Fran

Ria
What's up everyone?
Dylan Efron
It's chicks in the office with Ria and Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. And Friday energy we are giving you indeed. We have two great interviews on today's episode one with the one and only Dylan Efron. Yeah, everybody's excited for that one. And of course we have Grant the bachelor as well. We are, we are nearing the end of the season of the Bachelor. Kind of crazy by the way, flew by fast season. So we talked to Grant all about his season with the woman tell all coming up tonight. So that is a great episode built for Friday energy on a Monday. But first, we are back. We are back from vacation. How are we feeling?
Ria
Great.
Dylan Efron
What a lovely time.
Ria
I'd say great. I'm lying through my teeth. No, no. Veyouge was awesome being home, you know, right. Got vacation hangover.
Dylan Efron
We do big time major and the.
Ria
Clocks decided to spring forward on us.
Dylan Efron
Right? But I will say this, leaving a destination like Turks and Caicos and coming home to it. The sun setting later and yeah, no, definitely warmer is really a nice touch.
Ria
No, that is nice for sure. That is nice for sure. But I'm a little jealous that it happened Saturday night. So now the sunsets there are happening a little bit later.
Dylan Efron
You know, we're missing the sunsets, we're.
Ria
Missing the longer sun on the. On the beach we're missing now. But no, we had an absolutely amazing time. We stayed at the Weimara. Gorgeous. Shout out Heather McMahon.
Dylan Efron
Shout out Heather McMahon. Our queen. I fucking love her so much. But the way this came to be, we, you know, Fran was like, man, like, I really want to go to Turks and Caicos. Should we go? And I was like, fuck it, let's go. And we had remembered that Heather, every.
Ria
Time we see her, I've been dying to go. I said it to her face in the last interview. I want to go.
Dylan Efron
Every time we see Heather, she talks about the Weimara in Turks and Caicos. And last time we saw Heather, she was like, you guys let me know if you wanna go. Yeah, you let me know if you wanna go. And so we let Heather know, short notice, only in January.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And we made it happen.
Ria
Yeah, it was amazing. Really. Just. The resort was beautiful. Water was stunning. We had some amazing meals.
Dylan Efron
We had some fucking outstanding meals.
Ria
Really good food.
Dylan Efron
Really, really good food. Yeah, I mean, the island itself is. We were having, like, Fiji flashbacks because the water in Turks and Caicos is so blue.
Ria
So blue. And then we were like turquoise.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. We were like, well, you know, if you want to see some really blue water, you could travel only three hours in Turkic Caicos. You don't got to go 16 hours to Fiji.
Ria
Right, right. That was for real. That's. That is so true. I mean, we. We got to cross off a lot of fun things. Did a boat day. We saw Noah's Ark, which is, you know, very popular spot, Drake's hot spot, that if you're lucky enough, you would get to see Drake there. We did not.
Dylan Efron
No, we didn't.
Ria
We did not.
Dylan Efron
But people talk.
Ria
My God, was there a good hot dog, chicken fingers there?
Dylan Efron
These chicken fingers were, like, some of the best we've ever had. But Noah's Ark is a bar in the middle of the ocean in Turksicaco.
Ria
It's just like a floating dock dock.
Dylan Efron
With a bar and amazing food and a kitchen somewhere.
Ria
The food, I don't know where that food came from, but it was fantastic. It was so good.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. So we took a boat to the. To the bar in the middle of the ocean and we spent some solid beach hours. Yeah, we clocked some good hours on the beach from like 10am to 6pm till sunset.
Ria
Guys. Rhea was reading a book that at one point she was so into. I looked up from my chair. She brought the book into the ocean with her. She was standing in the ocean reading the book, submerged up to her hips with the book Alias. I looked at Matt, I went, oh, my God. She brought the book into the ocean. I didn't say. He was like, she must really be liking this book.
Dylan Efron
I didn't say a word to anybody. I just got up.
Ria
No, you just got up and took.
Dylan Efron
The book with you because there was a twist in this book.
Ria
Yeah. You were reading the Housemaid, by the way.
Dylan Efron
Yes, I was reading the Housemaid, which is the movie that Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Skellner.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
Are doing.
Ria
That's the new. The new Sydney Sweeney press move is.
Dylan Efron
The new PR Move with Brandon and him tossing her around. So I'm reading this book. I thought it was good. And, you know, I thought it was pretty predictable in the beginning, but still good. I was enjoying it, and it was interesting and a good thrill. But then it gets to a point where there's a twist, and I literally had to remove myself from everybody else and go read this twist in the ocean. I was like, so, you know when you're reading a book and you don't like to think too far ahead because then it kind of spoils. Then kind of spoil it for yourself a little bit.
Ria
So there's people out there that, like, read the last page of the book.
Dylan Efron
Before they finish the book.
Ria
Crazy.
Dylan Efron
You could have probably. If you put the book down and thought really hard about what this twist was gonna be, you probably could figure it out. But I wasn't thinking that hard about it. So when it came across my desk, I had to go take a little walk into the ocean and just read it all in there. But I was captivated. So I had to immerse myself, literally and physically. Yeah. Into the. Into the ocean. But no, it was so incredible. So relaxing. Really was mixed with a lot of fun. Yeah, we hit the casino a couple times.
Ria
Lost money.
Dylan Efron
Yes, yes.
Ria
Casinos. I. It's. It's hit or miss. Hit or miss.
Dylan Efron
I was having a pretty good time.
Grant Ellis
That is what they were.
Ria
Literally the definition of casino as a hit or miss.
Dylan Efron
I had a pretty good time at the casino. I was on a nice run with roulette.
Ria
I will say, we haven't been in many casinos together. I got a real good sense of what Casino Ria is like. And you clearly, like. It's like, ah, 20 more dollars. Come on, Come on.
Dylan Efron
Right, right, right. Yeah, yeah.
Ria
There were some times I was like, she's not gonna. She's not gonna stop.
Dylan Efron
No, I know. And that is why I don't enter casinos often. It's really vacation. Ria is a casino Ria. Um. But, yeah, all of us walked. The last time we went to the casino, all four of us walked out. Like, ah, right. We probably could have.
Matt
Yeah.
Ria
We could have left. Maybe we got some losses there.
Dylan Efron
We probably could have not shown up to the casino. Yeah.
Ria
Yep, yep, yep. But no, it was so much fun.
Dylan Efron
It really was a blast. I mean, the food was just.
Ria
Oh, Thursday night we had that meal was unbelievable.
Dylan Efron
Thursday and Saturday we went to two places in case people are going tricks. In case Keiko's checking it out. Gotta go to Infinity.
Ria
Went to Infinity. We went to Marine Room. And we went to Vita Rock House. And we went Rock House, by the way, just a beautiful resort, like, stunning. And Deconk Shack.
Dylan Efron
Da Conch Shack.
Ria
Over the Wednesday night party.
Dylan Efron
We went to Deconk Shack on Wednesday night and somehow got in there. Because the way they talk about this place is that you cannot.
Ria
Wednesday night, party night.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, Wednesday night. There's live music.
Ria
Fire.
Dylan Efron
There's fire. The fact that we saw somebody eating fire twice in one week.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I had a moment where I was like, okay, you know, this is. This is a lot.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
This is awesome. Why am.
Ria
Like, it's. It's sick.
Dylan Efron
But I had a moment. Like, this is incredible. Like, we've really experienced some outstanding things in the past two weeks.
Ria
Yep. Absolutely.
Dylan Efron
It was just like, I couldn't be more grateful in that moment. Wow. This is. This is incredible.
Ria
Can't believe this is my life.
Dylan Efron
No.
Ria
By the way, we just planned this entire episode. Like, we're sitting here. We were talking about everything we were going to talk about in today's episode. Neither of us once. Now, I just remembered right in this second, Jonas Kahn. Oh, yeah. Just like we were about to. We were about to put out an entire episode and not mention Jonas Kahn.
Dylan Efron
Well, okay, so enough about our vacation, which was 10 out of 10.
Ria
Last thing I want to say about the vacation, Thursday night, guys, I couldn't believe my eyes. I look out in the distance, there's this big orange fireball on the horizon. I'm like, what the heck is that? We're watching. We're watching it, and then we're kind of going back to our dinner. And then we see the sparks, like, the lights that it's like, I don't even know. I mean, all I can describe is a rock. I mean, a rocket exploded. It was the SpaceX launch, and I couldn't believe we saw the whole thing fall apart from what's happening. Oh, my God.
Grant Ellis
Because I saw your story, and I'm like, wait, is that what that was?
Dylan Efron
Literally, I couldn't believe it. And watching Fran's reaction to this was incredible because we saw this happen. And Fran's like, guys, what is that? Is that fireworks? They're just staying in the sky. And we're like, there's no way that could be fireworks. And then we hear the waitress tell the other table, oh, that's spot. SpaceX. And we were like, what? SpaceX? Fran starts doing her digging. Scientist Fran finds out all the information and, you know, clarifies it for all of us. Gave us a nice little lesson on what just happened.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And it was incredible that we saw it happen in front of our eyes.
Ria
And then I was looking at it more this week, too. It was crazy that it, like, really disturbed flights in Florida. People had. Flights were canceled or delayed and things in South Florida because of debris falling from the sky from the rocket. I guess this happened not that long ago also with SpaceX. And debris, like, washed up on the beach in Turks and Caicos. And so, like, our. Our wagers, like, yes, the rockets again, SpaceX. I was like, oh, my God, that was crazy.
Dylan Efron
Insane.
Ria
I could. I was nerding out. I couldn't stop talking about it. I can't believe we just saw that.
Dylan Efron
No, it was incredible.
Ria
It was.
Dylan Efron
Fran's reaction was the. Just.
Ria
I just kept bringing it up at the dinner table, like we're talking about. We'd move on to other subjects and I would bring it back to the rock.
Dylan Efron
No, it was amazing, though, because it's like, oh, I need to learn the information about what's happening here.
Ria
No, that was.
Dylan Efron
We all truly had such a fantastic time together. I mean, just a 10 out of 10 vacation. Like, yeah, the last day, we were like, this is so incredibly sad that we are wrapping this up.
Ria
But it was one of my. One of my sadder departures from a vacation. I mean, we've had plenty. But this was.
Dylan Efron
This one there. This one was really sad because the four of us really made the most of every second.
Ria
It was like we soaked it all.
Dylan Efron
In in and made it for what it's worth. So 10 out of 10. But huge thing that happened last week, which it was kind of quick. It was kind of quick moving with Jonas Kahn. So we talk about Jonas Kahn on this podcast and we put out that video.
Ria
Begged. I got on my hands, begged.
Dylan Efron
Manager Rhea came out, you know, a little bit of threatening. Whatever.
Ria
Whatever happened to happen. Yep.
Dylan Efron
And we move along with our day and Jonah's management reaches out to, you know, the team here at Barstool, and they're talking about, you know, having us involved. And Jonah's kind in some way. Oh, maybe you guys do a little live Podcast at the bar. You know, something small. You know, maybe you have somebody on. I don't know if the brothers, you know, who know they're busy that day. Who knows what's to happen? And then it escalates into us being on the sky stage at Jodascon, basically hosting each individual event on the sky stage at Jonascon. Talking with Frankie Jonas, talking with Big Rob, talking with the brothers themselves, entertaining the fans, doing guest trivia, doing fan trivia. Jonas Brothers trivia.
Ria
It's gonna be really fun.
Grant Ellis
All American Rejects.
Dylan Efron
All American Rejects. Jay Shetty. We're putting on Extravaganza, and we are on the main stage of Jonascon. Because I've had some friends, some ladies reach out and say, well, where can we find you ladies? We'll be on the main stage. We'll be on the sky stage. And so this was just an incredible, like, really whirlwind. Because this hat. We had the call with the team a day before we left for vacation last week. We were not 100% sure when they were announcing whether it was gonna be Wednesday, where we're gonna put it on the podcast on Wednesday. We're gonna wait till Monday. The announcement came out on Thursday.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And it just was like, whoa. You know, trying to take it in.
Ria
It really.
Dylan Efron
No words. It's. It's such an incredible experience, and we're honored that we get to be a part of it.
Ria
No, I really had a LeBron LeBron Me moment on the beach. Like, smiling through it all. Can't believe it's my life, like, being like, oh, my God, it's. It's so special. It means so much. I thank you guys all. So many kind messages. So many people were like, I'm so. Like, I. I know. Fran's so happy. I'm so happy. I really. I really, really am. I just do not take that for granted at all. I like us putting that video out there. Obviously gets noticed by you guys, but you are the ones that tag them, repost it, share it. And that got it into really, you know, more. More. More eyeballs on it that got the attention on it. And to have this meeting and talk to them and talk with the management guys. I was geeking out. Little inside baseball. I was geeking out. Cause Garbo was in the meeting, and I played it really cool.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, you did.
Ria
And I hope he doesn't listen to this and think, oh, my God, that's. She was geeking out at that meeting.
Dylan Efron
He might, but that's okay.
Ria
I mean, if you're An OG fan. Like, they know he knows. I know that. I know, right?
Dylan Efron
You know, we know.
Ria
You know I know that he knows.
Dylan Efron
I mean, we really do have the best listeners in the world. World truly the most supportive listeners always behind our backs. One million, 1,000%. Anytime that we are like, oh my God, please, we want to do something, we have our listeners jump in and be like, you better let the chicks in the office in or we will cause a fit. Which is honestly.
Ria
Mouths don't get fed.
Dylan Efron
That is true. The most loyal, most supportive, the best ladies in the world that are always behind us and have our back. So we couldn't be more thankful for you guys because we wouldn't be able to do a lot of the things that we get to do without our listeners. That's a fact. We wouldn't be able to do really anything without our listeners. So we love you guys so much. Thank you guys so much because this is truly an experience of a lifetime and I'm so excited for the event itself. You know, we. We really get to use our brains and come up with some creative things to do at Jonascon. So we'll have some surprises there. Hopefully we get to see a lot of your beautiful faces there. We do have some really cool merch that we're going to make that will be online after the event as well. So this whole thing is just. Is super incredible.
Ria
Yeah, I think that it's, it's just an amazing full circle Jonas KAHN to celebrate 20 years and getting to be a part of that and talking to them and talking to other people that are, you know, have been in their lives for so long and having these experiences and seeing all the fans and having really, you know, I feel like I am on both sides of it, which is really so cool. Is like get to be on stage and have these moments and talk and interact with the crowds and everything. Cause I would have also been on the other side of it. Like I was. I'm getting the emails too. Like, don't forget to register. Cause I was like I had signed up immediately when it first. When it first came out. So it's. It's amazing. I know that there, there are two sessions. I think. I know, I know some people were like, well, what part of you. It's like where there's two sessions, we'll be at both on the sky stage at both. And there's also Jonas beach that's going on as well. The guys are bouncing back and forth, making sure everybody gets to, to see them and watch them and Everything. So it's gonna be really fun. They're doing a lot of cool things. They really, like, released the whole list. And it is at the American Dream Mall. And that mall has a lot going on in there.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, there is.
Ria
It really. It really does. So it's just. It's really. It's cool, like what they're turning everything into in the mall and getting to. Getting to be a part of it. I'm so excited.
Dylan Efron
It's so cool.
Ria
Oh, my God. It's gonna be so much fun. I am already, like, really gonna have to put my big girl pants on.
