Noah
Everyone just shut off the podcast.
Fran
Fran had a wedding last night that she had to travel for. So it's just us today. And we do have a great interview with with Isabel Klee, who you guys may know from TikTok Instagram. Fran is on that, but right now it's just me and Noah. How was your weekend, Noah?
Noah
Pretty on a vetville, but I enjoyed it.
Fran
Nice.
Noah
Went to Peter Luger's for the first time on Thursday night with the family for my dad's birthday. It's good.
Fran
Overrated or what?
Noah
I knew going. I'm a big atmosphere guy.
Fran
Yeah.
Noah
Like, I kind of look at that before I even, like, think about the food when I'm looking at restaurants. But I knew going in it wasn't that. So I was just like. Let me just judge it only off the food. And the food was amazing. And it was a cool, like, old school. Have you been?
Fran
Yeah, I've been.
Noah
Yeah. Yeah, it's like.
Fran
It's just, like, the vibe of it.
Noah
Yeah, it's. It's cool.
Fran
Yeah.
Noah
But no, other than that, I, like, literally did nothing.
Fran
Nice.
Noah
I feel like I'm getting sick again, which I'm. I'm not happy about.
Fran
Well, let's hope not. You got your big London trip coming up. This weekend was Matt's birthday, and we had a lovely day. Booked a hotel in Brooklyn, booked a couple's massage, and coincidentally. And this is like. It's one of those feelings that you just can't replicate. I'm texting one of my best friends, and I'm, like, letting her know what I'm doing, and she's like, wait. I'm literally pulling up to that hotel right now. Like, so weird. I don't know why I didn't mention, like, what hotel we were staying at before then to her, but I just slipped, I guess. And she was like, wait, I'm. I'm in. I'm actively pulling up to the hotel as we speak for her other friend's birthday. At the bar at the hotel, I'm like, wait, what? We're literally walking to the bar of the hotel, and she's literally like, my best. I was like, wait, this is so. You can't replicate that feeling, you know, running into one of your best friends when you have no idea that you're gonna be in the same place in a place that you both would never be. Just like. It's like seeing a teacher outside of school, you know? It's like, oh, my God, I can't believe you're here. But we had, you know, you know, big dinner, surprise dinner, and I'll say this. Very good.
Noah
You were hyping this place up a lot.
Fran
I was. Because it's been hyped up a lot. Very good. Here's the thing. Saturday night, you run out of items. That's not okay in my book. I don't think you can run if you. You know what I'm saying?
Noah
It's Like, I never get the run out of items, saying, I'm not like a. I've never worked at a restaurant or anything like that. But it's like, if you're a. An acclaimed restaurant, you've done that. You do this every day. Don't you know what you need, like, on a daily basis?
Fran
And you got the hype around you, and people are waiting months to get in your restaurant, and then they come on a Saturday night, and you're out of items. So, you know, right off the bat, I'm like, okay, they're out of the items that we really wanted, but that's all right. And then I say to the waiter, and I don't usually do this. You know, I don't want to put pressure on the waiter. I usually know what I want to. You know, I do a lot of stuff, studying of the menu. I really look into the food. I'm really studying it up. Before I go, I hit the waiter with a. Oh, do you recommend some things on the menu?
Noah
I always like to do that.
Fran
Right. Cause they know what people order a lot, and they know what's best. He hits us with charred vegetables, my guy.
Noah
I mean, hey, maybe that's your chicken.
Fran
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. If I'm asking you what you recommend on the menu and you hit me with, I think you should try the charred vegetables. Are you just trying to get rid of the produce in the back? Because I don't understand, out of all the things on the menu, why you would recommend the charred vegetable? Vegetables are great. You got to have a side of vegetables. But this is a birthday dinner. I don't want a whole table full of. I already ordered one vegetable.
Noah
Did you ask him to, like, specify entrees or.
Fran
Yeah, I said anything on the menu. What do you think we should add here? I think if you're looking at char. Charred vegetables. I was shocked and appalled. But other than that, it was. It was delicious. We had a great time. We got a couple's massage. I had a woman, Matt had a man. And we were like, huh? We would think it would be swapped.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
You know what I mean?
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
Like, they would give the man to the. You know, like, usually they would swap that.
Noah
Yeah. Did one of you have a better experience or.
Fran
I think we both had a great experience. And Matt was like, you know what? He had strong hands.
Noah
I was gonna say. I mean, that. That would be, like, the positive there, I guess.
Fran
Right.
Noah
He was like, listen, the only massage I've Ever had. Is Singapore still. So.
Fran
Yeah. Yeah, that was a good one. No, this was really good. It was very relaxing, and that was really it. Then we went to the movies on Sunday. Rainy Sunday.
Noah
So I like a good rainy Sunday.
Fran
When you wake up on a Sunday, it's like, no pressure to go outside. It's raining. You just feel a lot better.
Noah
I woke up because usually, you know, like, I'll wake up on a weekday thinking it's the weekend and then be like, fuck, like, I have to get up and whatever. I had the opposite on Sunday where I woke up thinking it was a work day and then checked my phone and was like, it's Sunday. I can just go back to sleep.
Fran
Oh, my God. Do you, like, jump for joy?
Noah
No, I just went back to sleep for, like, three hours.
Fran
Honestly, I wake up on the weekend so early for some reason. Meanwhile, I wake up at the same time during the week, but it's so much harder for some reason.
Noah
But on the weekend, I'll wake up early, maybe get a bagel, eat it, and then go back to sleep.
Fran
You know, there's something about Matt loves this Saturday morning TV in bed. Like, we. We woke up Saturday morning, it was his birthday, and I'm like, what do you want to do today before we go to the hotel and everything? He's like, you know what I want to do?
Noah
Watch cartoons.
Fran
I want to watch TV in bed Saturday morning. I want to watch the Sopranos.
Noah
Oh, the Sopranos.
Fran
Yeah, we watch the Sopranos. Wow. I'm like, fuck, yeah. Nothing that kind of.
Noah
It's an interesting, like, first morning.
Fran
He just fucking loves throwing on TV on a Saturday morning in bed.
Noah
Yeah. You know, I mean, that's kind of. I just get out of bed, like, here's the thing.
Fran
You are in my world. I am never turning the TV on in bed during the week. Like, work week.
Noah
Yeah, I usually don't watch TV in my bed. Cause my. I mean, also, like, it's like, I don't live in, like, a mansion. Like, my living room's 10ft away.
Fran
So, like, I don't live in a mansion either. I'm just saying, like, no, no.
Noah
I'm just saying in my mind, like, I don't feel the need, like. And also, my TV's way bigger in my living room where I'm like, if I'm gonna watch tv, I'll just watch tv. Go to the living. It's not like it's five feet away from, like, my other room.
Fran
So, yeah, listen, this isn't groundbreaking, but it is something I wanna talk about, that I'm experimenting with something. And this isn't for you, Noah. This is really for our lovely lady listeners here. I'm taking the steps to stop wearing heavy face foundation while filming this podcast. If you've noticed, more and more frequently, maybe if you watch the clips, I've been trying to go for more of a no foundation look. I don't know how it's working. I just feel like I'm trying to embrace my natural skin. Last year, I did it before my wedding, and I was loving how my skin was looking, you know, more. More natural. And then you get. And then you're on camera, the bright lights. I'm like, oh, my God, I got to cover my face with foundation. But when you wake up in the morning, like, I hate the feeling of throwing foundation right on my face right away. So I've been trying to go for more of a natural look where there's no foundation, but, you know, like, a little blush, a little something something, a little concealer. So this is just something I have to get off my chest, that if. If lately you're seeing the clips and going, mm, she needs a little more makeup. I'm trying something new. I am trying out something. Okay. And that wasn't for Noah to respond to. I don't want his teak.
Noah
This is how I felt like when you. When I went shopping with you. It's like, oh, I don't know what to say to that. So.
Fran
No, it's fine.
Noah
Power to you.
Fran
Hey, honey.
Noah
More power. Support it.
Fran
We actually never talked about this on the podcast, but the day of our Boston show, Noah and I were walking around Boston, and I was like, you know what? I gotta stop in Zara. I gotta see if I can find, like, an outfit. I already had an outfit pack. I didn't love it. We go into Zara, and I see this really cute, fun dress. Something that I wouldn't usually wear, but I thought it was cute and fun. And I'm looking at the dress. I say to Noah, like, what do you think? And it's just silence. I'm like, okay, well, this is either the ugliest dress he's ever seen or, you know, he's never been shopping with a woman before.
Noah
I just remember the way you said it. I couldn't tell if you were like, could you imagine if I wore this? Like, I said, like, I would never wear this, but I still was like, I don't know if she is joking or not. So I don't know. I don't want to respond until I
Fran
know what you gave absolutely nothing. And I bought the dress. I did not wear it. I said, you know what?
Noah
Also, I don't know. It's like, for a guy, it's like, if I see a dress hanging on a rack, it's like, I don't know how that looks.
Fran
I don't know how that's gonna look on your body, honey. No, I thought it was cute. Maybe. Maybe I'll wear it, like, in Italy or something. But no was like, no. I have no idea what to say to that. And I was like, okay, well, I got my answer then, because clearly, this isn't a standout dress. If it was a standout dress, I feel like you would be like, that's
Noah
a famous line in the movie Glengarry Glen Ross where he's like, never open your. They're like, all salesmen. He's like, never open your mouth until you know what the shot is. Like, I'm not saying anything until I know what the answer is supposed to be.
Fran
Honestly, fair.
Noah
Because honestly, like, my opinion doesn't matter. Like, no, you just want me to say, yeah, it looks good.
Fran
Yeah. And by the way, it's not even like, I was putting the dress on.
Noah
I should have just said that, to be honest.
Fran
Yeah, but I. I didn't have the dress on. No, I would want honesty. Like, when I shop with Matt, I'm like, do you think.
Noah
But maybe we have diff. Like, maybe, like, something that I like, you wouldn't like.
Fran
So true. There have been times where I've been shopping with Matt, though, and he's like, no, and I appreciate that. Like, I want you to. Not you. But I'm saying, like, I want him to be like, yeah, that looks good. Or, no, that. That's not your best fit. I remember on our honeymoon last year, we were in Spain, and I. And listen, I'm not someone who can pull off shoulder pads. I'm just not. I already got pretty broad shoulders and a blazer with shoulder pads. I start looking like shiv from succession. Like, it's just not my style. And so I brought this blazer with shoulder pads, and I. And I put it on, and I was looking in the mirror. I was like. Like, this is not cute. I took it off, and I'm packing to go back home, and Matt looks at me and goes, yeah, you could leave that one here.
Isabel Klee
I was like, fair.
Fran
Honestly. So fair. It just. You gotta know what works for you. And shoulder pads ain't my thing.
Noah
I don't Understand like shoulder pads in general. Unless you're playing football or a sport. Like, what is like, is having big shoulders like a thing that women want?
Fran
Well, I feel like if you have a tinier frame, you can pull off a cute shoulder pad. Look, depending on the shirt or blazer, there are shoulder pads. I think you're envisioning shoulder pads in a different way. No, no.
Noah
I kinda know what you're meaning. But like I'm not envisioning like huge football pads.
Fran
Yeah, it works on certain people. I'm not one of them. I'm certainly not one of them. So I guess it just.
Noah
It really does wear that or no shoulder pads. You guys were looks maxing.
Fran
I feel like I've seen like Joe Burrow and like a shoulder pad blazer. Yeah, look that up. Let's see if we get that.
Noah
Maybe it's you just like is that. Is that like a football themed party?
Fran
Bring your best shoulder pads.
Noah
Joe Burrow shoulder pads.
Fran
I feel like I've seen like maybe and now saying athlete, of course, all
Noah
the pictures him wearing football gear.
Fran
Yeah. Joe Burrow football shoulder pads is obviously he's in his uniform. Yeah, but no but I feel like that like a guy maybe like a blazer with shoulder. A lot of times it's a. It's a blazer type of situation, you know.
Noah
Yeah. I want to. I want to get some like I want to do some shopping when I'm in London.
Fran
Hell yeah. Like, and you're going to be with your mom and she has great style. So I feel like she can help you out there.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
What do you want to. What do you want to do? You want to change up your look a little bit?
Noah
I kind of was like, I don't know. I've never really experimented with anything like in terms of fashion. I just have my standard look which isn't anything crazy. It's like a T shirt and pants.
Fran
You know what I think you can experiment with in London And I think that this is a good look for guys. And Matt started doing this a little bit. Is sweatshirt blazer on top. That's a cool guy. Like you see that on Abercrombie often.
Noah
But that's not as big. The models are wearing a summer thing. Cause it's like too many layers.
Fran
No, but in lond.
Noah
Oh, in London.
Fran
You know what I mean? Just like walking around, like walking around London. If you hit like a sweatshirt with a blazer and a hat. Cool guy look.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
Come on, let's see you experiment. How would you describe.
Noah
I've done that before. Like a jacket, but like, not a blazer, but like a jacket where it's like. It's kind of similar.
Fran
Like a varsity jacket type thing. Cool jacket, cool jacket, cool jacket. How would you describe your style?
Noah
How would you describe it?
Fran
Laid back.
Noah
Yeah, laid back. Like, I'm not really a big, like, button down guy. Like, I will throw it on if I have to, but when I do, I feel like, forced.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
You don't strike me as, like, when
Noah
we, like in the summer, like, if we go to like a club or something. Like last year we were in the Hamptons. I'm like. I was like, I kind of feel like I have to not wear a T shirt. Even though it's like so many people wear T shirts to clubs. I just was like. But I felt something about. It feels like force to me.
Fran
You're not like a linen button down guy?
Noah
No.
Fran
You don't wear a chain?
Noah
Of course. No.
Fran
And I feel like if you're rocking. I'm not a button down of some sort.
Noah
You need, like, our tribe. I feel like we're not really chain people.
Fran
Matt and Tommy both wear chains.
Noah
My tribe.
Fran
Oh, oh, your tribe. Like your Jewish community.
Noah
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, like a Jewish star, but yeah, you can rock a star. I don't think. I don't think that's ever gonna be in my wheelhouse.
Fran
Okay.
Noah
Gold chain. That's just power to anyone who can pull it off. And there's plenty, like, Marty can do it, but no, I don't think so.
Fran
Tommy wears a suspiciously long chain that goes down to his belly button. And. And we told him many of times to shorten it.
Noah
I was actually trying to be annoying, I feel like, to walk around with.
Fran
I was trying to style Tommy at his desk the other day because he got some new clothes. He's also trying to figure out his new style, I guess. And I was like, listen. He was like. He had like a rugby type shirt on and. Yeah, those are cool. And a hat. And I was like, all right, you gotta throw the hat backwards. We gotta unbutton a little button from the rugby.
