How was your weekend?

It's disgusting. Weekend was lovely. Lot of commotion happening in my family. So weekend was lovely for me. I was up at Martha's Vineyard, went to our best friend's wedding. Beautiful, gorgeous. It did rain, which, you know, been there. So was totally fine and everything turned out so stunning. Gia was supposed to watch Olive. Gia got bronchitis. Really, Like a bad case of bronchitis. She went to urgent care. They freaked her out, terrified her. Told her she could have pneumonia or like a pulmonary embolism and she thought she was gonna die from blood clot. She's like on the phone sobbing to my mom. My mom's in the video. My mom's like, all right. I'm getting like. My mom got on a plane, went to be with Gia. So she was. So my mom was in my apartment all weekend. And Sunday, I'm coming home. Gia calls me. I'm like, literally in the Uber on the way home from the airport. She's like, mom was walking Olive. She got something. I don't know, distracted. There was another dog. I don't know. I don't really know what the full story is.

I think she was on her phone. She doesn't want to say she was on her phone for sure, but she. And she's gonna listen to this and get mad at me now. But she said she was. And, like, I was fine with other dogs, but if. With other. Like, small dogs, if they start yapping at her, she's like, so another dog was walking by her. My mom said it was small dog. So, like, she said. My mom. She said she was trying to pull Olive over to the side and hit her head on something. But then I honestly walked past where she was.

No, no, it was my mom. My mom hit her head and, like, I went to where it was.

And you went to go scope out the scene?

Yes. Cause I couldn't. The way she was describing it, I was like, what are you talking about? Because she was like, well, I walked into, like, the poles that are outside a window. I was like, I just don't get that you were walking straight into the window. Like, how do you hit the bars that are over a window?

She was on her phone.

Except. Except. No, I will say in her defense, this building, the bars, like, stuck out, and they were like, gotcha. Definitely. Even still, I'm not quite sure. I took a picture that was like that.

Oh. Oh, I know. She just walked right into that, apparently.

She said she had her hat on low. She couldn't see.

Hit her head. So, no, she's like, not. She. She smacks her face. And then she said she fell.

And she rolled her ankle. Oh, my God. She can't walk.

No, it's. Yeah, she's like. She's. She's got her foot up in my apartment. It's not good. It's not good. She's gonna. Mark. She hit her face, like, right here.

I know. So I'M like, I get home, I was like, what the fuck happened? She was like, walked around the corner. Not good. And you, like. You know when you're like a parent, they're like, I don't wanna go to the emergency. Like, I don't wanna go. We're like, okay. She doesn't wanna go to the emergency room, so she's supposed to go back to the vineyard, but she can't move, so.

She's just hobbling around.

Well, that's awful.

Not good. Then I wake up this morning, I let Olive out of her crate. She jumps onto the couch, pees, oh, gosh. All over. I'm like, oh, my God.

Like, my mom's in my bed.

It's madness in your apartment right now.

[Rhea Fran]

I'm pulling apart my couch cushions.

Like, washing them, putting them, doing the whole thing.

She's looking at me like, I know I made a miss. She's like, I think she has. I think she has some sort of p trauma where maybe she was with a previous. The way that she. Like. Like an accident happens. She run. She ran under the table, and she's looking like this. Ooh, Ooh. Like, she's, like, looking at me with her sad face, her tail stuck. She's literally under the table hiding from me. And, like, I didn't even. I didn't yell at her. Like, I just. Like. I was just like, ugh. I just was like, oh, no. And she hid under the table for, like, an hour. So there's. There's. There's some deeper. Some deeper issues there I think that we have to work through. But then my mom gets up. She likes, just. What happened? She's still asleep. I was like. I'm like, oh. She's like, she was perfectly fine when I was watching her. I was like, oh, no. I don't. I don't know. I don't know. So it's madness in my apartment.

It does sound like absolutely absolute madness.

But besides, everybody else, like, you know, lovely wedding that I was at.

Absolutely. Lovely wedding, great band, great party, great music, great food. Oh, my God, The. The oyster bar. They almost had to turn me away. I kept going over there. Oh, my God, the oysters were fresh. And I was literally standing at the table just, like, eating them.

Joe was making jokes. The guy, he was like, you're to cut my wife off.

I mean, look, Gia did go to the hospital and. And she got tested for everything, and, you know, it ended up being okay. And she. I told her she had bronchitis, but. So a lot of people.

A lot of people are sick. I was really.

A lot of my friends were also sick last week, too.

I was really not well on Saturday.

Like, well, you know, security Mike did tell us that influenza B is going around.

