Maybe you shopped for everybody but yourself, and now you want to treat yourself. So go to Macy's dot com.
Ria
You know what I was addicted to over the break was the Christmas hauls on TikTok. And I feel like this is the perfect time. Cause now it's over. You got your gifts, but you're watching other people get gifts, and when you see them open something, you're like, oh, my God, what a good idea. Why didn't I think of that? Yes. So you also had that experience. You can shop@macy's.com, browse, see if maybe any of those items you saw are there. You can jump on that and. And maybe add a couple. Couple of things off your wish list.
Fran
Why not?
Ria
There's always one or two things you don't end up getting. And then you're like, shit, I'll just get this for myself.
Fran
Right? Exactly. Treat yourself. Go to make.com. welcome back, everybody.
Ria
Hello.
Fran
How are we feeling? Welcome back.
Ria
Room break.
Fran
It was a full two weeks.
Ria
I know. It was like a really long time, actually.
Fran
Holy shots.
Ria
I like that. We're still. We didn't miss. Skip a beat. We're still extremely matching comfortable. We showed up in brown sweatsuits today. I'm wearing brown, too. Yeah.
Fran
Oh, my God.
Ria
So at least we're cohesive in that sense.
Fran
Yes.
Ria
We haven't skipped a beat when it comes to showing up matching.
Fran
No, we haven't. But we really haven't talked much.
Ria
No, because. And I thought that. And I was like, I just feel like we're really enjoying our time off.
Fran
Yes. And also because it makes us have so much to talk about today for this episode.
Ria
And I really like sometimes, because I know I'm really trying to disconnect and not be on My phone as much. I'm like, I'm sure she's feeling the same way. So it's like, well, you know, for.
Fran
Sure it helps everybody listen. I got so locked into the Sopranos, I was sobbing at people's deaths, like, you know what I mean?
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fran
Jackie Jr. You know what I mean? It's a tough one, but a lot happened. I feel like I. I lived a million lives over the last two weeks.
Ria
But really, truly.
Fran
How was your guys break?
Ria
It was. It was lovely. It's like you said, I think we've had. It was like two parts almost of like Christmas feels last year. It was. Yeah, yeah.
Fran
I didn't even do that purposely, I swear. I was just thinking of like a long time ago.
Ria
Yes. But I, you know, I actually said that I made that joke to Joe on the beach when he brought something up. And I was like. Cause you haven't. It was a year ago.
Fran
Yeah, it's so last year.
Ria
But it was. It was so nice time with family. Around Christmas. I went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, which I haven't been to maybe since I was little, and I really forgot. They. They have upped their game, man.
Fran
Really? I said, I've never been. Oh.
Ria
I said to Joe, like, I wouldn't be surprised if there are, like, adults that go and maybe have like a mushroom, chocolate or something before they go.
Noah
That's what I did last time.
Ria
It's like a trippy show. It's a light show. Everything. All the lights on the ceilings. There's this nutcracker portion where the nutcracker. The other dancers are like giant stuffed animals with, like, goofy faces.
Fran
Wow.
Ria
And for a second, Joe and I just looked at each other and we were like, what's happening right now?
Noah
There are no animals this year, right?
Ria
No, there were animals.
Noah
There were. I thought they got rid of them.
Ria
No. They know why. No.
Fran
And.
Ria
Oh, my God, Noah. There was a moment when the donkey was walking across the stage and its front hooves, like, slipped a little, and the whole. The whole audience went, he or she was okay, recovered quickly, thank God. But I, like, I thought in my head, first of all, I was shocked, too, that they still used the live animals. And when that donkey almost wiped out, I thought, I'm gonna be here at the end. This is gonna be the last show that they ever have, because this poor donkey is gonna be the reason. But the donkey recovered, so it was all okay. But it was a beautiful show. And then Joe and I spent New Year's down at my parents in Florida, it was just the four of us. My siblings were not there. So that it was actually quite nice. Love the love JB and Gia. But like there's just. There's much more of a chaotic energy when we're all together. And it's. The living quarters get a little tighter when we're all there together. So it was nice. We were like, oh my God, the bathroom's all just for us. Like it's really. Enjoy our time. Lots of great meals, time with my parents. I had a bunch of friends down there too, so a couple nights out. But yeah, it was. I'm sure everybody else felt this way too, where because of the way the holiday fell and the break just felt longer, that after New Year's I was like, I can't go on like this. How many dirty martinis can one girl have in a 10 day span? Because. Whoa. It was a lot.
Fran
Wow, you really wrapped them in.
Ria
It was a lot. So I'm doing like damp, very damp. January.
Fran
What does that consist of?
Ria
Like, I will not be drinking. Besides, there. There are moments of your bridal showers, right?
Fran
The theme is pearls and Prosecco.
Ria
I will have Prosecco. It's criminal not to. Honestly, it's an insult to you and to your entire family if I don't.
Fran
Right.
Ria
So that I will. I will certainly have a glass of Prosecco or 2.
Fran
Multiple. Because my mom. By the way, this is what I was gonna tell you before the show started spoiled what the surprise was.
Ria
Oh, you, you chiffos and your inability to keep a secret. Seriously, Nobody could keep a secret.
Fran
You're a surprise.
Ria
You guys all get so excited.
Fran
Yes. Like a surprise, like, really gets us going.
Ria
Yes.
Fran
And nobody can fucking keep that.
Ria
It's not a surprise.
Fran
And we were on FaceTime yesterday. She told me, yes, My bridal shower was on Saturday. She had one week to go. She's like, do you wanna know your surprise? I'm like, well, now I literally was never gonna ask, but now you just brought it up. So if you feel like I should know this surprise, then I guess tell me what the surprise is. And then my sister's in the background, like, oh, like you're telling her the surprise and then it's a whole thing. And then she ended up telling it to me, but I'm super excited. So she got karaoke. Like, there's like, there's a karaoke guy coming with a whole rolling karaoke machine and a screen and the whole thing. And she's like, me and Aunt Jean are singing Dancing Queen. Like, she's like, already has. She already has her plans out, which I'm so excited. It's gonna be so much fun. But I was like, yeah, no more surprise. And let me tell you, when I tell people the surprise is ruined, they get pissed. Like, not only did my mom ruin the surprise of me, you, and I didn't even tell my mother in law yet. She's gonna be upset that my mom ruined the surprise. Like, nobody's happy that my mom ruined the surprise because.