Noah
The hat backwards thing is interesting to me though, because it does, like, work, but I also feel like there's a stigma around it. And, like, clubs, a lot of places won't even let you put it backwards,
Fran
that you have to wear it forwards.
Noah
Either have to wear it forwards or
Fran
you can't wear it at all. Yeah.
Noah
But like, do you think that kind of, like, is immature at our age, like, to have a backwards Hat, like, out.
Fran
I don't know. Justin Bieber's rocking it.
Noah
Yeah. If I dress like Justin Bieber, would that be where?
Fran
Like, you know what we should do? Wait. Okay, so since Fran's not here, I feel like when we come back from vacation, you need to come in with, like, a whole new look, and we just don't address it. Yeah. Like, you come in with, like, a burberry trench coat, like, the whole thing, and we just don't address what's going on. It's a whole new style.
Noah
Smoking a cig, like.
Fran
Yeah. Wow. Yeah, that could be fun.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
Right now, barstool spring break is happening for those who are not following here at barstool. Last summer, they did a reality show, barstool beach house, and it was a big hit. And then they brought it back, this time, barstool spring break. And they got a cast of characters. And I gotta be honest, it's been slow. It has been slow. Last night they brought in some big hitters, though. They brought Tommy and Kelly kees in. And if I know my guys, they're gonna do something like, not like Tommy will just do his thing of, like, talking to pretty girls. And will he hook up with them? Will he not? Who knows? And, like, be funny. He's got a great personality. And then in Keegs is not afraid to stir up drama. We know that. So. But. But drama needs to be given to her. That's the thing. Like, it just feels like right now, the environment is just like. And granted, like, they're in Vegas having fun. You know what? You don't want fake drama.
Noah
Who's one of the best characters on that show?
Fran
Dante?
Noah
Well, yeah, I was gonna say Mike. Security Mike.
Fran
Oh, security Mike. So we spend a lot of time with security Mike on our tours because. Because he comes and does security for us. And he is just a star in this show. Him and Ella, like, Ella is my queen. I love her. I can't get enough of her videos. I think she's so funny. She's so herself. I love it. And then her with security Mike is just amazing. Like, because you could just really say anything to security mike and he'll answer your questions and have that banter with you.
Noah
Funny to compare. Like, his workload on this trip to, like, us, where you've joked about it before, but it's like, when we do our live shows, it's like, mostly just, like, he takes us to a restaurant.
Fran
No, it's literally here.
Noah
He's like, literally. They're like, he actually has to be on guard. Like, he's out until, like, 6am he
Fran
literally has to watch them where with us. He's like, all right, where are these bitches eating next? Like, it's literally. And then when he sends other security and not him, he warns them, like, they're probably gonna wanna eat a lot. Like, they're gonna wanna be driven to this restaurant or this place is like, literally just food with us. Meanwhile, he has to worry about, like, everyone getting blackout.
Noah
Having to argue with security to not kick them out. I think it was smelly for jumping into, like, a crowd.
Fran
Well, when I woke up and I saw Kelly, I thought that was Kelly. I thought it was Keegs. I said, wait a second. Keegs is stage diving. My favorite characters are Ella and Dante.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
K's obviously a blast, but I feel like, you know what you're getting with kick at all times. Just, like, fun.
Noah
Dante is at the heart of the show.
Fran
Yeah. Like, Dante for some reason brings it together for me. Even though he didn't. He didn't know what he was signing up for in the first place with Beach House. He thought he was signing up for Survivor and that and then got thrown into, like, a reality show. And now he's back. I think he's so good. And we just need, like, a little bit. We need some drama at the end of the day. Like, if you watch reality TV and, you know, good reality tv. We need some fights. We need some hookups. Like, we need some shit happening. We got the back and forth between Nikki and Annika that's, like, running stale at this point. Like, I'm just like. Like, Nikki's just always, like, poking her. It feels like an annoying little brother who's just always poking, poking, poking, poking. It's like, yo, get a new storyline. Like, I don't know, do something else. Go.
Noah
Yeah, this will come out after they have their show. So we'll see, like, what happens today.
Fran
Right?
Noah
Because they've been sending people home.
Fran
Yeah, they've been sending people home. Deutsch and Rico got sent home fair. It was like, what was Rico going to be doing there anyway? Like, he's married with kids. Like, I don't know.
Noah
Yeah. I've never stayed in Vegas more than, I think two nights. So, like, to me, like, 10 days is insane.
Fran
It's a long time to be there.
Noah
I'm not like a bender guy whatsoever. Like, even if we do, like, a weekend trip, I'm like, after two days, I'm like, wow. Like, I'm dead. So I Don't know how that's. Like, I couldn't last.
Fran
No, you need a lot. You need a lot of stamina to. To get through that week. But it should be interesting. I mean, like, I saw Dave talking about it on Wake Up Barstool, that it's just different vibes. Like, you know, like Tommy and Nikki, they just got way different personalities that, like, the girls are just. They're just way more attracted to Tommy because he's, like, nice and funny. Like, Nikki's just, like, in your face. Like, I don't know. I don't know. It is all. Even when it's slightly boring, I think it's still entertaining. You're watching just like a bunch of drunk people run around, around. But I think people are waiting for some. For some drama to happen. So who knows? Who knows? We're keeping tabs on that. And I think the whole element of, like, sending people home mid show is kind of funny. Like, it's. It's reminding me of something that I can't. That Mary Kate and Ashley movie, the challenge. You won't know what I'm talking about, but the Mary Kate and Ashley movie, the challenge where they, like, it was like a reality show in real time. Wow. It's bringing me back thinking about that movie. It was like the premise of the movie was that they were going to do a reality show and then, like, someone was controlling it in real time. The whole thing. That's kind of like what Dave's doing here. Like, he's controlling. People are getting calls like Annika had, which was. Has been the highlight of the show
Noah
so far,
Fran
that Annika had a major crash out because Dave was like, I'm gonna send you guys home. And she was like, send me home. And was screaming her face off. And it made me laugh because the next day there was a video of Annika drafting up an apology text to Dave. And I was like, they don't even know. Dave does not want an apology. Like, that's actually exactly what Dave wanted. He wanted you to scream your face off at him. Like, he does not want an apology text about that. So we'll see. We'll see what happens. We shall see. I'm hoping that Tommy and Kelly get to stay and that they don't get.
Noah
You know, if they were sent home, like, after being there for, like, 10 hours, that'd be.
Fran
Be brutal.
Noah
Funny.
Fran
Yeah, it would be funny, but it would be. It would be brutal. So we'll see what happens. We're going to get into today's topics we're going to talk about Coachella weekend to Alex. Earl has posted on Tik Tok and Instagram. We got Kyle Cook out with Meghan King of Real Housewives of Orange County. We got Amanda and Wes at a Yankee game. Sierra Miller's Glamour interview. Zane apparently allegedly punched Louis Thomason in the face on their road trip. Dylan Sprouse stopped an intruder in his home. And Travis Barker is posting toe sucking pictures. And we have a great interview with Isabel Klee. We got the weekly watch report. So let's get into it. This tour was so fun and we especially loved having our little Rum Haven cocktails before the show. Mid show, seeing everyone in the crowd drinking it because Rumhaven is exactly what you want. You want that delicious flavor on while it being real because the world, it's too loud, it's too filtered, it's too fake right now. But not here, not with us and especially not with Rumhaven. Rumhaven is where the noise fades and the real comes out. Where you can unbutton those expectations and sip on what's true and what is natural. One taste of pure cane sugar and real coconut water lets you feel the difference. It's what real tastes like and it brings you back to that feeling and that place where you know you belong. And it's all an oasis of authenticity. So open up a bottle, lose the small talk and find the good vibes because the best moments aren't fake. They're simply real. With Rom Haven made for real Coachella Weekend two happened and honestly it seemed like weekend two seemed to be the big winners. And I wonder if the artists did this on purpose that they plan to have a bigger weekend too than weekend one because they know weekend one is just filled a bunch of influencers and influencer houses at this point. But we'll start off with Sabrina Carpenter. That was Friday night. Sabrina brought out Madonna and that is fucking huge. They did Vogue, they did Like a Prayer. Madonna did a new song. Once again. There are videos from the crowd that people post and they're like, look at the people around me not so singing along or those people where I'm like,
Noah
you're also filming, right?
Fran
And it's like you're filming but you're just, you're filming other people so you're not even like, just focus on, just focus on the show. At this point we know that there's going to be some stickler, boring people in the crowd that don't. That they're never happy, they never get what they want. Some spoiled rich kids at Coachella. But there are people there that go to Coachella for the love of the game. They're camping out and they're hyped to see Madonna. Amazing. Sabrina crushed it once again. She did some outfit changes, and then, like, the Juno pose this time was like, have you ever tried this one? And it was. It was Madonna coming out and that. It was just amazing. It's iconic. I love when icons like Madonna show appreciation to, like, the newer class of pop stars. Right. Because you can be a stick in the mud about it and be like, these new young pop stars are not as good as me. Or you could embrace it because you also have new music coming out and be like this and, like, come out with them. And I feel like Madonna did that, which was so fun.
Noah
She had Terry Crews pop out this time instead of Will Ferrell.
Fran
Yeah. I feel like she once again had more actors involved. I mean, she. She was an actress, is an actress, Rena. So it's nice to show a little bit of both.
Noah
It was funny because I saw a video. I feel like it was Terry Crews daughter. I'm not. I'm not even sure if he has a daughter, but the way that they were talking where, like, it seemed like they were probably a fan of Sabrina Carpenter and he probably didn't know, like, too much about her. But they're like. Is like, Sabrina asked you to be part of it. Blah, blah.
Fran
Yeah. So that's always funny, like, when people's kids are just big fans and they do it for them. But I thought this was. This was great. On top of that, Addison Rae brought out Olivia Rodrigo. Now here's the thing. She brings out Olivia Rodrigo. Olivia Rodrigo new song, Drop Dead. So good music video at the.
Noah
Yeah. What do you think about that song?
Fran
I like it. I think it's very different. Very different. I do see some tones of Lana Del Rey in there. I don't know if that's. If I misinterpret that, but there was a little bit in there that I picked up on. I thought it was a great preview to what this album is going to be. I love Olivia Rodrigo's songwriting. I think she's an incredible songwriter. And even when the lyrics feel, like, blunt, you know what I mean? Like, they're kind of, like, short and quick, but they flow really well. I think she's fantastic. But she came out with Addison Rae. There was some discussion about whether I don't think Addison Rae is big enough for Madonna to come out with Addison Rae, but the discussion of switching the two of Olivia Rodrigo came out with Sabrina Carpenter and Madonna comes out with Addison Rae. Because Addison Rae's got that, like, funky vibe going right now. That gives a little bit Madonna that. It was an interesting discussion point because obviously the bigger story would be Olivia Rodrigo coming out with Sabrina Carpenter to perform herself.
Noah
Yeah, that would be crazy.
Fran
That would have been insane. I think people thought that was going to happen with her new song and music video coming out. That would have been insane.
Noah
I do. I did think when I saw Olivia Rodrigo, because I guess I can. Addison Rae are friends in real life, but I was like, damn, she's kind of like, too big to be brought out. Addison Rae's like midday.
Fran
Right. But there are. They're friends and, you know, it works like that. But Madonna would also be. I think, too.
Noah
Madonna can't be brought out in the sun.
Fran
No.
Isabel Klee
She's like.
Noah
I heard culling. It's just like, you can't. Those people. You got to be brought out at night.
Fran
No. Madonna's literally a vampire. Like, if you see her in the sun, something's wrong. That's just uncomfortable. But no, I thought this was so fun. So good. Then you move to the second night. Justin Bieber, my God, did he fucking crush weekend to. I think from what I can tell from what I watched, he seemed so comfortable on that stage. He seemed comfortable weekend one, but I feel like in a way that can't be topped by weekend to like, he was in the mix with the crowd, letting. Letting girls grab onto him. A girl grabbed him. He grabbed her closer like he was in it. I will say people draw the fucking line, though. They always. There's always one or two bitches that will draw. That will cross a line and try and grab his fucking leg and, you know, whatever else. And you cross a line and you give a little. People want the whole fucking ruler.
Noah
That's why those artists stop doing that. It's because there's weirdos, right?
Fran
And Bieber is one of those people that had his boundaries crossed probably more times than we even know about. And then he gives a little inch and people want the whole foot long. Like, it's like, Jesus Christ, get your hands off him. It's crazy.
Noah
Is that a subway reference?
Fran
Yeah.
Noah
I've never heard it used like that.
Fran
It just came out, you know, grabbing him and him grabbing, like, reaching their hand down and he grabs their hand closer. Fine. He clearly liked that. When you see someone grab lower, you don't go lower than the chest, babe. Come on. Come on.
Noah
Yeah. I wouldn't even like I feel like you.
Fran
I wouldn't even grab at all. But like, yeah, it's crazy. It's absolutely nuts. Although he seemed to really enjoy his time and my God, banger after banger.
Noah
I do think like that whole section where he's playing the laptop. I was kind of like skeptical about it last week a little bit. I didn't want to say anything because people were like up in arms about anyone who said that. But I do feel like this week seemed a lot like, he seemed a lot more comfortable. He was like, he would get up and like actually like sing it. Whereas last week he kind of was sitting down like less so energetic about it. So. And I don't know this, this week did seem a lot better overall.
Fran
He seemed more comfortable overall. And like you said, he was singing a lot more of the songs. He did One Last Only Girl and brought up Billie Eilish. I never said this on the podcast, but if you're at the Minneapolis show, I did make this prediction that he would have Billie Eilish as the one less only girl. And the only people that can attest to that is if you were in the crowd at the Minneapolis show. Haley pushed her up there. Billy's reaction was so amazing because it was like any true Bieber fan.
Noah
Cause he hasn't done this in what.
Fran
He hasn't done it since his wedding.
Noah
But like. And add like a, like with a fan.
Fran
Yeah, with a fan. Like it's been, I don't even know how long. She could not even walk. She. That's what's crazy is like she couldn't even walk and she's Billie Eilish. Like in that moment she forgets how famous she is and reverts back to that 10 year old girl who was obsessed with Justin Bieber. And it's actually so healing to her, to everybody watching her mom posted and said, you know what we do for our kids? They become obsessed with artists and you do everything you can, but there's only so much you can do. You buy them a ticket to a show. We couldn't even afford a ticket to his concert. So in our case we buy a ticket to the movie of his concert, you buy their record and that's as much as you can do as a parent to a kid who's obsessed with an artist. And then to reach this level where that artist gives your kid so much time and being able to like be that person for Billy, because Justin clearly, I think growing up probably needed somebody like Billie, who became massively famous at a young Age as well. It. It's so special. And seeing her reaction, I feel like did justice to any other fan that would have wanted went up there because,
Noah
yeah, I feel like a random. Like, yeah, we're like, no, she deserves this. Because a lot of times I think if you bring up a famous person, they'd be like, oh, come on. Like, they don't even care that much.
