From and that's what you really missed. Jenna. Did you get your delivery?
Camille Luddington
I got my delivery Kevin.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I ripped it open.

I'm like a stickler now that I have kids for having high quality products in our house all the time and Dietz and Watson has done that. So like I'm not afraid that when Emma wants to eat all my prosciutto because she will, that it's okay for her to do that. Dietzen Watson has been handcrafting premium meats and artisan cheeses for over 85 years. They're family owned and operated and they never cut corners.
Kevin McHale
Ever. They do things the right way, even if it's the hard way.
Camille Luddington
They're transparent about what goes into their food and what doesn't.
Kevin McHale
They know good taste doesn't need a long list of ingredients and they stick.
Camille Luddington
To what matters, using the fewest, highest quality ingredients to craft their meats and cheeses.
Kevin McHale

I can do anything from my phone book, a vacation order, a meal from a five star restaurant, buy and trade stocks buy. But maybe the most amazing thing I can do is make my dirty laundry disappear and then reappear perfectly washed and folded. I have rinse to thank for that. I just schedule a pickup in the Rinse app or@rinse.com a Rinse Valet comes to get my clothes and before I know it they're back Crisply folded and ready to wear. They even do dry cleaning, which is returned hanging in a nice rinse garment bag. And with rinse, my satisfaction is guaranteed you. If for any reason I'm not happy, they'll reclean my clothes for free. Best of all, rinse saves me tons of time each week. That's time I get to do something I love versus something I have to do. So if you want to save loads of time by not doing loads of laundry, remember, there's an app for that rinse. Sign up now and get $20 off your first order at rinse.com. that's R I N S E dot com.

An iHeartRadio PODC. Hello, hello, hello. Call the crew. And welcome to another episode of Call it what It Is. This is part two with my sister wife, Aaron, and we're just gonna jump right back into it. Okay, so let's talk a little bit again about Gray's Anatomy. Would you date Link? We're gonna be honest.
Camille Luddington
Oh, my God.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And your. If your reason, your reasons, either way, your yes or you're no, I need, like, why?
Camille Luddington
I mean, because Link is so similar to Chris in a way.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Do you think so? Because he thinks that he's really different to Link.
Camille Luddington
He does?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
Okay. I mean, he definitely has his moments where he's moodier than l.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah, Link is pretty level headed, right?
Camille Luddington
Yeah, Link is like.
Jenna Eshkowitz
He has his moments, though. He does have his moments. He's pretty level headed.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. I just. I guess I just associate the two as so similar, but, like, I don't think I would seek Link out.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay. Why? Because his schedule sucks.
Camille Luddington
His schedule sucks, right? Because.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes. Okay. What is it about Link that maybe isn't as cute to you as Chris?
Camille Luddington
Well, he's so nice.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Is he almost too nice?
Camille Luddington
Too perfect? Yeah, sometimes I think he's too nice.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You want a little edge?
Camille Luddington
I think so. Yeah. I think.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think a lot of girls can relate to that, right?
Camille Luddington
Yeah. And I mean, I think if Link was a real person, I'm sure he'd have. I mean, he's a real person.
Jenna Eshkowitz
He's not a real person. He's a real person.
Camille Luddington
On our show. On your show? Yes. I feel like there'd be all these dimensions that we don't see because, I mean, you guys get like, I don't know, a 30 second scene. You don't know the dimension of anyone.
Jenna Eshkowitz
But you would want a little more bad boy.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. I think I probably Always went for a little more bad boy.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
Like I said, tortured.
Jenna Eshkowitz
A little more tortured.
Camille Luddington
Yes. But, I mean, if Link was pursuing me, I mean, he's a doctor. I know he's a surgeon.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Would you trust LinkedIn?
Camille Luddington
Yes, I think.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think so, too. I think so, too.
Camille Luddington
I think I trust any of the doctors.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Would you?
Camille Luddington
Great. Well, I mean, you guys are, like, the top people, right? Well, I think a lot of.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Honestly, I think about this all the time. If an ambulance was pulling up to Grand, Slow Memorial, I was in it, right? Like, I'm the patient. And I see. I'm like, keep going, Keep going. Because the disasters that happen at our hospital, I'm like, I don't care. Take me home.
Camille Luddington
I've seen some people's really hilarious takes on Doctors and Grey's Anatomy where it's like someone is dying or cannot breathe.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
And they're just like. Like, so I love you. And then you're just having these, like, relationship conflicts. That's the problem if you roll up.
Jenna Eshkowitz
To Grey's Anatomy and your surgeon is going through a breakup. Yeah. I don't know.
Camille Luddington
Very funny.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I don't.