Ria
And I really tried to get her to keep the surprise. Cause I know we were in Boston and we were. It was before the Rumhaven event and your parents were at the bar and she was like, oh, Franny, I gotta tell you about the surprise. And I'm like, oh. So she tells me. And then she's like, do you think she's gonna like it? I was like, she's gonna love it. She's like, do you think, like, we need to tell her, like, before. I was like, no, no, she'll love it. I think it'll be fun. It's a good. I cannot see why she wouldn't love that. And you started walking towards us, and so I'm like, oh, here she comes, Here she comes. She's like, okay, okay, okay.
Fran
The woman cannot keep in anything. She just can't. And all got passed out. Bless her. Yeah, I mean, bless her. She's an absolute doll, sweetheart.
Ria
Because the excitement is just so high. And sometimes I also think that you guys also get worried that the surprise isn't gonna live up to, like, the expectation in your mind because you built up the surprise. So you're like, let me. Let me get out of this by, like, just telling them the surprise a couple days early. That way, if they're not as excited as I am, no one else is around, it won't be a big deal. But every time, everyone's excited, for sure, friend.
Fran
You're so right. And it's like, it's just out of the goodness of our hearts. You know what I mean?
Ria
Yeah, I know.
Fran
We love a surprise, but it's excitement and a little bit scared. Like, what if they don't?
Ria
It's so funny, right? Cause it's just the buildup of, like, oh, you had this in the works for a while now, and it's almost just a week.
Fran
Just a week away.
Ria
Just only a few more days.
Fran
Just a week away. But back to what you were saying. So, you know, little moments, you'll drink, but.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. But I, you know, that's gotta I will say, like, there is a rhythm that you get in. And I was really feeling pretty good about it pre wedding where it wasn't like, I wasn't doing anything crazy, I wasn't killing myself, was still living my life, having fun, whatever, but there, because I was prepping for something, I was like, oh, there's some, you know, and then forget about it. After the wedding, honeymoon, holidays, like, everything, I was like, anything. I, I want everything in anything, right? And now I'm like, reel it back in times. It, you know, just, just a little bit. But you also had some. You had a big trip.
Fran
I did have a big trip. And it feels like it's spectacular. Like, I forgot that I even. You know what I mean? Cause we came home last Wednesday, so we've been home for a couple days, but we went to London and Paris for just one day, which I will get to the Paris part, but London was spectacular. We went with Matt's family. We had a grand old time. I mean, I love London. I don't know how many times I could say that without it becoming a nuisance of how much I really love that place.
Ria
And Matt, Matt loves London so much, he defeated food poisoning in like 16 hours.
Fran
Let me tell you. First of all, I don't know if it was food poisoning or norovirus, which people are saying, but this is what happened.
Ria
It could have been. We get, everyone's talking about the neurovirus.
Fran
Right now, and we get to London, we land at like 8:30am on Friday, and we immediately start the day. We're seeing all the sites. We're getting all the sites in early on Friday. So we hit Big Ben, we hit Buckingham, we're, we're running around, we're hitting everything. We go back to the hotel, we check in. Because you can't check in right away. Yeah, we'll check in. 3:00pm we're getting ready, we're going to dinner. We're. It's, it's great time. We're going to dinner, we're going to the bars. Great time. We're like, okay, let's, you know, we're having fun at the bars. But we're like, let's reel it in because we want to wake up early tomorrow, head to Notting Hill, go to the markets, whole thing. Let's reel it in. So we reel it in, we go back to the hotel, we fall asleep, and I'm pumped. I'm like, oh. Like, I, it's like, I know I'm about to fall asleep and it's so hard to fall asleep when you're five hours ahead. Like. But I'm like, I can feel myself falling asleep. I'm like, great. So we both fall asleep. We both wake up at around, I want to say, 1:32am so, like, I'd only been asleep for two hours at that point. I'm like. We look at our phones, like, damn, it's 1:32 now we're up, we're giggling, we're laughing, we're like playing games, laying in bed. And all of a sudden he's like, oh, my God, I'm gonna be sick. And he just. It literally out of nowhere, just sprints to the bathroom. And let me tell you, this hotel we're staying at is one of those hotels that in the rooms, they don't split up the bathroom. And you know what I mean? Like. Yeah, yeah. Nowadays with these hotels, it's like floor plan. It's like there's no actual door, like.
Ria
To the bathrooms, there's no doors. The toilet's right there. There's.
Fran
Everything's out in the open.
Ria
Separate thing for the toilet. Like, you can be on the toilet. The bathroom, it's a glass door.
Fran
You can hear everything. It's a whole thing. He sprints to the bathroom. He's puking his brains out. And he comes back into bed. He's like, okay, I think I feel better. Like, that was weird. Like, maybe something's just not sitting right. Half hour later, again. So, like every half hour now, he's just sick as a dog.
Ria
Did he eat anything weird?
Fran
Okay, so what happened? So now he's as sick as a dog and it's still going until like 12 in the afternoon the next day. So like 2am to like 12 in the afternoon and it finally slows down.
Noah
This sounds exactly like what I had you texted me when it was happening.
Fran
Yeah, because I'm like, when you went to the hospital, you could have all sweat. Yeah, well, that's what I'm saying. When you. I'm like, when you went to the hospital, did they bring up the fact that this could possibly be a stomach virus and not food poisoning? Because we all ate the same thing. Except he had. We all ate the same thing and we got this chicken. But he had so much more of the chicken than everybody else. So I started convincing myself, because at this point I'm like, I hope it's food poisoning, because this is the stomach virus. It's coming for me.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fran
This stomach virus is the most.
Ria
Right.
Fran
What's contagious things that anybody can like. It's the most contagious thing ever. So I'm like, oh my God, oh my God. I'm going to get the stomach virus in London. And then I feel awful for him because he is like so. And there's no worse feeling than being so sick in somewhere that's not your home. So he is so sick and we're like, oh my God, what can we do? We're getting him fluids, we're getting him everything. And he ended up resting the whole day. On Saturday we still went out and did things. I came back and took like a three hour nap because I didn't sleep at all because you know the bathroom's not separated. So.
Ria
No. Yeah.
