Podcast Host 1
Welcome in to episode 7 of Back of the Bus podcast. That's all I got.
Podcast Host 2
Let's start.
Podcast Host 1
They want me to bring it in. I'm passing off to Mitch. Go, Mitch.
Mitch
Yeah. So we. This is our seventh episode. We have a massive guest for you today. This was actually recorded when he was in the office, but we have the one and the only George Kittle, which is massive for the boys. He. He actually asked to come on this pod, which is. So we're gaining momentum.
Podcast Host 3
Also got confirmation from him that he wants to be our first reoccurring guest.
Mitch
Yeah, that's awesome. And he may or may not be sending us some memorabilia. And as you can tell, our set is kind of getting better. Oh, yeah, they did, Thomas. But yeah, he's gonna be sending us some, some memorabilia. And eventually it'll be up here for our. For our guest wall. But yeah, we're gaining momentum. We're having fun. This is a lot of fun.
Podcast Host 2
Sounds like it.
Podcast Host 4
We enjoy. We enjoy doing this.
Mitch
What do we want to talk about?
Podcast Host 2
Well, I mean, we can talk about how it went with our first guest, Thomas. I thought it was pretty sweet. Dude dropped bars. If you haven't watched that episode, go back and watch. Yes, it was pretty cool. I feel like with the guest, since this is our second one, we're finding a little bit of a rhythm. It helps us not have any dead air and it actually does sound like we're having fun. And in the comments, I think. Let me back up. Jack started a really good segment. So in the comments, if you want us to continue the sandwich talk, drop us. Drop your favorite sandwich in the chat and. But this weekend there's something that's hype going on. It's Mitch's birthday.
Mitch
It is my birthday, so jobs in.
Podcast Host 2
The chat as well.
Mitch
Yeah. So when this comes out, it'll be last weekend. Yeah. It'll be this past.
Podcast Host 5
Hope your birthday was fun.
Mitch
Yeah, it was fun.
Podcast Host 2
Jack's pissed about it, so get invited.
Mitch
This was. Was it two episodes ago, episode five, when we talked about me not inviting Coop to the party with the interns. Coop is actually coming on the boat with us. He made.
Podcast Host 1
We're dialed.
Mitch
We. We. I'm making it up to him and we are about to have a hell of a time. I said he. I had him at cliff jumping. It's going to be. It's going to be awesome.
Podcast Host 1
I'm jumping.
Podcast Host 4
Insert a picture of you guys on the boat together right there.
Podcast Host 3
Insert screenshot of Mitch and Coop jumping off the cliff together, holding screenshot from the video, holding hands, both mouth open, about to enter the wall.
Podcast Host 4
And now slow Mo video.
Podcast Host 5
I think there's a mandatory Instagram collab that.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Mitch
Oh, absolutely.
Podcast Host 2
Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
And that's not like a Sunday post. That's midday on the water.
Mitch
Right.
Podcast Host 5
Or does it even mean anything?
Podcast Host 3
Because, Jack, what content works best on busing in? Like, you know, we're traveling, you know, like collab. Real time.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah, in real time. And that's why I run our socials. Yeah. So we do need a clap pose, for sure.
Mitch
Oh, absolutely. It'll be Cooper and I shaking hands on the. Because it'll be a double decker boat. It'll be us, too.
Podcast Host 1
Set the stage, send the invite all.
Mitch
It'll be us through shaking hands, making up for it, and then us holding hands, going off the.
Podcast Host 4
Yeah.
Mitch
Going off the jumps. Maybe a couple beers deep.
Podcast Host 3
Something that. I don't know if they should have rubbed me the wrong way or not. I'm not involved in the situation. But I did. I did just find out that coop is paying $100 to go on the boat. And now I'm wondering how much we also. No, I mean, you know, Mitch paid his due, but when you're inviting somebody to the boat. And we also did find out he was your third option.
Mitch
I mean. No. Yes. But.
Podcast Host 1
They'Re not turning me against you right now.
Mitch
That's what they're trying to do here.
Podcast Host 3
I don't mean to pit this, but when you guys. How do y' all feel on the Invite things. Because I know, like, for rich people, say Will or Taylor, if they have a birthday party and they invite people out to dinner, that they pay for everything.
Mitch
The rich.
Podcast Host 3
I know that. I'm not saying that you should do it, but I'm saying what level of money or what level of status do you think you need to get to. To be inviting, like, people to.
Podcast Host 6
To dinner?
Podcast Host 2
Did Delaney have to pay for racing with your brother?
Podcast Host 1
No. No. Oh, but if Mitch would have made me pay or not made me pay, like, hey, like, I got you. I would have been like, I'm good. Like, I'm not good.
Mitch
I'm not going.
Podcast Host 1
Like, honestly, paying is, like, a plus, because then I feel like I'm part of. Like, I'm. I'm just like everyone else.
Podcast Host 3
Paying is a plus. Quote graphic.
Podcast Host 1
If I was the only one who didn't pay, that would just be. You know what I'm saying?
Mitch
No. Yeah, I did.
Podcast Host 6
Was like, he showed me proof.
Podcast Host 1
Like, everyone's paid already.
Mitch
Yeah. I was like, hey, Coop, like, let.
Podcast Host 3
Me see the receipts. How do you make sure. Yeah, everyone's actually paying 100.
Mitch
I was like, cooper, want to make this up to you?
Podcast Host 2
Like, three other people, they said, no, do you want to go?
Mitch
No, I didn't. I said, coop, I want to make this up to you. Would you like to come on the boat this weekend? However, it is $100. Like, I didn't want to be. Like, if you don't want. If you didn't want to come, that's completely fine. Like, obviously, $100 is $100. Especially when we don't. We're not paid.
Podcast Host 2
Like, does Coupe have to bring his own alcohol or is.
Mitch
No, I mean, we'll have. We'll have, like, plenty of alcohol and stuff.
Podcast Host 2
Trying to save me money.
Podcast Host 3
I'll bring some stuff.
Mitch
No, I mean, Coops is gonna bring the vibes. He's gonna. I mean.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah, he's impact player when it comes to.
Mitch
Actually, the one thing you do need to bring.
Podcast Host 2
Sunscreen.
Mitch
Sunscreen.
Podcast Host 1
No, I gotta go buy some sunscreen. Yes.
Podcast Host 3
No sunscreen.
Mitch
I'm just looking at somebody.
Podcast Host 1
No sunscreen. I was peeling for, like, the last two weeks.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 1
So Memorial weekend was bad. I turned red.
Mitch
Yeah, we. We gotta. I don't want you to get burnt. And it's gonna be. Luckily we're going in lightweight.
Podcast Host 2
Where y' all going?
Mitch
Percy priest.
Podcast Host 2
Percy Priest.
Podcast Host 3
30 minutes. You see Midget and then put it on.
Podcast Host 2
Snap a flick.
Podcast Host 1
I mean, the water.
Podcast Host 2
I'm saying if. If all of our Fans are like 5 million listeners.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah. Even already.
Mitch
But the only thing that stinks is like the.
Podcast Host 2
Oh yeah.
Mitch
The like the hours are like you can go at 9:45:1 or like 4:30. And the 1:00 clock slot was already like booked. So I figured if we. I had 9:45 or at 4. I feel like if 4 we're gonna be kind of like waiting all day and I'm sure like we'll be like drinking and stuff beforehand. We might be a little bit too tuned up to go on the boats. Like 9:45. Like I think that's a good start. Plus it's supposed to be like 95 degrees on Saturday.
