Jack McPherson
Welcome Back to episode 39 of Inside the Bus. I'm Jack McPherson. With me is JP Hovey, Cooper Comstock, Mitchell Carsley, and the one, the only, the sub in Derek Witten. Give a round of applause, people. Thank you for being here. We'll address it soon, but we. Our podcast studio is on the second floor of our building. Derek has sustained an injury recently that we'll dive into later. But just real respect for you to climbing up those stairs on crutches. So that goes a long way with this community. So before we get going, we're gonna address possibly the elephant in the room to some of our real hardos who listen to the show. And we are missing a. A host, Garrett Hargis. He is no longer with Busing with the boys. He is now on to bigger and better things. Taking a chance, a new opportunity, and we will sadly miss him on all fronts of our business, including Inside the Bus. He was a staple member of this podcast. We obviously have him on the. The. The carpet behind us and we'll never take him off, obviously. I mean, how crazy it'd be if we just got a new carpet.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
JP Hovey
Jack Bibi.
Jack McPherson
Jack Bibi. No, but don't change. Hopefully Garrett Hargis will join us back here in the POD studio in the future, but not as a host, but as a guest so we can check in on what he's up to and the cool things that are ahead of him. But yeah. Guys, what's up? How are we doing?
JP Hovey
Good. I'm fired up to see what Garrett does next because obviously none of this would have happened. He wouldn't have parted ways. He wouldn't have done his own thing if it wasn't best for him. So, you know, G's gonna cook up something.
Cooper Comstock
He's gonna crush whatever he does.
Jack McPherson
Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
That dude has a mind of his own.
JP Hovey
I know. And some people, like, a few people have reached out to me like, hey, what were Garrett's like skills where what does he really succeed in? Kind of in Yalls company. And it's so funny, whenever you go back and talk through it, it's like, well, you know, in the beginning he was making a bunch of clips. He did all the graphics Then he started doing all of the merch, then he started making the vlogs, then he started doing all the operations and logistics. So everybody I tell, I'm like, man, you. You kind of pick your. Pick your spot for him.
Cooper Comstock
Pick your boys.
JP Hovey
He knows how to.
Mitchell Carsley
Shohei Ohtani.
JP Hovey
Shohei Otani of Podcasting Industries, Garrett Hargis.
Jack McPherson
And outside of how versatile he is, just from the production standpoint, when I think of Garrett Hargis, I think, man, that dude's cool, right? He just oozes that, like, just really casual confidence. Good style, a good hang. Just. Yeah, he'll be missed sadly here, but hopefully in the future we're gonna have him back if he'll have us. Really? You know, if he's willing to. He might. He might outgrow us. So we'll see. But yeah, do we want to dive into some of the gifts we got
Cooper Comstock
before you said you bringing up the carpet and shout out, Jack, G.B. jack. B.B. did y' all see his Instagram?
Jack McPherson
Dude? He did it.
Cooper Comstock
He did it. He got the golf simulator in his apartment, which is. Which is so sick.
Jack McPherson
What I'm about to say. This is no disrespect to you, Jack, at all. So I don't want it to come across this way. But when he says, I'm gonna build a golf simulator, my first thought is, like, an apartment complex golf simulator that's, like, spent like thousands of dollars. They've got the turf and, like, I love it that it's just literally this gritty net with a backdrop and like, literally just in the middle of his living room.
Cooper Comstock
And he's just got like a little TV monitor that shows where he.
Jack McPherson
It's everything you need as a man.
Cooper Comstock
Like that is. He said he was gonna do it. He followed through with it, and it's like, yeah, dude, it's like one of those things. Like, Jack, you tweeted a lot. Like, guys are gonna see this and just think, hell, yeah.
Jack McPherson
Hell yeah. Yeah. This is a good reminder too, to anyone that you possess free will and you truly can do whatever you want with your life. So don't let the system or your parents or negative people in your life tell you that you can't build a golf simulator in your room and it's because you have space.
Cooper Comstock
He just like, he literally just finished graduating school and like, now he has access to grown up money, right? And it's like, now I'm gonna.
Jack McPherson
Now he has access to golf courses.
Cooper Comstock
Just has grown up money. Now he's like, this is what I'm gonna spend my grown up money on.
Sponsor Representative
And it's like, yes, dude.
JP Hovey
All I can think of too. Cause I mean, Jack is we've had him on the show. He's one of the nicest people ever. And. But I'm. I'm worried. I'm like, Jack, please do not be playing too late. Because I'm seeing the video and I'm hearing the sound and all I'm thinking about is if I'm the neighbor next to him, what is this mother effort doing in here? Half the day he's Dr. He's creating carpets. The other half of the day he's hitting golf balls. And I got no peace of quiet.
Cooper Comstock
Might be the loudest neighbor of all.
JP Hovey
Might be the loudest neighbor of all time. But I know Jack's very respectful.
Jack McPherson
Might have to invest in some soundproofing material. Yeah, Some of those squares on the
Cooper Comstock
wall throw up a blanket.
JP Hovey
And we need to do it inside the bus vlog to his apartment.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. Honestly, Jack, I haven't texted you yet, but you are on our next flag team, so he will be around much more often.
JP Hovey
Big announcement.
Mitchell Carsley
Recruiting never stops.
JP Hovey
No, recruiting never stops.
Jack McPherson
But yeah, of spending. Big boy. We had a loyal listener, I believe, Derek. He goes by the name of Mr. White Chocolate.
Derek Witten
Mr. White Chocolate.
Jack McPherson
Do you want to give a description? Because you were familiar with Mr. White Chocolate, and I think he's kind of online and so. Just give us a description.
Derek Witten
No, he was just a guy that when I had first started, had seen in the comments of 4 the dads. And he had a call in, and so we were just kind of DMing here and there, and he had DM'd us asking him to send us a Christmas card and a couple gifts a while ago. So I gave him like, there's two addresses you can give out, and it's the address or the PO Box. And so I give the PO Box, and then it took a while to get it here because Brett goes and checks it and stuff. So the other day he sent us a video to me, and Sherman was like, hey, what's all this stuff? And I was like, I don't know, but it's sick. And then turns out it's from loyal listener Mr. White Chocolate.
Sponsor Representative
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
So we actually, before we really explain all the things he said, he sent us a letter also.
Cooper Comstock
We said before that we wanted to do like these unboxings and stuff. I didn't even know the PO Box address. So we should like. I don't know if we can post something about it.
Jack McPherson
And I'd love to know that address.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
I'm like, oh, Derek knows it. Like, we.
Derek Witten
For the reason I got it was for. For the dads, we wanted people to send us their Christmas cards. And so I was like, let's just pepper them there.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
Derek Witten
That way they're in one spot. We got a bundle of them.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. So we'll. We will be putting out our PO Box address somewhere so that if y' all want more stuff and get featured on the pod and a thank you, you can send us your stuff. And it'll. Whether it's here or somehow, we'll figure out how to get all of it hung up. So it's like just like a fan wall of something, but what you got there?
