It was like a really large effort to get that out right now. Lots of events this weekend. You know, the big sweet 16 almost took me out.

I'm okay. I left my apartment for the first time today since Friday. I did get hit with the. With the stomach bug. New York City is kind of a petri dish right now. It's real bad. Everyone I know, like, even people I don't know, just, like, posting on social media, seeing other people. This neurovirus, stomach bug, whatever the hell is going around, flu, like, it's. It's crushing everybody and in different levels. Like, some people get it for a few days and it really is really, really bad. I got it Friday. It was not great, but I've been okay, really, since then. It was not a. Like a full disaster.

Throwing up or.

[Ria Ciuffo]

Yeah, but. But I have a. I am not. I really not have fear, but I just really dislike throwing up. Like, I will do. I will do everything I possibly can to not throw up.

And all day Friday, Joe was like, you got like, you're. You're stuck. Like, I was getting, like, sharp pains. He's like, you gotta, like, it's gonna. You need. You just have to do it. And eventually it just happened. Like, there was no really evading it, but. And that was like. And then that was kind of it. And I was sort of okay after that and really fought through it all day Saturday of like, just eating crackers and water and just, like, going as slow as possible to not. To not make it worse in any way. But now it's gone through my whole family. My mom got sick out of the Super Bowl. Gia said that TJ got sick this weekend, too. He was here visiting. Put it put a toe in New York City. I think your. Your chances of getting. Getting this thing, like, skyrocket.

Yes. So Rhea got mad at me because I didn't tell her I saw her.

We were texting all weekend long, by the way.

I purposely didn't tell you because once it got. Once I got through it, I was like, okay, this wasn't. It was. It sucked, but it wasn't horrendous. Like, some people were getting it horrendously. And I knew you had multiple events this weekend.

And I was like, if I text her on Friday, like, when I'm down bad, being like, hey, I'm down bad right now, Just want to let you know, like, you. It would have debilitated you for the rest of the week.

The thing is, you telling me would have given me the stomach virus.

Yes.

I would have also got the stomach virus on Friday if you told me.

I would have been like, I'm getting out ahead of it. No, it's just like, we're together every day, so I thought. And we were texting all weekend, so I thought you would have been like, oh, my God, I have the stomach virus.

Last night, I didn't sleep till 2 in the morning thinking about the fact that I could possibly be getting this.

And I also know that if at any point this weekend you felt like you were getting sick, you would have texted me, and I would have been like, ooh, hate to break it to you, but yeah. Right. I think. I think I have it. And then, like, then it would have been a different story. I didn't want. You did the right thing, like, mentally. I know how this would have crushed you.

Absolutely.

And I wanted you to enjoy that. You had the sweet 16. You had a bridal shower.

You know how afraid I am of the stomach virus. And I mentioned that last week, so I actually applaud you and thank you, because that was the smart thing to do.

Because if you did start feeling sick, you would have said something to me, and I would have been like, you know what I gotta say? Like, I'm sick. And, like, then you would have been like, we have it. It's fine. Yeah.

I went through it and got out the other side and I was like, you know what? She seems to be okay. I'm not gonna worry her.

They do have germs. And let me tell you, this sweet 16 was lit. There was a huge robot dancing. Like a person inside a robot suit, not like one of those robots. Good music. I had a couple of dirty martinis, which felt strange at a sweet 16.

I love. I love a premium bar at a. At a sweet 16. I felt like, really, like, that's for the adults.

Like, I was like, ooh, I have. I was on the dancer, like, just doing, like, the little shimmy with my dirty martini. I saw.

Oh, my God, I love that.

You know, grinded on each other type of thing. Actually, they weren't really. They. They honestly was very appropriate dancing.

I saw from the crowd everything you sent me. I loved every. Every second of it.

Friends were matching dresses. I was classic.

It was so classic. Yeah. It was just a classic sweet 16. It was actually beautiful. So it was. Honestly, we had a lot of fun.