Fran
Right, Exactly. And the believers were like, no, no, she did. Did you see what we would have done?
Noah
The video that Phineas's wife Claudia posted? Like, where she clearly, like, didn't know.
Ria
You should know.
Fran
And Haley was like, oh. Which is amazing. Haley seems like it's just such a supportive wife, and we've seen their ups and downs and we've made our comments, but right now things seem great, and it seems very supportive, but so cool to have Billy up there. And then he brought out Big Sean. Yeah, I love Big Sean.
Noah
I love Big Sean, too.
Fran
I love Big Sean's music. It flies really under the radar. Some of my favorite rap songs are from Big Sean. Honestly, what happened to him?
Noah
Like, where's he been?
Fran
I don't know. I don't know. He's up there. But he had some really nice words to Justin where he basically said, like, you've given us your all, and I've seen you through basically the bad times and the good times, and you have God watching over you. And that was a really special moment for, I think, for Justin to hear, number one. Most importantly for him to hear that, like, other huge artists recognize what he's been through from such a young age. And then also, just as an audience and fans of Bieber, to be like, oh, I, another huge artist, knows shit that happened behind the scenes, because I'm. There are a ton of stuff that we'll never know, which is 100% fair. Hailey Bieber even made that her caption last week, being like, people don't even know, like, what. What it has taken to get to this point, which is so fair. And then for Big Sean to get up there and say that, so fun. He brought out Dijon, he brought out Sza, he brought out Sexy Red. Like, weekend two was packed. And weekend one travelers were.
Noah
I think the weekend one, though, you had that, like, shock factor as a fan where, like, you didn't know what he was gonna do. This is his first time back, and that's special in that way. But this weekend, yeah, he's loose.
Fran
He's loose. And I feel like you do it. You do it for the true fans of Weekend two that they sound.
Noah
His voice is insane.
Fran
He.
Noah
Because I didn't really watch that much last week, I saw like more clips this time. Like, and even if it's new stuff that I don't know, I'm like, damn,
Fran
he is so good. He has preserved his talent though, you know what I mean? Even though going through it, he sounds just as good, if not better. You can tell he really works at it. And he seemed so happy. And there are clips of him getting off stage and it's like in that moment Justin Bieber remembered who he was. He gets off stage, beating his chest, doing air guitar, hugging his friends. He's like, I'm fucking Justin Bieber. He did hit the crowd with a see all soon.
Noah
People think he's going to announce like a big tour.
Fran
And then on his website it was like sign up for tour updates. So I don't know, maybe he'll do
Noah
like his like header on Ticket Master.
Fran
Maybe he'll do some like mini residencies or something of the sort.
Noah
I saw people's expectations are high.
Fran
They are. I saw super bowl predictions that I
Noah
mean he, he'd be the next. I mean him or Miley, like for Super Bowl.
Fran
Super bowl would be great. But here's the thing. You gotta do something for the fans that can afford like not every fan, most fans actually most people in the world cannot afford to go to the Super Bowl.
Noah
Well, yeah, but that I feel like if you're doing the super bowl, you're doing a. For like tv.
Fran
Exactly. Or Coachella. Right. Like I feel like he's gonna do something for the, for the fans that can actually get to a show because he did those private shows that people got invited to. But then you're opening it back up to a place where it's gonna be
Noah
Harry Styles, where every ticket still. If he went on a stadium tour, it would still be like really expensive.
Fran
I can't see him doing not stadium something that large. I see him doing smaller residency, maybe a Vegas thing. But still you gotta make people travel. So it's a, it's a sticky, it's a sticky situation. Cause we saw what happened with the reaction to Harry was that making a lot of people travel and pay money and it's like a whole trip at that point. So I don't know, I don't know. We'll see. But clearly they are teasing something. And then Sunday night, Carol G wrapped it up. She announced the tour, which is big. She brought out Pluma, Becky G J Balvin, Ryan Castro. Huge night.
Isabel Klee
Her
Fran
like her stage presence is so unbelievable, and. And her outfits and costume design and the whole thing is so incredible. It's so fun. And it was the perfect way to close out Coachella weekend, too. I think that this Coachella was just a massive, massive hit because there are certain years where Coachella kind of, like, falls off, but this year, I feel like there was just an energy that, like, brought it back around that I see people already booking their accommodations for next year.
Noah
I'm like, honey, who's going to be headlining?
Fran
Honeys, your shit's gonna get canceled next year. Okay. Because they canceled on people last minute this year.
Noah
Yeah. If you had to predict, like, three headliners for next year. Ooh. Because you, like, kind of.
Fran
Maybe Tate McCray.
Noah
Did Olivia Rodrigo headline Coachella or.
Fran
No, I. I feel like she did.
Noah
I don't think she did. I mean, I don't.
Fran
Maybe not, but if she has, I could see her headlining for sure. But I do feel. I feel like she. Oh, she came out for no Doubt set, so she's been surprise appearances both times for no doubt in 2024 and then Addison Rae in 2026. I could see Olivia Rodrigo being a headliner.
Noah
I don't think Tay McCrae's, like, at that point yet, like, in terms of just, like, catalog.
Isabel Klee
Yeah.
Fran
I feel like she'd be, like, a second to, like, a somber. You know, like, one before.
Noah
Seems kind of like early.
Fran
Somber's huge, though.
Noah
He is huge.
Fran
But, yeah, that was. That was Coachella weekend, too. And I think that this weekend was all about the vibes.
Noah
Just great vibes weekend, too. Seems like, like, even before all this, I was like, what? Which weekend are the influencers not going? Because that's the one.
Fran
That's the one I want to be part of. Yeah, it's like.
Ria
It's just.
Fran
It's a lot, you know, I. I
Noah
mean, it feels like everyone's talking. There's a lot more discussion about, like, the actual music this weekend compared to the first weekend where it's just, like, influencers. Not. That's all you're seeing.
Fran
It's just like, who's in what house? And even though this is part of our job and, you know, I. I see us more as podcasters than, like, social media influencers. Like, the constant having to film and, like, TikToks, and, like, not being in the moment is. Is too much for me. Like, I. I'm just. I'm just not into that vibe, you know? Like, I love making a funny video once in a while on Instagram. And Tick Tock, obviously, but the, the constant doing the outfits and then this and then that and then this and then that. And it's all for Instagram and it's all for Tick Tock. It's like, ah, it's a lot. It is, it is a lot. So I feel like just going for the vibes is, is where it's at. Speaking of Tick Tock, Instagram, the whole thing. No major update for the Alex Cooper, Alex Earl drama. Alex Earl posted a video of her doing pole dance lesson lessons. And caption was. Sorry, been busy filming this week. I don't think she's on it as asap as we maybe thought. I think that.
Noah
I don't think she's on it.
Fran
I don't think she's on it. Grutman, David Grutman, who's like a big, I don't even know how to describe him. Like Miami guy who's like a producer and restaurants and investor.
Noah
What's it like? Nightlife?
Fran
Yeah, like a nightlife guy. He is a producer of the Earl's new Netflix show and he was doing an interview and he said like, God bless Alex Cooper for making that video because now we can like talk about it on our show. I feel like we're not going to get anything until this Netflix show, which I'm kind of like, all right, you know, like maybe we as an audience hype this whole thing up more than like what it, what it was supposed to be or like we.
Noah
I mean, it's hard to not hype it.
Fran
It's not. It's hard when Alex Cooper's making a video directly calling you out and then like, there's nothing. And you're kind of just like, wait, we're gonna get, we're not even gonna get like a sit down vanity video of you explaining what happened. Like, I, I don't know. I mean, it's her life. I guess she could do whatever she wants if she feels like this is the way. Because I do point. She's not gonna. She's gotta make sure everything's are in. Everything's in line. Like putting together a sloppy.
Noah
But think about response going back to like, if this was in rap terms. Yeah, you call if you've been like subliminal shots, blah, blah, blah. And then someone just releases a whole song being like, going at you, being like, all right, let's. Let's hear your side. And then you just like, imagine if Kendrick just after Drake put out Push ups, just didn't put anything out. Everyone would be like, that's such a lame move.
Fran
Yeah, I mean, I, I would not be able to wait this long. I would be like bubbling like, oh my God, I have to tell everybody what it is or else everyone's gonna make all these assumptions and da, da, da. She is clearly okay with the people, I guess now that she's in this world, like people making the assumptions and talking about it and it generates conversation and more people will tune into the Netflix show and you have that aspect of it which then is. Then just becomes like PR for the Netflix show. And I think you lose people with that a little bit when it becomes PR for a show rather than just like giving us the TikTok and Instagram straight up. I like to know your, your guys thoughts. Maddie and Sarah, like, what do you like, as you know, two ladies who love going on the Internet. What do you guys think about her not posting like a TikTok response? Seems like she's guilty of something. Ooh. Sarah said she seems like she's guilty of something. I mean, it's, it's just interesting. I.
Noah
Or yeah, it's just not as hard. There's nothing hard hitting.
Fran
Like, she just knows people are gonna wait in like, care no matter when she says. Right. Maddie says that she thinks people are just gonna care no matter what. When she said. Which is true. Because right now we're like, she has the Internet. We're like, where is it? Where is it? Everyone's seemingly on her side without knowing, like the exactly what happened.
Noah
I have.
Fran
Which is always an interesting thing for me. It's like when people just like team up on somebody without knowing like, what exactly. I'm like, all right, well, we, like we said last week, I'm like, oh, I want to know before I say this person's right, this person's wrong. You can like someone more, be a fan of someone more. It seems like that might be the case with Alex Earl, but when it comes down to this issue that they have, it's like, we need to know the facts of what happened.
Noah
Yeah. Yeah. I think the more time that passes, the more I'm seeing on the Internet of people being like, oh, like, kind of not saying like, they're team Alex Cooper, but more people like being open to, like, well, we don't actually know what happened. And like, the more time that passes, I think it's like, oh, maybe it's not so one sided.
Fran
Yeah, maybe it's not as even big as we all maybe thought it was. But yeah, that's the update on that. We Got a little summer house update going on. Kyle Cook was seen making out with Megan King from Real Housewives of Orange Cat county on the streets of New York, basically on his tippy toes. I. I'm gonna upset some people with this. I don't know the lore so much of Meghan King. Friend and I both don't watch Orange County. So everyone was freaking out about this. And unfortunately, I don't. I don't understand why, but it seems like this is, like, a humongous deal in people's eyes. Like, people were like, you could have given me a million guesses of who Kyle Cook was gonna be seen out with. It would never be her. So that was funny. People were talking about the aspect of him, like, holding her shoulders on the street, on the sidewalk. I don't know what was going on there. I mean, hey, what's the big deal if she's a little bit taller? You know what I mean? Like Zendaya and Tom Holland. It is what it is.
Noah
Yeah. Hey, like, power to you.
Fran
Yeah. Like, oh, we're gonna shame someone for being taller. I don't know how tall you think Kyle Cook is. Kyle Cook is a small guy. He's a. He's a small guy.
Noah
Kyle Cook. Height, not something that's, like, readily. It says 5 11.
Fran
No. No way. I've been in. I've been. We've been in person with Kyle. He is not five' eleven.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
But here's my thing. I have. I have the wrong perception about people's height sometimes, because sometimes I will be in a situation where I will think I'm as tall as somebody or taller, and then Fran will have to humble me and be like, no, you're actually shorter. And I don't know how you think you're taller right now. You're shorter. I'm like, oh, I just feel taller. And then I, like, I'm humbled, and I'm like, oh, wait, actually, I'm not that height. So I don't know. I could have the wrong perception where I think I'm looking, eye contact to Kyle Cook, but he's actually a lot taller.
Noah
That's like, when I thought Marty was, like, the same height as me.
Fran
Yeah, exactly. You know, sometimes when you're shorter, you just, like, feel like, ah, I'm even. And then you. And then you find out you're not.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran

Amanda and west, we're at the Yankee game together now. We're watching the Yankee game, Matt and I. I got my head down looking at my phone. He stands up like that Leo. Like the Leo meme when Leo points at himself. And once upon a time, Matt stands up, he's like, oh, it's them, it's them. And I'm like, what are you talking about? And I picked my head up. He's like, it was them. And I'm like, them who? He's like, west. West. And I was like, wait, what? Rewind, rewind. We rewind it. They had the camera on them for like a solid 64 seconds. Like it was multiple times, multiple times. It was not just like a quick pan to the crowd. There's them. Like at one point, somebody's up at bat. We're just watching Amanda and West. Like we. I don't even know what happened in the game. I got no idea. I think they won. I don't remember. All I know is that they were the cameras up on them. Got a little smooch action. People at the game were filming them. They went to Billy's. These two can't stop going to the most crowded, over populated bars that they can find. Even in the Bronx. They're going to the most popular bar that they can find. Billy's Billy's outside of Yankee Stadium. Here's my thing. Sorry, I'm sitting up. Here's my thing. Said this last week, too. You're allowed to leave your house, right? Like, it's. They didn't murder somebody. Did they do something that we all think is messy and fucked up? Yes. But it's like, we. You can't treat these people like they can't live their lives ever again. That's just not realistic. But I think people are just confused. When Amanda was somebody who was adamant that Kyle was partying too much and that's not the life she wanted to live. And we would even see her stay home a lot of nights. Now, maybe she just didn't want to be out with Kyle. Like, maybe. Maybe she didn't like going out with Kyle. But now it seems like these. West can't stay home either. Like, they are at a bar every single day. They like it. It's just not. It's not adding up in people's brains.
Noah
They're also not, like, being chill at the Inking game, like, where it's like, they're sitting down. It's Wes standing up, like, chanting.
Fran
And by the way, it's an April game, bro. Like, you got 150 games left in the first season. No, it's.
Noah
It's hard to not think that he's begging to be seen.
Fran
Yes. Like, I think that Wes loves the attention. I do. I think he is eating up the attention because otherwise it was the same
Noah
day, by the way, that Ciara did that whole.