Dylan Efron
No, you're gonna do amazing. You're a professional. But also dreams coming true as well. It's really. It's. It's so amazing. And we couldn't be more excited and thankful to the Jonas team for including us. Yeah, seriously, it's gonna be just absolutely incredible. So we'll keep everybody filled in once we get more information around that. And we will be doing live podcast there. So.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
What we record there will be released the next day on Monday for our listeners who maybe cannot go. We'll be able to watch it all. We'll. We'll record it all. We'll give you our best in there, and we'll release that on Monday. So that is super, super cool. Super happy for you. Franny. Cannot wait to see you.
Ria
Elementary Jonas Khan, here we come, baby.
Dylan Efron
Well, it's so funny because I've talked about this before, but I have. My neighbor, my next door neighbors that I grew up with are right up there with Fran as like, the biggest Jonas Bellers fans that I know. Like, truly the biggest. Like I said, right up there with Hugh and my mom and their mom, whatever, they were talking and they were laughing and they were like, we always knew Maria was, you know, hanging out with you guys too much. And I was like, I mean, I wasn't keeping it a secret. I literally wrote on my wall, I heart the Jonas Brothers, like, in small letters next to, like, my Dylan Sprouse poster and like, whatever. But it is just so weird to think about your younger self now thinking about these moments, like, especially for you, that, you know, your young, like your younger self dreamed of the moments of, like, that you would meet. Yeah, Nick Jonas and the Jonas Brothers. And then. No, I got actually being a part of it.
Ria
Yeah, I got super. I got super emo looking at photo, honestly, just like Bama, like, looking at photos on Thursday night of just old pictures, being at concerts. Like, you know, 2008, 2009 was really, when I was like old enough to be at shows by myself, kind of like that, it was like, oh, our parents would like drop us off, drop you off, you know, pick us up. And having those moments or thinking about how like I. You would go to different events or when Nick was on Broadway, wait out by the stage, have him sign my play. Like all these things that just like have lined up and moments that have happened have just been so exciting and things that, you know, even just the progress of things that we've already gotten to do with them and seeing that it comes to some, like, big build up that we get to be a part of. Jonas Khan is so cool.
Dylan Efron
It's, it's. Don't you wish you can go back and like, tell your younger self, like, you're gonna be on stage at Jonascon?
Ria
Yeah, like, what would you like?
Dylan Efron
Oh, my God.
Ria
No, no, my younger sel would be like, as Nick's wife.
Dylan Efron
Well, of course you're gonna be there.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
You're gonna be married to.
Ria
Well, I mean, we're married, so obviously I'm there.
Dylan Efron
No, that's so funny. I mean, very funny story that Mare, Kim and Kel. Kim and Kel are my next door neighbors. And then Mare, their mom, when they went to a Jonas Brothers concert one time, right in the front, Mare caught Kevin's sweat towel and still has it. And she was like, like, we were talking about this and I'm like, I think I have to tell. I either have to bring this sweat towel with me or bring this up in some capacity and be like, by the way, there's a 50 year old woman out there that owns your sweat towel. Just so funny.
Ria
You bring it, put it like hang it in a frame. And I'm sure there's some memorabilia that will be hung up and bring it.
Dylan Efron
In a frame and have him sign the frame. That'd be epic. So. So.
Ria
Oh, my gosh. No, I can't wait. It is going to be. It is going to be such a blast. And I can't wait to see, like, all the fans and everybody's beautiful. Just so Jonas centric. We'll just be singing Jonas songs all day long, right? It's gonna be.
Dylan Efron
No, it's gonna be so much fun. If anybody has any ideas for what to wear, you know, should we wear. Should we wear Jonas merch? Should we wear regular outfits? Like, let us know what you think. Because I know we started thinking about that a little bit and I asked Fran. I'm like, fran, you gotta break out an og Shirt.
Ria
My problem is, is I just went through my whole closet. I did a whole clean out and I mean, I would never throw it away. I have it all. It's just now packed away in a different location to kind of be used as. I just don't have the space for it in my apartment. But, like, I'll always hold on to those. Those early concert tees. Oh, my God. I was going through. I was dying. The girls were laughing because I was like, oh, keep, keep, must keep, keep, keep. I was like, I understand. Maybe they don't fit here, but I have other places for them to go.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, keep.
Ria
It's like my, my Nick Jonas in the administration. Ladies fit. V neck.
Dylan Efron
Oh, my God.
Ria
Adult, small, slim fit. I was like, keep wearing as a crop top. Absolutely keep. Oh, it's very funny. Obviously I'm holding on to those items and we'll have them forever, but. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I'm. I go back and forth, right. Of like, what. I'm sure merch always plays, of course. But we could probably do like a cool outfit. Yeah, yeah, Right.
Dylan Efron
Give it. Let us know. Let us know what our ladies think, what we should wear. Because we're going back and forth between merch and cool outfit. But Fran, I'm so excited for you. Like, you. It's like really just. Must be like a. Just a. It's wild, a weird feeling, but also incredible at the same time.
Ria
It's hard to process. Like, it's really hard to put it towards. It's hard to even. Like no verbal emotion can even really come to describe the. What the feeling is like, you know, if that makes any sense. It's like hard to put into words.
Dylan Efron
It does. I. I mean, I feel the same way just being able to do these incredible opportunities that it never feels real, it never gets old, and we never take it for granted. Every single time something like this happens, we're like, us what? Like it really is, you know, And I. And I've made fun of that before. Like, when I talk about people getting not. I just mentioned this. Like, when people get nominated for awards, I'm like, don't be shocked, you know, don't be shocked that you were whatever. But we had that moment. You know, we've been doing this for, you know, seven years, but still when we get to do cool things like this, I'm like, what us? Like, it is just so. It's so crazy. And we couldn't be more thankful for the listeners for making it happen. So we'll see you guys.
Ria
See you at Jonas con, baby.
Dylan Efron
You at Jonas con. Super pumped up for what we have in store. So let's get into the rest of the episode. We are going to be talking about Harry Styles. Harry Styles.
Ria
Oh, my God.
Dylan Efron
I know, because I'm so excited about this. He is potentially locking in some dates at the Sphere in Vegas. I will be there if it happens. So please, we really need more information on that. The summer I turned pretty last season will air this summer. Super exciting. Kylie and Timothy, you know, at the tennis tournament in Palm Springs Club Chalamet not none too pleased. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are doing a little press tour for another simple favor. And it is quite awkward, as you can imagine. And we have the weekly watch report and two fantastic interviews with Dylan Efron and Grant the bachelor. So let's get into it. Making it in time for McDonald's breakfast is one of the best feelings. You're like, oh, my gosh, I made it. I'm not sweating the clock. Classic, you know, big daddy throwback. That movie misses the McDonald's breakfast. You don't want to be that person. You want to make it in time for McDonald's breakfast. Especially a rough. Maybe it's a weekend, you know, Saturday or Sunday, you wake up, maybe you had a night out, maybe you stayed in, but you're really craving something yummy and delicious and you want the McDonald's breakfast. You wake up, you order it in time. Nothing better. My personal favorite, McGriddle. Some hash browns, some hotcakes, a hi C. I call that a perfect McDonald's breakfast, but there are so many different options. You can also get a McMuffin. You can get a make a little breakfast top taco with the big breakfast. You can do my hack, which is putting the hash brown on the McGriddle, or you can put it on a McMuffin, whichever you prefer. But the opportunities are endless with McDonald's breakfast. My personal favorite and breakfast. We all know it always comes first, so don't miss out on starting your day with a beautiful, delicious McDonald's breakfast. Wake up. It is time for McDonald's breakfast. This is super, super exciting news. It looks like Harry Styles is close to locking in 36 shows at the Sphere in Vegas, which would be the time that I would go to the sphere of Vegas. I would do anything to make this happen. This is such an incredible thing for Harry Styles fans to experience the luxury of having this man potentially perform 36 shows at the Sphere. And this is great because it's not like it's a part of a tour. You know, he's finished his tour. This would be a nice little scramble.
Ria
Of all his residency.
Dylan Efron
A residency at the Sphere. Like, this is so incredible. Please, Harry Styles, make this happen. I think, who wouldn't want to go see Harry Styles at the Spear?
Ria
I. Yeah, it will be. I'm already, like, stressed thinking about how to get tickets. I'm already worried about 35 shows. It's almost not enough.
Dylan Efron
I got chills when I first read this news. I thought, what an incredible thing because he just went on this long tour. I mean, 36 shows, right. It seems like a lot in theory is probably, you know, not even enough for all his fans to be able to attend.
Ria
35. 34 up to 35.
Dylan Efron
Sorry, I keep saying 36, right?
Ria
Is that what I saw?
Grant Ellis
35 is like, what was the max? Yeah, the number that was being reported.
Ria
Okay. Hey, could be. Could be 45, but, you know, they might have to add a shit ton more. How many days do you think he could go? Oh, I like.
Grant Ellis
I feel like he could do.
Ria
He could do a hundred shows.
Grant Ellis
Because how many did Adele do, like, in Vegas? I mean, she was there for forever.
Ria
Yeah. Like, much, actually. I don't know what that.
Grant Ellis
I think she did, like, three a week or, like, did, like, the weekends.
Ria
Very intimate venue, I believe, where Adele.
Grant Ellis
Was really, it looked big. It wasn't at the, like, that theater in the MGM or, like, I don't.
Ria
Know, maybe just because the Sphere, like, seems ginormous, that it feels so much bigger than anything else. But it's not as big as. It's so much. It's so much screen.
Dylan Efron
The first Harry Styles concert I ever went to changed my life. And I really feel like this one would again, like, this just. I mean, why do I feel proud of him? Like, I'm like, oh, my God, you're getting a residency at the Sphere. I'm so happy for you.
Grant Ellis
Harry, what he would do with it, like, with the screen, with the visuals.
Ria
Oh.
Grant Ellis
But I feel like a lot of his performance is, like, running and, like, how much stage room is there to run around?
Dylan Efron
Like, maybe he wouldn't run so much performance.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah. But think about, like, he could put himself on video.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Ria
And, like, make, you know.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I would imagine Harry would have some amazing visuals.
Ria
Oh, they would come up with.
Dylan Efron
Maybe he would play some of his music videos.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
So the cool music video.
Ria
That would be very cool.
Dylan Efron
To adore you alongside video.
Ria
Yeah. To, like, play some on the. On the screens. Oh. I mean, that's gonna get me. I know we were joking not that long ago about how it's like, fish, Grateful Dead. That's like everything.
Dylan Efron
That's Backstreet Boys.
Ria
Yeah. Like, Harry Styles will get me to the Sphere, no questions asked. 100. I will. I'll spend the dollars.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. I mean, this is just so cool. I really just got chills all over my body when I read this, because literally, like you said, we had just been talking about how. What's. What would be the show. And, I mean, we talk about all the dream shows all the time. I mean, my dream show still is Miley Cyrus, like, doing, you know, the whole thing. Doing an era's Miley Cyrus. And if she did a residency at the Sphere, I'd be there. But Harry Styles at the Sphere. Oh, my God. I'm already on my way. Yeah, I'll camp outside right now.
Ria
Seriously. And I think he might be putting. I know there's a lot of rumors floating around about new music for him.
Grant Ellis
I was just thinking, it's been like, three years.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. I mean, he just ran a marathon.
Ria
In Japan in a great time. Also.
Dylan Efron
Congrats to him.
Ria
He can really do it all.
Dylan Efron
He's in great shape. Well, I mean, it probably prepares you when you're running around on stage for three years straight.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
You get that stamina up. You can probably. You're like, I'm gonna run this marathon easy.
Ria
Right? He's like, no training involved. I'm just gonna run the Tokyo Marathon.
Dylan Efron
Right. I'm just gonna hop on because I just ran across the. For how many shows now? I could just do this.
Ria
I can't imagine, like, imagine you're running a marathon. You're. You're. You're thriving. You're struggling. At the same time, you're doing all these things. You're feeling all the emotions you do when one runs a marathon. I don't know what those emotions are like. And you turn to your left, you.
Grant Ellis
Might be listening to Harry, and you.
Ria
Just see Harry Styles running beside you. I'd be like. Cause it's like nobody even really knew he was doing that. It was just like, bam. Here he is running the Tokyo Marathon.
Dylan Efron
You're listening to the Fine Line album.
Grant Ellis
Statistically speaking, someone in that marathon was listening to Harry Styles.
Ria
Oh, 100.
Grant Ellis
And they just see him.
Dylan Efron
They're. They're listening the Fine Line album from beginning to end to get them through the, you know, however many minutes. And then you see Harry running past you, and you probably feel like, you're hallucinating.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And you're like. Because you. You know, you're running so much, you're like, am I. Am I so out of breath that I'm hallucinating? Harry Styles running.
Ria
That guy just really look like Harry.
Dylan Efron
Styles, like, and then. And then you're off your game.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And Harry's far ahead of you in the marathon, and your game's all messed up because now you're wondering, is that Harry next to me? Yeah, you. Your. Your pace slows down. You're texting your friends. Harry running the marathon, very, very losing.
Ria
You've lost well, that you're just running after at that point.
Grant Ellis
I feel like people in their prime, like Harry, though, like, don't usually do a Vegas residency. Like, he's like. You know what I'm saying?
Dylan Efron
Yeah, yeah.
Ria
No, I. Historically, residencies are for.
Grant Ellis
Not, like, out of there. Like, Adele is still like.
Ria
Yeah, yeah. I mean, Adele is young.
Grant Ellis
No, she is. But it just seems like it's an interesting move. I would almost say, like, kind of random. I'm. I'm all right.
Ria
That's kind of what the Sphere was, like, made for.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
You know, I feel like the Sphere is sort of random.
Ria
Yeah, it certainly is.
Dylan Efron
Like, I don't think it necessarily is.
Ria
It doesn't feel Vegas.
Dylan Efron
Vegas residency.
Ria
Right. Like, you're not, like, going to a hotel or casino and going to watch.
Dylan Efron
Didn't John Summit just perform at the Sphere?
Grant Ellis
I think he did, yeah.
Ria
Oh, did he? So.
Dylan Efron
And John Summit's, like, in his peak right now.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
So, yeah, I think the Sphere is kind of made for.
Ria
Right. Like, whoever wants to play at the Sphere. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
Dylan Efron
Oh, that's so sick. So happy for you, Harry.
Ria
We went to a restaurant for Gia's birthday to Vinyl Steak, and they have, like, this massive collection of vinyls and everything. They play it in the restaurant. And because it was Gia's birthday, they're like, yo, you can pick an album to play. And she got to, like, look through everything that they have, and very. You know what you would expect, like, rock and roll vibes. Like, all. There was no Taylor Swift was what she had initially, but they did have Harry's house. And we, like, listen to the whole thing in the restaurant. It's just. It's so good. I'm. I really am looking forward to, hopefully, a new album this year. I would.
Dylan Efron
I am looking forward to a new album because Harry's house really was not my favorite at all.
Ria
Yeah. And I. I loved Harry's house.
Grant Ellis
I love all three.
Ria
Yeah. I mean, they're all. Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. I mean, the first one is also incredible too.
Ria
Yeah. So.
Dylan Efron
Well, congrats, Harry. We are rooting for this to be true. Because if it's not serious, imagine if.
Ria
They'Re like, nope, that was a lie. Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Be quite disappointed.
Ria
Yeah, that would suck.
