And we ended up staying up watching the whole movie on cable.

Commercials and everything except for the whole thing. Lauren came over. We were yapping.

It was good. I was gonna say, though, my friends were cracking me up because the same ownership group, like the restaurant bar ownership group, obviously 511 Franklin is like this. They, you know, they got three, two one, Bowery. Yeah, they got one, two, three, Detour and West Pa. So it's funny, like, when we posted the graphic, they all sent it to me and they were like, I'd recognize that font anywhere. It's a gift. Yep, should be fun. Weekend was. Weekend was lovely. Went to the Yankees game. I definitely was like, a little sick towards the end of the week. Friday I was struggling big time, but woke up feeling better on Saturday. Went to the Yankees game, a historic game. Torpedo bats we got. I was there to witness controversy and history.

Those damn bats, huh?

[Rhea]

Yeah, I guess they're juice of the bats, you know, legal. Apparently it's legal.

[Fran]

All legal.

They've changed the shape.

[Fran]

That shit's going to be banned of the bats. Either every team's gonna have it or it's gonna be banned.

And what's crazy is we were. We were a little late to the game and I was with a big group of people. We got into the elevator and one of the kids was like, look on his phone. He goes, oh, my God. Oh my God. The first three guys homer right away. And we were all like, what? Like everyone in the elevator was like, freaking out. Then there was like a second of silence and we could hear the announcer on the. On the speaker because they had the sound going in the elevator and they were like, ah, goes to show you folks, even the early games gotta make sure you're here on time. And everyone was like, ah, shit. But we did make it to see the fourth home run of the first inning and then all the rest of them, obviously. But yeah, if you missed that, I guess the. Some of the Yankees players changed the shape of their bats a little bit.

[Fran]

Yeah. So they hired someone to make these bats that are legal. Yeah.

[Rhea]

And fit into the parameters of what the bat people are talking about.

[Noah]

It is like they hired like Albert Einstein.

[Fran]

No. It's hilarious.

[Rhea]

It's so funny.

Yeah. I mean, which, by the way, Aaron Judge, all these home runs, couldn't do it in the postseason. But I'm not. I'm not here for. To give my, you know, my thoughts on that. But, yeah, that was actually incredible. And it was a beautiful day on Saturday. I'm sure it was a beautiful.

It was a great day for baseball, and we had a ton of fun. And, yeah, it was just like a frigging Home run Derby at the. At Yankee Stadium. So that was super exciting.

[Fran]

Yeah.

The Aaron Judge grand Slam was actually so sick. Like, I was. Everybody was losing their eyes.

[Fran]

I rolled my eyes. I. Because, you know. Yeah, I'm just like, where were you?

[Rhea]

Yeah, right, right, right. Where are you when the lights are bright?

[Fran]

You know, who cares about the second game?

[Rhea]

Yeah.

I mean, it was exciting.

[Rhea]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They put it up on the. On the big screen of, you know, most home runs in, like, Yankees history ever in a game. So it was. It was really exciting. We were throwing some money on the game. We were just, like, betting on guys hitting home runs. They just kept hitting home runs.

You're like, we might as well.

[Rhea]

It was. It was. It was incredible. You know what I was also laughing at, too, is like they do the. On the big screen during, you know, a break and play, they do all the birthday messages, and it was just like 10 birthday messages to these hilariously Italian names and one after the other. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cappuccini, Malinucci, Alessandro, like, all. Yes.

I did see people saying, like, ever since Yankees got rid of the, like, you can't have a beard rule now, they're just like, the best team in the world.

[Rhea]

Yeah. So it's just. That was. That was a lot of fun and then was just, you know, watch some basketball. I know you got a lot of basketball in over there. I did over the weekend. Sad for Gia and the Michigan State Spartans. You know, that was a. That was a tough one.

[Fran]

But Auburn.

[Rhea]

But Auburn. Yeah, I know. So happy for Claire.

[Fran]

Yeah, exactly.

It was a tough one. Toss up. Really. I mean, I did. I wore my Spartan shirt. I went to the bar with my sister, you know, supported. But Auburn's real. Auburn's really good. Auburn's really good. So first time. Only the second time ever. I'm really full of fun sports facts today. Only the second time ever that the Final Four has been all the number one seeds.

Last time it happened was 2008.

I didn't have one single team. My final Four. Correct.

I had a basketball filled weekend. I honestly had seriously a much needed spectacular weekend. Friday I fell asleep by 8.30pm I was supposed to go out. I ditched Noah and some others.

No, I didn't.

And Kelly was worth that outfit and everything.

No, but here's the thing.