And then Sunday, I had a bridal shower. Gorgeous. Like Galentine's theme, you know, so cute. Red and pink. Everybody wear, like, one of those colors. A DJ at that, too. So lots of dancing, a little shimming on the dance floor all weekend, and that's, you know, that's that. And now I'll go into the week nervous about getting the stomach Virus and we just carry on.

Exactly.

And if it's to happen, it's to happen.

I wish I was shit me. Ing this weekend. I was horizontal basically the entire time.

Are you glad you're through it now, though? No more fear.

Yeah, definitely. Definitely. But it's. It's crazy. I mean, even. They made a joke about it on the SNL special, which we'll talk about, too. But even that, like, during the weekend update, they made a joke about how they're calling it, like, the quademic right now in New York because there's like 40 different. I mean, quad. It's obviously four, but there's so many illnesses going around right now that it's just.

I am dodging them left and right.

Yeah, I thought. I thought I was. You know what? I just pushed it a little bit. After coming home from New Orleans, I needed, like, some full days of rest, and there was. There was events and I was out and I was doing things. And then Friday, my bot. Like, Friday was like, you bitch. You know, it was like you felt the. Like, you could have taking better care of yourself, therefore your immune system would be working a little bit better and maybe put you in a better situation to fight this off. But definitely came for me.

I know. No, it came for everybody.

Well, I was riddled with stomach bug on Friday, so it wasn't great. You know, nothing's worse also than getting hit with a stomach bug on Valentine's Day when I, like, Joe, had my favorite candy and chocolate covered strawberries and all the things. And I was like, I can't eat any of this.

Oh, my God, it was terrible. I was just staring it all on the counter. I was like, oh, I can't have a single one.

But I bet that now you feel good about it. Like, today you're like, I didn't eat all that.

But you're gonna eat at the same time.

Okay. So actually we did end up going to dinner. Just local spot nearby Thursday night. Because we were just like, oh, why don't we just go to dinner, yeah, get a couple of drinks. Which was lovely. It was just a random. We didn't plan to go to dinner, so it was great. But then Friday, we had an amazing night at home. Wine, candy, chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries, the whole shebang. You know, had a cutie little outfit on. And, you know, then we started to cook and something happened with the dough.

Oh, no.

Okay. Something happened with the dough.

[Ria Ciuffo]

There was a mishap with the dough.

There was a mishap with the dough. We could not fucking figure it out. Okay. When we looked up how to make the raviolis, we've made fresh pasta before, but I made it with the flour that you're supposed to make it with, which is like the double zero flour, whatever it's called. I just know it's not all purpose flour.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But I had all purpose flour at home and I had everything at home and I didn't have the other flour. And I looked it up and it was like, you'll be fine using the all purpose flourish. It was not fine.

It was not fine. It just kept falling apart, crumbling. It was the whole thing. It just kept falling apart. And at one point we said, screw it. We're just making.

Right. And I should have gotten it. And I was lazy about it. I thought, oh, the all purpose flower will work. And it did not. It did not. And I.

You live and you learn. We'll have to try. We will have to try the raviolis at a different time. But like we did it, and it wasn't working. And I said, all right, screw this. Let's throw it out. Let me tell you, one of my best. One of my best vodka sauces. It had the touch of love in it.

We went to the Comedy Cellar, which somehow that was my first time going.

No, that was the day before, so. So when I went, I wasn't really expecting, like, a big name because it was, like, right during the SNL concert. So.

Right. Friday at the concert.

Yeah, I recognize some of the names. And all the guys were funny, or all of the people were funny.

Yeah.

And it was funny, though, because afterwards it was just like, four of us, and we're like, all right, let's go have dinner somewhere in the West Village. And I'm like, you know, we're not going to get in anywhere. Like, on Valentine's Day, four guys just. So we were going, like, door to door, getting denied everywhere. And also, like, they're not from New York, my friends. And one of them was wearing a Patriot sweatshirt and walked. Was walking to Via Corota to, like, go in.