Camille Luddington
Very funny stuff. Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay. If you could be on the show, would you want to guest star or recur or series regular as a doctor or patient?
Camille Luddington
Well, yeah. No. Hell, no. I do not want to be a patient.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, you don't want to be a patient.
Camille Luddington
Since you're dying.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You're most likely dying at some point.
Camille Luddington
You are dying.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Something's happening.
Camille Luddington
If you have recurring arc.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes. Right. Yes. It's true.
Camille Luddington
You're coming back and dying, like, in three seasons.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes, yes, yes. Okay. So doctor, is your answer. What specialty?
Camille Luddington
Dermatology.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Oh, my God. Wait.
Camille Luddington
I mean, sometimes I regret that I did not become a dermatologist. Dermatologist. Because, like, what better profession? You're just. You're helping people look their best.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I don't think we've ever had a dermatologist at Grace Lawn. Erin. I'm pitching right now. Like, someone coming in and being like, oh, my God, I have a pimple. And you're like, I'll take it from here, guys.
Camille Luddington
Stat.
Jenna Eshkowitz
They're like, paige, Aaron. You're like, I've got it. And you're, like, on top of them on the drink emergency. That's amazing.
Camille Luddington
Yeah, that's. I love this answer because, I mean, I'm sure, you know, dermatologists do some terrible stuff too, but I think. I don't. I just don't want to. I just don't want to see really sad stuff. And I mean. I mean, all doctors probably do, but.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes. Yes. No, I. No, no. I see. That's why trauma. I've always thought the traumas like what Owen has done and.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And looks so cool, but you're dealing with horrific cases every time. This is why Joe puts joy.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. And in delivering babies. That's wonderful, too.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I love the delivering of the baby.
Jessica Capshaw
And I would.
Camille Luddington
That would probably be my second choice, but dermatology, because you get. You get, like, discounted rates on everything you do. I'm pitch. So right now I could have a facelift at, like.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, I know. This is amazing. So I'm feeling like Joe could, like, deliver a baby. And then Link's like, where are you going? She's like, I have an appointment with Dr. Aaron. And it's like, you're giving me my Botox.
Camille Luddington
I will give you everything. Oh, my God.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Can we please make this happen? Nobody's. I don't know if anyone's given that answer ever. Oh, yes.
Camille Luddington
I've actually thought that about, like, in my life. I've thought many times. I wish I could become.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Listen, if you ever change careers and you want to do that, I will be. I'll be your guinea pig.
Camille Luddington
I tell Kai to go into plastic surgery.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
And you need to be a plastic surgeon.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Kai. Yes.
Camille Luddington
Give us a deal to steal both of our faces.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Totally. Okay, we're going to play a little game.
Camille Luddington
Okay.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Mary. Kill.
Camille Luddington
Okay, here are your options.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Link is one of them. They're gonna be your. Your husband's. Three of your husband's characters. Luke from the OC And Will from Nashville.
Camille Luddington
Okay. Okay.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Wherever you want to start. Wherever it takes you, Aaron. Okay.
Camille Luddington
All right. Well, I think Luke is.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Oh, my God. I thought you were gonna say kill.
Camille Luddington
Oh, really?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
Well, no, because he's got such a redeeming arc. Did you watch like I did?
Jenna Eshkowitz
I did. I did. I want.
Camille Luddington
I. I becomes a good guy. I think when I think back, though.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I still think of him as, like, bad boy. Yeah, but you fuck Luke.
Camille Luddington
And I look at. I mean, pictures of Chris when he was like, in his early twenties are like.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
I wish I knew you back, though. It's not fair. No, we make a lot of posts about that. Well aware, though.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I'm well aware. We've. We've also. Okay. Wow. That was not what I was expecting. Was it what you guys were expecting? No.
Camille Luddington
So what would you do to leave? Do I get to ask you?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay, I'll go after.
Camille Luddington
I'll go after.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay.
Camille Luddington
Okay. All right. Will Lexington. God, that's a hard one.
Jenna Eshkowitz
He's tortured.
Camille Luddington
I know. I don't want to kill him.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Oh, my God. You're gonna kill Will.
Camille Luddington
No, no, no, no.
Jenna Eshkowitz
But you have to kill somebody. You have to kill somebody. Okay.
Camille Luddington
Oh, God. All right, well, then I guess I have.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No. Just do it, Aaron. Do what you need to do what's in your heart.
Camille Luddington
Oh, my God.
Jenna Eshkowitz
What's your heart telling you?
Camille Luddington
No, but I love Will.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, you need to kill Link.
Camille Luddington
I need to kill Link. All right. Okay. But no. Cause, you know, we would never have a happy relationship, so I have to kill Will because, I mean, he married. He actually married a girl in the show. He had, like, a faux marriage before he comes out.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
And, you know, they were just so unhappy. And that would be me, so.
