Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. American released P. Diddy on trial, prime minister cracking down on borders and Air Force One from Qatar. That's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, the final American who was held by Hamas has been released. He's been in captivity since October 7, 2023. He was transferred by way of the Red cross to the IDF. He's 21 years old. He called his mom as soon as he was in the IDF convoy. There's pictures of his mom, can't imagine how she's feeling crying on the phone with her son and Steve Witkoff standing right by her. He is the special envoy to the Middle East. Mom said to her son, you are strong. You are protected by you are home. The opening argument of the Sean Combs P. Diddy trial has begun. He's 55 years old now, major rap artist mogul from the 90s and 2000s, accused of sex trafficking by force, transportation to engage in prostitution and racketeering conspiracy. He's accused of being the ringleader of an alleged enterprise that abused, threatened and coerced women into prolonged drug fueled evenings with male prostitutes which he called freak offs and then threatened them into silence. He says that all of this was consensual. The jury's made up of New Yorkers ranging from a 30 year old deli clerk to a 74 year old treatment coordinator for a non profit as a 69 year old massage therapist, a 68 year old retired former bank employee, a 41 year old clerk for a correctional facility, a 51 year old scientist, a 31 year old investment analyst, 68 year old retired former telephone company lineman, a 39 year old social worker and a 67 year old logistics analyst for a bank. The prime minister of England, in a surprise announcement, promised a significant cut in migration arrivals to the United Kingdom. He said Britain will finally take back control of our borders. He said without strict rules, we risk becoming an island of strangers, not a nation that walks forward together. He said yes, some immigration is good, but when people come into our country, they should also commit to integration to learn our language. And our system should actively distinguish between those that do and those that do not. The lame stream is making a big deal of Qatar giving the federal government a 747 jumbo jet. The plane will serve as Air Force One after it's brought up to military standards and then at the end of Trump's term, it'll be given to his presidential library trust. The most important part of this story, though, is that both Boeing, our preeminent airplane manufacturing company, can't build it themselves. They've been in contract since 2018, and they say it won't get done till 2029. I'm Mike Slider from Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly with your message of the day next.

Message of the day on this Tuesday. One of the reasons we have about a 90% retention rate on Billorilly.com premium membership is because alert Americans understand the difficulty in assessing the truth about the Trump administration. While it is true that millions of Americans do not seek what is really happening about Mr. Trump, they are happy to either love or loathe him. It's imperative to those living smart lives to actually know what's going on in the White House. And I do. Here's some backup. After his inauguration, the president set out to feverishly impose his agenda. There are two tracks on this. The first is obliterating failed Biden policies like the open border and constraining regulations on energy. The Trump administration knocked those down in record time. The second pathway is the personal stuff, punishing those who Trump believes corrupted the justice system as well as redesigning how the economy will function. That's a tariff trade situation here. The going has been tougher as the Trump opposition has used the courts. Now, the other day I was answering questions from a friend who does not support Donald Trump. Rather than try to convince him to change his mind, I simply said if the president is successful, the country will be dramatically stronger going forward. Then I ran down a list. More employment opportunities, higher pay, peace abroad, far less waste of tax dollars, no ideology on college campuses or much less. Tough to argue with that. And he didn't. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approved the message by writing it. You can reach me billorilly.com billorilly.com, name in town. If you wish to opine now, let's go to the mail. Tony Smith, New York City Bill, the media has twisted the words of President Trump. Why doesn't Trump and anyone in his administration boycott the media? Because they're never going to get a fair shake. Because Donald Trump himself believes that his message is worth getting out, even if the person's obnoxious. It's as simple as that. That's why he does it. Jokar Portage, Indiana Hey, Bill, I've been a listener for many years, confused over your upcoming China visit. You are adamant about not going to Mexico. Don't you have the same issues with China? If I were lying on a beach in the South China Sea, then I'd be a hypocrite, wouldn't I? But not going to report. It's my job. No beach time in China. Pam Tellison, Astoria, Oregon. Beautiful town, by the way, right on the coast. I listen to no Spin daily. I have a dear friend who's in the last stage of cancer, is on Medicaid. His wife thinks Trump is going to get rid of Medicaid. There's nothing you can do. All you can do, Pam, is just be sympathetic and say that's not going to happen. But what else can you do? People believe what they want to believe. All right. It's too bad. Concierge member Catherine. Catherine's got a direct line to me. If anything happens to Catherine, we are on her side. Hey, Bill, I've not heard a word Pagan used in a long time. Your analysis of the Pope, Leo ascension is spot on. That's my column. The Pagan Factor. You like it