For sure. I got my ears pierced. Little follow up. We talked about this on Wednesday's episode. Was thinking about getting my ears pierced for a while. Didn't want to do it before, you know, wedding, honeymoon. You got to be careful with your piercings. Whatever. So now I have them and they're cute and I love them.

Yep, they're adorable.

And they don't hurt at all, by the way.

I was gonna say. How do you feel?

[Fran]

Do you feel completely fine? It didn't hurt getting them pierced. It doesn't hurt now at all. Not at all.

Truly barely felt it. No.

Mean, we went to a. Yeah, we went to. Girls were asking me. We went to Maria Tosh in the city and been. It's. I mean, it feels fine and yeah, I'm happy about it. They're cute and they're fun and they're sparkly.

I put a new earring into my. Well, I went and I asked the guy. Cause I never really wear an earring in my second piercing. And I was like, this thing still. This thing's still there. And he gave it a little test. He said yes.

I was gonna say mine's a little sore. I'm not gonna lie.

[Fran]

Yeah.

Maybe because it's just stretching it back up.

Tender though. Like, I like I have sensitive.

I have sensitive ears too.

But they have to keep something in there. Otherwise it'll close up.

It still stays there.

I mean, every couple months I would maybe put an earring in there for like a night out. And then it would bother me. So I took. Would take it out I just kept it still there. So now I have this one locked in.

And, you know, they say, like, oh, you can't swim. Da, da, da, da. And the guy there was like, yeah. Like, don't. You know, within the first month. So I have no plans to swim in the. In the next month. So I'm.

You know, water is not even close to being the temperature I needed to go.

And then after that, he's like, if you do just clean it after. He's like, I've swam with all my salt water.

I thought that. But there's a lot of bacteria in the ocean.

So. And then pools. And he said, just never, ever go under it. Yeah.

No fresh water.

I'm actually really excited because I mentioned how I'm going back to London in July, and, you know, I've been there. This will be the fourth time. So we were like, ooh, what other things can we do? And I have yet to see a show in the West End, and now I'm seeing two.

So my best friend that we're going with, she's obsessed with Matilda, and every time I'm there, I pass the theater that's playing Matilda, and I was like, ooh, let's go see Matilda. And she was like, yeah, so we're doing like a Sunday 2pm show, then gonna have a Sunday roast dinner after, but we're gonna be there a day or two earlier than them. And we were like, hmm. Devil Wears Prada music by Elton John felt like a must do.

I think it got really bad.

[Fran]

I know. I saw that. And so I said I have to go see it for my own.

[Rhea]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I did, honestly. Makes me want to see it. No, that's.

[Fran]

That's what happened. So I looked it up on TikTok. I typed in Devil Wears Prada, and oh, my God, it was getting ripped apart. And we were like, okay, we kind of have to go see it because we need to see it for our own eyes. If it's terrible, it'll still be funny, you know, like, if it's bad, it's still good. So.

[Rhea]

And you may be what? You know, it's. It probably won't last long, so, like, it probably won't be. Have a long run. Right.

[Fran]

I gotta see.

Cause it's not doing well.

So I want to be one of the ones who saw it and got to. Got to talk about it, but so I'm excited for that.

No, we have. We have a reservation for a restaurant, Gymkhana. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's like the top Indian restaurant.

And they opened a spot in New York, right?

Did they Gymkhana? No. Deschum is thinking about opening some spots in New York in 2026.

But Gymkhana is like Michelin star. Yeah, like top, top, top. And it's so, so hard to get a reservation there. Like, really, really hard. And there was one spot open in the entire, like, weekend that we're going on a Monday. And I was like, boom, we got a book.

Last time we were there, we were supposed to go. And that's when Matt got sick and we were like, okay, well, we can't go to a nice dinner when he has food poisoning or whatever it was. Or the stomach virus, whatever. It was. So excited for that. But now we're just. Since we've been there now a couple of times, it's like, really nice to just go and be like, we're like locals, you know, Just. Yeah, the day takes us.

How does that feel?

It's like one of the best ways that my wife and I bond. Like, I just get on board with whatever show she's watching. Like, any Bravo show she's putting on. Not only am I gonna watch, I'm gonna be invested.

[Fran]

And you're dissecting it. When you came on back in September, October, and we did a whole Bravo rundown for, like, hours, our listeners were like, oh, my gosh. We had no idea Roan was this invested. We need more of his thoughts about the show. So now we're here, we're gonna talk all about it.

[Roan]

I break it down like it's sports. Honestly, I watch it just, like, the same. The same fervor that I watch, like the Eagles or the Sixers. I'm intently watching Summer House. I'm intently watching these play by play. Yeah. I mean, I'm obsessed with the replays. And, like, I'll, like, kind of test out my takes on my wife and.

[Fran]

See, I usually agree or disagree.

[Roan]

So sometimes she'll give me the benefit of the doubt. She'll be like, wow, that was a good point. And she might be, like, patting me on the head, like, but sometimes she'll have to, like, kind of hold my hand and, like, explain what's going on.

[Fran]

Yeah. Kind of reel you in a little bit. Sometimes I have the same reaction when Marty's watching and he says something. I'm like, I didn't even think of that. Like, sometimes you get the guy's point of view watching reality show, and you're like, that kind of flew over my head.

[Roan]

Yeah, it's It's. It's interesting because I think I look at it from the guy's point of view, like, from the guys on the show, and I'm, like, curious about them. And I think that Bravo is inherently a little bit more woman centric. Like, it's for a female audience for the most part. But half these shows are guys, and I think a lot of it is framed through the female gaze. And I think sometimes guys will get an unfair shake, but sometimes we're not hard enough on the guy.

[Fran]

Yeah, that is very true.

[Roan]

Which brings us to Jesse Solomon.

[Fran]

Yeah. So we'll get right into Summer House, the Summer House finale.

[Rhea]

Also now you are. We have do have to acknowledge dad of twins.

[Roan]

Yes, yes.

[Rhea]

It's big since the last time you were on, you were coming from the perspective of a. Not a father. Now you are a father. It changes things.

[Roan]

Yes, it changes things. Exactly.

[Fran]

How do you want to raise your boys? You know?

