Bill O'Reilly
Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the no Spin News for Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Stand up for your country. Exceedingly busy day today. If you could follow me around, you'd be exhausted. Just follow me around. This is our last broadcast this week. It's Holy Week, Passover, giving my staff off. They deserve it. They work very hard. Now, stock market's crazy again today. Again, I reiterate, I'm not doing anything, all right? It's up, down, it's annoying beyond belief. But to sell on the down. And I, you know, I think it will sort itself out in the next month or so, I could be wrong, but that's what I'm doing. Now. If something happens, Holy Thursday, tomorrow, Good Friday, or over the weekend, I will tweet. If you're not on my tweet band, It's @Bill O'Reilly. It can't get any easier than that. At Bill O'Reilly, I will tweet, all right, but it's got to be fairly significant that impacts you. But I'm always, you know, paying attention, put it that way. Even though when I'm off, I'm not in some opium den someplace, you know, I'm doing stuff, but I'm paying attention. And I wish you all very calm. That's the best word. Okay? Holy Week, Passover season. Talking Boy's Memo is about political madness, which is not being covered by the corrupt national media. So now the Congress is on a break, right? So the Senators and the representatives go back to their districts, and many of them hold town hall meetings where you get to meet them, ask them questions. Okay? It's been going on since the Civil War. All right? People have the meeting. They go in. Locals express their concerns to their elected representatives the way it was designed to be by the Founding Fathers. Well, now it's being corrupted. I'll give you the best example I can possibly give you. So Senator Chuck Grassley is 91 years old, a senator from Iowa. Senior senator. Okay. He's a good guy. I've known him for years. He has a town hall meeting in Lee County, Iowa. Small place, rural place. Right. And he goes in, and this is what happens. Go. Yeah.
Political Commentator
Okay. So with laws, I would welcome refugees and I would welcome people.
Bill O'Reilly
You're going to bring that guy back from El Salvador? Why not?
Political Commentator
Well, because that's not a. That's not a power of Congress.
Bill O'Reilly
Supreme Court said to bring him back.
Political Commentator
Trump don't care if I get an order.
Bill O'Reilly
Twelve hundred dollars, and I just say no. Does that stand up? Because he's got an order from the Supreme Court and he just said no? Yeah, screw it.
Political Commentator
I'll be able to answer your question.
Bill O'Reilly
You ignored my letter. Mine, too.
Political Commentator
El Salvador is an independent country. The president.
Bill O'Reilly
We can't hear you.
Political Commentator
The president of that country is not subject to our US Supreme Court.
Bill O'Reilly
All right? Those people didn't want to hear what Grassley had to say. They were all activists. They were organized. That wasn't organic. That wasn't the regular folks coming out. All right? So we investigated. That was organized by the Lee County Democratic machine. All right? They seeded that audience with all these activists who were going to yell at Grassley. Now, media didn't report that. I don't even think the local media reported in Iowa says, oh, yeah, everybody's. No, not everybody's mad. The Democratic activists, the far left people are mad. And Grassley walks right into it, and he's 91. For me, I would have cleared the room. Now, this is happening all over the country. As I said, in Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene, the congresswoman up there, had a town hall in Acworth, and the police had to be called go. Okay, so again, same thing. These were activists. They were piped in there to attack Marjorie Taylor Greene, which they did. All right? This isn't democracy, because the people in Acworth and in Iowa, the regular folks, they had questions to ask, but they're disrupted to the fact that they can't even get the town hall underway. Again, we looked for Georgia coverage of this. No, we had to do it. We had to do it. Nobody in Atlanta doing it. Oh, boy. That's the corruption that we're dealing with here. Now, a final kicker on the Georgia thing, they were bailed out. The three that were arrested by the Cobb County Democratic Committee bailed them out. Now, if Republicans had done that, it would have been fascist Nazis races, you know, but the Democrats can get away with it because the press won't cover it. So, so terrible. All right, so just to reiterate, this happening all over the place, if it happens in your town or your area, your county, let me know, okay? Because we're going to follow this. And that's the Democratic Party at this point right now. And that's a memoir. All right. Blood feud alert. Blood feud alert. Donald Trump versus New York Attorney General Letitia James. As you know, Ms. James was very instrumental in prosecuting Mr. Trump for state crimes in New York. That in my opinion, and I think most people agree with me, were trumped up, pardon the pun. All right? And she had one case where his business operation did something that nobody could understand, where there were no victims. And James was behind this. Okay? So now Donald Trump is president and guess who's under investigation for mortgage fraud. Or you can text Bill to 998-899 again, 866-326-5576. Or text Bill to 998-899. That would be Letitia James. Fascinating case. So a guy named William Pulte is the director of the United States Federal Housing Finance Agency. Okay. And he has sent a referral to the Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondi. All right. That the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, may have