Fran
But he made a miraculous recovery on Sunday. He woke up and was completely fine, which I feel awful that he missed the day on Saturday and felt like such shit. But then he woke up and was completely fine. So I'm like, was this the stomach virus? Was this food poisoning? I feel like the stomach virus lasts longer than, than that. But some people say it could last less.
Ria
This whatever's going around right now is like, is moving fast through people apparently is what I've seen.
Fran
Yeah, it was awful.
Ria
Weird 24 hour thing.
Fran
He was down bad. I felt so awful for him. But he made a miraculous recovery on Sunday, was ready for afternoon tea and had the rest of the day which was fabulous. I was so impressed cuz I'm like I would not be able to pull it together like you because.
Ria
Woo.
Fran
And then I spent the entire time thinking this is coming for me.
Ria
Right, right, right. Like I'm like, I was just waiting.
Fran
Everywhere I went I was like, oh, I'm gonna be at the Eiffel Tower and I'm just gonna like shit my pants at the Eiffel Tower. Like this is what's gonna happen to me. But that did not happen, thank God. And we went to Paris on Monday just for a day trip. We didn't stay there, we just took the train during the day.
Ria
How was the train?
Fran
Lovely. It was two hours. It was quick. I have to say though, Paris left me with little to no desire to ever return.
Ria
Really?
Fran
Yeah. And it's not that I didn't like it, I just. And we went all over the map. Even though we were there for the day, I'm sure that it's not, it's not the way you're supposed to experience something by trying to pack everything in in a day. So I know that had something to do with it. Like I know that probably Had a lot to do with it. But even from what I saw and was around, I wasn't like, I want to come back here. That's just like, how I felt about it, you know, it is what it is. I didn't have that lust like I do with London. Like, oh, I have to get back. I didn't feel that way when I was in Paris. It also could be due to the fact that it was incredibly packed and crowded, and everywhere you went, it was madness. So, yeah, I'm not going to judge it based solely on the. That experience. Cause there's only one year.
Ria
Different time of the year.
Fran
Different time of the year. But I. Yeah, it didn't leave me with, like, a yearning for more.
Ria
I love. It's disappointing. Yeah. It just.
Fran
It is what it is, you know, that's just how I felt.
Ria
But, you know, not everybody loves all the same cities.
Fran
Exactly, exactly. But was happy to return back in London. And it was a fantastic trip.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Nothing. Nothing bad to say about it. Neurovirus, food poisoning. Then I ended up with a major canker sore because I was stressing so much that I. That I then woke up with a. This canker sore. I was like, oh, damn you. Damn you, canker sore.
Ria
Oh, my God. Yeah. But the New Year's Eve situation, you guys had looked fantastic.
Fran
So New Year's Eve was. We were really rolling the dice with New Year's Eve. We had no idea what to do in London. And we had been like, googling, like, what to do in London on New Year's Eve. And it came up that they have fireworks, but to me, it felt like a Times Square situation. Like, ball drop. Like, you're like, you don't want to go stand in this crowd.
Ria
Like, if you were a tourist coming to New York and you googled what to do on New Year's Eve, and it's like, go to Times Square, watch the ball drop. We'd be like, no.
Fran
We'd be like, do not do that. Do not do that. So then it started coming up on Google, like some of these boat cruises, which you just buy a ticket. Like a bunch of people buy a ticket to go on, like, a boat cruise around the River Thames and you could see the fireworks. So that's what. We took a shot in the dark. We bought some tickets to go on this boat cruise. We were like, this could be horrendous, you know, like, this is like, you.
Ria
Don'T know who else. What the clientele is.
Fran
Like, we don't know what the clientele's like, we don't know what kind of boat this is. Like, you're just. We're just buying a random ticket for a boat cruise to go around the river and.
Ria
And now what if it was a disaster, it would have been a funny story, too.
Fran
And so that's why we did it.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
We were like, okay, this could either be the worst fucking night ever. And it'll be hilarious that we went on here and we met all these freaks and the boat was horrendous and we all got sick and it was a whole thing. It'll be a funny story or it'll be magical. And it was mad. It was the most magical thing I've ever seen. Like, standing on top of this boat and seeing these fireworks above the London Eye and Big Ben. Like, I can't even put it into words. Like, we were all just sitting there in awe. Like, I can't believe that we are here watching this right now. Like, it was so, like, emotional at the same time, too. Like, we were all like, this is crazy. Like, what are we experiencing? And I'm shocked people don't do it. More like, it. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, buy a ticket to go on the boat cruise and watch the fireworks.
Noah
River. Like, I'm sure they do.
Fran
No, I'm saying, like, no, no, he's.
Ria
Thinking about the New York. Like, he's saying, I don't do that here.
Fran
Fireworks.
Ria
Yeah, we do.
Fran
Do.
Noah
We definitely do.
Ria
Yeah, I'm sure they do it. Yeah, I'm sure they do or something.
Fran
But I think people probably think how we felt. Like, is this.
Ria
Yeah, yeah.
Fran
Saint. Like, what's going on on this boat? Like, you know, it's not the craziest thing in the world. Like, it's not crazy expensive to, like, get on this boat, you know? Like, so, yeah, I mean, it was. It was just really. Just such an incredible moment. Like, I'm like, now I'm, like, disassociating, like, looking back on it. Like, I'm like, oh, my God. Because I can't even put into words. I'm like, what? We're in London watching these fireworks. Like, this is insane. So that was super cool and a really cool way to end the trip and to enter 2025. We were like, this is fucking sick. This is awesome.
Ria
It was.
Fran
And, yeah. And then we came home and I proceeded to sit on my couch or in bed for literally four days straight. Like, it was actually a concerning amount of time I spent on the couch. Like, I only left to work out and Then I would come back, like. Like, I canceled out the workouts because I just sat on the couch for the rest of the day.
Ria
There's no other movement involved. There was that, let me tell you.
Fran
Zero. Zero movement. Like, I just didn't leave the couch. And I ate, like, a couple days fucking garbage. Like, all the candy that, like, my mom gave me for Christmas. Like, I was just eating all of that. Like, I was eating, like, I'm like, what is, like, the trashiest, like, roasted food I can eat right now? And I'm going to eat it. Like, that's basically what I was doing for. From Wednesday night until today.
Ria
Yeah, I feel you.