Yeah. And something. I. I was just really not well. Like, really didn't feel well. Um, but I woke up Sunday feeling better. Matt had an all time mess up at. At brunch yesterday. All time mess up. Okay. We. Because I was really not feeling well on Saturday. So Sunday morning he's like, do you feel better? Like, let's go. Let's get out of the apartment. Like, let's go do something, like, whatever. So we go to a. So we would go to Bronx, a place we've never been to before, just me and him, and I'm feeling better. I'm like, ooh. Like, we're really excited about the food. We got French toast to share. We got a Smash burger to share, fries to share. Like, the whole thing. We got some Arnie pomies. Like, we were all very. We were very excited to eat. This man knocks both of our waters over. All over the food, all over me. None of it hit him. All over the. Our food was in a puddle of water. The whole. It was all damaged. Yeah, I was soaked. So at that point, I'm like, like, we gotta go. Like, I can't sit here now. I'm wet. The table's wet. We gotta get up.

We're gonna pay the bill and just go to a different restaurant.

[Fran Mariano]

No, we gotta flee the scene. Like, I was like, we gotta get the hell out of here. So we called the waitress over and we're like, we're gonna go. Like, obviously we cleaned up everything, got paper towels. And like, she was like, do you want me to just, like, put the order in again? And I was like, no, no.

I was like, no, we're cutting our house.

[Fran Mariano]

I was like, no, I'm wet. And like, we gotta get out of here. But it was raining. And she was like, well, at least it's raining outside, so, you know, you're already wet. And I Was like, you know what? Good point.

So funny. We're driving home. Matt's like, I ruined the weekend. I ruined the fucking weekend. I was like, I mean, I'm not gonna say that you didn't just ruin our lunch. You did. You know, it was an accident. But you definitely.

The food probably looked so good.

[Fran Mariano]

No, the. The food looked so good. Until it didn't. Because, you know, we had just squeezed soggy. We had just squeezed ketchup onto the plate of fries. Like, we were. Whatever. And it just was. I literally was like, I gotta get out of here because I'm gonna throw up looking at this food cover now. Yeah, so that was. That was a minor setback on Sunday morning that he felt so. He was just like, I can't believe I ruined the weekend. I can't believe it. I was like. But I was. I was egging it on. I was like, gosh, I just was really looking forward to that burger and fries. Like, it just was really looking forward to it. He made up for it, though. Made dinner Sunday night. So, you know, we. It came back full circle Sunday night, and everything was just fine.

I just was always going to this game. I did think, like, Rhea actually sent a video because I texted one of the groups being like, I made it on tv and then it was her and Marty just pointing at me. And I'm like, it is unfortunate that I made it on tv, but it doesn't count to the list.

Well, we were watching the game and you texted I was just on tv. And I was like, wait, I didn't see you. I'm watching. And you were like, no, you would really have to know. We were rewinding like a million times until Matt was like, that's him, that's him. And like, I don't know how he spotted you.

So where's situation?

[Fran Mariano]

No, literally, I would have never, ever, ever spotted you.

I think he knows because he knows like where I said, yeah, Pesky pole. It was. There was a play where it was.

He was able to figure out how you describe it.

Well, I just. Because so the. The ball was hit to the pole and it was like, people were like, was that a home run? Was it not? So they were replaying it. Yes, I'm right here, I must admit. So I went on my phone, scrolled back on YouTube TV and was like, oh, there I am.

There was so many replays. There were so many replays because they were trying to decide if it was foul or not.

Why is it also just cracking me up that it wasn't even like, not like his friends didn't text him. It wasn't like, hey, man, we saw you on tv.

It was him, himself searching for himself to be like, hey, guys, I was on tv. Anyone be able to rewind for me because I can't record on my YouTube?

They're obviously, you know, they're not a couple like Larson, you know, went on together, but obviously working partners. So that's. That's very interesting. I mean, I'm. I'm intrigued to see how that plays out.

I love that she, you know, she posted this on Beau Society. And she said on our wedding day, when I put on this dress, I actually lost my breath. I've never felt more like myself and more beautiful. We walked off the aisle to sign, sealed, delivered, I'm yours. And it started thundering. No rain, just thunder and lightning. Magical. The after party ended at 3am with all of our friends jumping in the pool in their dresses in tuxes. I didn't jump in parentheses. I was wearing feathers, but I took photos. The next day, Josh and I ran off into the sunset to our honeymoon. More on that later. Now we're back, and it's been a whole 13 days of being married, and we'll be staying on this high forever.

