In the summer of 1969, a ragtag group of runaways and outcasts living in the California desert unleashed one of the most shocking crime sprees in American history. At the center of it all was Charles Manson—a failed musician with a magnetic personality and a deadly vision. In this episode, we dive deep into the twisted world of the Manson Family: how a small-time criminal became the self-proclaimed messiah of a doomsday cult, how he used sex, drugs, and the Beatles’ White Album to brainwash his followers, and how his apocalyptic race-war prophecy known as “Helter Skelter” led to the brutal murders of Sharon Tate, Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, and six others. From Manson’s troubled childhood to the chaotic trial that captivated the world, we uncover the psychology of a cult leader, the chilling loyalty of his disciples, and the enduring mystery of whether Manson truly ordered the killings or simply planted the seeds. This isn’t just another retelling of a familiar story—it’s a chilling journey into the dark heart of manipulation, celebrity obsession, and the thin line between charisma and pure evil. “50 Shades of Evil” is a podcast series brought to you by “Bloody Angola Podcast”.Chapters09:20 Reform School Breakdown16:31 Prison Shapes a Manipulator19:35 Haight-Ashbury Cult Begins24:18 Murder Orders Begin25:25 Tate-LaBianca Nightmare30:06 The Investigation Closes In32:15 Courtroom Spectacle36:04 Life Behind Bars39:04 Final Years and LegacyJoin Bloody Angola on Patreon for Commercial Free Early Releases and more here: www.patreon.com/bloodyangolapodcast

Rocky Ali Beamon—better known as the “Vigalante Killer.” Already serving a life sentence for the 2005 kidnapping, robbery, and brutal drowning murder of Deborah Lacey (carried out with his girlfriend Karen Wilkins to fuel a crack cocaine binge), Beamon wasn’t done killing.Behind the walls of Florida state prisons, he became a self-appointed vigilante, hunting down convicted sex offenders with cold, calculated precision. In 2012, at Apalachee Correctional Institution, he stalked fellow inmate Bruce Hunsicker—a registered sex offender—before savagely stabbing and strangling him in the shower.Five years later, at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution, he murdered his own cellmate, Nicholas Anderson, in a gruesome attack involving strangulation and a homemade shank. Beamon showed zero remorse. He openly boasted about his crimes, declared his hatred for “monsters,” and even begged judges to send him to death row—vowing he would keep killing if they didn’t. He ultimately received two death sentences on top of his life term.“50 Shades of Evil” is a podcast series brought to you by “Bloody Angola Podcast”.Chapters 03:02 Early Life of Rocky Beeman06:55 The Murder of Deborah Lacey14:30 Discovery and Arrest 20:54 The Murder of Bruce Hunsicker23:02 Second Murder: Nicholas Anderson28:48 Trials and Sentencing30:13 Rocky Beeman's DeathJoin Bloody Angola on Patreon for Commercial Free Early Releases and more here: www.patreon.com/bloodyangolapodcast