[Roan]

Yeah. And it's like, what, What? Who is the archetype Bravo character that I could point out to my sons and be like, I want you to grow up like him. And I don't think it's anyone Summer.

[Fran]

House, honestly, maybe across any of the shows.

[Roan]

And that's why it was like, I think for a long time it was like Craig was like the guy. When you look at all of the Bravo world, he was like the kind of guy who was the least messy, embarrass himself the least, had the fewest personality traits that you wouldn't want to pass on. But I look at, and I'll ask you guys this. Who in the Bravo, or specifically Summer House, who is the guy that you root for the most? Who is the guy that you're like, okay, I can root for him.

[Fran]

Oh, God. I mean.

[Rhea]

I mean, I. I think I'm rooting for Carl, I guess, right now. Right now, like, I'm rooting for Carl.

[Fran]

Right?

[Rhea]

You're rooting for Carl opening a new business. Yes.

[Fran]

And he's been through a lot of hard things. Early messy Carl, you don't root for that.

[Rhea]

No.

[Fran]

But some of the stuff he's gone through with his life and, you know, the loss of his brother and, you know, becoming sober and the new business mentor and all that. You're rooting for him right now.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Fran]

I want to say I am usually never rooting for Kyle. This season, he was a little bit better, although it just doesn't make sense to me. And we're seeing a little clip. We got a preview for the reunion that he's talking about wanting to, you know, have kids and whatever, but he's also out DJing every night. And Amanda's like, I want to have kids with somebody who's ready to have kids with me. I don't think Kyle. I think Kyle wants to have a family, but doesn't realize, like, he's going to have to not go out every single night and, like, not be DJing till 4 in the morning to, like, raise his kids.

[Rhea]

Yeah, they're.

[Fran]

So maybe I'm rooting for Kyle to change.

[Rhea]

Yeah. I don't know. They're going to, like, hit a. They're going to hit a point, I think, where either Amanda is just like, all right, we're just going to do this, or. Or not, because Kyle's just a workaholic. So Amanda's like, you're still working so much, and that's discouraging her from wanting to start a family. But he's like, I have to work.

[Fran]

Is it work or party, though?

[Roan]

Right.

[Fran]

Because there's a lot of dads work a lot. A lot of moms work a lot.

[Rhea]

Ask him.

[Roan]

He's working, but I think that he's working on.

[Rhea]

If you were to ask him. He's getting paid for these DJ appearances. So he's working.

[Roan]

Oh, he's got to bring home the bacon.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Roan]

But you look at him, like, coming home with WES at like, 4 in the morning, it's almost like you have to shift your timeline. He's, like, around 40 now.

[Rhea]

He's over 40?

[Roan]

Yeah. So you kind of have to shift your timeline.

[Fran]

It's absurd.

[Roan]

I'm a dad now. I've had to shift my timeline. Like, I'm a morning person now. I just had to change all of that. And I think that if they do want to have kids, and I don't know if he's just getting baby fever. Cause Lindsay's pregnant, you know, but it almost seems like the inverse of Craig and. And Paige. Like, Paige is like, I want to work. Paige is like, I want to be on tour. I want to bust my ass. But do you think that. And this might be. This might be spicy. But do you think that there's any element of Paige with her relationship with Craig that, like, if she wanted to, she would.

[Fran]

Yes. I think it just wasn't the right person. And I think in this episode, in the finale, I think it was more open about that where she said when Craig asked her during Thanksgiving, like, oh, do you picture us hosting holidays together? And she was like, yeah. And then she was like, I thought about for a second was, like, actually, no, I don't picture us, you know, having holidays together with our kids or whatever. And I want him to find the love of. Of his life as much as I want to find the love of my life. And, like, it's just not him. And I think that biggest tell was her dad, too.

[Rhea]

She said that her dad called her after the breakup and was like, you're. I didn't even felt, like, realize it, but, like, you're back to being you.

[Fran]

Right.

[Rhea]

You.

[Fran]

You got your personality back.

[Rhea]

You have your personality back.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

Which it was. I mean, which is it. Which is very telling. I think maybe Paige thought she was a little stuck.

[Roan]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

In that relationship of, like, what's gonna happen if, like, we're this Bravo power couple. What's gonna happen if we break up? Or, like, all these things, and then she just kind of had to do it. And it. And obviously it was the right move.

[Fran]

Because it's also like, you know, Paige is skyrocketing in her career, like, absolutely crushing it. Every aspect. Like, it's amazing to watch. I love watching both Paige and Hannah. So it's. I also think it's. The right person won't make Paige feel bad about how successful she is. The right person is going to be like, you could do it all. You can work all day, all night. You can be a mother at the same time, like, you can conquer it all. Whereas Craig was kind of like, you gotta peel it back to do those things.

[Roan]

So I also think that Craig is so beloved by so many people that she was probably apprehensive because she sees other people in the Bravo world get villainized when they break off of a big relationship. But I'm just happy to hear you guys say that. Like, it's. Or even to hear her. I haven't heard it yet, but that she just says that this isn't the person for me, as opposed to being like, I had a tour. Like, you guys do podcasting, you guys have tours. You guys are able to have marriages. It's not like those aren't mutually exclusive things. It's more like being honest and be like, hey, it's just not you and me isn't the answer.

[Fran]

Absolutely. I think sometimes people try to find the right thing to say publicly, where it's like, oh, you try to leave it to an excuse or whatever, but at the end of the day, it's just like, now, that just wasn't your person. And that's. That's. It just wasn't the Right. People for each other, which is why I think they're. They're way better off. Clearly.

[Rhea]

There's no. It's not a coincidence that she started. And she said this, too. It's not a coincidence that she said she started having, like, legit panic attacks before going on stage, on tour. And she was like, I wasn't nervous for the shows.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

She's just, like, other things in. In her life. I think it was just all creeping in all at once, and it was, like, manifesting in other areas of her life. So it's definitely for the best. It was also really interesting because she said that when, you know, they had met up again in New York to, like, talk about the breaking up. And she said that Craig something to. Said something to her along the lines of like, I wish you saw the ring before you did this or something. So he's, like, claiming that he's had this ring for a year. Over a year. Whatever. Kyle and Lindsay were on watch Happens Live after the episode. Both of them were like, I don't think he ever bought a ring. I think he's lying. And Andy was like, well, at the Southern charm reunion, he said he returned the ring. And Lindsay was like, oh, convenient timing.

