The haircut, the hair color did get a little refresh.

It's working for you. A little bit more red this time. It's, you know, a lot of bit more red, actually.

It, it always looks drastically more red right after you get it done. Anybody who also dyes their hair any sort of red color, when you first get it done, it is like a jarring level of red. After a week, it's, it goes down. Red is incredibly hard to act. Like, if I wanted to keep it this red, impossible. And I don't really want to keep it this red. I like it like, I like it the week two weeks later where it kind of cools down a little, goes more like reddish brown.

[Fran]

Yeah.

But no, it's red. Like, and it's hard to tell. Red is a funky color too, because in certain light it could look totally different. Like in my apartment, I'm like, oh, it's looking pretty brown. Step outside. Natural light. I was like, whoa, baby. My doorman was like, whoa, red.

I love it though.

[Ria]

Thanks. I like it Too. It's fun. It is fun to have, like, the deep red for a little bit when it's. And when it actually stays this color. But no, I just. I need a little trim. I need a little cut.

Yeah. Thank you. I'm trying to, like. It's not helping that I keep dying my hair because I've noticed that I've just had, like, more breakage on the top of my head, so I should probably stop. But you don't like the red.

No. And I don't like. I'm not lightening it.

I don't know. I do love. I go to. I've been going to the same place. It's on the Upper east side, and it was right around the corner from my old apartment, which was lovely. Now, obviously, I don't live on the Upper east side, but when I do journey up there, I love to see them and go up there. And I've been going to the same girl, and it's nice. Cause I just sit in the chair now. And I've been doing the same thing for a while that I'm just like. Just the ush.

They know what you want.

The us. I took a. I felt crazy. I was like, what about like a little. Little shorter in the front? She's like, okay.

[Fran]

Really took a. I love a little cut like that. Some layers, some angles.

[Ria]

I haven't had long hair like this in a while. I've been going back we. You've also been sending some memories. We've been looking at some old photos.

[Fran]

Recently, and some of them are terrible.

[Ria]

And I had my hair really short for a while, and I remember when I had it that short, I was like, I love it. I'M not having long hair again. It's so much easier to maintain. Maintain. Maintained. Oh, my God, words, English, maintain. And which it is. But I was like, I look back, I'm like, ugh, don't love it as much as I did.

[Fran]

In the moment, hey, everything is in time. You know what I mean? Like, the things you wear, you love in the moment, you look back on a couple years later, like, why the fuck was I wearing that? But you love it in the moment. All things pass through time. But let me tell you, some of these photographs I was looking at us of. I had to shut my phone.

[Ria]

No. Yeah.

I was scared. Yeah, honey, I was scared. I was like, oh, my God. And it doesn't have a lot of.

[Ria]

Looks we have today.

[Fran]

I gotta be honest, I am so now confident in my looks now. Like, not in a. You know, that sounds. I don't know how that sounds, but I think I found my hair color, my hairstyle, you know, healthy, all the things looking, you know, makeup, which, by the way, today I look like a naked mole rat because I'm wearing no makeup. So I'm sorry, shield your eyes from the scene. But, you know, just the way, like, I used to do my makeup and the way I, you know, I just look back and I'm like, oh. And right now I feel like I found my place, right? Like, you know, I like to do my hair a certain way, my makeup a certain way, whatever. But in years from now, I may look back and go, huh, why did I do it like that? You know? Cause things just, you know, they go in time, so who knows?

[Ria]

No, they definitely do. You look back and I'm like, holy. Blonde my hair. I like blonde. Bad blonde highlights. And a deep side part. Like, ugh. And it was really short.

[Fran]

Deep side parts were in.

[Ria]

Yeah. Yep. They were. For a long time.

[Fran]

They were. I sometimes I still rock a side part, though. Like, I'm not gonna be.

[Ria]

I like a side part.

Like, I like a side part. You know, maybe like right over here. Right over here. Depending on what size you like, where you, you know, you do a little flip, it looks nice.