free billorielly.com I hope you read it in a moment. Something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 44 years ago today, Pope John Paul II was nearly assassinated in the center of Vatican City. The shooting forever changed the Pontiff security both in Rome and abroad. Here is the story. Born Carol Wotila in 1920, the cardinal was selected in 1978 as the first Polish born pope. Fluent in eight languages, he was known as an avid traveler, a skier who had little fear of mingling with the public. On May 13, 1981, John Paul was greeting parishioners in St. Peter's Square. Suddenly, a 23 year old Turkish national named Mehmet Ali Akra fired four rounds, hitting the Pope in the abdomen. The gunman's weapon was knocked out of his hand by bystanders. He was detained and then imprisoned. The Pope was rushed by ambulance to a Roman hospital where he underwent more than five hours of surgery. As for the gunman, his plot to kill the Catholic leader began three years earlier. The terrorist was arrested in 1979 for ties to a Turkish network known as the Gray Wolves. Well after his arrest in Vatican City, a handwritten note was found in his pocket. Quote, I am killing the Pope as a protest against the imperialism of the Soviet Union and the United States and against the genocide that is being carried out in El Salvador and Afghanistan, unquote. Clearly, the man was deranged. And here's something else you might not know. Pope John Paul II immediately forgave the gunman who almost murdered him. He met with the guy numerous times in prison. Under the Pontiff's request, the would be assassin was pardoned by the President of Italy in the year 2000. Thirty years after the crime, the shooter returned to Vatican City to lay roses at the grave of Pope John Paul II, who passed in in the year 2005. Always remember, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Back after this.

Podcast Summary: Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis
Episode: The O'Reilly Update, May 13, 2025
Release Date: May 13, 2025
Bill O’Reilly kicks off The O’Reilly Update by setting the stage for the day’s discussions. [00:34] His succinct introduction primes listeners for an in-depth analysis of current events, promising a fact-based approach without the typical media spin.
Mike Slater delivers a comprehensive news segment covering several pivotal events shaping America and the international landscape.
Release of the Final American Held by Hamas
The segment opens with the release of the last American captive held by Hamas. [00:40] The individual was in captivity since October 7, 2023, and his transfer was facilitated by the Red Cross to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). At 21 years old, his emotional reunion with his mother, who tearfully greeted him upon his release, underscores the personal toll of international conflicts. “I can’t imagine how she’s feeling crying on the phone with her son,” Mike notes, highlighting the human aspect of geopolitical tensions.
Sean Combs (P. Diddy) Faces Trial on Serious Charges
The spotlight then shifts to the high-profile trial of Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy. [02:10] Accused of sex trafficking by force, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy, Combs, 55, faces grave allegations of orchestrating an enterprise that exploited women. Mike details the composition of the jury, reflecting a cross-section of New Yorkers from various professions, which adds gravity to the proceedings.
UK Prime Minister Announces Stricter Immigration Policies
In a surprising policy shift, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom pledges a significant reduction in migration arrivals. [02:50] Emphasizing national control over borders, he warns against becoming "an island of strangers" and stresses the importance of immigrants committing to integration and language acquisition. This stance reflects a broader global trend towards more stringent immigration controls.
Air Force One Upgrade Delayed Amid Boeing’s Manufacturing Challenges
The segment concludes with an update on Qatar’s plan to provide a 747 jumbo jet as the next Air Force One. [03:00] However, Boeing, the renowned American airplane manufacturer, has faced delays since 2018 and projects completion only by 2029. Mike underscores the irony of outsourcing such a critical task, pointing out that Boeing’s inability to fulfill the contract independently raises concerns about domestic manufacturing capabilities.
Bill O’Reilly transitions into his Message of the Day, focusing on the dynamics surrounding the Trump administration and its impact on American society.
Trump Administration’s Dual Track Approach
Bill discusses the administration’s strategy in dismantling previous policies while simultaneously addressing personal and economic reforms. “There are two tracks on this,” he explains at [05:15], referring to the elimination of Biden-era policies and the implementation of Trump’s own agenda to reshape the economy and justice system.
Engaging with Dissenters
Sharing a personal anecdote, Bill recounts a conversation with a friend skeptical of Trump’s leadership. [06:40] Instead of arguing, he laid out the tangible benefits of Trump’s policies, such as increased employment opportunities and reduced tax waste. “It’s tough to argue with that,” Bill remarks, highlighting the effectiveness of presenting factual outcomes over ideological debates.
Listener Feedback and Media Critique
Addressing listener feedback, Tony Smith from New York City questions why Trump doesn't boycott the media. Bill responds by asserting that “they’re never going to get a fair shake” and emphasizes Trump’s commitment to conveying his message despite media resistance.
In a poignant historical segment, Bill O’Reilly delves into the nearly forgotten assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II 44 years ago.
