Electronic Payments Coalition Spokesperson
Corporate megastores are spending millions lobbying D.C. politicians on one sided policies that send small businesses tumbling. They want to enact harmful credit card mandates that take resources away from your local credit union and community bank, leaving Main street businesses with less access to credit, making it harder for your family to pay for everyday goods like gas and groceries. Tell Congress to guard your card and oppose the Durbin Marshall credit card mandates.

Thank you, bill. This Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. DNA evidence, TikTok DL imminent another drug boat strike and Trump's historic second state visit. That's all coming up. Then Bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, FBI co Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the murderer had an obsession with Charlie Kirk. He said, quote, I believe coworkers stated he had detached himself when the topics of politics came up and walked away. The FBI is looking into who else knew about the planned attack. They found DNA evidence on the crime scene, specifically a towel wrapped around the forearm used in the shooting and also on a screwdriver. They all linked this 22 year old to the killing. The murderer's father recognized him from photos released by the FBI. JD Vance said left wing extremism is to blame for why Charlie Kirk was killed. The treasury secretary, Scott Besant, was in Madrid for trade talks with China. He said that they have a framework for a TikTok deal. He said the president and our president and their President Xi will speak on Friday to complete the details. Bessen said we're not going to talk about the commercial terms of the deal. It's between two private parties. But the commercial terms have been agreed upon. There was a federal law passed last year upheld by the supreme court that required ByteDance to find new owners or otherwise face a ban in the United States. China's top trade negotiator said China will never reach an agreement at the expense of its principled stance, corporate interests and international fairness and justice. We'll see the terms here soon. Three more people have been killed in a second US Strike on an alleged Venezuelan drug boat. The president said this morning, on my orders, US Military forces conducted a second kinetic strike against positively identified extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels and narco terrorists in the southcom area of responsibility. The strike occurred while these confirmed narco terrorists for Venezuela were in international waters transporting illegal narcotics, a deadly weapon poisoning Americans headed to the U.S. 11 Venezuelans were killed in a similar strike earlier this month. The president is starting his second official state visit to the UK he's the only president to have ever had two official state visits with the monarchy. All the festivities at Windsor Castle, it's like the big it's three days of festivities, but the big ones our Windsor Castle on Wednesday. Our president's admiration of the royal family comes from his mother, who's from Scotland. And the president said she was always a big fan of the queen. Anytime the queen was on tv, she'd say, oh, the queen's on. And Trump said he felt a sense of awe when he met the queen for the first time. He said, quote, I was walking up and thinking, can you imagine my mother seeing this? I'm Mike Slater from Politics by faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

Time now for the O'Reilly update. Message of the day on this Tuesday. As usual, the national press has essentially misreported a very important story, the nation's reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Here are the most important points. The alleged killer, 22 year old Tyler Robinson is not cooperating in the investigation. However, Robinson's parents are giving information. His live in roommate, a person transitioning from male to female is also speaking to investigators. Tyler Robinson apparently spent a lot of time on the radical left social media hand hate sites. The governor of Utah, Spencer Cox calls them dark corners of the Internet. Robinson will appear in court today, most likely plead not guilty to murder charges as lawyers probably going for the insanity defense. As for a wider analysis, it breaks down, of course along ideological lines. Number of far left Americans are actually happy Charlie Kirk was murdered. These are emotionally troubled people, some of whom have lost their jobs. On the political front, President Trump believes dark money outfits are fueling violence. George Soros was named. Mr. Trump will direct the Justice Department to investigate those groups. Finally, ever since the George Floyd riots, the Democratic Party in the leftist media that supports it, I've had a perception problem among Americans who are not ideological, which is most of the population. The situation has now reached critical mass, with the far left very likely to be significantly marginalized. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billorilly.com, billoriley.com, name in town. If you wish to opine, go to the mail. DeWitt Political assassination is truly heinous and evil act. Okay, but the character assassination Charlie Kerr continues is one thing to defame a living person, but posthumous defamation is particularly egregious because Charlie Kerr can no longer defend himself. Also, it is these types of defamatory comments that contribute to the motive of the assassin. Does Stephen King have any shame? Soon he will have less money. I just think he's a little off. Mr. King, you can't justify what he did. He's been around long enough to know it's wrong. I can't. All I can say, Richard, Bill, it's high time to hold the CEOs of mainstream media accountable for the vitriol they allow on their networks. Why don't you demand accountability from them? Richard, are you new here? Are you new to the no spin news? I've been doing that for almost nine years. James Davis, Bangkok, Thailand. Evil now walks with the light of day. With recent events appearing to wake people and motivating action, will there be enough sustained movement to drive evil back into the shadows? No, but you can make it harder for evil. You're never going to drive it into the shadows that social media is there. It's going to stay there. It's going to drive, should make it harder. So I think the Trump administration should be making it harder for Putin. Putin's on a cover, confronting evil. He's as rotten as they get. I think we should be making it harder for him. Okay. The cities that refuse to refor enforce the law, like Chicago, okay, let's make it hard. Make it hard for them. Grants, things like that. Boston, no money, no tax money. Going to do the wrong thing. You're going to enable evil, make it harder. That's the way to go. In a moment, something you might not know. Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 51 years ago today, President Gerald Ford issued a pardon to draft dodgers and deserters who refused to fight in the Vietnam War. Here is the story. Beginning in 1964, more than 2 million Americans are drafted into military service. The names were selected by a lottery linked to their date of birth. As the war was very controversial, some avoided conscription by enrolling in college, others claiming religious or medical exemptions. As many as 500,000Americans refused to fight. 200,000 were charged with evading the draft, including Boxer Muhammad Ali, whose conviction was eventually overturned by the Supreme Court. Some dodgers were arrested and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Others were fined $5,000. 50,000Americans fled to Canada or Mexico to avoid the draft. After a decade of bloodshed, the Vietnam War finally ended in January 1973. On September 16, 1974, President Ford issued a proclamation granting pardon to some draft dodgers, providing they work in a public service job for two years. Those who actually fled the country were not eligible for amnesty. Ford, a veteran of World War II, hoped the pardons would heal the divided country. He said, quote, this reconciliation calls for an act of mercy to bind the nation's wounds and to heal the scars of divisiveness, unquote. Some veterans groups condemned Ford's proclamation, claiming the act condoned desertion. The public also did not approve. After the pardon, Ford's approval rating fell from 50 to 37%. He lost to Democrat Jimmy Carter two years later in the presidential election. Carter then issued an unconditional pardon for all draft dodgers. And here's something else you might not know. The most popular destination for Americans who refused to fight in Vietnam was Toronto, Canada. Despite the pardons, 40,000 US citizens remained in Toronto after the war. That exiled community exists to this day. Back in a moment. Let's face it, the US Economy is under stress the national debt rising, trade war shaking the markets.