No, not at all. I think Jeremiah has the most confusing boner of all time. Because when he's talking with Huda, he's like, you're so cute. Like, when Huda was, like, yelling at. Yelling at him, he was like, you're so cute. And then it turned to like, you're crazy. And then he got all like. I think he's even confused. Like, he can't decide if he's attracted to him.

She's like, when he. She was talking to him and he was like, like, okay, Mom. Like, no, this is. You guys are Weird.

It's crazy. And the way it would be different if Huda was just emotionally attached to Jeremiah and she. And they clung on to each other fast, and that was that. The way that Huda speaks to Jeremiah is really not good.

Like, it's very toxic, and everything's handled in the. Handled in the worst way. Like, it's so different. And it comes back to, like, what, like, Ace and Nick were trying to say in the vote, which we'll get to, but it's like, they. There's a difference between having such a strong connection from the beginning and, like, not. Not really being into other people. But, like, you have to let the other person at least talk to other people. Like, Jeremiah is so afraid to even speak to any of the other girls that it's like, well, that's. No. That you're not fun to be around in any way. Like, that's why it's a useless parent then.

Right. I think. And I think that the villa feels that way because even when we had Bella on the podcast, she said people were scared to interact with Hood or Jeremiah because how they're acting, which isn't probably a fun environment for the other islanders to be a part of if they're just scared constantly. And I think Jeremiah is scared. Like, Huda is always yelling at him about something. Do I think that. I mean, like, when it comes to, you know, doing little things for Huda, Jeremiah should be doing those things, like, you know, making her breakfast or whatever. He's not. Because they're already so locked in.

Like Taylor helping with the pancakes.

Yeah. And then.

No. But then her lying and being like, taylor helped me with the pancakes. But then Taylor being like, no, she asked me to do the pancake. So it was, like, very confusing.

I understand where Jeremiah should be doing those things, but at the same time, you've given your all to Jeremiah. Like, you are full. He knows you're fully locked in, so he's probably like, well, and this doesn't make it right, but he's like, all right, well, I don't need to make a breakfast. Because she's legitimately.

And she just hated it. Right?

Yeah, well, it was, like, undercooked. I mean, it was raw pancakes, which was not good. But I mean, still, the way that she talks to him is so toxic and, like, just constantly, like, berating.

Well, then she was the one yelling at him. And then she called him toxic when he said, you're cute.

Yeah. And then all the other, which is Toxic for him to think she's cute in that second when she's, like, yelling at him. And then. And the way that she speaks to the new bombshells, like, what she did with Amaya being like, I don't like this bitch. I don't like this bitch. When Iris came in and Iris and Jeremiah are kissing and she's doing back bends, being like, you better stop, bitch. Like, it's. It's not healthy. It's. It's too much, too soon. I think that's very apparent. And the islanders very much feel that way because Ace and Nick made their case known when they were doing the vote out of who they wanted to stay and who they wanted to go, and they both got up there and voted for Huda to leave. And I was so scared for them.

Right? We need to talk about Aces reactions in this whole vote because Amaya was screaming like they were in the Hunger Games. The way that they had to pick someone to vote out was like. It was like Ariana stood up there and was like, all right, now someone's gonna die.

And Amaya was screaming Ariana saying it was just the three couples who didn't get separated. Like, those were the ones that were gonna have to vote. So Shelly and Austin, Amaya and Ace and Nick. Nick and Nick and Sierra. Yeah, duh. And my. Like, truly. No, please. She's like, we don't wanna do that. We can't. I don't wanna do that. I'm. I. Oh, my God. Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. And literally, like, Ace is like, this.

The side eye that Ace gave. I'm obsessed with how much these two hate each other. Like, for some reason, I want them to stay in a couple for as long as possible because they despise each other, and I can't get enough of it. Like, they're always throwing shade at each other. They're like two.

They're like two sitcom characters that I can't get enough of that. Can't stand each other. Ace is an evil little man, but I can't get enough of him. Like, he's perfect for this show. The way that he's calling out Hood and Jeremiah. I'm tired of him. Like, let's face it. You're either with Shell, you're not with her, you're not with her. You don't want. Like, clearly, you're exploring Other options. Let's give this Ace and Shelly thing a rest. Ace needs to find someone else other than Austin because I feel like they're not really clicking either. But Shelly and Ace is a no at this point. Like, it can't happen. It's. It's whatever. This man, though, and his reactions when they said. When Ariana said that Iris was gonna couple Jeremiah, he started cackling, laughing, like, he just exploded with laughter. Because I think him and Nick and the other islanders, like, they were cover. The other islanders were covering their mouths, like, laughing because they know. I think they know what we're seeing. And it's like, these two are not good for each other, or they at least have to explore other options to then decide if they should be together. Because they've just been locked in since day one, which, you know, what happens every season where a couple locks in day one and then they explore other options more. They fight and then they get back together. We kind of.