Podcast Host 1
I was really sold on 9:45.
Mitch
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And like. Yeah, I think we might be like one of the earlier people out on the water which like there's like a little party cove where everybody kind of docks up. But I don't know, there's going to.
Podcast Host 5
Be people out there.
Podcast Host 3
It's going to be packed. I feel like.
Podcast Host 5
For sure. Honestly, one even feels late to get out on the water.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
So I think you guys are in the pocket.
Podcast Host 1
How long are you a great time?
Mitch
It's like three. The, the next, the next ride is at one. So we go off at 9:45. So like.
Podcast Host 5
Oh, gotcha. So you have just that time. So I got to be back with the boat.
Podcast Host 1
Yeah.
Mitch
Cuz and it's nice too because like shout out Rowdy's Wild Rides. No free shout outs. But they, they have sponsor. Yeah. They have this shuttle, like the shuttle service that they'll come pick us up at the house and then they'll drop.
Podcast Host 3
Oh yeah.
Podcast Host 4
Drop us off electric.
Mitch
That and that's like that, that was an extra 200 bucks, but for me. No, but I do like if you think about all the Ubers that we're gonna have to get from Percy.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
No, that's awesome.
Mitch
I think. Sure. Definitely saving money for sure.
Podcast Host 4
How many people are.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, okay.
Podcast Host 4
That's a, that's a good price.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 4
It's a hundred per.
Mitch
Yep.
Podcast Host 4
Yeah.
Mitch
So I mean, I think it's gonna be.
Podcast Host 3
We need to buy a boat. Dude.
Podcast Host 1
Can I park my truck at your house?
Mitch
Yeah, for sure.
Podcast Host 1
There's like street parking.
Mitch
Yeah. You've been before.
Podcast Host 2
You remember he lives on the hill.
Podcast Host 3
He lives in Will's old house basically.
Mitch
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. There's plenty of spots. And then there's like that gravel lot behind that you can park in. I think Jack's the only one hasn't been to my house. Yet.
Podcast Host 5
Oh, have you been to my house?
Mitch
The one that I bought You Just got it.
Podcast Host 5
Well, it's been a month.
Mitch
I've been here for nine months.
Podcast Host 5
All right, well, do you rent or do you own?
Mitch
I rent.
Podcast Host 5
Well, type shit.
Mitch
Didn't need to get so hostile.
Podcast Host 6
Oh.
Podcast Host 5
I mean, damn. I thought we could just have fun here, but we do have.
Podcast Host 2
We are having fun.
Podcast Host 4
We have fun.
Podcast Host 2
We're having a lot of fun.
Podcast Host 5
And just to clarify, you started that.
Mitch
No, I know.
Podcast Host 1
This is real.
Podcast Host 5
Is this real?
Mitch
I don't think it's real. I was just trying to be, like, one of those things where, like, Jack doesn't know my friends. But. But, I mean, it's just. It was just good fun.
Podcast Host 3
We digress. Mitch, you're turning 27.
Mitch
27.
Podcast Host 6
Holy old.
Podcast Host 3
I'm trying to think, what can we do for. What can we do for me? So do you have any, like, outside of work or maybe even a work highlight of year? 26.
Mitch
26.
Podcast Host 2
I mean, I already know.
Podcast Host 3
But you.
Podcast Host 2
Got what his would be. It's the 40.
Mitch
No, that. Because I still get chirps on the Internet. Like, oh, you wrote a five. Three, bro.
Podcast Host 2
There's proof.
Mitch
Exactly what I'm saying. There's. There's tape. Check the tape.
Podcast Host 3
It's never enough for the Internet.
Mitch
I know. Honestly, it's gonna sound, like, kind of dumb, but it has to be, like, a signing with FanDuel and, like, the bonus and everything. I mean, that's. I mean, that's life changing money. But if we're gonna, like, do it, like an experience with, like. We're talking about work experience.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Mitch
Yeah. 40. The Super bowl is kind of mid.
Podcast Host 2
Why? Because your Chiefs lost?
Mitch
No, just New Orleans.
Podcast Host 3
Everyone was sick.
Mitch
Yeah. And, like, me and Sherm, I don't know how you were, but I was like, obviously, it's known that I hate throwing up, so I was bugging the entire time.
Podcast Host 4
He was nervous to catch if it was a bug or food poison.
Mitch
Yeah. Where do we.
Podcast Host 2
Is that why y' all ate at the same place every single day?
Mitch
Yeah. Yeah. Sherman.
Podcast Host 4
I went on, and we got something new on the menu every day.
Mitch
Honestly, the trip out to Oregon.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah.
Mitch
So sick. Even though it's like. It might be recency bias, but that was. That was awesome. I mean, I didn't. The only fall tour I went to was the Alabama Tennessee game. That was sick as well.
Podcast Host 2
Oh, yeah.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
I was stoked that you got to go to Oregon because we've been before and.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
You guys, anyone's going to Love that place.

Let's create, especially me, all the gear. I was going to say especially me being the neon kid in high school.
Podcast Host 2
We need that photo.
Mitch
Yeah, no, Oregon was that, that was awesome. But personal life, probably getting my girlfriend.
Podcast Host 3
Shout out Brooke, dang, that is just within the year.
Mitch
Well, no, I, I, we started dating maybe right before my birthday when I was 25, but like this actually I'll reset going out to San Diego with her and that was meeting the famous.
Podcast Host 3
Where were you? Stevenson Rangers.
Mitch
Yeah. Yeah. Ironically enough everybody, I don't know if you guys know, I'm a massive Mike fan. I'm a Steve. And ironically enough, Brooke is from Stevenson Ranch, California, which is like something premeditated. Yeah, yeah, obviously I knew that before pch.
Podcast Host 2
Yeah, PCH drop trying to lick on my P Street.
Mitch
But yeah, and then that was, we were able to go out to San Diego and then that was the first time we said I love you to each other. So let's go.
Podcast Host 2
Hey, you went to that same coffee spot that we went to send me a photo.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah, and that's it. So that was in year 26.
Mitch
That, that was in year 26. We started dating when I was 25. But how'd you.
Podcast Host 4
Could you run us through how you said it?
Mitch
Yeah, so we, we do these things. Like we, when we were like talking and first started dating, we did these things called like, I don't know if it's like we're not really strangers but like, you know those things.
Podcast Host 3
Dude, literally on My tick tock, the last probably three weeks is Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. Which side note, Hell yeah, that should never happen. Yeah, Benny Blanco, dude, the stories that I hear of him.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 1
You ride for me?
Podcast Host 4
Really?
Podcast Host 3
Yeah. If you want to ride for Betty Blanco, you can stay over there.
Podcast Host 4
I wanna. I kind of want to hear.
Mitch
What.
Podcast Host 4
Yeah, where are the stories?
Mitch
Not that he's bad, he's just weird.
Podcast Host 3
He's greasy, He's Jared.
Podcast Host 1
Selena Gomez caliber.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah, right.
Podcast Host 5
I mean, he's written though, like every no Doubt hit for the last 20 years.
Mitch
No doubt.
Podcast Host 1
I don't know if that's JP's point.
Podcast Host 3
Though, the way he looked. Look, but I've also heard character things.
Podcast Host 2
Okay.
Mitch
It's not like. It's not like he's like, necessarily done anything bad. He's just like, kind of like a weirdo.