Fran
Yes, and. Oh, thank you. Sierra did a wonderful interview with Glamour magazine. She said that she wanted to do things on her terms to talk about this. She wanted to maybe, you know, not do a podcast or a TikTok or whatever. So she sat down with Glamour and did a wonderful, wonderful interview with stunning, stunning pictures. I mean, she is just drop dead. And I know Noah. Like, I remember anytime Ciara has stepped into this office, Noah's been like, holy fuck. Like. And it goes so much more beyond that because, yes, everyone talks about Ciara's looks, right, because she is so beautiful, but she is really a wonderful and beautiful person on the inside as well. And. And she gave so much insight to how she was feeling about the whole thing and talked about how, you know, she had a 30th birthday party and west went and Amanda was invited, but she didn't go. And she said that she didn't fault Amanda for that because Amanda is the type of person that wants to be invited to something, but not actually go. But as someone, here's the thing. As someone who could relate to something like that, and I think we can all relate to something like that. Where it's like when you are invited to something and you don't want to, but you don't want to go, that's like a big party, that's a big night out. That's whatever it is. That's not an, that's not an intimate birthday party or friend. That's something you do go to. Like you don't get an invite to your friend's intimate birthday dinner and not go just because you haven't. You don't want to. Like that to me is insane.
Noah
And that'd be like, I don't wanna go to your wedding. Like I don't feel like going out.
Fran
It's like it's not the same thing. Like it's to me that's selfish. Like there are times where you need to put what you're feeling aside and selfish needs and say, okay, I need to show up to my friend's intimate small dinner tonight, even though I really would like to stay in bed. Side of that, you're going to a party at fucking Surf Lodge in the Hamptons. It's a whole big thing. Different story. I, I just, I, that didn't sit right with me and you know, Ciara was nice enough to show her grace for that but I, that that one didn't sit right with me because the way that it was explained was that it was like a small intimate dinner. Wes did go though, but he, she did say at the time she feels like she was closer to Amanda than West. I think we will hear a lot
Noah
more
Fran
at the reunion. She did open up about being a black cast member on Summer House, how she could be painted as like angry or scary and she's like, why am I these things? But the other white cast members can yell and scream their face off and they're not deemed as, as scary. And I think that opens up a great conversation to be had and we've seen it on Summer House this season. So I thought that this, this Glamour interview was really great for Ciara. Stunning, beautiful pictures. And just for this to be happening the same night as that, for Amanda and West to be out when this article, it's just like having a little bit of self awareness which I don't know if they have that you're like, you can do things in the city or in life that you won't be seen. Like they are just going to the most popular did you see that?
Noah
Some fan said that, like at the game, she like went up to Amanda asking. It was like weird. It was like asking her to like, follow her. Like, and then she said that she doesn't have Instagram on her phone anymore.
Fran
Yeah, they said she apparently told someone she doesn't have the Instagram map. Somebody apparently also asked what's going on between her and Wes. And she said, it's only been a month and a half. We're still figuring it out. Someone also said that she said to somebody, like, how can you not like him? Look at him. How can you not like him? About West, I'm just like picturing this all going down. You know, they're posing with pictures with fans and I mean, that shit happens. Like, people are gonna go up to them and want to take pictures and act all nicey nice and then get online and be like, talk shit about them. But it's like you went up to them and asked for a photograph, smiling ear to ear. But then you post the picture online, talking shit. It's like, okay. You know, to me that doesn't add up when someone like, is cheesing with someone and then goes online to be like, look at this picture I got with them.
Noah
Da da da.
Fran
But man, they just, they just don't want to stay inside. And it's just shocking from someone who loved staying inside. Amanda. Wes, clearly he doesn't seem like the type to me that can just like have a chill day on the couch on like a Saturday. Like, to me, he seems like someone who's like, we gotta get out there, it's Saturday, we gotta do something. Like, why don't we just sit and watch some movies on the couch and I don't know, not drink. Maybe one week. I don't know. I don't know. Shit.
Noah
When is that reunion airing? Do we know?
Fran
It's not gonna air till May, but I do believe it. Films this week. Wow. So interesting that like, I don't know if you hit the fucking Yankees game and then Billy's after right before the reunion. I just don't know if you do that. Yeah, like, you couldn't just keep it, like you just couldn't keep it low key for like two weeks before the reunion. No one's asking.
Noah
Yeah, you're giving them more ammo and here, right?
Fran
And like at this point they're clearly gonna try to see if this relationship works. Okay, obviously they're gonna do that. But I'm just, I'm confused about the method because you could go to a nice intimate cocktail bar on the Upper west side. Upper east side. You could maybe go to the suburbs of Jersey. Could even have Brooklyn. Go to a small little, you know, place, maybe hit a speakeasy. You can go to a lot of quiet, low key places in the city. There's a million. It's fucking huge. You can find a million places to go. We gonna go to Billy's in the Bronx after the Yankee game. I don't know. I don't know. Wow. Moving on. Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were apparently filming like a road trip, road trip reunion esque thing for Netflix, which has now come to an end because apparently allegedly Zayn punched Louis in the face. And now we just. These guys can't hang out. These guys can't be around. And I gotta be honest, from what we've heard about Zayn, he's got some anger issues.
Noah
No, sounds like it just rumors.
Fran
It seems like Zane's got to get like, got to get these things in check. No, I know. We're going up based off rumors, right? Wasn't there that story with Yolanda? Yeah, I don't know, man. You can't be punching Louis Tomlinson in the face while you're trying to have a nice road trip reunion for One Direction. Can they air that? Hey, we went on a road trip and ended.
Noah
That would get great views, right?
Fran
If this was early 2000s, it would be put out.
Noah
Hey, I mean, who knows what Louie said to provoke that? I. I don't know.
Fran
Talking about his mom with cancer. What? I was like, zayn made a joke about Lou's mom who died of cancer. Zayn made a joke. Okay, so Maddie is reporting that Zayn made a joke about Lou's mom who died of cancer. And then Zayn punched Lou in the face. Oh, Louie took a step at him. Yes. Louie, like, went to go take a step at him after make his mom made a joke about his. I mean, Zayn, what the fuck is wrong with you? And then Zayn punched him in the face. So that's double bad on Zayn. Double bad. Because if you say something about. I think you have every right to make like a little step towards somebody if they make a joke about your mom who died with cancer. Like, you have a lot.
Noah
Why are you joking about that? No, like in what context?
Fran
That's what I'm saying. Like, number one, you don't joke about that asshole. And number two, I don't blame Louie for taking low at him. Little step, a little. I'm a scare. You for don't talk about my mom like that. And then Zayn punches him in the face.
Noah
That is, like, ridiculous. Imagine, like, you see Louis afterwards, like he's bleeding. It's like, what happened? Like, Zayn made fun of my mom who died with cancer. And it's like, you're the one, and then you're.
Fran
And then he punched you. That doesn't add up. Because if. If you said that Zayn made a joke about Louis mom dying of cancer and then Louis punched him, I'd say fair. Fair shot. But
Noah
allegedly, allegedly.
Fran
But this, like, Zane just kind of seems like an. To me, like, more and more stories that come out. I'm like, dude, what's funny? I don't know. Is that British humor? Do they joke about people's parents dying of cancer? I don't know. I feel like that's probably not. I feel like probably not. I feel like they say the word, but I think they, like. Yeah, I think all cultures, that's like, off limits. I don't know in Britain if they do that.
Noah
Yeah. You know what? Next week when I'm in London, I'm just gonna go up to beach, start
Fran
joking about, yeah, well, you're gonna come back punched in the face. That'll be your new style. Black eye. That won't. That won't bode well.
Noah
You can do it. I can't.
Fran
That will not bode well for you. It doesn't bode well for anybody. You can't talk about people's parents like that. Dead parents. It just is a no fly zone. Yeah, no fly zone.
Noah
I don't blame Harry for, like, seemingly stepping on stepping away a little bit.
Fran
No, me and Harry have plans in Rome because we don't want to deal with these guys.
Noah
Oh, Rome. Oh, yeah. I was like.
Fran
I keep telling Matt, I'm like, I think we're going to run into Harry and Rome. He's like, hey, I love where your mind's at. You know, when you just, like, start to believe it.
Noah
You know what would happen? Marty would just, like, end up, like, talking to Harry for like, 20 minutes
Fran
and, like, becoming friends with him 1,000%. I could see a world where Harry hears Matt open up his voice one time, and Harry's like, man, I gotta hang out with this. Because that is what happens. Like, he make Matt makes friends so easily. And a lot of times we chalk it up to, like, people just being fascinated by his accent. Cause he just has, like, a stronger Long island accent. It's like sometimes I'm like, okay, you don't make too many friends. Cause, you know, I'm like. I'm like, that freaks and geeks me. Like, I got two friends. I'm good. You know, like, it's all good. Like, we walk in to the bagel store in Jersey City or the deli in Jersey City. Like, everybody's going, oh, why don't you come back here and use the coffee machine you want to use? We walk into the bagel place. The owner of the bagel place is offering Matt to use the coffee machine himself. You can come back here and make a cup of coffee. I'm looking at him like, nobody gives a shit about me in this town. Nobody cares a damn rot's ass about me in this town. What the hell? We going to the deli? Who's your pick tonight? Who you picking tonight, man? I'm like, they don't. Do they care about my picks?
Noah
You know, you would think they'd at least ask you about, like, Alex versus Alex, right?
Fran
least ask me about the drama that's going on the Internet. Come on. No, he's like the mayor of Jersey City. I love it. One time he turned to me after we left the bagel place after. It was like a big hurrah. Like, the guy was like, use the coffee machine. Da, da, da. He's like, when I'm real old, I'm gonna be a bagel shop guy every morning.
Noah
Oh, yeah, I'm gonna be in the
Fran
bagel shop, reading my paper, cup of coffee, said, hopefully I'll be there with you. Hopefully it's me and you. 80 years old in the bagel place.
Noah
Now you just wake up, he's not there, and you're just like, I know where he is.
Fran
He's.
Noah
He's in the bagel shop.
Fran
He's at the bagel shop. Having said, some egg salad. That's like an old man thing. Some egg salad, yeah. So funny. While we're on the topic, though, of, like, I guess, self protection, if we're talking Zane and whatnot, Dylan Sprouse, king hero, saved him and his wife from an intruder breaking into their home. Well, the headline was, like, sort of misleading. I feel like people. I feel like some headlines wanted to make Dylan Sprouse seem like the bad guy in the situation, when really he was the good guy. Because they were like, dylan Sprouse holds guy at gunpoint. He's like, wait, what? And then you read the article. It's like, oh, an intruder came into their house, tried to rob them, and Dylan Sprouse held him down with a gun. Tackled him and tackled him down and held him at gunpoint until the police showed up. It's like, well, really, Dylan saved the day here, right? Like, I mean, he saved him and his wife, and, you know, they got
Noah
to do, like, a Zach and Cody sequel. And just, like, he's holding people at gunpoint.
Fran
We knew this would be Zach.
Noah
Oh, yeah. Cody's not holding anyone at Company.
Fran
No, no. Cody was not built for this. This was Zach's moment. But that was a whole big thing. But when I first saw the headlines, I'm like, dylan Sprouse held somebody at gunpoint. What the fuck? It was just worded wild. But then when you read what happened, like, an intruder came into his home, which is so scary because that does happen often. I mean, we saw with Rihanna recently, there was, like, a shooter outside of her home. And so. So unbelievably scary.
Noah
It's all those, like, I see videos, you know, they do this, like, LA Hollywood tours, and it's just. It's just strange. Like, I saw a video the other day, I think. I don't know if it was Keanu Reeves. It was some famous actor, like, literally, like, getting out of his car to walk into his house, and there's, like, a Hollywood bus, and they're all, like, waving to him like. Like, he's a zoo animal.
Fran
It's so crazy.
Noah
It's kind of just like everyone knows where you live.
Fran
Like, yeah, it is definitely very unsafe. But thankfully, they were okay.
Noah
Yeah. Hey, no one's gonna. With Dylan Sprouse.
Fran
No, no, no. My God. How about that? Yeah, that was wild. And then lastly, this is just classic. Travis Barker posted a roundup for Kourtney Kardashian's birthday. One of the pictures, she was sucking her toe. He was sucking her toe. Imagine she was sucking her own toe in a picture, because I accidentally just said that Travis was sucking Courtney's toe. Now, listen, is that just a photo
Noah
op, or is he, like, doing that on the. On the regular?
Fran
I think that some people do that on the regular. Not I. I am not. Here's the thing. I'm not someone who has a foot fetish or likes foot things, but I'm also not disgusted by feet. Like, you know, there are people who are specifically disgusted. Disgusted by feet. Like, my sister cannot even deal with, like, feet being around her in any capacity.
Noah
I'm not disgusted by feet. I'm just like, your feet are sweaty. You're walking around all day.
Fran
I'm not necessarily disgusted by feet, but I Don't do foot things. And I. Breaking breaking news. I don't do foot things, and I'm not looking to do foot things, but there are people who genuinely enjoy getting their toes sucked or sucking people's toes.
Noah
I'm too ticklish for that.
Fran
Felt heard. I hear you. I'm also very ticklish on my feet. Here's the thing. It's just, like, we don't care, and we don't need to see it, you know, like, you guys are married. Yeah.
Noah
Like, what are your kids thinking about?
Fran
And you guys are, like, a sexy couple, and I love that. Sexy couple who's in love. I prefer, like. Like, I don't want it. Like, I don't think people are dying to see that. You know what I'm saying? It's. It's more just like, it's not even. Like, I even care seeing it, because
Noah
I really have four. That's right.
Ria
That's what it is.
Noah
Because we know you do. Freaky.
Fran
Yeah. Like, I don't even care seeing it. Like, it doesn't phase me. But I understand people questioning, like, why add this one to the bunch? Why must we see this one? This is, like, a thing between you guys. Can we keep this between you guys? You know, it goes back to, like, we know too much about people, and
Noah
I feel like they've. I don't know, maybe I'm just not on that side of the Internet. But, like, they've been quiet now.
Fran
They've been quiet now. This is toe sucking.
Noah
Been up to.
Fran
Yeah. Getting her toe sucked.
Noah
Honestly, her and Kim kind of like. I mean, Kim spotted out with, like, Lewis Hamilton a lot now, but, like, I feel like. Because that show isn't happening or is it happening. I don't even know.
Fran
They're a reality show. They're always filming. I think that they've kind of learned to not put everything in the headline so much because then people weren't tuning into the show. But now when we tune into the show, we, like, learn a little bit more.
Noah
Imagine if they did a show in the style of, like, barstool spring breakouts, where it's, like, just as it's happening. That'd be pretty sick.
Fran
Wild. More people should do that. It is a good idea.
Noah
I mean, now it is like, with Twitch streaming.
