's momentous final mission, its final elimination. I'm Mike Slater for the podcast Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly with your message of the day.

History often follows a pattern of behavior, such as Republicans seeking smaller government while Democrats want a larger federal footprint in order to mitigate societal wrongs. In modern times, the American left usually opposes war, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, just to cite a few examples. But now it is the left that is castigating President Trump for pursuing a realistic ceasefire deal in Ukraine. It's obvious that Putin is not going to stop murdering people unless he gets a deal that makes him look good. So Trump is patronizing Bad Vlad and many liberals are braying criticism because of it. Remember, Ho Chi Minh was as evil as they come, but Jane Fonda and her crew loved Uncle Ho. It was the USA that was the villain in Southeast Asia. Putin is Min's soulmate, but the left despises Vlad and apparently wants to continue a brutal, unwinnable conflict in Ukraine while it wanted out of Vietnam at any cost. It's all about Trump, of course. Whatever he does is worse than anything anybody else does. If the president wants Zelensky to lighten up on Vlad in order to stop the bloodshed, the left will find a way to oppose that so it can criticize Trump. That's the country in which we all live. Emotion and partisan politics rule. Putin loves this. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billo reilly.com billorilly.com name in town if you wish to opine. Here's the mail. Pat. There is no excuse for Trump advance last Friday. There was no Zelensky insult. Trump advance engineered that. I saw the whole thing, not just the edited versions. I respectfully disagree. I don't think Trump and Vance engineered anything. I don't think they like Zelinsky. That's true. But they wanted the deal and they wanted to have lunch. And I can back my statement up, Mick. Trump advised Alinsky. Oh, I'm sorry. Democrats advise Alinsky to make demands when he met with Trump, knowing that would blow up the deal. You got any evidence of that, Mick? Got to send me the evidence because I don't know of one thing to back up your statement. And I've looked not one. Bill@Bill O'Reilly.com Bill@Billow Reilly.com I already know your name in town, so you don't have to do that. Send me your backup for saying the Democrats told Zelinsky to blow the deal up. Yes, yes, very good. No wonder you're a concierge. Remember, David, he went in there trying to get something in writing that says the USA is going to come in if Putin does anything untoward after the deal. America's not going to do that. You're absolutely right. Gee, in a moment, something you might not know. President Trump's victory is a win for America. That's what most voters think. Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. Saturday Night Live recently celebrated its 50th anniversary on NBC. The televised special featured both current stars and members of the original cast. Not in attendance was the late John Belushi. 43 years ago today, the comedian was found dead inside a Hollywood hotel. Here is the story. Bellucci became a household name after starring on SNL and doing all kinds of pratfalls, getting massive amount attention. Then he did Animal House. But it was SNL that really catapulted him. Hayner exclaimed. Hayner exclaimed, let's boil. Let's boil. The Wolverines.

Next. Live from New York, it's Saturday night. Unfortunately, John Belushi's wild antics and high energy were fueled by cocaine and alcohol. On March 5, 1982, John's personal trainer found the actor dead inside that hotel room. He died from a drug overdose. Police at first tried to cover up for the actor, labeling the cause of death a heart attack. His friends claimed he choked on room service, but it was a combination of cocaine and heroin that killed him. John Belushi, just 33 years old. Notably absent from SNL's recent special was Belushi's friend and cohort, Dan Aykroyd, who watched the event from his home in Canada. Ackroyd has never really explained his relationship with John Belushi in great detail. And he did not explain his absence from the SNL special. And here's something else you might not know. John Belushi is not the only SNL alum who died young. Some believe there is a Saturday Night Live curse. Since its debut in 1975, more than 15 cast members have suffered premature death from drugs, cancer, even murder. The grim list includes Belushi, John Candy, Phil Hartman, Gilda Radner, Norm MacDonald, Chris Farley, Andy Kaufman. Quite a crew, all dying young. Back after this, we finally beat Medicare. He's right. He did beat Medicaid. Beat it to death.

Joe Biden's legacy for seniors. He raided Medicare, made premiums skyrocket, and drove up drug costs. Worse, the Biden pill penalty is already slashing the development of affordable drugs, forcing seniors to pay the price of Biden's failed policy. Biden broke Medicare, but President Trump can fix it. Call Congress and urge them to end the Biden pill penalty.