Jenna Eshkowitz
That's true. That would be you. That would be you. Okay. So Link survives.
Camille Luddington
Thank God.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Link survives.
Camille Luddington
I marry Link.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Just like you marry Link.
Camille Luddington
Just.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay. Okay.
Camille Luddington
I would. Full circle, sister wife.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Honestly, I think that. I think I have to do the same as you.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
I was gonna kill Luke.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I was. That was my instinct. But hearing you out, I understand the pick could be.
Camille Luddington
I mean, Julie Cooper. That. That's Marissa's mom.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes. Wow. I mean.
Camille Luddington
I mean, it was good. It was pretty good seeing.
Jenna Eshkowitz
That was pretty good seeing.
Camille Luddington
Listen, Chris, you read it differently. My age.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I know, I know. Are you. Do you get sick of. Because you made a post about. And this really made me laugh. And I've been on the other side of it, too, because people recognize Matt being the person who's the picture taker.
Camille Luddington
Oh.
Jenna Eshkowitz
When you're out and about, people recognize him as. Are you, like.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Is it. Is it. Do you find it annoying?
Camille Luddington
I don't.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I don't find it annoying.
Camille Luddington
No. I, like, I'm usually like, I'm really happy when. When people recognize Chris and Love and.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Are huge fans recognizing you, too. Now it's starting to be a little more.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Like, I love your page. I follow you both, but I think at the end of the day, like, people want their picture with Chris. I mean, he's their Grey's Anatomy, you know, their Stan.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
So I'm always just happy to be honest because I'm like, what's good for Chris is good for our family.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Like, totally.
Camille Luddington
I want. I want to know that the show is still making fans and, like, when they're super young, it's always. No, it's crazy. It's.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Wow.
Camille Luddington
This whole young generation who is loving my husband.
Jenna Eshkowitz
On tv.
Camille Luddington
I saw that. I'm proud of him.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
And. And like, when we first started dating in Nashville, it was crazy because.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Oh, I can't imagine what that was like.
Camille Luddington
Nashville is not a place. I'm sure Jess is dealing with this right now. People do not expect to see movie star or TV stars or anything in Nashville. Like, they'll. They'll see Keith Urban on the street and they'll be like, oh, there's Keith Urban. But if they see Connie Ritten or, you know, probably anyone on the show she's working with right now, they get real excited. And, you know, I'd be out dating Chris and we'd be at the bar and late at night and these bachelorette parties are there and these girls are like, completely wasted. Like, I know who you are or I don't know who you are, but you look very. Yes. Can I get a picture with you anyway?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay. So you feel like you had. You were even in the early days, it was like, this is what it's going to be.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Yeah. I was early introduced to that. I think I would say in la, it's less like people are a little more chill about it. They're not as.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
They're not as. So too.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think so.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think the only place that I feel like. And we've. This is at Disneyland.
Camille Luddington
Disneyland.
Jenna Eshkowitz
So, Aaron, I have been to Disneyland. I think twice.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Maybe three times.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Maybe three times. No, we were. We've been. We've been to Disneyland together.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Our families have gone together. It's always really fun. You know what I love about Disneylanding with you?
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think that you can only Disneyland with certain people.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You have to be picky because you know that your kids at some point are going to have a meltdown.
Camille Luddington
Huge meltdown. Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You're going to like, be reprimanding them. You're hot, you're sweaty, you're over it. At some point you need a shot. Over here in California Adventure. At some point you need like, another family that are not gonna judge you at Disneyland.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Cause it's gonna go down. That's the truth.
Camille Luddington
Yes.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And I love Disneylanding with you guys because I know that at no point if Matt and I are like, hate it. Get it. That you guys will be like, sight.
Camille Luddington
Like, oh, my God, you've heard me yell louder.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
No.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah, exactly. Right. Like, there's no judgment. So I love Disneylanding with you guys. I will go anytime.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
What is your favorite ride?
Camille Luddington
My favorite ride? Yes. I was thinking about that. God. Well, I personally loved cars. I loved it so much. I love cars too. I haven't been back on it since we went with you because now I have Ciel and she's too small and.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You were pregnant one time and you.
Camille Luddington
Couldn'T go and I couldn't go.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I know.
Camille Luddington
It's my favorite ride. I can't even go on it. But, you know, I love any ride that the kids are. The kids seem like an animatronic Olaf and their faces are just.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I know.
Camille Luddington
I'm like, this is amazing. Yes. Worth every minute.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
Least.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Favorite ride.