Fran
It does suck, though, that there's, like, a cap on posting, because a lot of people, like, I don't have the Twitter app or anything. Like, I have not been on Twitter in over a year. I follow everything on TikTok and Instagram. I've missed so many videos now because TikTok put them on, like, a cool down on Instagram where they, like, can't post, but they can post a million times on Twitter. So it does suck for the people who don't have Twitter because a lot of people don't now that, like, can't keep up, which is. Which is very annoying because, like, the. I think the demographic they're looking for to watch this is not on Twitter necessarily, you know?
Noah
Yeah, I don't know. The Barcelona audience is pretty big on Twitter.
Fran
Well, the barstool audience is huge on Twitter. But if you're trying to reach an outside audience of people who just, like drama, like the people who are into Alex Cooper and Alex Earl would be into this.
Noah
TikTok also is, like, more. I feel like they have more rules in terms of, like, alcohol and, like, things that you can show.
Fran
Yeah. Twitter, there's.
Noah
Take things down faster.
Fran
There's just no rules on there.
Noah
Literally no rules.
Fran
No rules. But, yeah. All right, that wraps up the topics. We're getting into the weekly Watch Report. But before we do that, I need to remind you guys how good the Pepsi Prebiotic Cola is. This is the Pepsi Prebiotic Cola cherry vanilla flavor, which is my absolute favorite. We got them stacked in the office. So when it's lunchtime, which after this podcast recording it will be for me, I'm gonna crack open one of these bad boys and get my little daily pick me up. These are so good. 30 calories per can, 5 grams of sugar, and 3 grams of prebiotic fiber in here. So they are delicious. While also, you know, just being unbelievably Pepsi at the same time. You can use promo code 20Prebiotic to get 20% off of Pepsi Prebiotic Cola on Amazon from now until May 30th. This is a great deal. So if you're looking to try this out, you've been seeing how delicious we think it is. You can use code 20Prebiotic for 20% off on Amazon until May 30th. So go out and try Pepsi Prebiotic Cola today. All right, let's get into the weekly Watch Report. We talk about the things we watch this week. Weekly Watch report on Monday. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. All right, let's get into the things we watch this week. I'm gonna start off. Cause I know that we both went to go see this, the drama with Robert Pattinson and Zendaya. Now, where do you feel on spoilers? I think we Avoid. Let's avoid.
Noah
Avoid. Okay. Or we could say we're hard to talk about it. I feel like without. I mean, I guess you could allude to just something, like, crazy. But it is one of those things where I feel like it's kind of hard to talk about.
Fran
All right, so let's throw a spoiler on. On the drama. So we could talk about it and fast forward enough time.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
To not get it. To get it spoiled. If you want to hear about the other things. Or should we put the drama at the end, then?
Noah
Maybe we'll put it at the end.
Fran
Okay. We'll put the drama at the end.
Noah
Yeah. Yeah, I like that.
Fran
So that we don't spoil it for you guys.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
Okay. We'll put the drama at the end. I'm gonna start off with Real Housewives of Rhode Island. This show is great. Oh, my God. You know, here's the thing. I used to be, like, a Die hard Real Housewives fan. It's actually funny looking back. I got Fran into Bravo and Housewives and all that. If you. If you listen back to the radio days, and now Fran is so in it. And I've kind of, like, fallen off on the. On the Housewives at times just because it's hard to keep up with multiple going at the same time that the drama's lackluster. You lose me a little bit. Real Housewives of Rhode island is. Is it for me. I am loving these women. They are ridiculous. They are absolutely fucking ridiculous in an amazing way. We got alleged affairs, and right off the bat, we're on episode three. Like, we have. We already have alleged affairs. And the denial of the affairs is what's making me laugh even more. Lisa, her name is. I. Here's the thing. Still learning their names, because you know what? They were right when they said that they all look a lot alike.
Noah
So what's the average, like, age range here?
Fran
That's a good question. Liz. Not Lisa. I think they're, like, in their 40s. Oh, no. 50s. Okay. I think it's a wide range. I think 40s, 50s, 30s. Like, Ashley eyes in her 30s.
Noah
Oh, see, I was thinking way older. Okay.
Fran
Oh, no, no, no. So Liz, they're saying that she had an affair with Dino, one of, like, her and her husband's good friends. And she's talking to her husband, who's about to have, like, a studio 54 parties. Turning 54. So they're doing, like, a fun studio 54. 54 disco party. They're talking about this alleged affair. She's like, come on, like, let's move. We got a lot of fun things to look forward to. Like, let's just move past this ridiculous, ridiculous. Like, come on, we gotta look forward to the party. I'm like, this is the funniest denial of an affair I've ever seen. She's like, I mean, why focus on this when we have so many good things to look forward to? It's just, it's magical. It is magical. So I'm gonna give right now real houses, Rhode Island a minus. I am thoroughly enjoying. I think it's entertaining right off the bat with these ladies. And I think it's gonna be maybe the new fill in for Jersey. I don't know. I know, I know Jersey's coming back, I think, but I don't know. When you get new fresh blood like this. Oh, and now I'm talking like them. But when you get.
Noah
How do they talk?
Fran
Like Boston mix with Jersey. Like, their accents are insane. Britney Spears, like, it's one of the most wild accent one. Alicia, one of the women on the
Noah
show, like, they grew up in Rhode Island.
Fran
Some of them grew up there, some moved. Alicia has the most wild accent I've ever heard on this show. You got to look up clips of her talking. Look up the clip and honestly throw it in here of her talking about running over a woman. And that's why she doesn't like to drive. I don't like highways.
Isabel Klee
I've gotten in accidents.
Fran
I ran over a woman.
Isabel Klee
I've gotten almost driven off a bridge. So I've been there.
Fran
I've done that with driving. Yeah, I ran over a woman. Yeah, I ran over a woman. I don't. Yeah, I don't drive.
Noah
Killed her.
Fran
The producer's like, elaborate. Yeah, I ran over a woman. I'm still stuck on that. That was episode two. Episode two. We got someone talking about running over a woman. Did she die? Is she alive? We don't know. We don't have a backstory here, but it is golden. So that's an a minus for me. Summer house this week. Whoa. Weird shit. Mind boggling and bizarre. To watch Summer house this week they throw a Vegas themed party. Jesse Solomon, that's his idea. Vegas themed party. It's, you know what, not dressing up for a change. Just getting straight to the party aspect. I like it. West is canoodling with a woman. Has the woman sit on his lap right next to Sierra. Body to body, we got. Okay, he's blacked out. He tells the girl, like, I kind of dated the Girl that's right next to you. She's like, should we move? He's like, nah, fuck it, who cares, right? Bad. Bad for your guy West Wilson to hit that while he's blackout being like, fuck it, who cares, right? They're kissy kissy on each other. Then they move it to the daybed. They move to the daybed. And now Amanda gets involved. And Amanda's like, who's this. Who's this whore west is. She doesn't say it like that, but she's like, who's this girl Wes is hooking up with? She goes, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go in bed with them. Amanda gets on the daybed with west and this girl. And then west starts like playing with a man and he's like, yeah, come in with the cuddle. Starts playing with like Amanda's hair and stuff from the back. And then she gets up and she's like, watch my ass as I walk away. Wait, what the are we watching? Then we watch Sabrina get in bed. And Wes is touching with her. Wes is just touchy. Guy is touchy with her. And they were doing too much. Almost like Sierra wasn't even like that. Like Sierra was upset and thought it was rude. Like he crossed a boundary. She said the words like, how can you be my friend when you don't even see me? Like, you don't even take what I'm saying into consideration. You don't even see me. Literally, I'm sitting right next to you. Don't care. They will. Seemed like Amanda seemed more upset than Sierra at points, but. But disguising it. And now I say disguising, I don't know. As if she was extremely upset for Ciara and she gets so mad at West. Kyle jumps in, is like, you're being unfair. Amanda gets so mad that she storms off and slams the door shut. And now everyone's like, why are we seeing Amanda get so upset about. For Ciara, about West hooking up with another girl, but then she herself hooks up with west. Like it is. It was a mind boggling episode to watch because Mia went on watch what happens live. And even she was like, just alone. Amanda walking away, being like, watch my ass as I walk away. Why are you saying that to your friend Zach? That shit's weird to me. You know what? They're all just a little bit too fucking touchy in that house anyway. You know what? And we've all just chalked it up as like, this is how the cast of Summer House acts. They're all just flirty with each other and touching with each other. They all just like, get in bed with the. I don't know. I don't know. Like, I. I haven't seen a lot of friend groups act like that where, like, you get into bed and. And man and Wes is tickling your head. Why? Why? I've never had a guy friend just tickle my hair like that. And I wouldn't be okay with it either, especially as a married woman. It would be like, ugh, get your dirty paws off me. And I know my husband wouldn't like it either. Get your dirty paws off her. It's weird, you know, I don't know. I don't think I'm being too, like. What's the word? Like, sensitive about that. Like, right. Like, are you just. Is your guy friend just tickling your head? No. I don't think Tyler would appreciate that. Like, no. Like, it's fucking weird. So that was just mind boggling to watch. And then Sierra is having a heartfelt conversation with Mia and Amanda. And Sierra is so there for Amanda with. With, you know, everything. And. And it just. And it seemed reciprocated in this, but clearly it's not. I don't know. Now the speculation is like, was Amanda upset? West was hooking up with someone else because it was her that was hooking up. Like, it was very bizarre. And now Andy Cohen teased on his radio show that this episode is even worse coming up. And it's like he said, it's like. And he said in a whisper tone, he was like, it's like watching Vanderpump Rules when you know what happened with Raquel and Tom and you watch it back and you. You got these chills down your spine because you're like the foreshadowing. If it was foreshadowing or was it happening, was it happening at that time? Because this whole episode was weird. And now I'm very interested. You know, listen, we. Sometimes we get the screeners. Chop chop. Send those screeners over. I want to see what the happened because. And he made it seem juicy. And you know, Kyle's like responding on threads, being like, I don't want to see this and that. And, you know, so we'll see. Beef is back for season two. Whole new plot, whole new premise. Watch the first episode.
Noah
I really wanted to watch that. I didn't get to it yet.
Fran
Pretty good so far. I was in and out of it.
Noah
People are hyping it up.
Fran
Yeah. Yeah. Pretty good so far. I like the premise of the show. But I don't have. I only watched one episode. I fell asleep.
Noah
So Oscar Isaac, isn't it?
Fran
Right, yeah. Carey Mulligan. Yeah, it's. It's a good cast. I will give it a B so far because I once again fell asleep.
Noah
How many episodes are there?
Fran
I don't know.
Noah
I feel like it's probably not that many.
Fran
I don't know. TOC didn't watch Sunday night's episode. The ending might have came. I don't know. I'm only up to the Dragon Slayer beating Mustache Joe, Joey Sasto out of the competition. TOC is just a B plus all around classic show. You know what you're getting. You know, it's nothing crazy, but it's cooking and it's a battle and sometimes you're shocked. Lastly, I watched Roommates, Adam Sandler's daughter, Sadie Sandler's new movie.
Noah
I don't even know about this.
Fran
Yeah, this is now her second. Cause the. We had the Bat Mitzvah movie.
Noah
Oh, yeah.
Fran
Good movie.
Noah
But Adam Sandler's not directing it, is he?
Fran
Well, it's Happy Madison Productions, but I don't think he's directing. Double check that. Good movie. I enjoyed it. I'll give it a B. Entertaining enough, you know, if you. I'm sure people can relate to it a lot. Roommates and such in college. And it's fun. Like, I think that she's really good. I think she's got. Obviously she's Adam Sandler's daughter. She's got the comedic timing. So I enjoyed it. I'll give it a B.
Noah
And yeah, he didn't direct it.
Fran
That is everything new that I watched. I turn on Temptation island and every time I turn on Temptation Island, I'm just shocked at what I'm watching because I'm like, why are you here?
Noah
I thought about starting that just cause
Fran
of like, it's so absurd. But I'm just like, why are you here? So I sometimes, like, you just got to be in the mood for it. I wasn't. I wasn't exactly in the mood for that. But I'll probably pick it up just to watch for, you know, easy, easy background noise. And that is everything new I watched.
Noah
All right. I've been watching a ton of Mad Men. I'm like halfway through season two, that. That's the thing now. It's like when you start an old show like this that has. It has seven seasons and you like it. That's kind of. I've been putting it off. It's because I don't want to get. Now I'm locked into where I'm like, otherwise, I would have watched Beef already. I would have watched these news. It's hard because, like, any time. Any TV time that I usually have, I'm just putting Mad Men on now. But it's really good. Like, I'll give it an A minor. I'm, like, halfway through season two right now. I think I have to, like, walk my Jon Hamm stance back a little bit. Like, dude, he's good.
Fran
He's great. When we went to the movies, there was a Jon Hamm commercial that played, and it was, like, commercial? No, no. It was, like, a really sad commercial about, like, sick kids with Jon Hamm, like, being the Voice. I immediately felt bad the way I was degrading him. Last week, I was like. I immediately, like, I got a flashback of the clip of me talking about Jon Hamm, and I was like, I mean, this guy is just trying to help some sick kids, and I'm out there degrading him. Disgusting. You know what?
Noah
I also forgot he was really good on Curb Enthusiasm. I'm getting fed John Ham stuff now. He was going to town, like, you know, I don't know. I think. I think your Friends and neighbors, his character, and that kind of is what I was talking about mostly. But I'll give it an A minus. Like, I'm locked in some great characters in that show. And it's just interesting, like, that time period, because, like, the whole show, it's like, it starts in season one is 1960, and then apparently they end the show in 1970. So it's like, that whole decade. But, yeah, I'm. I'm locked in, so that's a minus. The Pit finale, season two, I watched. There's some great moments, some emotional moments. I was kind of, like, let down a little bit in terms of, like, they didn't really, like, tie everything up. There are a lot of, like, loose ends. I didn't really feel, like, fully satisfied in the way that the show ended. I'll give it a B plus, to be honest. Like, it was good. And you always love my pet answers, my pit standards. Yeah, I just. I kind of. I don't know what I was expecting, but, yeah, there were some really, really good scenes. There were just so many different. Like, if people are watching the show, like, I. I thought that Robbie and Langdon were gonna have, like, a bigger, like, resolve, like, the two of them, and then that kind of didn't happen. Yeah. I don't want to spoil too much. It's hard when, like, the. The kind of. The whole, like, season is kind of like, is Robbie. There's no other way to say, like, is he gonna, like, kill himself, like, or. But it's like, we know he's not. If the show is coming back. But I see a lot of people saying they want, like, a Night Shift season now. I think that'd be cool, but I'd prefer just to bring it back because, like, each season ends with, like, all right, they're. Now the new shift is in.