[Roan]

No one's ever seen the ring.

[Rhea]

And he was like. And, like, Kyle and Lindsay were just like. You know, he. We know Craig. He, like, he. He didn't send that picture to anybody. He didn't show anyone. No one's done and whatever. So I don't know. That's like, a whole nother wrinkle in this. I was like, it is a good. I don't know.

[Fran]

It brings up a good point because, like, think about anybody.

[Rhea]

Like, Craig does say he bought a ring.

[Fran]

If you buy. You buy a ring. When you bought your wife's ring, you probably showed her friends or her mom or somebody, you know, like, you got to get some intel.

[Rhea]

No, also, sometimes you don't. I mean, Joe didn't.

[Roan]

I knew what she. So she, like, sent me a picture of a ring that she wanted, and I, like, looked it up, and it was, like, $80,000. I was like, that does look nice.

[Fran]

You know?

[Roan]

But then I eventually bought a ring that was, like, very similar, great, beautiful ring, but. But that. I like. I literally, like, hid the box in my apartment and, like, didn't show anybody. So maybe.

[Fran]

Maybe. But you say Joe didn't tell me. He at least told your mom.

[Rhea]

No. Yeah.

[Fran]

You know what I mean?

[Roan]

Like, oh, I asked for permission from her dad and everything.

[Rhea]

My grandmother. So, yeah, he did have to get it from her.

[Fran]

Exactly. So you say nobody, but there was somebody. Like, there is always somebody that knows. Whereas, like, for Craig, it's like, nobody.

[Rhea]

Right.

[Fran]

Did he show?

[Rhea]

He didn't show anybody in her family.

[Fran]

Right. Like her parents?

[Rhea]

I don't know.

[Fran]

But we know Paige is very, very close. Yeah. So it is, you know.

[Roan]

Well, what would be the benefit of him saying that? Him. Said. Him Trying to prove that. How serious he was about it.

[Fran]

I don't think it proves anything, though.

[Rhea]

Because I think it's just, like, almost like a.

[Fran]

It's.

[Rhea]

I was so in it.

[Fran]

Yeah. But it's also, like, almost saying, like, I wish you didn't say that before you saw the ring. Like, as if a ring is gonna change whether or not someone wants to be with you. You know what I mean? Like, that shouldn't. I don't think that.

[Rhea]

Guilt trip, maybe.

[Fran]

Yeah. Yeah. Like, I don't think that would change whether or not Paige wants to. To marry him over a ring or.

[Roan]

It'd be crazy if it did. It would, like, be. It would show that her love for him isn't about who he is. It's about what he.

[Fran]

Which is not what he should want. So better off.

[Rhea]

No, they definitely are, I think. It just wasn't meant to be, which is. Which is fine. It did feel like they. Lindsay and Kyle were harsh about him, for sure.

[Fran]

They were. And then Andy mentioned on Watch Happens Live that he believes there's a big feud between Summer House and Southern Tariff.

[Roan]

Like, well, didn't everybody unfollow everybody?

[Rhea]

Yeah, it was like, yeah. Yeah. There wasn't. There was a mass unfollowing, I believe. I think Craig unfollowed everybody. And then I think there was retaliation.

[Roan]

They didn't follow jt, did they? Not.

[Rhea]

Legend. And. And I know Kyle did say. He's like, look, I still talk. I talked to Shep. I talked to Austin. So it's that. But he said that he did reach out to Craig after the breakup, send him a, you know, nice text of you, you know, hope you're okay, whatever. And he didn't. Did not. Did not respond.

[Fran]

The line has been drawn.

[Rhea]

Also, I don't really blame Craig for that. I will say I'm kind of on Craig's side for that because Kyle said so much to say about Craig, and.

[Roan]

He was, like, so hungry for their, like, confrontation this time. He's like, we're gonna do it right now.

[Rhea]

One of them to kind of argue, and he came for him for all the friggin's you know, spritz stuff and everything that he was doing. And it was just like, we're not friends right now. Like, don't. You're like, kyle setting that text message is just to make himself feel better.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

Like, I'd be like, I'm not answering this.

[Fran]

Boom. Check that off the list.

[Rhea]

Yeah, Exactly. Like, oh, thanks so much. You've been so great to me recently. Like, that now you want.

[Fran]

And sometimes you're kind of like, like pissed off anyway.

[Noah]

What?

[Fran]

Kyle's. Kyle's like, I'm here if you need me. And like, yeah, we're not friends. I wouldn't need you. Yeah.

[Roan]

I have my own friends.

[Fran]

Yeah. Right?

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Roan]

Also, as I watch the season, like, you kind of see Paige having these hushed conversations in, like, the bedroom, like, about the situation. So if he feels like he's the last one to find out about his own relationship.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Roan]

He's gonna have an inherent mistrust of everybody that's around. So it's like he's gonna be like, you guys aren't my friends. Like, you weren't coming to me or telling me this. Like, this was all being, like, orchestrated and I was the last one to know. He probably feels a little bit weird seeing that.

[Fran]

Yeah. Although I think he might have been told many times and it just wasn't really. I think there was definitely conversations, but you never know.

[Rhea]

Yeah. I mean, from the standpoint of, like, everyone in the summer house, it seems, felt that things were off. I don't know if he fully realized that.

[Fran]

I think he, you know, sometimes I think Craig just. He was in love and he didn't want it to not, you know, he rose colored glasses. Like, he didn't want to open his.

[Rhea]

Eyes for that future with Paige for sure. And he was going to. He really wanted it. So it is sad because he did. He absolutely, really, really wanted it.

[Fran]

Yeah. But I think for the best, tie a bow on that. And that chapter has ended. It seems like with the reunion, it seems like they're not harping on it anymore because I feel like people are over it or they're kind of like, whatever.

[Rhea]

Yeah, I think so too.