Camille Luddington
Oh, my God. Any, any of those that I'm like, Matt. Any that go circular. Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I'm just saying. Don't know. That's. Matt gets. Well, he hates any roller coaster, but.
Camille Luddington
He gets so sick. I'm like Matt on anything. Yeah. See, we were very. We're not going on this one, Dumbo.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, the teacups. Not on my watch. Yeah, no, I, I, I loved going to Disney and. But that is the place that I feel like we do get recognize.
Camille Luddington
Well, because there's people coming from all over the country or world, right? Yeah. And that's not just.
Jenna Eshkowitz
But it is. I have to say it is a compliment because I do always feel like we're on the air. That's why we're still on the air.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. You guys, you guys have a huge fan base. No, exactly. I love to see it. I love to see the, the fans coming up and it's.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah, yeah. With any fan base comes the positive and the negative. And now you are on social media and you have a lot of views, you have a lot of followers. Do you have, do you ever have negative comments? And then does it affect you? How do you deal with that?
Camille Luddington
Yes. No, I mean, we have the negative comments.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Do you read them or are you someone that, like, doesn't.
Camille Luddington
I. I used to probably read every single one.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
And I mean, it's just terrible.
Jenna Eshkowitz
There's.
Camille Luddington
Some of them are so shallow and it's like, it's like people hiding behind their, you know, avatars. And it's just like when people drive badly, they think they can treat you worse because you can't see their face or whatever. So it's annoying. But. And sometimes I used to get pretty upset and it was the first time for me, you know, being in front of a really large audience. So when I did music and stuff, maybe I got a review or something, but it was always nice. It was always like just positive stuff. So this was opening myself up to the world that you and Chris have been in front of for a long time. But, yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Does he care, though, if it's directed at you?
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Yeah. And I would talk to him about it sometimes, especially in the beginning when I would get really. You know, sometimes I'd get upset. But he had great advice. And ultimately, I think it's just now I don't look at them. I don't really care. I think if they're writing bad comments, then people are watching. A lot of people are watching. And that's great because that's what we're trying to do.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You're like, thanks for the view.
Camille Luddington
Yeah, exactly. Thanks for the engagement.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah, totally.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. And I have definitely realized that, I mean, it's not just me. People. People will find a way to, you know, hate on anyone for anything.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
And, you know, it certainly makes me want to add more positivity into the cybersphere. Like, when I comment, I want to be nicer to people. I want to, you know, engage more and in a positive way. But, yeah, whatever, you know, like I said, it's. It's. It means they're watching. And. And now I. Sometimes I'll look and I'll block or I'll delete a bunch of comments.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I love a mute. Aaron.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Do you know why I love a mute? Because if you. If you block and I. I do block, but if you block, they know that you've blocked them.
Camille Luddington
Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
But I quite like a mute because it feels like they don't know that you've paid any attention and you still don't get to see.
Camille Luddington
It's great. Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Sometimes I like a mute. I do a block.
Camille Luddington
So smart. Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Because you love a block.
Camille Luddington
It is like a bully, where if they know they're affecting you, then they're.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Always worried that someone's going to make another account, too and, like, just get you from that.
Camille Luddington
Oh, they will. They've done that to Chris. We had.
Jenna Eshkowitz
So I feel like that's why they mute. They think that you're still seeing it.
Camille Luddington
And you're, like, ignoring it. That's so smart. That's so smart. Yeah. Even. I mean, even Chris, like, our second post we ever made, I think that went really viral. He was answering a lot of comments because they were being nasty about just the content we posted. And then he quickly realized it was, you know, a very pointless quest to continue to answer these comments.
Jenna Eshkowitz
But I learned that in my 20s, too. I remember, like, you know, I would have, like, yeah, you know, be late one night. I'd be scrolling and I'd be like, you know what? Let me just tell you. And I'm like, it's that completely pointless.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And so, okay, what is one misconception that you feel like people may have about you that you would like to clear up?
Camille Luddington
Well, yeah, actually, it's funny. Sometimes I get the comment when people want to be mean. They're like, this woman's whole identity is her husband. And, like, you know what? Like, I get where that's going.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Should we go back to listing off all your accolades? We need to go back.
Camille Luddington
Well, that's the funny thing. I mean, social media is just this small part of my life that we've been doing for two years, three years. And we're also being smart in what we post because we know what gets views and what doesn't.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
And Chris and I, we did music before we did this couple content, and it was very hard to get views. Like, people don't watch that.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
So we transitioned to, you know, more comedy making light of Chris being an actor and I'm being married to him. Yes. So when I post videos that, you know, touch on that, that's what goes viral, because people are very interested in watching that. And of course, that's what everyone sees over and over again. So they think this is all this woman is. But, you know, I think that.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, I'm really glad that you. If you're getting that comment, I'm glad you're talking about it because I think a. Maybe people aren't understanding that, like, you're creating a brand together, too.
