Fran
What's up, everyone?
Rhiann
It's Chicks in the Office with Rhiann Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. Before we get into the rest of today's show, we got Tell Me Lies recap. We have a great interview with Jenna Johnson and trivia. Chicks in the Office is presented by Microsoft Copilot. Like I said before, before we get into the rest of the show, we need to talk about the thing that is keeping everyone's lives organized right now, and that is Microsoft 365 copilot.
Fran
That's right, because the world moves fast, your workday even faster. Pitching products, drafting reports, analyzing data. Microsoft 365 Copilot is your AI assistant for work built into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps you use, helping you quickly write, analyze, create, and summarize so you can cut through the clutter and clear the path to your best work. So it's a great way to just go into your weekend not worrying about all the little tasks that you need to get done for work. Because Copilot helped you out.
Rhiann
Exactly. And you can do all of that and learn more@Microsoft.com M365 copilot. All right, everyone, how are we feeling today?
Callie
Good.
Fran
I feel like I'm excited for another chill weekend, which is, you know, I'm feeling that Friday energy. Getting to chill Friday energy brought to you by Planet Fitness, as always, which I'm good. I have. I don't really have any solid plans, which is nice because Joe is gonna be away. So it's just a little Fran and Olive weekend.
Rhiann
Nice.
Fran
It'll be nice.
Rhiann
Yeah, that sounds lovely. Right now, I am in deep with Noah's dog Murray's competition to win America's favorite pet.
Fran
Yep.
Rhiann
I don't even know how I got in so deep, but I am in deep so Noah had been sending us this link to vote for Murray in, like, I think he's beat out hundreds of dogs in his plan. Right.
Callie
This has started, like, maybe end of December, early January, I think.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
It's been going on for a. I've been voting for a while.
Rhiann
Yeah. He's been sending the link to vote.
Fran
Yeah.
Callie
You get one free vote a day.
Rhiann
You get one free vote. Or you can donate and get multiple votes.
Jenna Johnson
Yes.
Rhiann
So this past week, Noah sent the link and was like, murray's in the quarterfinals and he's in third. And he's been in.
Callie
This is the first time he's ever not been in first.
Rhiann
Right. So he's been knocked down. So I was like, all right, well, we need to up our donations and up the voting. And so we did, and we've been keeping track of Murray, and he fell and he went to first, but then he fell back down to third. So then last night, I'm writing in a group chat that Noah and I have with other friends, and I'm like, guys, we gotta push Murray back to the top. Like, I'm sorry, this is bullshit. So then they jumped in and they started donating and getting votes. Murray gets pushed up to the top again, Right. We're like, oh, he's back in first. We love to see it. Donating to a good cause, also getting Murray votes. You know, it's a win. Win for.
Jenna Johnson
Yep.
Rhiann
Woke up this morning, Murray's back in third. And I'm like, what the hell is happening here? We need our guy Murray to get to first.
Callie
You don't know how many votes. They don't show you how many votes. They just show you the order. But it's like, you don't know, like, how far behind.
Fran
You don't know how far behind you are. Because here's the thing. It's a back and forth. There's still, what, a lot of days
Callie
left on this for the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals ends in eight days, February
Rhiann
26th at 7pm Pacific Time.
Fran
Yeah. There's a big grand prize locked into this. And you get a magazine cover. Murray will be on the COVID of Modern Dog.
Callie
Yeah. And my mom is going to donate some of the money, obviously, to the new Chance Dog where she fosters.
Rhiann
Where she fosters, exactly. So this is all going to a good cause.
Fran
And Maria's going to be the biggest. Ria's going to be the biggest donor today.
Callie
Limited time. You get two free. Two free votes today.
Rhiann
Listen, I'm on it already. Oh, my goodness.
Fran
I'm on it.
Rhiann
And I'm just like, how does he keep getting knocked down to third?
Callie
I just. Because you said, like, I'm going to turn notifications on. I don't know what you're meaning. It's the first time I'm seeing that. Want to be notified. Murray drops in position, receive text updates.
Rhiann
I literally was like, I'm going to get text updates on this.
Fran
Get text updates. As you should.
Rhiann
I'm so into the competition.
Callie
Had my mom changing the picture that we're using for. Don't worry.
Rhiann
Well, I was like, I don't. I don't think the picture they were using for Murray.
Callie
Yeah.
Fran
Was good enough.
Callie
I think it was.
Rhiann
Showed his. His. Him at his best, you know, because he has so much personality. He's larger than life. He's a big dog. And I was like, I feel like we need more personality from Murray here. And now I think the pictures.
Callie
My mom was, like, trying to find pictures. Sending me, like, losing her mind.
Fran
As you should. I'm trying to find the, like, homepage for it just to check in, which is.
Callie
I could send it, which is weird because America's favepet. Com.
Fran
I know it is, but when you click on the main, like site, there's no. It tells you the details of the competition, but there's no, like vote.
Rhiann
It is hard to navigate. I have Noah send me also.
Callie
Like, yeah, they make. They do make it a little difficult.
Rhiann
Like, well, it's hard to vote, which
Fran
is what I'm saying. If anybody's listening. I was say if you wanted to vote, just help support Murray. I like, if you go to America's Pet favet dot com. I don't even know where you go to vote.
Rhiann
I know, I know. We're have to post the link on, like, I don't even know there's a vote button because we need Murray to win this. We need him to take this shit home.
Callie
Yeah, they do make it hard to find.
Rhiann
Listen, these other dogs, they're cute, okay?
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Don't get me wrong. They're cute.
Fran
I'm not even kidding.
Jenna Johnson
No.
Fran
Where is the vote button? Do you have to log in first to make an account and then vote?
Callie
No, no, no.
Rhiann
Yeah. I haven't had.
Callie
It's really just not having the link. I'll send it to you.
Fran
But that feels like. That feels impossible. How could anybody else vote if they share the link?
Rhiann
I know. Well, we'll share the link and then everyone can click the link to vote.
Fran
Yeah.
Callie
Yeah. So, like, okay, if you want Americasfaithpet.com 2026/murray. And maybe that just takes you there.
Fran
Oh, let's check.
Rhiann
Try that. America's favept.com.
Callie
no, you need to do the whole
Fran
thing, which is 2026. Oh, wait, it's coming up into my. It's coming in. It came up in my history anyway.
Callie
Okay. Americas favepet.com 2026 murray-50dd. That's what it is.
Fran
Murray's got those double Ds, so.
Rhiann
Americasfavepet.com 2026murray50dd.
Fran
Yeah, lowercase D. I'll repeat.
Rhiann
Americasfavepet.com2026murray50dd.
Callie
Yes.
Rhiann
And that will take you to Murray.
Fran
Murray, limited time.
Rhiann
You don't gotta even look at the other dogs to vote for that.
Callie
This will take you right to Murray. And just get your free vote in.
Rhiann
Get your free vote.
Callie
All you have to do is log into your Facebook. Should be easy.
Fran
Yep.
Jenna Johnson
Facebook.
Fran
Also another Facebook these days.
Callie
This is the only time I've used my Facebook in the last 10 years.
Fran
Yeah, same. Yeah, I'm, like, logging back into my Facebook to try and get these votes in.
Callie
Oh, wow. I didn't realize. It's like, today's. Actually. Everything's off. So if you. If you spend 25, you get 50.
Fran
Oh, everything's double. You spend 50, you get 100. I see now, I mean, I'm going
Rhiann
to have to put more in.
Callie
Yeah.
Rhiann
So you're also open to donating? I need to.
Fran
Well, by the time everyone's listening to this, the double will be over.
Rhiann
The double will be over. But for us.
Fran
But for us. And Murray is currently in second place as I'm looking right now.
Callie
Oh, I didn't even read all my mom's, like, description. Like they have.
Rhiann
Oh, I read every dog's description last night. Because, you know, your dog, the picture, I feel like, has to match the description.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
You know, and if you're.
Fran
She's got some good pictures down at the bottom.
Rhiann
If your picture doesn't match the description, then I'm like, well, oh, and everybody.
Callie
Yeah. I didn't even see all the other
Fran
pictures, you know, not that I want to look at the other dogs, but I don't even know how I do that.
Callie
You have to hit or if you hit in where it says currently second. If you hit in the. Oh.
Fran
In the quarterfinals. I see. I see.
Rhiann
I see Enzo.
Fran
Enzo. Enzo's in first.
Callie
Oh, wow. Ford fell to fourth.
Rhiann
Oh, Ford is a handsome dog.
Callie
Although I do like Drac. I don't know if that's how you say it?
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Wow.
Fran
Well, there's some very cute dogs in here.
Rhiann
I am in deep with this.
Callie
This is reminding me of the people's short swords. Please vote.
Rhiann
Please vote.
Fran
So, by the way, this dog's picture is incredible and should make Mouse Mouse Nicole Scallinger. I know that's gotta be AI.
Callie
That's gotta be AI.
Fran
I sent Mouse Nicole. I think that's AI. And this dog skateboarding with a backwards head on.
Rhiann
I almost voted for Mouse Nicole last night. I was like, how's this dog? Got him first.
Callie
Whoa, Whoa. I'm going to be bleeping this. Also, that picture of him. There's like a. It looks like an ad. Like, there's a treat bag in the corner.
Rhiann
The ad does Mouse Nicole knows tricks.
Callie
Honestly, feel bad for Atlas last place.
Fran
She's an amazing retriever.
Rhiann
Her parents said, listen, everyone, vote for Murray. And.
Fran
Yeah, vote for Murray is a vote for the good guy.
Rhiann
Yes, exactly.
Callie
I can't believe this is only the quarterfinal, by the way.
Rhiann
In my head, I'm just like, Enzo is like, this super villain dog going against Murray.
Callie
That's how you have to look at it. This is the. Yeah, this is the top 1%.
Fran
Funny, because Enzo's like. Just because they're such different dogs, that it's so fun. Like, you picture Enzo being carried around like he's on a pillow, and he's just looking down at everybody.
Rhiann
Well, not to come for Enzo too hard, but in Enzo's description, it said that Enzo always has a smile on his face, but in the picture, he's not smiling.
Callie
That's true. He actually looks pretty annoyed, like, you
Rhiann
know what I'm saying? So that's why.