committed fraud in purchasing a house in Virginia. Basically, the case outlines. This way, if you tell the Commonwealth of Virginia the house you're buying is your primary residence, you can get a lower mortgage rate, apparently. Allegedly. That's what Ms. James did when she bought a house in Virginia, but it's not her primary residence because she's the Attorney General of New York. So now the Justice Department may file charges against her. Fascinating story, but this is really. Oh, whoa. So no charges yet. I expect there will be against Ms. James. Now, she today announces that she's investigating Donald Trump, the president, for insider trading over the tariff stuff. You see where this is going? All right, Revenge versus retribution. We did that earlier this week. You make the call on it, but, boy, it's getting unbelievably nasty. California is suing Donald Trump on tariffs. This is Governor Gavin Newsom says that, hey, President Trump's unlawful tariffs are wreaking chaos in California, families, businesses and our economy, driving up prices, threatening jobs. So we're suing. They lose, California can't win. Number one, doesn't have jurisdiction in tariffs. It's a federal thing. And number two, unlawful. Trump could do this. Nobody. I don't think there's anybody in the country that said the president can't control the tariff situation. Come on. But they're just doing. Gavin Newsom's doing it for political reasons, wasting tens of thousands, probably hundreds of thousands, if they continue with this. Of California tax money. Not going to win. All right. But again, nasty, nasty, nasty. Judge Boasberg, James Boasberg. Now, this is the guy in D.C. the federal judge who said that the plane full of the criminal migrants going to El Salvador from Texas had to turn around and come back, and the Trump administration ignored that. So Burrowsburg now says that he as probable cause that Donald Trump is in contempt. Okay. He's in contempt again. This is a loser. Okay? Boasberg isn't going to win. It Boasberg is a liberal Democrat judge. Now, there is a study by the Hill newsletter. You can get that online. That said, there are says there are 200 lawsuits currently in play against the Trump administration. 72% of them have been assigned to judges appointed by Democratic Presidents. All right, 69. Biden, 66. Obama, Clinton, 26. Okay. 72% of all the lawsuits against the Trump administration are being heard by judges appointed by Democrats. And then they cite the Hillside District, Columbia as the most. 107. Massachusetts, Maryland, Washington state, California, New York. 177 out of 200 are in liberal states. Now, the Supreme Court has already sent a message that this is not going to stand, but they're going to have to rule on this, because what the intent is so, you know, is for the Democrat, the Democratic Party, I am putting this in the party, okay? To create so much chaos that Trump can't govern. That's what the plan is. Sue him every time he turns around. But the Trump administration is very litigious as well. Okay? They are now suing. The president is suing the state of Maine for failing to enforce Title 9 about gender, where transgender men are competing against girls and women in sports, high school, and college. So this is a lawsuit filed against the state of Maine by the Trump administration. It was just filed today. Okay. This is going to cost Maine hundreds of thousands, maybe millions. Maine doesn't have a lot of money. Already losing money from the federal government. So Trump administration is making an example of Maine. Now, how will this go? Well, there's an executive order saying DEI has got to stop. And the Attorney general of Maine says she's not going to stop it. That's pretty straightforward. The states define the federal government at the order of the governor of Maine, Janet Mills. Though it's going to be in federal court. Federal court has to rule against Maine. Right. Because federal law trumps state law. Back to Gavin Newsom, Governor of California. Very busy. Very, very busy. He's out of money for Medi Cal. Medi Cal is Medicaid. Okay, so they're out of money. Ran out of money. Even though they tax you Californians up to here. Not any money. Why don't they have any money? Because listen to this. Illegal migrants are expected to receive, this year alone, $10 billion in health care costs from the state of California. So in addition, I think there's 53 million, California's largest state, 10 million undocumented getting their health care paid for. So they're out of money in Medi California. So what Newsom is doing. He's taking 3 billion from another part of the California budget. Already run in record deficits out there, okay? And he's putting it into Medi Cal because they're broke, because they're paying so many bills for the undocumented. Now, this is what you hear when Bernie Sanders says, Republicans want to cut Medicaid. So the Republican Party wants to pass legislation that says if you're undocumented, you're not going to get Medicaid, medical, whatever it's called. You don't get it. You're not entitled to get it. That's legitimate. Let Congress vote on it. But Sanders goes, oh, no, they want to cut everybody's Medicare. That's not true. See, you know, I spent 16 minutes. Now we're 16 minutes into this broadcast giving you one corrupt thing after the other in this country. And I'm saying to myself, this has got to stop. But the only way it's going to stop is for the courts to intervene. But California boy. Okay, now to President Biden. He's back. So he goes to Chicago to give a speech in front of advocates, counselors and representatives for the disabled. That's a great cause. Okay. Anything helping disabled people is excellent. Sit. The Sofitel Hotel in Chicago. Very safe venue. Very safe for Mr. Biden.