Fran
Yeah. And Noah came over on Friday with a couple other people, and we played games all night, and that was a fun time.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
Noah brought a bag of Doritos.
Ria
Of course, it's his calling card now.
Noah
I ran a buyer first.
Fran
Yeah. I was like, well, obviously you have to.
Ria
Yeah, yeah. Actually, if you show up without one now.
Fran
And we did all eat the Doritos.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
They went to you.
Noah
That's what happened the first time, too.
Fran
We did.
Noah
You're not going to bring a bag of Doritos and it'll stay on.
Ria
Right? And no one's got to open it?
Fran
No, we ate the Doritos, and it was awesome.
Noah
Yeah, it was a fun.
Ria
Do you have a nice break now?
Noah
Yeah, definitely. Way more uneventful than you guys. It sounds. Just. Basically did nothing. And, like, I just took the two weeks to be like, I'm going to be really unhealthy. Like, I've. Like, last. Last year, I started the year off being like, I'm gonna go on a health journey. And I kind of kept it up for the whole year to be like, try to be healthy, work out every day. So then these two weeks, I've, like, you've earned.
Ria
Yeah, yeah.
Noah
Doing nothing and just eating like shit. But, you know, got to hang out with Marie. And we have another foster, a foster dog who's been around for a while.
Ria
Really cute foster.
Noah
And from the sounds of it, sounds like she's getting close to, like, just staying with us, like, for good. But that would. Yeah. My dad's, like, one stipulation is that if we keep her, then we're not allowed to foster then.
Ria
You can't. You can't.
Noah
She's like, I don't want three dogs.
Ria
Yeah.
Noah
But she's great. And I had to watch them one night, but.
Ria
So your mom must really like her.
Noah
Oh, yeah, Yeah. I always, like, ask everyone always ranks like, Foster dogs. And my dad is like, she's like, 1, 1, 1A.
Ria
Yeah, it's. It's tough because you can't get attached. Like, people are so aggressive. I like, because I follow a ton of rescues, and I see, like, when there's a foster or somebody's a foster, and every time they get a new foster dog, all the comments are like, oh, my God, you have to keep them. Like, it's so amazing. And they're like, no, like, I understand. Of course I would love to keep every dog that I foster. But, like, in order for me to keep being a foster and helping to save other animals, for sure, you know, when you put them in the right home, you have to continue the cycle. But of course, there are plenty of foster fails out there. And your mom's been fostering for a long time, right? Like, it's been. Yeah, it's been years and years.
Noah
Also, this one is tough because she loves Murray. Like, is obsessed with him. Like, we'll just, like always. Nova. No, like, like the cream.
Ria
Nova. Girl.
Fran
Nova. Noah.
Noah
But yeah, So I don't know. We'll see. I said I had to watch them yesterday. And I said when I was leaving, I'm like, I guess I'll see if I ever see you again. Nova. Like, could be forever or could be never again.
Fran
Oh, that's sad. Or really exciting.
Ria
Yeah. Yeah.
Noah
I also tore the lingament in my finger.
Ria
Oh, God.
Noah
On the first day that of vacation, basically, I was packing my bag. It's not a cool story.
Fran
Did you. Because I was gonna say, did you come up with a new story?
Ria
No.
Noah
No. Because they were like, oh, how did you do it? I'm like, packing. I was just trying to shove everything in my thing and my finger for, like, I didn't do anything about it for like a week and a half. And my finger was just bent kind of like. So you see how, like, this middle finger, like, straight.
Ria
Yeah.
Noah
This part was just like, hanging, basically. It's called a mallet finger. I went to the. To the doctor a few days ago, and I have to wear the splint for six. Six straight weeks.
Ria
Wow.
Noah
And if I take it off, she said it'll immediately reset the clock because it'll just, like, tear again. So.
Ria
Geez.
Fran
Tough go. Real tough go.
Ria
Seriously. But you were really trying to shove stuff.
Noah
I don't know what happened. It wasn't even that.
Fran
Yeah, it's a freak accident.
Noah
It's a freak accident.
Fran
Dang.
Ria
Yeah. Damn. Right at the beginning. Right at the beginning.
Noah
That was the first day and my, my whole family was like. Because I said, I think I just broke my finger in there.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
They're all like, yeah. Yes. Suck it up.
Fran
Damn, that sucks.
Noah
Yeah.
Ria
And they're like, what were you doing? Packing.
Fran
There's no way you broke your. That's unfortunate. That's a tough go.
Ria
That. That is for sure.
Fran
We, we got back into the thick of wedding planning this weekend, which I'm like, I'm truly so, so, so, so excited because when we first got engaged, I think like we had a totally different vision than what it's becoming now. Like, it was like I was keeping it. Like I was trying to be something I'm not. You know, classy. Like. Oh, like, like no. You know what I mean? No. Like whites and creams and classic and whatever. And like, no. There's none of my personality is in that.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And now it's become like so much more fun and like, so our personalities intertwined into this and all these little details and like all these things have been coming to my head, like little ideas and I'm like, oh, I want to do that and do this and that. And I'm like, ah. Like I have all these ideas rushing through me and I'm so excited and making them happen this weekend. And I got a day of coordinator shout out eventful days. They're great. And she's been helping me a little bit more with some of the other things as well. And it's just like back and forth, like, here's an idea. Oh, let's do this. And I'm like, oh, like I just, I'm so freaking excited because now it feels like our personalities are so intertwined into our wedding rather than like, okay, we'll do like the, you know, classic colors and whatever and you know, and I'm like this, the details are so us. Like I just, I can't wait.
Ria
Just, just incorporating more of you guys in it. Not just like the putting things into the, the wedding.
Fran
Yeah. Where they feel and it's like, no. Like this feels so person personable and like so us that the magic is just coming alive. Like I've just been so excited all weekend from so soon from my couch, just, you know, sitting there, not moving, just like typing away like all these like little ideas and, and things to make it feel like really us. And you know, we set the after party and there's like some that and I'm just, I literally can't wait. Like we were just talking about it all weekend long and little songs for this and just asking our parents little things that they did and incorporating little things. So I don't want to really, like, say the things.
Ria
You know what I mean?
