In this first episode of a new season Check Out This Podcast series, host Gabby Dunn chats with The Drag's executive producer, Jake Gripp, about the podcast "Alive with Steve Burns". Burns was the original host of Blues Clues. And while his time on Blues Clues was for the kids, nowadays, Burns is tackling the complicated questions of adulthood. Jake and Gabby dive into an episode of "Alive" which takes on the topic of parasocial relationships and Burns's relationships with his fans.

"Check Out This Podcast," hosted by UT Austin student Gabby Dunn, returns this May. Now in video podcast form, each episode dives into someone's favorite podcast: the stories they love, the moments that stuck with them, and why they can't stop recommending it. From hidden gems to comfort listens, "Check Out This Podcast" is all about discovering what makes podcasts so meaningful to different people.

On this week's episode, we join Katey (the pop culture diva) and Quigley as they dive into the WikiHole: a place where you end up with more questions than answers. We listen to "WikiHole" with three special guests who bring the comedic timing and commentary. If you love going down niche rabbit holes on Wikipedia, tune in for this new episode!

Katey and Quigley return to tell you about a podcast classic, "Mystery Show"! We follow a journalist as she navigates the case of…a belt buckle? Join us as we remember why we loved this series, and why we think you should check out this podcast!

Katey and Quigley review the most nonsensical podcast yet, "Sleep With Me." Did it help Quigley fall asleep?? That's a throwback to episode one – #IYKYK – but to find out, you'll have to listen to this episode!

Katey and Quigley aren't sure what's real anymore after diving into this episode of "Valley Heat". One thing is for sure, the absurd drama of this podcast is amping up with cheating scandals and a mystery jaguar. If you're looking to listen to fictional neighborhood gossip about the real neighborhood of Rancho Equestrian District of Burbank, California, you've found the right episode!

Quigley and Katey do NOT recommend traveling 12 miles from land into international waters...you might end up on this podcast! The duo listens to "The Outlaw Ocean", an investigative series of crimes that occur in the most unexplored area of earth – the deep sea. If you enjoy pirate tales and tracking down the bad guys, check out this podcast!

Katey uses telepathy to read Quigley's mind…and he's saying…he has lots of thoughts about today's podcast episode. We listened to "The Telepathy Tapes", taking listeners on a journey with non-speaking autistic individuals experiencing what the podcast host claims is telepathy. Or is it? If you're interested in the debates on pseudoscience, have a listen!

On the evening of April 16, 1960, a young woman from McAllen, Texas named Irene Garza went to church for confession. She never returned home. A week later, her body was found floating in a canal. In Season five of "Darkness," host Talisa Treviño details the decades-long fight for justice for Irene. Hear from the investigators who tackled the case and Irene's loved ones, as well as survivors of abuse in the Catholic church. Subscribe now wherever you get your podcasts.

Katey and Quigley listen to "Strangers on a Bench," a look into the inner lives of everyday people sitting on park benches. Other topics include Tom Odell, the importance of telling stories and not being completely sure what day (or week) it is.