So he gets up there and he meanders around and then he gets down to what he really wanted to talk about. Go.
Political Commentator
Fewer than 100 days. This new administration has made so much, done so much damage and so much destruction. It's kind of Breathtaking. It could happen that soon. They've taken a hatchet to the Social Security administration pushing additional 7,000Americans employees, 7,000 out the door in that time, including the most seasoned career officials. Now they're getting ready to push thousands more out the door. Already we can see the effects.
Bill O'Reilly
All right, so we fact checked them. The Trump administration wants to cut the Social Security administration workforce from 57,000 to 50,000. They are offering buyouts, early retirements, all of that, and they are cutting some jobs. Now, to me, if you have a 56, 36 trillion dollar debt, 36 trillion you gotta cut. So this doesn't seem unreasonable to cut 7,000 out of a workforce of 57,000. Does it seem unreasonable to you to do that? Not to me. But would Biden and Sanders and all Democrats, oh, they're going to cut your Social Security. See, see what they do? So I knew that Biden was going to do that. Nobody. I didn't even see any coverage of Biden. I mean, they're kind of Democrats are embarrassed by him now. But I thought you want to know tariff latest. So I am involved with this to some extent as far as people asking my opinion at very high levels and I give my opinion. All right. That I want this to calm down, this tariff stuff. I understand that the United States should stick up for itself worldwide economics. We're doing the right thing. How we're doing it needs to be reexamined because we don't want to hurt our own. And the stock market, as I pointed out, top of the program, gyrating wildly every day is not good. Okay, so Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni comes to the United States tomorrow. She's a friend of Trump, a sympathizer with Trump. Okay. But Italy doesn't pay its dues to NATO. They're way underpaid and their tariffs are 21%. Now, I think Maloney is going to give President Trump what he wants. I think I can't guarantee it. At the same time, I believe that Japan and the USA are very close to a deal on tariffs as well. And it's tough, tough market. They don't want to take a lot of American stuff over there. So I know for a fact that President Trump believes he's going to get these two deals done quickly and then others will follow. Okay? That's what the President believes. So you know something? I found out this morning, I don't use anonymous sources, but I can't burn my sources. I'm not going to. I'm just going to tell you this. I found out. You can believe me or not. It doesn't really matter to me whether you believe me. By the way, I know that sounds a little harsh, but I don't mean it to. But when I tell you anything on this broadcast, I always say, I know this for sure. This is the truth. Or I'm not sure, or I could be wrong. I always bring context to it. This I know happened. China called the White House this morning. I don't know who in China might have been. Somebody would take out. I don't know. But I know that call came in, and that's a good thing. But I don't know any more about it. I will. This is so hard. I can't. I don't want to feel sorry for me. I like what I do. But it's so hard to get this information because I can't report it to you unless I believe it's valid. Unlike 98% of all the other journalists in the country who just throw stuff out, they don't know whether it's true or not. I won't do that. I don't want to mislead you. Which is why we don't have to apologize here very much at all for anything. Harvard. So on Hannity today, it was pretty funny. Another blood feud, by the way, between Harvard and the Trump administration. So I have offered myself as a mediator in this blood feud because I attended Harvard. I know a lot of people up there, and I know the Trump administration. I think I could do detente. But Hannity goes, we don't want detente, because Hannity's a conservative guy. I mean, he goes, ah, we don't want it. That might be true, but I'm going, shouldn't. Blessed are the peacemakers, right? If I can broker some deal between Harvard and the Trump administration, isn't that a worthy thing? Hannity had very, very severe reservations about? It's posted on billorilly.com okay, very interesting. So Trump administration is freezing 2.2 billion. We reported that yesterday. Now, they might go after the president, might go after a tax exempt. Tell you, Harvey, you're not. We're not going to give you a tax exemption, okay? You got to pay tax on everything you do, including your endowment. It's unbelievable how much tax Harvey would have to pay. And the reason is because we believe you are not okay enforcing federal law when it comes to protecting Jewish students. And you're indoctrinating your students with a whole bunch of radical leftists on your faculty. And you Won't stop doing that. There are a myriad of federal regulations that Harvard is violating according to the Trump administration. And they can back it up. I mean, Bill de Blasio, the worst mayor of New York City ever, a Democrat, he got hired by Harvard. Lori Lightfoot, the worst mayor in Chicago history, got hired by Harvard. And they get paid about 200,000 each of them to go