Jack McPherson
So this is from Mr. White Chocolate himself. I don't know if you can kind of zoom in or you can see this, but. So this handwriting is very neat, but it's slanted sideways. So I'm gonna do my best to read this. I think I got it. Mr. White Chocolate. Boys, so sorry for the late Christmas card and package. This month has been a roller coaster ride for sure. I lost my grandmother on December 28th. Sorry to hear that. Rest in peace to Mrs. Senior White Chocolate. It was a tough moment for sure since the. She helped me raise me. My daughter took it in the worst way. Unfortunately, since they had a great relationship, I've just been consoling her and reminding her that Meemaw is now in a better place. Also, I'm in the middle of a move as well. And officiating flag football tournaments and attending college football camps to hopefully get hired by a college conference. Here's some autographed items you guys can have and maybe hang up in your offices or the back of the bus podcast set. Make sure you tell. And it's on the other side. Very well. Like, we love getting this stuff. So maybe we can do like a little call in or mail in segment where. But sorry, got lost again. Make sure you tell my guy Jack that I'm still waiting for my signed girl dad hat signed by Taylor and will that I won while doing or winning during a Red Dead Redemption live stream. And if you remember watching those, Taylor did that for about two weeks straight. And I think he owes a lot
Cooper Comstock
of people a lot of things, so
Jack McPherson
we will get you that.
Cooper Comstock
Doesn't he own somebody like a cast iron skillet?
Mitchell Carsley
Yes.
JP Hovey
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
Yeah. I think it might be another guy that we'll talk about, like almost two years ago. But he goes, I bet his boo Veronica, her prize Ah. Remember Veronica cuts but forgot about me. Lol. Hope you all have a merry Christmas and happy New Year and can't wait to see what's in store for 2026. And if any of you guys come to Dallas, please let me know. I love to meet you all and hang with the boys. Here's my real. Just in case you don't have my hat. Lol. We'll leave that out, but keep being great gents. Dash. Mr. White Chocolate. I'm actually going to Dallas in two weeks, so I think it's only right
Cooper Comstock
you might have to.
Mitchell Carsley
That might be fate.
Jack McPherson
Pull up for a little drink or something.
JP Hovey
That would be here.
Cooper Comstock
You know what would actually be sick is if you met up with him and did a sandwich review.
Jack McPherson
That'd be awesome too, because we got it. We need more inside the sub.
JP Hovey
Are you going to see him? Are you going for another reason?
Jack McPherson
Well, I mean, unfortunately now I'm going for another reason, but it feels like this is. This is fate. So Again, thank you, Mr. White Chocolate, for the. The nice note. We're sorry about your grandmother, but we love you and let's.
Cooper Comstock
We appreciate you.
Jack McPherson
Cooper, why don't you. Why don't you unveil this one?
JP Hovey
And somebody remind me to ask a question after we do the unboxing because this letter made me think of something.
Mitchell Carsley
What we have here, I don't know how well you can see it. It's pretty big. Like, I feel like you can see pretty good. Is a Chase Edmonds, Cardinals legend, autographed photo. One thing about Chase Edmonds is he was just all right. But. But he reminds me. Yeah, yeah, stay with me. You know, the Cardinals, I'm in a bad head.
JP Hovey
Two weeks.
Mitchell Carsley
But he reminds me of the good old days a few years ago when there was hope and I was telling people. You know who Chase Edmonds is? No, I don't know.
Derek Witten
Jason.
Mitchell Carsley
Oh, he's really underrated. Yeah, I thought he was. And then, you know, I mean, look,
Cooper Comstock
you said he was all right.
Mitchell Carsley
He. Well, you know, he was. I was wrong.
JP Hovey
What's this photo? Explain this photo.
Mitchell Carsley
This photo appears to be Chase Edmonds scoring a touchdown against the New York Football Giants. I actually remember this game. Josh Dobbs, Tennessee legend.
Jack McPherson
Yes, vfl.
Mitchell Carsley
Josh Dobbs started this game and the Cardinals roared out to a huge, like three touchdown lead and then just completely pooped themselves and blew it. But this was. This was part of the.
JP Hovey
I did not know that when I asked you to explain. I'm thinking this is pick six, game winner Chase Edmonds.
Mitchell Carsley
Or I guess he's a running back. He's a running back. Then he left and then took green your pastures and then.
JP Hovey
Sorry, I thought it was Patrick Peterson.
Mitchell Carsley
Oh, no, no. Don't make me go down the.
JP Hovey
That was Rogers Cromartie.
Derek Witten
I don't.
Cooper Comstock
Legend.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah. Anyways, thank you for that. This is sick. This will be going on the wall somewhere. Appreciate you. Thank you for that.
Cooper Comstock
I'll go next. I have two things, but I want to save the one for last because I think it is legendary. But this is.
Jack McPherson
Is it Yanty? No, it's Yancey Fig.
Cooper Comstock
Yancy Fig pin.
JP Hovey
Is he related to Tyler?
Jack McPherson
I have no idea.
Cooper Comstock
Actually signed on the back.
JP Hovey
Jeez.
Jack McPherson
That actually is crazy.
Cooper Comstock
I have no idea who.
JP Hovey
I can't believe they gave this up.
Jack McPherson
The old guy. He played for the Oilers and the Titans. This is like with the Oilers to the Titans.
Cooper Comstock
Old type feeling.
Jack McPherson
He's a pro bowler.
Cooper Comstock
This. I mean, it wasn't. Was Delaney number 82?
Jack McPherson
Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
Dang.
JP Hovey
He walked so Delaney could run.
Cooper Comstock
Yes, he did.
Derek Witten
Which Steelers legend?
JP Hovey
We gotta break that down because I think Delaney was in one of the photos. Taylor's most recent post. Crop God. Blur. God, Derek. I don't know if you've seen his most recent post.
Cooper Comstock
I don't think I have either.
Rob Gronkowski
No.
Mitchell Carsley
I don't think anybody has.
Jack McPherson
True transition from. From professional sports into media. You'd think that he would at least just be able to post a clear photo now. But it's almost like maybe he's on the ultimate bit.
Mitchell Carsley
There's something endearing about it.
Cooper Comstock
It really.
Jack McPherson
It's like a kid showing you a draw. That's so good.
Mitchell Carsley
Look at the post I made. Look at this post I made, Jack.
JP Hovey
And that's you and that's Delaney. Oh, my gosh.
Cooper Comstock
The. What you do to him on Twitter of like the searching and Googling thing is like. I've had multiple people be like, did, like, did Taylor actually do that or is Jack just messing around?
Jack McPherson
That's become my favorite bit on Twitter because it's.
Mitchell Carsley
It.
Jack McPherson
It's to the sentiment of what we're talking about. Taylor being like a little kid. That one. I'm like, like crushing him as an adult. I'm like. And what's funny is people take Twitter. Twitter's so negative compared to like Instagram. Yeah. And you can post one thing on Instagram and get the most positive things in the world and you go to Twitter and people like, you're gay as so. But I'm not. I don't know if Taylor's gay, but I do think that we got to just continue doing that for the rest of time.
JP Hovey
Yeah, his kids are going to think he played in the 70s. The way he posts the photos, which more power to him.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, I mean, you played against Plumbers.
JP Hovey
Three time Pro Bowler. They had the Pro bowl then.
Cooper Comstock
Do you have more stuff or did you not have.
Jack McPherson
Oh, yeah, we do have this.
Cooper Comstock
I want to save that one for last. No, yeah,
JP Hovey
I'll hold him. Oh, yeah, here, I'll hold it up. You. You talk about it.