[Fran]

Whereas now we're on to the Jesse and Lexi thing, which I would love your perspective on this because I feel like Jesse, obviously we talked about this, like, huge fuck boy, you know, he really, like, didn't he? It's like he acted like he wanted a relationship, but it's very clear he doesn't want a relationship.

[Roan]

Like, you're grinding with Sierra on camera. Like you're just, like, so ostentatiously being a fuck boy, as you said so eloquently then, like, you. You don't want a relationship. Like, you just want to be like, the man and, like, show your back.

[Fran]

Teeth while your face right now, it's like, actually how he. Yeah.

[Rhea]

Yes.

[Fran]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

Mouth open.

[Roan]

Yeah.

[Rhea]

[Fran]

Always. Yeah.

He's getting killed right now online, and you could tell that it kind of gets to him. And then he kind of, like, flips into, like, this, like, sad boy act that I kind of feel like west has had this entire season. Like, he kind of got, like, the back of his hand smacked at the last reunion, and he's kind of trying to rehab his image through, like, just being like, hey, like, I don't know what to do. Like, all sad. And I think they're both kind of do. Especially at that dinner. He's just like, well, like, if you guys are all going to gang up on me, like, I just. I. I don't think that doesn't make you more likable. I don't think it does. It's not like a winning strategy. But I think that he's so tethered. Jesse seems so tethered to his image of himself and how he thinks he looks that he's not willing to let everybody else, like, be like, hey, this is how you're coming off, like, whether you like it or not. He's like, no. Like, I. I wasn't even on the. Watch what happens live. He's like, no, I'd have to rewatch it because I don't think I was coming off that way. It's like, no, you were coming off poorly. Like, you didn't care about the person that you were in the relationship with. And it's filmed from 12 angles.

[Fran]

Yeah, very, very true.

[Rhea]

It is clear. It's. It's, like, extreme on both sides. Like, Jesse acts poorly and reacts poorly. And then sometimes I'm, like, listening to Lexi, and I'm like, Lexi's so scolding him in such a way that I'm.

[Roan]

Like, okay, she's not making it easy.

[Rhea]

And Paige kind of said it in this last episode, too. Paige was, like, talking to Jesse. She's like, you didn't. You know, you didn't sleep with somebody else? Like, you didn't, like, do this.

[Roan]

He got his toes up.

[Rhea]

It was like, it was, you know, whatever the hell, you know. And obviously Lexi is convinced more happened. And that's fine. When you. When you're. When you have that mindset, you're like, he's lying. You're gonna be stuck in that. And. And I think there's just a bunch of things that rubbed her the wrong way, which is totally fine, but she has made, like, blanket, like, generalizations. You're. You're a liar, you're this, you're that. You know all these things. And she clearly feels that way, and that's fine. And I think she also really thinks that he caused this separation between her and the other girls, which I don't really think he fully did. Like, I. So. But. And I think. I think Lexi has brought up Sierra way more than necessary. I think she tries to make it sound like she wasn't jealous of their friendship, but she absolutely was.

[Fran]

Yeah, I agree with that. And I also, when Jesse was on.

[Rhea]

Our show, for good reason, watching it.

[Fran]

Back, oh, my God. I mean, he's grinding himself, but at.

[Roan]

The same time, like, I know that's.

[Rhea]

Mostly on Jess so much. Yeah.

[Roan]

But. But Sierra didn't have any respect for their relationship or, like, Sierra's doesn't have to.

[Rhea]

Like Sierra. Like, Sierra has no loyalty to Lexi. They don't even really know each other. I think Sierra and Jesse have always had that flirty banter friendship. So was it like, what is Sierra is going to say, oh, you shouldn't do that?

[Fran]

I mean, she could be like, hey, you got a girlfriend, Right? Clean it up.

[Rhea]

Yeah.

[Fran]

The thing with Jesse when he was here, and I wish I would have said this to him, but I thought it after, when I was watching the clips back, was that I asked him if he was ready for a relationship or wanted a relationship, and he had said, like, yes, which kind of I was surprised by because I really don't think he is ready for a relationship. And he said that. Something about how he. He would need it to be with someone who's a very secure person. And I think he's kind of mixing up being a secure person and just, like, actual boundaries in a relationship because you can be the most secure woman in the world. That doesn't mean you're going to want your boyfriend or husband to be acting the way he does. Like, you know, it's about respect rather than being a secure person. So I didn't like how he kind of knocked that down to just somebody being insecure. Lexi did talk about her insecurities on the show. So that is, you know. Yeah, that is something she struggles with. But not every girl out there is going to be just because they're insecure. They're getting mad at you.

[Roan]

No, he also came on.

[Fran]

They just have respect.

[Roan]

He gave like, a signal to her that, like, hey, I want to be in a relationship. If he just like, kind of like.

[Rhea]

When you date girls? Yeah, yeah, just like that. He mentioned it on our show. And then it was brought up to Lexi on Watch what Happens Live. And then she, like, drank, kind of.

Did like a Plead the Fifth, which makes me think that there was. There was Drake at some point.

[Roan]

Yeah, juicy.

[Fran]

Yeah, that is juicy. But yeah, this has gone on now because they're doing press, which makes sense. They're doing press for a reality show. So they're gonna talk about it. But sometimes I mentioned this on the show on Wednesday. I think that, like, sometimes I think there's this, like, scandal level of scrutiny towards cast members a lot of times now that, like, doesn't deserve to get to that level.

[Roan]

Oh, yeah. They're saying he's East Coast.

[Fran]

Yeah. Like, we can call out shitty behavior and like, he clearly wasn't ready for a relationship.

[Roan]

He didn't cheat on his wife.

[Fran]

Yeah. And with her best friend. So it's like, there's levels to it. And I think people take it to this, like, extreme level. Has he helped himself with his interviews? Absolutely not. I mean, people are seeing a side of him that they do not like.

[Roan]

But I also think that those characters are necessary in a Bravo show to make it interesting. I think everybody's like, let's get a girl spin off just in the city. It's like, well, those girls are all friends with each other. They like each other. There'd be no drama. It'd be like Kumbaya. That's not the shows that, like, do well. Like, we want to see the fuck shit.