Fran
I mean, like, there's some other pictures of him smiling down.
Rhiann
Okay, I didn't see those. Show them.
Callie
Oh. Oh.
Rhiann
Aw. That is cute.
Fran
Don't look at the cute pictures of Enzo.
Callie
Honestly, it's still.
Rhiann
Don't look at Enzo's photographs. Oh, wow.
Callie
We're getting off track.
Rhiann
Okay, so we're getting off track.
Fran
We're getting off track.
Rhiann
Murray's ever won.
Fran
Yep, yep, yep. Enzo's cute, though. No, no, we. We love. You know, speaking of dog. Just dogs and dog.
Rhiann
You should have got Olive in there. And then Olive and Marie come. Oh, my God. Each other.
Callie
Yeah. Like, they meet in the finals.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Callie
Because I still think there's, like.
Fran
And then we, like, have them meet up in real life for a showdown.
Callie
They share the COVID That's the day.
Rhiann
Oh, that'd be so cool.
Fran
I gotta bring. Can you Ask your mom to, like, invite me over. Maybe I can. We should go to Noah's house.
Rhiann
Yeah, I don't think we. We need an invite.
Fran
I don't think we need an invite, but I think. I'm sure your mom would host us.
Callie
Oh, yeah.
Fran
For, like, a. For like, a little afternoon lunch. I can bring Olive.
Rhiann
We can go to a workout with her.
Fran
Murray and Olive can, like, run around in the backyard.
Callie
My mom would bring Murray back in.
Fran
Yeah. Olive, just, like, any chance I can get to get her out of the city with some dog friends.
Callie
Murray likes little dogs. Murray doesn't. When it's a bigger dog than Murray, he kind of gets weird, which is good.
Fran
Cause Olive likes big dogs. She doesn't like small dogs.
Rhiann
We'll be in the Cape this summer.
Callie
Yeah.
Fran
Oh, good point. We could do that. Yeah, that would be a good plan
Rhiann
too, but I invited myself to both of your houses.
Callie
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
Yep.
Fran
We'd like to go to all. Thank you.
Callie
Squire.
Rhiann
Yeah, we could bring the dogs. Can you bring the dogs there? Dog friendly.
Callie
There's a dog bar outside the Squire where it says dog bar, and it's just all water.
Rhiann
Amazing. It's all his dream, and especially if Murray wins.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Gonna take Murray out on town.
Callie
Honestly, you guys should walk with Murray through Chatham in the town that we live in, because he's, like, a celebrity.
Fran
He's a star.
Rhiann
Wait till you know this cover of Modern Dog.
Fran
Seriously?
Rhiann
Shit.
Fran
Everyone's gonna put the COVID like, in their store windows.
Rhiann
Oh, my God. I could see it already.
Fran
I'm, like, chatting, Home of Modern Dog cover stuff.
Rhiann
I'm becoming, like, Murray's manager.
Callie
Did Murray come back on the podcast, talk about it?
Rhiann
Yeah, if he wins.
Fran
Only if he wins. Only he wins. Which, you know, will be helping for sure.
Callie
But we don't want him to have an Ilia type situation.
Rhiann
No, no, no, no, no. All right.
Fran
No, no, we don't. But I wanted to say that the New York streets have been covered in ice for months now, and it's starting to warm up a little bit, and all the ice is melting. And I don't know what happened to the dog owners in this city, but the carm is out the window.
Rhiann
The.
Fran
And I think it should be the opposite, because in my mind, it's like, okay, your dog. Maybe your dog poops on some. On some dirt kind of blends in. You're. You know, it doesn't pop. You're not like, oh, this is so obvious. Dogs poop on the snow. It's clear as day. It's it's against snow. There's poo and there's poop everywhere. I have noticed that for some reason. I don't know why dog owners in the city have decided that, like, if my dog poops on the snow, I don't have to pick it up.
Rhiann
That's insane. It's disgusting. Even if it is on the dirt, you have to pick it up. You have to pick it up regardless.
Fran
You have to pick it up regardless. I'm just saying I like the fact that it's more in snow.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
Is crazy to me because it's like. It's not hidden. It's out there.
Callie
I feel like you think, like, oh, it's gonna melt, so then it'll just disappear. Dumb.
Rhiann
Which is really dumb.
Fran
Actually does the opposite. You're pooping in ice. So the ice just freezes the poop and the.
Rhiann
Ew. Ew. Ew.
Fran
And it's everywhere now. All the ice is melting. So all the ice is melting and there's just shit everywhere. Everywhere.
Rhiann
That's disgusting.
Fran
When I walk, all of it's like,
Rhiann
you're just dodging it.
Fran
Dodging left and right.
Jenna Johnson
Oh, God.
Fran
The amount, like, it's just everywhere. It's crazy.
Rhiann
That's really despicable.
Fran
I've seen some Instagram posts.
Rhiann
People are not being like, why did
Fran
dog owners just decide that they weren't gonna. They weren't gonna pick up dog poop in the snow?
Rhiann
Yeah. That is not acceptable.
Fran
It is really not acceptable at all. I. I don't. I didn't like that one bit because now I heard there's no snow.
Rhiann
Enzo's owner believes the poop in the snow.
Fran
Damn.
Rhiann
Well, Enzo is one thing we can certainly confirm.
Fran
One thing we can certainly confirm is that Enzo's poops are probably way smaller than Murray's.
Rhiann
You don't know that. You don't know that.
Fran
No, no, no. But yeah. I don't know why people are doing that. It's so gross. It's not ideal, because that and then, like, the garbage that was frozen solid under all the snow is now just coming back up too. So all this ice. The sidewalks are not.
Rhiann
No.
Fran
Are not looking good these days right now.
Rhiann
No.
Fran
Around these parts, just poop and garbage.
Callie
Ew. New York City for you.
Fran
Yeah. Welcome to the.
Rhiann
It's the charm.
Callie
Yeah.
Fran
Shit's been waiting for you. It's just literally everywhere. I don't know what it is.
Callie
Don't you think, like, how you're just used to, like, when I walk into a subway and it just smells like reeks of piss. And I'm like, it doesn't even faze me. I'm like, that smells bad. But it's like, this is just the city.
Rhiann
Yeah. I just feel like it's always been that, like, yeah. You know, like I'm not like, whoa,
Fran
I'm so never smelled good.
Rhiann
So. Yeah, exactly. That's what he's saying.
Callie
Like, yeah, you just get used to it. But then you go to another city and you're like, wait, not every city is like this.
Fran
Yeah, but I wouldn't say I've ever gone to a city and taken their, like, public transportation. Like, this smells amazing.
Callie
Wait till you go to London. Wait, did you ever take that? You still haven't taken the tube?
Rhiann
I.
Callie
Because the tube is like, yeah, spotless. No one talks. It's great.
Fran
Yeah. Well, not here, not, not here, but dog poop.
Rhiann
Dog poop everywhere.
Fran
Quite literally everywhere.
Rhiann
Moving on. Moving on from this gross conversation. Yeah, yeah. We do a great episode today. We got the Tell Me Lies finale recap. The show has come to an end. We have Jenna Johnson on today's episode as well and we have a great game of trivia.
Fran
So let's get into it.
Rhiann

Rhiann
It's officially over, ladies and gentlemen.
Fran
It's done.
Rhiann
The time has come. We must wipe our hands clean of Steven DeMarco and Lucy because Tell Me Lies has officially come to an end, not only just for this season, but as a series as a whole.
Fran
Yep.
Rhiann
They announced that this would be the last. The last season. Megan Oppenheimer said that, you know, this is the way she envisioned it ending, and that's how it's gonna end. And we must discuss the ending of events of this season.
Fran
Yes. I certainly was skeptical going in, being like, how are they gonna wrap up this show in this one episode? And I will say I'm. I'm pretty satisfied with the way they did it. And I've just had to accept that they did terrible things to other people as well. And there's just not gonna be justice for those people. Like, they're just quite literally getting away with murder. And there's just some things that you're just not gonna know, which is okay, I think. It's not like, every storyline wrapped up, and then there was, like, one or two that didn't. Megan, I feel like, with the core group wrapped it up pretty well, where it's like, all those side characters, they're just gonna continue on in whatever shit they're doing. Because this episode really had me on the edge of my seat. When Oliver and Marianne called Bri into that office with her mom, I couldn't believe it. I was shocked. I'm like, marianne's the worst. Both of them.
Rhiann
They're terrible, terrible, terrible people. Absolutely terrible.
Fran
It pains me that there's no consequences to their heinous actions, and they just continue to terrorize young female students.
Rhiann
No, they're awful.
Fran
But it's like, honestly, it made sense to end it in a way where actually, there's no redemption. There's no redemption, there's no consequences. They just continue to be evil. And you're like, well, they're evil confirmed. Evil forever.
Rhiann
I saw Megan talk about how this is a cautionary tale. Like, not every ending is supposed to be a happy ending, because it's really showing sometimes how real life dynamics.
Fran
Sometimes the bad guy wins.
Rhiann
Right. And how sometimes there is no resolution. If someone is just straight up evil. There's no happy ending there. They just continue to be that. And we see that with Marianne and Oliver. We see that with Steven. You know, most importantly and notably, nothing ever happens to Steven, really. I mean, he gets the offer to Yale rescinded.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Thanks to Wrigley. Shout out Wrigley. There, my king. But that's really, like, we don't see anything happen with the Macy stuff. We don't see anything happen with everything else he's ever done. And by the way, he ends up having his ending that he wants, which is to embarrass everybody at the wedding. Which, by the way, when I watch this, I was like, cracking up. I was like, is this meant to be funny? Because I. I really liked it. Like, it was. I was like, this is hilarious what's happening right now? And, you know, they were leaning into it sort of with the cake throwing, and it was sort of cheesy and it wasn't so serious, but I couldn't believe that I was, like, laughing. And then Lucy ends up laughing in the end as a whole, because it's just like this motherfucker gets away with it all.