Camille Luddington
Yes, absolutely.
Jenna Eshkowitz
So you're leaning into a brand. It's a job. And there are not a lot of people that I see. And this is why I think you guys get a lot of viewers and people following you. There aren't a lot of people really leaning into the. My husband's an actor and I'm not, and it's a peek behind the curtain. And I think that's so fascinating.
Camille Luddington
I. I love that aspect. When I figured it out. And by the way, you helped me get there.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I did. How do I do it?
Camille Luddington
You posted a genius reel with Matt where you two were watching, like, a sex scene with Chris.
Jenna Eshkowitz
All the kisses. Oh, yeah. All the kisses. Like, previously on Grey Anatomy. So good.
Camille Luddington
That reel was like, Grammy or not Grammy Oscar winning.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And then guys did the right.
Camille Luddington
Well, and then you were like, chris, you guys should do an answer. Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
So we started brainstorming how to do it, and we came up with this way where I'm gonna fangirl over you.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And I love your hair.
Camille Luddington
I'm gonna Camilla's number one fan and then Chris is number two. But that and that did really well and it made me realize there is a huge audience. Everyone. All the comments were like. I always wondered what it was like to be married to an actor. To be married to an actor. What is it like? And I think people assume it's all glamorous or we're just. I'm just, you know, living the life in Hollywood and it's not like that at all.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, it's really not.
Camille Luddington
So, yeah. So that I started leaning into. Into that and that's sort of where we ended up.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah. Those comments are stupid.
Camille Luddington
Yeah, no, they are, they are. But like people need to take the time to, you know, go to my website or whatever if they really. But they're just trying to be mean, you know, they don't really care.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think that they'll find the truth is that people will find anything.
Camille Luddington
Well, that's good possibility.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I think that's true. Foreign.
Kevin McHale

Jenna Eshkowitz
Do you ever. Okay, one question was, do you guys scroll TikTok together as a couple and get influenced together?
Camille Luddington
Oh, sort of. I mean, we send each other reels a lot. So if probably, like, if you see something you want to do with Matt, you send it to him. Yeah, that's how it is with Chris. We see something that gives us an idea or just something funny.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Is he ever not down to do something you want to do?
Camille Luddington
Oh, yeah, yeah, totally. Dancing. He won't dance.
Jenna Eshkowitz
He won't dance.
Camille Luddington
He won't even do, like. Well, he'll. I do very minor dances. He will.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes. Yeah, yeah.
Camille Luddington
But he's always been like, I'm not gonna a lot of dancing. Well, he also did the dasha dance. The suju boots.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
Oh, that one within his shorts and his.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Are those your shorts?
Camille Luddington
No, he made that.
Jenna Eshkowitz
About those shorts. Let's talk about those shorts.
Camille Luddington
Do you ever.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Do you ever watch those reels and think, please, God, no. Like, the shorts and the boots are taking it too far. Oh, my God, the tan lines.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. No, I mean, I knew I. That whole thing was planned. I mean, we knew. I knew exactly what he was doing. So did he make them himself? He went. He went to the, like, Walmart or Target, wherever. He bought a pair of jeans. He cut them himself. Yeah, that was. That was a whole. He got his will Lexington hat on. It was great.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay, do the girls. This is really funny because it's actually has to do with you a little bit. Hayden just started under. So she knows Kai, right. And so she'll talk about Kai and she's like, oh, that's Kai's daddy. Oh. And then recently, she heard me doing an interview outside, and for the first time, she was really confused, and she was like, you're married to. Like, you're married on the show. And I had to take her through the. I'm married on the show. Who am I married to? Kai's daddy. And then she even said, do you have to kiss? And I was like, me and Robert. Wow. Because she was, like, kind of horrified. Is Kai starting to learn what Chris does for a living?
Camille Luddington
Yeah. I'd say those are very mature questions for her age. Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I feel like she knows now in movies that people might smooch.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. At the end.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Right. And it's like she's, you know, she's, you know, she's at the age where she's starting to be like, oh, my God, they kiss.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And so I think that when she heard that I was married on the show, she was like, do you have to smooch? And I was like this. I didn't know what to say. I knew what to say, but I didn't know what to say. At the same time, I was like, yes, but it's not a real kiss.
Camille Luddington
Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
But is Kai also. She's a little bit older than.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. She has not asked about the intimacy of it at all, but she is aware that he's an actor. Of course, and he's got a life on the show.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
But, yeah, she's never really questioned a whole lot about. I mean, she knows you, too.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I know, I know.