[Fran]

Like, we need people like Jesse.

[Rhea]

No season. If Jesse and Lexi don't have this drama is the whole. That was the whole everything everyone talks about Even Carl and Lindsay, like, were pretty civil. There was not maybe one or two couple instances. I mean, hysterical final dinner. My first. First anniversary. Freedom anniversary, she was calling it, with Carl sitting at the table is objectively hilarious.

[Fran]

I loved Lindsay this season, but, like.

[Rhea]

But, like, Carl also, like I said, kind of just took it like a champ. Like, you just sat there like, all right, Lindsay. Yeah, because, like, Lindsay's pregnant and it's. It's. She writes this fucking essay, paragraph, essay, MLA format on her Instagram caption, and they're all joking about it. She's laughing. So it's like, even at that point, there's not even as much, like, real juicy drama with them because they're kind of like, ah, crazy. Like, I think kind of crazy.

I think if you gave Jesse and West truth serum, I think that they would both say that deep down they want to date Paige.

[Fran]

Did you guys see the clip of Jesse talking?

[Rhea]

I would definitely think Jesse would say.

That with ordering a Coke.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Because Paige is, like, one of the funniest girls. You know, I. I just love how she, like, orders a regular Coke instead of a diet. When I'm like this. Like, it was just like a perfect view into his head of how he views women, you know, it's like.

Like, first of all, he's like, one of the funniest girls. And like, the. The. Oh, my. Like, why even bring up the regular Coke versus Diet Coke? Like, now you're making girls feel bad for ordering Diet Coke. Like, oh, and it's just so quirky and fun. She was a regular Coke. Like, it's just so.

Yeah, he's, like, saying it for her to hear, and he, like, wants her to know that he thinks she's funny, but he can't think of an example, so he's talking about her drinking.

And let me tell you, I think Paige is seriously one of the funniest people on reality tv. Like, I really. Her confessionals, one liners are genuinely hysterical. So he is right. She is very funny. But the. I just love how she orders, like, a regular Coke. Like, I could just see him dating a girl and that being one of the things he points out about her.

[Roan]

Like, she's so real.

[Fran]

Yeah, I just love how real. Like, you don't care. You don't care about a diet babe. Like, she'll have a cheese crazy.

[Rhea]

Yeah, man.

[Fran]

She'll just, like, pound some ribs, you know, like that. Like, I can see him, like, talking light beer. Yeah, she just loves grabbing wings and a beer.

[Rhea]

Yeah. Yeah, I, I mean, Wes, I think is just like along for the ride, you know, I think he's like, I, I, I joined this show.

[Roan]

I think he was in damage control this whole season. I think he went first season and he was like, he got like, blindsided and then he was like, okay, let me. He was nice as I can.

[Rhea]

I think he'll have redemption.

[Roan]

You think so?

[Rhea]

Yeah, I think he'll just spin around, like, come back around for a minute. Even seemed like towards the end of the season, there was a couple moments where even like Sierra was like, ah, I laughed at that. You know, like, there's just, there's moments he's taking small wins. He definitely had his tail between his legs like the whole season. The preview for the reunion did make me laugh when he was like, I did. I do have notes written down. He had some notes in his jacket pocket. He's like, one of them is just talk.

The thing is, he does have some really funny lines sometimes.

[Rhea]

Yeah, he is funny.

[Fran]

He's got some funny one liners. I'm like, shit. I'm like, Sierra. I'm like, God, I laughed at that. What did you think about the west and Gabby little back and forth at that dinner?

[Roan]

I think that I was curious why Gabby had such an animosity towards Wes that she was like, you can't talk. Like, you don't, you don't talk right now. It's like, I think that and then that kind of caused him to fall into like, Carl was doing sad boy shit, Jesse was doing sad boy shit, and then Wes was doing sad boy shit. Like, all of them were just like, okay, I know.

[Rhea]

And like Paige and Sierra are like, no, you can stand up for your friend. Like, it's okay.

[Roan]

And it seemed like there's a divide then when, like, Paige and Gabby aren't on the same page.

[Rhea]

Gabby confuses me a lot.

[Fran]

Same because it's like she doesn't have her own storylines. It's just about being backing up. Which is nice to have a friend in the house. But yeah, just how west was defending Jesse was how Gabby was defending Lexi. So it was kind of confusing that she was like, she was allowed to talk, but west wasn't allowed to talk.

[Rhea]

It's just like she kind of came in and has taken like this Danielle type role of, like, being like the worst.

[Roan]

Yeah. Like the protective friend, like, gatekeeping friend.

[Rhea]

Yeah. Danielle is just the worst.

[Fran]

The five seconds that she's on the show and she's, she just talks like, she tries to talk cool. She's like. She's like, that's Delulu. I'm like, that is a thing to fucking say.

[Rhea]

She was right, though.

[Fran]

I will say right or wrong. She's just annoying. Like, that's how I feel about her.

[Rhea]

I. I think in that moment, she was very right. Like. Like, her. Her being like, Lindsay, this is probably the end. Like, you're gonna have to grasp that. And Lizzie's like, I don't know. She's like, no, no, no, you're having a baby. Like, this is not. Your life is changing. You're not gonna be doing, like, this show the same way you've always done it.

And she is right. But Danielle saying it, because Danielle's off the show.

Yeah.

If Danielle was still on the show, I'd be like, lindsay, you could still come with your baby on the weekends. It's just a little different tone now because she's off the show.

I think that's like an archetype that, like, people on Bravo shows fall into, where it's like, if you're not gonna make your personal life the drama, then you have to become the protective best friend. And I think that the shows are always better if people make their personal life the drama.

[Fran]

I mean, that's why people go on the shows. They kind of have to. And then they want to step out of it. But it's like, if you're gonna go on a reality show like that, you.

[Roan]

Can'T portray a perfect life like our girl on the Valley.

[Rhea]

Yeah, I don't think they, like, even really have the answers, too. And I don't know if they know what they're gonna do or if they're still working. Working on it for this summer next. Like, Lindsay had one moment on Watch Happens Live, just talking about, like, I don't. I don't know if they were talking about the next season or what they were talking about. And Lindsay was like, yeah, where do we go from here, Andy? Like, I think she's like. She looked at it, and he was like, all right, like, kind of like, I get it. I, like, she's probably fucking knocking down the doors, trying to either find a way for them to film more of, like, her New York life for Summer House or maybe another show. I don't know what.