Jack McPherson
It's just I. Dude, I'm not even sure who this is, to be honest.
Cooper Comstock
Oh, you know, it's a hall of Famer.
JP Hovey
Robert, who is image Robert something.
Mitchell Carsley
Ronde Barber.
Jack McPherson
Let's look it up.
JP Hovey
Robert Bucket.
Jack McPherson
He's a hall of Famer.
Cooper Comstock
Hall of Famer, class of 18.
Jack McPherson
I'm about to get crucified. But you know, we gotta keep Robert
JP Hovey
B. Robert Bigalow, hall of fame, class of 18.
Mitchell Carsley
He's no chase Edmonds.
JP Hovey
That thing goes.
Cooper Comstock
He looks like Dick Buckus.
Jack McPherson
This is sick though. Let's see.
Mitchell Carsley
You know, he got dirty in the trenches.
Derek Witten
Look at him.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, wasn't a hobby for him.
Cooper Comstock
This is. This is poor podcasting, but we apologize.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, terrible. Need more. Need everything at this point. While we're waiting, this break is brought to you by Chad GPT. Dude, I am really not even getting
Derek Witten
Robert Brazil, maybe known as Dr. Doom.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, it. Robert Brazil, Dr. Doom.
JP Hovey
Doctor.
Jack McPherson
I'm gonna get killed in the comments, man.
JP Hovey
Hey, you're tights out right now.
Jack McPherson
I know, man. I'm literally wearing the Oilers jacket. But dude, I'm about to get rid of.
Mitchell Carsley
That was.
Cooper Comstock
His nickname was Dr. Doom.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, he.
Mitchell Carsley
Actually.
Jack McPherson
I'm starting to get a little quiet inside, but anyways, thank you, Mr. White.
Mitchell Carsley
Hey, last week I. I sat there and said Kurt Warner was the only good quarterback the Cardinals ever had. And I. I had so many ads about Carson Palmer Twitter, which, by the way, I do know Carson Palmer. Heat of the moment stuff.
JP Hovey
Yeah, Cooper's emotional. Dude, you were dealing with the loss of Kyler.
Mitchell Carsley
Like, I'm getting better on the mic, but I'm still not that good, man. I just forgot.
Cooper Comstock
The last thing we have I think is maybe one of my favorite things
JP Hovey
we've ever received, but Jessica Simpson custom and O.J.
Cooper Comstock
simpson us. O.J.
JP Hovey
simpson USC jersey.
Jack McPherson
Massive. Dude.
JP Hovey
Dude, how did you get your hands on that?
Cooper Comstock
That's only. That's a question only Mr. White Chocolate can answer.
Jack McPherson
I'll have to ask him for sure.
Cooper Comstock
Because link up in Dallas, like a legit jersey and like stitched and everything.
Derek Witten
Hang it in the locker room in his locker.
Cooper Comstock
And CL players of the same. Let it sit there and see 2004 limited edition shout out Mr. White Chocolate.
Jack McPherson
That's his. If he's like a memorabilia collector or if he's again spending his big boy money just to send us some cool stuff.
Mitchell Carsley
But I feel like either way, it's sick.
Cooper Comstock
Some of the stuff is like kind of random. Like the Yancy Thigpen one, the Chase Edmonds one.
Jack McPherson
Like, that's what leads me to believe that he has like a plug.
Derek Witten
He's deep in the memorabilia game. And so his Tik Tok and his YouTube channel just have jerseys and signatures and him and his wife going. I would assume his wife going to games and things. So he's deep.
Cooper Comstock
Why don't you to give him another shout out. Shout out his socials because he sent us all of this cool stuff.
Derek Witten
Absolutely. He does have. Which I don't know if the link's not working, but it's literally Mr. White Chocolate 88 on TikTok. He does have a YouTube channel where he'll makes a ton of content. Things like that. For some reason, I can't see the link on here, but dude is a stud. Big memorabilia guy, big sideline guy, Commanders fan, it would appear.
Cooper Comstock
White Chocolate.
JP Hovey
Yeah. One of the best things about sports to me is these is the pieces of memorabilia, like the Chase Edmonds photo. Because I don't know. I don't know why it just hit so hard with me. Like, it's just a random guy. I know that you know that Cardinals fans out there. There's some kid out there that Chase Edmonds was his favorite player for whatever reason. And to have that come across the. Come across the scene. The screen.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
JP Hovey
Is beautiful.
Mitchell Carsley
How much sports memorabilia is out there, right? Like, yeah, it's kind of the same for every, like, hobby or sport, so to speak. If you want to count sports as a hobby.
JP Hovey
But it ain't a hobby, bro. That's your line.
Mitchell Carsley
Ain't a hobby.
JP Hovey
The question I had after reading this letter. Oh, man. Oh, never mind. This isn't cursive. I thought this was cursive. And I'm thinking, like, there is a there. I feel like there's a year that a person was born and that's the cut off of people that use cursive. Because my dad writes in cursive. My mom writes in cursive. My oldest brother does not write incursive.
Mitchell Carsley
Do y' all know cursive?
Jack McPherson
I do know cursive. Like, I went to a private school.
Mitchell Carsley
I got my cursive license in third grade.
Cooper Comstock
The most license, I learned to write. I Learned it in 4, 4th grade. And my signature still looks like a 4th grader, like, wrote it. That's how bad my cursive is. But my dad went to Catholic school growing up, and, like, they had to write incursive every single day. So, like, his writing is still incursive. His writing was still cursive. But, like, my mom writes normal, so it's, like, kind of weird. I don't know.
JP Hovey
For the next bus scenes, I'm gonna come up with a sentence, and I'm gonna have the shop write it in cursive.
Jack McPherson
You gotta throw a Z in there.
JP Hovey
Gotta throw the Z in there.
Jack McPherson
Z's crazy.
Mitchell Carsley
Capital J is not easy either.
Cooper Comstock
My favorite was the D. Whoa.
JP Hovey
What's a capital J look like? Damn. What's a capital J look like? Because I'm signing jp.
Jack McPherson
A capital J is just a big.
JP Hovey
Just this.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, the. Yeah, the. It's literally just a big loop down.
JP Hovey
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
I'm trying to actually, like, one of the easiest ones.
JP Hovey
Yeah. I don't know what the lowercase.
Mitchell Carsley
My license probably expired.
Jack McPherson
I think it's. It's like a loop and then, like.
Mitchell Carsley
Isn't it like a.
Jack McPherson
Like, you go.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, I guess it's two. It's two loops, right? It's a loop and then a loop back.
Jack McPherson
That's the uppercase 1. The lowercase 1 is like. It starts as a U and then you bring the J down and then come back up, and then.
Mitchell Carsley
Yes, it looks like a U and a J combine.
Cooper Comstock
Kind of like a. Like a Y almost.
Jack McPherson
Yeah. Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
The.
Jack McPherson
My two tails on the end.
Cooper Comstock
The hardest one for me to rate are Rs and Ss easy.
Mitchell Carsley
Oh, I like, the S is like. Yeah,
Cooper Comstock
I remember that because I have. I go like R and then S for my last name. And it's like.
Sponsor Representative
It just.
Cooper Comstock
I'm getting to the point where my signature.
JP Hovey
How you do a capital S. I think that's just normal S. Okay.
