It's chicks in the office with Ria and Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. Happy Monday, everybody. How are you feeling on this lovely Monday morning?

[Ria]

I actually feel great despite having a very late flight last night, getting home. But it's not. Even though I just was in Miami for the weekend. It's not super cold. Like, the sun is out. It's 40 degrees. It's not like 19. I stepped outside and was like, this is nice.

[Fran]

No, it, no, it actually, I was.

[Ria]

Like, I had a little pep in my step. Like it was spring. It's 38 degrees out.

[Fran]

I had this same thought when I stepped out today, like, oh, I can maybe go for a walk.

[Ria]

Oh, my God. I had my, like, big coat and my hat on. I was like, I could have shed a layer. Like, right.

[Fran]

That's like, you take what you can get these days.

[Ria]

Yes.

[Fran]

How cold it is.

[Ria]

I was looking at the forecast, I was like, oh my God, it'd be 50 degrees on Wednesday. It's balmy.

[Fran]

Right? How was Miami?

[Ria]

Miami was lovely. Bridget, one of my best friends, moved to Miami almost, almost a year ago.

[Fran]

Now, which is kind of crazy.

[Ria]

Yeah. And I just went down to visit her for the weekend. We had a lovely time. Little, little girls weekend. Had some lovely meals, walks, time outside, went to the beach. It was wonderful. Could have been a little warmer. For sure. Could have been a little warmer. There was a. There was a, A breeze, a cold front. There was a. There was a breeze, but it was, it was lovely. And then we had a great dinner Sunday. A Sunday. Saturday night. We went to ZZ's club and it was absolutely delicious. And then we were like multiple martinis. We were feeling ourselves. We're like, let's go out. We went out for a little bit to a party. Like fuck yeah. We had a great time.

[Fran]

It's Miami.

[Ria]

Yeah, exactly.

[Fran]

Why not?

[Ria]

And you know, you just. We ended up at this place where it was just like a mix of. You were either old or 16, you know, like it was like a. Just all ranges, which was. So Bridget and I, we found like stools in the corner of one of the rooms and just like sat and just watched the clientele. It was so much fun because there was like, it was a cool spot, but you could buy it like bottle service and whatever. But it was like antique couches and like more like cool living room vibes. The music was great music. And then this table came and sat in front of us and it was, you know, probably middle aged women and some of their guys. And then one, I don't know if it was their husband. Could have been one of their fathers.

[Fran]

Honestly, you never know.

[Ria]

You never know in Miami. But he was one of the smoothest gentleman I've ever seen. He's had to be in his 70s.

[Fran]

Just a suave cat. Oh.

[Ria]

He had his like. I think he had some like Louboutin loafers on. He had a button down, couple buttons undone and he was shimmying like he was grooving all night. He didn't. He didn't sit down one time.

[Fran]

Oh, I love it.

[Ria]

He was on his feet, moving young, wild and dancing. Yeah. I mean, I love people watching. In Miami, there's really nothing better.

[Fran]

Oh, of course.

[Ria]

It's one of the best places two people watch. So I had a lovely, lovely weekend.

[Fran]

[Ria]

How was your weekend?

[Fran]

I had a great weekend as well. Friday was Lucas first birthday.

[Ria]

Yes.

[Fran]

And big news. I witnessed him stand up for the first time on his own. Let me tell you. It was me, my sister's mother in law.

[Ria]

Okay.

[Fran]

And my Aunt Debbie. Oh, okay. And my sister and my brother in law were not in the room.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

Which you know, you never want to. I feel for my sister because you don't want to come back into the room and have me be like.

[Ria]

Yeah. Did you think about lying?

[Fran]

No, no, no.

[Ria]

We were telling them that it happened.

[Fran]

Let me tell you, my sister's mother in law and I were so fucking. And Aunt Debbie, we were so fucking pumped.

[Ria]

I mean, Aunt Debbie's not keeping that secret.

[Fran]

No, no, no. We were so excited. We were like, oh, my God. And, like, Aunt Debbie tried to get her phone out to, you know, take pictures in time, and she couldn't do it. He was sitting in his chair in his playpen, and I was sitting in front of him, and he literally got up like an old man, sides of the chair and stood up. And we were like, he's standing.

[Ria]

He's standing.

[Fran]

And then it was like a good. I want to say he stood up for a good five seconds.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

And then he clapped back down, and they started crying. But then he was clapping, because when he does something new, he claps for himself. Now because everybody claps for him. So he starts clapping for himself, which is the cutest thing in the world. But literally, I was like, oh, my God, this was such an amazing feeling. Like, I was beaming the entire night. I can't believe I witnessed him stand for the first time. He's so freaking cute. So for a little while, he had to wear a helmet because he had a flat spot on his head. So he wasn't, like, crawling for a little bit or whatever, but now he's, like, in, you know, crawling and moving. And it was his first birthday, and he stood up by himself for the first time. But then he did it again later on, and my sister and kids, they were able to see it, which was great. But I was. Oh, my God. It was.