Dylan Efron
Dreams crushed. Moving on. Somewhere I Turned Pretty. The last season will air this upcoming July. You know, the final wrap to this show. It was weird summer not having it air this past summer. I think people missed out on that. You know, no season of the summer I Turned Pretty. It feels like it was terrible. It feels like a strange summer now. This summer we will be getting the last season and excited to see where this ends up. Well, you know, the books. People know. People know. But I didn't read the book, so I don't know.
Ria
Yeah, I do know.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
And it makes me more excited to watch because, you know, when it just gets. It gets the anticipation and it was so nice and it was like year after year, you knew it was coming and it sucked that we didn't get it last summer because I'm just dying to get the. The end and the way it all. The way it all wraps up and the things that happen. So I'm very excited for the third season. My favorite lately, I just get chills every time in the place with like the Taylor Swift song plays and you're just like, oh, my God, it's coming back.
Dylan Efron
My favorite lately is the talks about how fucking crazy it is that she really is bouncing back between two brothers.
Ria
Two brothers? Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Like, yeah, you know, as a show, as a book, it's perfect. It's the perfect story. But people really love to put it.
Ria
Into, like, real life.
Dylan Efron
Things lately where it's like you sometimes it's just nice to pretend that things are. They're not real life. So we don't have to act like this is real life. People are like, it really is fucking crazy that she's just going back and forth between two brothers.
Ria
It is.
Dylan Efron
It's a crazy back and forth.
Ria
It definitely is like this, this wouldn't.
Dylan Efron
Fly in real life. But we don't have to act like it would because it's not. Not real life.
Ria
No. You'd be like, wait, I thought you loved him forever. Now you're gonna date his brother? Like, are you? Well, right.
Dylan Efron
No. People would seriously be checking in.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, for sure. For sure it would. But honestly, seeing the announcement again, really, like, I think I gotta. I gotta do a re.
Dylan Efron
Watch for sure.
Ria
And I watched the first season, like, multiple times because when it first came out, I watched it so fast, and I was like, like six months later, I watched it again. And before the second season came out, and then the second season only watched once, so I think I had to do one and two over again.
Dylan Efron
I remember the first season that I watched. I was like, this is the worst, best show I've ever seen. Like, I, I, it was. It was bad, but so good. And. And that's the kind of TV show that is right up my alley. Absolutely. Like, that is the perfect show. I do have to do a rewatch for the second, though, because I kind of, like, yeah, watched and sort of forgot about it.
Ria
But July's gotta come back. I can't wait for, like, a. I need, like, a trailer. I can't wait for them to release a trailer. A trailer drop Taylor Swift song. Do you think they're gonna use?
Dylan Efron
Ooh, so High School.
Ria
Ooh, that's a good one.
Dylan Efron
I know. Something fun and bubbly.
Ria
Yeah, yeah.
Dylan Efron
But if you were to go some of it moody. Yes. It would probably be a little bit more dramatic.
Ria
I'm trying to think. Sometimes they go. They go so moody. Maybe something from Midnights. I wonder if she, like. Or TTP day. Right. Like, really recent.
Grant Ellis
Maybe like, oh, what if it's a new one? Didn't she, like, maybe premiere?
Dylan Efron
Like, maybe she may make one just.
Grant Ellis
For the show, for the first season or something.
Ria
But Daddy, I love him. No.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
Honestly now it's kind of hilarious to think of the show and just in context of.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
Of Taylor Swift songs.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. Still, high school might be too bubbly, but maybe it'll be in the show.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
You never know.
Ria
Yeah. Oh, there's so many good ones.
Dylan Efron
But then when we get two, I'm.
Ria
Gonna get you back.
Dylan Efron
Ooh, are we gonna do the.
Grant Ellis
Is it.
Dylan Efron
What is it called? Sound mixing?
Ria
Oh, for what?
Dylan Efron
Like picking the songs. Oh, oh, what's it called? Like, what's the correct.
Grant Ellis
Wait, for picking songs.
Dylan Efron
Like, when you are putting songs into a show or a movie Score.
Ria
The score. Score.
Dylan Efron
Yes. That's the word. I was.
Ria
We're not mixing any sounds.
Dylan Efron
Sorry. I knew that that was the word.
Ria
Close.
Dylan Efron
I was just working on the delay right now. We are.
Ria
We are.
Dylan Efron
We absolutely are working on a delay. The score. Yeah, we would be picking the score. Moving on, Kylie and Timothy. Timothy rocking, no stache now. Kylie grabbing his face, giving him some smooches and Club Chalamet. None too pleased, guys. None too pleased. Now, for those that don't know. Club Chalamet. We always joke about Club Chalamet because Club Chalamet is supposedly Timothy's biggest fan. But Club Chalamet also has a lot of to say about Timothy in his personal life. Quite often she does not approve of Kylie. She does not approve of Kylie and she posted all of these stories of guys like leaning away from a girl kissing them. Like, like being grossed out by a girl kissing them. Insinuating that's how Timothy would feel about Kylie. Now I think one thing needs to be made clear to Club Chalamet is that Timothee Chalamet really likes and possibly loves because they've been together for a few years now. Kylie Jenner.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
They are in a full blown relationship. He brings her everywhere, they do all the events together, they show each other lots of affection. They have a legit relationship.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
That Club Salome refuses to acknowledge is real.
Ria
She does.
Dylan Efron
If she was a true fan of Timmy, wouldn't she be happy for him? If he's happy?
Ria
Yeah. I don't. What, no, not.
Grant Ellis
What is her reasoning?
Ria
It's. I, I think it's just the, you know, reputation of the family.
Grant Ellis
I think because she was fine with like his past girlfriends.
Ria
Well, I actually, I don't know. I, I, Club Shall Be really only came on the scene for me during this Kylie era. I don't know what she was like during the previous.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
Relationship.
Dylan Efron
The Lily Rose Dep era, the Isaac Gonzalez make out. Who knows?
Ria
But I'm sure she didn't approve of those.
Dylan Efron
I think Club Chalamet won't approve unless it's her, you know, like I think Club Chalamet also will have a problem.
Ria
Club Chalamet is definitely an older woman.
Dylan Efron
Club Chalamet is an older woman because she had that post.
Ria
I mean this is. She has a picture of her face.
Dylan Efron
On and she had that very bad 911 post. Yes, yes.
Grant Ellis
I don't remember that.
Dylan Efron
I don't remember it exactly. But it was something along the lines of her talking about getting offered a job in the building and not taking it. And so people were like, oh, she was old enough to be where. That's how people figured out her age was from that post. I think it was either this past September or the September prior when she posted about it. But it was a string. It was a sort of an insensitive post where she was like, I wasn't there because I didn't take the job sort of thing.
Ria
Because this post is from December 11, 2023 and it is her face with Timmy that she went to the La Wonka program.
Dylan Efron
Can I see?
Ria
And I've actually never wanted to see her face. It's pinned to her profile.
Dylan Efron
I've never.
Ria
Yeah, I mean, that's her.
Dylan Efron
Yes.
Ria
Yep. So she posted pictures of Timmy at the tennis. Kylie's obviously not in them. Now that all the reshoots for Marty supreme is complete and that crummy award season is over, Timothy was spotted at Indian Wells watching tennis. Life goes on. That was her caption. That was her caption. But literally, it's like, look at how these, like, look at how these pictures are.
Dylan Efron
She cut some. I mean, being. Being of that grown age.
Ria
She's got her own logo.
Dylan Efron
Being of that grown age and enacting.
Grant Ellis
Double C, probably cool.
Dylan Efron
And acting the way she does towards Timothy and his relationship.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Is a bit worrisome.
Grant Ellis
I would buy Club Chalamet merch. Like, if she had merch, I would buy it.
Dylan Efron
You just join the club.
Grant Ellis
You're like, that'd be pretty sick. Club Chalamet.
Dylan Efron
Club Chalamet. It's a good name.
Ria
Yeah, it's good.
Dylan Efron
Club Chalamet is a good fan page name.
Ria
Right. It's be good for, like, if Timmy did his own, you know, his own.
Dylan Efron
Right. If Timothy was, like, joined Club Chalamet.
Ria
She probably has it trademarked for sure, for my guess. So, yeah, like, literally, she posted three stories of, like, women grabbing, like, men's face and, like, trying to kiss them and the man, like, not wanting the advance so far. And then she did post the picture of Kylie and she put a Slurpee emoji over her face like, it's just a Slurpee, and wrote, now imagine if the roles were reversed. You would feel differently, wouldn't you? Like, if a guy was doing that to a girl, it's like, well, they're in a relationship.
Dylan Efron
They're in a relationship. What the fuck do you mean, they're in a relationship?
Ria
They're dating. It's okay. They're in love.
Dylan Efron
I. I would go as far as to say they are in love.
Ria
And she was just giving him little. Little kissies.
Dylan Efron
They're allowed to kiss.
Ria
Yeah. And yes, maybe in that moment, he wasn't, like, making out with her back, but, like, it was. She was just giving him a little smoochie.
Dylan Efron
She was giving him a smooch. He was feeling the love. She gave him a smooch.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
God. God. You know, it's really fucking insane. It's actually insane.
Ria
Yeah, it is.
Dylan Efron
It's concerning sometimes.
Ria
I'M like, should we be talking about her? You know?
Dylan Efron
No. Right. And then. Right.
Ria
And then. It's just. It's. Sometimes it's hard. It's. It's just the first thing I see.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
If she's so obsessed with him, like, and obviously she'd probably, like, one day want to meet him. It's like, you've ruined this chance for yourself. Like.
Dylan Efron
Well, they have. They were just together later at the premiere.
Ria
But that was 2023.
Grant Ellis
Oh.
Ria
But, yeah, she went to the premiere. I should. I believe she. She snapped a selfie with it. I think there's other events she may have been. She's already met. She's not like. Yeah. I don't know if they sat down and had a conversation, but. By the way, there's no way Timmy doesn't know about Club Chalamet.
Dylan Efron
Timmy knows who Club Shall.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Didn't they make a joke on snl?
Ria
He's online. Oh, I don't know.
Grant Ellis
Did they maybe not like the episode that he hosted, but I feel like I remember that. Maybe.
Ria
I don't know, but I, I. There's. He is aware of, like, I feel like he's aware of online things. There's no way he doesn't know about Club Shami.
Dylan Efron
It's really just concerning. It's.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
It really makes me stop in my tracks. That post really just made me stop in my tracks.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
Like, Kylie can't just give him a little kiss, a little smooch.
Ria
I know. Meanwhile, everybody else saw the pictures and we're like, oh, so sweet.
Dylan Efron
It is sweet. I really love their relationship.
Ria
I love that they did a little chicken. Indian Wells.
Dylan Efron
Well, speaking of Indian Wells, that's where Matt was playing against Djokovic, which is insane. I mean, one of the best tennis players in the world ever. Literally ever. I will preview the video. It's insane.
Ria
Yeah, it's great.
Dylan Efron
Like, it's. I'm so happy for Matt. Like, truly just incredible. Like, really actually insane.
Ria
And he really, like, looked like a professional tennis player. Let me tell you. When he had. He had the bag on his back with the racket signing and. And fans were autographs, everything. Like, I was like, he really looks like a famous tennis player. He does.
Dylan Efron
He looks the part. He plays the part. We. He came because he was doing this on Wednesday, and we got to Turks and Caicos on Wednesday. He came in Thursday morning. So me, Fran and Joe were watching these videos he was sending me of signing all these tennis balls, people taking.
Grant Ellis
Selfies with him with tennis.
Dylan Efron
He. He Gave me the tennis ball. He tossed me the tennis ball. I was like, I'm keeping this.
Ria
It's just so funny, too. It's like thinking about the fans that you. You know, at tennis matches, they get the giant tennis balls, and then they have people sign all over the tennis ball. And just thinking about the fan that's gonna have that giant tennis ball and all over, it's gonna have all these signatures, and then right. Right smack dab on there, it's just gonna be like, Marty Mosh.
Dylan Efron
Marty much. But Fran and I were saying he should. His tennis. He should go by Matt Cahill for tennis.
Ria
I said, he should have signed.
Dylan Efron
He should go by his real name.
Ria
Matt Cahill to be like, Matt Cahill, famous tennis player.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
Because Matt Cahill sounds like he's good at tennis.
Grant Ellis
Right?
Dylan Efron
Exactly. Marty Mush. They're like, oh, who's this funny tennis Persona? It's like, go. Go by your real name for tennis. And, you know, who knows what's to happen? But the videos were so fucking funny, so good and seriously amazing when it comes out. Everyone has to watch that. Like, I truly know where it's so happy for him. But, you know, Kylie and Timothy weren't able to see that.
Ria
They didn't miss that. Yeah, they were.
Dylan Efron
They missed that match.
Ria
They missed that moment. Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Imagine all of a sudden, it's like he looks up in the crowd, and so Timothy and Kylie, they're, like, up.
Ria
On their feet cheering for him.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. They're like, matt Kale, I want your signature.
Ria
Big fan.
Dylan Efron
Big fan. It was so cool. Moving on. Super awkward, to be completely honest. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. I actually almost said Anna Kendrick like you did before.
Ria
Yeah. I don't know why I did that.
Dylan Efron
We were talking before and Fran said Anna Kendrick, and now it's. Now it's coming off my tongue.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
As Anna as well. But they were doing press for another similar Frozen. Yeah, go away, Anna. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They were doing press for another simple favor, and someone asked Anna Kendrick, what's it like working with Blake Lively? And she said, oh, you know.
Ria
Not.
Dylan Efron
A good response for Blake Lively. Just an actually bad response for Blake Lively.
Ria
Right. It's. But it's tough. Like, if you're Anna Kendrick, what do you. What do you say? You're just, like, great. Like, I don't like. It's just a. It feels like a lose, lose. Because any question she is asked, it's gonna be absolutely torn apart in every direction. People are either gonna love it or hate it. Probably hate. Because if it's anything positive about, like, people are gonna hate it. And then you're just like, what do you do? What do you say? It's like. And then you're also promoting a movie that you're both in, so. And you want the movie to do well, so you can't just be like, ah, sucks. And then, like, all the people online be like, yeah. She said it's like, no, no.
Dylan Efron
The last place Anna Kendrick wanted to be in the world was that premiere. Let's be honest. Like, that she did the. When she was getting asked these questions, she got asked a question.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
You know, how do you feel everything that's going on in the world and everything. She was like, I took an ayahuasca trip. What happened? And then she walked away. Like, yeah, it was. There it is just. I think Anna Kendrick, you know, she.
Ria
Was hard to navigate.
Dylan Efron
Hard to navigate. She was in her best on that carpet. And Blake Lively acting like, all is fine.
Ria
It's just tough because there was a lot of tiktoks that made. That were made of, like, the same question being asked to both of them back to back. So it was like, what's Blake like? What's it like working with Anna again? She was like, oh, amazing. And it was like, blake, what's it like? I mean, Anna, what's like, we're with Blake again? Oh, you know?
Grant Ellis
But it was also the way she said she's like, oh, you know.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, yeah.
Ria
Oh, you know. Yeah, right. It was.
Dylan Efron
Do you either just ignore the question?
Ria
Yeah, exactly. It's a very tough situation to be in. And honestly, every little thing about. We haven't talked about it in a while. Cause there's just been, like, a lot of legal updates and things. And this person wants this dismissed and that dismissed and more whatever on. It's gonna be ongoing for quite some time, which we have said. But she is gonna get. Blake is gonna get torn apart. For every. Every little thing. I saw one tweet that was like, oh, gosh. It was just something about being, like, her, like, ego, egotistical. It's just, like, big words to really talk about the fact that she had a. What they thought was an outfit change for the. For the carpet. And somebody retweeted. It was like, you know, the hate for Blake is real when they're. When they're throwing out these words for literally a woman taking off her jacket on the carpet. There was just a jacket that was over. That was over her dress. But, no, she's getting crushed. And Paul Feig Fike. Fiq. Feig. I'm gonna go with Feig.