They put on a full show, but then at a certain point, they changed clothes and they handed out all this Christmas merch to everybody in the crowd. And they filmed part of the Christmas movie at the show. And girls that were there, I was. I was getting fed. All the tiktoks were like. Some people were like, honey, where's my. Where's my check for being an extra? We just got thrown into. Thrown into being in a scene of the movie. They didn't. They came out and they did. You. You know, you make every day feel like it's Christmas. There's fake snow, the whole thing. And it caused. It caused a little stir in the. In the Jonas community. However, I will have to say that as far as, like, smart ideas go, I think it's pretty smart because they could have done that and gotten people to go and. And only film the thing for the movie, and that would have, like, really been upsetting for people. But they did put on a full concert. Like, they did a full show. Lots of old songs, throwbacks, fun moments. And then they did the Christmas thing on top of it, and it was only $20, so. But girls were cracking me up on TikTok, being like, why'd I pay $20 to be an extra in the Jones Brothers Christmas movie?

And at the same time as you would have paid. I know. Hundreds, and it was thousands. And what's crazy too, is there were girls that were like. I wasn't like. Because it was in Toronto. They're like, I was an extra in Camp Rock. And now here I am through the years. Because they filmed it up there, too, so they're always finding themselves. I mean, that was a big moment. They did that right after they announced. Right after they announced Jonas Khan. So, look, I'm. I'm willing to do anything. I will bartend the Camp Rock bar. I will sign in people at the door. I will host a panel. I will walk around the venue selling Jonas memorabilia.

Yeah. Anyway, the SNL concert manager, Maria, is exhausted. The SNL concert was. Was very enjoyable for somebody who was bedridden all weekend. And you know what I thought was really cool that I loved was the Post Malone Nirvana performance. That was really cool. Post Malone is so talented.

He can't do it all.

I was listening to White Iverson on my way in today, and I thought to myself, wow, if I'm Post Malone, right? So many different genres I ventured into. If I hear this at a diner or a Denny's, which I'm only mentioning that because my brother met him at a Denny's once. Wow. I know. And I hear this song. Come on, it must be like, wow. Like, nostalgic. Like, this is one of my first hits and how far I've come.

He truly does. I mean, he can go from that to a full country album to hitting the stage with Nirvana and going full, like, grunge rock star voice. It's really very, very cool.

He has it all.

He does, he does. But some great performances. All the stars were there and everybody. They've been to everything. They did everything all weekend. They went to all the shows and then Sunday they did, you know, also Cher. Sorry, just one more. Cher. My God, is she amazing? Just unbelievable.

We had a. That was fantastic. Cher's incredible. But then Sunday night they did the full 50th anniversary special, which was 3ish plus hours of sketches and look back moments. They brought back old sketches, old characters, old cast members. Steve Martin came out and did the monologue, which I thought was really, I mean, really. I love the whole thing. I was smiling ear to ear the entire time watching it. Some things laughed at more than others. But they brought back some of the classic sketches that you really just. You can't. You can't go wrong with them. I think like the Denise with Kristen Wiig. Black Jeopardy. Eddie Murphy doing a Tracy Morgan impression was so funny. Linda Richmond with. With Mike Myers. So like, that is sweater weather.

Oh, it's just. It really. The list goes on. They did so many good ones.

Exactly. Seeing like Will Ferrell do sket and. And seeing Adam Sandler. Sandler the song. And he was getting choked up mentioning, you know, the people that have passed. Kristen Wiig is so iconic. She's had so many great ones. I love the Kate McKinnon alien stuff. Always does make me laugh. It's so ridiculous. They threw Meryl Streep in there to make it even more.

Then they threw in Domingo, which was smart, because I think, like, Domingo has Taken the world by storm is one of the more recent sketches that has, you know, gone mega, mega viral. Throw picture Pascal on there. Bad Bunny. So good, so funny. Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina. Should I. She's been the musical guest, but she should host. Like, she is funny.