up there and do nothing to spout gibberish. Now, have you heard of any Republican governors being hired? No. Or mayors? No. When I was there at the Kennedy School of Government, it was liberal, but it was an activist liberal. What happened was it became very activist liberal. They fired Gay, the president, who is an absolute extremist, a Palestinian sympathizer, hates Israel, on and on and on and on. This is all my opinion of gay, but I think it's solid. Now, the new guy up there, he's trying to be a little bit more moderate, but he's got a clear campus. Most of these students are leftists because that's what they wanted. That's a culture they wanted at Harvard. When I was at the Kennedy School, the grad students there there was across the board, there were a lot of military people in there and a lot of foreign students, you know, the sons and daughters of sultans and this kind of thing. It wasn't crazy left. Now it is. Anyway, this feud if Harvard loses its tax exempt status is going to be pretty intense. So enter Barack Obama, who is supporting Harvard because he went to Harvard Law. Quote, harvard has set an example for other higher ed institutions, rejecting an unlawful and ham handed attempt to stifle academic freedom while taking concrete steps to make sure all students at Harvard can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate, mutual respect. Let's hope the other institutions follow suit, unquote. I don't know. I think that might be a little optimistic by President Obama. Okay. I don't think there's a wide acceptance of conservative views at Harvard. And I know what's going on up there in Cambridge. Well, here's how President Trump replied on Truth Social, quote, perhaps Harvard should lose his tax exempt status, be taxed as a political entity if it keeps pushing political, ideological and terrorist inspired, supporting, sickness. Remember, tax exempt status is totally contingent on acting in the public interest. Ooh, another feud. Now here was a surprise. Analyzing this on msnbc, Chris Matthews said this go.
Chris Matthews
It's Trump going after the elites. He knows what he's doing. Politically, it's not going to hurt him. I think these universities have enough money to cover their legacies. They got a lot of money to handle it, so they're going to be able to take care of themselves. I don't want to be loose about this, but I think Trump targeting these universities is probably not the worst movie ever made.
Bill O'Reilly
All right, so the sympathies probably lie. I agree with President Trump. And if you guys want me to get involved and, you know, I'll be happy to do it, I would like to see Harvard. I don't want to see them punished. As I told Hannity, school does a lot of good and particularly in the medical area, but they got us. They got to stop with the leftist ideology up there. I don't know if that's possible. All right, update on the attack on Governor Josh Shapiro's home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The nut who did it, Corey Balmer, 38 years old. No bail. He'll never get out now. He said he wanted to hurt Shapiro because of what Shapiro wants to do to the Palestinian people. This guy's crazy. I mean, look at him. Okay, so the thing I want to know about is what is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania doing to protect people? How could this guy.

Do this. Get over that fence and bomb the house. There's not much reporting on that. We're watching it. Smart life. This comes out of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology. Eight drinks a week, increase your chance of Alzheimer's brain lesions by 133%. Whoa. Just eight drinks a week? Actually, you know, eight drinks a week, it's kind of a lot. So there's a survey of 1,781 people, moderate drinkers, 60% greater chance of developing brain lesions. So you don't have to be a drunk. Okay, now here is the big stat. And remember, this is smart life. Heavy drinkers die an average of 13 years earlier than non drinkers. If you are a heavy drinker, you know, get that cemetery plot up and running. 13 years. Now, I never drank and I, I get a lot of Irish comments on that, but I don't care. I mean, I'm not. You say that about some ethnic groups. I don't care. Irish people traditionally have a pub culture. It's fact. I never drank. But in my family, we've had some people die of cirrhosis of the liver and die from alcohol. And I think almost every family in the world has it. But I never thought that intoxicants forwarded my life in any way. Same thing with drugs, as you know. And I'll tell you what, at my age, my advanced age, the fact that I never drank and never took drugs had really, really helped me both mentally and physically. Smart life just using me as the guinea pig. I did a podcast. This is not a podcast, by the way. So everybody, and I know you're all being nice. Oh, I love your podcast. I don't do a podcast. This is a broadcast. But I did a podcast yesterday, Jillian Michaels, who show you a clip. And I like doing that, that show. We'll be back within a moment. Okay, for final thought, for some reason, I'm in demand. I don't know why. I think I'm a boring guy myself, but a lot of people want to talk to me, and I only have a certain amount of time to do it. Between the no spin news and all the stuff we do on billoriley.com and all the stuff I write