[Ria]

Now he's just standing. Now he's ready to keep doing it.

[Fran]

It's so cute. And. And he loves, like. Because Matt's so tall, when Matt picks him up and, like, throws him in the air, the giggle that comes out of him is the cutest freaking thing I've ever heard. Like. Cause he's just, like.

[Ria]

He gets some real height.

[Fran]

No, he. He is getting real height. I have a video where he's just, like, giggling. You know, the giggle comes from the stomach. It's just, like, the cutest thing in the world. So his first birthday was so cute. And then Saturday, Matt and I went to the church that we're getting married at, and we changed from a full Mass to just a ceremony.

[Ria]

Wow.

[Fran]

Big move ceremony at the church.

[Ria]

You know, there's still a little bit of.

[Fran]

Still a little bit of Mass involved.

[Ria]

Yes, of course.

[Fran]

It's not the full Mass.

[Ria]

It's you, isn't it? It's like, whether or not you do communion.

[Fran]

Yes. And so just we're doing just the.

[Ria]

Ceremony because the wave of relief readings.

[Fran]

And then your vows and then the wave of relief that Hit my family to find out that there would not be a full Mass.

[Ria]

Isn't that one of the funniest things when there's, like, a church wedding? I've always felt this way with my parents, too. It's like, on the way to the. And like. Or even my friends. It's like, we're headed to the church, and if one person whispers, like, do we know if it's a. Do we know if it's a full Mass?

[Fran]

Right?

[Ria]

And everyone's like, oh, gosh, I don't know. It could be like, right. Because selfishness, it's, like, not that long of a difference, but it does.

[Fran]

It adds a good 20 minutes.

[Ria]

It does for sure.

[Fran]

But, you know, selfishly, we, you know, want all the time in the world up there.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

But, you know, people coming do not. They do not want the full Mass. So we are just doing the ceremony, which was really funny because the person we had met with at the church, like, he. He. He was like, yeah, I just had a couple today. They just did the ceremony. Like, they completely understand. They're not, like, trying to push you to do the full mask.

[Ria]

They're not, like, shaming you for changing it.

[Fran]

No, no, no, not at all. I did have a funny moment, though, because me and you, we always joke about our sides, right? Like, I'm always. I'm always to the left of you. You're always to the right of me. But, you know, when you get married.

[Ria]

It'S your other side.

[Fran]

It's the opposite side. So I looked at the guy and I said, I can't change what side I'm standing on, right? He started dying. He was laughing. He was like, you sound just like my daughter. Yeah.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

He was like, every girl has a side. And he was like, unfortunately, no. And I was like, I knew I couldn't. Couldn't really switch. I knew I couldn't really switch, but I figured I would just ask for the comedy of it. I figured I'd just ask which was funny. And he was laughing about it because he was like, you sound just like my daughter when she asked the same thing. Which was very funny, but super excited. Then we went to swoonies in Brooklyn. I don't know if you've ever seen it before, but I saw it on my TikTok a bunch recently.

[Ria]

And I was like, I mean, the picture you posted, the burger looked unbelievable.

[Fran]

It's one of those spots that, you know, when something starts, keep coming up on TikTok.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

Like, I gotta get to this place. But you don't know if you could ever get in because you can't get a reservation anywhere these days. You just can't. So we just showed up because it was. Right. It was close to the church that we're getting married at. So we went over there, got in, sat outside, heated terrace. Real nice.

[Ria]

Lovely.

[Fran]

We got sat next to the best table. You know when you just get set sat next to a table that you're like, this is just perfect. You know, we're having a casual dinner. We didn't really plan to go to dinner. We're having a casual dinner, a couple drinks.

[Ria]

Joe and I had that the other night, chilling.

[Fran]

And this table. Oh, my God, this girl, she was the main character. There's. It was a couple and then a girl who. Two girls that were single, because I know that because they were talking about it extensively about their single girl life. And, oh, my Lord, this story she was telling, it took up the entirety of the dinner. And honestly, the punchline really not that crazy. But she ended up in bed with this guy, and they started talking about another guy the whole time. Another guy. She's interested. She thought his apartment was a mess. She still got in bed with him. It's a whole. I. I know too much about this girl's life.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

And I have to say, she was very open about her sex life. And the. And her other friend was not so open about her sex life as. And honestly, which is completely okay. But the way that her friend was, like, talking to her, I was kind of annoyed at, like, she started telling story about a guy and the other friend who was very open about her sex life, looked at her and was like, oh, I'm so proud of you. And I was like, why are you talking to her like that?