Camille Luddington
But she's never been like.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I don't think Hayden would have put it together except for I was doing an interview about. Right. Sort of the finale and everything.
Camille Luddington
Yeah, yeah. Well, Chris. And Chris does so little pres. She probably doesn't hear it much.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You know, Kai's like, I need Chris to step it up.
Camille Luddington
He's other life. I know. Yeah. He doesn't do a whole lot, but yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
She is aware that people knew who he is now because places like Disneyland, where they'll stop and want his picture. And so she knows. And I think some of her friends might even be aware. But. But it's still all really innocent and sweet.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You have started to teach or you've been teaching Kai the violin for a while.
Camille Luddington
Yeah, well, teaching, sort of.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I.
Camille Luddington
She has a teacher as well that we take her to.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
Because I tried being her sole teacher when she was young, and that was not working. Way too frustrated, too fast.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Because your dad taught you, am I right?
Camille Luddington
No, no, no. My dad plays guitar. I did play with my dad. I grew up playing with him. But no, neither of my parents played violin. Had a separate teacher. Yeah. So they were very hands off with the violin. They just like, oh, you're good at this.
Jenna Eshkowitz
So they threw you into violin at three years old.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. I started just because.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Just for.
Camille Luddington
There was a program. I came from the boondocks, and there was not a whole lot going on. And my mom said that they were offering the Suzuki program, and I was an only child, and she was just trying to find ways to enrich my life in Liberty, New York.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And so, yeah, seriously enriched, because you're amazing. Do you think that Kai would and might end up wanting to be a musician, like, because there's so much music going on in your household?
Camille Luddington
I don't know. I. I think she also takes it for granted in a way that I didn't. Um, so, you know, time will tell. She. She's very good for her age. You know, she gets a lot of praise from other adults. And whenever she does, like, she did a music camp, and they had a mock competition, and it was kids, high school kids she was competing against, and she got what. I mean, it was a mock company. It wasn't anything. But.
Jenna Eshkowitz
That's amazing.
Camille Luddington
But, yeah, no, she's. And she takes that for granted, too, that she can just play this instrument better than most people her age. So I don't know. We'll see. Because I still have to be the one who's like, get your violin out. We have to practice. Like, I practice with her. I haven't seen a whole lot of just motivation and drive on her own to. I want to get really good at this, and I don't want to push it, because then if you don't love.
Jenna Eshkowitz
It, it's so hard because I feel like I. So I actually would not want Hayden to be an actor, but I loved the musical Annie as a kid. I always wanted to be an actor, and if I had gotten to do Annie, I would have been, like, obsessed. Right. And so she had the opportunity to do Annie, really, And she had a role on Annie. And after she was done, I was like, oh, my God, she's gonna have, like, loved it.
Camille Luddington
Yeah.
Jenna Eshkowitz
She could not have given a shit. There was, like, the. Whatever. The opposite of, like, getting the acting bug was like. Like, that was her. And it was kind of disappointing.
Camille Luddington
I know. I know. It's, like, exactly the same with us. It's. We just expect them to be. Because we're both entertainers. We're both in music and theater and everything. And. Yeah, Kai's done some theater, too. Do you love it? You know, and she likes it, but I don't see. Yeah, I don't see the same passion, but maybe, maybe it'll come.
Jenna Eshkowitz
It is interesting when you come from parents of like, two actors or two musicians like that, you're kind of thinking like, oh, my God, they're gonna be born with the itch to do it.
Camille Luddington
Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Like, it's their. You know, they could want their own.
Camille Luddington
It's a totally different environment for them.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
And. And I mean, but they. They surprise me all the time with things that they love and they're good at. So I think, you know, letting them be their own individuals, it's hard because I just really trying to just make a carbon copy of my life, but I don't want that.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Let's talk about motherhood really quick before you go.
Camille Luddington
Okay, sure.
Jenna Eshkowitz
What is one thing that you wish you had sort of known about motherhood before you started? I know it's such a big question.
Camille Luddington
No, no. I guess that, like, I mean, your involvement, your love for this human being and your overall, your life is never going to be what it once was. And, I mean, maybe I mourn that, like, carefree life I had a little bit, but at the same time, I mean, I can't imagine a world with my kids not existing in it. Like, I'm so happy I had them. And I wasn't. I wasn't one of these people who grew up like, I want to have a family, I want to have two kids, I want to get married. I was just sort of winging that whole thing. Like, let's see what happens. I was really focused on my music career. And so when I got pregnant with Kai, I didn't know how to feel and I didn't know what it was going to be like after I gave birth. But then I was one of those people who gave birth and like, all the endorphins, all the serotonin, I was just so happy. I was so in love. Changed my world and then never gone back.