Dylan Efron
F, E, I G. Yeah.
Ria
The director. You would pronounce the director of the movie this person on. On Twitter. Melanie King, who had. Who's had a lot to say about Blake. Very anti Blake wrote Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick before they walk the red carpet at the south by west, south by Southwest. Another Simple Favor premiere. It was a picture of the whole cast. They were taking a selfie. I just reported on Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again. Laughy face emoji. And Paul retweeted that and wrote, you're wrong. So I feel like it's been tough for people to either. It's like they either say the wrong thing or they don't say something, or they want to say something, and then they don't want to say something, and it's tough. It's going to be. It's going to be a tough movie for them to promote.
Dylan Efron
It is. It's going to be a long promotion, and I'd imagine Anna Kendrick wants this movie just to come out and really not be a part of any more. Any more promotion going forward. Yeah, it's just a. It's just a premiere.
Ria
It's like, you got to be at the premieres.
Dylan Efron
You want people to watch the movie.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
You do a movie, watch it.
Ria
Yeah. They can obviously do press separately if that's how it goes. But they're really. It's gonna be tough to feel like the premieres when they're walking the carpet together and everything. Did they take any pictures together?
Dylan Efron
Well, they did take pictures together. I feel like Blake didn't stuff Anna Kendrick in the basement.
Ria
Right. Also true. Well, I just feel like Anna's like, this is not my fight. Like, me, we're good.
Dylan Efron
You know, you're kind of like, let me just. Well, I mean, there were rumors about Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively not getting along in the first Simple Favor.
Ria
Wasn't that more about Anna?
Dylan Efron
I think it was just. They equally just didn't get it. I don't. You never know when people talk about the stuff on set, but because I.
Ria
I Like, we had Anna Kendrick in here. I loved her. I thought she was.
Dylan Efron
Well, I loved her, too, but maybe.
Ria
But there's There. There has been rumors about her being.
Dylan Efron
Tough for years, but maybe that was Blake's camp putting it out about Anna before Anna. No, even.
Ria
I'm saying before that. Not during this time. Like, I'm saying way, like Way before that. So I didn't like. I thought Anna was awesome when we had.
Dylan Efron
She was incredible. She was one of my favorite guests we've ever had.
Ria
Yeah. Yeah, she was really, really.
Dylan Efron
Did she get her back in and talk a simple.
Ria
Yeah, we should. I wonder if it'd be interesting if they're like, that's something. I see publicists being like, hey, we really don't wanna.
Dylan Efron
We're not gonna talk about this.
Ria
We're not gonna talk about you. No Blake questions.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. Oh, for sure. No Blake questions.
Ria
I mean you're in the context of Blake and Justin.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, I mean you're gonna wanna. You're doing that movie. You're Anna Kendrick. You don't wanna go into an interview and have everyone just ask you about that. I'm in this movie. I'm an actress, also a director. Now ask me about myself. We don't have to fucking talk about this.
Ria
Totally.
Dylan Efron
That you're going to set some boundaries on that. And yeah, I think that wraps up the topics. We'll see what happens with. I. I will watch the movie. You know, trailer look good. I really watched it.
Ria
The trailer.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, I really liked the first one. And a Beautiful scenery.
Ria
Good. Yeah, I'm not going to. I'm not opposed to watching a movie and copies. It looks stunning for sure.
Dylan Efron
Beautiful scenery. So. All right, that wraps up the topics. My personal favorite hair products come from Ouai. I've been using Ouai for years now. The leave in conditioner is absolute staple, especially for a beach weekend. You don't feel like doing your hair but you get out of the water, you get out of the pool, get out of the ocean. You want to spray your hair with some leave in conditioner. That's my trick. I like to protect my hair with the leave in conditioner. Spray it in. They also have the wave spray that you don't. You don't want to put hot tools to your hair. Just do a little wavy texture. Beautiful wave spray. Also amazing body creams. I love the body scrubs Detox shampoo. If you're using a lot of product in your hair. And now they have the scalp serum and the scalp serum balances and Hydrates the scalp 100% soft, thicker, fuller looking hair using the scalp serum. You can use it on wet or dry hair. You can use it morning or night. However you do your hair care routine, scalp serum comes into play and will get you on your way to a healthy scalp. So the way to a healthy scalp starts here. Go to T H E o u a I dot com and use code chicks for 15% off any product. That's t h e o u a I dot com code chicks for 15% off any Product. All right, let's get into the weekly watch report where we talk about the things we we watch this week. Weekly watch port on Monday. Weekly watch report on Monday. Weekly watch for Monday. Weekly watchboard on Monday. Traders. We talked about a lot with Dylan, so we won't really do much talking about it here. But, hey, you know, solid. Really happy ending. Really solid for the good guys of the show. I thought it was just poetic and I was happy for all of them individually for winning that. And what a shock that Brittany wrote Danielle's name down once again. She did it to her absolute stunning turn of events, but incredible television. I didn't need any drama from the rest of the faithfuls because I thought that that alone did enough.
Ria
Absolutely. I agree.
Dylan Efron
I didn't need any more drama than that.
Ria
It was good because it really did feel like the traitors did just kind of turn on each other the whole season. And the faithfuls really stayed faithful and loyal to each other, which was like a storybook ending, really. It's like once the traitors, like, showed themselves or played their cards and everybody could see it was the faithfuls like, okay, we got you.
Dylan Efron
It was quite beautiful. I really.
Ria
It was. I thought it was a solid. I loved seeing them share that moment. I did too.
Dylan Efron
I was so happy for them. Especially like, oh, congratulations to Gabby and Robbie, who are married, by the way. That was so cool when you talk about Gabby said, maybe we'll get married. And now they're married, which is so cute. So they are, they are the cutest and so funny together. Absolutely. Love. So, so happy for Gabby. Congratulations. And then just like Dolores, Dylan, Iver, it's like, it's a great group of people to win. So congratulations to all them. A solid A all around for Traders. Fantastic season.
Ria
It really was. And I thought the reunion was good too. Yeah, it was. It was good, you know, the, the, you know this. But Thursday night when we came home, I was like, I gotta back to the hotel. I was like, I got. I put my VPN on to watch the episode. And when Joe was out on the balcony and when Brittany flipped and it said Danielle, I literally, I yelled, oh, fuck. And he, like, threw the door open and was like, oh, my God, are you okay? Like, so worried for me. And I was like, Then he looked at, he looked at where I was on the bed with my iPad in my lap. And he goes, oh, my God. Was it the traitors? I was like, yeah, sorry. He, like, looked at me, didn't say, we're just close the door again.
Dylan Efron
Big moment. Big. It warranted. It warranted the almost full blown scream. Yeah. Warranted the reaction. It was insane. Incredible television.
Ria
I love the reunion, too. It was fun. I love that Andy Cohen does the reunion.
Dylan Efron
Oh, it's. I mean, who else would do a better reunion?
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
I like that he called out Dolores, like, immediately. He's like, you got eight out of ten votes wrong.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. Like, just comfortable with Dolores.
Ria
It is. And I just love. I just love Dolores. So no matter. Like, even though that was the way it went for her when she was talking to Carolyn and she was like. And you're like number seven, like, so serious. Like, you're like number seven on Cameo right now. That's huge.
Dylan Efron
Like, Dolores is so sweet, though.
Ria
So sweet. I love her. I really do. It's. You know, there's some silly parts. I felt like the housewives do try and stir it up a little bit, and it's like, fine.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
But I thought it was.
Dylan Efron
That's their forte.
Ria
Yeah, it is.
Dylan Efron
Summer House. I will give, like, a B minus. Just the same old, you know, Kyle.
Ria
Kyle. Song and dance.
Dylan Efron
Fighting with Paige and.
Ria
Yep. Fighting with somebody.
Dylan Efron
Fighting with somebody. He's always fighting with somebody. And then, you know, Amanda has to answer for her husband.
Ria
We're all supposed to feel bad for him.
Dylan Efron
Right. And it's. I never do and. But yeah, whatever. Yeah. I watched Juror number two on the plane ride home, and I would give it a C plus. I thought it was good, but I thought it could have been more.
Ria
No, only for a little bit.
Dylan Efron
No, I really. On a plane.
Ria
No, I just was in a plane. I think it would move even slower because I thought it was, you know.
Dylan Efron
But I saw a lot of it. Fell asleep a little bit in the middle, but I still saw a lot of. Was good. I just felt like they could have done more with it. Like, I liked the premise of it.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
But I thought it was a little slow.
Ria
It definitely was.
Dylan Efron
Hence, I fell asleep a little bit. Definitely. Also, I watched Conclave on the way there and fell asleep.
Ria
Also warranted.
Grant Ellis
Maybe you shouldn't watch movies on a plane.
Dylan Efron
Here's the thing.
Ria
45 minutes of conclave moved pretty slow.
Dylan Efron
I actually don't usually sleep on planes.
Ria
I'm not gonna lie. I dozed off a little watching the first.
Dylan Efron
I was So I kind of was bummed that I fell asleep on the Way there. So I can't really. I can't grade it because I fully fell asleep.
Ria
It looked like the Pope was participating in some Ash Wednesday activities.
Dylan Efron
And that's it.
Ria
Yeah. My weekly watch report this week is, like, things that I want to watch but haven't watched.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
I have a whole.
Dylan Efron
I actually was going to come with a list of things.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Oh, I watched the White Lotus.
Ria
Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Grant Ellis
Oh, yeah.
Dylan Efron
I have to be completely honest. Like, I am. I am bored.
Ria
I actually liked this episode the most.
Dylan Efron
I mean. Yeah, it was the most. I think it's hard to, like. I know it's picking up.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And so I don't hate it. I don't dislike it. It's just not. As the other seasons, I feel, like, picked up a little bit more, a little bit quicker. This last night's episode, I think, picked up the most. And so we're obviously on to something here. I'll give it a B. It's just still a little bit slow.
Ria
Yeah, definitely.
Dylan Efron
But I do enjoy the dynamics of each group.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Like, I. I really do enjoy all the group dynamics, but I'm. I'm the. The ending of this episode, I'm like, what's gonna happen at this. At this moon party next week? So with that, the ending did get me.
Ria
Yeah. Though the writing. The writing is just so good that I was like. I was real. I had some LOL moments where I was like, parker Posey has been so, so good. She is so. Every time she opens her mouth, I laugh. No, it's so good.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, she's really good. I mean, the group of three women. Hilarious. I mean, all of the dynamics are great, and the writing is really, really good.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I'm just like.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
You know, there were a couple things this episode where things happened, but I want something big.
Grant Ellis
This season is different because a lot of it is, like, happening outside of the White Lotus. Like, in terms of the dad. Like, all that drama is, like, not happening inside. Like, we don't even know what's going on. Right.
Dylan Efron
I think that's why I'm like. But I will say theme song grew on me. I'm really feeling the theme song. Yeah.
Ria
And they threw the OG in there towards the end.
Dylan Efron
Yes.
Ria
The end of the episode. They put the original, like. Yeah. Which was. Which was great. I would give it a B as well. I'd actually give it a B plus White Lotus. Yeah. I'm very intrigued. The full moon party's gonna be epic. Yeah. Yeah. Just the scenery is incredible.
Dylan Efron
Oh, yeah.
Ria
It's visuals of that boat going through the water with the islands and the. Oh my God, it looked stunning. But like there was, I was cracking up one when the ladies went to the other hotel and was like all old people and she was like, like disgusted by all these, by the older people. And yeah, I, I, the, the dad like getting the gun. I was like, like there's just like all the little things are starting to line up. For sure.
Dylan Efron
It's gonna pick up next week.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Gary Greg's identity being kind of unveiled and having that happen to putting those, putting those pieces together, it's all gonna be very interesting. I have so much that I want to watch. Haven't watched like we were on vacation, but I watched My Fault London.
Dylan Efron
So did I.
Ria
So did I. I watched My Fault London, which I've gotten a ton of DMS about of people being like, Fred, you gotta watch his movies. Right up your alley.
Dylan Efron
It was same.
Ria
It absolutely was.
Dylan Efron
I loved it, actually. I watched it and then you were like, I'm watching My Fault London. I was like, oh, I watched it and you were like, oh my God, we didn't even talk about it. I watched, I cozied on UP on Monday or Tuesday night and I watched it.
Ria
I'd give it a B. Like I enjoy, like it was, it's obviously silly, but I enjoyed it.
Dylan Efron
Very silly, but enjoyed it. And also London, you know, anything like you sell me with anything with London.
Ria
Yep, yep, yep. And like, yeah, the whole ass. The whole premise was wild.
Dylan Efron
But when I first saw the premise, I was like, oh boy.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Dylan Efron
Mm.
Ria
And it just kills you when that like happens and the parents are like, oh, like yes, run under your noses. They're getting pretty close, don't you think?
Dylan Efron
Right, right.
Ria
Your son just risked his life, he got stabbed.
Dylan Efron
Uh huh.
Ria
For your daughter. You don't think maybe his little stuff and like they're like, oh my God, they must just really have siblings.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. Y. And then you're like, I don't know about that one. Right, right.
Ria
He's speeding off to save like he, he seemed pretty fucking upset, you know, I did, I did very much, I did very much enjoy it for sure. And I watched 2 and 3, episode 2 and 3 of Paradise. I know that it's over, right?
Dylan Efron
Yeah, yeah.
Grant Ellis
Well, season one.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It got renewed. But I'm really liking it, honestly. It's giving me that, that ABC vibe of those shows like Scandal Revenge, those shows which I loved. It has that same kind of feel. I'M a little iffy on the constant timeline jumps.
Grant Ellis
It's hard to find.
Ria
Like, it's. Yeah. Like, I look down for two seconds, all of a sudden it's 12 years ago. I'm like, what time? Where are we? You know, where it goes back and. But it is. It's good.
Grant Ellis
I. I hope I don't deter you with my finale review.
Ria
Oh, well, you won't. You won't, you won't, because I. Now I'm locked in.
Grant Ellis
You have to look forward to seven.
Ria
Well, so now I'm locked in. I need to know what happens, you know? Like, I need to know what. What is going down. So two and three, I'll give a B plus. I enjoyed it. I thought it was good. I think I just watched episode three, this week of Severance, Season two. Episode three. It was. It was like last Monday night. So it's not super fresh in my brain. I would. I can't even really fully remember what happened, to be honest, if we're gonna be there, so. Gosh, I don't even really remember what happened.
Grant Ellis
Well, clearly you loved it.
Ria
Yeah. I just remember seeing people talk about season four, so. I mean, season four, episode four. So the whole time I kept thinking, like, oh, I wonder what's gonna happen in episode four. I was just kind of like, watching episode three, and. Oh, wait. Just kidding. It's coming back to me now. He's. He's getting all reprogrammed the end of episode three. I thought that was very. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought that was very interesting. I. It isn't. It's another show that's like an anticipation thing. It's like, come on, what's gonna. You know, and. Which doesn't make me feel confident the way Noah's been talking about it either.
Grant Ellis
But I'm not the.