[Ria]

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[Fran]

You know?

[Ria]

Yeah, yeah.

[Fran]

Why are you talking to her? Like. Oh, like, patting her on the head.

[Ria]

Like, she's.

[Fran]

Yeah. I'm so proud of you. Like, Right. Like, you know, it's just like, felt like she was like.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

Humiliating her. Like, oh, you're not like me, you know. Right, right, right. So proud of you. But let me tell you, I was eating it up. I was eating up the entire dinner that I couldn't.

[Ria]

It's the best entertainment. But then you, like, kind of feel bad because, like, I do this all the time with Joe, too. And Joe's like, are you listening to me? And I'm like, no, I'm so sorry. I'm. I'm just. We're sitting in silence because I'm just listening to the other table.

[Fran]

You walked at the other table. Then we had another couple sit down next to us because this table was behind us. And then we had another couple sit down. So at one point, I was listening to the table behind us, and Matt was listening to the table next to us, and he was like, do you hear what's going on over here? I said, no, I'm sitting here.

[Ria]

Back here.

[Fran]

He's like, well, wait until I tell you what's going on on this side. So that was. That was some nice entertainment. Swoonies, but delicious, delicious meal. Oh, my God, let me tell you. Highly recommended Brooklyn really good burger.

[Ria]

Gonna have to. Gonna have to try. I mean, I could go for a good burger. I had that happen the other night. We just went and got sushi, and two gentlemen were at the table next to us, and one of them was French. And I don't know if he was. If he was in some marriage issues or what, but his. His friend was like, you got to get out now. You know, she can take half. Like, she just. And then run. The other guy was friends. She was like, asking about, like. Like, marriage laws here. It was. Yeah, it was very interesting.

[Fran]

Wow. See? Very interesting.

[Ria]

Yeah, right? You're like, oh. And the other guy was like, I'm telling you now, you. You don't. Wait, don't. He was like, you don't know what she's going to do down the line. It was like, whoa, this is intense.

[Noah]

Right?

[Fran]

You never. You never know who you're going to get set next to. Seriously, why can't I talk? Sit next to.

Please tell the story. I saw the video this morning. I, like, I teared up walking into the office.

Well, yeah, I was going home anyway. To me, my brother, my sister were kind of surprising my mom, like, as another birthday dinner thing, like, in Westchester. And then I had heard that I was just gonna go and go back to the city. But then I heard, like, oh, there's this family coming on Sunday. Like, so, like, if it was Nova's last night, I guess I'll stay. So I stayed over. It sounded promising. This family, like, messaged my mom or Murray on Instagram, and she was like. My mom was like, the Instagram finally worked. Like, yeah. Because she's always like, oh, no one ever adopts the dogs that we post. And then, yeah, this family came, and their dog looks identical to Nova. Like, if you go watch this video, like, it's really weird.

[Ria]

I couldn't even tell which one was which.

[Noah]

And they immediately got along. We had to. Like, my dad, when these dogs come over, takes Murray for, like, a drive because he kind of, like, gets in the middle of it and might affect the experiment.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Noah]

But, yeah, they got along really well. I felt bad. Cause when Murray got brought back once, we were like, okay, they're adopting Nova.

[Ria]

He came back. Nova was gone.

[Noah]

Murray came back, and they were, like, playing. And the new dog, like, got all up in Murray's face, like, barking, like, get the fuck away from Nova. This is my sister now. And then I have a video, but it's just.

[Fran]

Was Murray upset?

[Noah]

Yeah, I have a video. Because then we put Murray in a room where there's a glass door. And it was just Murray on one side and Nova on the other. And Murray is crying.

[Fran]

Oh, no, that's so sad.

[Noah]

But every, like, he'll get over it.

[Ria]

And, well, your mom will get a new foster.

[Noah]

Yeah. And it ended up being that they found out about Nova because we talked about it last week on Texting Office.

[Fran]

Oh, my God. It warms my heart.

They're from Pennsylvania, like, outside of Philly. So they drove. They made an exception for this family. They drove, like, over two hours to get Nova.

Also, Murray gets all the attention now. Like, yeah. Right after. Murray was just, like, laying on my mom for the rest of the day, so he'll get over it.

I don't know if everyone else was so surprised, but he was really taken aback. You know, we saw an SNL recently where he joked about always losing. He's always prepared to lose. So I think, once again, he was probably prepared to lose. But he won, and he got up there, and I thought he delivered a really great speech.

I think, you know, he did mention the usual thing is to get up there and be really humble. And, you know, humility goes a long way with actors when they get up there. But he was like, no, like, I, I. I want to be one of the greats. Like, I strive for greatness, which I think is really refreshing to hear. Like, you are allowed to have goals and want to achieve things. And a lot of times I feel like actors or actresses, they'll be like, oh, my God. Oh, my God, I can't believe I was nominated.

