It's Chicks in the Office with Brian Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. Happy Friday, everybody.
A
But first, today's episode is presented by our partners at Chase, Sapphire Preferred.
C
Fran, I feel like you are always planning your next trip. I mean, we just got back from one, but you're planning the next.
A
That is true. I may not always have my suitcase packed, but I do have a destination in mind.
C
And you're actually very, very good at making the most of your travel rewards.
A
I have gotten a lot better about it, and one card I've really enjoyed using is the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. It's nice earning rewards on travel and dining purchases that I be making anyway. Card members can earn five times the amount of points on travel through Chase Travel, plus three times the points on dining and three times the points on vacation homes with top brands like Airbnb and vrbo. So whether you're booking flights, hotels, or planning your next getaway, those rewards can add up quickly.
C
And considering all these new benefits, the annual fee is still only $95, which is very impressive. So if you're looking for a card that rewards the way you travel, dine and explore, check out the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and learn more at chase.com Sapphire Preferred that's chase.com/sapphire preferred card issued by JP Morgan, Chase bank and a member FDIC. Subject to credit approval term supply. How are we doing, everybody? What's in store for this weekend coming up?
A
What is in store for this weekend coming up?
C
What's in store for this weekend coming
A
up, guys for this weekend coming up, Chill vibes, family time. A lot of my in laws are in town, so we got hopefully beach time if the weather holds up, hoping for the best because we got a lot of, lot of kids running around and that's. That's kind of it.
C
Yeah.
A
Relaxation time. Sort of get back in the in the groove got some stuff to do at home, so.
D
Yeah.
C
Shaking hands, kissing babies.
E
That's kind of the weekend I actually am kissing babies.
C
Me too.
E
I'm meeting a baby this weekend.
C
So am I. Oh, wow.
A
That's why I said that I got. What babies?
C
One of Matt's friends.
A
Oh, amazing.
E
Jake's baby I'm finally meeting.
D
Nice.
A
Amazing. I'm not meeting any new babies as that I know of.
C
You know, maybe one will just.
A
Maybe one will just pop up this weekend that I'm not aware of.
C
I gotta shake hands and kiss a lot of babies and make sure my nephews still like me. That sort of thing. I honestly haven't seen my family in a while. Like, I'm actually thinking about it. It's been a little bit because they had this virus that lasted for too long. And then we were traveling and I haven't seen them in a. But my in laws are in town as well, so just a lot of family stuff.
A
Yeah.
C
Seeing some friends on Long island, you know, making sure I make my ways.
A
You're making your rounds.
C
You're making my rounds.
A
Making your rounds. Reminding everybody what you look like. Reminding what I look like.
C
You know, I'm really hoping, like, my nephew has this new thing apparently where he just, like, loves his other aunts and uncles,
B
actually.
A
Is this a ploy to get you to, like, come home, though?
C
No, no, I've seen it on video. And I will say, though, Matt went to my nephew Luca when we were in London, and Luca was ecstatic because he's obsessed with him. But, like, now I'm right. Now it's your second fiddle, right? So, like, when I got on FaceTime the other day.
A
Show me Matt.
C
Yes. Where's Uncle Matt?
D
Yeah.
C
Like, it was like, they were like,
A
look, it's Aunt Riri.
C
And he was like, where's Uncle Matt? And I was like, oh, shit.
A
Okay, we can't let this fly.
C
No, it's not flying. Like, we can't forget about Aunt Riri. Come on now.
F
Come on.
C
So gotta remind him that I'm here and he's, like, swimming a lot, so that'll be exciting.
A
Did I ask you how the pool at the pool side goes?
C
I don't think it's ready. I don't think the pool is ready.
A
Okay. I just know we brought it up on the podcast. No, I know. I don't know if it's eating away at our listeners. Like, it's been eating away at me.
C
I couldn't give an accurate answer to this pool until I Go home this morning.
E
Okay.
A
I'm hoping for an update on Monday then.
C
No, because it's like, it's an ongoing joke now that every time I get a FaceTime from my parents, me and Matt look at each other and go, do we think they're gonna bring up the pool? And they bring up the pool every single time. Without a doubt. We have conversations. Da da. It feels like a fake conversation. Cause they're just getting ready to gear up to talk about the damn pool.
A
Now.
C
I did ask when we last talked, I was like, when I'm home, will the pool be ready to swim in? I don't think so. I think that they, if I'm being honest, I think that they decide to do this pool thing at the wrong time. I don't think this pool is going to be like swimmable.
D
Right.
C
Right Until August.
F
Right.
A
You're like, it's middle of the summer.
C
It's the middle of summer. They don't have. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, they had an above ground pool going. They could have just kept it at that. They wanted to get fancy and do a little semi. Semi whatever it's called. And now it's been a disaster.
A
Right. I. You're right in that. You know, July is probably not the time to. Well, they should have started this in April or May. It's like they started thing or a fall.
C
Yeah. Like this is. This was a wrong time.
A
You do this, you do this in the shoulder.
C
And now all we got to do is hear about. About this damn pool. So. Yeah. And it's also like me living in Jersey and I'm sure other people can relate to this. Like if you have family like east coast, where it's like Jersey or New York and it's like it's not far. Like I don't live far in New Jersey. I live in Jersey City. I'm always just like, is anybody gonna come visit me?
F
Right.
C
You know what I mean?
D
Yeah.
C
Like I understand everyone's over there. So I always go to Long Island. But it would be nice if somebody were to visit me in Jersey at some point.
A
That is so fair. And it is a long standing for those that are have grew up in this area. You will understand especially if you were someone that is from New Jersey and married someone from New York or is from New York married someone from New Jersey. The way families act. Like if you are going to move from one to the other, they think you're moving across the country. Like it is my. I had my friends deal with it where it's like, you have to. You have to gear up to tell your family. Like, my family. It wasn't a big deal because my parents moved, whatever. But let's say they stayed in New Jersey. It would have been a big deal if I was like, hey, so I think I'm probably gonna live on Long Island. And it'd be like, right, What? So far you're gonna move to, like. And it's the same with. Some of Joe's friends have to do with too. It's like, they live on Long island, but then they marry someone from. That's from New Jersey. And they're like, I think we're gonna live in New Jersey. And the moms are like, new Jersey.
C
Well, I think it's because Matt and I are both from Long island and we decide to live in Jersey.
A
Yeah.
C
That they're like, wait, yeah, yeah. Nobody. We don't have any family that lives in New Jersey.
A
Yeah.
C
I just love New Jersey. And, you know, I don't. I don't see myself leaving. Like, I really love it. So now it's this thing where it's like, I'll go home in a pinch. If they say, tonight, we need you to come home, I'm there. Like, I'm getting in the car. I'm there. It's no big deal to me. I'll sit in the car forever long. It's nothing. Them. It's like, oh, my God, we gotta come to New Jersey. So now my birthday's in a couple weeks. Well, your parents.
A
Your dad's worried about traffic. Like, he was always worried about traffic for your wedding.
C
My dad was worried.
A
Couldn't possibly be worrying about traffic to
C
Jersey City the day after my wedding. My parents left so early in the morning, they didn't do the next day brunch because they said, we gotta beat traffic on the wedding. Like that. Like, traffic dictates their life on, like, anything.
A
Ever since we got married in Brooklyn,
C
they said, we gotta get home and beat the traffic. We can't come to the next day brunch. It dictates their life. And by the way, it's only helpful. The traffic thing is only helpful for when I go home and I, like, want to leave a family party.
A
Yeah, right, right, right. You're like, guys, I got it.
C
And my dad's like, oh, no, I get it. You gotta get home. You gotta beat the traffic. Like, I'll check the GPS and be like, it's saying this right now. Bad. It's like, get on the road. Get on the Road and beat that traffic.
A
You gotta leave five minutes to go.
C
What's going on? The only thing he thinks about, I think is, is traffic and this pool. It's like those two things. So my birthday's in a couple weeks. And honestly, I haven't been like, with my family on my birthday in years. I feel like I'm always doing something and this year I don't have any plans really, so. So my parents are like, oh, well, why don't we do a little, like, cake like we used to, you know? And I said, And I said to Matt, I said, you think you can get my family to come to. To Jersey? Like, why do I gotta go home for my cake?
A
Right, right, right, right.
C
Can they.
A
You wanna have your cake in New Jersey?
C
Yeah, can I. Can I have it at my home?
A
Yeah, yeah.
C
So that's like a new thing that we're trying to, like, get going. Like giving them enough time.
