It was eventful. The fire alarm went off. We weren't sure if we were gonna even be able to eat there.

Thankfully, it was only a little bit of a detour.

[Fran]

Little detour. And my God, did Noah and I eat those blue cheese olives? So fast as the alarm was going off, we were like, oh, my God, what if we can't get back in? Shoving.

[Noah]

I almost thought about just chugging my. I'm like, we may never get back in here.

[Fran]

Right? You never know what's gonna happen. But.

[Rhiann]

But my. The food was just fantastic. Everything we had, really so delicious. Drinks were delicious. But the desserts were, like, the star of the show. I've really. I can't stop thinking about the dessert.

[Fran]

It was so good.

[Rhiann]

Oh, my God. They have an affogato that, like, it's not just, like, you know, you don't have to. With an avocado. Avocado. You pour the coffee in with the ice cream. And this Had a shaved ice, coffee flavored shaved ice on the top with the ice cream on the bottom. Oh, my. It was. I'm. I'm still thinking about. I've never seen anything like it. It was so good.

Was really good.

Honestly, something I've never seen before. Yeah. I couldn't stop thinking about before bed.

I was like, wow. Like a cheesecake with like an almond crust and a little cherry and an apple Danish.

[Fran]

Oh. Oh, my God. The apple Danish.

Danish, like the big apple Danish. I wish I would have taken eight of those home.

Just unbelievable.

Our waiter was so fun. It was just a great. It was a great dinner.

It's a beautiful space. Well decorated. Yeah. Very, you know, top nothing. You love when something has a lot of hype and then it lives up to the hype.

Nothing's better than you hear everyone ranting and raving about a restaurant and then you get to go and you're like, wow, you know what? Lived up to the hype. So it's a great. It's a great feeling because it is. It doesn't.

And you're a little disappointed. You build it up in your head, you know, especially in New York City.

[Fran]

Because a lot of the restaurants here, they get hyped up online and.

You can't get in. And it's a whole thing. And then you finally get to go and you're like, what the is the hype about?

[Rhiann]

Exactly. And I have a good feeling that that was. That really did live up to the hype.

[Fran]

For sure. It did. We're hitting. We're like on a hot streak this week with that. We are, we are.

[Rhiann]

We are going to it to another hot spot on. On Friday night that neither of us have been to either now.

[Fran]

And this is like, can we say.

[Rhiann]

Yeah, we can say we're going to. For Charles, which we've never been to. It's hyped as one of the, you know, one, if not the best burger.

In New York.

We're on quite the food tour.

Yeah. We're just a couple of foodies. Yeah, we, you know, a couple of food.

We always joke around, love some good eating with security. Mike, who is the head of security at Barcelona, you've probably seen him before. If you pay attention to Barcelona things with Dave or the beach house, whatever. And you know, he's got to worry about a lot of things when he's on the road with people.

With us it's like one of these two eating next.

It's like, where are we driving them to exactly?

[Rhiann]

What restaurant are they going after a show? He's like, all right, so what are we hitting? Yeah, like. Or, like, the day before. He always knows when we get. When we're getting into the city. Day before. It's like, well, we have a dinner reservation. That's really the only thing we're like.

[Fran]

We're trying to hit all that food on.

[Rhiann]

He's worried about.

[Fran]

He's worried about people going to bars and, you know, keeping a hold of them. We're like, no, no, no, no. We're like, give us the best cuisine.

In this place, a delicious meal, and, like, one stiff drink.

[Fran]

Yes. And we're good to go.

And we're good to go. So. Yeah, I'm really excited for that too. I'm hungry just thinking about it. Chills. Seriously. And then we're off on Sunday to Singapore.

Now I know what time Noah had the flight time. Wrong. We just realized about 15 minutes ago he thought we were taking off at night, and it's not at night, so.