Fran
Right.
Noah
And the main guy in that Night shift is a great actor, too. But, yeah, I don't know. I'm excited for season three. I saw. I think I saw Ken Jack talking about this. The fans of this show online are insane. Like, if you're on that Twitter or, like, tick tock algorithm, like, it's crazy, but I'll give it a B plus. Still, like, one of the better shows I'm watching. I just felt a little like there was more. Your Friends and Neighbors, episode three, season two. That's, like, a solid Beef. Have you been watching her?
Fran
No, we were gonna watch last night, and I wanted to watch Beef. I wanted to, like. Yeah, because people were hyping that up, and then I ended up falling asleep anyway, so didn't get to catch up on that.
Noah
That's just like, a solid B for me right now. And again, like, James Marston is like. I don't think it's like, a spoiler.
Fran
Was in my dream last night. But, like, watching him on tv, weird. You know when you hear something that reminds you of your dream.
Noah
Yeah, yeah. Anyways, James Marston, basically, I don't think he's really spoils anything, but he, like, catches Jon Hamm, like, robbing his house. So now he basically, like, has Jon Hamm working for him. But, I mean, James Morrison is great. Like, even if the show sucked, I'd still watch it for James Mars. And so that's a B. I watched this documentary on Hulu called Sky King. I've seen the video. I had seen the videos and, like, about this story on Tik Tok, but not like, there's a whole documentary. So there's way more context. But it's basically about this kid. I mean, kid. And it's like, 20s. He stole a commercial airplane. Like, he's. He, like, worked on the Runway as one of those guys, and he just got in one day, just got into the plane and took off.
Fran
Like, that's insane.
Noah
They didn't. Like. It's the craziest thing and so they're like. It's the whole backstory. Like, it's. It's very sad because he's clearly, like, depressed and, like, going through stuff. But he was, like, super nice, like, because they're talking to him like, hey, like, let's just have you land the plane, like, buddy. And he's like, I don't want to hurt anyone. I just. I'm just trying to, like, see the sights right now. And he ends up, like, killing himself. Like, just crashes the plane. But that's wild. It's. It's a crazy story. It's an insane story, and. But it was very good and, like, very sad. I'll give it a B plus. I watched Euphoria last night, episode two, where, like, it's just an. It's just one of those shows now. It's kind of like dtf where I'm, like, annoyed that it's on TV because I have to watch it.
Fran
So many people love it. I mean, we talked about it last week, and we posted some clips, and a lot of people responded to the clips being like, you guys are nuts. Like, the show's so good.
Noah
Yeah. I just. I don't. You know, who these people.
Fran
I didn't watch the second episode or
Noah
where you live, like, or if you're real.
Fran
If you're real. But that's true. That's true. It's a good question to ask. Yeah.
Noah
Because it's just like, I'm like, I want to watch Beef. I want to watch Mad Men. But I'm like, I. I got to watch you for. It's just one of those shows. I will say this week's was better. It's still absurd for the most part, but at least, like, there's more interconnecting of characters this time around where it doesn't feel so, like, disjointed. Like, Maddie is talking to Rue, and. And then Maddie meets up with Cassie, and the Cassie Only fan stuff is still just absurd. Like, it's crazy. Like, I mean, it's the character. I get it. But, like, some of the things that I have Sydney Sweeney doing in the show, I'm like, this is, yeah. Crazy. And, like, during one of the shots of her, like, doing an only Fancy, they literally, like, are narrating the show and being like, Cassie's one of those girls who will do, like, embarrass herself for attention. And it's hard to not see it as, like, not just Cassie, like, the way that. But, yeah, it's. It's. It's still not good in, like, it feels just like a diff. Such a different show. Like, it feels like I'm watching a different show with, like. Yeah, I mean, same characters, kind of.
Fran
I've seen them. Reaction of people being like, well, they are five years older. So it is sort of different because it is a different show. Like, they're not in high school anymore and it is like them as adults. But something just. It just feels like it should have just ended.
Noah
Yeah, I'll give it like a C minus compared to, like, I think I gave it an F last week because it's. It's like entertaining at points. There's certain storylines that I care about or more interested in than others. And now it's like this. I don't want to spoil it, but it's like, now it's like, ruin Jules are back together. Like, is that gonna be a thing? Like, yeah, I'll give it a C minus. Like, I'm gonna keep watching it, but it's not great, in my opinion. And then. Yeah, and then the drama.
Fran
The drama. Okay, so if you did not see the drama and you don't want it spoiled, then fast forward this part where we're going to talk about it with spoilers. So huge spoiler alert about the drama. So this is the movie with Robert Pattinson and Zendaya. They're getting married and they are at their wedding tasting, their food tasting, and they're with another couple friend, and they go around the table and say, what's the worst thing you've ever done?
Noah
And going into this, I. I knew nothing other than, I think Fran had said, like, something bad happens or something really bad, like, or controversial.
Fran
Right.
Noah
So I knew that, but I literally knew nothing going into this.
Fran
Yeah, so I had seen this spoiled because people were talking about, like, whether or not they should have warned people about the discussion topics in this movie because of, like, how heavy it is and, you know, people going in and not knowing what it's about. And then, you know, it's a lot like ptsd. Like, it could be a lot triggering for people. So they get to the scene, you know, the tasting, they go around, gets a Zendaya, and she says that she planned a school shooting when she was younger.
Noah
Didn't.
Fran
Didn't go through with it, but planned it. Got a weapon, the whole thing. And immediately everyone's like, what?
Noah
And like, at first, I think, like, at least Ron, Pat, they kind of thought she was kidding.
Fran
They thought she was kidding and because
Noah
they had just said, like, very innocent, like, what's the worst thing you did? Like, oh, like, I like, just stupid stuff.
Fran
Right. And then, like, you know, it was like all, like, things. And they were younger and it's one of the Heim sisters.
Noah
Yeah, she's been in a bunch of movies.
Fran
It's Alana. She was in one battle after another. She was great in this movie. She was really good. She plays Rachel, Emma, Zendaya's character's closest friend. And immediate reaction is terrible, obviously, because they're like, okay, wait, do we have a psychopath on our hands? You know, Rachel's character is like, my cousin was a victim of school shooting. She's paralyzed now. Like, you know, and Robert Pattinson. The whole movie is basically like Robert Pattinson trying to get past this and trying to, like, justify this and justify marrying her.
Noah
And I feel like it's one of those things of, like, can people change like, something like this? It's like, however much time goes by, it's like, are you able to, like, change who you are?
Fran
Right, because.
Noah
Or are you scared that that person is still like that person?
Fran
Right, because the conversation right before she revealed that was Robert Pattinson, and he was like, I cyberbullied a kid when I was like, 14. And they were like, okay, you were 14? Like, you know, like, that was the conversation. They were like, you were 14. Like, who cares what you did when you were 14? And then it was Zendaya, she was like 14 or 15. And it was immediately like, wait, that brings up the conversation, like, can she change? Like, is this person still? And then the. It's really just like a movie that keeps you on edge the whole time. The whole thing is terrible. And it's Robert Pattinson's character trying to, like, justify it because he knew her without knowing this. And he's like, do I still marry her? Is she a psychopath? He's scared of her. And here's the thing. Like, I thought it was good. People are making it seem like it was the best movie they've ever seen. I didn't feel that way, but I do think it was like an original idea. Obviously, we've never seen something like this before. And there's a lot of thought provoking messages in this movie, I think.
Noah
I think not knowing anything, like, going into this made it a lot better for me where, like, I didn't. I really wasn't expecting to be, like, so heavy, but it was also very funny.
Fran
There were funny moments too. And it is such a heavy topic, but there were also little tidbits that were funny. So, yeah, it was interesting.
Noah
And, like, Robert Pattinson was great.
Fran
Yeah, I thought that they were both really great. I. I thought that Alana was great. Like, I. I thought that the acting was phenomenal, and it was such an original idea like that.
Noah
That's. That's the refreshing part about it, I think, is that, like, I've never seen this premise or, like, movie before, because kind of going in, I was. I don't even know what I was expecting, but it was just like this really kind of, like. Yeah, was not expecting that.
Fran
And then it comes back around at the end, and because Robert Patson ends up cheating on her in a state of, like, she doesn't even know what the fuck's going on with his, like, assistant, she finds out at the wedding, the wedding's a whole big mess, and then they kind of, like, come back together at the end. I don't know. I thought it was good, but I. I'm not like, there. I see some people being like, this was amazing. That's not the level I'm at. But I thought it was good in an original idea, and I thought the Zendaya and Rob Pattinson were great. So I would give it a B plus.
Noah
Yeah. Yeah, I'm with you.
Fran
There were a lot of coming attractions for A24 films that are coming. That, man, they are just cooking it up. The Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde one looks interesting. The invite seems like Penelope Cruz and it seems like some sort of swinger situation happening. There's another one. I have no idea what's happening. The rooms, like, the really big.
Noah
That one I saw. Yeah, that one seems disturbing.
Fran
That. Yeah. Like, there's a lot of movies in
Noah
general, like, coming out that look really good.
Fran
Nick Jones, we talked about this last week. Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd, they have a movie coming out where Nick Jonas plays like, a Nick Jonas. And then Paul Rudd's like, I wrote that song. And it's like a whole thing that seems fun. A lot of good movies, I think, coming out.
Noah
The Odyssey.
Fran
Yeah.
Noah
June Part three.
Fran
Yeah, it's. I feel like it's gonna be, you know, like, we. We were talking about, like, how's this year gonna be topped with movies? But when you actually go to the movies and see the coming attractions for movies that are coming out, you're like, oh, wait, there are good movies.
Noah
That's what I also like. I. I try to not watch. Like, I. I had seen that. The Seth Rogen trailer, like, came out online, and I just didn't watch it. But so then when I was in the movie theater and saw it for the first time there. It's like, it's a more fun experience.
Fran
It feels more grand. It just feels like, oh, there's a movie coming out with Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen. Like, when, when actors, like, spread that message of going to the movies, you're like, okay, you know, we know we gotta. But then when you really are there and you see it, you're like, you know what? You're so right.
Noah
Such a different element where, like, during the drama, like I said, it's like a very serious, heavy topic. But there are points where like, everyone in the theater is laughing and like that. That is different than if you're just on your couch and like sitting in silence. Like, I don't know if I'd be laughing as much, but there's like a bunch of people, right.
Fran
And also wondering if you should be laughing.
Noah
Yeah, right.
Fran
Because there are parts where you're like, you're laughing and other people in the theater are laughing. So you're like, okay, this is funny.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
But if you're home watching that movie and you're laughing, you're like, am I supposed to be laughing at this? Like, there's a sense of that, sense of that element as well. But yeah, it was good, good movie. And they did like so much marketing for it. And they'll be together a lot, these two. So, yeah, that wraps it up. That's everything we watched this week. Ria
All right, everyone, we are here with a very special guest. We have Isabel Klee in studio. I'm so excited to have you here. This is one where you totally have, like, the parasocial relationships. Like, we're like, I've. We have never met in real life, but we have. We have so much in common. And crossings and the dogs and. And I think, like, I've talked about Simon Sits, your Instagram account on this podcast a lot.
Isabel Klee
Yes.
Ria
Which has been so much fun. So thank you for coming.
Isabel Klee
Oh, my God, I'm so excited to be here. I. I know. I feel like I'm, like, friends with you guys, but we never actually. We're online friends.
Fran
Yeah.
Isabel Klee
I was, like, explaining it to everybody out there. I'm like, no, we know each other. Yeah. Way back.
Fran
That's the way it is now, though. It's like, you know people online and you see, like, it's like, oh, we get a big hug in real life, and it's like, we've known each other forever.
Isabel Klee
Right? Like, there's no need to, like, get to know each other. Like, which is kind of a little bit weird. But I also feel like the dog thing, it's like, when you meet somebody who is such a dog lover, you just have this automatic connection. And I'm like, I know you're a good person because you love dogs. You adopted a dog. I'm like, you're automatically on my nice list.
Ria
Absolutely. And I think, like, it is so true. You jump into the conversation, and I was telling my whole. I was, like, telling my whole family you were coming in because we send all your videos all the time. And, you know, my sister, too, and we've been following for so long. I just told you. I actually followed you in 2019, like,
Isabel Klee
early, which is literally. It's when I made Simon's account. Was March 2019.
Ria
Yes. So I have been on. I feel like I've watched this journey for you where, you know, you. You really just, like, were posting your. Your dog, and, yeah, it's just, like,
Isabel Klee
cute photos of Simon.
Ria
Photos of Simon. Which I was down for. And then when you really started going viral for your fosters, now we're at, like, 850,000 followers.
Fran
Yeah.
Isabel Klee
It's over 2 million across like, all accounts, which is literally, like, I. It's insane because it's all happened in the last, like, two years.
Fran
Yeah. When you got Simon, what inspired you to make an account? You just wanted to document cute pictures?
Isabel Klee
Yeah, I mean, I feel like. Yeah. I feel like when so many people get dogs now, they just want to post cute photos of their dogs. Like, their entire camera rolls photos of their dog. So I was like, you know what? I might as well just, like, make this account and post these photos so I'm not, like, irritating all of my friends all day, every day. And for many years, that's all it was. Not all it was, but, you know, it was just these cute photos of Simon. And then it wasn't until, like, two and a half years ago that I decided to start documentary documenting my fostering journey that it really just, like, blew up beyond Simon.
Ria
And I know. I feel like. I feel like I probably know the answer, but what. What dog that you were fostering you think got the. Caught the most online attention?
Isabel Klee
Oh, yeah, we all know it was Tiki. Yeah.
Ria
I was like, it had to have been Tiki, but, my God, Poutine was.
Isabel Klee
There has been a couple. I will say there's been a couple that have really, like, taken off.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
My.
Isabel Klee
The first one that really went viral was Lucchese, and he was. I always say he looked like Steve Buscemi and just, like, the cutest dog. And then Poutine and then Tiki, and then most recently, Whimsy really stole everybody's heart. There's been a. There's been quite a few that have really blown up, but Tiki, by far was, like, national international news. It was insane, really was.
Ria
And everything. And you talk about everything in your book, which. Which you are here to talk about.
Fran
Yes.
Ria
Dogs, boys, and other things I've cried about. I read it, I cried. I loved it. I thought it was such a great story. I know I'm jumping ahead a little bit, but you just announced that there's a TV deal.
Fran
So excited.
Ria
Which, let me tell. And I know, like, reading it with that in mind was so huge, too, because the whole time I was like, yep, this is gonna make a great TV show.
Fran
Yeah. Take us through the process of everything, though, writing the book, and then, you know, we're seeing before the book even comes out that you're getting a TV Yes.