A
Same with the idea. Yeah. Couple weeks in advance, maybe this weekend
C
that maybe we can travel to New Jersey for Maria's birthday. So, yeah, I'm turning 29. The last year before 30, no big plan.
A
Which feels like a quiet well.
C
No, because it could go either way. You could either look at it like, oh, my God, it's my last one in my 20s. Or you could look at it like, oh, next year's the big shebang. You're turning 30.
A
I'm just like, yeah, I'm ready to
C
just chill and just see what happens that weekend. And, you know, that's it. Like, I'm not planning anything, anything spectacular. Uh, we're traveling to Dancing with the Stars con right after that. So we're gonna be in Palm Springs for a week. Dancing with the Stars con. That's. That's a lot of fun.
A
Yeah.
C
So I'm looking forward to that. And maybe my family will venture to New Jersey.
A
I hope so.
C
Have a nice little cake. That would be.
A
That would be nice.
C
That would be nice.
A
We can do it.
C
I have faith in them that they can. They can do it. But God damn that traffic. Because then you gotta hit them with the right time. Well, what time do we leave then?
E
Yeah.
C
And what time do we do?
A
It's just all about fucking cake might have to be really early or really late.
C
Like, it just depends on God damn travel.
A
Or really late. Can I just say that I know we've been talking about it a lot and I just want to reiterate because I have caught up and Love Island UK is so fucking good that it's not Even like, us is an afterthought. I don't even care about us. I don't care about the finale. I don't care who wins voting. And I voted, which sounds bad because I just said I don't care.
C
And I voted.
A
But I voted. And they changed it this year of, like, you had to vote for four. They made it tricky. You had to vote for four couples. But then there was, like, a lot in the fine print.
E
The fine print. I didn't know when I voted.
A
Well, they told everyone.
E
Is that the order that you hit it in is the order of likeing it. But no, but it doesn't say that unless you read the fine print.
A
Well, they did warn everyone multiple times, like, to read the fine print. So that's on us.
E
But why not just, like, write. Write that out?
A
I don't know. I don't know why they didn't do it. The. The whole vote's gonna be a mess. I will say I. There were two couples that I. And here's where they're. Here's where they got you. You had to vote for four. It wasn't like you could vote for two and then just submit and be like, I want these two couples in the finale. I don't care about the other ones. Or else your vote didn't count. You had to vote for four. So I'm at the end, I'm like, you're. You gotta make me pick one of these couples to send in the finale. Like, I don't want any of them in the finale.
C
I need to confess that, like, I've been so out of this season.
A
Yeah.
C
And I have watched, like last during movie night and everything I watched. And now I've fallen.
A
Picked up the key episodes. Well, this is also where we get to the end where they. It's just, you know, they act like they're all in love.
D
Yeah.
C
I plan on Sunday to spend majority of my day watching Love island uk. You got.
A
You have to get back because Sunday
C
I have a free, free day.
A
Yeah.
C
No babies.
A
Yeah.
C
No shaking hands. No traffic. And I'm planning to just sit my ass down even if it's 85 and sunny. Cause I believe it will be.
A
Yeah.
C
And just watch Love Island UK all damn day. I want to come in on Monday talking with a British accent.
A
Yeah. I. And I hope so because I really rushed through this all. I watched a bunch on the plane home. And then I've been locked in through casa. The. I believe the movie night episode is now on Hulu, but it wasn't when I had finished, so I went back to my. My vpn. So I get movie nights always. You know, you got to lock into movie night. And just a very interesting casa, the way some of these, both US and uk, had some boys that were moving mad, Moving real mad. But it's just so much better. And this season is so good. And I'm so curious.
C
Like, I'm gonna do my finest duty.
A
Yep.
C
To be.
A
Oh, what?
C
Because I said finest duty? Is that making you laugh?
A
He did giggle at that.
E
It did.
C
All my duties are finest, let me tell you. Okay. What, you don't like that?
A
Not as much. I can take it. I can take it. I can take one. Like when you. The first joke.
E
Yeah, but you didn't even do that on purpose.
C
No, I didn't do it on purpose.
D
I was just.
A
That's why it was funny.
C
But all my poops are cute.
A
Impossible.
C
They are impossible. I promise.
A
Quite literally impossible.
C
I promise you.
A
No, I don't believe it.
C
Even the big ones.
A
Promise me as much as you want.
C
Even the big ones.
A
Promise me as much.
C
They're just, like, really? Okay. Contrast.
E
Disgusting.
C
I'll just say I have a great digestive system going and I'm happy for you. Even at its. Even at its. I'm trying to look at an appropriate word. They're still cute, you know?
A
Sure, sure.
C
Listen, let me have that.
A
I'll let you have it.
C
Let me have that.
A
I'll let you have it. I'll let you have it.
F
What?
E
Bro, it's making me nauseous. I'm not even kidding.
C
Have you ever farted in front of a girl?
E
No. I mean, like, loud. Like, no. Not to the point where they would know.
C
Like, it's acknowledged. I would have went my entire life. But then the first time it happened, it was so freeing that I was like, oh, my God. Wow. Like, this is really amazing.
E
Like, but you guys are married.
C
Well, no, but it was before we were married. Honestly, we just started dating. I've told this story before. I was gambling on my phone. I hit blackjack. I threw my legs up in the air. A fart came out. I was so embarrassed, I almost jumped off the balcony. And then after that, that was, like, the very beginning of us dating. And then after that, I was like,
E
okay, you knew he was someone.
C
Like, I was, like, testing the. Yeah, I was, like, testing the water. It's kind of like, all right, I'll let one out here. Let one out there. And no pun intended.
A
And there's.
C
There's actually no, better feeling, like that's how you know you're so comfortable with somebody. Now, here's the thing.
A
I try not to, but, like, it happens.
C
I've never farted in front of you guys, which is odd, I find to be.
A
Cause I don't think that's true.
C
Maybe in front of you.
A
Me, for sure.
C
Well, actually, definitely last week in London.
A
Yeah. And also, like, before, we've gone on stage multiple times. You whispered in my ear, like, I can't stop farting. Like, multiple times, multiple.
C
That actually happens before every show. You're so right.
D
You're so right.
A
We'll be like.
E
But this is not her humor.
A
We'll be walking. It's not my humor. We'll be walking up the stairs, though, like, getting ready for the show. As she's being honest, she's just like. Like, she's like, oh, my God, I can't stop farting.
C
I get like the nervous farts. Yeah, yeah.
A
Just excitement.
C
It's not my humor at all. This is just.
A
I do wonder. Not to tie it all back to Love island, but I actually do wonder how they all have to share bathrooms.
C
Taylor talked about it, you know, about how to hold him. Farts.
E
Yeah.
A
Like, I just. That is terrible.
C
I just find it shocking that I've never accidentally farted in front of Noah. Just like the.
E
Are you sure? I mean, like, it's been so long.
C
I know, but just like, the amount. It's been literally almost 10 years now. Were together all the time. Like, I've never farted in front of
E
you, but are you sure about that?
C
Yeah, I'm sure about it.
A
Yeah.
E
I guess I would remember.
A
It would have been discussed.
C
It would have been discussed silent.
A
It probably would have been discussed often
C
if it did happen. Listen, and it hasn't.
E
It hasn't almost at the Jersey Shore that a couple weeks ago, remember?
C
Oh, my God.
A
You know what? We're all going away next weekend. Maybe next weekend will be the lucky weekend.
C
Here's the thing, actually. We're all going away together next weekend. And then shortly after that, we're away together.
A
Yeah.
G
Yeah.
C
Again.
D
Yeah.
E
Yeah.
A
And true.
E
I said, yeah.
A
A lot of opportunity.
E
We're living in a house. We're going to be under the same roof for like, eight days this month.
C
Yeah.
E
Between next weekend and Palm Springs.
D
Shit.
A
When you put it that way.
C
Yeah.
A
That's a lot of time.
C
Far and all over the place. Sorry, I apologize. It's Friday. We're feeling goofy and funny and free and just.
E
Isn't that the Wiz Khalifa song.
C
Feeling goofy and funny and free. Oh, sorry.
A
Young, funny, and free.
C
That's what I like.
A
Funny, young, and free at 29.
C
Young, funny, and free. That's me.
A
All right, well, anyway, watch the Violet UK this weekend.
C
I feel so sorry for that whole 10 minutes.
A
It's okay.
C
All right.
A
We can move on.
C
We can, can we?
A
We can.
C
All right.
