Welcome back to the weekly scroll powered by Call Her Creator podcast. This is the 15 minute or less update I give you on what's trending over on social media. Instead of spending hours scrolling the Internet, I'm going to break everything down for you. Everything that's happening in social this week. 15 minutes or less. Now real quick. If you want the inside scoop on what's actually trending, whether that's on reels or or Canva templates, you've got to get inside Club Influence. This is my all in one creator membership. Every week, me and my team send you fresh, real ideas with prompts, scripts, niche specific examples so you know exactly what to record and create. Every week you'll also get access to Canva templates. Swipe and steal captions, prompts. You never have to wonder what to post again. Okay, let's get scrolling. First on our list, Facebook's big throwback. So Facebook is dusting off an old feature which I think is kind of cool. It's the local job listings. They're back. So if you're a small business owner or a social media manager working with local clients, this is your chance to show up in your community again. Think hiring posts that double as brand awareness. Facebook might be old school, but but local visibility still converts. Next up, Meta's testing Meta verified for only $1 a month. Which kind of jealous about this because I'm pretty sure I pay what, $15 a month? Can't remember how much it is. 15 I think, but you heard that right, $1. Before you get too excited, it's a test, but it shows Meta is experimenting with more accessible verification. So my translation of this is they want more people verified. Without that monthly commitment, if it does roll out globally, expect a wave of blue Check businesses everywhere. Next up, Instagram is testing skippable ads on reels. That means you'll be able to skip ads just like YouTube, just like TikTok creators. This could affect your ad share payouts, but you just are cheering on this, this, this idea because Meta is clearly trying to balance monetization with user experience and so we'll see who wins here. Meanwhile, Meta told employees they need to use AI across every part of their workflow. So if you've been hesitant to integrate AI into your content creation, it's officially time. Okay, AI isn't coming, it's here. And the companies at the top are all in. My take is to use it as your copilot, not your replacement. So at the agency, we use it to help us write captions we help us for trend spotting. We help, like, there's so many things we use it for. If you're not on top of AI right now, you're gonna get left behind. Next up, let's talk about Instagram's new layout, because I'm not sure if I like it. They've shifted buttons again, making everything just a little harder to find. So reels are front and center. Why? Because Instagram wants you. Creating, not consuming. But seriously, can we stop moving the DM icon every six months? Come on, Instagram. Nobody cares about that. Next up, Instagram is also pushing users to turn their stories into reels. I don't like this idea. Stories are meant to be quick, raw, behind the scenes. Forcing reels everywhere just feels so desperate and like we're already getting bombarded with video all the time. So I just feel like this is going to push out even more shitty video. So if you're feeling that post fatigue, it's not you, it's just the platform is literally promoting it everywhere. Watch history for reels is officially here. So finally we can find that one reel that we loved, but we forgot to save it. This will be a game changer for creators because it makes content rediscoverable. So more replay value means more reel reach. I know for me especially, I watch something, it's like I'm building a house right now. So, like, home design is on me and my husband's brain and I'll see something and I might think, oh, I need to send this to him, and then I forget or I accidentally exit out of the app and then it's gone. So this is a really great way to go back and look at your watch history longer. Music on Stories is next up. You'll soon be able to add 45 seconds of a song to your stories instead of just the regular 15. This might sound minor, but it completely changes how you can build a vibe. Imagine full chorus moments or emotional storytelling. More like TikTok, less like a photo dump. Edits Edits app adds the reverse functionality. So the reverse clip feature, you're editing reels directly inside Instagram. This gives you a new level of creative control. Think transitions, rewinds, or cool visual effects. You don't have to have cap cut. You can do it inside of edits. Threads. Threads now has group chats, and they're rolling out globally. This could actually make Threads useful again. Imagine many creator groups or accountability pods or community chats without having to go to Slack or Discord. I really like the idea of a group chat. I don't know why it's taken this long to bring it over to threads. And speaking of threads, you can reorder your photos and videos before you post on threads. It's a small tweak, but it's huge for anyone who likes clean aesthetic storytelling. There's finally no more deleting your whole post just because one photo uploaded out of order. I don't know if you guys do that, but that is totally something that I struggle with all the time. And that is your quick scroll for the week. If you love seeing ahead of these social trends and you want to know which reels are actually blowing up right now, join me inside Club Influence. I will link it in the show notes.