Mitchell Carsley
S is easy when I'm doing that S to T combo and Comstock easy.
Jack McPherson
But this begs the question, is cursive writing a dying breed?
Cooper Comstock
Yes.
JP Hovey
And I need to stay dead.
Jack McPherson
I think, like, digital media and everyone being on their phone so much.
Mitchell Carsley
Like, calligraphy's dead.
Jack McPherson
Unless you're, like, signing something or if you keep a journal. I feel like most adults, I think, at least in My profession, my personal walk. I don't write unless I'm writing in a journal or signing something.
Mitchell Carsley
We're typing.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, it's all dead.
Cooper Comstock
I write, like, to do lists and I'll write. Brooke gets on my ass. All for it all of the time. But I was like, for my grocery list, I'll put on a sticky note and like, just something about, like, crossing it off. I'll do, like, that's. I'll hand write that. But, like, cursive is. It's just my name. And I feel like that is how, like, majority of people in our generation, the only thing that know how to write in cursive is their signature.
JP Hovey
Cursive died when we had to learn asdf, jkl semicolon. That was the end of it.
Cooper Comstock
I don't even know what that is.
JP Hovey
You don't know what that is? As you know what that is.
Mitchell Carsley
It's about like.
JP Hovey
Like typing, you know? Yeah, you know?
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, yeah.
JP Hovey
What are they. What are they called? Y' all know what they're called?
Cooper Comstock
Is that where you're supposed to rest your hand?
Derek Witten
That's home base, baby.
JP Hovey
Home base. Yeah, I remember they paid attention to keyboard.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, the keyboard class. Oh, I remember you had a passion.
Cooper Comstock
I just know. Qwerty. The Qwerty.
Mitchell Carsley
Qi up, dude.
JP Hovey
What was the robot's name that would help you with math? The robot and the guy. Do you remember them?
Mitchell Carsley
Tim and Moby.
JP Hovey
Is it Tim you talking about?
Mitchell Carsley
Brain Pop?
JP Hovey
Yeah, it's on Brain Pop.
Mitchell Carsley
Tim and Moby were the rope. Were the robot on the guy? The copper, like, looking bronze robot?
JP Hovey
Nah, I don't think I'm thinking of a bronze.
Cooper Comstock
I think I know what you're talking.
Derek Witten
I'm pulling up Tim.
Mitchell Carsley
Moby. There's no way I know that, but
Jack McPherson
I don't even know we're talking. I. All I can think of is Clippy. That little dude on. You know, Clippy is.
JP Hovey
I don't think I do the.
Jack McPherson
The. What's it? The paper?
JP Hovey
Yeah, that's them. That's them.
Mitchell Carsley
That's Tim and Moby. Yeah, he is Brain Pop.
Jack McPherson
Oh, my God. They just put a. You don't.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, I mean, it's like.
Jack McPherson
No, Clippy is, though. It was the Microsoft help.
JP Hovey
What'd he say?
Derek Witten
I said, no, I don't know.
Cooper Comstock
That is.
Derek Witten
And Kip goes, ah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Cooper Comstock
yeah.
JP Hovey
I gotta see Clippy.
Cooper Comstock
Y' all know Mr. Bill?
JP Hovey
Oh, I remember Clippy.
Cooper Comstock
Let me see.
JP Hovey
Clippy was a beast.
Jack McPherson
Oh, yeah, it's the Microsoft, like the original AI almost to where it could just help you find things on your desk.
Mitchell Carsley
They got a whole brain pop universe now.
Sponsor Representative
What?
Jack McPherson
Deis pro Clip.
JP Hovey
Clippy really was AI before AI, and he does not get enough respect. No, I see all these threads about Claude. I need to see a thread about Clippy.
Derek Witten
Do you see the episode of the Office where Daryl's making his resume and he's on Helpline? And he goes, yeah, there was a paperclip that used to come up and help me make my resume, and I want to know where it went. Got it.
Jack McPherson
All right, what else we got? Thank you again, Mr. White Chocolate. If we didn't already reiterate that those are awesome gifts, we'll get them hung up.
JP Hovey
I wonder if we were in the. I didn't mean to overlook on your phone, but you just received a book. I'm sorry.
Mitchell Carsley
Hey, y' all want to know what it is? It's about my. My lease renewal.
JP Hovey
Oh.
Mitchell Carsley
Shout out Court.
JP Hovey
I think you'd be all right.
Mitchell Carsley
I've already said it on your Courtland.
Cooper Comstock
Are you gonna resign?
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, I do. I can't move again.
JP Hovey
I mean, you gotta start dropping lease like resigns, like for how guys commit.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, I gotta re. I. I gotta resign there, man.
Cooper Comstock
It's coming. It's coming back up for your boy.
JP Hovey
Oh, no, wait. Really?
Jack McPherson
How many times have you moved in the last calendar year from today? Twice since, or is it over that?
Cooper Comstock
No, just once.
Derek Witten
Okay.
Cooper Comstock
I lived at the house this time last year, and then I moved into the apartment.
Jack McPherson
So if I'd asked you this in January, though, it would have been two.
Cooper Comstock
No, because we moved into the house of September of 23.
Jack McPherson
So have you been there for a while?
JP Hovey
No, wait.
Cooper Comstock
September of 24.
Mitchell Carsley
Mitch is a nomad.
Cooper Comstock
I've lived in, like, five different places in four years or three years of being here?
JP Hovey
Five and three. Yeah. That is Clippy. Do the math.
Cooper Comstock
But yeah.

This is Bethenny Frankel from Just Be with Bethenny Frankel. Let me be blunt. Most dog food is junk. It just is. And I'm not feeding junk to Biggie and Smalls. That is why they eat just Food for dogs. It's real, 100% human grade food with ingredients I actually recognize. Not mystery pellets pretending to be healthy. And once I switched, the difference was obvious. Better digestion, better skin, more energy. Dogs who actually feel good instead of just surviving dinner. Here's the thing. You care about quality. You make an intentional choice to be healthy. So why are you gambling with your dog's health? So let's think about our furry babies. Go to just food for dogs.com right now and get 50% off your first box. No code. Just try it. Because once you see the difference, you're not going back.

I mean, Brooke and I are trying to figure out what we're going to do. She Wants to. I personally, and I've talked to J.P. about it. I want to live in Australia for a year. And it's like getting to the. Getting to the age of, like, we want to get. We want to have kids or whatever. Like, that's, like, a thought. And also with Brooke being in the medical field, I don't know how the medical field is, like, different in Australia. Like, PAs aren't really a thing over there, which is, like, scary. So it's like, what we're gonna do. She wants to also live back out and cut. Like, she had, like, a mental breakdown. Like, I don't know what I would do if we do not live back in California for a year. And I'm like. So I. That's something that we have to do. But it's like, I. I'm gonna be moving.
JP Hovey
It's on the way to Australia kind of.
Cooper Comstock
I know I'm gonna be moving a lot. And I think that's. Yes.
Mitchell Carsley
Practice.
Cooper Comstock
It's become a bit that I move a lot, but I also think, like, it's a. It's a real thing. Yeah. But I enjoy moving other than the actual. I enjoy living in different places.
Jack McPherson
Process moving. But you enjoy a new scene, correct? Yeah, I get it.