A
We'll put it behind us.
C
I just.
E
See, this is why in the description, a lot of the time I just write intro for the first part because what would I write?
C
You're right.
E
Like poop discussion.
A
No, you farting in front of others.
E
Yeah.
A
Farting in front of friends. That fart protocol.
C
It's a relatable discussion.
A
People do. And you know what? People always wonder. I remember they do always wonder.
C
Let me. Let me just say.
A
Are we gonna. Are we gonna bring it back to farting now?
C
Well, I have two stories that I'm ready to come clean about.
D
Okay.
A
We were so close to moving.
C
We were very close.
A
From colorful tees to cozy sweats and trusted underwear, Fruit of the Loom has earned its reputation through consistency, com and everyday ease. Simple decisions just hit different. And this one's easy. Food of the Loom has you covered with a variety of comfortable styles, from underwear to sweatshirts to sleepwear and more. So go ahead, shop now, and enjoy. One less thing to think about.
C
I'm gonna bring up something okay. From this past week because we're just feeling goofy right now and funny and it's a Friday episode and whatnot.
F
Okay?
C
And this is not about effing.
A
Farting.
C
Farting.
A
I prefer you say farting than effing.
D
Okay?
C
This is not about that, so. But it is sort of about that.
D
Okay.
C
Because it brings up the chain restaurant that I'm gonna bring up.
A
Oh, shit.
D
You're telling the story.
C
I'm telling the story because it leads back to a farting story. So I've had a tough beginning of the week, and I've kept it from the listeners, and it's actually taking a lot out of me to, like, tell the story right now.
A
I'm also laughing because they're gonna hear this story and be like, that's what you were keeping from us.
E
Yeah.
C
Well, I'll explain why I've kept it.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
So Sunday night, we land home late, probably around 11pm and after every time I come home off a plane go trip, the go to is Taco Bell. It's like, we're getting Taco Bell. And by the way, this is not a poop story, because I know people hear Taco Bell and think it's going on.
D
Right, right, right.
A
And it would be the segue we would make here.
F
Right.
A
That's what we were just talking.
C
Yeah. So am I gonna regret telling this? Natal?
D
No.
A
I really don't think it's that bad. Like, I know.
C
Oh, it scarred me.
A
It scarred you. But I'm saying, in the grand scheme of things, like, I don't think, like, it's a. It's a story that has nothing right to. It says. It says nothing about you.
C
Yes, I know. It's. That's my fear, though. So we get Taco Bell, and we open it up. We put on the dining room table. We're eating the Taco Bell. It is magnificent. It's. It's hitting the spot. Matt looks at me at one point. He's like, is it me, or is this Taco Bell tasting extra good? Better than ever. And I'm like, oh, my God. It's tasting fantastic. I look at the dining room table, and I see an ant. Now, if you know me, you would know that I keep my apartment pretty pristine.
A
Mm.
C
Especially before leaving, traveling, I make sure that shit is pristine. Cause I don't like coming home to a messy place. I like coming home to a fresh, clean place. And something I really don't fuck with is bugs in the home. And that just comes from a mom who was very, very, very. Like, every time we came home from somewhere when we were a kid, we had to leave our bags in the garage. My mom had to inspect them and spray them down. It was. This was a serious thing. So no bugs?
A
Yep.
C
I'm not afraid of bugs. It just grosses me out if they're in a home. So I see an ant on the table, and in my head, there's never just one ant.
A
No, no, no.
C
So I kill the ant.
A
Never just one ant.
C
And I feel the panic start to set it. I go, matt, why is there an ant on the dining room table? 4. I can get behind, maybe. You know, it's been muggy, it's been rainy. We're surrounded by windows.
A
You haven't been home.
C
Why is there an ant on the dining room table and it wasn't on the table when we first sat down? I didn't see any ants. There's nothing on the table to have ants. But, you know, he's like, don't. Don't worry. It's just. It's been buggy and muggy. Pick up the Taco Bell napkins. Five ants come crawling out of the Taco Bell napkins. Immediate stand up. Squash everything. Throw everything away. Freaking out. Matt's sitting there like he's still thinking about eating the food. And I'm like, you're insane. You're gonna. You're thinking about eating the food still? We're eating ants. The reason the Taco Bell.
E
I don't think I realized you had already been eating.
A
Yeah, we've already been eating.
C
The reason the Taco Bell tastes so good right now is because we got extra protein because we're eating ants, honey. That's what's happening. We probably got five ants each in our mouth right now.
A
We're the.
C
So they all came out of the
A
napkin, but the napkins were in the bag.
C
The napkins were in the bag, in the food, and the food. The little sticker on it taped shut, Right? And this just sent me into an absolute.
A
All the food was wrapped.
C
All the food was wrapped, but the ants are. They got into the little cracker grubbins of the napkins.
A
No, no, I know, I know.
C
I'm pretty sure I probably ate a couple ants. Yeah, they were all in the napkins. I freaked the fuck out, obviously. Was spiraling all night long about us eating ants and then bringing ants into our home. I'm like, oh, well, now we just live amongst the bugs and that's that. So that was really detrimental to me as somebody who loves Taco Bell. Yeah, I'm. I'm now having this war in my brain of does my Taco. Does my local Taco Bell advance? You know?
D
Well,
A
I don't want to be the bearer bad news, but I'd Assume almost every fast food place has aunt has ants somewhere.
C
You know, I just always live my life like, like not thinking about that.
A
You've walked. Like, I know we normally get our stuff delivered, but like, you walk into a place, you look around, you think, there's probably ants here.
F
Yeah, yeah.
A
It's just never throwing ants in the back room.
C
Right.
A
It's never like walk into a bathroom there. Those aren't clean.
C
Right. But it's just never in your.
A
No, no. In the bag of food is not ideal. Food is never really ants.
C
No, I didn't click. I want an extra side of ants.
A
No, no, no, no. So no.
C
Yeah. That. None of it sat right with me and none of it. The way Matt acted about it with like, too nonchalant. I was like, why are you acting so nonchalant about the ants? He was like, well, because it's. It's very, like rainy and hot and it's ants, like, they're.
A
They're by far the least, like, disturbing.
C
Yeah. I just. The way that you're acting so nonchalant about the ants and all this, like, I got to go to bed. I gotta go to bed now. Because then he was like, should we order more food? I said, absolutely not. Absolutely not. We're not ordering more food. I'm not eating for the rest of the week. Probably.
A
I'm never going to let anything come into this apartment. Yeah, well, guess what?
C
We're starving the rest of the week, honey. After these ants, we're going to be filled up. So that's how my week started. And it really. I didn't even tell you guys for a couple of days. Like, that's how bad it sat with me. Because I'm an open book. I tell everybody everything at every single point of my life, which is like, honestly, have you ever had to deal with a cockroach in my apartment in New York City years ago. Yeah.
E
West Village one.
C
No. When I lived in Battery Park City. Yeah.
A
I had one this morning.
F
What?
D
Yeah.
C
In your home. Oh, my God.
E
That's so much worse than her story.
A
Yeah, right.
C
I just. I just told this 20 minutes story
E
about having a couple.
C
You have a cockroach cockroach?
A
Well, my problem is, is that I have. This is maybe the second time.
C
This feels like a safe space now. It's like, everyone come forward with your bug stories.
A
Well, also, like New York City apartments. And we were. We've been in a. We've been away. We haven't been in our apartment for. For weeks. And that's always when something happens, because I feel like, yeah, it's like, oh, we haven't. We haven't flushed our toilet in a while. All these things, they come out of everywhere. So I think they come out of the toilet.
E
They come out of the sink. That's how mine happen.
A
Come on. It's like, you know, I'm getting the shivers.
E
I went home when I saw it.
A
No, when those things. You're gonna die when you hear what happened with my. With mine.
G
No.
A
So I go into. I go to take my laundry out of my. Out of the dryer. And that's sometimes where they. They come out of because I think the hole under the washing machine. Yeah, I think they come up that pipe, the washing machine pipe, and I'm like, ah. You know, I freak out. I run out of the room. I. By myself, close the door. I'm like, ah, shit. I build up the courage. I'm like, I'm strong. I'm beautiful. I'm a woman. I'm independent. I can get this cockroach. You gotta, like, look myself in the mirror, grab one of Joe's shoes, go back in the bathroom. I see it, try and smack it. That fucking thing is fast. Runs past me.
E
And also when you're like. Aren't you afraid that it's gonna be, like, juicy when you like.
A
No, that's. No, I'm not.