Camille Luddington
There are many versions of what happened in 1969 when a young Ted Kennedy drove a car into a pond and left a woman behind to drown. There's a famous headline, I think in.
Jenna Eshkowitz
The New York Daily News, it's Teddy Escapes Blonde Drowns.
Jessica Capshaw
And in a strange way, right, that sort of tells you the story really became about Ted's political future, Ted's political hopes.
Camille Luddington
Will Ted become President?
Ryan Seacrest
Kappaquiddick is a story of a tragic.
Camille Luddington
Death and how the Kennedy machine took control. And he's not the only Kennedy to survive a scandal. The Kennedys have lived through disgrace, race affairs, violence, you name it.
Ryan Seacrest
So is there a curse?

My Uncle Chris is definitely somebody worth talking about. He was the kind of guy that used Confederate flags as window curse curtains, lived in a trailer with an ex con and a retired stripper, left loaded machine guns laying around, drank a bottle of whiskey a night, claimed he could kill a man with his bare hands, drove a garbage truck for a living, spoke fluent Spanish with a thick Southern accent and is currently buried in a crypt alongside the founding families of Panama. Listen to the Uncle Chris podcast to hear all about him and a whole lot more. This collection of stories will make you laugh, it'll make you cry. And if I do my job right, they'll let you see the world and your place in it in a whole new way. I can't wait to tell you all about Uncle Chris. Listen now to Uncle Chris on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I feel like looking back, I didn't know. I didn't even know this existed. But now looking back, I think I know that I had postpartum anxiety. Did you have any experience like that with either of your girls?
Camille Luddington
I don't think. I think postpartum for me, I had. I was just really, like, euphoric, you know? Like, very. Yeah, it was an amazing. I wish I could go back to that.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Oh, my God, that's incredible.
Camille Luddington
Beforehand, I was maybe a little depressed. I was very. I mean, as a pregnant person, I would get really depressed.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I was not cute.
Camille Luddington
No, I wasn't not cute either. And I also, especially the first time around, I was like, oh, my God, my career's over, my life's over. What am I gonna do? You know? Yeah, it was scary. It was a very stressful time. But, you know, it all works out. They say, you know, babies bring their own luck, and they really do. Yeah. I love that. I've never heard that.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I love that. I do. One thing that I wish I had known is I really kind of pictured Hayden as a mini me before she was born. And I'm like, I'm gonna know how to handle this. And she's so different to me as a kid.
Camille Luddington
Yes.
Jenna Eshkowitz
That it kind of threw me, like, and sometimes it still does, where I'm like, okay, I have to, like, rework how to communicate this to her because she's not me.
Camille Luddington
Yes. Do you find that with a hundred percent. 100%.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Is one of your girls more similar to you than the other?
Camille Luddington
Um, well, it's hard to tell with the little one, even though I think maybe she might be more. More of my disposition. But Kai is. Yeah, she's so. She is her own person. She is very independent. She is not a people pleaser. And I was. I was 100% a people pleaser from early childhood. I mean, I can remember just. I did not want to upset anyone. And I just.
Jenna Eshkowitz
You talk a lot about people Pleasing on the show.
Camille Luddington
Really?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Do you consider yourself a former people pleaser or do you still feel like you're sort.
Camille Luddington
You are. I. Gosh, yeah. Maybe I've gotten a little better.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
In my wisdom. My age. But I. I think I was always a person who had a hard time saying no. And, you know, and it's even hard with friendships and stuff because then you get taken advantage of lot. If you're a person who's just always saying, yeah, I'll do what you want.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yes.
Camille Luddington
So. But yeah, I mean, in school, you know, grade school, in college, college, in working in Nashville, I just wanted to get it right for someone else.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
Which I don't want that for my kids, but.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And so Kai's already like, screw that.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Which is great. I think it's great. I like that too. She's very independent. Yeah. She's not worried about, you know, I.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Suppose she'd like it for girls, I'll be honest.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Yeah. It's so much better than.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
I mean, there. There are some upsides because you're. You're very polite and you're always, you know, you're reading the room really well.
Jenna Eshkowitz
As a parent, the non. People pleaser can be toug.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Right.
Jenna Eshkowitz
As a parent, you're like, that's pleasing.
Camille Luddington
Just a little bit.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
Yeah. Just. Yes.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Just a little.
Camille Luddington
Pleases.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah.
Camille Luddington
Please. Yeah. So, you know, I think it's normal, though. We all want our kids to be super well mannered. Well, really polite. Do well in school. Like, we have this checklist of things and. And I, as a people pleaser, as. As, you know, goody two shoes. I got great grades. I did it. I did everything my mom wanted me to do. I practiced. I did. You know. So it remains to see what happens with my kids.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I know the dynamic is you relearn a lot about yourself with a kid that's not like you.