Fran
I think it was good, too. Cause it just. It was like, now we really all don't have to be friends, you know, it's like they were still holding on to something. All that time between. Like, I still couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that the way they were all talking to each other in their dorm room, the girls that they somehow were still breeze bridesmaids. I'm like, how are you all even still friends? And of course there is, like, Lucy leaving school and all these things that we're just never gonna know that in between time. But the jump to the wedding does, like, perfectly make sense because I think it's everybody's way of having this big meetup where they're all together, but they all kind of wash their hands of each other, where it's just like, this is. This is it. I mean, Pippa. Pippa coming clean to Lucy. And then Lucy being like, I slept with Evan. And Pippa being like, oh, my God. Like, I was like, pippa fucking relax.
Rhiann
Like, Pippa is on her high horse a lot.
Fran
A lot.
Rhiann
I did understand what Pippa was saying in the fact that, like, it is. It is a little different because it, like, is Lucy's best fucking friend and she's doing it to another girl. So I understood her.
Fran
It's strictly supposed to be her best friend, right?
Rhiann
But it's like, girl, you know, don't do it to other girls. So I understood what she was saying there, but Pippa just getting on her high horse about everything ever when she has been doing, you know, wriggling so dirty. You can be mad, totally be mad.
Fran
Like, the whole, like, I don't think I can ever be like, I'm never
Rhiann
going to talk to you.
Fran
I'm never going to Talk to you ever again.
Rhiann
You all have done up. So Pippa was just on her high horse. Yeah. And then for Pippa to not step in when Lucy was expelled at any point, you know, crazy, right? Was insane. I think, honestly, for the best that Lucy was expelled and just, like, take her out of that school, like, get her away. Also, how about Brie being like to Evan, you know, if you slept with Lucy, tell me right now and I can forgive you. But she wouldn't forgive Lucy and got her expelled from school. Like, oh, I'm gonna forgive this man, but I'm not gonna forgive my best friend. Like, just everyone picks and chooses who is right and who is wrong when they are all wrong, just on different levels of it all. Wrigley and Brie, I mean, what I'm gonna take from this is that they end up together.
Fran
And Meghan said that. Yeah, like, she has been interviewed and kind of talked about where she sees all these characters after this point. And she was like, look, I think, you know, I had it written that they lock eyes across the room and they're kind of free of all these people, and it's all over now, and they can kind of start fresh and be together. And she. She was like, I think they're soulmates.
Rhiann
That's beautiful. That makes my heart happy. I thought that Bri and Wrigley were so cute together. And, you know, it's one of those shows that you're rooting for them to fucking cheat on their significant others because the show's so insane. You would never usually root for something like that, obviously. But with this show, you're just like, you know what? These two might as well be together.
Callie
Why were they about to. Why was she about to marry Evans? Like. Like, why?
Rhiann
Because Evan's family. Brie was saying this is her. Her shot at having, like, a normal life. Because Evan's family comes from money and can, like, provide those things for her. So I think that's where that comes from.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
And. But they're not meant to be together, clearly. And they were getting divorced the next day at this point.
Callie
Yeah.
Fran
There she was. Like, I could see them. You know, it's probably a quick annulment, and it's like, what. It's like it never happened.
Callie
Right.
Fran
And Wrigley and Bri can be together. I don't really. I don't know how. I don't know how any of them sit with the things that they've done, like Bri putting that tape out and then continuing to just, like, be friends for however long, bridesmaids, the whole thing, and just be like, I'll never tell her it was me.
Rhiann
Is.
Fran
Is so crazy. I mean, look, in the long run, probably for the best that. That Lucy left that school. But at the same time, it's like, clearly she never forgot about it. And also, Steven made her think she somehow did it herself. Like, Stephen was like, you sure you didn't do it? And, like, Lucy's like, I don't know.
Rhiann
Did I?
Callie
Like, you probably thought she did.
Rhiann
She was in such a state of hallucination. Hallucinations and delusion that she probably thought that she did. But Bri, holding on to that for so long, years and years, making her bridesmaid. I don't know how you could possibly do that. Which makes sense now that Bri was like, I'm the worst person. Yeah, you've ever met. And then on top of that, Stephen getting up there, making the speech, and then Lucy choosing to leave with Stephen once again, that wasn't some master plan by Lucy. Lucy really was getting in that car with Steven again. It's not like she took her bag into the gas station. She got two coffees. I don't think that this was some master plan by Lucy to be like, now I'm gonna get one over on Steven. No. Lucy fell back into the trap of Steven. And then she finally learned, this motherfucker's always gonna win.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
And I think that's what she took from this. And they can all just, like, fuck off and not even be near each other anymore.
Fran
Yeah. What's so crazy to me is I don't know if I'm missing some parts from other seasons, but it feels like Lucy and Steven hadn't seen each other, like, at all at any point in between. So it's like years and years and, like, a pretty good chunk of time later. And yes, also, he. He is so destructive and chaotic that, like, even the way he broke up with what's her face, Lydia, Lydia was just like, I forgot they were engaged first. Like, when she threw the ring at him, I was like, oh, my God. I forgot they were engaged. Like, it's just so crazy for just two seconds of, like, let's cut the crap. Like, you know, I slept with Lucy this morning.
Rhiann
I.
Fran
It's over. Leave, like, whatever. And it's just like, okay, well, that ends that. He's like, we're just together to mess with Lucy. Like, it's crazy.
Rhiann
I Also something that was left out for me, and I'm not sure I missed. It was like, How Lucy and Max end up back together. Yeah. Like, how do Lucy and Matts end up back together? And what happens with Alex? He's not a breeze wedding.
Fran
No. Those are the questions. We'll just never know.
Rhiann
We'll just never know. But I'm like, I think Lucy, she went on to just become like a travel agent. Yeah. And then ends up with Max and then where's Alex?
Fran
Right. I know. You never really know what happens. You never really know what happens there.
Callie
And
Fran
yeah, there's. And even with like Steven, it's like, oh, he doesn't go to Yale. Which the cut to Wrigley's face walking down the hallway after, he was like, his acceptance was rescinded.
Rhiann
Just fantastic.
Fran
Just really great tv. But clearly him not going to Yale, he's still fine. You know, it's like he's still living his life. I mean, he's driving a nice ass car. So clearly that didn't hurt him that much.
Rhiann
I was happy that it seemed like Wrigley got sort of a happy ending here if he ends up with Brie. Because I saw Megan Oppenheimer talk about this too, where she said that she saw an interview that Spencer did. Spencer did. About Wrigley's character and how it was just like it's written in the stars for him basically to never succeed. And like, everything's gonna be bad for her.
Callie
Right.
Fran
It was like even he was like, I don't know how we could even move on from this. Like, I don't know how he could redeem himself because we already know from the jumps that he's still down bad.
Rhiann
Right. And so she sort of flipped it around and wrote it in for Wrigley to have sort of a win here.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
And quite the opposite for Lucy. She talked about how people had been calling for, you know, Lucy's punishment for three seasons. And so that's what she did, is that she punished Lucy because the audience was like, we need to punish Lucy.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
And now when we see Lucy get punished, we're like, what the fuck?
Fran
Yeah. Yeah.
Rhiann
So I. And I think that it goes to show, like. Like her saying it's a cautionary tale. Like, people like Steven exist in the world and unfortunately get away with it and they continue to be these horrible people and nothing ever comes from it. And that's sort of the ending of this show. It's like, yep, he's gonna continue to do this and there's no happy ending here for them.
Fran
Yeah, definitely. And it felt like I was trying to find the quote of her saying it too, where she was like, she has always felt like she's kept Lucy a fairly redeemable character. Like, it's. I felt like in her mind, Lucy is doing. She's making the wrong choices, but it's not with ill intent.
Callie
Mm.
Fran
Which is why it's like, okay, you just. You just get her. You just get her out of there.
Rhiann
Like, most of the time, I feel like even though when Lucy makes these terrible decisions, I end up feeling bad for her.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Cause I'm like, her headspace is just all clouded by this horrible person that Steven is.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
And so you end up feeling bad for her. But I thought that the ending was kind of perfectly wrapped up, and if they continued it, they would be opening up even more storylines and we'd have more unanswered questions where sometimes you just have to be okay with some of the questions not being answered and leave it at that. Because that is life sometimes, huh?
Fran
Yeah, exactly. She had said it felt like the perfect ending to me because it felt inevitable. Like, talking about Lucy and Steven, one of the themes of the season was inevitability and the consequences of these actions during this time of your life, where you think nothing is that permanent, nothing is that serious, and then actually finding out that it is, the consequences can really matter. I really wanted to show serious stakes of what happened for Lucy and making these decisions around Steven, because I think it is a little bit of a cautionary tale. Like what? Like what you were saying. And Grace is also quoted in this, too, that she was like, I really do hope it's her last wrong choice. Just saying, like, she. She said, I think she needed that final confirmation of who this guy is. She was like, how long had it been? Six years since they saw each other. But it wasn't a real end of the cycle. It wasn't her doing. So she's clearly been thinking about him still consuming her mind. She's always subconsciously looking for a sliver of an opening to go back to him. And she did, and she got the confirmation that she needed. That's why I love that she laughs at the end because you think she might cry. And it's almost like, oh, my God, I say it all perfectly now.
Rhiann
Yeah, I liked that a lot.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Yeah, I thought. I thought it was a great ending. Yeah, I'm satisfied.
Fran
Yeah, I am, too. I definitely am, too, because you just. It needed to blow up. And I liked that. I liked that Evan got a swift kick in the dick, like, he deserved that. And I'm Happy for Pippa and Diana, too. As much as, you know, Pippa was frustrating at times. Clearly her and Diana have made it work all these years. I liked kind of the little hint that Diana did go to Yale and obviously loved it. She's like, oh, she's got all the Yale memorabilia and everything, so it's like she got to do what she wanted, which is great. Cause then it's like, oh, once again, Wrigley. That act from Wrigley not only fucked over Steven, but it was such a huge help, probably for Pippa and Diana's relationship, because she didn't leave to go to the west coast and be super far away. And they were probably able to continue seeing each other or rekindling or whatever it is that got them back together. Because she was only at Yale.
Rhiann
Yeah, exactly. And then also still being able to keep that friendship with Wrigley as well. Yeah, I thought was nice, man, though,
Fran
did Wrigley not need that hair at the wedding? You know why they do that to him like that?
Rhiann
I think that was a wig.
Fran
It had to be a wig.
Rhiann
They're calling him wiggly.
