Thank you, bill. It's Thursday, March 6, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. TRUMP Final warning, border update, VA cuts and terrorist caught. It's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, President Trump wrote on truth social Shalom, Hamas means hello and goodbye. You can choose release all the hostages now, not later, and immediately return all the dead bodies of the people you murdered or it is over for you. Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted. I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job. Not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don't do as I say. I have just met with your former hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning for the leadership. Now is the time to leave Gaza, but you still have a chance. Also, to the people of Gaza, a beautiful future awaits, but not if you hold hostages. If you do, you are dead. Make a smart decision. Release the hostages now or there will be hell to pay later. Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America The Vice President J.D. vance, Pete Hegseth and Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, met at the border in Eagle Pass, Texas. They arrived the day after Trump imposed that 25% tariff on nearly everything imported from Mexico. The vice president said. What the president said is we need a sustained commitment from the government of Mexico to take the job of border security seriously. Fentanyl is the single largest cause of death among young Americans. He explained how the precursors come from China and then are manufactured in Mexico and brought across the border by the cartels. JD Said, we are going to apply as much leverage as possible to the Mexican government. The head of the va, Doug Collins, said that Veterans affairs is planning on cutting 15% of their workforce. It's about 72,000 employees, he said. We regret anyone who loses their job. And it's extraordinarily difficult for me as a VA leader and your secretary to make these types of decisions. But the federal government does not exist to employ people. It exists to serve people. Collins also said the agency will save $900 million from nearly 600 canceled non mission critical contracts. Mohammed Sarafula, the terrorist behind the 2021 Abby Gates suicide bombing at the airport in Kabul during the Afghanistan Withdra, has been caught and extradited to the United States. Donald Trump announced this in the middle of a State of the Union address that this terrorist was in route as he spoke. This attack killed 13American service members and 170 Afghans. The new director of the CIA said he shared intel with Pakistan who worked with America to capture and extradite the terrorist. This attack, of course, happened when Joe Biden was president. He vowed revenge for the attack. He said, we will not forgive, we will not forget. We will will hunt you down and make you pay. The current CIA director gave this intel to Pakistan on his second day on the job. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day.

Next we finally beat Medicare.
Mike Slater
Was right.
Bill O'Reilly
He did beat Medicare. He beat it to death.
Unnamed Speaker (possibly a political commentator)
Joe Biden's legacy for seniors. He raided Medicare, made premiums skyrocket and drove up drug costs. Worse, the Biden pill penalty is already slashing the development of affordable drugs, forcing seniors to pay the price of Biden's failed policy. Biden broke Medicare, but President Trump can fix it. Call Congress and urge them to end the Biden pill penalty.

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the day on this Thursday. President Trump's record breaking speech this week had some history in it. Longest congressional address ever. Taunting his opposition. That was unusual. And warning a foreign country, Panama, that is going to lose some of its territory to the USA was unprecedented. @ least Trump is giving Greenland a say in its destiny. I guess Overall, if Mr. Trump's promises turn out to be true, he will assemble quite a legacy. But that's a huge if the most entertaining display on Tuesday evening was watching Democrats try to out loathe each other. When it came to the president, I almost laughed out loud when Mr. Trump said Pocahontas wants the Ukrainian war to go on for five more years. Cut to Senator Elizabeth Warren laughing and waving. Bizarre. Varied. President Trump says his administration will bring peace and prosperity. That woke is finished, that common sense will rule. As an American, I hope all of that comes true. But even if it does, I know one thing. Pocahontas and her tribe will not like it. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billoriley.com, billoriley.com name in town. If you wish to opine, let's go to the mail. William, Democrats have shown their true colors by voting against the Women in Sports Protection Act. Only two Democrats voted for it. Absolutely true. If you are okay with that. And that woman last night, Peyton, I'll never forget her brain injury from this. And you're still supporting that wow, Maureen, someone enlightened me. How are Democrats blocking the no men in sports if the GOP has both the Senate and House majority? Because in the Senate you cannot advance a bill to the floor unless you get 60 votes. It's different from the House. That's the rules. Paul. Dr. Paul Befanis, Itapena, Brazil Are the administrators effort to engage Putin in peace talks leading us toward appeasement? No, I don't think it's appeasement. It's stop, stop. I don't think that Putin's going to get a car to do other bad stuff. I could be wrong. They want to stop it at this point in history. Robert SLANEY, Port Washington, NY Today's World, does the USA need to be a member of NATO? Yeah, we need support against the bad guys. Irene Donald Bedford, Mexico I live in Baja and I see the heightened presence by Mexican army. I'm not sure what it means. It means that finally the Mexican government is trying to stop some of the migration. I don't think they're stopping the drug traffic, but they're trying to stop the migration because they're afraid of Trump. Irene Be safe down there. It isn't safe. Jason V's Katori, Japan I have to wonder why President Zelenskyy did not choose to use an interpreter while speaking to President Trump. I thought it was an unwritten rule that foreign dignitaries do that. No, Zelensky speaks English fairly well. He didn't need to interpret him. In a moment, something you might not know. Over the span of two decades, the journalist had earned his nickname, the most Trusted man in America. Here is the story of Walter Cronkite. Born November 1916 in Missouri, the broadcaster began his career reporting from Europe during World War II. He covered the 1952 and 56 presidential elections, then the Olympic Games. Cronkite took over as the CBS anchor in April 1962. For the next 19 years, he delivered the news during some of the most significant events in American history. Cuban missile crisis, assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, the lunar landing, war in Vietnam, Watergate. Uncle Walter, as he was known, relinquished the anchor's chair at the age of 65, but only because CBS mandated retirement at that age. He later told me in an interview that handing the anchor chair to Dan Rather was a mistake. Cronkite said he should have fought harder to keep the job for a few more years. On March 6, 1981, Cronkite said goodbye.
Walter Cronkite
This is my last broadcast as the anchorman of the CBS Evening News. For me, it's a moment for which I long have planned, but which nevertheless comes with some sadness. For almost two decades, after all, we've been meeting like this in the evenings, and I'll miss that. But those who have made anything of this departure, I'm afraid, have made too much. This is but a transition, a passing of the baton. A great broadcaster and gentleman, Doug Edwards, preceded me in this job. And another Dan Rather, will follow.
Bill O'Reilly
Walter Cronkite remained in public life, writing a syndicated column, hosting the Kennedy Center Honors. He died in 2009 at the age of 92. And here's something else you might not know. Despite his serious reputation, Cronkite often made appearances on entertainment programs throughout the years. He can be seen on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Murphy Brown, another comedy, the Simpsons. Walter also makes a brief appearance in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Cronkite. Walter Cronkite, back after this.

Hey, I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast called Politics by Faith. We have a very simple mission. We take the news of the day and we filter it through a biblical worldview. So here's the big story of the day. What does the Bible say about it and how can we apply it? It's amazing. There's nothing new under the sun. The Bible has something to say about everything that's going on today. So basically, we thumped the Bible over on Politics by Faith. I think we ought to keep MAGA going. And I think the way to take it beyond just a political victory into a true rebuilding and awakening and revival in America is to make sure that this is all grounded in biblical principles. And that's what we do on the podcast Politics by Faith. And you can subscribe to Politics by Faith wherever you're listening to the show right now.

He outlined the administration's strategy to leverage Mexico into enhancing border security, aiming to disrupt the flow of narcotics manufactured in Mexico from Chinese precursors.

Speaker: Donald J. Trump

During his State of the Union address, President Trump announced the extradition of Mohammed Sarafula, the mastermind behind the 2021 Kabul airport bombing that resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members and 170 Afghans.