If they had. I sometimes feel like I can read.

Yeah, I'm like, I wasn't really like you said you were gonna go out. But I was like, I'll believe it when I see it, right?

But here's the thing. I actually started to feel a little bit sick too at the end of the week. And I was like, ugh. You know, I don't feel like I really felt like I needed some rest, truly. And I was like, you know what, I gotta prioritize rest right now. Like I gotta get some rest. So we stayed in and I fell asleep at literally 8:30 and slept through the night. Like I was afraid. Well, I guess I wasn't that afraid cause I fell asleep. But Matt said the next morning he was Like, I thought you were gonna wake up at, like, 12 and then be up for the whole night. And I slept through the entire night, which was amazing, because then I woke up on Saturday, and it was so gorgeous out. But I had all this energy that we took as we took a long walk from our apartment in Jersey City to Hoboken. Got some brunch in Hoboken, then went back, took a nap, had a lovely date night. We went to this restaurant in Jersey. Has really good steak and sushi, Blue on the Hudson, and really good drinks. So that was a fantastic dinner. I had a dirty martini that blew my socks off. I'm not gonna lie. It was one of the best I've ever had. I was blue cheese, olives, the whole thing.

Delish.

And, Noah, get this. I'm becoming a fan of old fashions.

[Noah]

Wow. What happened?

Just the last couple, because Matt's go to is an Old Fashioned. I've taken a liking to. I've really taken a liking to the last couple.

There's so many different, like, iterations.

Yes. So, like, if it has a good.

You know, some might be smoky. I feel like you probably wouldn't like that.

[Fran]

No, no, I don't like. I don't typically like the smoky ones, but there's a place, dear Maude, in Hoboken that does pretty good cocktails, and they do, like, an apple Old Fashioned, which is really del. So there's been a couple lately where I'm like, ooh, and I'm doing that thing with my teeth, you know, when you, like, do the whole thing, and I'm, like, tasting it. I was like, you know, I'm getting this whole thing going. I'm really taking the liking to it. I'm like, oh, maybe we'll have a couple Old fashions. I like that. Yeah, it's delicious. And then we went to the Duke game, which was so much fun.

[Rhea]

You went to both games?

[Fran]

Yeah, we went Thursday night, and then we went Saturday night because it was right in Jersey, and it was so easy, very close to us. So we figured, why not? Yeah. And met some lovely, nice people. Good spirits at the game. Ken Jong was there. Okay. And he was in the same section. And the entire.

[Rhea]

Man won't miss a Duke.

[Fran]

No big Duke game. He won't. And let me tell you, the entire. Yeah, the entire game. I was like, should I go say something to him? Do I not say something? Like, do I get a selfie? Da, da. And there were so many people that were going up to him, and he was so Nice about it. Yeah. It's also such a big game that I was feeling conflicted.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Fran]

I was like, do I bother him? Do I not? He seems so nice. He's taking a picture with everybody. And I chickened out on the last second, and I was so disappointed in myself. I'm like, oh. Because I got a great picture with Ken Jong, and I was so disappointed in myself. But he was, like, having such a good time. And, like, he loved. He seemed like he loved having people come up to him.

[Rhea]

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[Fran]

I got nervous.

[Rhea]

It must be like that every time he goes to a. Yeah.

[Fran]

I mean, at one point, he has.

[Rhea]

To expect that if he's sitting out.

[Fran]

With people, people were, like, lining up. And then there were, like, times where nobody was around, and I was like, oh, should I go? Should I not go? And I got all nervous, so I didn't do it. So that one. I'm kicking myself a little bit about that. I'm like, ah, come on. Why'd you chicken out? But it was a fantastic night. I mean, Duke won, so mat Very, very happy. They won by 20, so that was a lot of fun.

Yeah. They crushed on. On Saturday.

[Fran]

Yeah, they. They did. So that was a blast. And then Sunday, another. Another good rest day, you know, Got some good rest, some good fun this weekend, and I'm feeling ready to go for the week. Ready to go for Florida.

I wanted to mention. I actually wrote this down in my notes Saturday night. I can't stop describing things using the word epic. And for the first 26 years of my life, I never used the word epic. I never described anything as epic. Now in my 27th year, it seems as though I describe everything as epic.

I don't know. It's like all of a sudden, you hit your late twenties and you start describing things as epic.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

Interesting. I don't think I've used epic since, like, college.