E
That's my biggest fear. I don't want to get splashed by it.
A
I'm not. Because I just want to kill. I just want to kill the thing. I just want, like, any, by any means necessary. I had kept the bathroom door closed as I was like, I'm keeping this. I'm keeping it locked in here. Runs right under the bathroom door. I. It went under.
C
Is it just in there? Now? The way you're describing the story means that you didn't get it.
A
It went under the fridge, under like a, you know, a little open crack. Something under the fridge.
C
It's.
A
It's gone. I don't.
C
It's not gone or it's.
A
It's making its residents in my home.
C
Let me tell you something. I commend you because I'm removing my fridge and I am having every person come in and check my apartment top to bottom to get the cockroach out. So I commend you for being able to just be like, c' est la vie.
A
It's the only way that I can act.
C
Or else I would be in bed
E
tonight being like, no, no, no.
A
It's the only way. It's actually the only way I can think about it. Or else I would lose my mind.
C
Right? No, that's fair.
A
Because I can't think about the alternative or else I will think that like it's, I'm going to like be sleeping with my mouth open and it's going to like come crawling.
C
Right? And that's how I felt about the ants and which is why I've been saying like I'm, I'm one amongst you. I haven't seen any. But I've just been saying in my
A
mind I'm trying to tell myself I
C
know compared to this. I can't even believe it.
E
Compared to any bug I know compare.
A
So like I don't know why. That's, that's why I said when she had ants I was like answer the least least thing I'd have mice.
C
You know I got, I'm like ants. I'm, I'm a loser for that story. You got a big cop.
A
I think if you lived in New York City.
E
Bugs, you know, stink bugs.
A
Oh my God. You know what we used to have in my house growing up were those cave crickets. Do you guys have those? That was a problem.
C
That started becoming a thing. The cave crickets started becoming a.
A
Those things jumped.
C
Oh my God. I remember that.
A
Crazy in my basement.
C
Oh yeah.
A
It would jump. We all scream.
C
I remember that.
A
Oh my God. I actually think I'm more afraid of those. In a cockroach.
C
Yes.
A
But I'm living in New York for as long as I have. You deal with cockroaches like it's just a way of life. Those bad boys.
E
Are you like trying to know what.
A
There's nothing for me to do. Like I, I, I let me. I like I pull. I went under. I'm no joke. I looked under the.
C
I have a hit your home than my home.
A
I've got a fridge.
E
Eggs everywhere.
A
I got a fridge and I got a. The freezer is like a pull out freezer underneath. It went under there. I mean there's like. There's just no. Like I was slapping the shoe all over the place. I can't think to see if it'll come back out. It's, it's.
C
Listen, I would. It's.
A
You are brave and in my mind I'm just gonna tell myself that it's moved on to the next apartment. Like it's crawled back into the wall
C
and it's starting a family.
E
Prefer to have a mice infestation. Oh, times out of 100 over cockroaches.
C
Are you nuts?
A
Are you mice are like, you can't take a shoe and kill them.
C
Humans.
E
Maybe that's why I'm more comfortable.
D
You know what?
A
I stand by that.
C
They're not as st. Little compared to a. Mice aren't as hideous as cockroaches.
E
Cockroaches literally used to be, like. To equate like.
D
No, no, no.
C
Mice are.
E
You know what I'm saying? Like.
A
Yeah, but this is cool. This is shocking. You can. You can. You could kill a cockroach. You can kill a cockroach.
C
You could kill a mice.
E
I killed mice with my bear, dude.
C
What?
E
I mean, no, not with my.
C
Are you putting the mice in the microwave?
D
I.
A
No. Let me tell you something.
E
Killed one with a hockey stick.
C
You mean you killed a mouse with a hockey stick?
E
Yes.
A
We might have to cut this out. You're like, this is.
E
I had to fucking 10 running around in my bedroom at night.
C
I actually won't like.
A
Okay, you know what?
C
This got this. I feel better now.
A
I actually feel better. Wait, that one on one got worse. You felt open to share about the ads. I said I had a cockroach. Noah says he's killing mice with his bare hands. So really, he wins. Okay, you won.
E
You win. No, but you know what the worst.
A
Okay, enough.
D
You won.
E
You know what the worst. You win, bro. You have this. I had to put the sticky traps all over. And then what happens is you wake up and you hear squealing.
A
Oh, stop it.
C
I hate when I get this stuff.
F
Suck.
E
I hate this.
A
And you're gonna piss people off by saying this. So I don't like, like, just. Just wrap.
E
What do you want me to do?
A
No, there. Because there's like.
E
That's the only way.
A
There's like, more humane ways to get rid of mice.
E
How?
A
There are.
D
And we.
C
Let's move along. Yeah, and by the way, you're not cutting this because I have no.
E
You come into my room. It's gonna happen. You know what happened one time in the nobody step.
C
Where are you going with this?
E
No, no, please.
F
I have shivers.
D
Wait, wait.
C
Can we just all take a deep breath?
A
I thought my cockroach was bad.
C
Listen, I.
E
But you'll say this. My roommates would see me or hear me in the middle of night, like hitting, like. Like running around the apartment.
D
Stop.
E
No, no.
A
I'm actually. I'm actually telling you to shut the fuck up.
E
No, no. There's one other thing. It's not. It's not gross.
C
Shut your dirty mouth.
E
In the West Village apartment that Rhea also Lives in that building. One time I woke up, and I had a window AC unit, and I literally was like, this. Like, this close to this wall. Like, just open my eyes, and a mouse had crawled up the cord from the outlet and was just staring at me, like, eye level.
C
And what'd you do, smack it in the face?
E
I.
A
What'd you bite its head off?
E
No, no, I just went, like. And then it ran away or whatever.
C
Put a mob.
E
But with all that said, I would still prefer to have a mouse than a cockroach.
C
Well, because you know how to fight him. Well, you haven't been able to cock. Cockroach.
A
He's one with the mice. He lives amongst mice.
E
I saw one cockroach.
C
I shut the door.
A
He doesn't mind mice.
D
He's one of them.
E
I shut my bathroom door, went to Grand Central, went to Westchester, and, let
C
me just say, fled. By the way, I was afraid to tell my aunt's story, because when I
A
brought this up to Matt, I was
C
like, should I tell the ant story in the podcast? He was like, I think it's a funny story, but knowing you, you're gonna, like, tell this story, and then you're gonna think that people think you're dirty because of the ants. And then I was like, well, no, the ants came in the fast food. Like, I was able to justify. We went from ants to cockroaches to. You just live amongst mice.
E
No, no, not. I. Knock on wood. I have never seen a mouse in my current apartment.
C
Well, they know not to mess with you.
E
Or, like, now I feel like I'm jinxing you.
A
You hit them with. Tell your friends.
C
Yeah, yeah. Also, don't come knocking.
A
No eyes out of your friends. He'll kill you with a hockey stick. I have no shame, because I know that for those of us who live in New York City and who have lived in New York City before, people deal with cockroaches.
C
They do. That is. That is a thing.
A
You know?
E
You know what we did one time? We were so desperate that we were in a living room, me and my roommate, and the couch was our other roommates, but he was gone for the weekend, and we saw a mouse run under that. We moved the couch, and we couldn't see it, so we thought maybe it went in. We cut a hole into the back of the couch.
D
Oh, my God.
E
And we never. It was. I don't know.
A
My friends in their first New York City apartment was so funny, because one of the. One of them was like, it would not have flown that There was a mouse. But two of the other girls. There's three girls. Two girls saw a mouse in the apartment, and it just, like, scarted across their living room floor one night, and they were like, is that what I think it is? And it went under the oven, never to be seen again. And it was like, the funniest thing ever. When the third roommate finally found out, like, they didn't tell her. And then it came out that there was a mouse at some point, and she was like, there was a fucking mouse. And my two other friends were like, he was just passing through.
C
That would be me.
A
Because we never saw him again. That was it. He was just passing through and then he was gone.
C
That would be my reaction. You guys didn't fucking talk. A mouse in here.
E
I think if I ever saw a rat, I think I'd actually never move back to the city. That's, that's.
A
No. A rat in your apartment?
E
In your apartment?
A
That's. Is that a thing? People have to deal with rats in their apartment?
E
Like, my brother lives on the first floor of his, and he has, like, an outdoor area, so if he left his door open, I think that a route.
A
Yeah, no, that's fair.
E
I mean, people have definitely had rats.
A
No, that's fair.
E
I, I, I, yeah, but rats are like. You think a mouse is cute compared to a rat? It is.