Ria
I'll give that. I'll give that a. I'll give that a B. Episode three. And I watched. I gotta finish Love is Blind. I can't believe I haven't even seen any spoilers yet, which is shocking. I'm sure I will very quickly. I watched Ocean's Eleven on the plane home. It was really just in the casino mindset, you know, really good.
Grant Ellis
Are they making another. Did I see that? Oh, are they with the original cast, or am I making that up?
Ria
I feel like that would have been bigger news if they were bringing the original cast back together.
Dylan Efron
I didn't see that.
Grant Ellis
Yeah. I mean, this says. Yeah, they're talking about it. George Clooney says new Ocean's film Is about the gang being too old to do the jobs.
Dylan Efron
Oh, damn.
Ria
It's an interesting way to go about it. It's like, oh, we're making a movie that we're washed up.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
That'S a. That's an A movie. That's a really. It's a fantastic movie. And to be honest, I see, like, bits and pieces of it, but I don't know. I can't remember the last time I sat down and watched it start to finish.
Dylan Efron
We talked about it, because when I said I watched it, you were like, I don't know if I have.
Ria
I don't know if I. Yeah, so I enjoyed it. It really made me want to watch the rest. Yeah, I'm gonna have to do that.
Dylan Efron
Yep.
Ria
I definitely have not seen 12 or 13.
Dylan Efron
12 is great.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
13'S awesome, too.
Dylan Efron
And 13, I think all of.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
I think it. If I had to order it, it'd probably be. I don't even remember 12 that much. It'd be like 11. 13.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Maybe 13 is what I'm talking about.
Ria
Maybe that's it for me.
Grant Ellis
Okay. The White Lotus, just for the last two episodes, I'll give it B minus. Like, I actually am enjoying it, but it is slow. And it's hard to not compare to the last two seasons where, like, at this point, for sure, it was more locking you in.
Dylan Efron
It's always enjoyable. It's just not every season is gonna be, like, right off the bat.
Grant Ellis
A lot of the season is just, like, feeding you anxiety. I feel like with this dad and everything, where it's, like, hard to not feel that way, where I'm like, jesus Christ.
Ria
You know? What's funny is I watch with. I, like, watch everything with the subtitles. And the White Lotus really can just be summed up as every few minutes, it just says, suspenseful music plays like, that's the all. And it comes up every time. It was like. And especially this episode, it was like, suspenseful music. Suspenseful music. Eerie music. Suspenseful music.
Grant Ellis
I like how the youngest brother has no backbone. Like, she's like, please be there for me tonight. Like, I need you at dinner. And then, like, five minutes later, oh, yeah, I'm going to this party.
Ria
Well, he's just following Saxon, you know?
Dylan Efron
I mean, they're really heavy on the here, no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. Yeah, like, that's. That's heavy. Heavily influenced, especially. They legitimately pan to the monkey. The.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
Of it right after the scene of that family. So who knows what's gonna Happen.
Ria
The writing for Saxon is out of this world.
Dylan Efron
It's crazy.
Ria
The. When he had the. It was the, you know, vulgar. The. The cumb line.
Dylan Efron
I was like, no, I mean, there's some. There's some crazy lines. I mean, when it. And then it. They showed the monkeys with the, you know, here. No evil.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And then Amy Lou Wood had a line where she said something like. Something in threes. She was like, threes are always. And I was like, okay, these three siblings are gonna have a threesome.
Ria
Yes.
Dylan Efron
That's like, there's gonna. Some things that's gonna happen with these three siblings together.
Ria
I don't know about. I don't know about her. She feels out of it.
Grant Ellis
She's gonna hook up with that.
Ria
But the two of the brothers.
Dylan Efron
No, but the girl, I think is. I think Piper is interested in Locke. Like, I think. I think Piper likes the younger brother.
Ria
I don't know. I don't know. I think Piper's like, you guys are gross. Y. I don't know. We'll see. That was. Yeah, the Jo's. That gun looked pretty small. Perfect for a monkey.
Grant Ellis
Could be paradise finale. I'll give a C plus. Like, it just fell off a cliff for me after episode seven, which I knew it wasn't gonna be as good as that, but.
Ria
How many episodes was it?
Grant Ellis
Eight.
Ria
Okay.
Grant Ellis
Oh, okay. But it just.
Ria
The finale was a bunch of things.
Grant Ellis
That were just so ridiculous in this finale, and it kind of just seemed, like, thrown together and being like, oh, well, we have a season two. But, yeah.
Fran
I don't know.
Grant Ellis
I did not like how they wrapped it up. And, like, it just felt way cornier all of a sudden, where, like, seven was incredible, and then eight is just like, what the fuck?
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Which I was just wonder. I've been Paradise's biggest.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, you could still be the biggest.
Ria
I. I hope that I did see that. I think that they're gonna air the episodes on ABC now.
Grant Ellis
I feel like that. I don't know why, but I feel like that's gonna make the show worse.
Ria
I mean, they're, like, airing it on all this. It's who. I mean, it's all. It's all Disney. So.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Ria
What's. You know?
Grant Ellis
I don't know. I'll get that. I watched the Apprentice. The movie. Donald Trump movie. Very good.
Ria
Very good. Right?
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Jeremy Strong is incredible.
Ria
He's so good.
Dylan Efron
Jeremy Strong, you know, he's just a great actor.
Ria
But.
Dylan Efron
But him as a person, you know, when they panned him at that awards it's like, I really do want to know how he is as a person in real life.
Grant Ellis
And the thing that people were saying, which I guess to a degree is true, and I love Kieran Culkin and Real Pain. Real Pain was my favorite movies of the year. But, like, Kieran Culkin is kind of always just, like, playing himself in a way, like. Or the same type of character. Jeremy Strong is, like, transforming his. Himself. And, like, you don't even see him in this, really. And yeah, it is tough because you're like, damn, he probably put a lot into this. And.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, for sure.
Grant Ellis
But very good. And Sebastian Stan was really good. So I'll give that a B plus Traders. I'll give it. I'll give an A minus just because I'm happy. Like, I. I was like. I audibly was like, let's fucking go. When Daniel got. But having no drama at the end, it was nice because I'm like, oh, they did it. But part of me was like, after season two.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I felt like they had enough drama throughout the season that the ending was, like, nice.
Ria
I think that that, that turn from Brittany was enough also.
Grant Ellis
They did build it up enough where I actually thought that Dolores was gonna fuck it up again. Severance, this past episode. It's a C and I'm being generous because I just felt it's a C and I don't want people. I could have given it in the D range and people would have come out after me. This must have been eight. Yeah, this was eight. Eight guys. I just don't know. And I'm starting to see at least some other people online, starting to say, like, can we. Can we say this is not great? Or are people gonna, like, attack us? Because.
Ria
Yeah, right.
Grant Ellis
Which is true. People are gonna come after you. But it's just so boring. I don't know what else to say. Yeah. Was Patricia Arquette only about her? It's as if the show is just about her. I don't know. Maybe five words the entire show were spoken. Like, I just. It was just so bad.
Dylan Efron
You just don't understand the art.
Grant Ellis
No, that's what people are gonna say.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Yeah. I mean, already I know that the show is not like my cup of tea. Like, there are episodes that I'm like, wow, this is cool. But this episode, I just fair. I don't know, man. I don't know.
Ria
Fair.
Grant Ellis
And then I watched the first episode of the Celtics documentary on Max.
Ria
Yep.
Grant Ellis
Really fucking good. And I know that if I say, oh, you don't have to be a Celtics fan to, like. It's really well done. They get every single Celtic you could imagine. He's. They're in this. They got everyone. It's awesome. But I know that no one who's. If you're not Celtics fans, you're probably not gonna watch.
Ria
I would. I sounds my worst nightmare.
Grant Ellis
It's really cool, though.
Ria
No, I get it. I just can't stand this, you know, like.
Grant Ellis
But that's an A for me.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Like, I'm excited for that. It comes out on Monday, so that's all wonderful.
Dylan Efron
Solid watch.
Ria
Yep.
Dylan Efron
There's a ton.
Ria
We have a ton. Next week is gonna be packed.
Dylan Efron
Yes.
Ria
Because I got a Watson show. Yeah, I got a lot of.
Grant Ellis
I did start that, but I won't rate it.
Ria
Yeah.
Grant Ellis
Because I didn't really finish episode one.
Ria
I've got a lot of TV time to clock.
Dylan Efron
Me too. Me too. All right, that wraps up everything we watched.
Ria

Dylan Efron
All right, everyone. We are here with a very special guest. You know him and love him from this season of the Traders. Welcome Dylan Efron. Thanks for coming on.
Fran
Thanks for having me.
Ria
We're so excited that you're here. We're so excited about the way that this season ended. It was so like. What's the word?
Dylan Efron
Poetic justice. Yeah.
Ria
Yeah. Like, we felt. We felt we all won.
Dylan Efron
You Know, I feel like we're the good guys.
Ria
Exactly. We felt like we were all faithfuls. How does it feel now that the show is over and everyone's seen how it's ended?
Fran
I think there was some concern with the winners that were like, are people gonna be mad at us because we didn't start any drama? So it's been amaz amazing that people aren't mad at us for, for not taking it down to two. It's just. Yeah, I, I love how much everyone loves the show because that's me. Like I, I watched this show and I loved it. So it's cool to be able to be on the other side, honestly.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I mean the four of you were who we were rooting for the most. I mean, especially towards the end. You have, you, Gabby, Dolores, Ivor, what a fantastic group of winners. And, and you said you're nervous that, you know, you guys didn't start any drama at the end, but you guys were all so likable in the show that it's like, well, we gotta be happy that these four won. Why would we want them to turn against each other in the end? Would make great for great tv, but.
Ria
How can we not be happy? Yeah, exactly. We would have been so sad. Imagine like Dolores was just like, it would have been, we would have been like, oh, no. Right.
Dylan Efron
Well, towards the end, I mean, Dolores was just flipping over whatever name she wanted. Okay. And we love Dolores, but as a viewer we're all getting a little frustrated. We're like, stick with the plan. How did you feel during those roundtables when you're trying to get a trader out and Dolores is just, she just has personal feelings and she's writing them down.
Fran
That was me earlier in the season though. I was writing Gabby's name. So what they. There's a lot that happens at the roundtable that isn't shown. So that last vote where Dolores wrote Tom, we sit down and Tom went on a 15 minute tirade, like just, this is why Dolores is a traitor. It went on for 15 minutes and then Dolores just says like, shut the up. And then, and then, and then we started talking about Britney.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
So. So like that's why she was so heated and voted Tom. But in the show it just looks like it's, it's petty.
Ria
Yeah, right. Well, because in. They kind of made it seem like both sides were petty. Like it just seemed like Tom was like, I really think it's Dolores. And there was no reason.
Fran
And I don't think he really thought it that much like Tom started to catch on at the end. He was.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. Well, Tom himself, when he was out, he was like, you know, I was the best player in this game. Which was so funny and really entertaining to watch. You know, as viewers of all reality tv, you have your, you know, preconceived thoughts about tomorrow because of what he's done. But watching this show, I think he weirdly won people over because people just started accepting him for who he is. They were like, he can really be awful, but he's having the time of his life on this show.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And he plays that balance of like, is he in on the joke or not? Because like sometimes like when he's talking to the statue like that he has to be on the joke at that point. Right. Like, I don't think he.
Ria
That's why I don't think he.
Dylan Efron
I don't think he's a self aware man.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dylan Efron
And it makes for great tv.
Ria
Like this season, the singing, the, the challenge where he had to sing the bat backwards with the dolls and everything was. It is funny listening to him back as it was for us watching it.
Fran
Oh, it was. It's even funnier because so again, like going behind the curtain, like Alan tells us the rules read and then we have about an hour till that mission starts. Starts. So as soon as he reads the rules, Tom just leaves and is like, I need a cough drop. Medic.
Ria
Medic.
Fran
I need a cough drop. And he's doing the, the vocal warm ups. Like the lips. Yeah. And he's just singing like. And we're all like, Tom just like, it's too early for this. Like we're, we're not seeing for an hour.
Dylan Efron
Oh my God.
Fran
But that's what makes him so special. Yeah. He saw his chance, he took it.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
This is my, this is my time to shine. I'm gonna get scouted on this show for my singing. What you interested in even doing Traders? We know that you're a big fan of Survivor. Do you love any other reality shows?
Fran
Yeah, I started watching Traders. I started watching like the UK version, Australia version. So I got hooked on that. I watched Dealer no Deal island like on the way to playing the game. So it was like that was Boston Rob season. And then he like takes off his mask, episode one, and I'm like, dude, you were just on my tv like, get out of here. I don't want to deal with you. So I was not going to let him in the castle at first. Yeah, I like a lot of them, like all the Special Forces. Like, I'm a fan of that. It's fun when it's, like, real emotions.
Ria
Yeah. Is this the first one that you've ever wanted to actually do yourself? Like, there? You can be a fan of the shows and watch them, but it's a whole different ball game when you're like, I actually want to play this one.
Fran
I wanted to play Survivor too, but I. I'd also never applied. Like, I think for me, I wasn't ready. I was watching at 12 being like, oh, I would win this, and then, like, would I ever apply? No. Like, I wasn't quite. I don't think I was quite ready. So then this was the first year where I was like, you know what? Like, this is nothing different than I do on social media. I'm playing myself, except I'm playing, like, at the biggest. Like a kid's game at the biggest level. I was like, I can do this. So this was the first year where I entertained doing a show, and I'm happy I did.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I mean, it worked out for you, which is amazing. I think everyone was rooting for you. And it's true what you say. You know, you're watching Survivor as a kid, you're like, I could do this. But that's. And then you don't sign up because you're like, well, I don't want to test that. But for this, it really turned out amazing for you. How did you originally get approached or did you apply?
Fran
I actually don't know. So I'm with uta and they. They told me about the opportunity, so I have no idea. They might have DM me because I heard a lot of people got DMed.
Grant Ellis
Right.
Ria
You're like, yes, I'm administrator. I'm down.
Fran
And I had only watched the second season of the US and, like, I watched it, I liked it, but I wasn't sure how much strategy there was. Like, I love a lot of strategy and feeling like I can win if you're smart enough type thing. So then I was like, not. Not on the fence. But I was like, I need to do more research. I watched UK season 2 and was hooked. So then I, like, went down the rabbit hole. I was like, oh, I'm doing this show.
Dylan Efron
Right? What did you suck in?
Ria
Yeah. What did you think of the comparisons then? If you watch the second season, everyone thought you were really. You and Pilot Pete were, like, playing the same kind of game.
Fran
I wasn't offended by it at all because, like, when I signed up to do the show, he was One person I called for advice and was just like, hey, I'm thinking about doing this show. Should I do it? It was a quick call. He was just like, dude, it was the time of my life. I really enjoyed it. Like, don't even think twice. Sign up. So hearing that from him, who I respected from that season was like, all right, let's do this thing.
Dylan Efron
Was it kind of crazy to watch back and see Parvati compare you to pilot Pete? I was like, that was crazy. She clocked that.
Fran
I heard it. They were chirping from over there. I could hear everything they did.
Dylan Efron
You get to a point where you were like, okay, I'm crushing this. I'm on to everybody now. People are gonna think I'm a traitor.
Fran
Like, that last roundtable with Brittany, she, like, I wasn't expecting that. Dolores told me right before we walked in that she was coming for me, and I was just like, what does she have on me? And so I wasn't expecting. You can tell. I kind of got, like, defensive. I wasn't expecting her to come at me. So, no, like, once I got Boston or. Sorry, once I got Bob the Drag Queen, it really cleared my name. And all I was worried about was murders. After that, I wasn't worried about getting banished.