Podcast Host 6
I'd love.
Podcast Host 3
I'd love to have him on the podcast. We could talk about it.
Podcast Host 2
Yeah, Benny, we'll put you.
Podcast Host 1
Come on, you greasy golf boy. Get on the pod.
Mitch
But, yeah, so we've done. We did like these questions where like, you just kind of like, get to know each other more. And then I knew I was going to do it because, like, San Diego is where she went to college. It's like she lived there for like a year, year and a half. And we went into the harbor and we were like, doing these questions. I was like, all right, I have one more question. And then I was like, the question was, how do you know? How do you know? How do you know that you're in love? Was the question. And I was like, I wanted to ask it, but I kept getting like, cold feet and I got scared. So then I was like, all right, one more. All right, one more. And then I finally did it and.
Podcast Host 3
Y' all ran out of cards, you know, dead ass.
Mitch
And I was. I was like, so how do you know that you're in love with somebody? And then she, like, gave her answer, but she's. And then she was like, have you always been the first one to say I love you in your relationship? And I was like, yes, I have.
Podcast Host 3
Type of. Me too.
Mitch
And she's like, yeah, I've always been like. I have never said it first, but I want to say it first to you. So I was like, you stole my thunder. But then, yeah, so that's how we said it. We were having like a picnic on in the harbor. Got like, pizza. It's like the perfect sunset. I mean, San Diego is just unreal.
Podcast Host 3
But, yeah, you're 26 was. I love you. You're 27.
Mitch
No.
Podcast Host 6
Will you.
Mitch
Moving. Moving in will be year 27. Moving in together will be year 27.
Podcast Host 3
Mitch has been on Zillow recently. Brooke, if you're listening, she's been on Zillow with me.
Mitch
So there you go. Oh, but, yeah, I love it. That's our love story.
Podcast Host 2
You have a. Like, there's a high ceiling for where you all are going to live. You've lived in some insane places.
Podcast Host 3
So for those that don't know Mitch, how long you lived, Minimum of three.
Podcast Host 2
Stories in Mitch's crib.
Mitch
Three years and September.
Podcast Host 3
Mitch has lived here for three years. You've been in what, six places?
Mitch
No, this is my third.
Podcast Host 2
No, there was, like, three and six months.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah. You moved, like, four times.
Mitch
No. So I was in my apartment building for six months by myself, and then Foul moved down, and then I was there for another year. So I was in my apartment for 18 months, and then I was moved into the house in east for, like, four months. Four. Yeah. Literally four months. And then from the east house, we moved to this house. Oh, to the house. So, yeah, three. Three house. Three places in three years.
Podcast Host 3
Good deal.
Podcast Host 2
The one in east was crazy.
Mitch
The one in east was.
Podcast Host 3
This one is nuts, too. That he's in.
Podcast Host 2
I think the one in east was bigger.
Mitch
I think the one in east was definitely bigger, but it was made of paper airplanes. Yeah. Yeah.
Podcast Host 4
Well, it was also. It wasn't just the house. The decor at the one on east was crazy. It looks like a magazine.
Mitch
It came. It did come furnished.
Podcast Host 4
Oh, yeah.
Podcast Host 1
I remember what it looked like.
Podcast Host 2
But remember, you pulled up and you had your sleeves off.
Podcast Host 3
That was the.
Meta AI Representative
His.
Podcast Host 3
That's his one right now. No, no, no, that's the other one.
Podcast Host 1
Yeah, I do remember.
Mitch
That was when you two just tall.
Podcast Host 2
Yeah, yeah.
Podcast Host 4
And I rolled up. Yeah, I rolled up.
Mitch
That wasn't. But then you showed up again for the Fourth of July. Did you. Were you there for Fourth of July? Were you. And you weren't there for Fourth of July?
Podcast Host 1
No, no.
Mitch
I think.
Podcast Host 4
I think I was the only one.
Mitch
Yeah. You and Jill.
Podcast Host 1
I went to the house one time.
Mitch
Yeah. Yeah.
Podcast Host 4
As soon as I rolled in that first time with y' all to. I walk in that living room, I go, somebody's girlfriend lives here. Like, this is crazy.
Mitch
Yeah, it came furnished. And I did not pick out that house. That was Shaz and Perlu and Ryan. They all picked out that house. And then the three of them lived in there. And then Per moved out to New Orleans. So then foul and I moved in, took his. His spot. And like, it saved Schles and Ryan money. It saved us money. So it was like, it was perfect. And Jared had been. Jared was probably there the most.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah.
Mitch
I was about to say side note, as someone that toured houses with you. Yes. The houses that Mitch picks out. I mean, dude, we were literally touring. Like, you'd think, like, they're like Mark. Mark Zuckerberg's like, little property. Like, they were ridiculous, but they weren't. Like, we would look, we would do pricing and they weren't.
Podcast Host 6
No.
Mitch
And Mitch is also so organized on the house search. He had a Google sheet, had it by price, like a rating system. But they're penthouse.
Podcast Host 3
You can live anywhere.
Mitch
Oh, exactly. Like the house that we're living in right now is we have four people. And it was. I mean, I don't really care. It's 4.500for split between four people. And Mitch actually does his research.
Podcast Host 3
1.5 mil, I think I looked it.
Mitch
Up and I think it's like 800.
Podcast Host 3
Dang. Market going down.
Podcast Host 2
Street parking. Took it down.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
Hell.
Mitch
But yeah.
Podcast Host 3
Sewage flooding.
Mitch
But it's so random because, like, you have the, like these crazy houses, then you just have like a little like a house that's been there for a minute and you know it.
Podcast Host 3
Right.
Mitch
Just the owners don't want to give it up. But yeah, that was when Jared and I, me, Jared and foul are going to live together. We toured a bunch of houses. We. We've toured at least like six or seven places. And then Jared was like, listen, I'm going to have to pay four months double rent. I don't think this is going to work. Yeah. And Mitch tried to make it work. Mitch, like, tried to get the cost of the house so low that it would make up for it and the money I would save alone. But like, Mitch had this shit.
Podcast Host 3
Like, Mitch is about to be running a dormitory.
Mitch
Dude, Mitch had it planned out. The only reason it just made. No, I was like, this just. I can't justify just wasting like $8,000. Yeah. To live with y' all, like to double pay rent. But yeah. So that kind of knows. That kind of goes back to show how. How much. How long Jared and I have known each other. But. Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
Fire. Great year.
Mitch
Great year.
Podcast Host 3
Great year. Great year ahead.
Mitch
Excited for 27. And what. What's going to come? I have no idea.
Podcast Host 3
Let's go.
Mitch
But it'll be. It'll be a good part.
Podcast Host 4
Maybe since it's your birthday. We don't all do. Our favorite sandwich, but we just get Mitch's favorite sandwich.
Podcast Host 3
For sure.
Podcast Host 4
It's his birthday on three.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
One, two, three.
Podcast Host 4
Peanut butter.
Mitch
Yep.
Podcast Host 4
Yes.
Mitch
Yep.
Podcast Host 3
You got to get some.
Podcast Host 2
Insert video photo.
Podcast Host 3
Actually, what we need, Mitch, is a photo of you in your birthday post with a PB and J in front of you with a candle in it.
Mitch
That would be.
Podcast Host 1
I mean, that is a good idea.
Mitch
I. That or just a fat cookie.
Podcast Host 4
Yeah, sure. Or in your.
Podcast Host 3
That works.