C
I feel like we have to take a deep breath.
A
No, we do take a deep breath. After all this, we could just like, we went. We lost. I don't want to be there for a second.
C
I don't want to bring anything up,
D
but
C
people have mouse as pets, and rats, actually. Mice. They have mice.
A
Yeah, rats.
E
No. One of my good friends, a rat as a pet.
A
One of my good friends growing up, she had rats as pets. They were named Oreo and Pepper. They were actually pretty cute.
E
What?
A
Yeah.
E
For what reason they were pets?
D
I don't know.
A
They were pets.
E
You could come out.
A
They were, they, they. They'd sit right on her little shoulder like ratatouille. Swear to God. Oreo would sit right on her shoulder.
C
I'm with his, with her. I'm worried about the little rat killing.
A
I told him, I said, stop talking. But he says he wants to. He says he wants to leave it. So we just, you know, just let
C
him deal with that.
A
I, I disapprove of everything he said. I would just like that to be.
C
Yeah, I don't think that's how I would go.
A
So he can.
E
So you don't think it's normal to, like, if you see mice running around, try to hit them with a hockey stick.
A
That is not normal, bro.
C
That is not normal.
E
What would I do? Just watch. Hey. See it.
A
No, no.
C
You guys said traps.
E
I did, but apparently that's not humane either.
A
No, I. I'm. When I told you we should stop talking about it, I meant we gotta
C
take a deep breath. We gotta take a deep breath and recollect ourselves after this because I don't even know how we're gonna talk about Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley. I don't.
A
I don't. You know what?
C
And now my talk about farting story is useless.
A
We can't. Should I go back to that? Should I go back to the. Should I go back to the farting
C
story I'm gonna tell?
A
Cause now it feels absolutely useless. Yes, it does. One time I farted in front of
C
Matt's friends for the first time. We were all getting Taco Bell.
A
I'm gonna.
C
This is here. I'm getting you away from the mice story. We got Taco bell. It was 2 o' clock in the morning. We all went out. I farted so loud. No one said anything. I still don't know to this day if they know. I think I talked about this before.
A
Yeah, I think. I think you have.
C
And we're all best friends now. This was when we first started dating. And like, oh, my God, two in the morning. Like, oh, my God, I can't believe something like that. Slip.
A
Yeah.
C
And, yeah, you're welcome. We're distracted.
E
I just want to put on record final thought. I was not happy to kill these mice. Like, I did feel bad, but. But it's just like it had to be done.
A
Okay, that's it.
E
That's it.
A
Sure.
C
All right. Shall we move on?
A
Yep.
C
Anybody else got any rodent or pests stories they want to get off their chest today?
A
Not at the moment.
C
Maddie Sauer, you guys got any pest control stories now? You guys are good.
D
No, not.
A
Not at the moment.
D
Yeah.
C
All right, ready?
A
Maybe Margaret Quality and Jack Antonoff had cockroaches.
D
Maybe.
C
I don't know. We'll move on. Let's get into it. Let's get into the topics.
D
Everybody.
C
Everybody take a deep breath. Yeah.
A
We'll start an ad here and let's. Yeah, yeah.

A
Let's do it.
C
Let's just move right along. Topics. So there was some big news yesterday that hit social media. Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley, they announced their. They didn't announce. Let me restart. I'm. I am so.
F
We're rattled.
C
Fucking rattled.
A
We're rattled.
C
I am rattled. We're rattled.
A
I. I think we might have to end.
C
I grew up in between that podcast.
A
Podcast over.
C
Yeah, Let me, let me take it from the top. They didn't announce anything.
A
No. Speculation.
C
Speculation. And other sources were saying that Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley had split up.
A
Yes.
C
Now on Margaret's Instagram, she had archived all the pictures with Jack and she also was not at Taylor Swift's wedding. So people were like, this is very confusing. I have a question. Yes.
A
How do people know it was archived and not deleted?
C
Because she re. Put them up.
A
Oh, okay, gotcha.
C
I was gonna get there. So she archived them. And people know that because now she. After all the news outlets are reporting that they split up. She re. Put some of them up.
A
I got you.
D
Yes. Okay.
C
So she wasn't at Taylor Swift's wedding. And that started a little bit of a buzz. People had seen her out and about at dinner on Friday. They were like, this is strange. She's out to dinner. Taylor's wedding. She's married to Jack Antonoff, very close collaborator and friend of Taylor Swift. So the news outlet started reporting that they split up. Page Six reported that Jack Antonoff was overheard at Taylor's wedding telling people that him and Margaret had a. Had a tiff and they didn't want to pretend and just like show face and pretend at Taylor's wedding. So Margaret stayed back and that they have been going through some troubles, clearly. So that was overheard at the wedding.
A
Has to be a pretty big tiff now. Skip this wedding.
C
To skip a wedding, you got to get into a.
A
It's got to be a massive and a big tip.
C
Meaning you're splitting up.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
C
Like, no normal fight is making you skip someone's wedding.
F
No.
D
And.
A
And a normal fight, you're like, let's. Let's put this on pause for the night because, Taylor, we'll talk about this getting married, and we'll have fun tonight, and we'll bring you this back up tomorrow. Yeah.
C
We'll talk about this tomorrow when we get home.
F
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
A
Now,
C
Margaret and Drew Starkey are filming a movie together. Yeah. People have been seeing them out and about together, but they are filming a movie together.
A
Yeah.
C
Also online, people have been speculating that Drew and Odessa, as Ion, have quietly split up.
A
Oh, shit.
C
Now, who knows? Because they never really confirm or deny their relationship. Like, people had assumed they'd been in a relationship for years. I assume they were. They were seen at the Met gala, like, after party together, or in some other, like, Oscar, Vanity Fair parties, all that. But apparently the rumor is that they quietly split up. And now Margaret and Drew have been seen together a bunch of. While they're filming this movie. They are filming.
A
It could be part of the tiff.
C
It could be. They are filming a movie together.
A
Yeah.
C
So they're probably gonna be hanging out, but now everyone's like. They're just doing that thing, you know, where they're like, oh, is something happening?
A
Right. These two that I saw, I saw, like, pictures of them. Maybe I didn't look like perhaps a baseball game.
C
Yeah. They also were in a pool together.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. A couple events.
C
Anytime two people are spot in a pool together alone, right. People are like, oh, that's intimate. They're in a pool. It's also like, you can be swimming.
A
I think it does say something when you hang out with people outside of work in that sense. Like, yeah, they are making a movie together, but they're working. And these, these. They're hanging out on off hours.
C
Right. But it's like, if they're away filming somewhere and, you know, what are you gonna do on your off time? Probably hang out with your co stars. Right. If you're away filming.
A
Yeah. I. I was shocked when I saw that. It was like three years since they had gotten married. And I thought, wow, time really flies. It felt like last year, I could have thought that was last year when. When LBi lost their shit with cause Taylor Swift went to the wedding and I said, well, they made it three years, huh? That was it.
C
I have to be completely honest. This is one of Those relationships where I never saw going the distance. Is that fair? I don't know why I just.
A
That's fair. I get weird vibes. I've always gotten weird vibes from him in general, but that's. And. And on the heels of Lena Dunham's book coming out and, like, the stories about him in there and the. The potential, people think it was Lord. Right? Lord.
C
Yeah.
A
It's just like, you know, there's a lot.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Where he seems maybe he got too close with another pop star. They said.
A
Yeah. You know, I don't know. And I was surprised that they had really gotten. I was surprised by these two from the beginning, to be honest.
C
Yeah, it was pretty surprising.
A
You know, they met in 2021, engaged in 2022, and married in 2023, which is fast.
C
She went from dating Pete Davidson.
D
Yeah.
C
To being married to Jack Antonoff.
A
He's 42, she's 31. They've separated people. Confirms with a source attorney that the pair's relationship is, quote, rocky. And then a second insider adds at the. That they are, quote, figuring things out. He's in the midst of a tour. She's in pre production for the movie, like you just said, and none of their reps have said anything. But when you don't show up for the. For the wedding, that's gonna cause speculation. So everyone was freaking out about that the last week. And then this is like, of course, this is the story that comes out next that things are. That things are pretty rocky between the two of them.
D
So.
C
Right.
F
I.
A
Unfortunate.