It's not. I was talking about the morning, and I was like, oh, I'm talking about what meals I'm gonna pack. Cause I'm like, oh, it's the morning. Like, when we get on the plane. Yeah, when we get on the plane. What meals? There's no breakfast options. It's all, you know, lunch and dinner options. But it's the morning. And he. Noah just stared into my soul. Blank stare. He's like, what do you mean it's at night? I said, no, it's not. It is quite the opposite. And he was just stunned for, like, 10 minutes.

Unreal. If Noah just.

[Fran]

No, he would have just not been on the flight. He. He would have just missed the flight.

[Rhiann]

Yeah, A full. And I. And then I was thinking, like, how did you. You weren't doing any of the math. Like, you know what time?

[Noah]

I was trying to do the math, but then I'm like, you know what? I must just be adding it wrong.

[Rhiann]

It's imp. Like, it would be impossible to make it. And I knew something was Singapore at that time.

[Fran]

I knew something was ay. When you kept saying, we're leaving Sunday night. And I was like, oh, maybe he's just, like, trying to throw people off.

[Rhiann]

Yeah.

And then I realized, oh, no, he actually did. It's crazy.

[Noah]

You never, like, corrected me or asked me, like, why are you saying Sunday night?

[Rhiann]

I didn' hear him say Sunday night.

[Fran]

He did it on the last podcast Sunday night. And I was like, oh, maybe he doesn't want to tell people we're leaving in the morning.

[Noah]

No, that's why when you said, oh, I'm gonna get up at 4am Tire myself out, I'm like, damn, you really want to be tired. You're just gonna spend all. You're gonna be up from 4 till we get on the flight at 9pm That's a lot. But I guess.

Well, I'm glad we figured this out now because.

Really bad. If we were. If you woke up at like 10am on Sunday and we're on a flight, we'd be texting.

Because another client of hers, who probably pays half of that or even a third, was upset about something else. And she was like, is that true? I'm like, yes, it's true. And the reason.

Let me tell you what it is. It was a story. There was a movie about. And this girl played a sibling to someone with down syndrome, and the movie is about down syndrome. And they asked her something about down syndrome, and she got nervous and upset, and they were like, why'd you ask her about that? And it's like, because that's what the movie's about. And the subject matter, like, why wouldn't they. Why are you upset about. This is the dumbest thing that sounds dumb.

You know, I think there's mixed reaction to what happened this week, but now with TikTok having such a platform on Dancing with the Stars now and really having a huge say, you're gonna get some funky voting outcomes. Like, I think that's what's just gonna happen now. It is really so important to, like, be on there. And. And that's how I think Dancing with the Stars even had a resurgence, was because people just, like, started watching on. On TikTok a ton. But before we get into who was voted out, I want to talk about the performances in general.

I watched Whitney and Mark's samba.

But the show is having such a resurgence that, like, the discourse from this younger generation of watching Dancing with the Stars, it's like, we're a little bit confused on what Dancing with the Stars is and, like, what. It's like, we have this younger generation now. I've seen all these videos of girls being like, isn't Dancing with the Stars really about the journey and trying and the effort? Like, Andy should get awarded for putting in the effort and, like, all. And then you get the people who are like, no, it should be based on, like, scoring and the dances and all this. And, like, it's. It's very interesting to see this all go down and how people talk about it now because it's gone down to, like, well, Andy loves the show and, you know, well, whatever. You know, Lauren got sent home, so they were like. And Lauren isn't putting in the effort, and therefore we're not voting for her. But we're also getting judges that are giving Andy and Lauren the exact same scores, which doesn't.

And I think Carrie Ann said that this past week, she was like, this group of dancers on this season is kind of split into two groups. Like, you have the true beginners, and then you have people who have dance background that are, like, only getting better. I mean, Alex Earl is fantastic.

I think she surprised me.

Because most of the times you get a celebrity saying, by the way, we're getting a divorce. It's all hammered out, and the judgment has come down. That's what normally happens, especially with two A listers. No one ever says separation. The last person that said separation was Hugh Jackman, but he was seeing Sutton Foster.

