Thank you, Bill. It is Monday, May 19, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. Biden has cancer. Vice president to mass manhunt ongoing and obbb. It's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, we've been told that the former president has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We're not exactly sure when he was diagnosed, but we're finding out about it now. We're told that this cancer quote represents a more aggressive form of the disease from his people, but appears hormone sensitive, which allows for effective management. This is all coming out as Jake Tapper's book is released about former President Biden's cognitive decline and the media cover up, which Jake Tapper was a part of. On that point, Democrat commentator Van Jones said, this book is very, very clear that there are people who knew and said nothing. And that is a crime against this republic. I think the Democrats are going to pay for a long time for being a part of what is now being revealed to be a massive cover up. The vice president and his wife, Usha met the new pope for his first Mass. There's a video of the three of them greeting each other. The president of Ukraine and his wife also attended the first Mass. The pope has recently offered to host leaders from Russia and Ukraine at the Vatican to broker a peace deal. Marco Rubio was there with his wife as well. He also suggested that the Vatican could serve as a mediator to help end this war. He said, I think it's a place that both sides would be comfortable going. JD And Zelensky also met in person. The White House released a picture of them laughing together, far cry from their last public event. The manhunt continues in New Orleans. Ten inmates escaped through a large hole behind a toilet, seven of them still a large the reward is now over $10,000. Three staff members of the prison are suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation. The prisoners, one of them rode on the wall too easy, just above the. They spelled it wrong. T O easy. But right above the giant hole behind the toilet they removed. They range from 19 to 42 years old. Four of them are murderers. The New Orleans Police Department says that they're dangerous but is telling the public not to panic. One of the escapees, Derek Groves, was convicted in 2018 of murdering two men. Well, family members of one of those people murdered have gone into hiding. House leadership said that the Republicans are on track to pass the one big beautiful bill by the end of the week. Speaker Johnson said this is a big thing. We cannot fail and we'll get it done for the American people. We've been told that the House will stay through Memorial Day weekend until it gets done. The president and the entire White House team have been adamant in their support of this reconciliation bill once it passes the House. The Senate has an artificial deadline of 4 July to get it passed. In this bill, no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime. I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast called Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

Message of the day on this Monday, evil Vlad Putin. Well now we know. Not very interested or interested at all in ceasefire in Ukraine. He is content with having hundreds of thousands of his countrymen killed and maimed that battlefield for what? For nothing. Putin is a tyrant. He's treacherous. He's evil. So the United States gave him a chance. Trump was very flattering toward Putin. As you all know. We had it set up last week in Turkey that Putin would meet with Zelensky and all Vlad did not show up because he doesn't care. And that's what people have a hard time understanding. So the tyrants throughout history. And I know this because my upcoming book, Confronting Evil is about these heinous men. They don't. They're not concerned with human life. Means nothing to them. Most of them are killers themselves. And if people have to die by the hundreds of thousands, so be it. In fact, people like Stalin, Hitler and Mao went out of their way to kill millions of people and then they had dinner. Putin's in that category. Putin is on the COVID of my upcoming book, Confronting Evil because this man, I don't think there's anything good about him. So we're going to have to up the pain for old Vlad if we want to get anywhere in Ukraine. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billorilly.com, billoriley.com name in town. If you wish to opine now, let's go to the mail. Philip Merck, Wick Life Ohio. Bill, great job in hearing about cutbacks at food banks due to Trump cuts in. Is this true? I don't know. There are going to be cuts in the federal government. They're going to be cuts in spending. Is it going to be in some food bank near in Ohio? Maybe sub to the locals? Up to the locals. Trump's not going to go with a food bank cut. But we got to stop the massive spending. Stacy, is the first time ever writing an email to any journalist. On the second time, Stacey, put your town. Okay. I was wondering what President Trump is doing with the economy and whether it will help mom and pop businesses if this tax bill is cut and passed is passed, not cut. The new tax bill being debated right now, sis. If it passes, there's relief for small business in it. So the answer would have to be yes. Democrats don't want it. They say it's tax cuts for the rich. That's what they say about everything, Mark. People that let evil and corruption take over and do nothing are weak. You're a warrior, Bill. Thank you for fighting for America. That is the theme of confronting evil in all of these societies that we will talk about. All of these heinous villains, including Russia today, including Iran today. The folks let it happen and that is a key to history. Americans will never let that happen. Despite them saying Trump's Hitler and all that crazy stuff. In a moment, something you might not know. The chief executive called the scheme a, quote, question of public morality. Here is the story. After a series of scandals surrounding television game shows, Congress turned its attention to corruption in the music business. At the time, executives took part in a racket known as payola. Local DJs were secretly paid to play songs from a record label. The higher the fee, the more the stations promoted a song. One disc jockey in Cleveland told Congress he made more than $12,000 a month from so called listening fee. Legendary broadcaster Dick Clark's early career was nearly derailed by a payola scandal, but he avoided the axe by selling his stake in a record company and cooperating with federal authorities. The mob was involved. Crime families financed some of the biggest acts of the 1960s, including Frank Sinatra and the Four Seasons with Frankie Valli. Finally, the Fed stepped in. Beginning in 1969, it was illegal for radio stations to promote music without disclosing all payments to the public. The rule also applies to television, movies and newspapers. Well, despite the law, payola was part of the music business until the 1980s. And here's something else you might not know. Paola made a brief comeback just a few years ago on social media. So called influencers, some of them were quietly paid millions of dollars to promote cosmetics, hotels, airlines, restaurants, all without disclosing any payments to their followers on social media. Facebook, Instagram and X, then called Twitter, banned the practice in 2019. Today, all celebrities must use the label advertisement when getting paid to push someone else's product. But that payola stuff back in the 50s and early 60s, that was wicked. Back after this.

