Also, Corey Compatore's family was there. And Democrats didn't stand and applaud for any of this. Didn't Mark Vogel, the the American who was just released from Russian captivity, him and his 95 year old mom, dad. Democrats didn't stand and applaud that Trump announced that the terrorists behind the Abbey Gate bombing that killed 13American service members. He was apprehended coming back to America's in route last night during the speech. Democrats didn't applaud that either. CBS News poll right after the speech found the 76% approved, 23% disapproved. Of course, we all remember the meeting in the Oval Office with President Zelensky. Well, Zelensky wrote on X a long post, a couple highlights. He said, I would like to reiterate Ukraine's commitment to peace. We are ready to work fast to end the war. He later said we really do value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with javelins. We are grateful for this. Our meeting in Washington at the White House on Friday did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It's time to make things right regarding the agreement on minerals and security. Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any convenient format. The Senate had a hearing on Elbridge Colby. He goes by bridge. This is in the Senate Armed Services Committee. His post is under Secretary of Defense for Policy. This is the third highest position in the Pentagon. Colby has two main beliefs. One is that we are perhaps over committed in Europe and the Middle east and instead we need to put some more focus on Asia and we don't have the resources to do that now. The left characterizes that as a retreat from Europe as opposed to just a refocusing on where the threats around the world are at the moment. So one of his goals is to rebuild our manufacturing base. Almost all of our ships are manufactured in South Korea. To look at a map, you can see how easily that would be blocked off by China. Linda McMahon has been confirmed as the next secretary of the Department of Education. Trump said her mission is to put herself out of a job.