Mitchell Carsley
It's like two days of hell and then you're good for a while.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. You know, like that. It is fucking hell.
JP Hovey
Yeah. I would. I would argue that moving is probably, like, one of the top three worst things that you can do in your. In your personal life.
Jack McPherson
I would argue it for a one almost.
JP Hovey
It's not fun. I can't think of anything worse.
Cooper Comstock
Are you talking about just, like, the process?
Jack McPherson
The process.
JP Hovey
Talking about the process.
Jack McPherson
Thinking that you're done and then you aren't. You're halfway done.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
And then, like, the little things that collect and the amount of trips you got to take from A to B
Mitchell Carsley
and B, once you move in, you got to organize.
Jack McPherson
Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
Oh, yeah.
Jack McPherson
That's half the battle.
Mitchell Carsley
That's like a. That's like weeks.
Jack McPherson
And then, like, you getting your WI fi set up. Things like that. Little things. You don't know about the WI fi.
Mitchell Carsley
It's always something.
Jack McPherson
Comcast is the final boss mounted, leaning against a wall, canceling your electric and.
Mitchell Carsley
And water and like, having.
Cooper Comstock
Transferring it to a new address.
JP Hovey
Oh, God.
Jack McPherson
Shannon is about to move, and we just toured an apartment yesterday for her, and we're doing one today. And the one yesterday, I. I won't say it to dog them, but it's a new one going up in wedgewood Houston. And from the outside looking in, it looks very nice. But, dude, they have a, like, 175amenity fee. And all they have is a pool that they call a plunge pool. So it's tiny. A small weight room, and that's it. 125 to park. So it's 300. Just, like, without rent at all involved. And they also split utilities. I don't know if you've ever heard of this, because I'm not an apartment guy, but they split the electric bill in the common rooms.
Cooper Comstock
Yep. Brooks Building had to do that. Like, so Brooke.
Jack McPherson
Brooke and her roommates to be on.
Cooper Comstock
We're paying for, like, the gym lights and everything. It's like. In reality, it's an extra five to six bucks, but still, it's like, that's kind of fucked up.
JP Hovey
Switch out all y' all voted for Trump.
Mitchell Carsley
All the fees are such. I pay for parking, and I got my car broken into. Explain that logic.
JP Hovey
We're in the garage.
Mitchell Carsley
We don't have cameras. I don't have a window.
Jack McPherson
Pay for cameras.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
I don't know what our amenity fee is. Like, we're. We pay for, like, not. Yeah, pest control. And, like, that doesn't work, dude.
Jack McPherson
For the one we toured yesterday, instead of physical keys, they have an application that you get on your phone, you can scan in. So, like, on the surface level, I see, I'm like, all right, that'd be pretty cool. First door we go in, then we tour. Key works perfectly. The next, like, six doors, it took, like, 10 seconds. Each time, she's like, oh, this doesn't usually happen. We go down, she's explaining it. You have to pay to buy the app, too. And now I'm. Now I'm pissed.
JP Hovey
So does she sign?
Jack McPherson
No, we're going to her a better one today. And that one actually has real amenities in Wedgwood. Yeah, it's the fineries we're touring today. I won't say the one that I don't like, but they got a great pool. And, dude, they have a half basketball court inside there.
JP Hovey
Yeah, that's epic. We. We get free coffee. I mean, obviously, it's in some of the.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah, we get free. Yeah, but we give.
JP Hovey
But it's like a coffee shop.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. That's sick.
JP Hovey
Free coffee shop.
Jack McPherson
Not like a Keurig machine.
JP Hovey
No, no. There's like, a barista there, and it's, like, including whatever. Then there's also a pet center where people that work, they board their dog for the day. The worker will go take him out on, like, two walks. If you leave town, you can bring it there. And it's so much cheaper than normally boarding your dog. And I'm thinking, how in the world has every apartment complex that would sell
Jack McPherson
me in an apartment so fast?
Cooper Comstock
Yeah, they, like, I've seen, like, a bunch of the apartments that I, like, we've toured and have been in. They have like a dog washing area. Like a pet.
JP Hovey
Yeah.
Cooper Comstock
Or they'll have like, my apartment has like a greenway kind of like just turf area for like a little dog.
Jack McPherson
A dog run.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. And they can just go out there and, like, pee and poop and you just pick up it. Well, you have a bag and you can throw it away. But, like, a watcher is sick. Like, that's awesome.
JP Hovey
So what if moving is number one? What are some other things that are just horrible?
Jack McPherson
Like, my mind is so just all over the moving trail and how much it takes from you. There's gotta be maybe I'd say, like, each year because it's consistent. Having to file your taxes is definitely up there. It's not the hardest thing in the world, but it's just something that is always annoying to me.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
One of the. One of the things in life that
Cooper Comstock
will always remain, I feel like. And I don't know if it's because my dad normally handles it most of the time, but, like, when you're buying a car and, like, haggling them and trying to go back and forth and then all of the paperwork that you have to go through and then just to find out that you.
JP Hovey
Definitely on the list.
Jack McPherson
I think I'm about to buy a car. I mean, I've told you guys that I'm overdue, but I figured out this week what car I want. I want to buy a Toyota Land Cruiser. Oh. I feel like I'm gonna have to buck up and buy, like, a newer one. And they're very expensive, but I've never gone through that process because I've always bought used cars and never bought from a dealership. So I'm. I don't know if that's the route, but if anyone out there works for a Toyota dealership and you want to point me in the right direction. We're looking for Land Cruisers, baby. We're ready to spend.
Cooper Comstock
I always feel so awkward of, like, the haggling and, like, negotiating, like, come on, like, get us down. And then they're like, this is. I asked my manager. They have, like. They have, like.
Mitchell Carsley
They go back.
Jack McPherson
Oh, yeah.
Cooper Comstock
This is the lowest, the absolute Low. Okay, well, we're gonna walk out. He's like, well, let me go talk to him one more time. It's like, what are we doing here?
Mitchell Carsley
It's like we're on a. We're in a play.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. How about we just meet in the middle? Let's just like, I'll pay.
Jack McPherson
It's really a performance.
Cooper Comstock
It truly is. It's like, it's like a song that. Do I get so uncomfortable doing? Yeah, I get so uncomfortable. And like, that's why my dad normally does it. He just like, we're not doing that.
JP Hovey
Give us that.
Cooper Comstock
Okay.
Jack McPherson
Sold.
JP Hovey
That's why Tesla is so intriguing to me, because I'm like, hey, let me just purchase this online and they'll just deliver it to me. I don't got to deal with anybody. The price is what the price is. And I think more car companies should take that approach. For those listening. And that segment was presented by Elon Musk.
Cooper Comstock
What else?
Mitchell Carsley
I have a. I have a selfish one. It's going to make me sound super selfish.
Jack McPherson
Love it.
Mitchell Carsley
I'm actually scared to say it, but I will. And this might be because I'm getting older. We're talking about, like, just super annoying, inconvenient things, right?
JP Hovey
Yeah, yeah.
Mitchell Carsley
Christmas shopping.
Jack McPherson
Oh, no, I understand. I think I understand.
Mitchell Carsley
It's not, it's not about like, I don't want to give people get. Like, that's not it at all. It is like the stress of all of a sudden, like the last few years, I found out how many people I had, like, need to get a gift for and then finding them and then worrying about them getting. I had a couple, like, stolen from my apartment, which I do love, but there's so many problems on. I talk about it out loud, like all of that, like getting them in and then like, I live out of state, so I gotta like, find a way to get them home. Like.