I would bet everything I have that Blake Lively knew that moment was happening. Noah tried to text in our group that Blake was legitimately shocked that that was his answer. And there is no way. 1. That entire thing was incredibly scripted for everybody. For everybody.

And watching the documentary, they talked about how SNL is, like, 99%. Like, no one ever goes off script.

I still think that that head turn was, like, not scripted there.

Whether you buy it or you don't buy it, because, you know, a lot of people are shitting on this. This is straight out of the Ryan Reynolds playbook. Like, this could not be more Ryan Reynolds to, like, make a joke.

But do you think it's weird to be, like, making jokes out of this?

Probably not the best thing to make a joke, to be honest.

That's what I'm saying. I think that's the Ryan Reynolds playbook. I don't think he knows really how to handle things without making a joke to his detriment. You know, like, it's not helped him in many cases, but that's how he does these things, and that's how they handled it in. In this moment. Some good X moment. Because obviously, everything everyone was then like, oh, Scarlett Johansson is there. And they've been talking about. There's been a lot of chatter about their relationship recently because they've been talking so much about Ryan. My mind, because I'm stuck at 16 years old, goes to Miley and Nick, like, being there together. And they probably could care less at this point. It's been, like, so fucking long. They dated when they were 13.

But it does make my heart flutter a little bit to think of. To think of them in the same room. And I was happy Nick was a part of something because I saw that he was gonna be there, and I Was like, oh, my God, that's so cool. He was a part of the John Mulaney, like, New York through the years musical number. John Mulaney is so good, so funny, so creative. I thought that was really funny. Cocaine and a little vodka to Akuna Matata was really funny. Holding the whole Les Mis moment. And of course, like, Nick was so serious saying Les Mis when it was, when it was his part, of course I was like, he is singing.

He's a theater kid.

He is. And he has, he's, you know, he loves Les Mis. He's been in it many times. So I, that was great. But the Blake and Ryan moment was a, was a big one that everybody's talking about today. That they were even just there in the first place, I think people were surprised by, you know.

Right. You would think that they would maybe be laying low, but I guess not. I also, Kim Kardashian was in the crowd and Pete Davidson whole thing.

I was like, oh, Kim did well in her, in her sketches. I thought she was, I thought she was great.

Yeah, I saw that. The only, the only thing that I thought didn't land for me, like, I really enjoyed the entire show was, was the Andy Samberg Bowen Yang song. I, I that one. I was like, I kind of understood what they were trying to do, but I felt like it wasn't. I don't know, I thought maybe they went a little more dark comedy with it. It would have been funnier, but it just wasn't fantastic. But I thought everything else was great. Music, performances, Eddie Murphy.

I was thinking, like, because some of the newer cast members were in skits with Eddie Murphy last night, and I was like, they must be like, shitty. No, I completely, like, imagine just being in the skit with Eddie Murphy on snl.

The naughty professor jokes were cracking me up. I Nutty professor is probably the most quoted Mariano family movie of all time.

Which sounds ridiculous, but if you know my family, you know, they love a good fart joke. And the Nutty professor table dinner table scene is. I think my Dad's watched it 500 times. Like, he watches it on YouTube sometimes.

And she had that crazy, controversial moment Saturday Night Live back in the day. And people think that that really, like, had derailed her career and many other things. So that was. She did that with Brittany Howard and Aubrey Plaza was the one who presented the. The performance, which was like. I was like. I gasped when I saw her because, like, oh, my God, you know, just hope that she's. That she's doing okay. And it was nice to see. See her there. And I'm sure she is friends and knows so many of those people that it feels comfortable to. To be there. But yeah, like a great performances. Yeah.

And then the song changed from more Dolly sounding verse and it felt like the, like the whole vibe of the song sort of change and then it just didn't fully mesh together in my mind.

But it seems like they have an amazing love for each other.