Dylan Efron
It's amazing you didn't get murdered.
Fran
Yeah, it is. That is so true.
Ria
I mean, do you think that, like, do you think. You're. Obviously, your friendship with Danielle played a big part in that. Most likely huge. When do you think you started to suspect Danielle? Or was it really not until the end?
Fran
No, it was very. Like, there was a very clear moment. Do you remember the murder in Plain sight, when Chrishell got murdered?
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Fran
We woke up that day, and that was when we first started playing the, like, why am I still here? Game.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And it just became there's less people, so it's. It becomes easier. And I was like, okay, I'm still here because Danielle is protecting me. Like, that's the only thing that makes sense. So then I'm in the car with Tom, and we're like, all right, Tom, why are you still here? Who's protecting you? And we both came to the conclusion it's Carolyn. And it was. It just made so much sense. It was, like, on camera, off camera, if anyone said anything slightly mean about Tom, Carolyn would step in and say, don't say that. He's a good person, all these things. So we were just like, oh, my gosh. Like, Gabby would have killed us day one. Like, it just made so much sense. It's not Ivor. Like, we were like, we know. It's these two. We go to that chessboard game, and it was, like, so obvious. They just kind of dug their own grave.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
I mean, I think everybody watching was so proud of you for holding your own against Danielle. When she was, you know, begging and almost crying, she was like, please don't do this. And you were like, I'm gonna stick to this. In that moment at the round table, was there a moment where you were gonna flip or were you always gonna go, danielle.
Fran
No, I wasn't gonna flip. But it wasn't easy. It was like, I felt so bad. Cause she was. She's a friend, and she's pleading. Like, I know she's a traitor, but it's hard to do that to a friend.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
But what you don't see is Gabby and I. Like, towards the end of the. I was very on Gabby. I thought she was a traitor, 100%. But again, that same day, I realized it's not Gabby. The. The Murder in Plain Sight day. So then I started working with her. And we knew going into that round table, I was like, we were aligned. We're like, we're going after Danielle tonight. She's going after you. Like, I'll have your back, but you have to do this. Like, you have to speak at the roundtable. Like, I can't do it against Danielle. And I even tipped Danielle off, but I tried to wait till the very last second so she couldn't strategize. She still strategized.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
So I probably shouldn't have done that.
Ria
Yeah. I'm sure she had the plan in her head no matter what. Anyway, at that point when Dolores was, like, so adamant that it was iver. Gabby, like, she was not. She was not going to write Danielle. Did you at any point, like, were you guys trying to convince her it was Danielle? Because that's. We didn't really see a hundred percent.
Fran
But the. The credit I give Dolores was being upfront about it. Because once she said, dylan, like, I am not writing Dolores or Danielle's name no matter what. I could strategize. I could say, like, oh, okay. Like, I was gonna keep Danielle another day, but now we actually have to get her out tonight, otherwise we're gonna lose this game.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Fran
So, like, the fact that she was honest with me allowed me to, like, strategize.
Ria
Cause you're like, we are not gonna have this number no matter what.
Fran
I was so frightened. Like, nothing I could say would have convinced her to Vote Danielle.
Dylan Efron
I mean, we were dying watching Dolores. We love Dolores, but we were like, she really is treating this like it's Housewives of New Jersey. Like, she thinks if someone says they're not a traitor, that means they're really not a traitor. Like, she's all about the loyalty. I think she's forgetting what game she's playing where someone has to be lying to her, which was, you know, as a viewer and probably in your position, you're a little frustrated, but you appreciate her loyalty as well because she was.
Fran
Loyal to you, and that's why she won. Like, she. She was respected as the most loyal person in the house. That's why Danielle wanted to take her to the end. Like, she was loyal, and that's why she won. So it is, like, credit to her. She won the game, and it's not like she was gifted the game. Same with Ivor. They. They played a different strategy than I did.
Ria
Yeah, definitely, because I did. And I think with the Housewives being such targets in the beginning, they just kind of went one after another that it's a credit to Dolores that she was able to stick around all the way to the end.
Fran
That was all Bob the Drag Queen.
Ria
Yeah. Now and then when you guys. When you filmed the reunion, did it feel like the. The housewives had a little bit of a chip on their shoulder?
Fran
For sure. Yeah. But they. It was also funny too, because, like, the winners, we don't have anything to say. Like, this isn't for us.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like, we wanted them to have their moment. The people that got slighted, everything. So we're, like, out there, and it felt like, yeah, we're like, going through the motions type thing. The housewives walked out and I was like, oh, shit. This is like, watch our house. Yeah, this is the Andy Cohen show.
Dylan Efron
They're used to this.
Fran
It was like, once Dorinda and Ion walked out, I was like, oh, shit, here we go. Grab the popcorn.
Dylan Efron
Right, right. You feel like you have a front row seat to one of their reunions.
Fran
It was great.
Dylan Efron
Now, once the filming ended and kind of post Traitor, is it a little bit disorienting because you're in your life, you're like, are you a traitor? Are you a faithful? How do you feel once it all ends?
Fran
I. Again, I think I was lucky because I won. So, like, my. It felt like a closed chapter for me. I went back to normal life. Like, all I wanted to do is like, lay on, lay in the sun, go in the ocean. Like, I wanted to just get back to who I am. But the people that got slighted or, like, didn't get that closure. I think, like, Carolyn. Like, Carolyn was really, like, calling after the show just, like, she needed closure, and she never got it. It's like, why did this happen? Like, where did I mess up? And I think that's when. When it's hard.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
But I didn't.
Dylan Efron
It always goes beyond the game.
Fran
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Ria
Watching it back has got to be interesting, too, because you see those conversations that you didn't were there for what was happening in the turret, the drama with the traitors. What were you thinking watching the traitors really go after each other? Like, the whole season, from the beginning, the traitors did not. We're not on the same page.
Fran
No. And it's so weird when you're. When you're in the castle. You really don't know that, like, you. We were questioning some of the murders they had. We're confused by them a lot, but we had no idea. So, like I was saying, I was the best trader on the show because I was trying to bring Danielle and Carolyn together the whole season. I was just like, I do not understand why you guys are fighting. Just like, can't we all get along? We're doing great.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I had no idea what was happening.
Dylan Efron
And they didn't listen to you. It really was shocking to watch because, you know, the smart strategy would be stick together, but they couldn't do it. They could not stick together. Which I think at first, everyone was like, oh, my God, these traitors are awful. But then when you continue to watch, you're like, this is amazing. Like, I need them to keep killing each other off, because now we're just fully rooting for the faithfuls.
Fran
Yeah, I. I think. I think the traders did, like, I know they got a lot of heat, but when I look back at the season and this is how I felt on episode 11, like, at the end, I was like, wow. Bob the drag queen had this show on his back for four episodes. Boston Rob had the show on his back for three episodes. Danielle and Carolyn had the show on their back for the last three. It was like, they really carried the season. So as much as, like, people give them crap for, like, being bad traders, they made good tv, right?
Dylan Efron
And bad traders, but made it, like, Danielle made it really far. So, you know, as much as people got frustrated with her and, you know, you know, didn't like the way that she was playing, she did make it really far, which means in that house, she was playing a good Game and.
Fran
That'S the thing too is like, yeah, like Tom and I knew Danielle was a traitor. So like we were playing that game of like, should we keep her around? Should we not, like, so we have a leg up. But then it was like once Dolores said she wasn't gonna vote for like if she was one round table away from winning. Like, even if we knew she was a trader, we couldn't have done anything about it.
Dylan Efron
Now how has your life changed, post traders? Because, I mean, you have all of this fan love now. Were you expecting that?
Fran
No, it's been, it's been awesome. It's really cool.
Dylan Efron
It's pretty sick.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Just mainly because it's like I don't feel like anything's changed at all. Like I still am doing everything I did before and I didn't put on an act really. So I just, I think, yeah, I think people are just seeing me and are liking it, which is like the best feeling in the world.
Dylan Efron
Right. There's something really comforting about people liking you for you.
Fran
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
Dylan Efron
Like if you were a traitor and you had to go in there and lie and do all that, it's not really. Yeah, it's not really you. So then you have a different display of yourself to everybody else when you're.
Ria
Playing as a fable too. It's like, like you said, you're being, you're honest. True. It's like this, it's a golden boy is a rot. Like it's like maybe a little much, but it's like they're like, this is our golden boy. Look at him telling the truth again. He's getting these traitors out. Fran
So we all strategized for what we're gonna do if someone threw red. So, like, before Brittany came at me, I was strategizing more because I was like, this show is designed for two winners. If you're faithful. Like, the fact that they don't reveal who the last traitor is, like, it's designed the smart strategies to bring it down to two. So I was doing that. Like, I think at the time it was going to be me and Gabby. As long as she was aligned, like, I was still earning her trust.
Ria
Right.
Fran
But I had kind of made that strategy to end it with me and Gabby. And then once I had the roundtable with Brittany, I was just like, holy shit. Like, I know for sure Brittany is a trader now. I know they're all faithfuls. So, like, there's no point in me bringing it down to two. Like, if someone throws red, I know what to do.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
But I'm not going to make that call is.
Ria
I know, like, obvious. You know, there's money, you win, there's a prize. Like, it's a. It's a good amount of money. But when you obviously becomes less when you split it more ways. Was that ever discussed or was everyone like, you know, we really believe we're all faithful, so let's split it. Because it's, you know, cuts your money in half.
Fran
Yeah, but. So let's do the math real quick. It's. It's. Let's say we cut Dolores out first. So then we won with three people. Yeah.
Ria
Yep.
Fran
I think that's 50k split three ways. We got. I'm not that good of math. 18, 17k after tax. 10k. Like Dolores Friendship. 10k.
Ria
Right, right, right.
Fran
What? What? Like, it wasn't really a factor for us.
Ria
Right.
Fran
If it was a million dollar price pie, I think we would have thought. We would have thought twice. Maybe.
Dylan Efron
But also more to share.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
You know, have you seen some of, like, the online chatter? Because. Because the show is so popular and everybody loves it, that there's been, like, different pl, like, points of the game that they're challenging of. Like, hey, maybe we should change this. Maybe the prize pop bigger. Maybe the challenges change a little bit. What do you think about that? Like, how do you think the game would change if it. If it was more money?
Fran
I don't. Like, I'm on the stance that I don't think the game needs to change.
Ria
Yeah, I don't think so either. I think it's perfect.
Fran
Totally. Like, of course I want more physical challenges. Like, every time there's a physical challenge, I was like, yeah, yeah. But then, like, I see why they can't do only physical challenges. Like, the trivia wasn't not my chance to win, and, like, of course I lost that mission, but that's giving people who aren't physical a chance to win. So. So it's. It's good. Of course. Like, more money, for sure. Like, more money.
Dylan Efron
But then now you're gonna be like, I wish I was on the next season.
Ria
It's crazy because it really. It definitely would. It definitely would play a part, for sure. Yeah. There'd be much more greed.
Fran
Much more greed coming into play, for sure.
Dylan Efron
People would be, like, as feisty as they were, they would be even feistier. Was there at any point, did you want to be a traitor or did you want to be a faithful?
Fran
No. So going in, I've played a lot of mafia. Have you guys played that game? And I hate being the traitor. So going in, I knew I wanted to be a faithful, but I didn't want to ruin the show by saying that. I saw Sam go in and just say, like, no, I want to be a faithful. I was like, you could do that. So I was like, yeah, I don't care. But, like, I'd rather be faithful. So, yeah, I was trying to, like, play it up. I wanted to be a faithful. And I was. I think I told Alan as well, like, I either want to be a faithful or recruited. And if I was recruited, that would have been my chance to take all the money for sure.
Ria
Right.
Fran
So I was in a good spot.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
How did you sleep at night?
Ria
Oh, terribly.
Fran
It's so, like, you don't get much sleep, and I didn't have any supplements or anything. That was just a stupid me. Like, I put all my supplements into one bag, and they. As soon as I showed up, they're like, you can't have any supplements that aren't labeled. So they just took all my supplements out the day I arrived. So I didn't have, like, any. Yeah, I got just a loose bag of pills.
Ria
Yeah, you're not gonna be allowed to take this.
Fran
I was the most underprepared in that sense. Like, I threw my outfits together, stuff like that. But Every night we'd get home maybe 2am or something, and they'd give you, like, a little Scottish sleeping pill, which is, like magnesium or something.
Ria
Like, it's very basic, very light.
Dylan Efron
Melatonin. Ye.
Fran
Like, I would. I would try to get four. I'm like, come on, give me, like, please. Yeah, it was all I cared about. There's, like, all these snacks and stuff. I'm like, give me three. Four.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. Because we saw Sierra say on Summer House that you guys got your phones once a week for 30 minutes or once every six days for 30 minutes.
Fran
That's about it. Some people got it more. I think it depends on the loud voices, get fed or whatever.
Dylan Efron
Right, right, Right now. So was there any worry that people were gonna be texting each other if they got their phone, or was it monitored?
Fran
It was all monitored. So, you know, a fun part was, like, when we first got our phones, the cast list was out, like, to the public. So I remember I called my girlfriend, and she's. I can't respond, but there's someone there, and she's like, can I tell you, like, who the people on the cast are and, like, who I think you should be friends with? So she starts talking, but I have it on mute, so I, like, can't respond. The moderator's right there, and she's just. She's a Bravo fan, so she's like, I think you're going to get along with Sierra. And I'm like, yeah, I am. And she's like. She's just giving me background on everybody. She's like, dolores is fiery, like, but if she's on your team, it's good. I was like, yeah, I'm doing that. It was like. It was kind of like giving me, like, re. Re. Or, I don't know, like, confirmation.
Dylan Efron
So you couldn't vocalize?
Fran
I couldn't vocalize, no.
Ria
So that's so interesting. She's just like, you're. She's just like, okay, I'm just gonna talk.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, but shout out. Shout out to her for giving you the strategy.
Fran
Yeah, no, it was fun because a lot of them I didn't know going in. And now. Now I'm more versed in the Bravo world. Right. Right now it's a lot.
Ria
Are there. Do you think there's any. Any new Bravo shows you'll pick up now that you've met some of these people?
Fran
Like. Like which ones I've been watching. Yeah, yeah. Summer House. I really like Southern charm, too. Southern charm's hilarious.
Dylan Efron
Now you're into so you're into summer house and Southern charm.
Fran
Yeah. They kind of cross over a little bit.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, they do.
Ria
They do. They definitely do.
Dylan Efron
Especially lately.
Ria
Yeah, I know. I actually think Craig would be so. I wanted Craig to do that. He'd be really good on the traitors because they're always. His whole thing, every season is like, he's lying. Craig's a liar. Craig's a liar. So let's put. Let's put the lying to the test.
Fran
And he's a lawyer and stuff.
Ria
Yeah, I think I. I think it would actually be very good. You mentioned that you kind of, like, threw all your outfits together. Were you surprised with how everybody was stepping out when. When they were doing the show?
Fran
No, I knew. I knew people would bring. Yeah, but, yeah, I. I knew I wasn't going to be the one making headlines. I actually did my sweaters, which was shocking. But. But, yeah, I went much more with the comfort. Like, I was wearing Birkenstocks. Like, yeah, this is our home. Like, let's treat it that way. Sweaters. Yeah.
Ria
I love Dolores, towards the end was just like, I'm not doing it anymore. She's just like, I'm. She's. I'm wearing my comfy clothes. I can't keep doing this.