Podcast Host 4
In your picture with Coop. Just hold. Hold your hand out with your picture with Coop and we'll soar a PB&J with the can.
Mitch
That'd be.
Podcast Host 1
I guess I can't just edit it.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah, we saw the chat GPT. I don't know if y' all saw my story last night. It's not good for the brain when you use chat GPT a certain amount through that quick. It's great. Your brain activity. It's. It goes great pretty much. As opposed to when you're creating something on your own. There's all the different stuff going on in the brain. Just be wary out there of you Chad. Gbt. Obviously useful, but don't abuse it. Oh, hey, don't abuse it.
Podcast Host 4
The boat with Coop. Take a picture with him, but hold your hand up. We'll have Coop put a PBJ with a candle in it.
Mitch
Yeah, I think. Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
Good. I a good.
Mitch
If you. If there's another thing you want to bring, you could bring a PBJ to. That would be perfect.
Podcast Host 3
How long we've been going.
Podcast Host 2
Jared BYO PBMJ21.
Mitch
Probably good.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah, it's probably good.
Mitch
Yeah. So we had. Obviously, we had George Kittle. We got. I mean, it was. I personally didn't ask a lot of questions because I was intimidated. It's the first interview we've ever done. He did.
Podcast Host 3
Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.
Mitch
He. It was a rough showing for me.
Podcast Host 1
He bodied me, too. When I said you kind of stood your ground, I wish I was ready with it because I was like, cardinals were 2 and oh against y' all last year. He's like, oh, what about the years before that? I looked it up. 5 and 5 in the last 10 games.
Podcast Host 4
So.
Podcast Host 1
Okay, so what's he talking about?
Podcast Host 2
We.
Podcast Host 1
We kind of own the Niners, no matter how good they are.
Podcast Host 2
Let's go, K1.
Podcast Host 3
So I love it.
Podcast Host 1
So jot that down.
Mitch
Enjoy this George Kittle interview and we will see y' all next week.
Podcast Host 4
See you next week. We have fun on this podcast. We're having fun, guaranteed.
Podcast Host 2
That's the title.
Podcast Host 4
That's it.
Podcast Host 3
We like each other.
Podcast Host 4
That's the title of the episode.
Podcast Host 2
Having fun with George Kittle.

All right.
Podcast Host 2
Welcome back to episode six of Back of the Bus. Today is a very special episode. We have our very first guest, none other than George Kittle.
Podcast Host 6
Hey, everybody.
Podcast Host 5
Let'S go.
Podcast Host 6
It's a big bus you guys got back here.
Podcast Host 2
It really is pretty nice, huh?
Podcast Host 6
I know. Much, much better where Taylor and Will sit.
Podcast Host 2
Yeah. Is your chair much comfortable on this show or on the bus?
Mitch
Granted, you're in between two people.
Podcast Host 6
I'm definitely more comfortable right now. Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
That's what we want to hear. That's what we want to hear. So for all the other potential guests out there, it is very welcoming.
Podcast Host 6
You've been on the bus. You might as well go to the back of the bus.
Podcast Host 2
Amen.
Podcast Host 6
Right? That's where the work's done.
Mitch
Yeah, absolutely.
Podcast Host 3
When you had. When you first heard of Back at the Bus or first had the opportunity.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
What were your first thoughts?
Podcast Host 6
I was excited because from all the times I've been on the bus and chirp with you guys from the back of the bus, I always knew that you guys are pretty good at what you do. So the fact that you guys now get to do this stuff, you're gonna have some. You're gonna have a lot of fun up on this.
Mitch
This is going to be so much fun. This is like. It was like a brainchild of mine. And like all of us, for, I don't know, for how long? And then we finally were like, it. Let's just send it.
Podcast Host 6
It's fantastic.
Podcast Host 2
Mitch got us rolling for sure. Mitch took it upon himself to get everything set up.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
This beautiful studio.
Mitch
We need to. We need to get something. We need a George.
Podcast Host 5
We might need a George Kittle jersey.
Podcast Host 6
That's easy. I got you.
Podcast Host 5
That would be huge. It would be our main focal point of the set design. Middle.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, you know, like they. You know those artists do murals and stuff. You just do a back of the bus mural.
Mitch
That would be.
Podcast Host 5
I mean, just you under. Like we're all under your arms. You're just kind of like, I'm holding you.
Podcast Host 6
My children.
Podcast Host 2
Have you seen our logo?
Podcast Host 6
I think so. Yeah. It looks like Back to the future is.
Podcast Host 3
Yes.
Podcast Host 6
That's actually right.
Mitch
That was cool.
Podcast Host 1
I'm glad you got.
Podcast Host 2
Hey, what about this? Let's think about this. Since you are our first guest.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
We add George into the bus for the episode.
Podcast Host 5
Oh, like the graphics.
Podcast Host 3
Oh, yeah.
Podcast Host 6
Those are cool.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
When people do that, I think that's a good vibe. Can it just be me holding you guys all like my kids.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Mitch
My.
Podcast Host 5
Maybe all the bus overhead press. How much are you benching right now?
Podcast Host 6
I don't really bench. I do dumbbell bench press now.
Podcast Host 5
Oh, okay. Where you got there?
Podcast Host 6
Like 140 for three. Damn. All right, 140 for three.
Podcast Host 2
What do you got on?
Podcast Host 1
What?
Podcast Host 3
Well, there's beef here too, because when George came on the bus, he said, who's the guy with the cardinal shirt?
Mitch
I did. Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
Well, like now. I'll never forget him, though, right? Yeah. You made. That's a last impression. Yeah, I know.
Mitch
You were also. They.
Podcast Host 1
They went to and over San Fran last year also.
Podcast Host 6
How many years before that? I'm. You're new. You're probably a new fan. New to the team. It's a new fan. Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
Who's your favorite player? Who's your favorite player of all time?
Podcast Host 1
Larry Fitz.
Mitch
Oh.
Podcast Host 6
As you should be. He's a monster. I ran into him last summer in Minnesota, and he was bigger than me. He was like 64255 and he doesn't even look like he's that big. I was like, you're a monster, dude.
Podcast Host 3
Who's your favorite player of all time?
Podcast Host 6
My favorite player of all time. Growing up, it was Ricky Williams. Ricky Williams was my favorite player, actually. I got to talk to him on Was it hey K Adams show. Like, he was the next guest after me and I just.
Podcast Host 3
Okay.
Podcast Host 6
I just sat on the show. I Was like, can I just like not hang up and like sit here for five minutes? She's like, yeah, for sure. And I just talked to him. He was like, oh, you're. Dude, you're a legend. So yeah, Ricky Williams was one of my favorites. And then probably like Brian Erlacher or like Dallas Clark classic.
Podcast Host 5
What does it feel like when you grew up in like this league where the Titan was more blocking position. Now you guys have kind of revolutionized the position and you get to hang out with the Dallas Clarks and all these like massive people you probably grew up playing with.
Podcast Host 6
So fucking sick. Like, we have Jeremy Shockey coming this year to tighten you and like blown away. So I'm so excited. Like I literally watched his highlight videos before a couple games last year. Just got me amped. So like, he's fantastic. Hang out with Dallas Clark is always a great time because he's an Iowa guy. Like just getting to kind of connect to the old school players who like. Because I mean, yeah, like 20 years ago, every. It was just like a. You're the sixth offensive lineman, right? Like, even if you were a smaller guy, you didn't make the league. And now it's just evolved into like, you got big guys, you got small guys, got the guys in the middle like me who do everything. It's just like the. The position's just. You get to do everything and you do everything at a high level. So I'm really enjoying it.