Isabel Klee
So I have always been a writer, or I've always wanted to be a writer, I should say. I went to school for it. But then, you know, of course I feel like it's the kind of thing like being an actor where you're like, nobody actually becomes an actor. Like nobody actually becomes like a best selling author. It's just like a pipe dream. So I kind of like put it away for a while and then when I got let go for my, I was at the same job for seven years and I got let go pretty unexpectedly. And I kind of had this moment of like, I could apply for another job or I could try to make this work on my own. So that's really when I started to put effort into my own accounts and sharing my fostering journeys and writing about it. And that is the first time that I connected my two greatest loves, which is writing and dogs. And my literary agent Cold emailed me in April, so almost exactly two years ago. And she just said, have you ever considered writing a book? And I was like, only every day of my entire life. Like, yes. So we met up finally.
Ria
Someone's asking me the question, I'm like,
Fran
yes, you know what?
Isabel Klee
I have. We met up and we kind of came up with the concept of the book together. We wrote a book proposal. And it's so different. I mean, I'm sure you guys know, like Instagram is so instant gratification. I'm like, I make a video and then an hour later it's, it's released to the world and I'm seeing comments and like feedback. This was so different. So it was like writing the book proposal took me months. Then in October, I got my book deal. I wrote the book for an entire year. And then I guess, you know, there's all this like behind the scenes stuff that goes on. I signed with a TV agent like a year ago. So that, that's been like in the process for a very long time. And then UCP reached out. And this is what I tell people. You never know who's following you. You never know because so many times these people who are the powerful, the powerful people, the people who really make things happen, have no following you, have no idea who they are. So the president of ucp, Universal Content Productions, she's the president of like tv, the TV sector, she followed me and she was like, I heard about this book, I want in. Like I met with her, she's amazing. And it just happened and it was just kind of like really meant to be. And we're still in the very early process of it. But it's just so insane because as soon as I wrote this book, it was the same thing that you said that I was like, this has to be a TV series because it's written in a very like episodic way that lends itself. Like each of my foster dogs is kind of an episode in of themselves. So I just felt like it was
Ria
like clear cut chapters of your life, right? Sort of.
Isabel Klee
Yeah.
Ria
And not to be like God, but like boys. It's in the. There's good like episode per.
Isabel Klee
Yes.
Ria
There's good like boyfriend arcs.
Fran
Yeah.
Isabel Klee
Well, I really wanted the book. I love dogs more than anything on earth. I don't personally really like to read an entire book just about dogs. Like, I don't think it's. I don't know, even for a person like me, I don't think it's like that. Riveting. I love reading about romance, I love reading about dating. And so I was like, I need to combine these two things. So, yeah, I do think it lend. That definitely even more lends itself to like a coming of age New York City TV series, you know.
Fran
That is really incredible though. And it really is like a dream come true story. From being somebody who wants to write and then having that turn into a TV show, I feel like is everyone's dream right now, especially in the book world. I mean, we are seeing so many book to TV or book to movie adaptations happening. So this is so exciting. But now you have the pressure of releasing this book, seeing the reaction and then automatically going right into writing a TV show.
Isabel Klee
Yeah, it's a lot. And I'm also getting married this year and I'm moving.
Fran
It's like it's all happening at once,
Ria
doing all the things.
Isabel Klee
But I don't know, I just feel so grateful. It is very scary in some ways. Like it's. This is not just a book, it's my life, so. And a lot of people have read it and been like, I was not expecting you to be so open and vulnerable about like your exes and all this stuff. I think a lot of content creators who write don't get quite.
Ria
Because it's so.
Isabel Klee
It's so vulnerable and it's so scary
Ria
to reveal that certain type of Instagram account too. That is very dog forward. So it's like when you're reading, you wouldn't know that you have lived, yeah. These lives and dated guys a life outside of America. And I'm like. And like, you know, was traveling through Europe and he's living in basement apartments in the city. And, like, all these things, you. That's the side we haven't gotten to know, which is very interesting in a book.
Isabel Klee
Yeah.
Fran
And I think.
Isabel Klee
I think that was important for me to share too, because I think a lot of stories, and I think my Instagram too, it's very, like, wholesome. And a lot of stories about dogs are very, like, Disney fied, is what I say. There's very, like, sugary, sweet. And I wanted to write about how, like, I had a boyfriend who was addicted to heroin, and he and dogs helped me through that. And it's not all, like, picture perfect, like, sweet stories. It's, like, real and it's gritty. And these dogs, like, really help us through these very serious things in life. And I feel like that's so important to talk about and, like, isn't talked about nearly enough.
Ria
No, it's so true. And I loved. It had to have been tough for you as well, because it's like, you. You lived it so, like, you had to, especially in your relationships. I loved sort of the way you talked about the things that you yourself needed to. To change in how you were in relationships when you met Jacob.
Fran
Yes.
Ria
And then it's like, okay, so you lived it. Now you have to, like, put it in writing of sort of being like, I didn't have my shit together to, like, make that relationship work at that time. Yeah, but now you did, so. But I'm saying, like, living it and then having to, like, kind of relive it has to be sort of tough too, right?
Isabel Klee
Yeah, I think. Think it was. I think especially with my relationship. I write about my relationship with my fiance, and we broke up, or I broke up with him and then we got back together. I think that was probably the most difficult because he's my current fiance, I should say. But, like, we're like, yeah.
Ria
So I wrote this in the book.
Isabel Klee
Yes. And, you know, I, like, handed it over to my editor. And I remember saying, like, do I look like an asshole? Like, am I, like, right? Because I want it to be so super honest. Yeah. I didn't want to be, like, holier than thou. Like, I am, like, picture perfect. Because I actually did feel that way in so many of my other relationships because the people I was dating were so messed up that I was like, I never do anything wrong ever. So then when I met Jacob and I was like, oh, I actually have. I have some, like, bad habits and things that I'm not, like, super respectful of. And you know, whatever the case may be. And I was kind of worried of how I would be portrayed by. And my editor assured me she's like, no, no, it's fine. And then Jacob read it. He actually didn't want to read it. He was just like, write it, and whatever you write, like, I will be fine with. And he read it and he was like, I feel like you could have been harder on me, like, his part of it. So it is, like, it's my reality. And I. I wrote it as honestly as I could. But, yeah, I. I felt like it was important to talk about, especially my relationship. So many people look at it, and, I mean, Jacob is, like, literally the best guy on Earth, and people talk about him all the time, but it wasn't always perfect, and it's not always perfect. And I think that's so important in, like, Instagram relationships to talk about, too. Of, like. Yeah, there's, like, a lot of shit we had to get through together, and a lot of, like, separate therapy we had to get through. And. Yeah, I wanted that book to reflect that reality.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
When you. When you write a book at, you know, a young age and you are, you know, all these people are in your life still, you have, you know, your friends and all these things, what's. What's the process of, like, hey, so I put this story in the book, or, like, anything with your friends, you're like, is there things that you run by the girls to be like, guys, I'm putting this in the book.
Isabel Klee
There weren't a lot. I mean, to be fair, all of the stories about my friends, there was nothing like. Like, really bad.
Ria
No, they all seem. They seem like amazing friends.
Isabel Klee
They are amazing friends. But, like, I. I would never put any, like, like, dirty stories about them in my memoir. So there wasn't too much that I felt like I had to run by. I did my. The very first roommate that I had, Phoebe, I write about, like, her love story with her now husband. And I did send that to them to just be like, can you co sign this? Because they also had, like, a little bit of a turbulent beginning. And so I just wanted to. I knew she would be fine with it, and she was. So there were a few things that I was like, just like, look, get eyes on this. But mostly, I mean, yeah, you know, the exes didn't get the phone call.
Fran
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I was gonna ask that, but I feel like, you know, everything's your life.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. And everything's been changed, so it's like every. All the names, obviously, but, like, all identifying details, all. Like, if I ever mentioned, like, where they worked, it's all like, changed. So nothing could be, like, traced back to them.
Fran
So.
Isabel Klee
Yeah, that was right.
Fran
But how do you tell the full story without including them? Right.
Isabel Klee
Oh, they have to be.
Fran
I have to be included when it comes to the TV show. Are you gonna act in it?
Isabel Klee
No, no, no, definitely not. I, you know, I did like high school theater, but like, no, I have no interest in acting.
Ria
Dream Isabelle, who do you like? It's so crazy.
Isabel Klee
I don't.
Ria
So I keep saying that you gotta manifest. You gotta put the names out there.
Fran
I know, I know.
Isabel Klee
I keep saying that. I think that whoever is playing me has to be 20 year old Isabel. So we probably don't even know who she is yet. Like, I don't know. I mean, sure, some people could play younger, but I kind of want the actors to be undiscovered. I kind of prefer that my favorite show of all time is normal people. And so, like, obviously I'm like, oh, Daisy. Edgar Jones could be me and Paul Mascul should be Jacob. But, you know, but they were undiscovered at the time of Normal People. So I'm like. I like that. I like it just being like, normal people who are like, playing, you know,
Fran
especially now we're seeing that, like, heated rivalry that. Exactly. It popped off so much because people we haven't seen before and then the obsession just becomes huge.
Isabel Klee
I think that too. And I think sometimes it's hard for people to see, like, not that he would ever do this, but like a Jacob Elordi in something like, he's always gonna be Jacob Elordi. It's hard to, like, take the celebrity out of the character. And it's like for something like this,
Fran
you have to put him in the Frankenstein makeup.
Isabel Klee
For something like this, I would like it to be more like, grounded and like, honest.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, no, that would be.
Fran
That's so true. That is so cool. That's amazing. Congratulations. I mean, that is really just a dream come true. And then on top of that, you mentioned you are getting married this year. Yeah. How is the planning been? What's going through your head?
Isabel Klee
I am the most type B bride of all time. I think it also helps that I have, like, all these other things going on. Like, book. The book is my main priority. But I am very excited. We're getting married in September and we rented out sleepaway camp for three days. So.
Fran
So fun.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. So it's going to be like, very Chill. Very fun. My friends will stay in cabins on the property. There's going to be, like, after throwing and, like, archery.
Fran
So fun drinking.
Isabel Klee
Yeah, it's gonna. It's gonna be really fun. And dogs, obviously. Of course. So everyone can bring their dogs.
Ria
Bring your dogs.
Fran
Oh, that's amazing. Yeah.
Ria
Will. Will Simon be walking down the aisle?
Isabel Klee
Simon will be present. Okay. I don't think he's gonna be walking me down the aisle. Simon does this thing where, like, when he knows he's not supposed to, he'll just, like, bark.
Ria
Yeah, yeah.
Isabel Klee
And so people are like, if you guys were like, oh, bring Simon today. I'd been like, no. So I don't know. He'll definitely be there the whole weekend,
Fran
but I don't know if I'll be
Isabel Klee
there for the ceremony.
Fran
Right, right, right. It's like a baby that you don't
Isabel Klee
know if the baby's gonna cry.
Fran
Exactly.
Ria
So ceremony can be overstimulating.
Isabel Klee
I think it's. He doesn't need to be there. He can be in the photos afterwards.
Ria
So you have some of the pictures.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Before that. Yes. That's so true. And Simon really seemed to have, you know, Jacob passed the Simon test pretty quickly. It seemed. Right.
Isabel Klee
I will say that. I mean, you'll read about this in the book that, like, Jacob knew that he had to court Simon as. As he courted me on our first date, he showed up like, he had a charcuterie board for us, but then he made, like, a barcuterie board for Simon and, like, got all these different treats. And then. Very cute. And then Simon is super medically complex. He has, like, a million health issues, including epilepsy, which is very expensive. And like, a couple of months into our relationship, Jacob sat me down and said, like, I want to split all these bills with you. And I was like, that is the hottest thing I've ever heard in my life. Like, you want us? And he's so expensive. And just the fact that he was like, I want to take this on with you. Like that. Yeah. I was like, okay, you're my husband.
Fran
Yeah.
Isabel Klee
That's commitment right there.
Ria
Yeah, exactly. That. That seals the deal.
Isabel Klee
Yeah.
Ria
But you talk about a ton of your fosters in the book as well. And I think one of the craziest things that people hone into online about fostering, especially now, like, public figures that foster is when they start posting every comment is like, you have to keep that dog. Like, you must keep that dog. And every single time a new dog's like, no, no, no. You Gotta keep the dog. And I feel like that has happened to you less and less now because it's like, obviously you are often fostering, but yeah, of course there's a foster fail. But so many people, like, it's so important to keep fostering. And if you keep the dogs and you can't keep fostering, you talk about. But I wanted to ask you, like, who was the dog that you were closest to be like, oh, oh, well,
Isabel Klee
this one actually still breaks my heart. So I mentioned Lucchese. Jacob still says that Lucchese was like his sole dog. Yeah, like daddy. He's like the one that got away for Jacob. And it makes me sad, but he has the best life. He lives in like Jersey City. His mom is like, like the creative director of Steve Madden or something. Like, she's like, fabulous.
Ria
He's living a fabulous.
Isabel Klee
Yeah, he's. He's great. And then the one most recently that I was considering adopting was Mooney. He was like a really old Chihuahua. And I love chihuahuas.
Ria
Yeah.
Isabel Klee
And he was just. I took him to Puppy bowl because he was in. He was in their, like, senior segment that they did. And he was like, bomb proof. Like, he met a million dogs. It was like lights, camera, action. And he was just like, go with the flow. I'm like, this is the dog that I need to be able to bring everywhere.
Ria
He always have him.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. And he was like, small enough. And I want that. Like, I want a dog that I can like fly to LA with and always have it with me. And like, because everybody always wants me to bring the dogs. And I'm like, I can't bring Simon. And it's this whole thing. So I was like, very close to it. But, you know, I feel. And I think when you read the book, it'll be clear. Like, Simon and I, like, that's just like my guy. Like, I'm like, it's me and him till the end and then maybe when he passes, hopefully a million years from now, I can consider another dog. But like, the idea of introducing another dog permanently right now at this stage in his life, it just doesn't feel right to me. So that was ultimately what made me decide not to adopt Mooney, which is extremely fair.
Fran
And it brings up Fran's point of people being like, you need to adopt everybody. And it is a lot of pressure because it is such an amazing thing when people do foster and can keep fostering. Like, Noah's mom is always fostering and they. Every time he comes in and says they got a New foster. And they always say, you know, maybe we'll keep this. Yeah, but then. But then you can't keep fostering, so.
Isabel Klee
Right.