Camille Luddington
Absolutely. Yeah. No, it's interesting. And that's exactly what I would have said about something that I expected is motherhood. That just threw me for a loop.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah. Before you go, I need to get really serious with you, Aaron.
Camille Luddington
Okay.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Because I watch your online videos a little bit like a stalker. And sometimes I'm just. They're very funny. But sometimes I'm just mesmerized by your abs. And I'll have to watch it again because I'm like, are those real? She's had two kids. Are those really her abs? And then I looked at my own stomach, and I know that for Grey's Anatomy, you Can't even. They don't even bother spray tanning abs on me.
Camille Luddington
Chris is painting them on for me.
Jenna Eshkowitz
There's not. No, there's not. No, there's. There's no spray tan that could give me your abs.
Camille Luddington
Oh.
Jenna Eshkowitz
So before you go, spill a little workout secret that you do, because first.
Camille Luddington
Of all, can I tell you. Can I tell you how hot I think you look all the time?
Jenna Eshkowitz
I.
Camille Luddington
Listen, seriously, I. So hot right now. I'm like, she's so hot.
Jenna Eshkowitz
This is. This is. She's being very nice. What is the workout secret so nice?
Camille Luddington
Well, you know what took the core into overgear was I got into Pilates like every girl.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Are you doing reformer Pilates?
Camille Luddington
Reformer Pilates? I'm not. You know, I'm currently not, but I. For a while, when my kids weren't deathly ill and we had, like, some childcare, I would go to Pilates every day.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And Would you literally go every day?
Camille Luddington
Well, I did, yes. I would go every day. Like, five days a week. And then. And then sometimes this is, I think, the best for. For a shredded abs. If you can do Pilates, like, every other day and then do a hiit workout. Some kind of hiit. I don't know if you. If you like Barry's Boot Camp or Orange Theory or something where you're gonna run and, like, burn all the calories. If you can do that, like, twice a week.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Aaron, you're still running.
Camille Luddington
That is so Chris isn't, as you know.
Jenna Eshkowitz
And if I had a serial killer behind me, I would just stop, because there's no point in me even trying to run, dude. I literally just.
Camille Luddington
10 miles an hour. I'm not treadmill. I'm like, how are you doing that?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah. I can't believe that you're. I literally. After two children, there is no point. I would just be like, I'll get in the van, whatever, because there's. If I try and run, you're gonna get me anyway. I'm gonna last 50ft.
Camille Luddington
But you know what? There's some fun classes where you don't have to use the treadmill. Now there's, I think, like, Bunda. It's like StairMaster. You can find him with rowers. Come work out with me.
Jenna Eshkowitz
No, I do. No, Byron, please don't even want to. Please take me, because I have been pregnant with twins on Grace and Addie for three seasons, for 300 years, and I've been loving my life. And there's gonna be a point where hopefully. Fingers crossed, right? Joe gives Birth to these beautiful babies. And then Camilla's gonna have to. You're not gonna be the same. And I think beat.
Camille Luddington
Oh, you look great.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I need you. That's what I need. I need you. It's funny because I was actually. This is like a Freudian slip. I was telling Matt that I was going to restart Reformer Pilates, right? And I was like, matt, I'm really serious. I'm going to get back into it. Because I was, like, very into it in my 20s. And I'm like, there's this new place to open down the street. They have. I go, they have all new recliners. And he goes, recliners? And I go, yeah. And I'm going to be like. He's like, you just said recline.
Camille Luddington
Recliner. It's like, sign me up.
Jenna Eshkowitz
That is where my head is at right now. That is the class I want to take, where we just all. We just go in and we sit in a recliner, and that's the work. And then you leave. And I was like, okay, maybe I'm not ready. Mentally. I'm not there yet.
Camille Luddington
I know. You know the closest you're gonna get to recliner is the reformer, right? Like a nice padded.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Exactly.
Camille Luddington
Right?
Jenna Eshkowitz
Okay, so, you guys, I'm gonna let Erin go because she's a busy lady, but when you eventually see Joe Wilson without a shirt on, it'll probably be a spray tan app. But maybe one tiny AB would be because of Aaron. And I will tag her on that app.
Camille Luddington
Oh, yes.
Jenna Eshkowitz
Thank you so much for being here with me today.
Camille Luddington
Thank you for having me. So fun, you guys.
Jenna Eshkowitz
I know you have more questions for her. She will be back. We're gonna steal her away from Chris again. And so send us every question you have. And Erin, thank you for being here. And let's call it the end of the episode.