Just not pre wedding.

No, I told her this the other day. I said, I actually really love her style. I think she has an expressive style where she puts things together that she wears that I don't think anybody else normally would put together. But it's, like, so cute and fun on her, you know? So, like, if she wants to do cherry red, then she should go for it. I mean, I think she can pull off anything, but she definitely could, you know, don't do cherry red right before.

No, no, no. Not. Not right before the wedding.

No, no. But it looks fantastic.

That was like, when Gia cut bangs right before my wedding. I was like, okay, that's a choice.

I don't even know if I should be saying this because it's on her close friends, but Gia posted maybe not. Yeah, I guess not. It was about, oh, my mom. Your mom.

Your mom was like, not bangs. Right when she had told her she was going to do hair.

My mom loves sending a text where she sends her opinion whether we like it or not, and ends it with lol to really, really soften it. Soften the blow. No bangs, though, right? Lol.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. It's. It's a. It's. It's a journey. But I had to do a little refresh. Cause we have a. We got a big weekend. Is Jonas Con, baby.

Super exciting, Very excited. I will say Jonas Con is now taking over my. For you, Paige. And I'm so, like, we're gonna be the sky stage. So we are not at the waterpark portion of the show. No, we are at the sky stage, which is gonna be built over the ice rink at the mall.

But I would like it. I. I hope we have time maybe in between to, like, see what else is going on around there, because I've just been seeing people post, like, from the water park or other things, and from the water park and being like, can't wait to be treading water to get a front row spot at the state.

I see people like, what they're pool floating?

No. I'm so intrigued to see how it's set up because it's like they show the videos of how. Of the whole water park as it is normally. And on the website, it is like, if you have tickets to Jonas beach, like, wear a bathing suit.

No, no, I know.

[Ria]

I get is they. That is their recommendation. So it is actually gonna be hysterical walking around seeing, like, there's gonna be everybody in all different types of outfits because it's gonna be kind of chilly on Sunday too. So it's like if you're just go. You're going to the sky stage, you're walking around the mall, you're probably in a normal outfit. But there's also places for people to change if you want to go and change into your bathing suit for Jonas beach and then change after that. Locker room. Yeah. Yeah.

[Fran]

Did you figure out what you're wearing?

No, but I. Everybody was going merch, so I don't have. Was going merch.

I think I don't have. Maybe I'll buy merch there.

I only have my I heart Nick shirt, which I can't. I don't feel I can throw back.

Yeah, that's fair. My problem is, is I don't have my old, old stuff, which kind of sucks. Like, it's not available to me.

I was kind of thinking, like, fun business, not business casual, but, like, cute, like T shirt. But, like, dress it up a little bit.

It's one of the bomber jackets that I have with either a skirt or pants. I don't know. We'll see. I just got a new. I just got a new skort and jacket from Abercrombie that I like that. If I like the combo, I'll wear it together with some boots and maybe a T shirt underneath. That might be the way to go. Little preview everybody of our outfits.

Yes, I am. I just started. What am I saying? I actually just saw a bunch of reviews on TikTok. It just previews. Just like it just started this week. So I'm really excited to see it.

I actually saw a lot of people saying that the Broadway etiquette was maybe not respected as much as it should on the opening night first performances. Oh. Because just excited fans. Yeah, excited fans.

Etiquette's gone out the window.

I think maybe, you know, cheering when you're not supposed to. Kind of like, I saw someone say people were acting like it was a Nick Jonas concert. Like, it's not. Joe and Kevin were. I don't know why?

That really made me laugh.

[Ria]

Joe and Kevin were there, like in seats watching the show and people like, had no chill. They said people were like leaning over the balcony, like, trying to like, take pictures of them and stuff.

[Fran]

I'm sorry, but people just have no chill in general anymore. And this is just a whole other conversation that I've been meaning to bring up up on this. On the show. There's no couth, there's no chill. Yeah, there's.