Podcast Host 2
It's got to be one of the best positions. And we've talked about it. Probably our collective favorite position group because of the vibes.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, dude. Yeah. Because Titans won, you're friends with the office of linemen. You're friends with the wide receivers, the running backs, the quarterbacks, all the defensive players. Like you're connected to everybody score touchdowns, I get to score touchdowns. I get a run routes, I get a run block, I get a pass pro, I get a pass pro. Divince of ends that make $100 million. Like, I enjoy doing everything. Some Titans throw passes.
Podcast Host 5
Would you rather catch a game winning TD or pancake flop? One of the best DNS in the league.
Podcast Host 6
The fact that you added the best defensive end in the league. I might take that one at this point. Yeah. If it was just a normal pancake, I would take a touchdown because stats is what get you paid. True. But no pancaking like a like perennial all pro guy is. That's a dream.
Podcast Host 5
And the good news is you guys won the game still.
Podcast Host 2
So I could just see George getting up Laughing.
Podcast Host 6
I do.
Podcast Host 2
That NFL sound bite would just be George laughing.
Podcast Host 6
I just. I cackle. Dude, I'm just like, I can't believe you let me do that to you.
Podcast Host 3
But would you be a little worried? No, I'm saying, but everything that comes after, like, hopefully it happens at the end of a game.
Podcast Host 6
No, no, I will do it early because then you just discourage him because I'm in his head for the rest.
Podcast Host 2
And talk. Yeah, you talk to the whole.
Podcast Host 6
I'm telling you, every D line room. You can ask any D line in this, their defensive cord, their defensive line coach going, don't care who this tight end is, you're going to beat his ass. We don't get blocked by tight ends. All this xyz. And then he has to sit on Monday and watch himself get pancaked by a tight end that's hard to beat.
Podcast Host 2
And it'll live forever on the Internet.
Podcast Host 6
Yep. I'm also in his head for the rest of his life.
Mitch
So when you're talking, are you more of like a mean talk kind of guy? Are you more like just kind of like fun friendly kind of jabs, just laughing at him?
Podcast Host 6
When you're 90% of it is friendly jabs and then 10% of it, like, if you say something really stupid to me, I. It's quick trigger at this point, okay? Like, I can't remember. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna name the kid, even though I'm picturing his face in his jersey and his name right now, but I'm not gonna name him.
Podcast Host 3
What color is that jersey?
Podcast Host 6
Green. Anyways, he was a rookie and like, I had to play. I had like a chip to like a release. And I'm like, the check down route on it. I chip him and as I release, he like just grabs me by the collar and throws me down to the ground. And I turn around, I look at him and he like turns around, he goes, yeah, sit the down, you. I looked at him and then a flag comes in because it's an obvious holding call. I looked at him, I was like, hey, hey, turn around. So I know what your name is, bud. I have no idea who you are. Who are you talking to right now? No one here knows you are. And then his coach is like, get over here. And he didn't play the rest of the game. I said, yeah, go back to your coach, sit on the bench and think about what you've done.
Mitch
That's one. That's one of the best terms, like, who even are you?
Podcast Host 6
Oh, Juice does That all the time to people. It's so funny. Like, he does it to everybody goes, who are you? Now nobody knows. I'm just like, oh, that one would like. I don't feel like that is. I've only said, like, once or twice. Most people aren't like. To me because I'm pretty friendly. But, like, for someone to say, like, sit down. I'm like, as a rookie. Yeah. Who the are you, bud?
Podcast Host 3
Is there any defensive guys that are hilarious to play against? Like, every week? It's not so much you're looking forward to the matchup, but you're like, yo, this guy is entertaining.
Podcast Host 6
Ooh, that's a good one.
Podcast Host 5
Like a defensive George Pickens type. Like, you're looking for those highlights.
Podcast Host 6
O. That's a really good question. There's a couple DBs that are always fun to go against because they just chirp the whole time, and then, like, I'll run at them to block them, and they run away from me, and they go, ah, man, get the away from me. K. I don't. I don't want none of these problems. Those ones are always fun. Like, there's a couple, like, D lineman that are always fun to play against. J.J. watt. No, T.J. watt. J.J. watt was really fun to play against when he was with the Cardinals a couple times because he just talks the whole game. And then TJ's fun, too, because we chipped on him every single play. No, this is a. We played them in Pittsburgh two years ago. We won the game, but, like, we chipped them every play except for three plays. And on those three plays, he had three sacks.
Mitch
Damn.
Podcast Host 6
And literally. But we chipped him all three the whole game. And he's so mad the whole game. He's like, dude, leave me alone. I'm like, never. He's like, you're mine, baby. You're mine. Those conversations are always really fun.
Podcast Host 5
I know we. We can talk about football all day, but I feel like that's probably. Yeah. Are you an amusement park or a water park guy?
Podcast Host 6
Water park.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
I get crazy motion sickness on roller coasters, but I still do them because they're really fun.
Podcast Host 5
What was the last water park that you visited?
Podcast Host 6
Oh, dude, couldn't even tell you. Probably, like, 10 years ago. Probably, like, somewhere in Iowa.
Podcast Host 5
Well, okay, so we've been floating this idea around. We've got these interns. You might have breezed by them at the end of summer. I've run it by Will, and we want to take them to Nashville Shores. I don't know if you've ever been. I've never been shores. It's a pretty, you know, B tier water park. B tier is really giving them flowers.
Podcast Host 6
That's awesome.
Podcast Host 5
But we're going to take everyone in the shop there at the end of the summer. You know, it might be too close to training camp, but if you're around, man, the invite is extended. If you want to come rip a water park.
Podcast Host 6
I love water parks.
Podcast Host 2
There's so much fun, people watching as you could imagine.
Podcast Host 6
Dude, it's fantastic. Are you kidding me?
Podcast Host 3
Concession stands hit different too at water parks.
Podcast Host 6
Dipping dots.
Podcast Host 4
We all got to wear goggles the entire time. That'd be incred. Oh yeah.
Podcast Host 6
I'm going to wear ski goggles.
Podcast Host 4
Oh yeah. Just be incredible.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, I'm in for that. That sounds like a great time. Water park. There's nothing like a good water park as a kid. Like, what's the hotel that has a water park in it? The Wolf Lodge. Yeah, Great Wolf Lodge. Shout out those guys. Like, there's nothing. I. I had to stay there one time like a year or two ago. Like the hotel books, I'm fell through and there's a Great Wolf Lodge in the same city. I was like, I'll stay there. I went down the waterside once. It was fantastic. It was like a Tuesday afternoon. No one was there. I was like, this is awesome.
Podcast Host 3
Just ripping the slide. No line.
Podcast Host 4
As far as professional fandom in the state of Iowa, who, like, what are the teams of that state growing up?
Podcast Host 6
So basically, did you have a choice? If you live in Iowa, you have, you're an Iowa football fan probably you're not an Iowa State fan. And then you either go to Minnesota, you go to Wisconsin, you go to Kansas City. Kansas City or you go to Chicago. Like, those are your four that you pick. And like that's just kind of how it is. My dad was a Bears fan, so I became a Bears fan and a Cubs fan. Like my dad's dad was a Vikings fan. I have a ton of friends who are. I mean, most of my wife's entire family is die hard packers fans. So that was, that was a fun transition to get them to be like, hey, stop cheering for the Packers.
