And so we were thinking about what we wanted to do today content wise. And the NFL once again is releasing their NFL top 100 list which is voted on by the players. They are through 83 players so far or 80. Yeah, 83. So they're releasing it little by little like they always do.

Anybody to note like if you've got the list there, you know, because sometimes when we look at this list, first of all, they did it last year where they changed the way they do it. They, it's really, you know, it comes out in drips here, but where they start from a hundred and go up and they, they do stretch out the content all summer long.

So it says it's voted on by the players. Two players will be revealed at 10am Eastern and 11am Eastern Monday through Friday from June 22 to August 21 before the top 10 players are being revealed each weekday beginning at 10am The August 24 through September 4 leading up obviously to the game. So I wanted to look at this and this is again, this is a little bit like Pro bowl voting. This is not an end all be all to get all upset about, but it's content.

And I thought this was something that we could take a look at from the Bill's microscope.

So I asked Mike and I was texting him today and I said I wanted to look at players who are, we think Bill's players that are 100% on the list, players that who are not on the list but could have been. And then who could you see being on the list next year? And before we get into that, because it's kind of the no, duh. Any player that has a career year this year could be on the year next year. We're talking about what do you actually think is realistic that could happen? So Bills players, we also have the list for the last, I wrote down for the last three years, Bills players that have been on the list going back to 2023. And I want you guys to also to comment in who you Think's on the list. If you want to say where you think they rank things like that. This is not the end all be all. Because we already had Bryce Young. Brock pie is 85.

Quinton Nelson is 99.

Injuries have really impacted him because if you remember, like Quinton Nelson was the number one guard in the league.

Absolutely. Bryce Young is 98.

And he threw for 3,000 yards last year.

Okay, I'm going to start by saying this. When Josh first made it, I didn't think he was one of the top 100 players in the NFL.

Still hadn't thrown for 300 yards in a game.

Yeah. And I just thought, obviously, quarterbacks are overvalued in this. The fact that Bryce Young is a top 100 player is asinine to me. But we know how important quarterbacks are in this, in the league and how players get voted on by themselves. So, like, yes, don't take this as. This isn't some like, clickbait to be like, oh, let's all get upset about where they are. But it's a little bit like Pro bowl voting. Shador Sanders was a Pro bowl quarterback. Okay.

Like, but the difference with those is sometimes that's three guys who don't want to go to the Pro bowl voted. And I do think players may look at this a little differently because the Pro bowl is about that week and it's teammates and the whole thing. This, they just vote. And I do think majority of the players, you may quibble a little bit and say, you know, where would Bryce Young be? What do you have? 120. Do you know what I mean?

Right. So he's on the list. He made it in that way. But it is. And we're going to talk about this. It is interesting where the Bills are in this valuation by the rest of the league of their players.

Yes. So they are through 83 players. And the reason it got brought up was because. And I know people like to get worked up online. I don't know if you know that. And I wasn't trying to do this as a hot take, but Jeffrey Simmons was just listed at 83. And I saw a lot of smart people that I respect. Benjamin Solak was another guy that I saw that like, had him. He said, I wrote it down on a napkin. Like what he thought Jeffrey Simmons was. He had him as the 18th best player in the league last year. It's not the sexiest position. You know, he doesn't play tonight. Mike Giardi Tweeted out he'd have a hard time finding like any defensive lineman who played better last year than Jeffrey Simmons.

So again, I wanted to take this with a grain of salt. I wanted to get the audience's opinion what you guys think about who would land on the list. So again, the list was. Or the prompt. The topic today was who's on the list. Who we think could have been, but we don't think they are. And then who could be on the list for next year. So I have written down, I have eight players that to me fit this criteria, Mike.

I think there's a few players who I might have thought before we knew the first 17 that could have been there. Let's see. I think once you get down to like in the high 60s, it's. Do you know what I mean? Like there's times like Bryce Young, like where you said where he sort of made it in the 90s. Okay. We've had players do that. I think James Cook last year was

Josh, the year he made it. And this way comment on this too. If you remember when Josh Made It Night 2019 season, he was number 87. He threw for 3,000 yards and 20 touchdowns. Now, what did Bryce Young have?

So Bryce Young was 3,000 yards, 23 touchdowns, 11 interceptions.

So that's where I think maybe the Pro bowl analogy isn't right. Because you're right, Mike, that there are players that like get it because other players are not. But part of this is, it's the

It's also your brand. Okay, so I say that point because. And I'm not trying to tip my hand here, but I'm saying you could be a really. I. There's no question that Osiris Torrance is not on this list, but I think that he is one of the top seven guards in the NFL. Yes, but the casual fan. Most people are not talking about Osiris Torrance.

So, like, that's kind of where I look at this a little bit. So if you want to start the list, I think we both agree that Josh is going to be on the list. He will be top 10, in my opinion. Mike. Last year he was number three. The year before that, he was 12. Back in 2023, he was eight. So he went eight 12, three to this year.

So is that your hot take, that Josh Allen is going to be on the list? I mean, where do you think he's going to be?

So it may be tough to say he's the MVP and he's not the best quarterback. I. I think I've. We've used that take.

I'm looking at the list from last year. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I cannot find a guard. Yeah.

Yeah. Creed Humphreys was on the list one of the years. So there was a center.