So, yeah, and like, you were saying, if you get cast on a show and, like, you said, portray this perfect life, if you get cast on one of these shows, they know you gave something in your audition or whatever it was that made them believe, oh, you don't have a Perfect. Like, there's drama. There's some messiness about you that we want to be brought onto the show. So moving on to the Valley, which they are still talking about Danny maybe getting drunk and falling asleep and sneaking.

Tequila in the pantry.

He's sneaking around in the pantry. And now Nia's talking about whether they bring up their marital problems on the show or they keep it behind closed doors. And she talked about how they. Whatever it is, cameras on or off, they keep it behind closed doors, which is just, like, sometimes confusing when you sign up for a reality show in sort of like, what Kyle Richards was doing towards the end of, you know, or the later seasons of Beverly Hills was that people were like, yeah, are.

You in a relationship with this woman?

Or people are wondering. Yes. And we are all wondering because you have put your life in front of us for so long that now it's like, you got to either be off the show or on the show.

[Roan]

It's crazy to give up control. It's probably very scary. Just give up control. Because every show needs a hero and a villain. And then it's like, you're not portraying the villain. Like, if you're the villain on the show, it's because of who you are as a person, which is like, that's pretty damning.

[Rhea]

And so. And I'm bad with names, but she was. She's Miss America.

Or not Miss America. She's like a beauty pageant queen.

Yeah. So she's used to portraying herself as perfect, you know, and it's unfortunately, in a show like this, like, you're not going to be. But I also. I've seen, like, discourse being like, the Valley after this season. Like, you could chalk the Valley. It's like, I don't think so at all. I think the Valley has, like, a lot of meat on the bone. I think it's, like, juicy.

Did you see that? The Valley had low ratings?

Really? And people like it a chance because I think it's a new cast of characters. I think that Jax is brought onto that show as, like, the centerpiece of drama. I think people, like, are going to watch for Jax because he's the kind of explosive personality that, you know some crazy shit's going to happen, and then he's not there for most of the time. And so you're like, well, is there going to be drama? But if you just tune in, there is crazy happening.

Right? The rest of them are crazy.

They're insane. With or without Jax, he's just the craziest and scariest.

Like he's got some real dark.

And I think with Nia too, I think that, that after the first season, a lot of, I'm sure a lot of the fan feedback gets in their heads and matters a lot too, because it's like, I think after the first season a lot of people thought, oh, look at me and Danny, they're adorable family with the little kids. They don't have any problem. They're their only problem is they can't agree on what friggin city they want to live in. And you know, that's, that's their big. That's their big issue. Santa Clarita, wherever the fuck he wants to go to. And, and I think like when you, when you get that feedback of like, oh, it's they're so cute or we love watching them, then they don't want to share any of their problems either. And, or things get too extreme. Like they had that girl's meal and you know, Janet brought up having an ex with drunk and alcohol problems and that really offended Niag. She's like, no one said anything about drugs. Like everyone's labeling Danny an alcoholic or not an alcoholic. Jasmine saying, oh, Danny's an alcoholic. It's like she doesn't think he's an alcoholic. It's just a kind of a, it's a tough label to just like be throwing around when I think Jasmine just straight up doesn't like Danny because of their experience when Danny got too drunk and was handsy and inappropriate. So I think like Jasmine, I think it's fine for Jasmine to just be like, I really don't like him and I'm not going to like him.

[Roan]

If someone grabs your ass, you don't have to give him a second chance.

[Rhea]

Exactly. She keeps bringing it up, but I think everyone's like, okay, we like, you keep bringing it up, but I think it's fine to be like, I don't really want to fucking be around him, period. Okay, fine.

[Fran]

Totally fine to not like him after that. I mean, most people wouldn't. They'd be like, fuck that guy.

[Rhea]

Or, like, any of you have to hang out with him in the same social settings too. I'd be like, ugh, Right? So.

But, yeah, that's like, Nia is opening up about certain things about her past and things that she went through growing up, and the girls almost weren't. Like, some were receptive and almost like some weren't because they felt like it was almost performative maybe. And which I think is kind of unfair, but they really look at her like. Like you said, I think. I think Bernie's just so pissed that she has to share literally everything and.

She'S just getting dragged through the mud.

Yeah.

It, like, automatically sets up this disparity and, like, perception where, like, she's like. Like, she's doing charity to be like, oh, like, you poor girl. It's like, no, we're all living this. Like, you're not.

My husband's in fucking rehab, and I.

Like my kids and shit like that. Like, that's got to be brutal. Everybody has, like, ups and downs in their lives. And so to be on camera and being like, I don't have anything was probably frustrating for me.

And it felt like a little bit. People were saying that Britney was, like, projecting, like, with the, you know, saying Danny was drunk and all that. And it's like, Britney. I mean, I just. I feel bad that she ever ended up in this position, but also she willing. Because people have this discussion where it's like, she willingly chose to continue to be with Jax, but at the same time, you feel for her because you're like. Right, exactly. Because you're like, she got roped into.

[Rhea]

This because another brain master evil Jax is, you know, So I think if you were to look through their history and, like, actually dig into probably the things that he's said to her, it's probably an absolute masterclass in manipulation and also, like, knocking her down. So much for her to think that the best she could ever do is Jax.

And, like, she needs him to have any success in her life.

Yeah. And doing things to her appearance to try to live up to what Jax wanted. I mean, he made her get a boob job, and he made her do all these things, and it's just. He's just terrible.

I mean, did you see this one when Taylor was talking about they, like, had a meal with all of her family and her ex baby daddy, Dakota and Taylor's whole family.

And they're like, why aren't you.

Well, why would you stop sleep? Like, if you didn't sleep with him, maybe this wouldn't have been a problem.

Her dad is. He likes her ex more than he likes her.

Like, her dad's like. Even when they talk to the phone, he's like, get over here, you bastard. Like, he's just trying to. It's just, like, a very weird dynamic.

