I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas although I’ve lived in Utah, Missouri, and Illinois. I’m the proud mother of two grown daughters and seven grandchildren. I hold a doctorate in Education and am a retired Educator. I’m now starting my third career: Author. I wrote “Oh the Frogs I Kissed Before I Finally Found My Prince” a dating memoir for seniors trying to navigate the senior dating pond. My story ends well: I found my Prince! We spent 12 great years together when he relocated to Heaven 4 years ago. Dating at 55 is much different than when we were in high school! I was a caregiver for my late husband because he had Parkinson’s Disease. As such, ten percent of all net profits from the sale of my book will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Sandra (Sandi) Savell published “Dear Clueless: A Daughter’s Journey Through Alzheimer’s Caregiving” in 2015. It is the story of a decade of caregiving as her mother progressed from forgetfulness, to not knowing who she was, and, eventually to her passing from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Although she had already experienced the deaths of her maternal grandmother, an aunt, her father and a cousin from Alzheimer’s; it was the day-to-day caregiving of her mother that prompted her to write this book.YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCocxjr6WHxJn0k-qFHGgUNw?view_as=subscriber