Fran
It is important. And I think that for the people who know, they really get it.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. And I. I will say my last, most recent foster, Marmee, I. There was a comment on one of my TikTok videos, and they were like, I just scrolled through your entire comment section with, like, over a thousand comments, and not one person was saying, you should keep her. And they're like, this is so night and day from, like, when you first started posting. Because I really think people get it now. Like, people understand the importance of fostering and, like, what fostering is. And that makes me so happy, too.
Ria
Like, it.
Isabel Klee
I think so many people have been inspired to foster and just, like, get it. And that is what is most important to me is, like, the point is not to adopt. If you do adopt, it's amazing. But that's not, like, the point of fostering.
Ria
Yeah, no, I know. I totally. And I think you've shown that to so many people because. And I think people love seeing your new foster. So it's like, now they're like, oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Isabel Klee
He.
Ria
He's so cute. But she can't keep him because then we. We need to know who the next one is.
Isabel Klee
Right.
Ria
The next one is gonna be. And there's just been so many crazy stories of, you know, dogs showing up, like, in random places. You're like, I guess I gotta take this dog. Like, so.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
So it's great. But you have such an amazing relationship with Muddy Paws.
Isabel Klee
Yes.
Ria
The, you know, rescue, which. Where I had gotten all of as well. But what's, like, your routine with them when they. When they get someone that. When they get a dog that they're like, this one's got to go to Isabel.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. Well, so one of my really close friends. We become really close friends is the foster program manager at Money Paws. So she. It's funny because she'll get a dog and she'll immediately just text me and be like, what do you think? Yeah. But it's gotten to the point where the ACC now will text or email Hillary and be like, we got a dog for Isabel. So now there's like, a pipeline of Isabel foster dogs.
Fran
Oh, my God.
Isabel Klee
And they'll reach out to her, and then she'll reach out to me. And most of the time, I can't remember a time that I've said no. Really? Because they have a good sense of, like, the kind of dogs that I like to work with and. Right.
Ria
And they know you have Simon, like.
Isabel Klee
Right? Yeah.
Fran
So they.
Isabel Klee
It's. It's just been this, like, beautiful partnership, and I just love them. I love the acc. I love Muddy Paws. I think we were talking about them earlier. They're just, like, the best of the best.
Ria
They. They really are. And I kind of known already, like, when I went into wanting to adopt, that I had a bunch of friends in the city that had already gotten dogs, and they gotten them from Muddy Paws. And it was like, winner after winner. Like, all these dogs were, like, amazing. We're like, these are great dogs. And so, you know, I said to my husband, like, when the time comes, like, we're definitely getting a dog for Muddy Paws. So I just. I just, like, knew right away when
Isabel Klee
I was gonna say, what. Well, what inspired. Like, what was the connection with Olive?
Ria
Well, so her original name was Sarah, which was. You know, we changed it. No offense, to Sarah, our producer. I'm like, sarah's a. Sarah's a human name.
Fran
Sarah.
Isabel Klee
Yeah.
Ria
And. And so when I saw. I had originally saw her online, I mean, I spent, like, six months every single night. Like, my husband had a joke where Sundays were the day that I could show him dogs.
Fran
Like, yeah.
Isabel Klee
He was like, it has to be condensed.
Ria
Sundays were the day that I could be like, look at the Money Paws website. What do you think of these ones? Like, let's. Let's talk about it. And it went on for a while. I'd seen her profile, so I knew she was there. And, I mean, I've told this story, but the shortened version is my husband left for a bachelor party, and it was, like, a beautiful Saturday, first Saturday in May. And me and my two girlfriends, like, walked to Union Square. And I was like, let's just. Just, like, walk through the event. Meanwhile, I had been stalking the website for months. So I'm like, that's this. I, like, knew every name and every dog. And the volunteers were like, okay. Like, why do you know all the dogs? And Sarah had gotten, like, she had some interest, and two other couples had, like, taken her on little test walks, what they do. And literally, it was like they were closing up shop. It was the end of the day. And I was like, did she get adopted? And they were like, no, they didn't. She hasn't been adopted.
Isabel Klee
I was like, give her to me.
Ria
So took her for a little walk, and I looked at my two girlfriends. I was like, guys, like, I'm gonna take this dog home. My Husband's phone died when he charged it. I was like, this is our dog. And it was, it was, it was perhaps, you know, not the best move on my part. Was a little shady for, For a few weeks there, but now he's like, when I'm not home, he texts me. He's like, I love this dog more than anything. Like, she's the best thing that's ever happened. Like, it always, always, always, like now because we've been traveling a lot recently for work. And he like, sends me pictures of her. And the other day he sent me a picture. He goes, I just like the. She's the only one I love as much as I love you.
Isabel Klee
It's like a love you can't even describe. It's like, it is just. And anybody who hasn't had a dog, like, I feel like they're like, I don't get it. It's like it's a dog. But then once you have a dog, you're like, ah, this you are the most perfect creature I've ever seen.
Ria
I know. And it's so different when it's like your own dog too. Like, growing up with dogs is so fun and great and you. And you love those dogs, but like, when it becomes your own dog, it's a whole different. It's a whole different story. But no, I know, it really is. It's so funny. And I'm like, there's something really special too about reading this book with your dog. I was laying in bed, she was cuddled up next to me, and I'm reading the book and I'm like. I'm like, oh, my God. But then you really do think, like, my God, why don't they live forever?
Isabel Klee
You just want them to live forever. I literally freaked out my fiance the other day and I was like, I think I want a taxidermy Simon. And he was like, what? And I was like, how am I supposed to not look at him every day? He's like, you can look at photos. I'm like, it's not the same.
Ria
It's not the same.
Isabel Klee
Like, touch face, his.
Fran
His fur.
Isabel Klee
Like, look at him. And I'm like, I'm sure we could find a good one to like, make it look really.
Ria
I know. I thought like. And I can't believe I'm gonna bring it up again because I think my dad got like legit mad at me. But he said he didn't really. But we. I was doing about this too, because one of our. One of my parents dogs passed the end of Last summer. And, like, their house in Florida now is, like, there's pillows with her face. There's mugs with her face. Like, she is kind of, like, everywhere. And it was so sweet. But I'm like, she's everywhere. Yeah, but no, at this point, like, now I'm like, I get it. Like, I'd have a giant, like, poster of Olive.
Fran
Right. Like, I said that my family dog that passed, like, my parents have, like, a vial of his fur.
Ria
Yeah.
Isabel Klee
Oh, I will be. Yeah. I. I've seen those people who make, like, necklaces out of. They make, like, a diamond out of their fur or their ashes. I don't know. Whatever it is. Whatever it is, I'm like, I'll do, you know, multiple. Yes. I'll have a whole jewelry set.
Fran
I know.
Ria
And they really do some crazy things with that stuff now, too. Who used to wear. Was it Angelina Jolie or so who.
Isabel Klee
Oh, the violin.
Ria
Used to wear the vial of blood, like, around their neck.
Fran
Who did that?
Ria
Well, that was.
Fran
And Billy. But that was their own blood. No, I know.
Ria
I know.
Fran
It wasn't a dog. They were wearing each other's blood.
Ria
I'm saying it's humans, but I'm saying,
Isabel Klee
like, oh, yeah, I'll do that level.
Fran
They were doing that with each other. I was like, a weird sex thing.
Isabel Klee
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ria
For sure. At Easter, my mother. I was like, yeah. You know, the. Their dog that my husband had growing up there was like, buddy's ashes are in my closet still.
Fran
It's like, why don't I. Yeah, hold on.
Ria
You hold on. But no, it's so true. And you talk about losing your.
Isabel Klee
Yes.
Ria
Childhood dog.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
As wellness. Which is where I was sobbing. Because we've all, like. We've all had that experience.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. I think that's a chapter that really gets everyone. My friend texted me a picture of her sobbing yesterday, and I was like, are you at the Ruby Chapter?
Ria
And she's like, yeah, exactly. I'. And you know what? I'm pretty worried for myself. Just life. Because, like, I don't know if it's luck or not. Cause, you know, I wasn't there at the time. But then, selfishly, I'm like, I'm glad. I was like. When my first childhood dog had died, I was 20, maybe 20, 19, 20, and I was not home.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
So I had missed that. It was my parents and my brother. And for some. For some reason, my poor brother, it's. He's always home. And then when we lost Flo last summer, I also was not home. But it was my parents and my brother.
Isabel Klee
Wow.
Ria
So I'm like, oh, my God. Now I'm like, eventually it's, yeah, it's gonna have to be me, because now you know, so.
Fran
But still.

Isabel Klee
I will say I lost my first foster dog in December. He was, like, a thousand years old, and he was blind and deaf and senile. Like, he would just stare. Stare at the corner and bark for, like, 23 hours out of the day. So we made the decision. I say we, but a lot of people think that I made this decision. I'm like, no. It was like a team of medical professionals to, like, you know, to put him down. And that was the first time that I had, like, held a dog as he passed. And it was so sad, but also one of the more, like, beautiful moments of my life and just seeing how loved he was and how calm he was, and he wasn't in any pain, and it was just, like, this profound. Like, I truly feel like it changed my perspective on life. And so I. I know that, like, when the time comes for Simon, it will ruin me. But I also know that there's this other aspect of it that, like, I got. I had the privilege of taking care of him for his entire life, and he never knew a day, you know, from the day that I adopted him, he never knew a day that he wasn't, like, completely loved and adored. And that is incredible. And, like, there's so much beauty in that and trying not to, like, hold on to the sadness. But the privilege of loving a dog, I think is really important.
Ria
It really is. It's such a. It's such a special bond. And you're talking about, like, you're not the one making these decisions sometimes.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
And it's so interesting because there is the world of, I mean, social media is so crazy. And oh yeah, every, like, like parents get shamed all the time for, for their children. Like when you become the people that want to become like mommy bloggers and then you have to deal with like all the comments of like, you're using the wrong stroller, like you're holding your baby wrong is like people screaming at you all the time. And I mean, I feel like you have had to deal with that in certain cases where like people are like, you're, you're mishandling this dog, like, blah, blah, blah. What do you do now to kind of like ignore? Because sometimes I see you clap back at people.
Isabel Klee
I'm like, yes, I clap back very. Like, it's few and far between. But I think I just try to stay like I, I am surrounded by so many professionals and so many smart people and like, you know, vets. And with Simon, I. He literally has like the best neurology team in the country at amc and Muddy Paws has like a certified trainer on staff. And it's like we. I'm surrounded by these people that I trust and I just always remember that like these random people commenting or making videos are just random people and like, they don't know the full. They take the context of like a 90 second video and like make an entire theory on it and it's just not true. And I think, you know, I believe so much in what I do and I believe in so, so much in like my morals and my ethics and my standards that I'm like, it truly does not faze me that much anymore. Sometimes I do like, hit my limit and I clap back more so that like, I just like explain it. I'm like, okay, you're saying this, but like, here's all the facts. Yeah, anytime I clap back, I try to come, come at it with like real hard facts because emotions don't like, get you very far in social media, unfortunately. So, yeah, I think I just like, I, I am so proud of the work that we've done and I'm so proud of Muddy Paws and like, just like the people that I'm surrounded by with. So I just try to stay grounded in that and trust them and be like, they know what's real and they know what is right. And like, with zero, I'm like, I have an entire like, medical staff who agrees that it's his time to Go like these people who are saying, like, just give him more time. Just give him more time. I'm like, that is unethical to let a dog suffer. So I'm going to trust the opinions of these people rather than these. So.
Ria
And you're the one living with the dog. Like the people online are seeing the one minute clips that you're putting out of him and you're like, guys, you're not, you're not getting the full story here. I mean, it's like anything. Everyone, so many people online think that there's like a universal book of rules that like applies to all dogs. And it's just like not the case even to the simplest things of like, oh my, that dog's in a crate. There's no bed. Like, they're cold. Like, it's like, it's okay. Well, they chew through everything. So it's like always the craziest stuff.
Isabel Klee
And I always find too, that the people who have the most to say don't do anything. Yeah, yeah.
Fran
So like, they don't even have a dog.
Isabel Klee
They don't even have a dog. They've never foster. So actually I was just in Turks and Caicos doing a rescue trip a few weeks ago. It was, it was amazing. But the woman who ran that rescue said this line that I keep saying in my head and it just like resonated so deeply with me that I would rather do and be judged than do nothing and judge. And I was like, yes, like, that's exactly so true.
Fran
Which kind of sums up the Internet.
Isabel Klee
Yes. At least I'm doing something. And maybe I don't do it. It perfectly and maybe I don't like, show up the way that you want me to. But like, I am not sitting here commenting on people's videos being an. Like, that's.
Fran
And maybe you're not documenting every single thing.
Isabel Klee
Yeah.
Fran
That could possibly be done. Like, there's a lot of work that people are doing behind the scenes that they're not documenting. Yeah.
Isabel Klee
1,000%.
Ria
There really is. Well, as well. I love everything that you're doing. I love the work you do on social media. I feel like you use your platform in such a great way. Cause people like. And I love it. Cause I feel like you get awarded for it. You use your platform in a great way and then the followers go up and you get the support. And I'm like, yes, good. We are. This is so great going on these trips and taking care of these dogs and fostering all these things. So I'm so happy that everyone's gonna be able to read the book Once again. Dogs, Boys and Other Things I've Cried about will be out April 28th.
Fran
Yes.
Ria
Which is. It's. So we're getting to talk to you a little bit earlier than when the release is, But I've been like. People have been loving it. I've been seeing you sharing it, and it's such a. You're really opening yourself up to everybody. So everyone appreciates that.
Isabel Klee
Yeah. Good luck with that.
Fran
Yeah. Yeah. Right, right.
Ria
I mean, here's the thing. It's like, you think that, but then it's like you get a whole different side. And I love, like, I loved your writing. I love the structure of it. I thought it was a really, like, really, really well done memoir. So I'm just really excited for everybody to read it and then, honestly, really excited to watch a TV show.
Isabel Klee
Like, I know.
Fran
I mean, seriously, just a huge congratulations for everything. Massive, massive success. And being able to fulfill all of those dreams while also using your platform in that way is just incredible. And very excited for your wedding and seeing. Seeing all your friends stay in cabins, and the whole thing sounds so fun.
Ria
I'm excited for Mr. Isabel to become Mr. Isabel.
Isabel Klee
Oh, officially Mr. Isabel.
Fran
I know.
Isabel Klee
Thank you guys so much for having me.
Ria
Thank you so much.
Fran
All right, that wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. Thank you so much for watching and listening. We love you guys so very much. We'll talk to you on Wednesday. Smooches yeah. Chicks in the Office.
Noah
Long time listener, first time caller. Look at the charts, who does it
Fran
the best two chicks getting paid in
Noah
reality checks you can find them at the gym it's not even a flex
Fran