It was really awesome to watch. I felt so bad for her. I did laugh because I saw Alana, who used to work here, who makes a lot of tiktoks, talking about this show and she was like, you know, I was trying to figure out why I like this show so much. She said, she described it as a coming of age show because she said that they've all been, you know, so, you know, they were in the church for so long and they were so secluded. Yeah.

And they were sheltered and they haven't experienced a lot of things. So, like a lot of the conversations that they're having are conversations that maybe you had with your friends when you were 16 or in high school.

It's also crazy. They're like mid 20s and they just all have like two or three kids.

Right? They all. But they all have kids. But they're all like this, the, the sex talk and. Oh, you're not liking my posts and commenting on my posts.

Commented about how good I look.

Right. And so the way that she phrased, I was like, that's actually so funny and true. It's like they're coming of age. You're seeing them break out of their shells.

Well, it's a, it's like, it is like a high school mean girl click. It's like really mean. It's a high school, absolute high school click. I mean, we're. I might even be high school, might be middle school. We're voting on who's in and or out of the group.

[Roan]

Yeah, they. And they need to do. I mean, they don't have any alcohol to have like the drunken conversation. Be like, all right, girl. Like, I really like, they're just like tight.

Like I thought about that watching it too. I was like, you know what's even crazy? Or most of the time they're sober.

Or they're on ketamine or it's just.

2Pm in the afternoon and all these things are happening. Taylor, I think because Taylor is such an open book and we have seen so much of her life, you know, with the swinging and the arrest and like she has nothing to hide and nothing to lose. So when she's fighting with somebody, she'll go all in because she's like, what are you going to say about me? Like, it's all out there. Whereas the other ones, I think she tries to get the truth out of them. Sort of like what we're talking about with like the Valley. It's like she tries to get the truth out because some of them seem to be like hiding some of their shit.

I don't think a lot of them would straight up say too, like, oh, me and my ex are not together, but, like, he does come over and we. And we sleep together.

Like, everything is their hair colors.

Like, which is funny because they did make a TikTok how like, like, most people are blonde in Utah, but they're. They're brunette.

So they're like, actually, we're different.

Another element of, like, the petty fights, too is like, oh, Demi's hold told Taylor not to go to Jesse's salon because, oh, it's like. But it's. It's really all these very, very, like, petty things. So I guess with Demi too, Right. I think it clearly got to her head last season because she was a fan favorite. Now she's on the second season, not only talking about being a fan favorite, but really wanting to lead the group. Like, she wants to run. I also love how she wants to be. Wants to run mom talk. I also love that, the way they talk about mom talk. They talk about mom talk like it is a business, which. Okay, sure, yes. But they also. I almost feel it's just another word to use for being on the show, the group. Like, it's like, you don't get to be on the show. We're the show. Like, I want to run the show. So it's like I feel like just them saying mob talk is their way of just saying, like, I don't think you deserve to be on our TV show. Like, with Miranda coming in, it's like, oh, are we going to let Miranda back in? Are we going to let Miranda into Mop Talk? Are we going to let Whitney back into Mop Talk? Does Miranda get to come in now? It's like, well, no. They're just deciding, do they get to film the show?

[Fran]

It's crazy. I like Miranda.

I think Miranda is a good asset to the show. She seems to be, like, more level headed. Yeah. If that makes sense. Like, I'm trying to, you know, use the.

I think Whitney's a good Asset to the show too, because you need someone to have some, like, differing opinions. A lot of them do kind of just mimic what the leaders say.

It really is, though, like, look at Layla. Like, she was. She. Layla is petrified to me. She could not say one word with Demi around, like, to support Taylor. She was so absolutely terrified.

At the costume party or whatever. And they're like, get the fuck up.

I had to rewind that part a trillion times because I was like, where did he touch her? And you, like, see him kind of, like, touch her like, as he's walking. Walking. And like, I. Brett didn't even ask any questions, like, how did he. What happened? Like, he just fucking stormed for it. And I mean, I just was confused about the whole thing.

It was a weird. It was a weird comment to make, but, like, it wasn't physical, like, assault. It was like, where's your husband? What does that mean? That. Because that's like implying that he's out cheating or something. No, he's in the bathroom with the other dudes, like, practicing.

Now he's oiling. He's oiling out for his Chippendale performance. You know, the whole thing is absolutely insane. And Jesse saying to the police, like, do you watch Secret Lives? Was just so good. They love stirring the pot. They invite all these people, they know where there's gonna be drama. But Demi, like, really turned out to be a cold blooded killer. I had no clue that she. I think she is kind of that ruthless, it seems also, because you know what? All I needed to know was when they talked about how going into the second season, Demi was okay with Jesse, who is her supposed best friend, being cut from the show so that Demi could get a higher paycheck to do the show.

And she was like, I'm fine with that.

That is, like, crazy.

And Jesse so easily forgave her and was like.

I think it's tough because I can't defend Demi's actions, But at the same time, I do feel really bad for her because I can't imagine how hard it would be to be amongst these group of girls who seemingly seem to be extremely fertile. And she's really struggling. She's opened up that she and Brett have been trying to have a kid for four years. It hasn't happened for them. And, like, that pregnancy roulette that they did was mean. That was me.

So the pregnancy roulette thing, Layla was like, we're all gonna take pregnancy tests, and we're throw them in the bowl.

And see if any of them come out pregnant. And two of them were pregnant but didn't tell anybody yet.

She actually, before they even did the test, said, like, no, guys. Like, this is really triggering for me. Like, she openly said, I'm. I don't like this. This is gonna make me feel really upset. Taking a pregnancy test is the worst thing in the world to me because, like, you know, it's always negative. And then she checked, and two of the tests were positive. And she was like. And somebody said out loud, like, seriously, guys, if it's. You, just say it. Because, like, this is really mean. Now no one's saying it. And the two women that were didn't say it because they were like, well, now it feels like a bad thing right now to say it.

Which I. I couldn't blame them either, because it's a Bad all around. They should have never done it.

No. I was like, I looked up from my phone, I said, they do a.

Was the one who picked up one of the positive tests, and she, like, started sobbing. I felt so bad.