You know, and, like, of course you could be shocked. There's an element of being shocked. But then there's also an element of, like, I worked really, really hard for this, and I put a lot into this. And he said he put five and a half years of his life, so he's not going to downplay it. And, like, he did work really hard for this role.

I know the classiest thing would be to downplay the effort that went into this role and how much this means to me. But the truth is, it was five and a half years of my life. I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist, Mr. Bob Dylan, a true American hero. And it was the honor of a lifetime playing him. And you know, and like you said, he said, I'm. The truth is I'm really in pursuit of greatness. People don't usually talk like that. But I want to be one of the greats. I'm inspired by the greats. I'm inspired by the greats here tonight. I'm as inspired by Danny Day Lewis, Marlon Brando, Viola Davis as I am by Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps. And I want to be up there. This doesn't signify that, but it's a lot. Little more fuel, it's a little more ammo to keep going. Thank you. So just like it's honestly, I would.

Love to see Michael Phelps reaction be like double take. Like, did you just say my name like at an Oscar or actors award show?

[Ria]

Yeah, but he's, but that's what he's saying. Like he admires no matter what field you're in, he's like, I admire the greats. The great. What if you have really, you know, worked and perfected your craft and you're the best of the best. That's what he's aspiring to be and I think that's admirable.

[Fran]

I do too. I really thought it was great speech. I think more people should be like that and be open about their goals and wanting to achieve greatness. I think nowadays, you know, self deprecating humor does go a long way and it's always good to, you know, be self deprecating, be able to laugh at yourself is always huge and always stay humble and have that humility. But at the same time you're allowed to be proud of yourself and allowed to be proud of your accomplishments and want to achieve great things. Because then what else do you, what are you striving for if you're not striving to reach goals and be the best person that you can be. So I thought that was really great. I, I thought it was really nice for him to say that because it shows how much he cares and it's cool to care about things. I think there's also an element of these days people.

[Ria]

I don't even acknowledge that you like worked really hard.

[Fran]

You really. Right.

[Ria]

You work like I, I know where I'm supposed to be. Are like, oh my God, thank you. That was like. But it's like I. Five and a half years is so long.

That was like when Alona was asked about having imposter syndrome and she was like, I don't have imposter. Syndrome. Like, I deserve this.

Which I thought was really cool, too, because many people do have imposter syndrome because they're made to believe that you cannot feel proud of accomplishing things or. You know what I mean? So I thought it was cool, and I think it's cool to care about things, and it's. I think it's more cringy to not care about things, and people are like, I don't care about that. I don't care about that. Like, yeah, I did this. Whatever. Like, I think that is so much less cool than, like, actually caring.

Absolutely. Demi Moore won for the substance. She was great. She, you know, she's amazing. And the same kind of thing. Like, it's. I will say, the mix of the different winners, I. The Oscars are going to be interesting. You know, I know that there's been different winners at different awards. It hasn't been clean sweeps for a lot of people.

It seems like Zoe's definitely the favorite.

Okay. Something is so fucking fishy with that family. It's actually insane.

This poor girl, just so happy, so full of life. All she wanted to do was explore and travel and make her travel vlogs and just post on YouTube and just see the world and just be happy. And this fucking guy took that away from her. And it's extremely sad. There's really. Obviously there's no other way to put it. It's fucking devastating. It's so sad. I feel so bad for her family. His family. Bunch of pieces of shit. Like, I do not know how they're not in jail. Like, they knew.

You know, it's all.

There's so many details that I actually really don't watch it.

It's very interesting. There are things I didn't know either. It's extremely interesting. All very fishy. You know, he went back to the house. Parents kept telling.

The. The cops that he was.

I know the parents were trying to.

[Fran]

Cover for him a lot. A lot. They basically, like, the mom wrote him a letter and wrote burn after reading and. And was ba. And in the letter, it was basically like, I will bury a body for you. Like this just insane. And then, you know, the cops couldn't find him. They couldn't find him. All of a sudden, the parents are looking for one hour. They Find him and find letters he wrote admitting to. To murdering Gabby Petito. It's really sick. Like, there's something fucking off with this family. It's disgusting. But really good documentary.

[Ria]

Yeah. You know, is it one long one or like, multiple parts?

