It's been a while since I've released an episode. I'm heading to the AI Engineer World's Fair tomorrowv If you're going to be there, I am going to be wearing a Superman shirt, so come say hi! I would love to talk to listeners and hear how your prompting journey has been going.I'm also planning on restarting the podcast, with one of a couple different directions: agents, vibe coding, or using reasoning models. Which one would you find most useful? I'm part of Synthminds, and I brought on our marketing genius Eldad Sotnick-Yogev. He often takes the roleplaying technique a step further, by asking it to write like specific famous people. Hemingway is great for short and succinct writing; Donald Miller: storytelling; Gary Vaynerchuk: striking. And you won't believe his favorite person to use (I definitely didn't): Joan Rivers! He also shared the best metaphor for explaining how to _work with_ ChatGPT: "ChatGPT is C3-PO. Han Solo hated it. Unless he started yelling at it, he couldn't get it to work. Luke Skywalker understood how to banter with it and it produced for him regularly."We also discussed the recent paper Large Language Models Understand and Can Be Enhanced by Emotional Stimuli: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2307.11760.pdf and also discussed by PromptHub.us: https://www.prompthub.us/blog/getting-emotional-with-llmsStay in touch on:Youtube: youtube.com/@PromptEngineeringPodcastTelegram: https://t.me/PromptEngineeringMastermindLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14231334/Support the show

While at AI4, Wes from How To Talk to AI [ https://httta.substack.com ] and I interviewed the CEO and CTO of Vital.io They just launched a really cool tool: it turns your jargon-laden doctor's notes into something you can actually understand. You paste text, upload screenshots, whatever you want to do. Try it out yourself! http://vital.io/translate (it's free)Unfortunately our recording systems had a hiccup, so around 11 minutes the audio quality isn't quite as stellar. Still worth listening to for some very interesting points!00:00 Welcome, and we're with HTTA 10:52 Less great audio from here on, sorry!Next mastermind:To attend the next mastermind (no cost), go here: PromptEngineeringMastermind.comStay in touch on:Youtube: youtube.com/@PromptEngineeringPodcastTelegram: https://t.me/PromptEngineeringMastermindLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14231334/Support the show

Hi, Greg here. Apologies for the delay in publishing. I am unfortunately struggling with some pretty serious depression and anxiety. I'm going to be getting on a new medication, so I definitely will be coming back. Episodes will start appearing in your feed again late July, and I will also be doing the next Prompt Engineering Mastermind late July.In the meantime, I have been helping organize a hackathon in San Diego: https://lu.ma/sdxai So if you're in California, we would love to have you come. And I've also been getting messages from people saying how much the Podcast and the Mastermind have been helpful for them. And that has been phenomenal right now. So thank you so much for those. I will be back soon. Depression is a thing, but I'm gonna be okay. And the new medication will help. Thanks. See you soon. Support the show

We've all heard how amazing Bard and Bing are supposed to be. Supposedly ChatGPT is "dead" because of them, right? Particularly because they can access the internet, and ChatGPT's "browsing" ability is still in paid beta. Well, I did some brainstorming and compared how all three do. You're going to be shocked by the results -- I certainly was.To beta test my Prompt Engineering course: PromptEngineeringPodcast.com/courseNext mastermind:To attend the next mastermind (no cost), go here: PromptEngineeringMastermind.comStay in touch on:Youtube: youtube.com/@PromptEngineeringPodcastTelegram: https://t.me/PromptEngineeringMastermindLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14231334/Support the show