Fran
Yeah, it's like, you know, certain things are, like, really special to us that I don't really want to, like, say right now. But, yeah, I'm just so excited. Like, I'm like, wow, it's. Now I feel like maybe a lot of people that are getting married in 2025 feel the way that I do, where it's like, you waited until the year hit, and then you're like, oh, okay, it's about to be here now.
Ria
I mean, you're like, we're. It's three months. Ish.
Fran
Yeah. Well, yeah, because end of April, so.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And because my bridal shower is weekend, and then my bachelorette's in February, so it's like, there's something each month, it feels like.
Ria
Yep.
Fran
And, yeah, we're just so excited. I literally can't wait. I'm just like, like. And here's the. Here's the other thing. You know, like, keeping things in. Like, if I, like, I have to stop myself from telling everybody every single idea and, like, little detail that I have on this podcast right now, like, I'm not going to do that, and I should not do that, but I really, really want to, because I feel like I'm just talking with all my friends right now, but I have to keep it in. Like, I just can't do that.
Ria
Yeah. Cause it also, like, you know, not to be dramatic, but, you know, for those of us that will be there.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
I would. Like, I don't want to tell you. Yeah. Like, I don't want to be robbed of that experience, walking into your venue and being like, Right. Oh, my God.
Fran
And that's how I felt with yours. Like, I didn't ask, like, like, details or whatever, because it's like, you want to walk in and feel it.
Ria
You want to be. You want to take it all in.
Fran
Right. And. And that's why I'm stopping myself. And I've even had to stop myself from telling, like, my parents some things or Matt's parents, because I'm like, I don't want to hear. Like, I don't like that idea. You know what I mean? Or. Huh? You know what I mean? Like a. What do you explain that to me? I just want to do it right.
Ria
Especially, like, if you say and you're excited, then they're like, well, right?
Fran
And then it's like, no. Like, I just want to do it. And then they could see it and be like, that's great. That worked out. Good for you guys for thinking of that. And it worked out. Whatever. So, yeah. I am so, so excited.
Ria
Here we go. Kicking off 2025 with a bang.
Fran
Yes.
Ria
Woo.
Fran
Can't wait. Surviving Barstool is back tonight.
Ria
Yes.
Fran
And I'll just say this. It gets crazy. Yeah.
Ria
The last two weeks.
Fran
Yeah. I want to preface that, and this is really for everybody that this whatever's about to happen tonight is crazy. And we're also on like day five and, like, there's like, no sleep happening. Like, I think, like, a lot of that maybe is not shown. That, like now we're going into, like day five here and everyone's losing it a little bit. Everyone's losing it. And I could speak for myself that I really was not sleeping. Like, really not sleep. Like, yeah, I fucking couldn't sleep for the life of me. Like, I would be up, up, up. I'd fall asleep for like, maybe an hour and then I would go into the shower when like, other people were sleeping. Like maybe like four or five. And I would just like, stand in the shower for an hour and then, like, try and like. Cause I just, like, couldn't sleep. Like, all I was thinking about was the game. And also hard to eat too. Like, there was food provided. It wasn't like actual Survivor where they didn't provide us with food, but I literally, like, couldn't fucking get food down into my stomach. Like, just because you're so focused on the game that, like, I'd be walking around with a plate of food just to, like, try and like, take as little bites as possible because I couldn't, like, focus on anything but that. So the, like, this is like, it gets like real reality tv in my opinion. Like, I. I don't know what to expect. Like, I haven't seen the episode, but if I remember.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
The events.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And what's about to happen?
Ria
What's the schedule like this week?
Fran
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Ria
Okay.
Fran
And then next week is Tuesday, Wednesday.
Ria
Thursday, and Thursday is the finale.
Fran
Yes. And what I will say about the episode tonight is that, like, I've never seen what is done on any other show before. Like, you know, like, it's like a. None of us were expecting it because I think they. I think they preview a little bit. They like, previewed at the end, whatever of like, what's happening tonight. Barely. I feel like I watched and was like, I don't think you can understand what's about to happen. Definitely Not. We definitely didn't expect what was gonna happen.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
So, yeah, that's a teaser, I guess.
Ria
Yep. So we'll jump back into that.
Fran
Yeah, jump out. We'll jump back into Surviving Barstool. You can watch that Everywhere. It's on YouTube and whatnot. So, yeah.
Ria
Wonderful.
Fran
Yeah. So it's time to get back into the topics, into the swing of things. Lots to catch up on here. Lots, lots of things happening. We have the Golden Globes Sunday night. We'll talk about that. We're gonna talk about all of the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni updated details, the lawsuits.
Ria
It's like, do we need a whole other episode for that?
Fran
It's insane. It's insane. Armie Hammer went on Tom Segura and Christina P's podcast. We just have to talk about how insane Armie Hammer is. Like, I watched this and I was. I was really fascinated. Sadly, Paige and Craig broken up.
Ria
Yep, yep, yep. Rocked the Bravo world. That news hit me over this break.
Fran
Like, I was like, no, you texted.
Ria
Me like four times, like, all throughout the day after it was. Came out in the morning, like, separate times being like, I'm still thinking about it.
Fran
I'm like, I can't believe this happen. Yeah. Molly Mae and Tommy Fury look like they reunite on New Year's Eve. A little kiss. And Meghan Markle's coming out with a new lifestyle show on Netflix. And then, of course, we have our weekly watch report, which I want to say about the things I watched. So let's get into it. Ria
Oh, just.
Fran
Fabulous job, Nikki.
Ria
Round of applause.
Fran
Fabulous job. And not only did Nikki do such an incredible job. Hilarious. She looked unbelievable, Gorgeous, hot.
Ria
Like, so many good outfit changes.
Fran
So many good dresses.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
The boobs were propped up as well. Like, she was really just rocking it the entire time. And she was hilarious.
Ria
Like, maybe it's really very funny.
Fran
Biased. Because we love Nikki and we know Nikki. But watching that monologue, I was like, wow, that's the first monologue in years that I've really liked.
Ria
Yeah. And I feel like that was universally felt, and maybe that's just, you know, the corner of the Internet that I have curated for myself.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
But I feel like she absolutely crushed it. It felt. I think any time there is the opening monologue for an award show, the audience is a little on the edge of their seats. They don't know which way the host is gonna go, what's gonna happen? And I thought that, like, the room opened up as she continued through her monologue. It was funny. Everybody was laughing. She poked fun in. In a good way. Like, nothing too crazy. Where wouldn't. Like, there wasn't. Sometimes there are monologues where the audience literally is like, ooh, right? And while, yes, maybe the moment was funny, I thought she did a really, really great job. Loved the Adam Sandler, Timothee Chalamet thing I thought was really funny.
