The odds of the Miami Dolphins going into Buffalo Thursday night winning that football game are slim. We know that now. All kinds of things happen in football in a long season. Good teams will lose to bad teams, vice versa. It happens. But in this circumstance of a short week going on the road, everything is against the Dolphins.

It's always good to see you. A little early season chat. Maybe it's what the Dolphins need or maybe not, but it's good to see you.

All right. We always talk Dolphins, we, we talk about this rivalry, whatever it is, but with the Dolphins this year, and I know it's only two games in, got to start, big picture. I got to start with Mike McDaniel. You know, obviously hot seats, all those things have been talked about for a while. The way it's going right now. Is he in trouble now as the head coach of the team?
Will Manso (1:20)
You know, it's a great question, Mike, because I don't think anybody knows the answer, but I think everybody wonders what the answer is like. We don't get to talked to Stephen Ross, the owner of the Dolphins much. He released a statement at the end of last year. We haven't talked to him on camera in a couple of years. We could only go by the timeline. I take you back to August 30th of last year. A little over a year ago, Stephen Ross gave Mike McDaniel contract extension. So you're talking about a contract extension a little over a year ago, a team that had come off back to back playoff appearances, still without a win in a quarter century. But appearances, it seemed like Mike McDaniel was the guy to lead this team to the future. And now they have a non playoff season, they struggle, you know, they obviously don't make the postseason. Last year, all the talk about culture, the off season, things changing and they go out and they, you know, lose to Indianapolis in an embarrassing way in the opener and then give away a game against the Patriots in their home opener on Sunday. And now you face the Bills team, which I know we'll talk about, they had no success against in recent history under McDaniel under Tua, under any of this regime right now in this core. So the easiest answer is yes, I think his job is very much in jeopardy. Do I think he gets fired if they lose to the Bills on Thursday? Nightfall though in 3? I still am in the belief that he doesn't and that they'll give this a little bit more into the season because what's the rush at this point? But if they get embarrassed on national television, Amazon prime, game, all, whatever you want to talk about, the game of the night, the only game that anybody's going to have eyeballs on and they're owing 3, there's chance Steven Ross's I'm going to pull a plug on this and let's try something else to say this season.