Here's a jam, and I'm gonna go both sides of the fence. First of all, Nicole Kidman went through this with Tom Cruise. I remember her talking about. You know, she didn't really talk about it, but one time she said, you know, they had had sex, like, the week before. So, like, she was blindsided by the divorce. And I believe that she was probably blindsided by this separation.

And then that's when she was like, actually, let me double down and help you out. Let me go ahead and get this divorce. I think it's interesting when two A listers get married, and one person's career, especially if it's the woman, continues to go this way. It causes a lot of stress in a relationship. And I know what the conversations were whenever they first got together. She was 38 years old. Women of a certain age in Hollywood don't work. This is my last two years. I'm gonna settle down and be a mom. Yada, yada, yada. And then at some point in her 40s, she hit it harder than she's ever hit it before. And I think she went with, you know what? I'm gonna strike while the iron's hot. And the iron just stayed hot. And I think it caused a little bit of a riff in their relationship.

And did you see him call her out about it? How funny was that?

And there are. I've been in these confessional rooms. There is at least seven people.

Like, one, your hair and makeup team's there. Two, there's a producer. There's a cameraman. There's a sound person. There is a first ad. There is an assistant.

There's a story editor. There are eight motherfucking people sitting behind there and not one gay. There's no gays in Salt Lake City. Because I would have been like, lisa, can we talk first? Yeah, yeah, Talk for one second.

Either that or they were setting her up.

Like, if I'm doing anything, I'm looking in the mirror or my phone a billion times before I get on the camera. She didn't look at herself and go, you know why?

The tea was hot. She was ready. Housewives get so ready to tell their side story that they are like, just get me in that chair. Because they know that the other person's doing the same thing, so they want to tell their side of the story.

Is kind of one of the craziest parts of reality to you.

Have you sat in with Kyle doing it?

[Justin Sylvester]

Oh, my God. The first two seasons. So I worked with Kyle. Season one, two, three, a little bit of four, and all of five. They would do the confessionals at the house.

[Fran]

Yes.

[Justin Sylvester]

So in Beverly Hills, it used to be all at the houses. So they would come set up in the morning, and they would sit with her for three or four hours. And. And it was interesting to hear what was going on because I could put. I have a story head. I could put the story together from upstairs. So I always knew where they were gonna go with the story. I could tell you everything that was gonna happen in the season because I can hear how they would ask her questions.

[Fran]

Yeah, that's a long day, too. Just recounting anything you've ever did for the past couple months that they've been filming.

[Justin Sylvester]

The reunion's the worst.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Justin Sylvester]

Like, the reunion is one of the hardest things to do in television history if you are a person on that couch, because not only did you live it, you had to rewatch it, and you got to hear what they said in confessionals. And they've done press and they've been Doing things on Twitter and TikTok and Instagram. So when you get there, you have 14 to 16 hours to finally get it all out. And everybody now knows what the audience thinks of them. So they're going with, okay, the audience thinks I'm a bitch because of this. I have to turn this around. So it's like. It's insane. It's crazy.

[Fran]

And it's so long too. You know, everyone always says it's all day long and then we only see like an hour or two of it. And you're just like, I want the unedited.

[Justin Sylvester]

I know, right?

[Fran]

Can you just do a live stream?

[Justin Sylvester]

I think they'll probably. I think at some point in life they will probably give you the unedited.

Versions of a lot of those.

Yeah, I think you'll get a lot of unedited stuff, but it's a lot. But now what they do, I don't know who fucked this up for everybody, but it used to be open so like hair and makeup and assistants could go in and listen to everything. There was that moment one time where in New Jersey, Teresa's hairstylist said something to Theresa. And you remember they were fighting backstage. Cause he was listening over the monitor. So then they were like, fuck it. No more. No monitors, no nothing. Like, you can't even.