Dylan Efron
I mean, how can you blame her?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
No, every morning she's like, oh, it's me, and I'm ready to go. I'm getting burned. She's like, oh, it wasn't me. All right.
Dylan Efron
Oh, my God.
Ria
That's amazing. We had Boston Rob in here a few weeks ago. It was great. And he does love you. And I think everybody love him, too. Everybody's watched that. That bromance form, and there was maybe even some. Some jealousy at the. At the reunion. I felt like they were like, oh, you know, Bob Harper was like, nobody's picking me up from the airport.
Fran
I had to go to his hot yoga class yesterday because I was making, like. Had to make amends.
Dylan Efron
All the raps, all the bars.
Ria
What. How. How fun has it been to keep that friendship going?
Fran
It's great. We're actually going to Florida to the Players Championship next week.
Dylan Efron
So fun.
Fran
So we're gonna hang out more, make some more videos, I'm sure.
Dylan Efron
Oh, that's amazing.
Ria
Funniest thing, like, seeing people, because there. I think there is a whole world of a new generation that's being introduced to Boston Rob for the first time. Even on my flight, we were traveling yesterday. There were two young girls behind me, and they were like, oh, my God, have you seen Young Boston Rob, like, it's just so funny. And they were like. And the mom, they were traveling with their mom, their mom was like, oh, my God, you never watched a Survivor season. And he, he has four daughters. Like, right. So it's so sweet.
Dylan Efron
I mean, it's amazing. I mean, Ciara said it at the reunion. She was like, I didn't know you were like, hot.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And then Bob the Drag Queen's like, were hot is crazy.
Ria
It's amazing. Were you a little jealous of the Emilio Bilado's dinner that happened the other night?
Fran
Oh, yeah, I wanted to be there. I was definitely jealous. But my agent actually put that together.
Ria
Oh, my gosh, I love that. That's. That, that's amazing. So are there any other, like, friendships you think you'll obviously boss or rob? Any other friendships you think you'll really take away from. From the game?
Fran
Yeah. So the hard part is like, and this goes back to like what I do on social media, like, I'm so blessed to have friends all over the world, but that at the end of the day, they live all over the world. So it's like we stay in touch over the phone and stuff like that. But as far as, like, who I'm seeing in la, I've seen Sam quite a bit. Really like Sam, he's great. And then Wells, I play golf with.
Dylan Efron
A lot, so justice for Wells.
Fran
I know that was a.
Ria
That was definitely a tough one for Wells. Did you see all the jokes towards the beginning of the season? Because when they were really like putting everybody's names to identify everybody and everyone kind of had their show underneath and you're sitting down to earth and everyone was like, wow. Just thought he was being described as a down to earth, Dylan, down to earth guy.
Dylan Efron
Down to earth guy. I know.
Ria
Did you see all that?
Fran
I did, I did. So, so many people still don't know.
Ria
Well, I thought it was very funny.
Fran
It was, it was cool because, like, I went in with such a low bar. Like, it really was maybe like Sam and I were about the same. They're like, what are these two doing on the show? But I really enjoyed that because it was like, I didn't have to do that much to be like, oh, wow, he's smart. Like, he has a brain. Like, people were just expecting me to be a fly on the wall. Like, just be there, to be there. So it was cool. It was a good place. I like having a low bar.
Ria
Yeah. It's always the place to start. You can only go up.
Dylan Efron
Nice guy. Tell the truth. And it's up from there.
Fran
That's it. I played a golf tournament the other day. I had the worst round, and everyone's like, oh, it's okay. He's getting better. And then I played really good the next day, and everyone's like, oh, okay. Like, I just have to hit the bottom.
Ria
Just low to start. It will bring. Bring. We'll bring it back up for everybody. Well, it was really. It was just so much fun watching. Do you think, like, did you get the bug to do more shows?
Fran
Yeah, for sure.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Fran
Because that's how I've lived my life, to be honest. It's like, I. I've never. I've always chased experiences, and that's why I love travel and learning new stuff. So, like, to me, this was an experience of a lifetime. And if I can do that again on another show, like. Like Special Forces, for example, like being able to jump off a helicopter and then, like, stuff like that, that would.
Dylan Efron
Be a great one.
Fran
Yeah. Like, I'm super down for more experiences. I want to take my time and, like, find the right next step and everything. But, yeah, I'm definitely down for more.
Dylan Efron
And are you.
Ria
Force is a good one because you are. And they put you in. You know, you're traveling all over the place, too.
Dylan Efron
Are you in on Survivor if they ask you?
Fran
I think you have to apply. And it would honestly be up to Jeff Probst. Like, I don't know.
Dylan Efron
Have you met him yet?
Fran
I. I have met him once. He's. He's really nice, so I would totally do it. But it seems. It seems like they cast. They don't really cast people. Like, they. They want. They want to find those unique people. So.
Ria
Yeah, I mean, we know it's.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, we have. You know, Tommy's coworker.
Fran
I saw. I saw. He talked to him the other day.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
That was awesome.
Ria
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And you and Tommy actually said a similar thing, like you said before about Traders. You wanted to know about the strategy that goes into the game. Because Tommy, now, he's just like, I'll go on whatever reality show. He's like, but I want to know if there's strategy. He's like, I don't want to go on a show unless I have to strategize.
Fran
I would go on Survivor with Tommy.
Ria
That would be good.
Fran
We'd form an alliance and I'd cut his throat first.
Dylan Efron
You would have to before he gets out, because, you know he would turn on you.
Fran
Absolutely.
Ria
Exactly. No, that's. That is for sure. Well, we can't wait to see what show you decide to do next. I think it was so much fun watching you on on Traders. It was a blast. Congratulations on. Huge congratulations. It was really like a status so such a great satisfaction for everybody.
Dylan Efron
I was like kicking my feet. I was like yay.
Ria
I know, really, it was, it was great. So thank you so much for coming in talking.
Fran
Thank you for having me.
Dylan Efron
Thank you, Dylan.
Ria

We are here with a very special guest. We are joined by the bachelor, Grant Ellis. Thank you so much for joining us, Grant.
Matt
Thanks for having me. I'm excited. Barstool is an amazing platform so I'm excited. Thanks for having me.
Dylan Efron
Love that.
Ria
I was gonna say off to a great start.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Ria
Wow. Let's get this going, Grant.
Matt
Gotta compliment you guys.
Ria
That's very kind. Thank you. We're super excited to have you here. Talk about this season and everything that's happened. I love when we get the bachelor of the Bachelorette. Like after some some time has gone on the episodes of air we can really talk about what's, what's been happening have you been feeling since the show's been on.
Matt
Man, it's a Lot. You know, it's a lot. You know, you put yourself out there, and you. You try new things, and you.
Dylan Efron
It's.
Matt
It's a lot. But, you know, I'm. I'm really grateful for the experience. It's been amazing. And the people that you meet and then the relationships that you form with no spoilers. But, you know, I think that, yeah, I couldn't ask for a better experience.
Dylan Efron
How do you compare the way that you were feeling at the beginning of the season airing? Like, oh, my gosh, my season's about to air. I'm gonna have to watch it on TV to. Now you've been through most of the episodes. How are you feeling between the two?
Matt
Oh, man, that's a great question. I think I'm still excited. You know, hometowns and then fantasy suites and then the finale. But I think excitement is the main word. And then, you know, I think maybe starting off, I was a little more nervous, but now I've settled into it and I'm used to seeing myself, like, on tv.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, I'm sure the nerves are a little bit of a roller coaster because it's like, oh, my gosh, I'm. Well, you've seen yourself on TV before, but now this is a different setting. So it's like you're watching it again, and then it takes a little, you know, plateau, and then all of a sudden it's like, okay, but now we're about to reach the finale, so the nerves start maybe ramping up a little bit again.
Matt
Yeah, they ramp up. And then, you know, when I was on the Bachelorette, it's not my story, so it's very easy to not expect, you know, you. Oh, well, you know, I was there. You have a date in here. But then when you're on the Bachelor, you're the lead. It's like, it's your story. Everything you do, you're in almost every scene. And there's.
Ria
So you can't fast forward.
Fran
You can't fast forward.
Ria
You can't.
Matt
It's like you're everywhere. So it's definitely. Definitely. It's. It's a. It's a different experience.
Ria
Were there any, like, pressures on yourself or stories about yourself that you wanted to make sure you told as. As the lead?
Matt
I think just coming in there, you know, I think my main goal was to, you know, find a wife and then. And then secondary. I just wanted to set a good example. I wanted to lead with love and just be somebody who was open and was vulnerable. And, you know, I think I Think to show, like, you know, I think I've cried on the show, like, four or five times, and then there's more to come. But it's, like, just to show that as a man, you could be strong, but you also, you know, it's good to be vulnerable. Just, you know, pick and choose your times, you know, and when, you know, it's good to open yourself up and express yourself. So that was probably my main, you know, one of my main things. And, like. And that was in the back of my mind, you know?
Ria
Yeah. Yeah. Were there any hesitations for you? Like, kind of just deciding to be the Bachelor? I know we kind of got, like, the announcement a little bit earlier on through the Bachelorette season, so people had time to prep and get ready and get excited for your season. When they approached you about it, what was your first initial thought?
Matt
I was so naive to the process. I was like, man, you know, opening yourself up to public scrutiny, and, you know, like I said, you're the lead, so you're making all the decisions, and. And, you know, maybe sometimes you don't sit up straight enough or you're. Or you're in. You're doing something. It's like, I didn't. I was. So I was just like, yeah, I didn't have any concerns. I was like, I'm just gonna go for it, you know, so. And that's the way I kind of do things. And then, yeah, I think it's good to have, you know, to have confidence in yourself sometimes, to be delusional in.
Ria
Your confidence, you know?
Matt
Like, I think that's a good thing, you know, Like, I went on the show and, like, played the piano, and I never did that in my life before, but in my mind, you know, I just. I wanted to put myself out there, and then whoever I'm gonna be with is gonna set me for who I am, you know, so that was a big point for me.
Dylan Efron
I do appreciate delusion of confidence sometimes. Right. Like, when I see someone out there doing their thing, and I'm like, you know what? I respect it. I respect that you can put yourself out there like that, like, for anybody who does that. Now, with social media getting so much bigger from the way. Beginning of the show and every season, it's. Is this person here for the right reasons? That conversation comes up. How did you feel going into this? How you were going to weed out genuine verse, you know, wrong reasons.
Matt
Well, you know, I think that you could. Unless somebody's a really good liar, which there are people out there that Are you could kind of tell who's there, you know, for you based on interest. But then when you go on the show, you never know. You never know. You never know if somebody's doing things for the show or doing things for you. But I think the longer you get to know somebody, if you click and connect and you vibe with somebody, then there's time to grow, you know, and.
Dylan Efron
Maybe if somebody is there just to be on tv, but then they're like, oh, wait, we have a connection. That's what I'm saying.
Matt
And I think that might be a possibility. Some people go in there, like, listen, listen, whatever happens, you know, and then you made the person like, I actually like this person.
Dylan Efron
Right. I feel like that conversation has to happen more because we've seen it, you know, on other shows as well, where someone says, you know, I went on, I thought it was a good opportunity, but then I really found a connection with this person, which is also great, too.
Matt
Exactly. And, like, I, you know, with the relationship with. That I had with the ladies on the show, especially ones that I was really close with, like, if. If somebody were to tell me, like, listen, I don't know if I'm feeling it. Like. Like, you know, I would be like, okay, well, like, I got you. Like, I'm, you know, I'm not gonna. I won't. Not gonna put you out there, you know, I want to see you shine, do your thing, you know, But I'm. That's the type of dude I am, and I. I'm going on there looking for a relationship, you know, so if somebody's just open and upfront with me, I'm not gonna hold them. Hold that against them, you know, for sure.
Ria
Yeah, definitely. What's it like watching it back now? Because, of course, you were there for all your moments and conversations, but when you watch it back, you see the girls talking and what was going on in the house and what. That, you know, what was being said there. Have you had any moments of, like, oh, I had no idea that happened.
Matt
I mean, you kind of.
Dylan Efron
You.
Matt
You have an idea of things like, okay, being the lead, you only see. You probably see less than half of what's going on, because I say less than half because, you know, a little bit. But you're so busy dealing with everything else that you don't know everything that's going on. But you kind of. Of could tell by the energy in the room on the group dates and, like, who the girls aren't getting along with. And then you start to put two and two together and like, okay, well, every time this is happening, this person is acting this way or that. So. But you, as a lead, you have to allow for things. Well, at least for me, you can't jump to conclusion. You have to allow for things to kind of just play out, and everybody's going to have an opinion on what they feel you should do. But for me, just wanted to let things play out for as long as they could so I could really know when I made a decision. It was the right. It was the right.
Ria
Could you tell earlier in those earlier weeks that, like, the. It was Zoe who was kind of in the mix with the girls, getting a little, like, maybe salty with her for her movements?
Matt
I knew. Yeah, I knew, you know, with Zoe that she's the type of person. And this is why maybe some people have questions or whatever, but Zoe is somebody who put her best. Her best out there in everything she did. And she went through a lot in her life, and I saw that. And I saw that she. She didn't pout. She didn't complain. She just. She was there for, you know, what the. The main reason, you know, which was to try to form a connection, and she wouldn't let anything get in her way. So I really. I really appreciate that about her. But you could tell. You could tell when people are there, and you could see. You could kind of put. Unless you're just oblivious to, you know. So you could tell. You definitely could tell.
Ria
Yeah, that is true. I mean, it's because if we can sense it watching, like that first, the big basketball date when she pulled you away and you guys go back down and everyone like. Does it feel awkward in those moments?
Matt
I'm gonna say the most awkward thing is the group dates.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Matt
Because it's like you're talking to somebody, and then you have to. You don't want to give too much attention. You want to, like. And then everybody's, like, kind of competing with each other. And then I. My favorite time was the one on one time. Because I really get to lock in and learn about somebody and learn what they like, what they don't like, and who they are, as opposed to group taste is kind of. It's just weird. I've never. I've never been on a group.
Dylan Efron
I mean. Yeah, right. Who has besides on this show? But were there moments when someone would pull you away while you're talking to somebody else and you're kind of like, well, you don't want to be pulled away right now, but you're trying to Be respectful. Trying to give everybody that time.
Matt
Yeah. I mean, yeah, of course, but that's the name of the show. You know, as a lead, you have to. Well, there's no rules, you know what I'm saying? You could definitely tell somebody, like. But I tried to give the ladies a fair chance to show me who they were.
Ria
Right.
Matt
To show me who they were. And the right person for me was going to. Through any situation unless there was clear disrespect. They were going to let the process unfold and they know what it was, and they were going to let our connection form without being forced.
Ria
It's like a. Can I steal you for a second? Like, dance off?
Matt
Yeah. Right.
Ria
Like, it's like. So they keep coming in and then they circles back and they come back again. Right. So no, that. And. And that happens all the time on the show. So I'm sure it's like you have. You kind of have to be like.
Matt
Yeah, I don't want to, but yeah. I mean, I don't. I don't know if there's ever been. I don't know. Has there ever been somebody who's been like, no, like, you can't. I don't know.
Ria
I. Normally the lead I feel like is like, okay. Or they're like, let me get. Give me 30 seconds. Exactly.
Dylan Efron
Because if they were to say no, right. Like, you have to do it in a polite way, which would be like, hey, give me a couple seconds, and whatever. But if they say no, it's sort of like, well, if you were interested in that person, you would get up.