Ever. Until this year. I describe things as epic, and I've taken a notice to it. I actually, because I. I was at the restaurant, noticed. I wrote this down while I was in the bathroom at the restaurant, because I was walking to the bathroom, and in my head, I thought, this place is epic. And I thought, what? No, Exactly. I was like, huh? Why would you just describe this place as epic? That's not a word to describe it. You know, you could say beautiful, delicious. There's so many other adjectives you can use besides epic. And I had to Write it down in my notes that in my 27th year, I can't stop saying the word epic.

So what are you going to replace it with?

Nothing. I'm not replacing it.

And then just a mere two days later, we see Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney at Glen Powell sisters rehearsal dinner.

Wedding this weekend. Now, listen, is part of me like, hey, maybe Sidney just became really close with Glenn's sister while they were filming Anyone but you. And so she was invited. How close did they get that she was at the rehearsal dinner and not just the wedding?

Maybe it wasn't the rehearsal dinner. Maybe it was like a welcome party after the rehearsal. Yeah, it could be the welcome at the same place maybe. And that's.

I had that moment, too, where I just kind of laughed. So, like, pictures went viral, like, oh, my God, Cindy Sweeney's at Glenn Powell's sister's wedding in Texas, and here they are together, blah, blah, blah. And in my mind, I. And I just. I feel a little validated because of what TMZ wrote this morning, which I'll also read. But in my head this weekend, I was like, you know, our pal Glenn is such a good guy that. And I was like, they are good friends. That, like, maybe in this trying time for her, he was like, come to my sister's. Like, you know, like. Like, come be with the pal family. Like, you know, like, we're. You know, we're. We're all one big happy family. You'll have so much fun at the wedding. Like, that's, like, literally where my mind went. Now, granted, TMZ said she's been invited to the wedding for months. Like, Sydney's been invited, which also, honestly. So it does make sense. I feel like she would be invited after the journey that they. That they went on. But TMZ did say that Sydney and Glenn did not attend his sister's wedding rehearsal dinner as a couple. We're told that Sydney is attending the wedding with her best friend and rcp months ago, way before she and her fiance had postponed their nuptials. The source says Sydney is very good friends with the Powell family and has been very close with Glenn's sister Leslie for a long time.

But am I shocked that Morgan Wallen did it?

There are reports that all week long, like, he was there for rehearsal. He was in, he was out. Like, he was not hanging around. He was not mingling.

Source close to him told TMZ that he meant nothing by it and had routinely exited the studio the same way he had during rehearsal when he thought it was time to go. That's like, the lamest excuse ever. Sorry. Like, you know, you're. You're like, you're not gonna tell me? Morgan Wall was like, oh, I just thought it was time to leave.

Which was just honestly uncomfortable to see. Like. Like in real time. Like, you can see Paige come to the realization, like, I can't be with him. But then Craig walks in the room. He's like, am I interrupting something? And you're like, ah, yes.

I'm. I. Maybe I'm in the minority here. I'm not really sure, but I feel like the acting is superb.

I think the Acting is phenomenal. I think the writing is phenomenal. I really love the dialogue. I mean, Parker Posey is hilarious. Like, she is hysterical in this show. And I do feel an attachment to the characters. I just don't care about some of the storylines, and I feel that way about Gary. I wish they never brought.

[Rhea]

[Fran]

Yeah. I wish they never brought Gary into this, because I am so focused on the new characters, and I wanted to really get to know them that now I want to know what happens. It's not that I don't care, because now I do care, and I want to know what happens with Gary. I just feel like I want to know more about the newer characters, and I feel like there's a lot of focus. And I loved Belinda's character in the, you know, last seasons, and I think she's clearly gonna have a crucial role in this season. I just feel like we're missing some details about the other characters now because we're now focused on this plot that carried in. That carried over from the other seasons. So I'm feeling a little confused about that.

[Rhea]

Yeah, that's fair.

[Fran]

And I think maybe it's just me wanting to know more about the newer characters, but I feel like, once again, there's a lot of loose ends and there's only one episode left. And I'm like, how much action are we gonna pack into the last episode? Because there wasn't a lot of action in this episode. Was it interesting? Yes, but nothing shocking happened, you know, like, I wasn't like, oh, my God, I can't believe that happened. Nothing shocking happened in this episode. So, you know, I'm. I'm left feeling wanting more, you know, yearning for more. And there's only one episode left, so I don't know how much we're gonna get in that. There's a lot of. A lot of things that need to be tied up. So, yeah, I didn't not like it, but I wasn't obsessed. That's how I feel.

You know, I have so many thoughts about it, but, you know, it's where. Where to go.

I. I do agree with you. I think that there is. There's so much. Somehow. There is so much going on and nothing going on at the same time.