People were like, man, this is Broadway. You don't act like this in the theater. And you don't, you don't, you don't. You're respectful. You stay in your seat. You clap when you're supposed to and you whoop it up. At the end of the show when they come out, they do their final bow. That's when you stand. Great job. Amazing. But maybe after a great musical number, people sand and clap. But in between.

You're not even supposed to have your phone out.

No, you sit down. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.

People are just very excited, I suppose. Right.

Here's the thing. She really does double take. Like, here's the thing. I bought tickets actually for Friday night and I deliberately picked seats that were like, not that great. You know, just. You're not supposed to know I'm there, you know, and then I was actually, we were, we were both offered tickets through a, you know, like, influencer agency to go see the show. And Thursday night was one of the dates that they had available. My six month anniversary is also Friday today. Six months.

And then this opportunity came to go Thursday. I was like, oh, let's go Thursday.

She is. She's so real. You know, she talked a lot about the. The pay gap between her and Patrick Dempsey because she mentioned how she wasn't getting paid the same as Patrick Dempsey. And she talked about, you know, no shade to Patrick Dempsey, but he had 13 failed pilots and his quote only kept going up, whereas she was the namesake of the show, and she wasn't getting his paid as much as Patrick Dempsey, which is obviously utter bullshit. Like, it's actually insane. And she talked a lot about, which I thought was really insightful and great for her to say, where she was like, if you are a woman, a woman who gets into a place where you can speak up for the other women working in your field to get paid, you know, a higher amount as much as you. As much as a man, like, you should do, so you should do that. Which I think is great for people to hear. And I loved hearing her talk about it and be so honest even to say, like, she was like, I don't think Patrick Dempsey should have been getting paid less. I just think I should be getting paid the same as him. Which is 100% true and fair.

[Ria]

Completely valid. Completely fair. She really did move that bar, too, for so many actresses, especially on tv, because when she did get that massive payday that everyone was like, oh, my God. Oh, my God. It's crazy. It's. You're. You're just setting that ceiling higher, and it just makes for more women who are coming in and the number is higher. I mean, I. It's. I laugh at the comparison I'm about to make, but it is kind of like in professional sports when a athlete in a certain position moves the market because they had an amazing season or whatever it is, and they get this insane deal that's X amount millions and millions of dollars. And then the other players that play that position are like, well, look at how much you know, it moves everything up for the position as a whole. So for Ellen Pompeo to have that lead actress role in a show that she's been on for 25 seasons, or it's like, insane that she moves that bar up even higher and that opens up so much for other people, actresses in the industry that are fighting for a bigger. For a bigger payday. And she makes, of course, some amazing points. It's like, yeah, we're. We should be getting paid the same. I should be getting paid the same amount as Patrick Dempsey. The show is called Grey's Anatomy, not McDreamy.

[Fran]

No, it's. I loved hearing her talk about this. I also loved. I was fucking dying at her being like, I'm not saying don't be with the powerful man. Get right up next to him, get on his level, and then pick his pockets and level up. I was like, that is hilarious. Like, it was so funny. She was like, being financially stable is being independent to her. That's how she described it and she was like, you know, you don't have to be out there just, like, cutting his meat and working for him. Like, work for yourself and you level up. Which I just think is great advice and super inspiring to listen to. And I just loved her being so real and honest about the whole thing because, yeah, it needs to be talked about. And she's just a gem.

And I'm just so happy that she has taken so much from online, the media, everything have, have, have come at her in every direction. And she started, you know, she was on TV when she was 10 years old. Now she's 21, and she still is herself, which is so impressive because all of that outside noise can really knock a person down and change them or want them to be different. And it really seems like she has stuck to herself and, like, stayed true to herself, which is amazing. I think. She also seems to have a great. Her family, support system, her inner circle, all really, really great. And, you know, she's a. She's a married woman. Her and Jake are so cute. And hearing, like, the stories about them are so cute, Adorable. I didn't realize she had so many animals.

I know she has, like, a whole farm.