Fran
Yeah, it was a wig. It was 100% a wig. It was really bad. It's just so drastic. Yeah, it was. So they were trying to be like, oh, time jump. But, like, he looks older with the short hair.
Rhiann
Much better. Oh, my gosh. Like, you know how they gave Steven that haircut at the wedding? Yeah. They should have just done the same thing for Riggs.
Callie
It's also only six years. Like, a picture from. Of me six years ago. I looked the exact same like. Like, you didn't need to.
Rhiann
Like, I don't. So. So it could be true for some people.
Fran
Well, I feel like they kind of did it to. They really only did it to Wrigley, though. Like, some of the girls maybe had a little bit of different haircuts, but they didn't, like, drastically change.
Rhiann
Well, his hair was the drastic.
Fran
Yeah, but, like, it was a drastic change. It's like, he probably didn't need a wig.
Rhiann
No, no. They just needed to give him a haircut like they did with Steven.
Fran
Yeah, yeah.
Rhiann
You know.
Fran
Yes.
Callie
Whatever happened there, Wrigley's face when Steven started making that speech was so funny.
Fran
Yeah.
Callie
When they. Did you already say that.
Fran
No, no, no, no, wait. I mean, it was just like. I think they all were kind of like, holy shit, it's all happening.
Callie
But he looked, like, so happy about it because he's like, oh, good.
Rhiann
Like, oh, I was.
Fran
Well, they' Evan's screaming at him and he's just looking at Bri like, yeah, love you.
Rhiann
That was the worst part of it was that, like, I didn't want to be smiling and laughing at Steven doing this, but I was like, I was like, I am eating this up and I hate that because, you know, it
Fran
was, it was satisfaction for the viewer to be like, finally the truth is
Rhiann
out in the open.
Fran
Somebody said it all.
Callie
It did feel like kind of a light hearted, funny ending to a show that seemed really serious and like dark for a lot of the time. Like, if that makes sense. Yeah, like, it was funny.
Rhiann
Like, but I was okay.
Fran
I was okay with that. And I find it to be like, more hopeful. Like, I find it to be like they didn't end it in a super dark, depressing way. It was like, yeah, some of these relations, like, are ending. Some are good, some are in a happier place. And like, Lucy's finally learns her lesson and can be like, like, got me again.
Callie
Do you think she learned her lesson or if she sees him again, she's fallen.
Fran
No, I think she did.
Callie
I hope.
Fran
I would like, I would like to think she did. And I hope that's what I will tell myself. Yeah.
Rhiann
I hope Lucy gets into some therapy after this.
Fran
Yeah. Megan Oppiner also said she thinks that Lucy, like, never sees these people ever again. She was like, in her mind, Lucy, like runs off and literally never sees any. Any of these people ever again. I was like, you know what? Good that.
Rhiann
Right.
Fran
Is probably a good thing too.
Rhiann
And I think it's. It was fine that it ended in a light hearted, like, sort of way with that because it shows that you can go through like these really dark times like they all had gone through in college and then they are able to kind of move on from that as well or hopefully move on because we don't know what happens after this. But it's hopeful.
Fran
Yeah, definitely. So all in all, a good, solid finale.
Callie
And
Fran
sure, like, I was thinking, like, sure they could make more, but I like that they're ending it at 3 sometimes. So many shows overdo it too many seasons starts to get a little ridiculous. It feels a little forced. Megan finishing it where she wanted to and be like, no, this is really. This is really it, I think is always the right move where you sort of go out on top and it's
Rhiann
often the fourth season where things get unraveled. We notice in shows. And on top of that, I love that it's like not just like a money grab.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Because they could have made A fourth season because of how high the ratings are. But she was like, no, this is. I'm looking at this as the ending,
Callie
which, if you could have a spin off for one character, who would you want it to be?
Rhiann
I would like to just see more of Brie and Wrigley, but I don't know how interesting that would be.
Callie
I agree with how much drama there.
Rhiann
Yeah. I'm just. I'm just like, aw. They were.
Fran
To be honest, none of them are, like, worthy of. They need each other.
Rhiann
They do. Right. Because you're not just gonna have one about Steven or one about Lucy. I mean, I could see one about Lucy if she just has a totally different life would be interesting. But, yeah, you know what? I'm happy with this for now and I think we can kind of like wrap the bow on it and we don't need to be pushing for more spinoffs or anything right now. Agreed. Jenna Johnson
Wow.
Rhiann
Thank you so much for joining us.
Jenna Johnson
Thanks for that intro.
Fran
Of course. Hit all the big stuff.
Jenna Johnson
You deserve it.
Rhiann
And cover model.
Jenna Johnson
Oh, work. Yes. Thank you. Thank you.
Fran
We're so excited to have you in the studio. We've been trying to get you on the show for a while.
Rhiann
Thank you.
Jenna Johnson
I know you guys. I'm so happy this is happening.
Fran
One of the busiest people.
Rhiann
All of you guys. As you should be.
Fran
Truly everyone is but booked and busy
Rhiann
as you should be.
Fran
Thank you.
Jenna Johnson
I'm trying to seize the moment but yes, I'm very excited to be here.
Fran
Good. We're pumped. We were just chatting about the show because we went to go see Dancing Stars Live this past Sunday, which we had such a blast. And the show, so much fun. But you guys, you know, it's not like a lot of breaks. You guys are night after night after night after night.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah.
Fran
So how, like, how do you feel? How far along are you guys right now in the, in the tour? You're in the thick of it.
Jenna Johnson
We are. Like, I think we just decided that we are in our 20s of shows and we're doing 97.
Rhiann
Oh.
Fran
So we're in the beginning stages, not even the middle.
Rhiann
It's the beginning.
Callie
Yeah.
Rhiann
That's insane.
Jenna Johnson
But. And you know, yes, it's like we're doing a show every night, but the show itself is pretty physical. Like, it's non stop for us. I think I have one change that's like 12 seconds. But I love it. I love feeling. I love being an artist, first of all, but I love feeling like an athlete.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
There's like no better feeling than having your. Maybe I'm psychotic, I don't know. But like having a full body exhaustion and going to bed that night and being like, I just gave everything I could and that feels so fulfilling.
Rhiann
Yeah. And we see it on stage. You are absolutely mesmerizing. To watch, like, it is so incredible. Not just to watch on tv, but to watch live in person is a whole other experience. I mean, you guys really give it your all and you can tell that you're totally in your element while you're on stage. You mentioned the quick changing. Like, you have maybe 12 seconds. Yeah. What happens if you don't get changed that fast? Like, do you miss the beat? Like, how does that happen? Because you guys seem to just do it every single time without a beat miss.
Jenna Johnson
So we're so lucky to have like the best wardrobe team ever. And they are just professional at these quick changes. But actually, I think it was last week. I have a dance with Val where it's on camera and the camera starts on me and I can't miss that beat. And my corset, the zipper broke.
Callie
Oh.
Jenna Johnson
So my little titties were held in by a hook and I. And it's also my duet. I can't not go out there and I start the piece. And so I was like, just do
Fran
the hook and I.
Jenna Johnson
She did it. And then the whole rest of the dance, my. The back of my corset was open and I'm like trying to whisper to Bella, I'm like, my top is broken. Like, don't pull it or else we're screwing.
Rhiann
Yeah, you're like, there were kids in the audience. Yes.
Jenna Johnson
But again, it's kind of makes it exciting because that's just what makes, like, a professional, is the show must go on. And so it keeps you on your toes if, like, little things like that happen. But it's not ideal. Obviously, you want to look great.
Rhiann
By the way, that dance, beautiful dance that you and Valdu like, is absolutely stunning. Jaw dropping.
Fran
The costumes are so much fun. I'm wondering, like, what's like, creatively when the. When the tour is being formed and everyone. You're organizing all those things, like, what. What's everyone's role in kind of picking moments or choreography or anything like that?
Jenna Johnson
Yeah, well, we have an incredible director, Mandy Moore, and she's known all of us for years. And so she knows a just like, what our vibe is, what our style is. Also, I think something that's important for her and us. We're doing these dances 97 times. Like, what's a show that you're gonna be proud to do and that you're not gonna be over in a week?
Rhiann
Right.
Jenna Johnson
You know, and so, like, even my dance with Val, she sat down with us and she was like, guys, I've seen you dance a hundred times together. I don't want to see you do just another paso or cha cha. That doesn't mean anything. She was like, I really want you to think about what you want to do this tour. And we. I loved that because it really pushed us. We decided we wanted to make, like, a mini movie on stage and play with camera. And we do have this live camera element. And so she kind of, like created this whole movie for us, and it was just so inspiring to be part of that. So I would say, like, she determines the show and the songs, and we can bring some ideas to her for sure. Like, Val and Danny knew that they wanted to do, like a Brooklyn themed, like, something together. You know, they never really get a dance together. And so that's such a special, special moment for them. And then when it comes to costumes, we have the same costume. Our wardrobe department from the show works on the tour. And so again, she knows our body, she knows what we like. And also, you're wearing this piece for four months. Like, you need to feel good, you want to feel hot, you know, So I think it's just a comfort thing, but something that's going to keep you inspired for four months, because it's a long one.
Fran
The showgirl, Copacabana. Like, I was like, that's incredible. Oh, my God. I was just. I don't know when I would ever in my life. Maybe Halloween.
Rhiann
Yeah, that's true.
Fran
Something like that. But the whole time, I'm like, God, that. What a fun costume we got to put on.
Rhiann
So fun. And it really shows your guys creativity and how talented of artists you really are. Like, you and Val saying you want it to feel like a movie up there. And it did feel that way, because when the camera starts on you, all of a sudden you're just locked into your face on the stage and you're brought through that, and it's just incredible. And, like, you mentioned, like, Val and Daniella dancing together is so fun. And the way that you all can have so much chemistry with each other, I'm amazed by every single time I see it happen and just going off of that.
Jenna Johnson
I think it's so fun for our audiences to see because we are always paired with a celebrity partner, and we create magic with them and that chemistry and that camaraderie, but you never really get to see us dance with each other, and that's what we're really good at. And so I love that the tour celebrates the pros. And I think of all the tours, especially this one, they have pushed us so hard, and they really want us to feel like stars. Like, that feels stupid to say, but we can feel it.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
And, like, even with the audience's response and support. But, yeah, it is so much fun for me to dance with Brandon. Like, I don't get to dance with him all year long, and I've known him since we were 8, and so to be able to, like, do a beautiful, contemporary, emotional piece with him, it's such a treat to do. I never get a dance with Pasha, and we get to do an Argentine tango this year. Like, it's just. It's so fun to dance with elite dancers as well. You know what I mean?