[Fran]

There's three episodes. Her family's in it. You know, her. Both of her parents, her stepparents are in it, some friends of hers, an ex boyfriend. It's. It's just extremely sad because you watch these videos that they have of her documenting the road trip that she was on with her boyfriend Brian at the time, and it's just so eerie to see, like, she was filming, you know, filming all of this, and you could see the. Oh, my. It really broke my heart watching her film these videos. And she's, like, putting herself down kind of while filming the videos. You know, she's like, I'm so bad at this, but she's still filming. And they're beautiful videos. It's. I don't know. It's just really, really sickening. Like, totally so sickening. So sad. The situation where the cops pull. Pulled them over because somebody had called saying they saw a guy slapping a girl, and it was them in the white van. And then the cops question them, and Gabby is saying that she was the aggressor, and he was like, she was hitting me or whatever. But in the phone call, and I don't. Like. I do think that happened, but in the phone call, the person who called in said they saw a guy slapping a girl, so he was clearly hitting her, too, but they made it kind of just seem like she was the one hitting him. And they put him in a hotel and left her on her own in a van. Like, the cops put him up in a hotel to get her away from her, but then left her in the van. It's like, it was so back.

[Ria]

It was just.

[Fran]

So why not put both of them in separate hotels? Two different hotels? You know, you just put one person in a hotel and leave the other one in a van. Like, I don't know that. I mean, the cops in that situation, you know, really have to be kicking themselves a little bit because one of the cops does say he's, like. A lot of times. You know, I forgot the exact words he used. He was like, a woman who's abused when she stays, like, ends up getting killed. And that is what happened. So just crazy. Just crazy details. I mean, his family is so, like, I don't know what the hell is going on in that house. I don't know. He was in the house, but he was never seen in the house. And then he escapes the house, but nobody catches him escaping the house. And then he takes his own life on the campgrounds and his bones are found and it's like, how did his. How were his bones found? Decomposed so quickly, but she. Her full body was found. I don't know. There's just so many, so many questions, details. But I truly think his parents deserve to be in jail. Like, they clearly had something to do with this. They knew what he did and covered it up. It's just so fucked up. But I thought it was a good documentary to shed light on what happened and, and more details that I honestly did not know really at the time that it was happening. I just remember like the search for him. Yeah, I remember this happening and I remember everyone searching for him and then when they found him or whatever. But I don't, you know, I do remember like, like them talking about his parents and being like there's something really off with his parents. But there was a lot more detail. So I'll give it, you know, it's hard to grade something like that, but I'll give it an A, you know, feel. I. I don't know what else to say, but I, I do feel just so awful for her family and for her. It's just such a sad. Such a sad story. The White Lotus Episode 2 I haven't watched episode talk about anything really. I'm kind of bored so far.

That's what my parents said. But I actually like this episode more than the first.

[Fran]

Really. I'm a little bit. I'm a little bit bored.

[Ria]

It's always start slow though.

[Fran]

It's picking.

[Ria]

It's only the second episode. Like I feel like every White Lotus season starts kind of slow and.

[Fran]

Yeah, for sure, 100%.

This one I think is a little bit slower than the other ones. I'll give this episode a B. It picked up towards the end, but for the first 40 minutes I was.

Like, yeah, I don't know. I kind of liked all like the talking at tables and like all just the, like they're establishing like the weird family.

Oh, I love.

[Fran]

Yeah, I love learning the family dynamics.

[Noah]

But I do like, I like all the characters. Like, I like where it's going.

Yeah, I'm excited to watch. I couldn't watch.

Yeah, it is funny like that, that the three women like how they're just all talking behind each other's backs. Like that's what. That's setting it up to be like, they all hate each other.

[Fran]

Yeah. It's. I love the three friends.

I love the dynamics they have going on.

I like that. I like that group.

Like, I like that storyline for sure. Yeah.

The weird family. Weird ass family, weird siblings. I mean, Patrick Schwarzenegger, he's gonna be a problem.

Let me tell you, he's playing a great job at playing a freaking weird freak. Freaking freak. Very interesting. I'll give it a B. Still good. Just like a little bit. But, you know, love is blind.

I watched the whole thing.

You're gonna have hit or miss seasons, and I think this one's a miss.

Yeah, I agree. I think they just ended up in Minneapolis finding just all, like the same people, different font. Like, it's just when you look at all the guys next to each other, it's all so similar. And the drama is they're trying so hard. I feel for the editors of this season. Cause I don't think they were working with much because the things that they ended up leaving in. I was like, this can't be the best material that they had that we're watching them talk about this. Or like the pods going on for six. Like, it was really the pods. Normally. I love the pod episodes. These dragged on. They really dragged on.

What's going on with the guy and his sister?

[Ria]

I keep saying everywhere Dave. Okay, here's the thing. Dave just does not like Lauren.

[Fran]

Mm.

[Ria]

Like, I think that that's the scenario he has found himself in. He loves his sister a lot.

[Fran]

I keep seeing he's like, I always thought I would want to find someone like my sister.

[Ria]

Yeah.

[Fran]

He really, really great.