It's also called mom talk. So it's like she has to feel like an outsider. Just, like, by not, like, everybody's a mom.

It's really that. That's. That's where I do feel like there are a lot of maybe, like, deep rooted feelings that she has that are coming out in, like, different ways of her lashing out, like, because of that or for those reasons. I don't. I don't really know. But between that and the. Whatever the hell went on with Marciano and in at Vanderpump Villa, because that was.

He had a crush on Demi.

[Rhea]

He had a crush on Demi. But now the way they ended, it was. There was a rumor that Jesse and Marciano were out of Tom Tom.

I love the crossover.

Love the crossover. Love the crossover that they were out of Tom Tom and they were making out or what? And it was like a whole thing. And that was a rumor. And Jesse's like, that's not true. And he was basically sounding like they had a full blown affair, that it wasn't just kissing. And then this. And then the season ends, and you're.

It's crazy. So now it's like Jesse's being dragged into it. But a lot of people think that Demi, like, organized this whole thing with people off the scent of her and Marciano and that she, like, threw Jesse under the bus, like, for this.

That would be the third bad thing she did to her as a best friend.

Going behind her back to get more money. Number two, telling people to not go to her.

Told people to not go to her best friend's salon because she doesn't do good hair.

Yeah. And now I know. And I honestly was like, you know what?

It seemed like Jen Affleck really also felt like she had something because also, apparently Demi was trying to serve them a cease and desist. They claim that, that, that, to me, it was trying to serve Jen and her husband. Zach. Yeah, Zach. I also really felt bad for her. I know that she got stuck in that drama, but then, man, she seemed like she was in a really bad place. And some of those girls had zero sympathy.

Yeah, I felt bad for that. It seemed like she was really, really struggling. We saw that the camera stopped filming.

Bad place in their relationship. And she's like, oh, and I'm pregnant.

[Fran]

Yeah. And she was struggling, you know, with her mental health. And the cameras even stopped recording with her to give her some space. And the girls were just really not understanding at all. I mean, every single time it was brought up that she wasn't coming to an event, they were like, like, I'm just immediately judging her. I was like, can Whitney somehow say a little bit more than what she's saying?

You know, because I felt like Whitney was being, you know, nice to Jen, not telling the things Jen didn't want her. But at the same time, it's like, well, maybe tell these girls to stop, you know, judging me so harshly without knowing the background of which he looked.

Yeah. She was like, I don't care. Like, I don't. If you're crying, taking a video of yourself crying, Like, I don't care. Like, I don't believe it.

It's not like, like, now we're just a group of friends on reality tv. Like, that is o. We can do that. And Say that, but for, like, the facade of, like, we need each other for TikTok is now not the case.

No, they need each other for this show. And you know what? They put out two seasons in a short amount of time, so I'm excited for them to knock out a third season because I know it'll come quick.

And Stassi, I think, has always just thought that he and his sister, like, had a little bit of a weird relationship. And so Stassi was like, well, you get my name tattooed on you? And he said no. And she was.

Yeah, they went on Celebrity Big Brother UK and while JoJo was on Big Brother, she had a partner and they seemingly broke up after JoJo got home. People thought maybe because of Chris. She said, no, it's platonic. Me and Chris were just friends. Da da da, da da. And now Chris seemed to have hard launch pictures with JoJo on his, his Instagram. And then JoJo started hot hard launching with Chris and everyone's all confused and they. This can't be platonic. This.

This is a launch. It just seems like these two, they must be dating. Like, they can't be messing with us.

Because she was in a relationship when she went on Big Brother. I just don't think people experience, expected all of this outcome. I will say though, it did feel like the outcome when the show ended like this. I'm. I'm not surprised seeing this. The way they left the show, like the way it all went. I would have been more surprised if they just like stopped communication and that was it or it was like a something for the show and whatever. This kind of. Maybe it's an opposite, opposite feeling some people have. I'm like this kind of legitimizes what, what was happening on the show in, in a way that like, because people like ah, are they playing it up for the show and all these things and people thought like I was Chris using JoJo.

I definitely thought Chris was using JoJo. I was in that camp. I was sending you messages like yeah, what the frick, he's using her.

They just celebrated JoJo's 22nd birthday I believe is was recently and they, they have all these pictures of them together and they were traveling all over, they're at Disney, they're doing this she had wrote on her Instagram caption. This year's birthday was more magical than anything. Full of surprises, family time, performing, chilling, laughing, loving, smiling, and good, meaningful cries. Absolutely beautiful. Wouldn't change a single thing a week I'll remember for the rest of my life. And she's, you know, she's cuddled up to Chris and it's just. It's crazy. I do think it's like, I will say if you. You can be. You can be mad at her for potentially, obviously she's in a relationship before. And it's like, oh, that was maybe not the best thing, but I think people were criticizing her for, like, being with Chris and it's just like, well, she can really be with whoever she wants. It's like just it. She doesn't really have to. Like I said, doesn't have to keep herself in a box. However she feels. She feels. And Chris also posted on Instagram two days ago and said his caption was, the previous seven days have been the prettiest. And Jojo commented and happiest. Heart is overflowing. Heart emoji. Interestingly enough, one of the individuals who is encouraging this deal to take place is Scooter, who was at the center of the deal the first time around alongside Big Machine. Oh, yeah.

He explained that if she owns both the old and new recordings of her songs, she stands to make the lion's share publishing royalties from both. She will also have full control over her own catalog and be able to control whether they are licensed for use in commercials, film and TV shows, political rallies, and more. If she could claw back and create a deal structure where she could get the rights to original recordings, she exponentially increases the amount of money she makes. Durant told Page Six she's making money off the publishing still from the original songs, but not as much as from the Taylor's versions, which she owns. So he also noted that when she puts out a re recorded version, consumption also spikes on the original, which is interesting. So I don't know. I could very much see her doing this. I think that it would make sense for her.

In a March 2025 interview with Variety, producer Nina Jacobson opened up about the challenge of casting young Haymitch when the process was very much at zero. Long story short, before the book came out and fans could read it, the crew was not able to start reading actors for fear that any pot lines could leak with the audition calls. That makes sense.