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
And I love that everyone's the best of the best.
Rhiann
Right? And I love that you bring up the point where, like, you really feel like a star, because although the show is called Dancing with the stars, you guys are stars yourselves. Like, you know what I mean? Like, yes, you're a pro, but you're also a star.
Jenna Johnson
I think for a couple of seasons, we were the supporting characters, and that's ultimately our job. Like, you know, we have a purpose when we are in season, and it's to take care of our celebrity and give them the best experience possible. And we're also competitive, but it's amazing to see. And maybe it's the shift of social media and us being able to create our own little reality shows behind the scenes during the season. But it's so interesting to see the love and genuine, like, interest fans have of us now where, like, even this season, I feel like our. The pro's engagement was, like, just as popping as some of our celebrities that we had.
Rhiann
Yeah. I mean, people are obsessed with you guys, as we all are. And, you know, everyone has always been interested in your guys lives because who's married to who, who's dated who in the past, who grew up together. Knowing somebody who's 8 years old, people
Fran
are just going to realize, though, that that was the case. Like for those who have been watching the show forever, you're like, oh, yeah, we know all this about them, but these newer. This newest audience, they're like, wait, what? They dated?
Jenna Johnson
They're married.
Rhiann
It's so funny seeing everybody connect the dots online. And now there's even more of a microscope on all of you guys. What is that feeling like? Because not only, you know, there's always been a microscope on your professional life and dancing, but now it's personal as well. Even, you know, when the show ends, the season's over. All throughout the year, I guess it's
Jenna Johnson
a little different for me because it's always kind of been that way for me because my relationship has just been public for a while. So I feel like now some of the other pros are experiencing what I've felt for a while where everyone has a say on everything and it's overwhelming. And Ezra and I were just talking about this, like, yeah, it's wild that there's this expectation from us to, like, have us at such a close reach, you know, and for people to have a say. It's not just about your choreography now or your dance or whether they, like, your partnership or not. It's like now everything, your facial expressions
Rhiann
on how you react to what the judges are saying about another couple, like, everything is under a microscope. And sometimes I feel like that must be hard because you. You must be like, listen, I just finished my dance. I'm tired. Every. You're waking up so early in the morning to get ready, and sometimes anybody could just like, space out thinking about something, but now they're looking at every single reaction everybody has. Well, everything.
Jenna Johnson
But also, it's not just on camera. It's now. Fans have videos of us in the skybox, in a commercial Break when we just are usually, like, off or just, you know, whatever it is. And that's.
Bri
Yes.
Jenna Johnson
So, yeah, it's interesting, but I feel like, again, I kind of been under more of a microscope for so long, so I feel like I have a little bit more experience with it.
Rhiann
Like, you said you talked to Ezra about it. Are people asking you for advice? Like, okay, Jenna, how do you deal with all of this?
Jenna Johnson
Yes, again, because I think it is. It's usually just been so professional about, like, whether they liked your dance or not, but it is now so much more in depth with this relationship online and social media so integrated into our world and into the show, honestly, as it needs to be. But, like, yeah, even this December, like, I just wanted to turn off a little bit, and I had such anxiety that I wasn't posting, and that's never been part of my life. Like, I've never had this, like, FOMO of, oh, man, I'm not sharing. I'm not sharing. People are asking me, why am I not posting? Why am I not posting? Like, I've never had that anxiety before. And that was a lot. Like, I don't always want to be sharing everything. I love privacy. Like, I'm down to be vulnerable in an open book. But, like, this expectation that I need to be sharing daily, weekly, like, that's just not sustainable.
Fran
The show has made you guys, like, like, social media stars. And they expect. I think people expect the same amount. Yes. When the show's not on. When it is, and you're like, well, when the show's on, you're posting all the time. Because it's now kind of feels like part of the job. It's like you got to be sharing the behind the scenes. And then when the show's not on, it's like, oh, I guess, am I still supposed to be doing all the same? But I want to know, because you guys have taken a little bit of a break, why you and Val wanted to go back to do tour.
Jenna Johnson
Oh, yes. I think for a while, you know, like, I was pregnant, so that wasn't an option for us to do tour. I then was like postpartum, and we did a month of tour two years ago when my son had just turned one, because that felt like that was sustainable enough. But both of us are still performers and we really love to dance. And also, like, last year when I won with Joey, I came out for about four weeks sporadically throughout the tour, but I wasn't able to take my son with me, and that was really, really hard. Like, I didn't want to do that anymore. So when this tour came up, we didn't really know it was an option for us to do the whole thing as a family because we'd never expressed, like, we're down. If you will accommodate us, the three of us will go on the road for four months.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
So I think we just had to have like, a really honest conversation with the tour, and they were really excited by the idea of it. And. But we kind of had, like, terms, you know, like, it is package and we are bringing somebody else because we have need a nanny to go with us too. Like, that's a lot to ask.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
And they accommodated everything. And I think it was also, you know, I think Val knew that he was going to have an absolutely epic season with Alex. And I think because I felt that support last year when I was able to tour with Joey and, like, meet the fans that supported us, I know that that was important for him as well, to be able to, like, see the fans face to face and, like, thank them, because it is wild that these strangers show up for you week after week and, like, support you during a really intense time of your life. And so, yeah, I'm so happy that both of us get to be on the road touring the whole time. It's been five years since we've done a whole Dancing with the Stars tour, so it's. It's pretty amazing. And the fact that we get to do it with our son, he gets. He watches the show every night is nuts.
Fran
Did getting. Did getting to watch how Danielle and Pasha did it help you guys at all? Because I know that they've had their daughter with them as well, for sure.
Jenna Johnson
I think that made it feel more accessible for us. And, like, oh, it is realistic. It's hard.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
You know, like, we're finishing. We're going to bed at 2am every day, and then my son's up. But, you know, he still needs us to be mommy and daddy, so. But I think watching them really was like, okay, there is. Is a blueprint for this. It's. It can work, right? And then also, I think that was something that was really exciting for us is my son is in school, and we didn't want to take him out of those social experiences with kids. So knowing that there was going to be another toddler on the road, and they have the sweetest relationship.
Fran
They're so cute.
Rhiann
They're so cute.
Jenna Johnson
It's insane.
Fran
Giving her a little kiss and she was like,
Rhiann
so sweet.
Fran
It was so cute.
Jenna Johnson
I Think all of the stars really aligned for us and just it was like an easy yes, let's do this.
Rhiann
What is life like on the road? Like are you guys traveling in the buses?
Jenna Johnson
Yeah.
Rhiann
Every single day? Yeah. Can you take us through that? Every time you guys talk about it, I'm like, there is no possible way. They're all on these buses every day. Are they?
Jenna Johnson
Yes, it is a bus tour, you know, and it's very different than like an artist tour where you're doing two days on, four days off or three days on. No, we are going six days on and we only have one day off a week. And we could be doing six or seven shows a week because usually we have like a matinee show like we did this past Sunday. But yeah, you basically wake up on a bus. You sleep in bunks. We have like a little back room for our family, but honestly the bunks are more comfortable because it's like a little coffin. It's so dark, rattles you to sleep. You wake up, you walk straight into a venue. So you're not going to a hotel. You wake up at the venue and in the freezing snow you're getting your suitcases off the bus if you need to, dragging them into the venue, set up shop, brush your teeth, shower, do your little routine, whatever you can fit in. So that's like going to like a coffee shop in the new city, go to the gym, do whatever you need to, do some work stuff. And then honestly the girls have to start getting ready by like 3pm because we do meet and greets every day around 5. You do a meet and greet for an hour and a half and then you have about 30 minutes of dinner going straight into warm up. And then from warm up we have about 30 minutes to quickly put on some tan, do our last minute touch ups and then we're on stage and we do a two hour show every night. You get off the stage, you shower in venues. Sometimes they're locker rooms, sometimes they're scary little bathrooms. You never know. That's where you do your little nighttime routine. Put on your PJs, bundle up, drag your suitcases, put them on the bus and go to sleep.
Rhiann
Huge props to you guys, honestly, huge props.
Jenna Johnson
The day in the life and you
Rhiann
guys are out there looking absolutely fucking drop dead gorgeous every single day and night. So it's just so impressive.
Jenna Johnson
I mean I'm like, don't look at me too close today. It's like giving a little crusty.
Rhiann
No, no, I'm mesmerized. By how you look. Like you just look absolutely beautiful.
Fran
And it's crazy because I just feel like people go on tour now, and it's like nobody really does the bus thing that much anymore.
Rhiann
And you know what? Is it really fun? Like, this is what I imagine it's like. Because, honestly, I would, like, love to be touring on a bus. Come sleep over. No, literally, like, is it, like, really fun at first, right? Like, everyone's excited. Like, it's just starting, and then midway through, you're like, fuck, we're still on this bus for sure. And then at the end, you're like, oh, no, I'm gonna miss the bus.
Jenna Johnson
That's exactly.
Rhiann
This is what I imagine. It's like. That's the flow. First it's like, sleepover, and then.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah.
Fran
Which is why it's also funny because I've seen Ezra talk about it, too, and it's like he cracks me up because he's like, yeah, you know, it's fun. But then it's all like, they're all with their families. Like, they're. Most are married relationships. There's kids. Like, you're just like, all right, let me get my bunk.
Rhiann
Yeah. I love the pairing that Ezra and Hailey have right now because they are. They dance together just magically. And they're both so good. And they were, like, a huge highlight of the show for me yesterday, both of them. I was like, they're incredible.
Fran
They are.
Jenna Johnson
It's fun because we actually. Our bus is that group, so it's me, Val Rome, or nanny, and then it's Haley and Ezra, and it's just great vibes, obviously. I feel very protective of Hailey being my niece, and I just want to, like. Like, I didn't have anybody showing me the ropes when I was 19 joining the show, and I just want to be able to, like, show her the ropes and help her guide her in a smooth transition into the craziness of this. But then Ezra I've also known since he was, like, 10. Yeah. And so it just feels like family traveling together. I love having them on our bus.