[Ria]

Really cares about his sister. Really important. He keeps bringing it up, but he is stuck on the fact that Lauren. And maybe it's like, I think it also might be a sex thing for him because he. When they were in Honduras, he was like, asking all the other couples, like, have you had sex yet? Was like, talking about their sex life. And he and Lauren had not had sex yet. And it came out that Lauren. Minneapolis just maybe like too small of a city. I don't know. Everybody seems to know each other. There's too much going on and there's too many, like, behind the scenes things that's not on camera. And like, that's where the drama is coming from. And that makes her bad tv. So, like, the drama is that Lauren was seeing this guy very casually. Sounded like a hookup thing. It was like a friends with benefits. You know, they weren't dating. But when she wanted to hook up with somebody. Like, this is the guy she called, like, the last, like, couple months before she left for the show. He's stuck on, like, that she was seeing somebody before, and how could she be ready for marriage if she was doing that right before coming to the show? And apparently the guy is put in, like, really trying to meddle his way back in. Either. They said he was maybe trying to contact her. And he. The guy is friends with some of Dave's friends. So, like, he's telling Dave's friends, like, oh, like, we were seeing each other, like, making it sound like it was way more serious. And then the friends are telling Dave, and the sister found out. Now he's all worried because the sister found out and is, like, all worried about that. And Lauren's like, I feel so bad for Lauren because she's like, you're not listening to me at all. Like, she's fighting for her life, trying to be like, why don't you trust me? Like, I'm telling you what really happened. And he's like, yeah, I don't know. I'm just like, that's what my friends are saying. So, like. Yeah. And it's just weird. And he keeps talking about her when she's right there. And it's weird. Like, they went and met with some of Lauren's friends. And Lauren's friends were trying to reassure him. Like, we never met this guy. Like, they were not dating, like, anybody. She seriously dated. Like. Like, we've met. Like, this was such a casual thing. And he's talking about her. She's sitting right there. Like, she's, like, crying. Like, he's. I don't know. I get. I get sketch vibes from him. And I got sketch vibes from him from the beginning because in the pods, he was like, yeah, I work, you know, every. All the girls that I dated before, like, it was all really about looks. And, like, they're all sounded like he dated a lot of fake, you know, type of. Type of ladies. But he's like, works in the Botox filler world. And, like, I see Aussie things, and he just keeps bringing up, like, you know, Lauren is not the usual girl that he dates. So I'm like, does. I'm like, okay, so you just don't like her, and maybe now you don't want to be a dick, right? And, like, be on TV and be like, actually, you know what? I don't like you.

[Fran]

Yeah. And there's also nothing worse than a guy who likes, like, puts down, like, Fillers, Botox, whatever. But then that is what they like, right? It's like you're putting something down that you do, like, but you're, like, almost mad at yourself for liking it.

[Ria]

I know guys like Dave, and it just is. He's like, yeah. I mean, I'm athletic. Like, I played baseball, University of Minnesota, like, blah, blah, blah. He's just, like, kind of douchey.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Ria]

And it seemed like maybe he was going to be okay. And now, like, this. This. I'm like, dude, let it go. Either break up or let it go. Because this is, like, the stupidest thing ever that they keep fighting about this.

[Fran]

If he's never gonna let it go now.

[Ria]

Yeah. And there's no. Like, he's. He's like, oh, well, why don't you talk? He, like, won't let her. She's, like, trying to talk to his friends to be like, oh, well, can I talk to them? He's like, I don't think so. Like, I'm like, what's going on here? Like, this is. It's. It's very weird. The other couples all seem to be getting along swimmingly. Like, everybody else is like, yeah, there's maybe one other little hiccup at the end of these most recent episodes, but. And then, like, Taylor and Daniel, they tried to have, like, a really dramatic moment of, like, Taylor being like, I think he followed me on Instagram and, like, knew what I look like. And he was like, no, I didn't. And that they were like, okay. And now they're, like, totally fine. So I think editing had a. I think editing had a. Had a struggle this season to really probably get. Get. Get some things together, get some juicy stuff going. So we will see. But there was maybe a little hiccup with Ben, like, with some girl. Here's the thing. It's like a small town. So it's like when the. These people have, like, they dated around. They're on their phones now, and they're like, oh, my God, this girl made a TikTok saying that she dated somebody that she knows is now filming Love is Blind and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, you know? And that seems to be where, right. Some drama's coming. But my God, like, are these guys. These guys Ben, Dave, Daniel? I don't even remember the other name. Oh, Joey and Monica. I don't know, but I don't. I don't know about them. Joey, like, is literally just Wrigley from Tell Me Lies.

[Fran]

I saw people saying that.

[Ria]

Like, it's actually kind of crazy. And they, Monica and Joey are actually really entertaining because when they, like, they just start laughing about things that maybe aren't funny, but, like, that's clearly how they handle it. So it's just like, ha. Oh, my God. Is that. Is that a red flag?