Matt
Right now, and it sends a message to the rest of the rest of the group that you are really interested in person.
Dylan Efron
Kind of closed off. Yeah.
Ria
Yeah. How did you feel watching these moments back these. The last couple weeks with Carolina and kind of the attitude that maybe she was having in the house versus maybe talking to you. I don't know if, like, you did seem to pick up on her energy. Yeah. And in the. In the dates and those things. And obviously was causing issues in the house of. Of how she was acting. What'd you kind of think watching it. Watching it back?
Matt
Watching it back was definitely interesting, to say the least. It was interesting. You know, my thing was, you know, you kind of know what you're here, you know what you sign up for. You know what this is. But it's like, I mean, analogy is like, if you say, if you're in a house and you're like, oh, if somebody breaks down the door, I'm gonna go and fight them, and then it actually happens. And then you're like, oh, like, you may. You don't know what you're gonna do. So in the situation, you can go in the Bachelor and say, I'm gonna keep my composure. But then when it happens, you know, you might catch feelings, and you might. You know, so that's why it's a. It's when you're on TV like that, it's like staring in the mirror. It reveals your character, and it reveals who you are, and it's not only for you to see. It's for everybody.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, it could really strip you down.
Matt
It could strip you down.
Dylan Efron
You don't have any of the, like, outside devices. You're closed off from the rest of the world.
Matt
You're closed off from the rest of the world, and then you're making. Every decision you make is on you, you know, like. And you can't take it back. So, yeah, seeing some of that, it was surprising. I kind of. You know, I picked up on some things, but I. Like I said, I tried to diffuse situations and allow. And I didn't want people to really feel like they were being isolated or, like, ostrich ostracized. And I just didn't want that. So I tried to really be like a mediator.
Ria
Was it. Was it. Sorry, go ahead. Was it tough? Because you guys did have a really great one on one date. And then, like, how. How were you feeling in the moment? Being, like, why. How is she not remembering that? We do have.
Matt
That was the hardest thing for me. And honestly, that was the downfall of. I'm not gonna say downfall, but that was where things took a turn because we had such a great date. Like, we took a private jet, and our personalities were very similar. Like, we joke around. We both, you know, we're beatboxing, we're making jokes, and, you know, we got our own handshake, and we're doing this little headbutt thing, and then we jump off a building. So going back, I was like, wow, this person. Person. This person is like, this person could be my friend. I can see myself, like, joking around with this person and being myself around them. And then to go back and hear, you know, the questioning and then not only questioning the process kind of questioning you, and, you know, I think that's what. That it hurts.
Ria
Right, Right. But, yeah, it'll be interesting to see what she says during the. The woman tell, because I also feel like sometimes women throw that up as a. As a defense mechanism, because I bet you her feelings were there. And she was like, but I don't even know him. Like, you know, like, you're kind of like, you're trying to be like. Like tough guy a little bit to protect yourself. I kind of feel like maybe that's what she was going through.
Matt
Yeah.
Dylan Efron
And did you find it a little bit disorienting, watching, being like, well, we have this connection, but this is how she's acting with the ladies. And, like, you feel like almost like you think you know somebody, but then you're watching, you're like, wait, maybe I really don't know that person.
Matt
Yeah. And you know something, too. Not everybody. I'm not going to say not everybody's built for.
Grant Ellis
It's.
Matt
It's some people.
Ria
Not everybody is built for. That is true.
Dylan Efron
It's very true.
Ria
It's true.
Grant Ellis
It's true.
Matt
It's nothing against Carolina. Like, I think that, you know, that environment is hard. You just form a connection, and you got to watch somebody go on a date, and then they may be talking to you or showing you attention, and then the next day they're like, they're not.
Ria
Yep.
Matt
So you have to really be secure in yourself. Like, really secure in yourself and who you are and what you provide and what you offer. And. Yeah. Just. It's not. As I said, it's not for everybody. Some people unravel during it, and that's just what happened.
Ria
Totally. So we just watched you go on some hometown dates, and I will say, all seemed pretty great. Like, everybody's family was pretty open and welcoming. Did you feel that way going in? What were your nerves like, going into home towns?
Matt
It's nervous. I'm pretty good with families. Like, I'm chill. You know, I'm like. I'm not like. But going in there, you. You always. You have to meet people's moms and dads and brothers and uncles.
Ria
Yeah. If you're Juliana, you're her entire experience.
Matt
Everybody. You mean everybody. So it's. It's nervous. But I just went in there, I said, I'm gonna be myself, and whoever accepts me for me is gonna accept me. You know, that's the person that I'm probably gonna end up with. So, yeah, at that point, you know, I had connections, and meeting the family was something that was going to be a big tell all for me.
Ria
What was your confidence level like with specifically Zoe? Because I think a lot of people were like, wow, this is kind of crazy that she's getting a hometown and you really hadn't had that. You know, she didn't get a one on one date. And you went on like, then you take her for hometowns. I think people were really surprised by that. So how did you feel about your connection, like with Zoe at that point?
Matt
Yeah, I really, I thought that Zoe. I saw a lot of potential in Zoe and from the beginning how she came off a certain way, but I realized that it stemmed from, you know, some things that maybe happened in her childhood. And she became, she was, you know, maybe it caused her to be a little defensive or on the offense at certain times because she knows she probably had been an underdog before, where she's coming from, from living in the south, being a black woman. So I saw that and I was like, I was like, okay, this person, regardless of what anybody that's watching the show thinks of our connection, I know I see something in her that makes for. That has resilience and that I could relate to. So that was the basis of my decision. And then hometowns would have been a good tell if we could build on our connection.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, right.
Ria
Why do you think you didn't give her a one on one before?
Matt
Because earlier on she was a little bit. I'm not gonna say she was closed off. Yeah, it seemed to me that she was closed off. And then our final two conversations, she started to open up to me and then I started to understand. I was like, wow, okay, well, this is why. She was like that. This is why. And then I was like, I started to see her for who she was and then I felt that she, not to say deserved, but like she was somebody I could see myself understanding and.
Dylan Efron
To not even have a one on one, but to feel like the connection is so strong there, to go to hometowns just speaks volumes in itself.
Ria
Yeah.
Matt
Speaks volumes. And to be. So if that would have happened to.
Ria
And for her too, she's struggling.
Matt
If that would happen to somebody else, they would have been like, well. And she was like, you know what? I'm gonna see where this could go. And it's like, who doesn't want somebody strong like that?
Ria
Yeah, definitely. It can always be interesting. Blending families, blending faith. Religion was a big thing. When you had Latia meeting her family and she talked to you about, you know, growing up in the Mormon faith and that's, you know, part of her family.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
What were your thoughts about. About that? I feel like that's gotta be maybe the most nerve wracking thing.
Matt
Yeah, that was. That was nerve wracking coming in there and too, you know, like, I understand why. I understand why she waited until that moment to tell me because that's a big. That's something big. Something really big. And I. Not to say I was nervous. I just didn't know about the Mormon faith. I didn't know what it entailed, but I knew at that point that we had a connection and something. As far as a belief system, you know, it does play a big role, but it's not everything. You know, you get to know somebody and you never know what could happen. So it was something that was. It was big news to me. But I was at that point, like, I'm really open to it.
Dylan Efron
Really open to it. Especially when their family's also open to other beliefs as well. There was a strong reaction to her waiting to tell you. From the people watching, you feel kind of the opposite of that. Like, you just said, you were like. You understand why she waited?
Matt
That's a good question. I understand why she waited. Because, you know, something like that, when you're going on a show, you don't want to. That's something could put a. Put a wrench in a relationship. And if you do it right off the. Rip off the jump, then maybe she. She didn't want that to happen.
Dylan Efron
And people sort of might label her right at the beginning, rather than waiting to, you know.
Matt
Exactly, exactly. Or you go in there and you just write off the jump. You know what I'm saying? And. And this is who I am. This is what it is. And then by the time you get to hometowns, if I'm still here, then, yeah. You know what I'm saying? But either way, there's a method behind both of them. So, like I said, I understand why she did it. And, yeah, I get it.
Ria
Was it disappointing that Tina's family didn't want to, you know, kind of be involved in the. In the process?
Matt
I think I was more. I felt more for her.
Ria
Yeah, for.
Matt
In that. In that journey. Because for me, like I said, I, like, family is big, but at the end of the day, the relationship is between you and the person. But I just didn't. I wanted her to feel supported. And when I saw her friend show up, I was like, okay. But at first when she told me, I was like, man, that sucks. Because not. Not so much about how us. It's just about, like, on a big. A big moment like that for your family not to be there. And that hurts, you know, And I'm.
Dylan Efron
Sure it really hurt for her, too, the way she's feeling. Yeah, right.
Matt
And then everybody else's family is There and then, like, I'm not knocking it. Like, I. But I just felt that I'm like, man, everybody else's family is there, and. And I felt for her in that moment.
Ria
So because she went home, I feel like it is easy for people to jump to, like, oh, well, her family didn't show up. What was kind of the deciding factor of her being the one sent home? Did that come into play or.
Matt
No, no. Her family not being there. It wasn't that. I think with Dena, it was a new dynamic of a relationship, and. And at the end of the day, just comes down to compatibility. Like, things that I was looking for. Deena had. But there was a level of emotional connection that I was looking for that I felt like in that time wasn't there. And it wasn't there with Zoey either. But with Zoe, I felt like down the road, because of certain circumstances she had went through in her life, I could relate more to her, and I could kind of unlock that in her as opposed to Dina. I didn't know how much we could. I didn't know.
Ria
The potential seemed to be there a little bit more, maybe.
Matt
Yeah, it seemed to be the. And I just made the decision based off of that.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Ria
Yeah, it does.
Dylan Efron
Now, going into the woman tell all, what can we expect?
Ria
I don't know.
Matt
I don't know. I don't know. You know, I know there's gonna be some feelings towards me, and, you know, as the lead, being the Bachelor, it's very hard to escape without any cuts and bruises, you know, like, so just me going in there and just being humble and realizing that, you know what? I'm a man. I make mistakes, but I did the best I could, and I try to lead with love, and, you know, I hope that you guys felt that. And just trying to diffuse any situations where people may have ill. Not ill will, but, like, any intention, any feelings towards me. Just trying to explain what I was thinking.
Dylan Efron
Right.
Ria
It's like you can really only do so much with, like, all of their relationships. It's like your connections with them. You could talk out the ladies, you know, you kind of have to let.
Dylan Efron
Them hash it out.
Matt
Let them hash it it out. Let them hash it out.
Ria
Well, you know what has been also kind of funny, Ria, is that I've gotten messages of people being like, grant does the. The woman. Women.
Matt
Oh, yeah. I'm getting a lot of other.
Ria
She does it too. And everyone's like, oh, Grant does the same thing. Ria does I have to, like, literally.
Dylan Efron
Force it out of my mouth. I'm like, women.
Matt
So what is the discrepancy with that? Is.
Dylan Efron
It's like. It's.
Ria
When you say. When you mean to say women, like a group of women.
Matt
I say woman.
Ria
Woman. I say, like, singular. Yeah, I learned it's a.
Dylan Efron
When it's a group, it's like, W, I, M, E, N. You know, that's how you pronounce it. Women. No, I'm telling you. But, like, I'm telling myself, too, you know? I mean. Yeah.
Matt
All the women.
Dylan Efron
Oh, no. All the ladies in the group. Yeah, right. It's just. It flows up. No, trust me, I feel you.
Matt
I started saying women. I started saying women, and then. Okay, I understand.
Dylan Efron
No, I. Trust me, I feel you. Okay. Like, I'm trying hard.
Ria
It does. Yes. No, that was funny. That was a funny, funny connection that I. Some people make.
Dylan Efron
Yeah.
Matt
It's crazy how people pick up when you people will. Literally smallest.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Especially, like, being from Long island, you know, some of the words, I just say it a little bit.
Ria
Yeah, you're from New Jersey.
Dylan Efron
Yeah, right. It just happens. And you're like, this is. This is how it's gonna be. You know?
Matt
I remember I came down the steps with Alex. I was like, what's up, girl? And people were like, he said, what's up, girl? Who does he think he is? I was like, just the way I talk.
Dylan Efron
You're like, that's how I talk. I don't know.
Ria
I'm on a date.
Dylan Efron
I'm on a date.
Matt
I'm just chilling, you know.
Dylan Efron
Right. Just trying to be myself here.
Matt
I know.
Ria
Yeah, absolutely. Well, not only have you had a, like, you know, meeting these women, sharing this for these relationships, you're also opening about your own family, your own, you know, childhood and growing up and those connections. What's it been like, kind of sharing your family stories, especially, you know, your relationship with your dad.
Matt
Yeah. I think that was one of the most beautiful things of the season for me, being so open about it. It was like therapy for me, you know, I think. And, like, I don't want to be that guy, to be like, you know, men should go to therapy. But I think that a lot of guys hold things in me being one of them. And then when you don't, you take it out, it ends up being taken out on people that you love. If you hold things in for too long, you know, something could go wrong. And then one day, you're just cursing people out or doing Something because you need to. You need to at least be able to talk about your feelings and, you know, so that you're. You're more emotionally aware of, like, where you're at. So during the season, I'm sitting behind the camera and I'm being asked certain questions and about my life and that I've held in for, like, 18 years. So I just. I got be like, whoa, I didn't like my father and this. And I start tearing up and crying, and then he comes on the show, and I'm like, oh, what the hell? You know, so. So it's crazy. I think that it was, like, it opened my eyes to how, you know, the importance of therapy and talking to your family.
Grant Ellis
For sure.
Dylan Efron
For sure.
Ria
No, that's great.
Dylan Efron
Yeah. And when you start, like, crying about something when you're talking about it, sometimes you can really realize, like, oh, wait, this really does affect me.
Ria
Right? Exactly. You're like, it's nice to talk it out. And you're doing it on a much bigger scale with a massive audience, which can be super impactful and help a lot of people, too, which is. Which is always great. So thank you for doing that. Appreciate that. And we are so excited to see how this plays out. We got Zoe, Latia, Juliana headed into that final. We have one more question. Thanks to Armani Beauty. I know you can't reveal too much because, you know, no spoilers or anything, but we see the teasers, we see that it seems like you're really like. Like, the head space is. Is tough. I think there was one line in the. In the teaser that was like, will this be my downfall? Something like that. I was like, oh, downfall. That's. That's. That. That doesn't sound great. What can you say about, you know, how this is going to come to an end?
Matt
Yeah, I think that it just a testament to how. How great the women were. The. The ladies were.
Ria
I said that. Sorry. Now I called you out for it.
Matt
The ladies were, you know, and, you know, being the second black bachelor ever, you know, there's a lot of. There's an extra added level of pressure that. That comes with it. But ultimately, you know, you have. You make a decision on what is the best thing for you. And with the two ladies that were there at the end, they were so great. They were honestly one of a kind. Like, I don't know where they. I don't know where casting got them from. I don't know where they came from, but they were one of a kind. And it just. It just added for. I just needed a little more time to flesh things out and.
Ria
Right. That's you're like the, the privilege of time isn't one you really get on this. You don't really get on this show as much, but we can't wait to see how this plays out. Grant, thank you so much. Honestly, it's going to be tonight that everyone can watch the women tell all and see what, what happens there and then. We're really looking forward to the finale next week. Thank you so much for joining us and chatting with us.
Dylan Efron