JP Hovey
Yeah, that's fair.
Mitchell Carsley
The whole like half of November, December up till Christmas was so stressful. Just figuring all that out. Like, just the logistics again. It's not about all the people I love. I love getting. I. I'm excited to give them gifts. It's about finding out what to give
JP Hovey
the name for it all logistics of
Mitchell Carsley
the logistics of getting it to them. And then like the timing, it's all of it combined.
Cooper Comstock
It's because you like giving them so gifts that get. It's because of Jesus Christ.
Mitchell Carsley
I know what you're saying.
Cooper Comstock
I know you're saying because you enjoy giving them gifts, that makes it Stressful because you want the gift to, like, be good.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah. But it's just like, literally feels like a sprint from November to December of, like, this has to happen in this window. And like, obviously you can start a little earlier, which for some, like, little things, I. I would like if I
JP Hovey
see something that's a good three moving, taxes, logistics of Christmas shopping.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, I'll hang my hat on that.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah, I'm glad I got something.
Cooper Comstock
Buying a car is for.
JP Hovey
Oh, yeah. True, true. Buying a car.
Jack McPherson
Once I go through that process, I'll reevaluate.
Cooper Comstock
That's not something you do all that often. So I understand that, like, taxes, moving,
JP Hovey
and Mitch about to start buying cars. Like, he moves apartments.
Cooper Comstock
I can't afford that.
Jack McPherson
Dude, definitely drop in the comments. What are the most annoying things?
Cooper Comstock
I feel like there's fat ones that we're missing.
Mitchell Carsley
Oh, 100.
Derek Witten
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
Well, that's why we need comments.
Mitchell Carsley
We'll.
Jack McPherson
We'll revisit this. We always need a VIN session.
JP Hovey
Always need one.
Cooper Comstock
We were talking about it briefly this morning that we want to do a social video about it. And I think. I don't know if I saw JP tweet about it, but, like, the best sports tournaments.
Jack McPherson
Oh, yeah. Like, do a bracket for the best.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. Off the top. Like, what is like, everybody's top three.
JP Hovey
Number one is the World Cup. There's no better atmosphere because there's no better buy in from fans. If all you got to do is just look up the first goal of the 2010 World cup in South Africa. When. How you say his name hits the goal, they hit the dance in the corner. Look up that one and then also look up Argentina's parade from the last World cup. And it's like, Americans think we go hard. Philadelphia thinks they go hard for a Super bowl parade. They do not touch and celebrating. Yeah, that's what I said, Philly.
Mitchell Carsley
So I got.
JP Hovey
I got World cup number one for me. I don't man.
Mitchell Carsley
Tournament style, like, that includes, like, small, like, playoffs too, right? Yeah.
Jack McPherson
All like. Yeah, we're talking March Madness, college football playoffs, NFL playoffs.
Cooper Comstock
One that gets like a lot of. That gets a lot of views. Like, I don't. To me, it's sneaky because I'm not in. It is Wimbledon. And like, it's one of, like the
JP Hovey
highest viewed TV comes at the perfect time of the year right around fourth of July. Everyone is typically off of work. It also happens in the morning, so it's like the first thing you can do and you still have the whole rest of your day. We've been blessed with great tennis players over the last 25 years in the transition from Federer to Alcarazz. So you'll probably see the greatest tennis player to ever play tennis in the next 20 finals of Wimbledon. Plus Djokovic. I mean, I would. As a big tennis fan, I could probably put Wimbledon at two and three is so tough for me because, like, I love college football, and I'm sure if South Carolina has won one of them, I would put college football, but we haven't. As a kid, I used to love the NBA finals. Oh, three is so hard.
Mitchell Carsley
NBA and NHL. And I like. I don't like the NBA as much anymore, but when the Mavericks used to be good and they're playing the playoffs. The thing I love about. It's kind of true for baseball, too. I feel like baseball's a little shorter. NHL and NBA playoffs are like such a marathon. Yeah, it is truly like a postseason. It is like, almost three months of high, like, playoff sports. And I just feel like, obviously love the NFL. That's. That feels very quick to me. Always like, yeah, right. It's weekend, weekend, weekend, bam, Super Bowl. Those are like, you got a game every two days. There's like five to seven of them in each series. There's a ton of series. And, I mean, I don't even know. They start in, like, May and end in mid June or something.
Cooper Comstock
It starts, like, late April and it
Mitchell Carsley
goes until it's just like, June. Generally, like, it just a completely new season.
JP Hovey
Right.
Mitchell Carsley
Rather than just, all right, here's the teams, and they're going to play a few games and decide a champion. It's like, no, you gotta. That's why LeBron has so many, like, extra seasons under his belt because he's played so many postseason. It's like, I don't know what year it is in the NBA for him, but it's. It's. He's probably played like, eight more.
JP Hovey
Right.
Mitchell Carsley
Cumulative seasons. But I do enjoy that about NHL and NBA. Like, those are up there for me just because of the, like, longevity of them.
Cooper Comstock
I think I would put, like. I just watched like, the other day the, like, the Preds and their run to the Stanley cup, and I'm like. And especially with the way the Olympics just went, like, the hockey culture, I'm, like, really starting to buy into, I think Stanley Cups definitely in the top three. I would put NFL playoffs at number one. Just being a football guy, probably Stanley cup at two. And I, like, the World cup is, like, obvious to me. But just, like, I think of, like, fan pop moments and, like, I feel like baseball has that.
Mitchell Carsley
I was gonna say I hyped up NHL and NBA. My. My number one goes without saying is baseball. Like, the crowd pops from a postseason home run are just.
Cooper Comstock
Dude, I watched insane. The Dominican Republic and Venezuela World Baseball Classic highlights. It was a party entire time. It, like, it was insane.
Mitchell Carsley
And that's like, the World Baseball Classic goes crazy, obviously, because it's countries and.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
Mitchell Carsley
Like, you know, but the, like, World Series and the. Just play, like, the. The atmosphere in October. Baseball is just, like, insane. Like, it's. It's fall. Like, fall classic for a reason. The ball flies a little further. Every. Every pitch matters a little more. Like, it's. I love baseball, so I'm biased for that.
Cooper Comstock
I think. I still think baseball needs to shorten their season. Yes. Every year comes down to, like, the playoffs. Like, it comes down to a singular game. But I feel like that would happen no matter how long your season is.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah. The only problem with that is baseball is just so old. They've been doing it for that way for so long, and it's just like, the players won't let that happen because it'll change their money. And also, I feel the same way about the NFL adding games. Like, all the history books and the records.
JP Hovey
Yeah.
Mitchell Carsley
All these great players that are about to, like, come to pass in the future that we don't even know about yet.
JP Hovey
Right.
Mitchell Carsley
Like, what are their career stats and records, like, all gonna look like compared to a dude like Aaron Jud or dude like Alex Rodriguez?
JP Hovey
What does this mean for LeBron's legacy?
Mitchell Carsley
What does this mean for LeBron's legacy? But I. I, like, I see shortening the season, but I. I really don't.