Rhiann
It is so funny how you guys have known each other since you were young.
Fran
The dance community is so.
Jenna Johnson
She's a small one, and it's like, also, four of us are from Utah together. Like, we're taking over.
Rhiann
I love it. I love hearing all about the behind the scenes. Like, you even saying you've known Ezra. Like, I think this is why we become attached and want to know more about you guys.
Jenna Johnson
No, it is special.
Fran
What are you. What have you been thinking about. I know you kind of joked that you guys already kind of do your own, like, behind the scenes stuff. Yeah. But the fans want, like, a reality show.
Jenna Johnson
I'm down.
Rhiann
I thought that's what we were getting with the big announcement, which we're really excited for the dancing stars. We'll talk about that. But, yeah, reality show.
Fran
You know, reality show.
Jenna Johnson
It's funny because I've said for years that there should be a reality show about either the behind the scenes of the tour. Us on a bus.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
Like, that is interesting. So interesting, because it's so unique that I have spent more time with these people than my own family. You know, like, I don't see my siblings or my parents as much as I have seen these people sleeping in a bunk six inches away from me. But also, too, I think. I think the fans would love it. And the tour has been doing a great job of putting out these, like, mini little episodes. We did film a lot of the making of. Of this tour when we were in tech, and we've kind of just been like, dropping little episodes here and there. And I think the response has been so encouraging. I'm like, guys, let's get on this.
Rhiann
We need a documentary.
Jenna Johnson
Yes.
Rhiann
Yeah, we need the whole thing. Because it really is a testament to how hard you guys work, though, really. Because you guys are getting on that bus. You don't get. You know, you don't give a. You're going to the showers that are maybe in a small bathroom. Is anybody out there being like, no, I need a first class ticket to here, and I need to be put up at the Ritz, and I'm not staying in the bus.
Jenna Johnson
That's what I love.
Rhiann
Like, you go like, no, this is dance life. Like, this is what we're doing.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
And then, like, add an element of having a toddler on the road as well. Like, he's also doing this. He's also freaking showering in venues.
Rhiann
Like, what a cool thing that he gets to grow up and talk about. Like, it's awesome.
Fran
It is. That is so much fun. I know. I feel like a reality show is just. Just everybody's hoping for it. And now I think we're probably gonna get something about a new pro, which, yeah. Will be really exciting.
Jenna Johnson
I'm interested. I've heard all the. All the tea, the rumors. I'm like, work.
Fran
Yeah, right. See what happens. We all have love languages, and if you have a dog, you know they have one too. Some dogs are all about quality time. Some love physical touch. But most dogs, their love language is definitely food. Celebrate the one you love the most by giving them the best, highest quality ingredients with Ollie. And yes, it's the kind of meals dogs actually get excited about. It's real fresh food that they'll love and devour. Which is the best way to show them love every day. Because if they're giving you everything, the least we can do is make dinner really delicious. It's human grade recipes backed by vet nutritionists and crafted with culinary experts. And they have tailored meal plans to meet your dog's specific needs. The Ollie app offers on demand health screenings where you can tap real experts for pups. Peace of mind. It's so important to give your dog great food that they're gonna love and Ollie is perfect for that. Show your dog some love in the way they understand best. Head to ollie.com chicks. Tell them all about your dog. And use Code chicks to get 60% off your welcome kit when you subscribe today. Plus, they offer a happiness guarantee on the first box, so if you're not completely satisfied, you'll get your money back. That's O l l I e.com chicks and enter code chicks to get 60% off your first box. There's been so much growth even with the tour too. I think that you guys are doing like doing Radio City.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah.
Fran
What did you guys all think when you saw Radio City on the. On the schedule?
Jenna Johnson
I think all of us were very excited because we used to do Radio
Callie
City
Jenna Johnson
and we haven't for, I think, six years. I don't, don't quote me on that, but I know it's been a long chunk of time. And the fact that we were able to sell out two shows at Radio City, we've never done two shows there. It's just wild. Like, that is every dancer's dream. And I think just to be able to like, also headline it together, you know, like, we are the ones selling out this show is unbelievable. It is truly a dream come true. Like, I had a moment last night. We were leaving the venue and I just like looked up at the sign and I was like, what just happened today? Like, what is my life?
Fran
Yeah, I had a moment too.
Jenna Johnson
And also,
Fran
wow. On stage.
Jenna Johnson
Yes.
Fran
You also were on stage on stage at Radio City. I'm in.
Callie
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
You're like, I sold out this show.
Fran
It's like, wow, you guys all came here for me.
Jenna Johnson
But yeah, it's just, it's very surreal. And then also too, I just hearing my niece's name be called for the first time my sister, her mom, was in the audience. And to do that at 19 is also nuts.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
So I think there's just. There's so many emotional things for me at this time, and I truly. This is not me, like, putting out a statement. This is my last tour ever, but. But I really don't know how many more tours I have in me, because I do want to have more children. I also am, like, getting older. I'm not sure how long my body's gonna hold up or how much longer we'll be able to be accommodated together. So I think, too, I'm just treating this as, like, every day is, like, the last of this experience, you know, but it's not. I'm hoping to do many, many more, but I just.
Rhiann
Taking it in.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah. Taking in how lucky I am.
Rhiann
And you could see it on all of your faces as well. And I think that's what makes us, the crowd, be even more captivated. I mean, even, like, Val, being from New York, he looks out and he's like, I love you, New York. And you just, like, you feel it. There's so many emotions involved, and it makes all of us feel like a part of it, which is so magical. You know, speaking of your body, your abs have been quite the conversation this. This past season. And I have to say, you know, everyone's always like, like, jenna, give us the ab routine. I'm like, guys, she's dancing 24 7. Like, no matter.
Fran
I have a special routine.
Rhiann
No matter what routine, she tells us all, we're not gonna look like that unless we are dancing 24 7. And still, I don't know if we have the genetics for that, everybody. Okay. She is a specimen.
Jenna Johnson
It's so funny. I don't know how it happened. I mean, the power of social media. But it's been super funny and super sweet of everybody to comment on my abs, I guess.
Rhiann
No, they're insane. I mean, it's, like, not to objectify, but it is hard not to look at you and go, that's fucking awesome. Like, to just. I think it's empowering, really, what I think it is, as a woman, to be able to look at you and be like, yeah, her abs are fucking awesome. She's so strong. And, like, we want to be strong like her. You know that.
Jenna Johnson
Thank you. I think for. I just am a really disciplined, consistent person, and I haven't always had, like, abs like this. And so it is a lot of hard work. There's not one thing that I did that all Of a sudden, they just magically appeared. But I think it's just, like, years of discipline and saying no to certain things. But, yeah, it's. It's so wild that my abs were memes and going viral. Like, that was not on my bingo card for this year at all.
Rhiann
And that was part of the show, too, with, like, the.
Jenna Johnson
Oh, yeah. It was the core special.
Rhiann
Yes, yes. So good.
Fran
I know. That does make me laugh because it is. It's such a funny thing, especially with socials, like, drop the workout routine. Queen. You're like, girl dance 24 7.
Rhiann
I don't know. You get on there, you're like, I don't have a routine.
Jenna Johnson
I'm sorry. She's a toddler.
Fran
I get a little bit of a plank in before we get out there.
Rhiann
Like, but it is so sick, though, like, just to see, like, a strong
Fran
woman out there and a strong woman who gets to be on cover of this magazine. You're on Supermodels Unlimited. Stunning, gorgeous cover. Have you. You've seen. There's a billboard.
Rhiann
Yes.
Fran
You've seen it or haven't seen it?
Jenna Johnson
I have a picture of it.
Rhiann
Okay.
Jenna Johnson
Okay.
Fran
I haven't been going to see it.
Jenna Johnson
Yes.
Fran
Amazing.
Jenna Johnson
But that, you know, I like, with my team, I made a little dream list for the year last year, and that was on the list to, like, do a cover. I did two this year, which is just crazy. And then to also, like, have a billboard in Times Square. So.
Fran
So it's not even just a cover. It's like, Most Beautiful.
Rhiann
It's Most Beautiful issue.
Fran
Most Beautiful.
Jenna Johnson
I'm not deserving of that title.
Rhiann
You are.
Fran
You absolutely are.
Rhiann
Radio City and a billboard in Times Square in one weekend. Like, the emotions really are coming in.
Jenna Johnson
I don't know what life is, honestly.
Fran
You got to do, like, you know, full, kind of more high fashion esque cover.
Rhiann
Right.
Fran
So you got to do all the shoots. What was that experience like for you, getting to, you know, play dress up and do all that?
Jenna Johnson
Yeah, I loved it because I think, too, I'm always an athleisure. And, like, I did a cover that was more like, sports and athletic gear, which was so fun. But I really am so interested in fashion and styling, and I've been just really pushing myself in that element to, like, not just be dancer Jenna, but to be able to be many different things. And so, yeah, to be able to be in, like, a dress and more high fashion was such an accomplishment for me. Yeah. And I get to play dress up all the time, but they're like costumes, you know, so to be in, like, gowns and jewelry and just, like, styled. It was such an incredible experience.
Fran
So gorgeous. I feel like it's such a fun element to get to see you guys do other stuff. Cause I know everyone's like, it's Jenna Dancer. It's like, everybody's kind of like, dancer title. And I'm sure you guys all have other fun interests and hobbies and things you love to do, but dance is such a huge thing in your life. And you've been dancing since you were how old?
Jenna Johnson
Three.
Fran
Yeah. Like, so forever your entire life.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah. That will always be my identity.
Fran
But is there something, like. I'm sure you've been asked this before, but if you weren't a dancer, is there something in your head of like, oh, I would have liked to have done that.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah. I am just enamored by anatomy. And, like, blood does not scare me at all. Like, even last night in the changing room, Daniella had a bead stuck in her foot. And this was in the first act, and before in intermission, we had to get it out. And I was like, hands in there.
Fran
Give me the tweezers.
Jenna Johnson
Yes. I love that stuff. And my dad was a surgeon, and so I would. This is niche. This is crazy. But I a forensic anthropologist and, like, really specialized in bones and bodies. I also, like, love murder investigations. I'm obsessed.