[Fran]

Yeah, they're, like, just trying to, like, pretend like it's not happening.

[Ria]

Like, I could tell he thinks some of the things she's doing is weird. So he's like, ha. I've never seen that before.

[Fran]

He's like, maybe if I laugh about this, it'll just be funny.

[Ria]

Literally, that's all they do is laugh. And there's no drama. Their biggest thing is like, oh, maybe Monica's sister doesn't like him. And then also, Monica's family uses a sock bin instead of normal. Everyone has. They have a communal sock bin instead of everyone having their own sock drawer.

[Fran]

I never heard of that.

[Ria]

No, nobody has. Nobody has. I think that's very unique to Monica's family.

[Fran]

But that's where they. They wear their socks.

[Ria]

Yeah. So it should be. It should be very interesting. Even the other guy in the podcast, I forget what his name was. That was between Meg and the other girl, Marcus Marshall. One of those. It was also, like an M name. I think they just all look the same. They're the same.

[Fran]

Just right when they say it was like, oh, so you just copy and paste of everybody.

[Ria]

Like, it's actually. Actually kind of crazy. And I like, you know, it's very sweet seeing their other families. I would say, like, the Devin, and I'm already forgetting what Devin. Oh, then there was, like, a thing with maybe Devin reconnecting with. With Britney. I don't know. You see. You see the previews of, like, when they meet the other girls that they were talking to in the podcast, but it doesn't really seem like that much drama. Virginia and Devin actually seem like a good match as well. But they're like. They're talking about real life stuff, which sometimes doesn't make for, like, the most entertaining show. Like, she's like, hey, I think we should get a prenup. You know, they're talking about, like, very real. Like, hey, if we get married, like, I think we should talk about these things. So it's just not crazy.

[Fran]

It just seems like things are maybe working out.

[Ria]

Yeah. Like, it's like, right. Not.

[Fran]

Yeah, it's actually, like, working.

It's. There's, like, couples that, like, really make. Get married and live happily ever after.

Right. So which they might be like, all right, success.

Not the most drama filled. But I'll give that probably like a C minus because, you know, it's not giving the drama like although you know, good for them if it all works out, but it's not giving the drama that it we love from that show. I will say this, though. Johnny Fairplay swore on his grandmother. That should be just, like, a rule. No, no. Well, it's not a rule. That's. If people want. Why is that? Why should that be a rule? If people want to do that to themselves.

And make themselves look like fools and swear on their fucking family members or whatever, that's on them. Right. Johnny Fairplay did that in Survivor, and I saw people write, like, Johnny Fairplay's grandmother smiling down, thinking of people using this, because it is one of the most famous things in Survivor that Johnny Fairplay swore on his. His. On his grandmother.

No. Johnny Fairplay claimed that his grandmother died, but she was still alive. Oh, so he told people.

I mean, even. It's just like, it's the level of. If you care enough or about that. About that energy you're putting out in the universe. You know, that's what people lie about getting out of things, and they're like, I have a funeral. It's like, okay, I want to use that as the right.

No, totally. But let me tell you, Danielle clearly doesn't care. If Danielle. Daniel wins. If Daniel was. It's gonna be the most frustrating watch because it's like, we all see. I really. And so many of the other cast members said it. They were like, oh, we didn't respect the game that Danielle played, blah, blah, blah. And that's so clear. But it's like she just.

If she wins, you can't really say, yeah, she wins.

And it's like, okay, well, you all fucking fell for it.

And here's the thing. Like, people, although I dislike Danielle, but I really just dislike her for the, like, the theatrics, like, the fall into the ground and all that's like, you don't. You don't have to be doing that.

But I also agree.

I don't think she's playing a great game.

She's lying her ass off for a reason. She has to. She's a traitor.

She cannot lie. She's. She has to lie. But is she so annoying and like, some of the things she's doing, like, just incredibly annoying. Yes.

She screwed herself big time with the game, definitely. Because I really think if she didn't do that, like, it was so would have been On Danielle, like, 100%. I think everybody was starting. Starting to. To lean more towards Danielle, and they should anyway. And I really hope Gabby sticks to her. To her guns There feeling like that was traitor on traitor. Sneaky the trainer. Funniest thing is that, like, if the Faithfuls win and they get all the traitors and somehow Dolores and Tom make it to the end. Just voting for each other every. Every table when it's like, like, guys, come on. Now you're getting down to the end and you're. You're using your votes like that. That's like. Like, why even be there? Like, what game? Like, why even play the game if you're just going to Take jabs at each other this far along. Like at the first couple roundtables. Sure. But now there's like eight, seven. Eight people, and you're going to waste a vote like that. And Tom being so set on Dolores is so bizarre. Like, there's no. So I get. I mean, like, Dolores is just the kind of woman who's going to. She's going to throw it back at Tom, like, no matter what. So I don't know what kind of.