Mitch
Right?
Podcast Host 6
Stop it. And they've all done a great job since then. Now they all have niner stuff. But yeah, no, I was, I grew up a Bears fan.
Podcast Host 2
I couldn't imagine living in a state and like having a pool for a state team in another state.
Podcast Host 6
It's. It's really weird.
Podcast Host 2
Mitch, what do you like, do you.
Podcast Host 6
Have Chicago's on like two. It's like a two hour drive, so that's not bad.

Mitch
Oh, the pointed question at me.
Podcast Host 5
No, no, wait.
Podcast Host 3
Ask Mitch who his teams are asking where he's from.
Podcast Host 6
Let's see.
Mitch
No, no.
Podcast Host 6
Where are you from?
Mitch
I'm from Pennsylvania.
Podcast Host 6
You're from Pennsylvania.
Podcast Host 5
So what are you Right outside of.
Podcast Host 6
Philly, you are a, what, a Patriots? Yankees fan? And then you like the Lakers too?
Mitch
It.
Podcast Host 6
I'm only.
Mitch
I. I don't have any. I'm a football fan. I don't. I don't really care about the other sports.
Podcast Host 6
Okay, sure.
Mitch
But I'm an Ohio State fan and a Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Podcast Host 3
So basically the Yankees and the.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah, the new age Yankees and Patriots.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, no, that's. That's totally fine. And you live in Tennessee and you're from Pennsylvania.
Mitch
Yep. Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
So that'll be all for us today.
Mitch
You remember last year when we. When you were on the bus and we recorded longer, so I can.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah, this is beef, too.
Mitch
Last year, you guys, when you came on.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, we were. You were leaving for Bonnaroo.
Mitch
I was trying. Trying.
Podcast Host 6
What happened?
Mitch
I missed, you know. You know Mike. Yeah, I. He's like my favorite artist. I'm like a massive.
Podcast Host 6
You missed it.
Mitch
Missed it.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, that sucks for you.
Mitch
Yeah. But I'm seeing him July 5th when he comes here, so that's interesting.
Podcast Host 2
I just try to record on July 5th, George.
Podcast Host 6
July 5th.
Podcast Host 2
It's a Saturday.
Podcast Host 6
That's a Saturday.
Mitch
Saturday.
Podcast Host 6
That's.
Mitch
Oh, four.
Podcast Host 3
July Friday is.
Podcast Host 6
I'm going to be on the river, probably is where I'm going to be.
Podcast Host 5
What were usually going out towards South Harpeth.
Podcast Host 6
My sister load it? No, my sister just bought a cabin with river access. And like last year we set up all the. All like the pong tables in the river because it's only like two feet deep in some parts. So we're playing beer pong and beer ball, like in the water. That was a fantastic.
Podcast Host 2
Those are good days when you float the Harpeth. Oh, those are great days.
Podcast Host 6
So the water like at that point too, in July, it's like 75, 80 degrees.
Podcast Host 5
Great.
Podcast Host 4
Where is the Harpeth?
Podcast Host 6
West. Just go west 20 minutes, you'll run into the Harpeth. Just drive off the bridge.
Podcast Host 2
Untapped areas in Nashville still.
Podcast Host 6
Kingston Springs, baby.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah, buddy.
Podcast Host 6
I love it out there.
Podcast Host 2
It's great.
Podcast Host 6
Hard to beat. I want to open up either a bar or a sandwich shop in Kingston Springs. Wouldn't that be.
Podcast Host 2
What about both?
Podcast Host 3
We get the interns to work there.
Podcast Host 2
Daytime subs, nighttime, Bud Light.
Podcast Host 6
Very interesting. The tough thing is, I think there's like one family that basically owns everything in Kingston Springs and they're not. They don't need to sell because they. Sure, they don't need to.
Podcast Host 3
Kiddle Springs.
Podcast Host 5
Can you walk us step through step. What is George Kittle's favorite sandwich? Whether it's you're creating it or you're at your own favorite sandwich spot.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, let's see. First things. If I'm going to Subway, the Subway Melt is my favorite sandwich. Quiznos Chicken Carbonara. Shit's Gas or the Chicken Honey Mustard. That one's gas. Jimmy John's Club Lulu. So good.
Podcast Host 2
Toasted.
Podcast Host 3
He's tapped in.
Podcast Host 6
Dude. They just started doing that.
Podcast Host 5
It's crazy special.
Podcast Host 6
It's so good. It's a place called Ike's Sandwiches out in the. Out in California. And it's called. It's fun because all the names are completely random. Like, they name a lot of them after athletes in the bay, but they have one. It's called Name of the girl I'm dating is the name of the sandwich. And it's like shredded chicken with like some. It's like. It's basically like a yum yum sauce. And it's like the Dutch Crunch Bread.
Mitch
Like the.
Podcast Host 6
Okay, super crunchy one. I have that one at least twice a week. That is so good.
Podcast Host 4
Have you tried Chiba Hut?
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, Chiba Hut, dude. One of my old. One of my. Carrie Hider, former defensive end for the Niners. He owns, like, four Chiba Huts. I was like, dude, good for you.
Podcast Host 4
He's making money.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, he. I think they're all in college towns, too.
Mitch
Oh, yeah, we hit the one in Eugene. Yeah, it was.
Podcast Host 3
There's one here.
Podcast Host 6
There's a Chiba here.
Podcast Host 4
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
Recently, this.
Podcast Host 5
Oh, I don't know if you're into designer sandwiches, but, like, you know, something's gonna maybe cost you about 16, 17.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, what is it?
Podcast Host 5
But there's a place called Smokin Oaks, and it's off of Wedgwood and 8th Avenue, and it's, like, partially a butcher shop. And then they also make some, like, really good sandwiches. And if you're ever there, it's. It's definitely worth.
Podcast Host 6
So basically, you order your meats, then you get a sandwich, and you eat your sandwich while you wait for your meats.
Podcast Host 5
Exactly.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah. I mean, good. That's fantastic.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
Have you been to room 40 in Nashville?
Podcast Host 6
I feel like I have. Is that, like, a really small restaurant? No, it's different.
Podcast Host 3
No, it's a room for these nuts.
Podcast Host 6
No, I definitely ate there. I definitely ate that.
Podcast Host 2
Hey, you killed Rob with.
Podcast Host 3
It's brutal because I got Rob with it on the pod.
Podcast Host 6
That's a good one. I remember that one.
Podcast Host 5
Hands tough.
Podcast Host 6
Hey, you do me a favor. Shut the up.
Podcast Host 2
Yeah, that's another class I got got.
Podcast Host 4
I. We do have a pretty epic moment moment here. If. Do you have pouches in right now?
Podcast Host 6
I do have a Zimbabwe in.
Podcast Host 4
Okay. And you spit.
Podcast Host 6
I spit.
Podcast Host 4
Pouches. That is a huge W for Jared Beeman over there.
Podcast Host 3
Oh, I think it's a hard time.
Podcast Host 6
I get, like, the worst heartburn. I get the worst heartburn from it. It's also, like, there's no way that it's healthy to swallow it for your gut lining. So, like, why would I. I did shoot a back over 12 years, so that's not healthy for you either.
Podcast Host 5
But you live and you learn.
Podcast Host 6
It is delicious.
Podcast Host 2
Damn.