Fran
Yeah, that was funny. And I think she prefaced it really well before the Golden Globes even happened, that she was like, it's endearing to be able to laugh at yourself. So if you can't laugh at yourself, then it comes across in a weird way. Whereas, like, you just, like, laugh at everything, then it looks like. Like, if. For instance, with the Diddy jokes. Right?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like, if nobody laughs at that, it's like, okay, what's everyone hiding? Right? It's like. You know what I mean? Like, if you're. If you don't laugh at that, obviously it's awful and, like, whatever. But I feel like the jokes were okay enough for people like, Stanley Tucci.
Ria
Turn it into a Stanley Tucci joke. Yeah, that. That was the perfect person to turn it onto, because you're like, Stanley Tucci, and then you're making jokes about olive oil.
Fran
Like, it's like, it's so harmless with Stanley Tucci.
Ria
Yeah. Yeah. And I thought the. The Chalamet joke was very funny with the, you know, the mustache. Selena Gomez was kind of like, all right, let me hear it. Like, she knew, like, the joke was coming. The Benny Blanco joke. And unfortunately, the joke writes itself. Right. And that's. It's a shot everybody's probably gonna take, and she's used to it.
Fran
Yeah, it's just like, what. Selena Gomez, like, she puts on this, like. And she is this. I'm saying. I'm saying she puts it on, but she is this. Like, it's like, I'm super shy, like, yeah.
Ria
Ah.
Fran
Like, oh, my God. Like, I'm nominated. Like, and. And, like. But everybody else is, like, clapping up us. Like, when. When it went to Catherine Hahn and saying, she's nominated. She's clapping up a storm for herself. She's like, yeah, I'm nominated. Like, everyone's, like, clapping for themselves, like, yeah, I'm nominated. And it gets to Selena Goblin. She's, like, crawling.
Ria
Like, it's like a hole. And everybody really has, Selena, be proud of yourself.
Fran
Like, where's that confidence?
Ria
I really think that that, like, that must be from. I. I can't imagine it would be anything else than other being, like, deeply nervous. Right.
Fran
And I'm just like, let's get that. Because everybody else is clapping for themselves.
Noah
And, like, it's like, imposter syndrome.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
It's possible.
Fran
And she's been blur a ton, so maybe that, like, has something to do with it or. I'm sure it has something to do with it because, like.
Ria
And you're nominated twice. I think it's tough because she was nominated for a performance that was, like, pretty highly criticized as well, so it might be tough for her.
Fran
Right.
Ria
Aspect of, like, imposter syndrome of, like, oh, I got nominated. But, like, people are still shitting on the performance I gave, you know?
Fran
I guess so it's just more just like. I guess it's harder to see it for when it's yourself.
Ria
Totally.
Fran
Like, you're Selena Gomez. Totally.
Ria
Totally.
Fran
Just have a moment where you're proud of yourself, like, for one second, because everybody else is patting themselves on the back of this award show, and, like, you're not usually like that, and it's okay to do it.
Ria
Yeah. She looked beautiful. I love you. Said there was a video of, like, Martin Short, like, fake pulling the. Pulling her ring off her finger. She was. She was showing him at the table.
Fran
Martin Short is so me, and I'm so him. Like, when I watch him, I'm like, like, there was a skit. Did you see what he did with Jimmy Fallon?
Ria
Yes.
Fran
And I was like, we have the same humor.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like, I'm like, me and Martin Short. Like, I am like, yeah. I don't know how to explain it, but I just feel so connected to his humor. I do.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I really do.
Ria
Yep. Yep.
Fran
Him pretending to pull the ring. I'm like, yeah. Classic.
Ria
No, but other. Like, it was a. It was a great show. I think there was some. Some interesting winners, for sure. The Hollywood Foreign Press always comes out of left field sometimes. Like, I think a lot of the Emilia Perez love is. I don't know what the right word is, because it's like, it came. The movie came with mixed reviews. People. People loved it. Absolutely. But there was. There was also, like, a different opinion on it, too. Not just, like, universally thought to be a great movie.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Which is how obviously some of these other movies are looked at. Like, I haven't seen one person say one bad thing about Anora, but, like, that didn't win anything.
Fran
Right. I've heard great things about Anora, so.
Ria
And it's like on the top of everybody's. Everybody's list. Shogun cleaned up. They won a bunch of awards, and so did the actors and actresses, which I thought was great. I loved. Like, it was those awards. The acceptance speeches always crack me up. And he was so happy. One guy, one more. When he won for supporting, he was like, I'm so happy.
Fran
That was the best. I just wanted to keep that. And, like, I'm so happy right now. Like, it was. That was the best speech.
Ria
Yeah, it was. It. It was great. No, no. Jeremy Allen White. He won, but was not there.
Fran
We got to stop giving him the awards.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
He's getting tired of showing up.
Ria
I wonder if he maybe, like, they're filming the Bruce thing right now. Right?
Fran
Like, maybe there's, like, method acting.
Ria
Yeah. He's Bruce.
Fran
He's in character.
Ria
He's actually. He would. If he. He'd have to show up as Bruce Springsteen if. For sure. If that was. If that was the case, Hacks had a big night as well.
Fran
Oh, my God. I couldn't be happier for Hacks because I'm a big Hacks fan, and I feel like every year I'm like, why isn't Hacks winning? And this year, they won. So I'm so happy for Hacks when it comes to Amelia Perez, I haven't seen it. So, like, I can't give an accurate opinion on, like, if I think they should have won these.
Ria
No, I agree.
Fran
I didn't see it when it came to Wicked. Once they won the Box Office Achievement Award, I thought, they're not winning. You get that Box Office Achievement Award because we.
Ria
Yeah. Also, it's like the Box Office Achievement award is like, so bizarre to me because it's like that's not what the award is. If it was a Box Office Achievement Award, the movie that made the most money would win the award. You know, like, that's like. It's just be a purely mathematical thing, the awards. Like, I feel like it's like a social media work. Yeah, exactly. It's like what movie created the most buzz, which is online for them.