C
I will say, it did seem like one of those things that when she first wasn't seen at the wedding, it was like, oh, what? Come on, let's not speculate right away. And then, boom, it was like the next day it's like, oh, yeah, well, they're split up. So moving on. This was pretty big news. Justin Bieber will be performing at the World cup halftime show. Now, this begs the question, what is this performance going to be like? Because we can't do the Coachella thing, you know, like, we can't bring out a laptop.
A
No, no, no, no.
C
Start searching old songs and doing the laid back. All that.
A
This would be pretty. Pretty.
E
And he's also a co headliner, so it's like, how much time do they have?
A
How many performers are there?
E
Like three or four.
C
There's a couple, right? Because I think Shakira is doing it as well.
A
So maybe he just does like two songs or one or one song.
C
Right. Pops out, you know, Maybe Kid Laroi comes out.
A
Yeah. Like one big thing.
E
Does it say Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira and bts?
C
Yes.
A
Jesus Christ.
C
Yeah. Big names.
E
And it says. I don't know. This is saying. Special guest characters from the Muppets in Sesame street will also make an appearance to advocate for global education.
A
We're really doing it all.
E
During this halftime, additional performers Burn a Boy. And then renowned conductor gustavo. And the PS2 to chorus, accompanied by Coldplay.
A
There's a lot happening. Where is this? This is for the final.
E
The final, which is in MetLife.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. New York, New Jersey Stadium.
C
Wow.
A
There's a lot going on there. So he probably only gets a brief moment, right.
E
He'll pop out Chris Martin. The whole thing is curated by Chris Martin and Cold.
A
Okay. Okay, cool. So, yeah, like, that's maybe a song.
C
Talk about the big Coldplay, Madonna, Shakira, bts, and Justin Bieber. I mean.
A
Yeah.
G
Wow.
E
Those are, like, world renowned.
A
Yeah.
C
Oh.
A
When you're trying to appeal to the global audience. It's the World Cup. It makes a lot of sense. Wait, I have a question for you. It has to do with Justin Bieber. And I saw this on Tick Tock.
C
Hit me. Not like, I wonder if this.
A
I wonder if this lore reached you at the time or not, depending on your level of. Of Bieber fandom. Does the name Caitlyn Beatles.
C
Yeah.
A
Ring a bell to you?
C
That's his girlfriend.
A
I know. Maddie knows.
C
Ding, ding, ding. It was his first girlfriend.
A
Right now, Caitlin Beatles. Like, if you were a believer from the beginning, everyone was familiar with her. They were, you know, seemed family, friends. He moved to Atlanta. They had met first.
G
Big.
A
First girlfriend. 14, 15. Didn't. Didn't last long. But he stayed very close with the family. Her brother, she had a terrible Jet Ski. I think either Jet Ski, boating accident that happened when she was young. He gave her like a shout out maybe during like the VMAs or something like that. And that was always like a big. Like, I remember when that accident happened, everyone was like, oh, my God. Like, is she okay? We're following her journey. Is the support. All that. I haven't heard that name in. And she. And apparently she was invited to their wedding.
E
I'm looking now. Yeah, she's at the wedding. Yeah.
A
I have not heard that name in 15 years. Like, so long now. She popped up on TikTok. Actually, Claire sent me her Tick Tock because she has a new song coming out and it's called Dear Drew. And it's like no, it's like. No, really, like, alluding to, like, a messy relationship and I gotta find. I wish I could play the song. I can't because you kind of have to hear the lyrics. But it's, like, alluding to an old relationship and the promises of, like, young love and, like, all, like.
C
Like, I mean, my goodness gracious.
A
Yeah.
C
I thought I was getting married in high school. Okay. Yeah, like, that's just when you're. You're a young kid, like, you just.
A
So she wrote. This is the caption she wrote. Some stories are too heavy to keep carrying, so I turned mine into a song. My first single, Dear drew, comes out August 4th on my birthday. This isn't just the release of a song. It's the closing of a chapter. I wrote this for anyone who's ever ignored their intuition because they wanted to believe the words more than the action. For anyone who's been someone's almost someone's option, someone's maybe someday, if you've ever questioned your worth because someone couldn't choose you, I hope this song reminds you that their inability to love you well was never a reflection of your value. This is the beginning of a story I've carried for a long time, and I'm finally ready to tell it. I can't wait for you to hear it. Dear Drew, everyone's in the comments. Like, girl, I'm sorry, is there, like, Drew. Yeah, obviously Justin Drew Bieber. They're making that connection. That's his name. But then, like, other people are like, is this other? Is this other.
C
No, no, it's clearly about Justin Bieber. Dear Drew, that's his middle name. His brand is Drew. It's the whole thing. I'm sorry, like, we can't be holding. Comments are actually onto this.
A
No, no, no, you can't.
C
Things from when people.
F
What?
C
What somebody. You were in a relationship when you were 15 said to you.
A
Someone wrote. Someone commented my question. Someone commented. My question is why now? And then wrote no hate. And she replied, I took writing lessons and learned how to to lyrics. How many years of lessons did she have to take?
C
It's been over 15 years. Yeah, we gotta put this to bed.
F
I know.
A
Everyone in the comments is like, oh, my God. If you were a believer, this means everything to you right now.
C
The thing is, like,
A
would have done numbers in 2015.
C
I guess if you're thinking about your typical high school boyfriend, like, whatever. Yeah, hers was Justin Bieber. So, like, maybe you're just still holding on to, like. But he told me this. But like, only because he's Justin Bieber.
A
Yeah.
C
You know, like we.
A
And by the way, if this was, like, if she were to try and say that this was about someone else, make up a new name.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, like if this was. If this was about her college boyfriend that's named Drew, like, you know that that's going to be an issue. So change the song to like Dear Dan.
C
Yeah. Dear Dan. Dear Daniel.
A
Yeah, Danny. Dan. Just chant.
C
And Danny.
A
A little a fake name because you know, you know what you know. And it's on purpose, of course. Like she's trying. No one's brought up Caitlyn Beatle's name and she's trying to capitalize in a long ass time.
C
She's trying to capitalize. And the irony is not lost on me that her last name is Beatles and we were talking about a lot of.
E
That was the first thing.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
But no, I'm not on board with this. I'm sorry, I'm not on board with this.
A
Yeah. And then she also made a video of like what Deirdre was really about where she said a whole lot of nonsense, like she didn't actually say what it's about. She was like, if you've ever been a girl that's had these feelings, then you'll relate to this. And I hope people just resonate with the feeling and the lyrics and not like who it's about in my life. Oh, I know.
C
Caitlyn, come on, you can't do all this.
A
She captioned on that one. Said if you're ever ignored, if you've ever ignored your intuition, held on to hope a little longer than you should have or believe someone's words over their actions. This song is for you.
C
Do you think that Hailey Bieber sees this and is like, come 100. She sends it to the group chat. She's like, guys, you gotta be like, really? Right.
E
I got bigger fish to fry.
A
Yeah.
C
Selena, maybe we're still dealing with, you
A
know, this would have gone crazy on 2012, on 2010 Twitter.
C
It really would have. I mean, wow, that is really.
A
What?
C
Have something.
A
See, I know. And it's like, no offense to her, I just don't know what it sees. She, she made the COVID picture. Like the COVID art for the single is some of the worst.
C
Like, kind of like eating Caitlyn Beatles up, right?
A
Yeah. Sorry to Caitlin Beatles. I actually. But it's just like bad AI, you
C
know, I was just like, yeah, yeah, it's bad AI. Yeah, that's bad.
A
And because then you, like, see her talking and you're like, oh, it's bad.
C
Yeah.
A
I just was shocked because when. When Claire sent this to me, I went. I clutched my heart. Like, I got transported to my teenage self watching videos, YouTube videos of clips of these two together. Like you. I was at that level of Belieber where I was like, who is this chick?
G
Right?
A
And it was like, first girlfriend. It was like you would watch comp. There was literally compilation videos on YouTube of any, like, photos or videos of the two of them together. They make like. That was the OG fan edit of that.
C
I mean, she was just a normal girl.
A
Yeah, just a normal girl. Because I think that's what inspired, like, that gave us hope as a young fan. You were like, oh, my God, he moved to Atlanta and he just met this family. And he's like, quite literally, that could
C
be me with Nick Jonas. You're like, I could be his Caitlyn Beatles.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
Well, Caitlyn dear drew out August 4th. Best of luck on your new endeavor.
E
What if it's a banger?
A
I. I've heard part of it.
C
It's not. We've heard this song a Dance before. It's not like this is not original material.
A
No, no. You know, though, she puts part of the song like the songs in the tick tock pretty much.