Podcast Host 6
I'll say this. One of my favorite things. I went to the Dead and co at the Sphere. Shout out my hat. Shout out your hat. Oh, I went one time with. It was me, Bosa McCaffrey, Juice and Jake Tunjus. One of our tight ends, golfed all day, went to Grateful Dead, had so much fun that I went the following weekend, convinced my wife to go again. So then it was me, my wife Bosa went again. Fantastic. And we brought a couple offs lineman Ben Bartch and Nick Zakel. And we ought to meet John Mayer the second time.
Mitch
Dang.
Podcast Host 6
Well, first we walk into his room, and he's just hanging out with Kenny Chesney, which was pretty sick. And my wife knows Kenny Chesney really well because she met him, like, 10 years ago. She's gone to, like, 14 of his shows.
Podcast Host 2
Hell, yeah.
Podcast Host 6
But John Mayer, he doesn't drink. And we're like, well, what's, like, your vice now? And it's Kodiak Wintergreen, which is the same tobacco that I chewed for 12 years. And he's a guy. He was like, I just. He goes, I just put in half a can for, like. For, like, 10 minutes. And he takes it out. I'm like, oh, my gosh. I was like, that's gasoline in the lip, bud.
Podcast Host 5
Damn. Kodiak is not for the faint of heart.
Podcast Host 6
No, it is not. I remember I shoot Kodiak in front of Luke Combs, and he was shooting Copenhagen, and he was like, you are putting gasoline in your lip. I'm like, sorry that I'm a man and you're not.
Podcast Host 2
How insane is this fear, though?
Podcast Host 6
It's one of the coolest.
Podcast Host 2
I went last year. Jack went recently, and obviously you went.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
At the same time.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah, I went the weekend after you and cmc. What you were just talking about, I.
Podcast Host 6
Guess when you went out with my wife.
Podcast Host 5
Hanging with John Mayer.
Podcast Host 6
We were there together.
Podcast Host 5
It's all good.
Podcast Host 6
I. I wouldn't sick if you would have told me I was out of.
Podcast Host 5
Kodiak, so I wouldn't have felt good going anyways.
Podcast Host 6
That was.
Podcast Host 2
It's an experience, though.
Podcast Host 6
It's. I think it really depends on where your seats are, too, because if you're, like, under. Because it's like, was. You have the ground floor, then, like, the 4. The 100 level, but it goes up, and there's a deck over it. And if you're, like, underneath the deck and you can't look up until I.
Podcast Host 2
Get the Ryman, that's like.
Podcast Host 6
That's not a.
Podcast Host 2
Under the thing.
Podcast Host 6
If you're not. If you're tucked under, it's just like. You see some of it, but it's not as cool. But, like, if you kind of hurt.
Podcast Host 5
Your heart, you're like.
Podcast Host 6
If you ever go to the server, you want to be either on the ground floor, you want to be in the 200 level. That's what. Because Big cat, he goes all the time. And, like, it literally is. It's like an egg, and it just goes up over your head. And, like, the way, like, they can make the room feel like it's a small little room. They drop or, yeah, they can drop it down. You feel like you're in a box. Or they open it up and it goes up forever.
Podcast Host 5
Forever.
Podcast Host 6
It's one of the coolest experiences I've ever been.
Mitch
So trippy.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, it's awesome. Anytime the Grateful Dead is there, I'll go again.
Podcast Host 4
With your, like, status of celebrity. What is the coolest thing that has just fallen in your lap? Some kind of experience, like getting to meet John Mayer.
Podcast Host 6
That. That is a. I mean, like, the only reason we got into Grateful Dead was because Bosa got a random invite when he was. Because he lives in Fort Lauderdale to what's Electric Music Festival in Miami.
Podcast Host 5
Edc or what is it called?
Podcast Host 6
It's some big one. It's either EDC or something. But his favorite artist is Dead Mouth.
Podcast Host 2
Pull that up, Jamie.
Podcast Host 5
Okay.
Podcast Host 6
And so he had, like a random invite to go watch Deadmouth perform on, like, on a Sunday night. And he went and like Dead Mouse, head of security, is friends with the grateful Bob Weir, who's like the. The last guy of. Yeah, the og he's friends with his head of security. And he was like a Niners fan. And he sent it to him, connected him, and he goes, you guys want to come to the Sphere next week? And so then he brought all of. He brought us. And then we had so much fun. They let us come back again. It's like, that's the only reason we got to go. So like, like, that. When that happens, you're like, they put us in like, one of the suites. It was just an absolute hoot of a time.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
I mean, you guys playing in San Fran, that's where they're from. So I feel like, dude.
Podcast Host 6
And dude, the Grateful Dead, they have a three day show. Are you gonna go at the Golden State Park?
Podcast Host 5
And dude, Billy String, Sergio Simpson, Train Anastasia first.
Podcast Host 6
The first day of the show, we have a body. We have an off day the next day from training camp. So we have a group of guys are gonna go up for the show.
Podcast Host 2
That's amazing.
Podcast Host 6
And then Morgan Wallen's there the next day too.
Podcast Host 2

Couple days after that. Up there.
Podcast Host 5
He plays that weekend at the Gorge. At the Gorge, which is awesome.
Podcast Host 3
Shout out to the security guys. The security guys are always the coolest people.
Podcast Host 6
Plugs. They're just dialed in. It's like sick too. Like we're watching this, we're watching the show and it's right to the left is his main security guy. His name's. What is it? Sinjin is his name.
Podcast Host 3
Oh yeah, that's his name, bro.
Podcast Host 6
He is a big ass white dude yoked out of his mind. I'm like, you could kill me with one punch. And he just could not be any.
Podcast Host 2
More chill Mushu finger.
Podcast Host 4
What is a, a George Kittle festival fit look like?
Podcast Host 6
Oh, it just depends on where I'm going. My wife likes me to wear some designer stuff once in a while. Like I'll wear Gucci, Louis Vuitton once in a while. But majority of the time I'm wearing like either a Lord of the Rings shirt or a WWE shirt jersey with like jean shorts and nice sneakers. Yeah, like I go every year there's a festival in Napa Valley called Bottle Rock and it's like every type of music. You got edm, you got country you got rock, you got pop. Like this year's headliners. One of the nights was Benson Boone.
Podcast Host 3
Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
Followed by Jason Timberlake. And then the next night was, like, Noah Khan. So, like, that was phenomenal. But, like, up there, it's like the. It's the cleanest festival I've ever been to. Like, everything's turfed. It's got all, like, Napa Valley food and wine type stuff. They take really good care of, like, if you, like, get the nice passes and stuff. So, like, I could. You can wear like, the nicest fit ever and you won't get any dirty at all. It's so bougie. I love it up there.
Mitch
Have you been to Bonnaroo?
Podcast Host 6
I've not been to Bonner this last year looked tough.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
Last week, Garrett went up for 30 minutes and then literally gets canceled, turns right back around, heads back.
Podcast Host 6
I saw the videos of people that were camping there.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah. GA was brutal. A lot they need. They got to do a lot of infrastructure kind of re situating the. The drainage system is just impossible to get around. But luckily me and Garrett have been upwards of 10 times over the course since we were like, 18.
Podcast Host 6
Best show. So it was the best person you saw.
Podcast Host 5
Dude.
Podcast Host 2
I don't know. It's hard because, like, Tom Petty played one time and like, that's one that. Where you're just like, I got to see Tom Pet.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Podcast Host 2
But then you have ones where, I.