Like, because there are so many characters and there are so many, you know, character development, plot lines to follow that things are happening, but it still doesn't really feel like things are hap. Like, I don't know if. It's just also that I'm very disappointed in the way that the Rick storyline is all coming. Like for me, give me more. Belinda, Greg, Gary and what's going on there. Like that was more intriguing to me, that part of the episode of him offering her money, like what's going on there and tying up that storyline is. I want more of that. And let like, sorry, Rick showing up to this house and the whole thing. Nothing happened. He pushed him over.

I, I actually do agree with you on that part too.

[Rhea]

Like, I think, whatever. I know there's probably a deeper meaning to why it was just a push and the whole thing and, and there's a lot of people who are smarter than me online who will make all these great comparisons and analysis and like we'll say, oh, you know, it was really all symbolism that matched up to the, to the Muay Thai fighting that was happening and they were cutting to the fight scenes and going back to the, you know, I'm sure there's some very in depth analysis that I'll see tomorrow and I'll go, oh, that makes a lot more sense. But having that be kind of like the whole so much of that episode and then nothing happens.

[Fran]

I'm with you. I think for me it's either give me one or the other with the storylines. Either give me Gary and Belinda or give me Rick. But both of them, I feel just a little bit disconnected to the rest of the Castel. I think that's what it is. Like, I want all of them to be interacting with each other and you have Chelsea interacting, but Rick, not so much. I go back and forth because I'm like, because now do I want to know what's going to fucking happen with Gary and Belinda? Yes. And he offered her the money. She said she had to think about. I'm like, no, why would you say you have to think about it? Now he has time to go kill you. Like, you know, now I'm into it, but yeah, it's tough. Also I haven't seen many theories either because I haven't had Twitter on my phone since January. I literally deleted off my phone and I do not go on only for work purposes and I have somebody else do it. So I don't, you know, like Twitter a lot is where people like spread their theories. So I don't see any conversation happening about it while it's happening. So I gotta wait till it hits TikTok and everyone starts posting their theories on TikTok. So I'll probably see that today or tomorrow like you said. But I, I think I'm missing more interaction with the characters that are at the hotel too, like, you know, Saxon is interact, and Lachlan are interacting with, you know, Chelsea and Chloe. But then the three friends, Kate, Laurie, and Jacqueline.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Fran]

We haven't seen them interact with the other family or that one interaction with Parker Posey that we've never come back to. How Kate knew Parker Posey, but we've never come back to that. Yeah, that was just a random thing.

[Rhea]

And, Yeah, I mean, I think it was. One big point was, like, they did confirm that it was his Valentine's friends that robbed the hotel.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

Which I think everybody kind of knew.

[Fran]

Right. Like, I wasn't like, oh, my God, I can't believe it.

[Rhea]

Yeah, that was, like, a big shock moment when you saw the. It's a shock moment for them. They didn't know. So seeing that the jewels and whatnot that were. That were on the dresser, that were stolen. But, yeah, it does. It does feel like so much has to happen in the final episode. And I'm sure it will. I'm sure it will. Like, I'm sure that it will all come together. I think, like, I don't. I don't know. I have so many different thoughts, so I'm like, I don't know if just all hell breaks loose and then guy talk, like, tries to be Mr. Tough Guy and just starts shooting everyone. Like, I don't know what the hell. Because nobody wants him to, like, kill somebody more than Mook. She's like, no, you, like, toughen up. Don't you think you should be, like, fight people?

Yeah.

I don't know.

Do you think. Do you think she's, like, a bad guy?

I don't know. I don't think so.

Yeah. I don't know. I. There's so many loose ends, so I'm gonna give this episode a B. Yeah. Because while I did enjoy my time because I now feel invested in the characters, I still was left feeling, like, a little bit bored and kind of like, all right, can something crazy happen? Because I don't feel like now with all the sexual things that are happening, I'm not shocked by any of it, because we saw two brothers hook up. So now with hearing Gary's, you know, weird desire to, you know, watch Chloe have sex with somebody. Am I. Am I like, oh, my God, no. Because we. We saw something crazy already, so that I'm not left, like, wow. Do I think that maybe Gary has, like, blackmail on Saxon? He was filming the boat or something? Like, I don't know. Maybe there's something there Yeah, I don't know. I think the fruit is obviously gonna have something to play, but I also think it's too obvious. You know, I think if anything, it'll be an accident with the fruit. I don't think Jason Isaacs is gonna actually, like, eat the fruit and die. And.

Yeah, I feel like maybe they put it in. In a. In a. In a shake or something. A lot of focus on that blender.

Like, maybe Saxon accidentally close up shots of that blender.