Fran
So you would be like, the person when on svu, they get the body and then they're like, someone look at this body and tell us what happened.
Bri
Yes.
Jenna Johnson
Connect the dots.
Fran
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Rhiann
Yes.
Jenna Johnson
I've always been intrigued.
Fran
That's not what I thought you were gonna say. And I love it. I love that answer.
Rhiann
And also, I bet. But with, like, you said, you know, Daniela, she's a. Like, that probably happens all the time where there's some sort of. Yeah, he cuts, bruises. Yeah, yeah.
Jenna Johnson
No, I, like, you know, the other night, I scraped my foot and it was gushing blood mid show, and you just, like, gotta wipe it. Put a band aid, wrap your foot and go back out there. So, like, none of that stuff ever grosses me out. Yeah, it's weird, but a booger or, like, poop. Absolutely not.
Fran
Like, get that blood gore. Guys, your kid.
Rhiann
You're like, that's disgusting.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah. Literally.
Callie
Literally.
Fran
Wipe your nose, please.
Jenna Johnson
Please.
Rhiann
So you and Joey were one of our favorite pairings of all time. Like, we were voting religiously.
Jenna Johnson
You guys were so sweet.
Rhiann
We loved it, and we love that Joey just keeps coming back.
Jenna Johnson
I'm like, not Thinking of Dancing with the Stars.
Bri
Yeah.
Rhiann
Can we get rid of this guy?
Jenna Johnson
I love that people, like fell in love with him. Yeah. On the Bachelor, obviously. But like, I think they really got to know him as well as a person on Dancing with Stars.
Fran
I think it's such a testament to the environment that you guys all create too, that so many stars, like, want. They're like, how can I stay involved in the show that they want to stay around? Which is so nice. But you've had so many now, like really iconic partners, you know, whether it was JoJo Siwa, Joey for these next few seasons, do you have anybody in mind? Anybody you've seen? You're like, ooh, I would love to get them as a partner.
Jenna Johnson
There's so many.
Fran
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
So so many. Mr. Fantasy is at the top of my list.
Rhiann
Wow. Listen, if Mr. Fantasy was on Dancing with the Stars at some point, does he drop the act? Like, at some point did we see KJ Apa come out and be like, nope, it's me.
Jenna Johnson
No, I'm going for Mr. Fantasy.
Fran
No, but you want him to be Mr. Fantasy.
Rhiann
Of course. And listen, he's a great dancer.
Bri
Yeah.
Rhiann
He's got the moves, funky moves.
Jenna Johnson
He came to the show this season and it was just so fun to meet him. So I think that would be just absolutely epic. I think somebody from the Olympics would be iconic this next season. You know, I'm. I'm hopeful that they're gonna get a couple. I'd love to dance with Ilya. I think he has such a God.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
Yep.
Jenna Johnson
He has a great story and I think he is just so talented. I have yet to have an NFL player and it sucks because again, the ones that are actually playing are in season during the time. So I'd love like a recently ret. Hired one.
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Like maybe like a Jason Kelsey.
Jenna Johnson
I've had him on the top of my list for a while as well. I think his personality would be so much fun and I think he would actually be low key. So good.
Fran
I think he would too.
Jenna Johnson
He would be that person that just picks it up.
Rhiann
Yes, I think he would. I think he would pick it up. And I think like some people just like.
Fran
I think he has natural rhythm. Like some people just have natural rhythm. I think he could figure it out.
Jenna Johnson
We all saw those videos from the Super Bowl. Exactly. He's got some moves in there.
Callie
Yeah.
Rhiann
Freak flag fly. And it's just letting it out.
Jenna Johnson
And I love an unexpected person like Joey. I feel like was unexpected. Everyone thought he was going to be like, boring and not good and, like two left feet. And then every week, he just kept getting better.
Fran
Yeah, he kind of beat those. Like, the Bachelor are never really good kind of stereotypes because every time that, like, there's a bachelor that comes on, they do all right. Some have done better than others.
Rhiann
The bachelorettes are always good.
Fran
The bachelorettes always fabulous. They always out kick the bachelors, obviously.
Jenna Johnson
But then also, too, I think one of my most fulfilling seasons was with Jojo Siwa where there was a challenge. You know, it was different. It was the first time ever. And so if there were somebody that not was a challenge, but was just like a different unique situation, I would absolutely volunteer. Like, I want to do it. I want to be pushed. I want creatively, Like, I love that. So, yeah, that's kind of.
Fran
I'm excited for you. And I think, like. And I know that's obviously not necessarily on purpose, but I do think sometimes when someone has an amazing season, it, like flip flops goes back and forth, and then the next season is like, maybe they're not on for as long. I can't imagine, honestly, like, having winner after winner after winners. Probably exhausting, too.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah.
Fran
But not even, like, whatever. Making it, making a far. So I feel like this season, this next season, you deserve somebody fantastic.
Jenna Johnson
Thank you. I'm ready.
Fran
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jenna Johnson
I'm gonna be ready.
Rhiann
So we are always ready. And, you know, this season, you know, another one of our favorites was Alex and Val, and they were just so incredible week after week. And Robert and Whitney were so good. Like, that finale was just so tough.
Jenna Johnson
It was, like, insane.
Fran
Ugh.
Rhiann
It was amazing all around. This season was incredible. And now we have Dancing with the Stars con coming up in the summer, and we are excited about this. It was just announced. You gu Announce it on Good morning America. Can you tell us a little bit about this? Like, what we can expect from all of you? There's some great special guests. Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
So it's basically a weekend long experience. July 31st through August 2nd.
Rhiann
Yes.
Jenna Johnson
And it's going to be in Palm Springs. And I am actually really excited about this, selfishly, because a lot of my past partners are coming, and it is so wild that you share that this intimate, exhausting, insane experience with somebody for three months, and then you go about your lives and never really see each other ever again in that capacity.
Fran
Right.
Jenna Johnson
You remain friends and everything. But, like, I'm just so excited to have past celebrities come back, see them, maybe dance. Like, I know Jojo and I will be dancing. I think Joey And I will be dancing.
Rhiann
Oh, you know, Joey's gonna.
Fran
You know, Joey's gonna want to dance.
Jenna Johnson
But then also, like, I'm so excited to see Christina Yamaguchi. Like, I didn't get to meet her because I wasn't on. So, like, I want to see her freaking in person. I want to see her dance. I want to hear her on a panel, which I know that there's going to be. So there's two shows that are happening. There's going to be some live performances, there's panels. But also, I think something that's so special, we really felt the support of the fans the past two seasons. This is a fan experience. Like, if you haven't been able to come to a tour or you had but want to meet more people, more celebrities, have more of those intimate interactions, this is your place to do it.
Rhiann
Yeah. I think that's a great thing about a convention. And I feel like if somebody hasn't been to one, they don't realize that there is so much opportunity to meet people that you're a huge fan of. You know, like, other networks have done it for other shows, and there's other. Everyone's always in the space. Right. Like, the dancers could be walking by, and you're like, oh, my God, they're right there. And you would never think that you would. Would get to meet someone you're such a big fan of. So I do think it's an amazing experience.
Jenna Johnson
Except we haven't done this yet. You know, it's like, BravoCon's been happening. Why haven't we had our own. Like, let's get into it.
Rhiann
Yeah. And it's gonna be in a beautiful spot as well.
Fran
Yes. Yeah, that's definitely a nice added element. You're right. Cause I think, like. And it feels like it's all kind of happening at the right time, though, too. You've been celebrating just, like, massive milestones for the show. It's how many seasons and years and all these, you know, 20 years and all these things that you got guys have gotten to do. So it's like, it feels like a good time to commemorate all of. All of that as well. Like, we were at the 20th anniversary anniversary show, and that was even just so cool from where we were sitting looking, because so many pro stars were all there that have been on, and you're seeing them all sit around the ballroom, and just even from that, you're like, oh, duh. Like, put them all in a. Put them all at a convention.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Jenna Johnson
Also, I think it will Be fun to, like. Like you're saying, have people from different seasons interact and be in the same shared space, you know, because you get to know the people from your specific season, but there's all these different connections, and to, like, see everyone in one place is going to be pretty awesome.
Fran
Definitely. Because I think it's cool, too, to get to see some of the X stars and stuff interact with other pros too. Cause you see when you watch a show, it's like you really see the star in the capacity of who they are partnered up with, and you don't really get to see them do much else. Which is why I always. I know was always never under, like, good circumstances. Cause it means somebody was hurt or sick or something. That when a. When a star would have to dance with a different pro and you'd be like, oh, not good, because something obviously bad has happened. But sometimes you'd get, like, incredible dances and you're like, oh, my God, that was so cool to see them.
Rhiann
Yes.
Fran
And they all have different. You all have relics, relationships with everybody. We see everybody every day.
Jenna Johnson
It's also fun because, yeah, we do get to get to know other people. Like, Danielle Fishel was one of my favorite people I've ever met. Nelly. Every Tuesday before results, he would let me try on his new Rolex that he wore for the show. It was like our ritual. He'd be like, here, try it. And I'd be like, oh, my God. So, like, there's just, like, so many special bonds as well. And I love that you've observed that, because we do get to interact not as much with just our partner, but you create special bonds together.
Rhiann
Especially, you know, the relay they did this season when we got to see the different pairings of, like, when Dylan Efron danced with Rumer Willis and everyone was like, oh, my God, they're incredible together. You know, two stars dancing together is. Is awesome. So I can't wait to see, you know, what comes from Dancing with the Stars Con. We're so excited.
Fran
I know it's gonna be. It's gonna be so much fun. So how are you? How do you prep for the rest of the rest of the tour? Like, where are you off to next?
Jenna Johnson
We head to Pennsylvania.
Fran
Okay.
Jenna Johnson
And then we're just making our rounds. We go to D.C. we're in Baltimore this week. We're all over.
Rhiann
Is the next show tomorrow or tonight?
Jenna Johnson
Tomorrow.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
I do have a day off.
Rhiann
I was gonna say one day off and you're here. I'm sorry.