And there was only five tight ends. So, like, this goes back to where we've kind of talked about before. Of like where the league is, where, you know, where the players value the positions and the notoriety that goes along with it. So that's where I don't think it's any hot. Take that. Josh Allen's on there. I have three players. I have three players that I believe three Bills players that are on this list pretty confidently. How many players you have confidently that you think are on this list this year?

It's the only two that I'm confident. Deion was pretty high on the list last year.

42. It would be surprising to me if Deon. A little bit surprising if he was off the list. There was a narrative about Dion that he had fallen off. I don't know if the numbers really. He had some penalties. I don't know if the total numbers did. I'll say, first of all, I hope he's on the list. Dion loves stuff like that, and I think it's good for the team. But they would be the only guys I have on this top 100.

Then you got like, Jamar Jameer Gibbs was 27. Jacobs was 33. Mixing did have a good year the year before. 58. Bijan, 62. Bijan will be high on the list.

But those are the three that I had. And my point that I was kind of thinking about is that it's part of that notoriety, the brand beauty pageant that goes along with it. Deion is a face that people know. He has built his brand, you know, the protector of the league. Like, he's well known, well liked around the league, well respected around the league. That's part of what I think gets players on this list. Because if you wanted to make an argument that Spencer Brown had a better year as a tackle in Buffalo, I would. I would agree.

Okay, Spencer Brown. But Spencer's guys. But Spencer Brown doesn't have the notoriety, the brand that goes along with it,

I think could have seen Spencer Brown sneaking in where they've already been so far in the. In the. In the bottom 17, because there's. That's what's been picked so far.

So those were the. Those were the three I had in. And then I had one other guy that could have been on the list. I don't think he is, but I wouldn't be shocked.

I think it's partly stat related. I think it's partly. He is not the boisterous corner that. It's not fair to say that Christian Benford doesn't make plays because he's great with breaking up passes and all of those things. But it's just not. And maybe he slips in at 80. He had the pick six against Joe Burrow, like big moments like that last year. So I went to look at it. Last year there were seven cornerbacks taken.

Yep, seven. The year before that, it was five in 2024 and the year before that in 2023 there were nine.

Benford's a top 10 corner. It's a matter of do I think he's one of the best seven and the notoriety that goes with it.

So I'm looking at the corners from. From the ones who were on last year. Certain will be back. Stingley will be back. Mitchell will be back. DeJean will be back. Christian Gonzalez, I think will probably still be on it. Even though, you know, he got off. He was hurt and he got off to. I don't think Jalen Ramsey be on it and I don't think Trent McDuffie will be on it.

Like, Tyree Kill's not gonna be on the list because he was hurt. I guess. Who knows?

Well, Josh Palmer, if he goes for three, That's. That's not the point of this exercise that I'm trying to do. And again, this isn't the Bill Barnwell, like, looking at it from that side. I'm just looking at it like the normal trajectory of what this player could do and earn a spot on this list. It's a little bit of that projection as to how this season could go, where this player could end up.

Then all of a sudden, the Bills win that game in Houston. The offensive line plays great. Daniel Hunter and Will Anderson don't get a sack on Josh. The Bills win. And all of a sudden people are like, man, Spencer, you know, they break down the. Spencer Brown had a great game. That would be huge to start building the reputation and the resume to get Spencer Brown to that level. Because like I said, we were talking about it before. Dion Dawkins has been a really, really good tackle in the NFL in his time. Top five left tackle for sure. But when you have Stallworths that have been the tackles that are all pros, it is very tough to get over that. So I think Spencer Brown is one. Who else did you have? You go next?

The reason I say Kincaid is I look at the tight ends. Kincaid, tight ends put up numbers. You're there. If you look at the guys who were on the list last year, combination of age, injuries, bad seasons, like, it changes rapidly. I look at. Yes, obviously. Kelsey, by the way, Madison Square Garden for the wedding. That's super weird. Is it not?

In his career. But I could see a path where the Bills focus on him. He stays healthy, his numbers go up by 25%, 30% from what he's done. Maybe he stays on the field a little bit more. I'm just saying is you'd have to

Yeah. And I. I'm saying is that position. It's a little different than wide receiver. Like, you want to make it a wide receiver, you got to put up some numbers. You got to put up big numbers to make it a wide receiver. Like that is. Everybody focuses on those numbers.

And I think that's the case. So I would. I know you were on Team Kincaid for this year. I was a little surprised you didn't go there.

I'm on team Kincaid. I think he's got too many people in front of him. Where last year there was. Like we said, there was only five tight ends. I don't think the league respects that position enough in that.

And I say this because if DJ Moore has a thousand yards, he will be a top 100 player. He has a little bit of that name, he has a little bit of that brand. And I think any. I'll take it a step further, Mike. Any wide receiver in Buffalo that has a thousand yards or will get on this list the next year. If, If Shakir has a thousand and nine yards and six touchdowns, I can see him being the 98th player. I mean, that's possible because to. Like you said, to put up some stats to hit that threshold.

Look at, look at the guys. Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, aman Ran Brown, AJ Brown, Nick Nico Collins from 15. Even last year he still had 1100 yards. CD Lamb, Puka, Mike Evans, Tyreek, Terry McLaren, Brian Thomas would be an example there. Guy who shot up and was coming off his great rookie year.

Malik Neighbors, another guy from his rookie year and then whatever. And then T. Higgins, Jerry, Judy Drake, London. I guess he's in that mode, right?