Cooper Comstock
It more so. Just sounds like hell as a baseball player, because I think Bryce said, like, 162 games in, like, 190 days.
Mitchell Carsley
It is. It's a lot.
Cooper Comstock
Like, 18 days off in six months,
Mitchell Carsley
and they got, like, the shortest off season.
JP Hovey
It feels like, Dude, 400 mil, I'm in.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah. Just, like, going to work.
Jack McPherson
Every day we do that, I'm going NFL playoffs at number one. It's the only playoff or sporting event that I've got to experience. My team, the Titans, make a run at two away games back to back, which will forever be one of my favorite memories as a sports fan. Even though we lost the AFC championship to the Chiefs. And there's something about it now that working with busing, the fact that we get a week off right After super bowl that like, psychologically does something to me where I'm like, man, I love this time of year. My second will be March Madness because, I mean, the first weekend of March Madness is unbeatable. I'm actually going to be in Vegas next weekend for a buddy's bachelor party for that with like 20 dudes. Might go to the Eagles. We're gonna watch out or hang out, watch ball. It's gonna be fun. So March Madness 2, number 3 that I was shocked. Hasn't even made a list is the Masters. The Masters weekend is. Even if you've never watched golf for more than five minutes in the year, you're tuned in at some point for the Masters. Something about it just makes you want to get back on the course. It's coming up here soon. When you see the promo start going with Georgia George, I mean, you start getting chills. So something about that. One of those that I want to make a trip down for really bad. Like probably for a practice round experience. The concession food, it's legendary. The cheap prices.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
Like, just put your phone up for the day, not even worry about it
Cooper Comstock
or around it is use one of
Jack McPherson
the phones they have there. They have like those like payphones.
Cooper Comstock
Just like not being able to use your phone. Beer and is like, did you.
JP Hovey
I went two years ago.
Cooper Comstock
Like, it's what, Like a beer is like five bucks. The sandwich, super.
JP Hovey
Sandwiches are super cheap. I can't. The beers might be normal priced, but all of the concession, like pimento cheese sandwich, $2.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
JP Hovey
All the merch is so expensive. But they're walking around at the Masters is one of those experiences. It's almost like going to the Grand Canyon and seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time. You're just speechless. It doesn't feel real. The Masters doesn't feel real. It's so well kept and it's so big. You're like cutting across hole number one and with the whole crowd and you just look to the left and look to the right. You do feel like you're not even in. You definitely don't feel like you're in Augusta, Georgia. Because for those that have been. That have not been to Augusta, Georgia, it's almost a nothing city.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
JP Hovey
And to have all of just that golf oasis right in the middle of it. It's too pure. Hopefully can go again, but it's definitely worth.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah, I would love to go. I've had like, you've gone to a practice round. I've had a couple buddies go to.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah.
JP Hovey
I went to Saturday.
Cooper Comstock
Oh.
JP Hovey
Which was fun.
Jack McPherson
Put some respect on it now.
JP Hovey
But I will say I think practice rounds might be better because everything is way more relaxed.
Jack McPherson
I've never been to him, but golfers are like interacting, acting more.
JP Hovey
It's just.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, I've heard the tension's not as big. Also an honorable mention. Before we kind of close this one
JP Hovey
out, I gotta hear Derek's too.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, we'll hear. There I is. And I feel like we would all agree with this. He's either Summer or Winter Olympics. I don't know if that fits in this mold, but. And I'd love to know if we're summer or Olympic people. But I want to hear from Derek, his top three.
Derek Witten
Yeah, it'd be World cup one. I think to your point, jp, the moments that come out of it are, it is universal language. Like there's one too with Mario Gutse when they're subbing him in in like the 111th minute in double overtime and he says, go win this for your country. And he subbed on and won. And it's just cool. Two would be NFL playoffs. I've been blessed with some runs 19 years ago that were really good and so we're happy about that. Another one that's interesting is Champions League. Like Champions League is the World cup but equivalent of soccer clubs. And so it, it turns out that but three to Jackson is Masters because it's like I don't watch golf a ton, but watching the same course and the same shots. Oh, he hit it there. Phil did that 13 years ago.
Jack McPherson
You know, the aiming corner is just gonna kill some people.
Derek Witten
Beautiful. I used my entire family plans data one time just watching the masters in a two day span because I just had.
Mitchell Carsley
Which is.
Jack McPherson
You're right.
Derek Witten
Thank you. Yeah.
Jack McPherson
American.
JP Hovey
Now to close it out, we can
Jack McPherson
choose our summer Winter Olympics. Yeah, I, I'm, I'll start since I proposed it and it is very tough because I love snowboarding so much and especially this past Winter Olympics, it felt like bigger than it ever has on just like such a big scale and everyone's super tuned in. But I'm gonna have to go summer because there's nothing like watching the swimming and the running and I. Something about it just feels more pure to me and like winners like, all right, we're gonna throw this in so we can give you guys a two year break and like so we don't have to wait a whole like election cycle to see the next races. But that's where I'm at. I'm a summer Olympic.
JP Hovey
I will also go summer. And I can just chop it up right to the. Or chalk it up to the track events. I love everything else but track. I feel like it's the first thing as human beings that we ever compete in.
Mitchell Carsley
Right.
JP Hovey
Just in our everyday life, it's a race. The first thing you ever competed in was a race against somebody. Yeah. And there's just something about that feeling. Being the fastest.
Mitchell Carsley
Yeah.
Jack McPherson
And to get to watch the fastest.
JP Hovey
I bet we all were the fastest at our schools.
Jack McPherson
Well, I'm just talking about from. From the jump, you know, we were the fastest.
Derek Witten
True.
Cooper Comstock
From conception.
JP Hovey
We won the first race.
Jack McPherson
Yeah.
Mitchell Carsley
See, I was thinking, like, racing at recess. Like, so JP very clearly talking about
Derek Witten
sperm, and you're like, yeah, recess.
Jack McPherson
Yeah.
Mitchell Carsley
They're both valid.
Jack McPherson
They are.
JP Hovey
They are. So I'm going to go Summer Olympics.
Mitchell Carsley
Mine is not even close. And mine is, like, more tied into the memory of, like, all the legends from the Summer Olympics. And, like, don't get me wrong, Winter Olympics. Growing up, watching Shaun White and Apollo, Anton. Oh, no. Like, that was obviously iconic. The Summer Olympics just waiting to see Usain Bolt run or Michael Phelps swim it. Just like. And just, like, as a kid, I just love summer more. So it's summer break and like, the Summer Olympics and all these legends. So it's summer for me by far.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. I feel like it kind of. I don't know if it's gonna be a clean sweep with Derek, but summer, it truly is. Like the swimming and the track and field and then like the.
JP Hovey
The soccer, football.
Cooper Comstock
But now the flags in there. I'm gonna be tapped in. I'm gonna be trying to make the team, but I don't think I have any shot.
Jack McPherson
But you're gonna be pretty old by then, isn't it?
Cooper Comstock
Next Olympics.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, but I mean, look, you gotta be.
Mitchell Carsley
You gotta get on it then I'll
Cooper Comstock
be 29, almost 30. Prime. The way. The way my athleticism is going, would I. With my age, I feel like that might be my peak.
Jack McPherson
Yeah, I agree. I'm just trying to motivate you. That's all I'm saying.