Jenna Johnson
No, honestly, I'M actually so excited. Like, I really want to. Wanted to do this. So this is very fulfilling for my day off, but then I just want to run around New York City with my son and with Val, and we obviously. Val was so sweet for Valentine's Day. Like, he was very stressed that we had to work and we had a show day and there was a lot going on, and so he was like, we're gonna do a date night on our day off.
Fran
So, yeah.
Jenna Johnson
Find those human moments. And. Yeah, I love it.
Rhiann
Get some good food and just enjoy New York City. Love it.
Fran
I don't know why I'm, like, so fixated on waking up in another place. I'm like, wow. Obviously, it's planned so that you can make it in time to the next place in just an overnight. In one overnight drive.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah.
Fran
You all over.
Jenna Johnson
You go to sleep and you wake up and you're in a new state, a new city.
Fran
Do you ever get on stage and have to be like, someone remind me where we are?
Jenna Johnson
Oh, yeah. Thank goodness I am not Emma, because she has to welcome the city every day.
Rhiann
Right.
Jenna Johnson
So, yeah, I could not, because I'm even like, what day is it? Today is a Thursday. I have no idea.
Rhiann
So it is funny watching you guys on stage. I'm like, oh, we haven't. We haven't heard them talk. And I'm like, you know what? They're doing their thing up there.
Jenna Johnson
Yeah, they're dancing.
Rhiann
Yeah. I'm like, they're dancing. I miss hearing them talk.
Fran
Right, right, right.
Callie
So true.
Fran
It's like, how much can we ask, really?
Rhiann
Right, Exactly.
Fran
From a whole show. But this was so much fun. Thank you so much.
Rhiann
Thank you so much for making the time for us.
Fran
Enjoy the rest of your day off. Thanks. And we can't wait to see what Dancing with the Stars con comes out with. And obviously, whatever happens for the next season of the show, thank you. Who you get to be dancing with.
Rhiann
And we'll be following along on TikTok.
Jenna Johnson
Absolutely. Yes, yes.
Rhiann
But take the break as you need.
Jenna Johnson
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Rhiann
She's back.
Jenna Johnson
She's motivated.
Rhiann
She's motivated. But if you don't want to post, it's fine.
Jenna Johnson
I appreciate that.
Rhiann
You know what I mean?
Jenna Johnson
Thank you for that important understanding, like boundaries.
Callie
Yeah.
Fran
You know what? Just say back to them. You know what Rhea said. I don't have to post to that.
Rhiann

Whoever has the most points at the end wins. To determine who goes first, Noah's gonna give us a movie. We're gonna guess the Rotten Tomatoes critic score of the movie. Whoever is closest will go first. We each get our own individual guests, and we will alternate between teams for guesses. So, Noah, what is today's movie?
Rhiann
Movie?
Callie
Today's movie is Dear John.
Fran
Dear John. Okay, so one of you guys guess first.
Bri

Callie
What is the prohibited cheerleading move called in the movie? Fire it up. Oh.
Fran
Oh.
Rhiann
Fountain of Troy.
Fran

Jenna Johnson
Yes.
Callie
Gotta say final answer.
Fran
Final answer. He looked at us like.
Rhiann
Actually, I wish everyone was able to
Callie

Rhiann
Sorry, I meant I'm waiting for final answer. Final answer.
Callie
All right.
Fran
Yes.
Rhiann
Okay. Jeffy Lowe.
Callie
There's no winning if I. If I. If I say yes. But then you don't say, yeah, you're right. The rules of the game.
Jenna Johnson
You're right.
Rhiann
Right.
Fran
You're right.
Callie
All right. Five, four. That's a compliment, by the way.
Rhiann
It is.
Callie
Five, four. Bri and Callie. And this is question number 12. To them, shout out Marina from Valencia, California, in Friends, who does Phoebe believe is her grandfather because of a framed photo in her grandmother's house?
Rhiann
Hmm.
Bri
Would it be like.
Callie
Like.
Bri
It wouldn't be like a president, would it? I was thinking a president or, like, Elvis or something. But I was seeing a president, too, so maybe we're on to something. I don't know, like Ronald Reagan.
Jenna Johnson
I don't know.
Bri
Five seconds. Elvis. Final answer.
Callie
Incorrect.
Rhiann
Don't look at me. I'm a fraud. I said it. I said. When I went to the Friends Experience,
Fran
I was at the Friend's Experience and everything. They didn't have the picture up on it?
Rhiann
I don't think so. I must have missed it if they did.
Fran
I have no clue. Just like an old actor. But he'd be a grandpa.
Callie
10 seconds.
Rhiann
I have no idea.
Fran
President's a good guess.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
Jfk.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
A young JFK was your grandpa. I have no clue. That's our answer.
Callie
Incorrect. Albert Einstein.
Fran

Okay, still five, four.
Fran
Name someone old.
Rhiann
Alvarez Steel.
Callie
Five four. Brian Kelly. This is question number 13. To re and Fran, shout out Lizzie and Ren from College Station.
Fran
Hey, they're back.
Callie
They're back.
Rhiann
They're back.
Callie
We miss you guys in heated rivalry. What animal sound does Ilya mistakenly think is a wolf howling at the cottage?
Fran
It's a duck. Like, it's like a loon, right?
Rhiann
Yes, sure. I thought it was a bird.
Fran
Yeah, that's a bird. A loon is a bird.
Rhiann
Okay. You said duck.
Fran
Also a bird.
Rhiann
All right. You can see the confusion.
Fran
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Rhiann
Okay.
Fran
A loon. Final answer, correct.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Callie
If you had said duck, though, I would have said said wrong, Right?
Fran
Yeah.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Callie
Okay.
Fran
What about bird?
Callie
I think I'd still be like, you got to narrow it down.
Fran
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Callie
There's a lot of birds out there.
Rhiann
Fair.
Fran
Fair.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Callie
All right. Five. Tied up at five. Two questions left. Question number 14 to Brienne C. Shout out Lizzie and Ren from College Station again in the Wizards of Waverly Place opening theme. Max turns the orange in his hand into what?
Fran
Wow, that's a deep cut.
Bri
I'm trying to envision. I know, like, he had maybe a basket. I feel like there's, like, a. Oh, you might be right.
Jenna Johnson
And then he spins it, maybe.
Bri
I think I might be making this all up. Is there anything else it could be? I don't think so. I was gonna say like an animal, but honestly, let's go with that.
Fran
Basketball.
Rhiann
Okay.
Bri
Basketball. Final answer, incorrect.
Fran
Oh, that sounded so good.
Rhiann
Like I was.
Fran
That's definitely right. I don't know.
Rhiann
A sandwich.
Fran
Orange becomes a. I don't know. Sandwich.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Fran
Sandwich shop.
Rhiann
I. Yeah. I don't know.
Fran
But why does any. To use magic to get a sandwich.
Rhiann
He doesn't. A lizard. An amphibian.
Callie
Sure.
Fran
Maybe some sort of animal, some type of reptile. Yeah, Lizard.
Rhiann
I like lizard. All right. Lizard.
Callie
Final answer, incorrect. A cupcake.
Rhiann
Oh, just another food shit.
Callie
I think this is back to back games that you've said amphibian.
Fran
To be honest, it's the most she's ever said amphibian ever.
Callie
Did you just find that out?
Fran
No, she's just, like, really excited to talk about amphibious
Jenna Johnson
toads.
Callie
That was one of the craziest guesses ever. Really?
Rhiann
I don't think it was that crazy
Callie
of a guess if it was like, a shack by a swamp, maybe. I don't.
Rhiann
I don't know. I don't know.
Callie
All right, final question.
Fran
Oh, shit. Okay.
Callie
Tied up.
Fran
This is why I was afraid to
Rhiann
raise my hand in school.
Fran
Yeah.
Callie
Shout out Lauren from Indianapolis. And this is to reinstate Lauren. Which restaurant chain is featured multiple times in the 2011 Rom com? Something borrowed.
Fran
What restaurant chain?
Rhiann
I've seen this movie exactly one time.
Fran
I've seen it a lot.
Rhiann
Denny's.
Fran
That's a good guess. I'm in the, like, Applebee's
Rhiann
world.
Fran
GI Fridays.
Rhiann
Applebee's.
Fran
Applebee's was the first thing that popped
Rhiann
in my mind, so let's go with Applebee's Okay. Applebee's just seemed too obvious to me, but that might be it.

Bri
I feel like Olive Garden might be too. Themed.
Rhiann
Yeah.
Bri
Restaurant. Would it be like, fast food or. I think it sounds like it's a restaurant. So with TGI Fridays. Sure. Final answer.
Callie

Callie
Shake. Shake Shack.
Fran
Oh, wow.
Rhiann
Random.
Fran
Doesn't ring a single bell.
Rhiann
Not at all. Not at all.
Fran
Not at all. They go to Shake Shack in that movie, right?
Rhiann
I feel like Shake Shack came after that movie.
Callie
All right, overtime.
Fran
Oh, you know what?
Callie
Someone sent in as a voicemail as an idea. I don't know if we have to do this now, but that we should do it like NFL games that when we go to overtime, we do another Rotten Tomatoes score as, like, another coin flip for, like, who goes first.
Fran
That's not a bad idea.
Callie
Do we implement that or do we. We.
Bri
I'm down.
Fran
We could implement that.
Rhiann
Sure.
Fran
I like that idea. Start fresh.
Callie
Yeah. All right. I'll give you.
Fran
That was a Rotten Tomatoes pun.
Callie
Oh, I. I did not get that.
Rhiann
Fresh meter.
Callie
Yeah, the switch with Jennifer Anderson and Jason Bateman.
Fran
Okay. All right, so we'll go do the same order.
Bri
Gonna say 54.
Callie
That's it.
Rhiann
Wow,
Callie
that's crazy.
Jenna Johnson
Wow.
Bri
I've never even seen that movie, but
Fran
I tried real well. You know what? You guys get to go first and that. And you would have gone first anyway because that's. If we didn't implement this. This new role you guys would have got.
Callie
Okay, question number one just made it way cooler. Bri and Kelly, shout out Gretchen from dc. Which actress plays both Jenny and Forrest Gump and Buttercup in the Princess Bride?
Bri
What is her name? Robin Wright. Okay, final answer.
Callie
Correct.
Fran
Like, she just went.
Jenna Johnson
Okay.
Fran