They'll never even explore is the problem. Jeremiah is so terrified.

But that. Yeah, that's the thing. It's. It's also just the way that sort of like Huda is speaking to Jeremiah. It's not just the fact that they've been coupled up since day one. It's. It's the scariness of it all to, like, explore other options.

[Rhea Fran]

And clearly, I think, like, Ace and Nick, I think, are having other conversations with Jeremiah. They're reading Jeremiah. They're. They're. They. I think they're just trying to be, like, getting their guy out of a situation where they don't think it's good. I mean, I don't know what. I don't know what Amaya was doing with her vote. She is all over the place. I. I mean, she's crying after Charlie's talking to her. She's getting upset. Hannah's her girl. She never do that. All these things. Then she has a conversation with Hannah and. And Hannah, like, expresses, you know, she really does like Charlie. And it's like they're having these moments that she goes up there, sends her best, alleged best friend's guy, when I just, like, I don't know if there's something missing, like, if. If. If it's like if they all just love Taylor because he is a goofy haha guy and they like having him in the villa, or if they're, like, really seeing something with him and Alandra, because I don't really think that that's there. But it was so bizarre to me that he was that, like, Taylor, it's a. It's a. It's a tough choice. My guy would have been. It been hilarious if Huddle was sent home at that point. Um, I'm sure the drama would have changed a lot and the show would have changed. The problem that I'm gonna have is, like, if it continues to be the Huda and Jeremiah show for like, another week, plus, it's gonna get annoying, and I don't think people are gonna like that. So, like, it's almost like, just get her. Just get one of them out of there and they'll. It freshens it up. Well, whatever. She stays. Really. Realistically, I think Taylor would have been the one to be voted out.

I agree. I think Taylor should have been voted out. I think that this always happens where.

Didn'T have a connection. Like, I think he likes Landria, but.

I think that the Islanders, they always stick to the OGs and, like, since Taylor is friends with everybody, they stick with Taylor because he's there from the beginning.

And whatever. But realistically, Taylor should have been the one to go home because.

I don't think his connection is as strong with Alandria that we've seen with Hannah.

I know. And you see, like, Charlie really put his case. He was like, we just had this great conversation. Like, I really like her. You didn't see Taylor being like, guys, I really like Alandria. Like, don't do that. Like, it's like, no, that's really not how they felt. It just didn't make any sense. And then I felt bad because somehow Austin keeps making these. These. These statements where I'm like, shit, I think I agree with him. And then I felt so bad because when after he voted for Taylor, he was like. He was talking to himself like, oh, like, I fucked up. I made the wrong choice. Like, I did this.

No, you're the only one that made the right choice.

Yeah, really? He was the only one. And then I feel like this sort of happened in last season two with Cassidy and Liv, where everyone went and stood behind Liv to save her because she was there from the beginning where, like, her connections weren't, you know, working. Cassidy only had, like, one day there and nobody stood behind Cassidy. It just becomes, like, about friendships at one point, where people keep the people they're closest with.

Hannah is crying her eyes out. Like we've never seen on the show before and we saw a lot of crying, I mean bawling her eyes out.

So if I'm Hannah, Amaya's dead to me.

Yeah, well, I would be like, I mean, I just told you how much I liked him and you sent him home. I feel like Amaya gets frazzled easily, clearly, and she didn't know what to do and she should have sent Taylor home because I really don't think the reaction would have been as strong. I think Alandra, like would have been a little upset, but I think she is now connecting with Jalen that I, I think it would have been fine eventually.

Right? I do think her and Jalen could have something. And like now it's like, it sucks because Alandra is paired with Jalen. So like they could build on something. And yes, Hannah is paired with Pepe. I mean, granted if next episode Hannah cries for like 20 minutes and then like is all about Pepe, you were gonna be like, okay, right?

You know she's gonna be making out Pepe by Thursday.

But like in this scenario that we're in right now, it seems like she had closed that door on Pepe and like didn't want that at all anymore when Alandria and Jalen very much still an option.

So I feel like Hannah was exploring because she felt like she had to, which is Good for Love Island. And she was like, sort of being like, okay, I'll explore this with Pepe, but I do really like Charlie, but I feel like I can't just give my all to Charlie right now. Give it. Give a little fun to Pepe. And then she was like, oh, fuck. Like, no, wait, I don't.

She probably didn't have to, like, make out with him as much as she did, in my personal opinion.

Well, that is why people voted for them to be together.

Yeah. Ye was because they saw that clearly you're attracted to each other.