C
Well, she'll get people listening, that's for sure.
A
It has. See, since I last. Since I last watched it. Because that original video was up six days ago. 237,000 views.
C
Oh, I was expecting more.
A
I was expecting more too. But she does.
C
They'll pump up.
A
I mean, she was getting like very minimal, minimal numbers on other. On other tiktoks. You know, this is certainly going to get the people talking.
C
It will.
A
It will.
C

And you know what's funny? John Stamos is the perfect person to go on Dancing with the Stars. So when I saw this, I thought, oh, my God, I can't believe I never thought of his name.
A
And.
G
But.
A
And I don't blame casting for going after him every year, because he is the quintessential Dancing with the Stars contestant.
G
Yeah.
A
But he said, sorry, John Stamos. I know he thinks that's an insult. It's not.
C
It's not. And by the way, you would be so lucky.
A
Yeah.
C
He said he'll never do it because it's made to make people look a fool and get injuries, like embarrassment and all that. And it's like, well, not if you're good, John.
A
And what's funny is he did this all talking. He talked about this all on Bobby Bones podcast.
C
Who did and won Dancing with the Stars.
A
Yes, exactly.
G
So.
A
So it's like. Cause he was like, man, I think you'd be really good at it. And he was like, no, never. Never want to do it. And you know what I have to say to that, John? Never say never.
C
Catch one year.
A
Who knows what could happen? And you may want to do Dancing with the Stars.
C
Totally true.
F
And
A
it's never been more popular and better. So don't knock it.
C
He's only missing out. He'll come. He'll come. Beggin.
A
Yeah. At a certain point, everyone's gonna want to be. You know, you hit that point where Dancing with the Stars. You'd be so lucky if they gave you a call.
C
Exactly. Last topic. I just want to quickly mention some Emmy nominations. We're not going to go through the entire list, but some. Some reality shows got an Emmy nomination. I want to talk about Summerhouse getting nominated.
A
Yeah.
C
This is always confusing and weird to me because same thing happened when Vanderpump rules. After the big scandal, they got nominated for an Emmy. Now Summer House has just been nominated for an Emmy, and they never have before. And obviously this has to do with how juicy and dramafied this season was.
A
Yeah.
C
But then you get the people that the drama was about not on the show anymore, and they're kicked off the show. So it. And it's.
A
So.
C
It's a very confusing thing to me. Right. Because it's like, would Summer House been nominated if it wasn't for all the drama? You know, just how Vanderpump rules. They weren't nominated until that.
A
Which is so hard because then it gives.
C
It gives, like, Amanda and West that satisfaction of being like, you guys. Got an Emmy nomination because of me. You know, like, don't you think I could see those two at home.
A
Yeah.
C
In their striped shirt like you're wearing right now, being like, oh, they got nominated for an Emmy, and it's all because of us. You know, Like, I could see that going on at home, certainly.
A
Ken, I feel like. I feel like the Emmy nomination is really to acknowledge the handling of the drama. It's like a nod to production for being able to put together a season when there is so much drama and, like. Like, tie in the goods. Does that make sense?
C
No, No. I think it's, like, it's not.
A
You're not awarding, like, the reality, so it's not like you guys did a good job. Here's an Emmy. Like, that's not what the Emmy is.
C
I think they're rewarding, like, the capitalization of the drama. Like, wow, this was a juicy ass season. They're not like, hey, good working through all that drama.
A
But that's technically what the Emmy is. No, like, Outstanding reality. What is the. What is the category?
C
I think it's ensemble. No,
A
I don't know what the whole. Outstanding Variety. Outstanding Variety Special. Outstanding. No, that's not it. None of these are it. What's the category? Outstanding unstructured Reality Program. Outstanding unstructured Reality Program.
C
So it's just like, for an unscripted reality show.
A
Yep, yep.
C
So I think it's like, who are
A
they nominated up against?
C
America's Sweethearts. Love on the spectrum.
A
RuPaul's Drag Race.
C
Welcome to Rexo. That's a. That's an all over the place there category.
A
Really? All over the place. That's why I think it's always so random with that category, but I think
C
because Summer House stuff with the numbers and everything, because of the drama, they're
A
like, yes, yes, yes, yes.
C
Where you get the nomination.
A
Yes, definitely. Well, numbers wise, you probably can't argue it's. It had. I'm sure it crushed.
D
Mm.
A
So in that sense, yes. Same with Vanderpump. It was like, just like the number of. The vast number of people watching is gonna. Is gonna put you in that category, but it's just not sustainable to, like, be rewarded for that level of drama every. You know, you can't repeat that kind of drama. No, no.
C
Because then it looks fake. Yeah. Like, this was. You know, nobody wanted this, but then it was juicy enough for everyone to tune in.
A
Yes, definitely. Widow's Bay got a ton of nominations, a lot for. For more for scripted stuff. Love Story was in the mix for limited series and Sarah Pigeon was nominated, but no Paul Anthony Kelly, which as it should be.
E
Noah said, we just love each other.
A
Noah said he immediately checked to make sure she. He wasn't.
E
No. I was shocked when I saw the show was nominated. I think she.
C
She.
E
The show. I'm kind of surprised.
C
He's cast in the Housemaid Secret, so the sequel to the Housemaid he will be in Paul Anthony Kelly.
A
Yeah. He's got. He's gotten a bunch of big roles. The Pit, obviously, a ton. That was like, really?
E
That was the most.
A
One of the most nominated, right?
E
25.
A
Yeah. I think hacks had a ton, too. Who's also another one where it's like
C
last season, final season. Yeah.
E
That was the second most.
A
Hacks was the second most.
E
24.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
E
And then Widows Bay was the third one.
A
Nothing for like, euphoria as a whole. But Zendaya and Colman Domingo were both nominated, which checks out. They were both great. Jason Bateman got nominated for Black Rabbit. He was so good in that.
C
I forgot about that show.
D
So good.
A
There's a ton that. Another big. A big year for. For Matthew Reese.
E
Yeah. Oh, yeah, obviously.
A
But then he was also the Beast in Me, so there was like a lot of.
E
I saw some headline that he was the first. First to be nominated for, like, two different roles.
A
Right. Because I think he's. He got nominated for the Beast in Me and then also for Widow's Bay. Right?
E
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Yes. That's very impressive.
E
Spider Noir got a lot of nominations and that's something that, like, I forgot came out. But that's the Nicholas Cage. Oh. Which I kind of want to watch.
A
Yes. I did not. I. I did not watch that. But yes, I remember. And you know what? You know what show? Totally. I was like. It was. It was a bizarre one, but also one where I was like, this is going to be nominated on. Was DTF St. Louis.
E
Yeah.
A
Although Jason Bateman got another nomination for that too. So that same. Same thing. Nominated for two different shows. Bad Bunny, he was lead and support.
E
I'm just looking at. In order of the most nominations, the super bowl halftime show is up there.
C
Nice. Ariana got nominated too, right? Ariana Maddox.
E
Yeah.
C
For host.
A
Yeah. Constance Zimmer got nominated for Love Story.
E
They really like Love Story, huh?
A
Which was. You know. She was good.
C
Yeah. That's a. Wasn't.
A
That was an interesting one.
E
I thought Dancing with the Stars got some.
C
Yeah, they did.
A
Dancing with Stars is back in the mix for the first time in, like, 10 years. I think they used to be nominated. That's outstanding. Reality competition series, Dance with the stars, RuPaul, Survivor, Top Chef Traders.
E
First nomination in 10 years for dancing with the Stars.
A
Yeah. Super bowl halftime show gets outstanding variety special. And it's like that, but it just goes up. Superville halftime show goes up against, like, just the award shows. Golden Globes, the Grammys, the Oscars, the Tony. Those are the other nominees.
C
Oh, wow, that's interesting. So it's like one halftime show against, like, full shows, huh?
A
Exactly. Connor Story got nominated for his appearance on snl because he did. Rivalry is made by, like, a full Canadian production team, so they are not eligible for. Yeah, people are like, on here.
E
This is interesting. What do you think the most nominations for a platform? Like, which platform had the most nominations?
C
Apple TV.
E
No, they're three.
A
No.
E
Hulu?
A
No, no, no. I would say HBO.
E
Yeah. HBO Max 122. And then Netflix and Apple TV.
A
Hacks got outstanding guest actress in a comedy series is basically all women that guest starred in hacks besides Jamie Lee Curtis and the Bear and Betty Gilpin in Widow's Bay. Leslie Bibb, Cherry Jones, Lori Metcalf, Caitlin Olsen, Lauren Weidman, all.