I think that's even why they appreciate it so much, you know? And it's. It's so sweet to hear what they have to say about each other. I thought it was super cute and funny for what it was because I don't have much high expectations for comedy movies that go straight to streaming anymore. Like, I just don't have high expectations. Yeah, that's solid. I. I watched it. I thought it was cute. I just like the. They didn't really the romance element of it. I thought they dropped the ball on like there were some funny moments and I got like the comedic effort of it. But it was either like make them actually have a romantic storyline or don't just have it be like sister verse dad and don't have there be any romance to it because all of a sudden it was like the end of the movie and the daughter was like by the way my dad likes you. And it was like, what? It's like they didn't flirt one time. Like, give them one little flirty couple of flirty moments through their fighting. There was no, like, fight, flirty banter. It's just like they were fighting. So I was like, there's no. There's no. There's no romantic chemistry here for me with these two. I feel like they could have just made it a comedy and even left out that. That part of it completely.

I will just say this. There felt. It felt like a sabotage moment right before the finale that just came out of left fucking field. I don't know why they. I don't know why it happened. It didn't make any sense to me. I don't know what they have. I don't know if they're just jealous or what the case is, but it really felt like it came out of left field. I'm rooting for Ronnie and Harriet to make it work in. In real life. I hope that they. That they do. Ronnie really is giving, like, ride or die energy for Harriet, which I respect, but at the same time, like, don't be a dick. You know, like, sometimes he is trying. He's trying to support Harriet, but then he's, like, rude to other people because of it. And I'm like, you don't have to do that.

Gabby and Casey, I like. I. I actually. I'm rooting for Gabby and Casey to win. I think that they've had the most solid journey. They seem to really, really like each other. They're a good match. I think they could work on the outside. Got her like her brother's approval, like things that mattered. I think people are nervous about Casey just cuz it's, you know, this is his third time on the show and blah, blah, blah. But I do think eventually people do want to find something or like he does want a relationship and they can still do their whole social media thing. He can still be his little tick tock boy and do his all this funny stuff and like be in a relationship. So I hope that works and everybody else, like good for them. Like I, you know, hope that they pan out. But I don't like Elma had a. Elm had a tough go. She went from being voted like favorite girl to everybody really turning on her with her attitude. And there's a whole nother level of British reality TV that we're not privy to that. I think people get their opinions from like the. I think she was on the Only Way is Essex. So like people are gathering their opinions from that. I saw some people being like, she and Ekin are both trying to be like head of the villa. I'm like, I think Elmo's trying to be head of the villa. I think Elma thinks her competition is Ekan, so she's going for Ekin and Ekin's like, whoa, like what's going on here? Right. And I. She just had an attitude that was like unnecessary.

Yeah. Real salty behavior.

Kind of rude and like really holding grudges a little bit. Curtis and Ekin are. Curtis and Ekin I actually see working solely because I also think they. They could work because they both. I think they both love the fame and the spotlight, so maybe that could be their thing together.

You know. And yeah, Sammy and Alma, we'll see how it works. There's also now talks of like, oh, they were act, they were dated, they were seeing each other before the show and then it was all planned for them to come on. At the end of the day, I think that's going to happen with All Stars. It's kind of like a Bachelor in paradise situation where it's like some of these people are just going to talk, they're going to know each other. Maybe they've been on a date before. There's only so many people you can pick to be on the show that want to do it, so that really doesn't bother me. As much. But Sammy's really. I mean, Sammy's 23, so we'll see. He's all Mr. I'm so mature and I've grown so much now, but I don't know how much I. I don't know how much I believe that, really. So I'm rooting for. I'm rooting for Gabby and Casey.

Yeah, it's been a good season. Lots of drama so far. And especially leading up to the finale.

I'm rooting for Luca and Grace as well. If that, if they were. If it was between those two, I'd be happy for either one of them.