Right. So, I mean, who else would they have voted for, you know? So I think that's why. But I think it was a poor voting choice by the islanders. They should have went with Taylor. And I mean, also, though, if you think about it like this, if people weren't petty, they would have voted for Ace to be with Iris and then Amaya would have went home. But I got to be honest, I don't want Amaya to go home because I think she is. Is just pure tv. Like, I think that her character and the way that. The way that they all can't stand her, but also, like, I can't get enough of it. Like, yeah, she's always calling. She's calling them out, they're calling her out. Her niece fucking despise each other and it's so fucking funny. So as of now, I can see her getting a bit annoying on the later episodes, but as of now, I'm like, we kind of need Amaya because she's an entertaining character in the villa, whereas there's, you know, to be honest, there's not that much going on besides Jeremiah and Huda. And then Amaya being all frazzled all the time and then some connections happening. Some not really.

I feel like the connections need to get tighter before Casa Amore, because then Casa More is more exciting because you get to see what happens. Whereas if they just go into Casa More, as all single people, it's like we're just getting another round of the show, right?

I'm intrigued to see what goes on, what's gonna happen with Ciara and Nick, because they both definitely seem open to talking to other people. And, you know, Nick was talking to Iris, Sierra was talking to Pepe, and Pepe was just like, that's like my least favorite thing that guys do when a girl's like, what are you looking for? And he's like, literally like, you like everything that you have. It's like, you don't. Well, you don't know me, right? We literally met four seconds ago.

So, like, then I was like, okay, Pepe, fucking smooth talker over here.

I watch Friday and Sunday's episodes with my mom, obviously, because she's stuck on my couch and she, like, she knows the premise of the show kind of, but she's never really watched. You can only imagine her commentary was so like, oh, she's like all getting into bed. She's like, they all sleep in the same room. And then, and then she's like, ugh. They're all like, did they hook up? And I'm like, We're like, yeah. She's like, oh, that's disgusting.

Yeah, I mean, Huda and Jeremiah, they did, they did the dirty.

Yeah, the system failed Charlie. And we would, I would have died if someone hit that line and the system failed Charlie.

Because at the end of the day, you think about it, right? Like, Shelly And Alandra are so close, so she's not going to vote for Taylor. And then it's just like the numbers were just not in Charlie's favor, which was so unfortunate. And then honestly, like, I wish at the beginning I really thought I'd go, oh, my God, these. All the boys are gonna vote for Huda, and then the girls are gonna pick different guys and it's gonna be split and Huda's gonna go.

And when Austin said Taylor, I was very surprised. I was very surprised.

I feel like Shelly, when she looked at Austin when he said, I fucked up. And I think Shelly looked at him like, yeah, like, being like, you should have fucking voted for Hooda. Because I feel like Shelly and Alandria are kind of on to Huda, but they're not totally. But they're not in their heads. I feel like they're like, this girl is wild. But honestly, makes for great tv. And I could see it getting annoying, though. Like, it's good TV up until a point.

So I feel the same exact way, though. I had that thought, but I'll give it a b plus. It's very good. I watched season two of tires so I didn't love season one of tires really at all, actually. I thought season two was better. Shout out to Francis and John Fuddleberg who are both in this. In this show. My dad watched and he called me and said, oh, Francis and feylberg did so good. Why aren't you on? I said, yep, that's how it works. Yeah. I could just prance onto a TV show.

Yeah. He's like, you couldn't get apart. I was like, what? What? I was literally getting mad. I literally was like, I gotta know. What do you mean? No, but I enjoyed this season more than the first. It's funny. Like, I'm not raving about it though, you know, Like, I think it's fine. So I will give it a B. You know, quick telly. And that is what I watched. I believe we watched one episode of the better sister. Like we had watched the first three. I think I talked about it two weeks ago, but we have only watched one more. I watched the hack season finale as well, actually. I'll give it a B. This wasn't my favorite season really at all, but I just love the show so much and I love the characters I get attached to Them. So I'll give the Hack season finale B. And that's it for now. I was so out of it on Saturday. So, like, sick for some reason that Matt was just watching a bunch of sports and I was like, yeah, yeah. I don't know what's going on. I was in and out of sleep all day.

Love island takes up so much time, you know, I watched the first two episodes. I'll give it a B. I was laughing, you know, same kind of vibe. But I've only watched the first two. And then Joe and I started. Your friends and Neighbors watched episodes one to three, I think. Yeah, I think one to three.

I like it so far. Somehow it hasn't really been spoiled for me in any way. He's a pretty bad thief in my, like, initial watch. That's my. That's my feedback, you know?