C
They were all fantastic. Leslie Bibb was so good in that episode. So good.
A
So, so good. Obviously, everybody in the. In the Pit was nominated. Like, that's. I think the Pit was maybe the most nominated show again.
E
It was. Yeah, it was the most nominated. Yeah.
A
Yeah, yep. So that was a. That was a big one. I saw people saying, like, Jeremy Allen White not getting for the Bear was this season, though.
E
He wasn't like the focus of the season.
A
Although.
E
Is it based on this season that just came out?
A
No, no, it couldn't. I don't think it would have made it in time.
E
Yeah.
A
So I guess would have been the last season.
E
That's crazy. At the Barrel. I'll be getting nominations a year from now.
F
And it's Right.
A
That would be my nothing for Stranger Things. I know people are talking about that.
E
That was so bad.
C
It seems like it's been forgotten about.
D
Yeah.
A
Yep. Nothing for Jon Hamm.
E
Oh, Night of the Seven Kingdoms.
C
Yep.
A
Yep. Jason Finney was nominated for Hand the. For the Testaments, which I know people really liked. And yeah, that's. I mean, that's a great one for Ariana. Like you said. That's awesome. What a cool experience. Beef got nominated a lot. Yeah, I never watched that second season.
E
You guys both didn't watch Beef.
C
I stopped and then I was supposed to finish it.
A
Yeah, I stopped watching the first season, and then I just never finished.
E
Did you guys also not watch Pluribus? I can't remember. No, that's really up there as well.
A
Yeah. Night of the Seven Kingdoms got a best show nomination, but none of the actors were nominated. Right.
E
I just has nine total. Let's see. He deserved it. Or that kid deserved it. What. What's his name in Night of the Seven Kingdoms?
A
Yeah. He was so good.
F
Ugh.
A
Love him. Oh, I would have loved it. I would have loved if he was. If he was in. If he was in there.
E
Yeah. It doesn't seem like he did.
A
Yeah. Surprise. Summer house. This. This article says variety arc says Bravo should send champagne to Amanda Batul and Wes Wilson as the scandalous hookup up surely secured voters.
C
Yeah, I mean, that's kind of West
E
Wilson gonna be pulling up to the Emmys and it tux.
A
Honestly, like, I would.
C
They probably would.
A
I. You just gotta, like, maybe be as fully obnoxious about it as possible.
C
They won't be invited. But. But we'll hear Wes talking about on his podcast that he should be invited. You know, first he'll be on his podcast being like, I mean, I'm the reason. You know, we'll see that clip this.
A
And what's annoying is like, yeah, Yeah.
C
I mean, they're not wrong, really. Like, that drama is, you know, that's what pulled. Pulled people in, unfortunately.
D
Yeah.
C
All right, that wraps up the Emmy nominations and today's topics as the number one frozen fruit bar brand in America, Alchine fruit bars and mini fruit pops are made with real fruit or juice and simple ingredients you can pronounce. This is game number 225. And we are joined by Cali and Jenna. They are college friends and they are ready to play. They live in the same state, but, you know, not in the same city. They meet up, and I want to see if that connection can still stand the test of time away from each other. Right now when we play trivia, how do you guys.
F
Do you want to see that, too?
D
There you go.
E
We'll see.
A
Hopefully a good test. It's 15 questions. If you get the question right, you get the point. If you get it wrong, the other team can steal the point. Whoever's the most points at the end wins. To determine who goes first, Noah's gonna give us a movie. We're gonna guess the rotten tomatoes critic score of that movie. Whoever is closest will go first. We each get our own individual guests, and we will alternate between teams for guesses. So what is today's movie? Noah?
E
She's the man. Classic.
D
Classic. There's.
C
Watch this on the plane.
E
Really?
F
Yeah.
C
I didn't look up the score, though. Okay, so one of you will go first.
F
I'm gonna say 71.
C
I will go 46.
D
I'll go like 82.
A
63.
E
45.
C
You know, it is my favorite movie.
E
But you knew that it wouldn't have a good.
C
Yeah, no, I don't.
A
What do you anticipate?
E
Yeah, okay.
C
But not too bad. You know, like the 40.
E
Not terrible.
C
I'll take 45.
E
Question number one. Tyrion. Fran, shout out Athena from Pasadena. That has a nice ring to it. What band released the song hey there, Delilah in 2005?
A
Plain white tease.
F
Yes.
A
Final answer correct.
E
Would you guys have gotten that?
C
I didn't know it.
D
I would have done that. Yeah.
F
Okay, good.
E
Okay. One, nothing. Ran. Fran, question number two to Callie and Jenna. Shout out Casey from Maryland in the TV show Hannah Montana. What is the full three word name of Miley's brother?
F
It's Jackson Rod Stewart, I think. Is that right?
D
I trust you on that one.
F
Okay, we'll say that final answer correct.
C
You gotta say Jackson Rod Stewart tied up at one.
E
Question number three to ran Fran name. This year, Little miss Sunshine is in theaters. Carrie Underwood's before he cheats is released and the Nintendo Wii is released.
A
What was the first one?
E
Little miss Sunshine is in theaters.
C
I want to say 2008 or 2007.
A
Yeah, I'm somewhere in that realm too.
C
We
A
seven, eight, seven, eight before he cheats.
C
Maybe seven.
A
I think I lean seven because I'm also like. Is it six? Because, like, I'm like one.
C
We six.
A
Middle. Middle school could be six. What do you think?
D
Should go seven.
C
2006.
E
Final answer correct.
A
Oh, I like that you made it to.
C
Yeah.
F
Yeah.
E
Did you guys have a Wii? Oh.
G
Oh, yeah.
C
It was, like, the best Christmas ever.
E
We should get that in here.
A
Getting the Wii, Wii Tennis, Wii bowling,
E
or just, like, finding out your age on Wii, that was always a thrill. Okay, two, one. Rhian, Fran. And this is question number four to Callie and Jenna. Shout out Jake from Baltimore in Entourage. Johnny Drama wants to get surgery to enhance. Which body part?
F
Haven't seen Entourage. Do you know Johnny?
D
No, I have not seen that either.
F
What would you want to enhance?
D
I don't know. Do you think it's like, his abs or something like that?
F
Maybe.
D
It's hard when I haven't seen it.
E
15 seconds. Seconds.
D
That feels like something you get.
F
Or maybe like his legs to make him taller or something.
D
That's also a good guess.
E
Three seconds.
D
Let's just say abs. Final answer incorrect.
C
His calves.
F
Calves.
D
Final answer correct.
E
And Jake from Baltimore actually wrote his calves, bro.
D
Yeah.
E
Okay. Three, one. Ran Fran. And this is question number five. To them, shout out Casey from Maryland. Again, in off campus, what specific dish does Hannah prepare for Garrett and his roommates using her mother's recipe lasagna?
C
Final answer correct.
A
I did not. I did not remember that at all. So I was gonna agree with whatever you said.
E
Four, one. All right, question number six. Shout out Jack from Hoboken who said he wanted to say Maggie from Mawa. Jack loves you. His girlfriend.
D
Oh.
A
Oh, that's sweet.
C
A little shout out
E
in the Sopranos. What is the first name of the gangster from Italy who joins the Sopranos crew?
F
I haven't seen the Sopranos.
D
Yeah. Okay, let's see. That's a good Italian. Like, it's funny because the only name that came to mind was Marciano, and I'm like, that's not. That's not the name for this.
E
What about, like, 10 seconds?
D
Luigi or something like that? I don't know.
F
Or go with it.
A
Sherlock.
D
Luigi. Final answer incorrect.
E

All right, guys, we gotta talk about game day vibes for a second because Truly is fully in their era right now. They're the official hard seltzer of US soccer. Just makes sense. They got these packs that are perfect for watching with friends. Our journey may have come to an end, but the games are still going and they have been so much fun. Enjoy a Truly pack. Along with you, they got the Star Squad pack, the Wild Berry. So many good flavors. It's just easy. Flavors are super refreshing, very fruity, very drinkable, and you're not getting that heavy feeling after a couple. It's only 100 calories and 1 gram of sugar, so you can actually hang, keep watching, keep chatting, and keep everything going. And it's awesome because of all the variety. So there's something for everyone. No matter what flavor you like, if you're showing up to a watch party, there is something for everyone to enjoy. So grab a Truly Star Squad pack or Wild Berry pack for your next watch party and keep the vibes going.