Fran
I bet they don't. Like, they're probably happy no matter what, but watching them win that, I was like, they're not winning best Film because.
Ria
No, no, I know. And the Golden Globes is always. It's not as closely matched to, like, what the Oscars end up looking like. You know how sometimes it feels like the same people or movie wins, like, across the board during award season. The Golden Globes is always the one that's normally a little bit different. So we'll see how it goes. And of course, there's the musical comedy and there's the dramas. It's separate. It's separate. And not just one big category. Demi Moore won. Her speech was fantastic for the substance. Because then also, like, I was watching the Golden Globes, I was still in Florida, so my. And my dad was like, the substance. Musical or comedy? Like, he's just. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Fran
Yeah, it's. It's weird when they're thrown into these categories and it's like, well, that doesn't fit into that category. But she did have a great speech because she talked about, you know, she's been an actress for so long now and how people kind of treated her when she first started off. And, you know, she never got an award like this before, so that was really cool to see.
Ria
I love that moment for her.
Fran
That was. That was incredible.
Ria
And seeing the videos of her family at home watching was. Was really sweet. Seeing her daughters and everybody celebrate was. Was really, really awesome at the Golden Globes.
Fran
It does feel like a lot of repeats, like a lot of repeat winners happen. Like, with hacks, it was like, okay, Jean. Smart one. Now, you know, hacks, like, it feels like it pretty much like, matches up like that.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
A lot of times. Which is like, kind of, I think Emilia Perez, the Same situation there. So there wasn't really ones that I.
Noah
Was like, Colin Farrell had a good speed.
Ria
Oh, I, I was very happy that, that Colin Farrell won that for the penguin because he's so good. And honestly, like, the penguin should have had a bigger, like Cristo Miliotti. Miliotti. Miliotti got robbed. I think she should have won that award.
Noah
Who won that award?
Ria
Jodie Foster.
Noah
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Ria
And Jodie Foster's fantastic. But I just feel like that was an unbelievable performance from Kristen Emmy. Yeah.
Fran
And even like baby reindeer winning as a whole.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Over the penguin too.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I feel like was sort of shocking as well.
Ria
Yeah. And I mean, baby reindeer, like still being in the mix was, Was jarring. It's like, when did that show come out? Like, I was like, oh my God, it was February. Yeah.
Fran
It must have crazy because I remember watching it in my old apartment and new apartment.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I feel like I, like, I think it came. I don't know. It's. It was a long time ago though.
Noah
I think of the narrator when someone would win who would talk. It was weird to me.
Ria
There was a couple gimmicks that I could have done without that I felt was kind of weird because either either the person had a really long walk to the stage and there was a lot for him to say or it was super quick and he like scrambled to say the last sentence like really fast before the speech started. And then like the pop up fun facts didn't need that either.
Fran
Unnecessary.
Ria
I'm like, why am I reading this? Like, I want to be like listening to like what these people are saying. I'm reading these fun facts underneath them while they're actually speaking.
Fran
Every time someone from Hacks won, I was like, wow, they really put them at the table where they thought they wouldn't win because it was so far. Like it took them so long to get up to the stage every time.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
What else happened? Oh, Timothy Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.
Ria
Kyla was there again. Date, date for the second year in a row. Looked stunning.
Fran
She looked so gorgeous. So, like understated.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Understatedly beautiful because you know, it's Timothy's night. But she's there, beautiful, next to him.
Ria
Yes. Not really him.
Fran
Not really a lot of attention drawn on them. But she's there in the camera view. Not talked about. But they pose for pictures. There's pictures of them kissing. We posted those on chicks in the office.
Ria
So sweet.
Fran
So sweet. And then on top of that, Zendaya.
Ria
Oh, My God.
Fran
Walking around with a big diamond ring on a ring finger looking like an engagement ring doesn't look like costume jewelry.
Ria
That look like an engagement ring.
Fran
It looks like an engagement ring. A cool engagement ring. Really cool.
Ria
Really cool engagement ring.
Fran
Dumas posted that it's apparently a $200,000 plus ring from a London jeweler, not like her usual jewelry. And there were some videos and pictures where it looks like she may be showing people the ring. So people are kind of freaking out and stuff. And I'm like, I just don't know if we'll ever get that confirmation from them.
Ria
I don't think we will. I don't think, like, if, if, if anything, she's just gonna keep wearing it and we'll just be like, okay. Like, I am so firmly. I mean, everyone knows I fucking love those two. And I'm so firmly in the camp of believing that that was an engagement ring. And she was. She was wearing Bulgaria. The rest of her jewelry was all Bulgari. And they put out a press that, like, that was like, wasn't one of their pieces. So it's like, oh, that's from her. It just, it all, it all lines up for that to have been a holiday proposal. And people were finding the jeweler on Instagram. They were seeing close ups of the ring, the ring saying, there's one picture that I saw in video of it looked like Aya was looking at the ring. And her face is like. She's like. It just seemed like there was moments where she was showing it to people or people were looking at it. I did screenshot this one part, not skinny but not fat, posted on her story. But it's a screenshot from an article in the LA Times by Amie Kaufman and talking about how she was seen with the massive ink diamond. Bvlgari says, you know, that wasn't part of the rest of the jewelry she was wearing. And then also too, she changed outfits and she took off the other jewelry that she was wearing, but the ring was still on that finger when she changed outfits. And then this article says a rep cannot immediately be reached. But as Zendaya exited the ballroom, a recently engaged Times reporter held up her left ring finger and pointed at it. The actor responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz fingers motion. Are you engaged? The Times asked. She kept showing her ring, smiled coyly, and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously. Judge for yourselves.
Fran
Wow. No, I totally.
Ria
She's engaged.
Fran
I totally believe it. Because if you're a Zendaya, you are not wearing a ring that highly resembles an engagement ring on that finger. Because, you know people are going to say that you're engaged. Like, I. I don't think she wears that unless she is. I mean, same thing's happening with Dua Lipa and Callum Turner. We didn't talk about that, but, yeah, people are saying they're engaged.
Ria
She was wearing, like, no confirmation that was like.
Fran
But she's posting up a ton, a ton with the ring and Callum Turner. So I'm like, are they engaged too?
Ria
Right? I don't know.
Fran
But I. I mean, if that is an engagement ring, it's absolutely stunning. Like, it's.