Cat and mouse game Dolores and Tom are playing, but they're.

They're cannot keep voting for each other.

They're on an island of their own just voting for each other.

[Ria]

And it's funny taking them out of the game completely. Right? It's funny, but at the same time, you're like, guys, you need to get your head in the game and start throwing votes on people that are actually talked about. The roundtable.

Because Dolores just being like, I'm just voting for Tom because Tom's over me and Tom just voting for Dolores.

[Ria]

I know.

[Fran]

So random. Because they're fighting. They're just voting for each other because they're fighting.

I know. And they really could have made a difference, too, because I think. Think, like, I think Tom had a good relationship with Carolyn. So I feel like. Yeah. Like, I feel like Tom would have voted for Danielle and, like, then Dolores would have had a really important vote, too, and that would have been ten times more interesting for sure, if they had all gotten involved in that. Tom and Tom and Dolores. Okay.

When they flipped both their votes, I literally screamed at the tv.

I was like, what are you doing? I know.

Why are you guys doing this?

Tom is so funny, though. At the game where he's. They're like, who's the biggest threat to the Tracy? Like, I think it's me. I think it's.

Tom is so perfect for this show, sadly enough. Him when they're playing the game and he's, like, so adamant that he's the answer to every question, but then he actually was the answer. I was like, wow, that really just a real notch on his belt that.

The one where he didn't say his name. And then even Alan was like, well, why didn't you say anything? Because he's like, ah, I knew it was gonna be me.

Right? No, I mean, he was so heavily saying it was him. And everyone was like, no, we think it's Dylan. And oh, by the way, Parvati being like, Dylan is like Peter Weber, like, Mr. Good Boy. I was like, yes. Like, she can tell she knew before any of us watching that Dylan was giving pilot Pete.

Yep.

But another great episode. Solid A. I can't wait for this week because, like, we need to know what's gonna happen with Danielle. It's.

You know what I thought was interesting seeing also so, yeah, stupid to pick the person closest to you as a traitor.

And Britney, literally, even in her moment when she was like, if this is Danielle and she picked me, that's like, so obvious. So obvious. It's like, even Brittany was like, you.

Gotta pick, like, Dylan because, you know, you just gotta. You just gotta fucking Dylan in the seat and go. You can't pick the person closest to you.

No, it's like, that's why it's so annoying because every move she makes is so frustrating. But it's working with it. Like, you know, like, it's like, right.

She makes a move, you disagree with the move.

It's like, the move sucks, but then it somehow works. And it's so frustrating because nobody's caught her in any of these moves and been like, oh, we caught you. Bad move. There's been bad move after bad move that nobody's caught. So.

Oh, my God, it's crazy. I'll never.

That might get a good move. I don't know.

Yeah, I don't know what's gonna happen in this next.

Yeah, I don't know either. But I cannot get this visual of her dropping to the ground as if. Yeah, they actually caught a kidnapper in their home and got dragged out like it was. It's insane. But that's all I watched.

So I'll give Love is blind episodes 1 through 9 a C. Just like, very average. The episodes are too long, by the way. Like, just my last thought about it. It's like over an hour too long. They gotta. It's like they just didn't even have enough material to make the them this long. They were talking about such stupid stuff. I'll give Traders an A as well. So good. Just so solid. Joe and I finished season one of Severance. Great. I understand why everyone said, like, once you get more towards the end of the first season. Crazy to me that this first season ended in 2022 and that's how long people had to wait. Yeah, Like, I was like, if I had watched season one when it was on and the way season one ends is just like giant fucking cliffhanger. And I'm like, oh, My God. The second season didn't come out till 2025.

Severance and paradise are the top two on my list right now to watch.

[Ria]

Yeah. Severance. I thought it was really. Those, like, seven, eight, nine. I think there was nine total. Yeah. Really, really good. So I'll give that. I guess I was already grading. I don't know from where I left off. Five through nine, I guess it is. Or four through nine, whatever it is. Was. Was really good. Like, a minus, I thought, like, that was. That was really good. And I'm caught up on Beverly Hills. It's been fine. Nothing crazy. I'll give it a B minus. And I have a few more other things to catch up on. Oh, I watched One of them Days. Kiki Palmer.

Like, yeah, everyone's loving it. And I'm, like, so locked in. Like, I'm so pumped, like, every week to just watch that show. It's an A minus for me. Like, just really good. I watched the first few episodes of Court of Gold, which is the documentary.

People are out here saying it's, like, better than Sopranos. It's the greatest show of all time. I don't think that's true, but I. I respect it. And I'm also very confused a lot of the time.