Yeah. Yeah. She's just a gem. She's just a gem. I was laughing the whole time. It really made me want to, like, go have a, like a drink with Millie Bobby Brown.

Tina Fey went on Amy Poehler's podcast, and this clip has been going viral where Tina Fey was saying how she doesn't, like, when already very rich people say you have, like, $200 million, have a side hustle. And then Amy Poehler joked she was like, like a podcast because they were on Amy's podcast and Tina was like, no, like, you're. You're working. Like, she's talking about, like, if you were to have, like a rose.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

And, you know, you're already 100 millionaire almost, you know, billionaire, and you start making all these side hustles. And then Amy was like, no, Tina, like, I think we need to accept it. Like, Gen Z's accepted it. Like, they push for these things. I understood where Tina Fey was coming from, but also understood where Amy Poehler is coming from, because it's like, you know, work hard, get your money, do whatever you got to do. But sometimes when you see somebody pushing a product that they're not passionate about, like, there's a difference if somebody's pushing a product that they're very passionate about, you can feel it. You could see it. It's like, but for example, jlo and her alcohol brand, when jlo doesn't drink alcohol, you're like, okay, well, you don't drink alcohol, so how can you be so passionate about this? Yeah, so I feel like there's a difference.

[Ria]

Yeah, I think this caused a massive conversation and a lot of people agreed with Tina, disagreed with Tina. I think it also got interpreted in a lot of different ways. Tina already kind of prefaced it with like, you know, she has money and she's comfortable with where she's at, but like, immense amount of money kind of makes her more uncomfortable. It seemed that that's sort of where she was talking and everyone has the right to feel the way they feel about, about that. And I do think it makes a lot of sense what you're saying too. And I think that is part of what Tina was saying as well. That it's like, if you're already so rich, why just throw your name on something you don't care just to. Don't care about? Just to make more money that you don't need really is what is what I think is what she was saying. Yeah, like ultra rich. Yeah, because they were cuz, you know. Yeah, because Amy Poehler's like, well, Tina, like, you could do a glasses line. Like that would make sense for you, you know, she was like, no, I know, but it's just like, why what? You know, so it's like, that's clearly Tina's opinion and she feels that way. And it's like, if you're just this uber, uber rich person, ride off in the sunset and enjoy. But it did kind of create a conversation about that of, like, celebrities or it did kind of turn into like online, it turned into like celebrities doing it or mega, mega rich people. And I think, of course, it just falls into that celebrity category where it is people who are actors, musicians, performers as their true profession and craft, and that's what they're passionate about and amazing at. And then they're like, oh, let's just chuck your name on houseware goods that you don't really care about. But like, one time you said you like to cook, so now here's pots and pans with your name on them.

You know, they're just throwing it.

[Ria]

It's just like totally different.

[Fran]

And there's totally different tiers to it. Right. Like say, yeah, an ultra rich celebrity and you want to jump into a different Couple different businesses and do whatever then. Yeah, like make your money. Like, whatever. But it's more. I think she's talking about the people with loads and loads and loads.

It just seems like Tina is just more uncomfortable with people having just insane excess of money.

[Fran]

And alcohol is such a saturated space when it comes to especially like celebrity brands and things like that. And there are certain celebrities that 100% have just slapped their name on an alcohol and they really don't like.

There's not. No more insight on it than that. And then there are the people who really care about it and are excited and have put a lot into it and are passionate about it and actually really care about it. So there are people.

There have been celebrities who have made great alcohol by like testing it. A lot of work into it. Some of the biggest brands.

And the. Even in the beauty space right there, of course, there are slightly. There are a lot of celebrity makeup lines and skincare lines and things like that that you're like, ooh, she didn't think about this one at all. But then there are the Fentis and the Haus labs and the rare beauties that it's like, okay, you feel like they really care and are passionate and want to make sure that they are putting their best foot forward when it comes to their brand. And then there's other ones that you're like, they clearly are not that involved with this.