And like I said, this drama, the last episode before the finale. Whoa. Explosive. It's really got the people talking. I'm on TikTok that like ex Islanders are on TikTok live, like all talking about it all in different rooms in South Africa. It's. It's really got the people going over there. You're cordially invited. I'll give a C. It was cute, like very mid level, you know, Traders. I'll give an a. Solid. Solid. SNL concert B plus. That was good. SNL 50th anniversary special, I think I give an A. I really, I was. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I locked in. I was smiling ear to ear the entire time. So I, I really liked it. I have not watched Love is Blind yet either. White Lotus Episode one. Don't spoil nights. I won't spoil anything. But good episode. Good opening episode. Love the characters. I'm really. I. The, the family I think is great. The three friends I think is great. I'm really. It's. It's gonna be really good. I think I really liked the first episode a lot. I give the first episode A. I don't know. I was locked in. I don't want to go too crazy because I. It could, but it could just stay this way. I'm gonna give it an A minus.

It's, like, kind of embarrassing. I'm sure he's watching it back, like, not loving how this looks. She's, like, not answering his phone calls. She, like, does not want to hang out with him. I think she really just wants to be on tv. Like, I think she's loving being on Southern Charm, but, like, doesn't want anything to do with Shep as Shep.

And then Southern Charm. I finished the last episode of Salt Lake City Reunion, third part. Fantastic season of Salt Lake City. Just, like, well done, ladies. You crushed it. I thought it was a fantastic season. I'LL give that a B. I really thought that they had a. Had an amazing season. Bronwyn was a great new addition. I thought Mary was like comeback player of the year. I really thought. I really did not like watching Mary at the beginning of this show. Like the earlier seasons had a totally different feel since then. In this season, I thought she was extremely entertaining. And I believe that's everything I watched. Oh, I watched Joe and I watched the first episode of Severance.

I've really seen a lot of discourse about it at all. Yeah, I'm pretty locked in. Like, it's just, like, a fun. It just keeps reminding me of. I keep saying it's like Lost, but it's just that type of show where you're just like. You have no idea what's going on. But that's kind of what brings me back every week. I'll give that. I'll give it an A minus. Like, I. Actually, I'm, like, pretty locked in on that. I watched the SNL doc, which was, like, the four episodes I like. There are parts that I liked, but I didn't love it. Like, I felt. I don't know, it felt, like, very, like, overproduced, and I'd rather just, like, watch.

They were all very different styles.

Yeah, very different styles. Didn't feel like cohesive. And I just would rather watch the people, like, talk about it instead of, like, do all these, like, montages and weird stuff. I don't know. I'll give it a C plus. Severance. Last couple episodes, I'll give a B plus. It's kind of. It's kind of losing me for a second now. Now I'm like, actually, Trent watches Severance. So we text about it and we're both like, I don't know, like, what's going on anymore? It's kind of, like, getting a little crazy.

But not in, like, a great way. Yeah, all the acting is great, though. Like, John Turturro is so good.

I feel like I lost, like, my main purpose of watching, but now just rooting for Tom. I don't like. Like, I just like him on the show. I like the idea of him winning because it's so ridiculous.

Have you guys seen the girl on TikTok who films her boyfriend? And they're watching Traitors, and she knows nothing. Like, he knows nothing about Tom Sandoval. Like, he doesn't know any of the lore around Tom Sandoval. And he just, like, fucking loves Tom Sandoval. He calls him Tommy Boy.

And he's like, oh, come on, Tommy Boy. Like, it's very funny. And it's like, she's like, he has no idea. Like, he doesn't, you know.

Yeah, he's flying blind, happy with Him, Dolores, like Dylan, any of those guys winning. I just really hate Daniel surviving Black Hawk down, which is like a three part documentary. I watched.

I actually watched the first episode.

Yeah. Which I have always loved Black Hawk down, the movie. So this was like, very interesting to me. And honestly, like, because it was done by Ridley Scott's like, product, so it was really well done. And they got interviews with like both sides of the war.

Like, yeah, if I were to give like my favorite parts, I would give it like an A. But there were some parts where I was kind of lower. But it's like, it's three and a half, four hours.