7. Daisy Jones and the Six Love. Took me quite some time. I don't even know why it popped up on my prime. I thought, you know what? I never watched this, but it's a show I would love.

Was watching, because I remember I started the first episode and got, like, distracted or something and did. And I did like it, but I never went back to it. I did see the first episode. I don't know why I never went back. And I love it. I'm on episode seven now, so, gosh, I fell asleep, and obviously I wasn't gonna stay up all night, but now I want to know what happens. Obviously, I love it. I love it. I'll give it an A. I love it. Love the music.

Oh, my God. And also, Camila Marone. I thought she had, like, a small part in this.

No, it's not. No, it is. But this is just my opinion on it. It. I'm gonna give it a B minus, but my opinion on it is yes. I think it's interesting to watch and I'm whatever. But my opinion on Jesse and Sierra and then pushing this is like Sierra has made it very clear that she is just not somebody who just likes to hook up with somebody. Them kind of being like Jesse and Sierra, flirtation. Da da, da. You know, when you're in a friend group, like that happens, whatever. But like on the outside looking in, you're like, Jesse's a fuck boy. Like, yeah. Is that someone you would set up with Sierra? No. Like realistically, like you want someone who's going to treat. Treat Sierra like a queen. And I don't think Jesse's that person. Is it fun, flirtation, friend, whatever? Yeah, but I don't think they should hook up or date or anything of the sort. You know, I think Ciara deserves better than Jesse. I just see, I mean, look at how he's acting when he's supposed to be exclusive with Lexi.

Like, is that someone you want to push with Ciara? No, no. Because look at how he's acting.

When they're all sitting out there, I imagine something of the sort happened when they were in that bedroom where someone said like, oh, suck his toe or suck my toe, like as a joke. And the girl sucked his toe. Like, I could see that happening. Why not?

Whatever. But why did he go in there? Like he knew.

I was fine with how it ended. I didn't love how it ended. Like, some storylines, I was like, oh, that was, like, cute. I'm glad that happened for certain characters. And then some were a little more open ended. Like, of course, you know me. I found myself, like, more invested in the younger kids stories, like the ones that are, like, in high school instead of the adults. But certain characters I, like, wanted to. There's certain people I was really rooting for. And it was satisfying in that way. It's. It was a C plus. Like, you know, it was. There's some terrible acting. There's some d, you know, decent acting, but it was. It's cute. It's really. It's just a heartwarming show about a little town called Serenity, you know, so it's cute. And then I watched, like, the last four episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I'll give that a C. It's like, you know, it's. I'm still watching.

And what will they have to do for you to not watch? Like, how bad.

I'm loving, like, the side characters, too. Like, I love Caitlin Olsen. I think it's so funny. I don't think I even realized that she was played her daughter.

Yeah, I certainly don't hate it because I. Because I am interested in the characters. It's just. Yeah, give me more.

Yeah. Yeah. I do feel like there's just so much that we don't know and there's only one episode left because I feel like a lot of the White Lotus is like, stuff is happening but nothing's happening. You're at a resort. But here I'm like, yeah, I don't. I don't know where it's going.

And I think we kind of forget that previous seasons have been kind of like this.

That's what I'm saying.

You know, it is. It is. And there are ones where it's just like. Like you kind of look back and you think about the character and you're like, what happened to that character? You know, you don't really get answers about everybody.

Yeah. I do think the second season moved a bit quicker than this one.

This. This one reminds me a little bit more of the first season.

[Fran]

The first one was slower like this. The second one we had a little bit more. I did see something funny where somebody wrote Chelsea is everything Portia thought she was.

That's fair. Which is. That is so accurate.

The way she dresses, the way she talks.

Oh, I did watch the first episode of the new Ellen Pompeo show about Natalia Gray. I did watch the actual documentary. Yeah. On Hulu. It's just a strange story, you know?

It's about this couple who adopts who they think is a young girl, but she's actually old. Yeah. Like, it's. It's very confusing.

[Rhea]

Wait, I don't even think I know. Know this. Like the real life.

Oh, yeah. It's based on a real life story.

And the documentary for. Actually, it's kind of like last year.

[Rhea]

Maybe the ACT type situation that they now have made into a show.

I don't know if I'll continue watching it just because I know I already watched the documentary. I don't know. Like, I'm not so drawn to it.

There's also a new show called Mobland that just came out. It's Pierce Bros. And Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren. It looks pretty good.

She really does play, like, she always plays the same. Same role.

I saw she talked about the White Lotus and how she would, like, die to be in the White Lotus.

But I feel like it would take away. Like, she would be perfect.