Podcast Host 5
Mean, like, Red Hot Chili Peppers last year was phenomenal. But, like, I remember John one year, like, and everyone loves, like, an Elton John tuner too, but you see him perform, you're like, oh, I understand why this guy is. The state of who he is, why he's an icon.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
And so.
Podcast Host 2
But there's been like, some great, like, back in the day, RL grime shows where you're like, throwing down.
Podcast Host 5
Absolutely.
Podcast Host 2
So there's a good mix out there for sure.
Podcast Host 5
Definitely.
Podcast Host 6
Golly.
Mitch
That's a. I gotta see.
Podcast Host 6
Post Malone is a Bottle Rock.
Mitch
That was last year.
Podcast Host 5
Brought Billy Strings out for a song, which is awesome.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah. Post is. He's a. He's a fun guy.
Podcast Host 2
We got to get him on this show.
Podcast Host 3
I know.
Podcast Host 5
Post Malone. No, Back of the Bus.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah, you're right. I agree.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah. I mean, Bud Light. Well, I guess we can start with Bus in and then kind of segue him in, cuz. Bud Light.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, yeah. You got five minutes.
Podcast Host 5
Just walk right back in.
Podcast Host 6
It'll be nice and easy for you.
Podcast Host 4
There was a brief reference to LOTR with a T. Shirt.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 4
What's your love of Lord the Rings look like?
Podcast Host 6
I mean, I just got a. A brand new Sauron tattoo.
Podcast Host 2
Oh, my God.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 5
Gnarly.
Podcast Host 6
Thank you. I got the. The words of the ring on top. He's wearing the ring down here, dude. I love Lord of the Rings. Like my dad. That was my bedtime story when I was a kid. My dad would read me the books. So, yeah, I am obsessed with Lord of the Rings. It's one of my favorite. It's the best trilogy of all time. There's nothing that compares. It's what. What? It won, like, 17 Oscars. Like, come on. It's the best ever.
Mitch
I need to watch.
Podcast Host 2
I'd seen.
Podcast Host 6
Wait, so you're from Pennsylvania, Like, Ohio State and Kansas City. You've never seen Lord of the Rings? What do you bring to the bus besides the idea of it? Sorry, the back of the bus.
Podcast Host 5
He doesn't bring invites.
Podcast Host 6
You know, I don't want to hear it.
Mitch
Actually, I don't really bring.
Podcast Host 6
So what I would do is just watch Lord of the Rings extended.
Podcast Host 5
We're gonna do all cuts and we're gonna stream it all one day.
Podcast Host 6
I watch all three extended cuts every year, no matter what. You have to right after the Hobbit's fun too.
Podcast Host 4
I did enjoy. Not as much as the original.
Podcast Host 6
No, they're not as good, but they're still good.
Podcast Host 5
Rings of Power.
Podcast Host 6
I watched a TV show I watched, like, a season and a half of it is where I'm at right now.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah, mine's been harder for me to.
Podcast Host 6
My wife's not a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and. Which is okay. She still lets me watch it and stuff like that. She'll watch it with me, but, like, when we watch TV shows, it's like, I need to watch something.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah. That makes.
Podcast Host 6
Luckily she likes, like, government conspiracy and like, assassin TV shows. You guys seen the Jackal?
Podcast Host 2
No.
Podcast Host 6
It's on Peacock, I think. Okay. Do you know Harry Potter and the Fantastic Beasts?
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
The main character of that, he's the assassin.
Podcast Host 2
Oh, wow.
Podcast Host 6
Yeah. Very cool. And he is a sniper who just murders people. It is very fun to watch.
Podcast Host 2
Other than that show, what are your favorite shows?
Podcast Host 6
Currently I'm watching Andor right now. Season two. I love Star Wars. It's fantastic. Andor is great. And then what was the other one? Oh, shi. Sure, she's fantastic.
Podcast Host 3
Taylor would love to hear that.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, my gosh.
Podcast Host 5
A lot of Shore Z doubters in this shop, but that.
Podcast Host 6
You guys don't like it.
Podcast Host 5
No, I love it.
Podcast Host 6
Yours is fantastic. The humor behind it, you know, I like. All right. Thank God.
Mitch
All right.
Podcast Host 6
We have one thing in common. Let's see. No, but my favorite thing about Shores is because I watched that before I'd ever been to, like before I went to Montreal. And it's. The whole show is like EDM music.
Podcast Host 5
Yeah.
Podcast Host 6
And then I didn't realize, like, Canada is all EDM music in between. Every timeout is just EDM songs. It's fantastic. It's like a party in there. I'm like, what?
Mitch
That's sick.
Podcast Host 6
It's so sick. I'm just listening like Calvin Harris in between, like a puck drop. I'm like, what the.
Podcast Host 4
I love. I love the structure of Each episode is 5 minute EDM montage at the very beginning. Then, you know, whatever the plot is of that episode. Last five minutes EDM montage.
Podcast Host 6
It's so good.
Podcast Host 5
And just a revolving back door of jokes that have been said for the last.
Podcast Host 4
Settled down.
Podcast Host 6
Like, there's nothing better than when he's like the ref, just chirping 14 year olds.
Podcast Host 5
The kids in high school.
Podcast Host 6
Oh my gosh, he roasts those boys every single time. That's a. He's a genius, that show. And it's like, what, 18 minute episodes.
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
You could get into it.
Mitch
Oh, dude, Taylor really wants to get on it too.
Podcast Host 6
Shores, you would be fun.
Podcast Host 2
You just have one chirp from the bleachers and that's your moment in Shoresy.
Podcast Host 6
Oh, do you know what it would be?
Mitch
Yeah.
Podcast Host 3
Turn around so I can know your name.
Podcast Host 6
No, I would. So when I was. When I was in college, you had the Iowa Rough Riders hockey team that was in Cedar App, so it was like a 25 minute drive. And we would go to games for fun. It is like a stadium called the Barn. And I mean, it'd be like 40 filled. And so like tickets were like 10, 20 bucks at the most. And we would always. We'd always sit behind the opposing goalie and we would chirp them the entire game. And one of my favorites was whatever his name was. I just matched with your mom on Tinder. She gave me a great tug last night or something like that. That's. I always like telling guys I match with their mom on Tinder.
Podcast Host 2
What's he saying? Sandlot. He's like, is that your sister out there?
Podcast Host 6
Yeah.
Podcast Host 4
Naked.
Podcast Host 2
Naked.
Podcast Host 4
Shut up, Porter. A. An epic cameo would just be shorzy on. Or I guess he's coaching now. But you just hear a. You Shoresy. And then you. George Kittle.
Podcast Host 6
Credits. You shall be so, so funny.
Podcast Host 2
Dude, I gotta tap in.
Podcast Host 3
I love it. I don't. Everybody.
Mitch
Yeah, I don't know how. How much time you got?
Podcast Host 5
Yeah, we appreciate you.
Mitch
Yeah, yeah.
Podcast Host 6
First I said 15 minutes, but now we're here for 30, so I know I'm having a great time. You guys have an outro?
Podcast Host 2
We're working on it. We got to get in touch with Earn.
Podcast Host 6
Hey, thanks for joining us on the back of the bus. We're going to keep doing fun things on the back of the bus while you guys are all high matting in the front of the bus. Be gritty. Stay gritty.
Podcast Host 5
Amen.
Mitch
Perfect.
Podcast Host 3
Hey, great.
Podcast Host 6
You, Mitchell.