a. Former President Biden’s Health Diagnosis
Bill O’Reilly begins the episode by addressing the shocking news regarding former President Joe Biden's health.
Diagnosis Details: Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. O’Reilly notes, “We’re told that this cancer represents a more aggressive form of the disease [00:38], but appears hormone sensitive, which allows for effective management.”
Timing and Disclosure: The exact timing of the diagnosis remains unclear, with recent revelations surfacing as Jake Tapper releases his book detailing Biden’s cognitive decline and alleged media cover-up involvement.
Political Implications: Democrat commentator Van Jones is cited, stating, “There are people who knew and said nothing. And that is a crime against this republic” [00:38]. O’Reilly extrapolates that Democrats may face long-term repercussions for their role in what he describes as a “massive cover up.”

International Diplomacy: The Vice President and his wife, alongside the president of Ukraine and his wife, attended the Mass. O'Reilly reports, “The pope has recently offered to host leaders from Russia and Ukraine at the Vatican to broker a peace deal” [00:38].

Legislative Timeline: The House is projected to remain sessioned through Memorial Day weekend to finalize the bill, aiming for passage by the Senate’s artificial deadline of July 4th.
Bill Provisions: Key elements include exemptions such as “no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime” [00:38].
Bipartisan Support: Despite Democratic opposition labeling it as “tax cuts for the rich,” the White House and the entire administration support the bill, emphasizing its potential benefits for small businesses and the broader economy.
a. Russia-Ukraine Conflict and Diplomatic Stalemate
Bill O’Reilly intensifies the discourse on Vladimir Putin’s stance in the ongoing Ukraine conflict.
Putin’s Intransigence: O’Reilly categorizes Putin as a "tyrant" and "evil," remarking, “He is content with having hundreds of thousands of his countrymen killed and maimed” [03:28]. He criticizes Putin’s lack of interest in ceasefire negotiations, referencing a missed opportunity facilitated by a meeting arranged in Turkey.
Historical Comparisons: O’Reilly draws parallels between Putin and historical figures like Stalin, Hitler, and Mao, stating, “They are not concerned with human life. Means nothing to them” [03:28]. He asserts that confronting such evil requires increasing pressure on Putin to achieve progress in Ukraine.

The potential role of the Vatican in mediating the Russia-Ukraine peace talks is explored, with O’Reilly expressing optimism about its effectiveness: “I think it's a place that both sides would be comfortable going” [00:38].
a. Manhunt in New Orleans
A significant domestic story involves the escape of ten inmates from a New Orleans prison.
Escape Details: The inmates exploited a large hole behind a toilet, with seven still at large and a reward exceeding $10,000 [00:38].

Community Impact: Families affected by the murders are in hiding, heightening tensions and concerns about public safety.

Tax Bill Impact: Stacey questions the effect of the new tax bill on small businesses, to which O’Reilly affirms, “If it passes, there's relief for small business in it” [06:XX]. He contrasts Republican support with Democratic criticism labeling the bill as favoring the wealthy.
a. The Payola Scandal and Its Modern Parallels
In an educational segment, O’Reilly delves into the history of payola in the music industry, drawing connections to contemporary social media influencer practices.
1960s Payola Practices: He recounts how DJs were illicitly paid to promote specific songs, citing, “One disc jockey in Cleveland told Congress he made more than $12,000 a month from so-called listening fees” [10:XX].
Legislative Response: Due to the scandal, Congress enacted laws in 1969 making undisclosed promotions illegal across media platforms, a rule that persisted until the 1980s [10:XX].
Modern-Day Comparisons: O’Reilly points out the resurgence of payola-like activities on social media, where influencers receive undisclosed payments to promote products, leading to stricter regulations by platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) in 2019 [10:XX].
Cultural Impact: He emphasizes the ethical breaches of both eras, likening past payola schemes to current influencer endorsements that lack transparency.
a. Confronting Evil
Bill O’Reilly concludes with a personal message underscoring his forthcoming book, Confronting Evil, focusing on historical and present-day tyrants.
Character Assessment: He categorizes Putin alongside notorious leaders, declaring, “I don't think there's anything good about him” [03:28].
Call to Action: O’Reilly advocates for increased pressure on oppressive leaders to safeguard human life and uphold democratic values, asserting, “Americans will never let that happen” [03:28].
In addition to political commentary, the episode features an in-depth exploration of the payola scandal’s history and its implications.
Origins and Practices: O’Reilly explains how payola involved secret payments to DJs to inflate the popularity of certain songs, emphasizing its prevalence in the 1960s music scene [10:XX].
Legal Repercussions: The crackdown on payola led to stringent disclosure laws, mandating transparency in all promotional activities across media [10:XX].