and the books and on and on and on and on. But I make time to do favors of people that I like, and Jillian Michaels is one of them. She is a fitness person who's gone over into the podcast world and interviews people that she finds interesting. And I'm flattered that I fit into that category. So this morning, her latest podcast, Keeping It Real, dropped. And of course, it was the Trump administration that she wanted to talk to me about. Go look. When I was in a meeting with Donald Trump and some of his advisors on January 2nd of this year, they were railing about Panama. And I looked at the president and I said, you see that paper in front of him? You write down everything you want from Panama right now. You give that paper to me, I'll go to Panama City and I'll get you everything you want in 48 hours. The room was stunned. He laughed. Okay. But he knew what I was saying to him. He got everything that he wanted from Panama, 100% across the board. Okay. So that gives you one small example. We did. I thought that we were still negotiating Panama. We got what we wanted out of Panama. We got everything, everything there. Chinese companies are out, tariffs to put our ships through or down. U.S. troops are there providing security for the canal now. 100%. He got. I didn't even know that now. You didn't hear about it? No, I thought it was a standstill. Yeah. The press won't know he got everything. And he got it in record time. And the press won't report it because it's a victory for Trump. Okay. And so there's a lot more in that podcast. And that's absolutely true. Most people don't even know that Panama pretty much gave Donald Trump what Donald Trump asked for. And we got special forces down there now, okay, watching the security of the canal. But they're really there to stop illegal drug transportation. That's why they're there. So I think you'll find Jillian Michaels podcast keeping it real interesting. I hope you check it out. It's on YouTube, Spotify, all of those. And we thank Ms. Michaels for taking the time to talk to me. It was a lot of fun. Okay, so that's it. I think you're up to speed with everything again. We will be off tomorrow and Good Friday and anything that happens and anything could. And this is just such a crazy news cycle now. I will Tweet at Bill O'Reilly and if it's big enough, then I'll come back in with some written analysis and we'll give you a signal that will come. And I hope everybody enjoys the next what in four days? You know, don't do. I'm not going to do a lot. I'm going up to see my son play lacrosse, but I'm gonna try to low key it. Little R and R, that kind of thing. We very much thank you for watching and listening to the no Spin News. We appreciate your loyalty across the board. I'm Bill O'Reilly. We will see you again on Monday.
Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis Episode: Town Hall Madness, Donald Trump vs. Letitia James, DOJ Sues Maine, California's Healthcare Spending on Illegal Immigrants & Trump’s Ongoing Feud With Harvard Release Date: April 17, 2025
In this episode of Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin News and Analysis, host Bill O’Reilly delves into a series of pressing political issues dominating the national discourse. From the corruption infiltrating town hall meetings to high-stakes legal battles involving prominent political figures and states, O’Reilly provides a comprehensive analysis of the current political landscape. The episode is structured into distinct sections, each focusing on a critical topic, enriched with notable quotes and timestamps for clarity.
[01:12 - 05:02]
O’Reilly kicks off the discussion by highlighting the manipulation and disruption occurring in town hall meetings across the United States. He cites specific instances where Democratic activists have orchestrated hostile environments to undermine elected Republicans.
Example with Senator Chuck Grassley: Bill recounts a town hall meeting in Lee County, Iowa, where Senator Chuck Grassley, a respected 91-year-old senator, faced an orchestrated backlash from activists.
“Those people didn't want to hear what Grassley had to say. They were all activists. They were organized. That wasn't organic.” [04:00]
Example with Marjorie Taylor Greene: Similarly, O’Reilly references Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s town hall in Acworth, Georgia, which required police intervention due to disruptions by Democratic activists.
“These were activists... they disrupted the fact that they can't even get the town hall underway.” [05:02]
He emphasizes that such tactics are not reflective of true democratic engagement but rather a strategic move by the Democratic Party to silence opposition.
[05:02 - 19:27]
The episode shifts focus to the intense rivalry between former President Donald Trump and New York Attorney General Letitia James. O’Reilly discusses James’ role in prosecuting Trump for state crimes in New York, which he deems as "trumped up."
Allegations Against Letitia James: O’Reilly introduces a case where James allegedly committed fraud by purchasing a house in Virginia under false pretenses to secure a lower mortgage rate, despite it not being her primary residence.
“William Pulte... has sent a referral to... Pam Bondi... that Letitia James may have committed fraud in purchasing a house in Virginia.” [09:00]