Cooper Comstock
That's what I need.
Mitchell Carsley
There's people that's been preparing for that team for years now. So you gotta.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. I don't know. How do you get even get in those crowds? So I. It is what it is, Derek.
Derek Witten
I'm summer as well, but for the reason that, like, every summer event is what I like to do for fun. And so to watch, like, basketball or swimming or even running in Track and be like, oh, that's why I can't do it winter. I can't snow. I can't skateboard. I can. I can ice skate, but I can play hockey. So summer being obtainable and then being like, oh, it's not obtainable at all, made it my favorite.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah.
JP Hovey
When I. When I was working at img, this is Summer Olympic story, there was this guy that was training, and obviously he was a track dude. I started talking it up with him a little bit. I'm asking him, oh, where are you from? I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. You know what. What events do you do? I do, you know, the 100 meter and the 200 meter. I was like, oh, snap. Have you ever been to the Olympics? He's like, yeah, three times. I was like, oh, dang. And this was so. This was in 2019. So I was like, which Olympics? 22,008, 2012, 2016. Did you have a favorite? Which one was your favorite? Well, probably the. I think it was a 2012 one. And he was like. I was like, oh, you know, how'd you do? You ever get a medal? He's like, yeah, I got silver. And I was like, you see, in the 100 meter, it's like, so you. You raced Usain Bolt? He was like, yeah, I did. And you see how you don't know my name? I'm thinking, wow. He was like. A lot of people say he's like, you know, or I. I like to say I'm the fat. I was the fastest man from Earth in 2012 because Usain Bolt, there's no way he's from this planet. And I'm like, dude, that. And that is just a testament to track of it being like, you're. You're either Usain Bolt or you're my guy. Richard Thompson, who's was the second fastest man in the world, would have won gold in any other Olympics, but because he's going against Usain Bolt in his peak week, we barely know who he is. And he actually coaches, and I coaches and teaches at IMG now. Amazing guy. Couldn't have a better attitude. But I was just thinking, wow, man. Like, this is the margins in track.
Cooper Comstock
Is Usain Bolt, like, the perfect name for, like, his sport?
Jack McPherson
Yes.
Cooper Comstock
I think of, like, any sport ever,
Jack McPherson
like, baseball, first run in recess, that he was gonna be the fastest kid, too. With that name, you. You grow up.
Cooper Comstock
Yeah. Like, I mean, with the name of, like, Bolt, like, you have to be fast. And it's like you saying, like, I call him insane. Bolt. Because she's insane.
Jack McPherson
It is there just to play on words.
Cooper Comstock
I know. I'm really cooking up here.
JP Hovey
All right. Like, end some episode on some laughs.
Jack McPherson
Yeah. What's the time at D57?
Derek Witten
48.
Sponsor Representative
Boom.
Cooper Comstock
Perfect.
Jack McPherson
Yeah. This is from last week. Thank you for sticking with us. Last week was a little bit of a lull.
Mitchell Carsley
We're getting back.
Jack McPherson
I didn't want to look at the comments. I'm not gonna look at them again this week because the oiler fandom, they're gonna kill me.
Cooper Comstock
But luckily, there weren't any bad ones last week. Now that we're saying it, they're gonna go back and be like, yeah, that was actually kind of. But that was completely on me for.
Jack McPherson
It's on us, man. Usain Bolt.
Cooper Comstock
Little technical difficulties, but we're back.
Jack McPherson
Yeah. Thanks for tuning in with us. Episode 39. Next week, episode 40 might have to have clump on again because he's turning 40 soon.
Cooper Comstock
That actually I was number 40 growing up in every sport.
Jack McPherson
So looks like next week is Mitch's episode.
JP Hovey
Yes, it is.
Jack McPherson
Set your.
JP Hovey
I can't wait to find out how you landed on number 40.
Jack McPherson
Thanks, guys.
JP Hovey
See y' all next week.
Jack McPherson
I'm U.S. transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. We all seem to be in a rush these days, from work to driving our kids around.
JP Hovey
But when you're behind the wheel, please do not speed.
Jack McPherson
A few minutes saved by going faster is never worth the risk. So follow the speed limit, enjoy the
JP Hovey
drive, maybe bring some snacks for the kids.
Mitchell Carsley
And know that along the way, you're
Jack McPherson
getting quality time with your family, paid for by nhtsa.

Episode 39 | March 13, 2026
In this episode of "Inside the Bus," the Bussin' With The Boys crew—Jack McPherson, JP Hovey, Cooper Comstock, Mitchell Carsley, and special guest Derek Witten—come together for a lively, nostalgic, and heartfelt bus session. They kick things off by discussing the departure of team member Garrett Hargis, then dive into genuine fan interaction by unboxing a special package from longtime listener “Mr. White Chocolate.” The episode goes on to spark vibrant debates about the most annoying parts of adulthood, the greatest sports tournaments of all time, and the enduring legacy of the Olympics, all delivered with the Boys’ classic mix of humor and camaraderie.
[02:42 – 05:37]
“He is now on to bigger and better things... We will sadly miss him on all fronts of our business, including Inside the Bus.” —Jack McPherson (03:09)
“Shohei Ohtani of podcasting industries, Garrett Hargis.” —JP Hovey (05:04)
[07:47 – 19:10]
“Sorry to hear that. Rest in peace to Mrs. Senior White Chocolate. It was a tough moment for sure…” —Jack McPherson, reading the letter (09:24)
“...he reminds me of the good old days a few years ago when there was hope.” —Mitchell Carsley (12:34)
“Old type feeling… He walked so Delaney could run.” —Cooper & JP (14:12–14:20)
“That’s only… a question only Mr. White Chocolate can answer.” —Cooper Comstock (18:20)
“He does have… literally Mr. White Chocolate 88 on TikTok. He does have a YouTube channel...” —Derek Witten (19:10)
“One of the best things about sports to me is… these pieces of memorabilia.” —JP Hovey (19:30)
[20:04 – 23:40]
[25:25 – 29:00]
“Moving is probably one of the top three worst things that you can do in your personal life.” —JP Hovey (30:36)
“The whole like half of November, December up till Christmas was so stressful…” —Mitchell Carsley (37:08)
[38:30 – 47:12]
“There’s no better atmosphere… just look up the first goal of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa...” —JP Hovey (38:46)
“The atmosphere in October baseball is just, like, insane… the ball flies a little further. Every pitch matters a little more.” —Mitchell Carsley (42:44)
“All these great players… what are their career stats and records going to look like compared to a dude like Aaron Judge?” —Mitchell Carsley (43:37)
[47:12 – 52:58]
“The first thing you ever competed in was a race… And there’s just something about that feeling…” —JP Hovey (48:53)
“‘You see how you don’t know my name? ...I was the fastest man from Earth in 2012 because Usain Bolt, there’s no way he’s from this planet.’” —JP Hovey (51:14)
“I’m gonna be trying to make the team, but I don’t think I have any shot.” (50:17)
The tone is genuine, light-hearted, and comedically self-deprecating. There is an undercurrent of nostalgia mixed with fresh locker room energy, a willingness to go on tangents, and an inclusive encouragement for listener interaction (e.g., send mail, drop comments). The Boys’ chemistry shines throughout, blending sports fanaticism with everyday life humor and the unique sense of “community inside the bus.”