Ria
I just feel like. And everything about, like, Zendaya. I just feel like Zendaya, that she kept the whole rest of the hand, like, clean. Like, there was no other jewelry on her. On. On her left hand. Like, it was just that ring.
Fran
It's gorgeous.
Ria
It's stunning. Absolutely stunning. Yeah.
Fran
I'm in the camp. I'm in the camp of believing that this is an engagement.
Ria
She was my best dressed as well. Really.
Fran
I think she looked gorgeous.
Ria
I loved. There's something about when I love Zoe Saldana as well. There's. There's something about when the. That I just love so much. And maybe it's just. Cause I love, like, a monochrome look, but the dress with the train situation she had, and then also having the stilettos be the same color material as the dress. Like, it just all comes together so perfectly.
Fran
I love her hair, too.
Ria
I thought she looked so beautiful. Zoe Kravitz was also a favorite. A lot of, like, good strapless structure. Everybody looked really pretty. Emma Stone debuted a pixie cut.
Fran
Yes. And I think.
Ria
Which has some people up in arms.
Fran
Well, she filmed a movie where she shaved her head. She filmed another Yorgos.
Ria
Oh, Yorgos. Yeah, Movie. And her head was shaved back.
Fran
So she's just, you know, just the.
Ria
State that she's in.
Fran
And now she's entering a pixie cut. Andrew Garfield. Oh, you fantastic.
Ria
Did you hear me in the room before when you were not in the room yet? I said to the girls, I was like, guys, I have. I've always like, oh, I like Andrew Garfield. He's a handsome guy. I've always thought he was charming. Last night, he put himself on another level.
Fran
He's really winning everybody over. Andrew Garfield was a big.
Ria
He looked fantastic.
Fran
He did. I love the way he was dressed. Andrew Garfield was a big crush for me when the Social Network came out.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I was like, andrew Garfield's mine. Like, that was like, my crush. Like, oh, you. Like, he's my crush. Not your crush. Like, that type of how I felt about Andrew Garfield.
Ria
Like, nobody else was allowed to have.
Fran
Crushed it, and like, nobody else did.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
You know what I mean? Like, when social network.
Ria
No. 1.
Fran
Yeah. Like, it wasn't like anybody was in.
Noah
Competition with probably Armie Hammer.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like, right. Like, people were going for Armie Hammer. I was going for Andrew Garfield. But he's really having a moment. Andrew Garfield, especially, like, online little interview. Like, his person, he's. His personality is really shining these days. It is personality, but his looks and.
Ria
His never look better.
Fran
And that green.
Ria
The green suit. Oh, my God, it was beautiful. The glasses. Something about the glasses.
Fran
So good.
Ria
Threw me for a loop. I was like, oh, my God.
Fran
Speaking of glasses, Glen Powell also looks great. Glenn Powell brought his parents.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I will never get over the fact that him and his mother have the same exact mouth.
Ria
Yep.
Fran
It's like. You know what I mean? It's like. It's like, that is so Glenn Powell's.
Ria
Now that you brought it. Now that you always bring it up. It was the first thing I noticed when I was watching the red carpet, and I saw them talking all together, and I was like, up there. Yep, there it is. There it is. They brought the Glen Powell and Timothy Chalamet lookalike winner contest winners to the Golden Globes. I wonder if they got to meet their. Their person.
Noah
I did see Glenn. Glenn Powell met him.
Ria
Oh, Glenn demeanor.
Noah
She went up to him. Yeah. And I guess Timothy Chamberlain.
Ria
I mean.
Fran
Right.
Ria
Timothy already did because he was there for the contest. But, yeah, I didn't. I didn't see if they had actually had their moment.
Fran
Four of them should have posed for a picture together.
Ria
Seriously.
Noah
So then Glenn Powell's probably like, well, I guess I'll see you on set or whatever. Like, because he promised him that. Right, right.
Fran
I think he promised, like, his family.
Ria
Yes. Like, not him, but if I was.
Fran
The guy, I'd be like, I want. I want to be in it.
Ria
Right, right, right. Well, he raised at the Golden Globes. This just cracks me up, too, because I'm like, how are there names readily available on the Internet that, like, the Globes was able to invite them to their show.
Noah
Confirm, like, you're the winner.
Fran
Right.
Ria
Like, I just. I've never seen anything about these two besides the moment they won the lookalike contest. And then, like, they just show up on the red carpet. The Golden Globes, like, who found you?
Fran
Right.
Ria
And. And sent this to you. We need you to be at the Golden Globes.
Fran
Right. Who got in contact?
Ria
But yeah, it was. Oh, I had my. My worst dress was. Was Kerry Washington.
Fran
I didn't see.
Ria
Oh, I didn't like the. The. Like the hot pink and the black just is. It's hard to pull off. And it's not my favorite.
Fran
And it's not even giving. Limited to. It gives justice.
Ria
And it was Balenciaga, which I'm just like.
Fran
I'm just not a Balenciaga fan. I thought we're over Balenciaga.
Ria
Yeah. Nicole Kidman was in Balenciaga also, which is tough.
Fran
Oh, yeah, that's not. I'm not liking that.
Ria
By the way, I think Ariana Grande must be playing Audrey Hepburn or has some sort of Audrey Hepburn project coming up or something. Like, she's morphing into Audrey Hepburn. The whole tie with the dresses in the gloves. She's in the vintage dress. It looks like. It's like there's a lot of Audrey Hepburn tie ins. She in the ponytail.
Fran
Her hair slowly getting darker.
Ria
Yeah, she posted the picture. She posted a picture. It's like her side profile and then her shadow. And like, the shadow is just like the Audrey Hepburn silhouette. I can't recite all the details about the dress that she was in, but there is, like, a lot of Audrey Hepburn ties to it, so there's gotta be. There just has to be something else going on.
Fran
You know, I didn't even think of that. But look at this.
Ria
With it, with the shadow.
Fran
Yeah, I'm looking now.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Mm. Yeah.
Ria
And the bangs.
Fran
Right.
Ria
It's the whole. The whole look. The whole look she's doing right now.
Fran
Has. Has there been a project announced about an Audrey Hepburn?
Ria
I don't know. I don't think so. In 1966, Givenchy is what she was wearing.
Fran
Biopic. Weren't they saying Lily Collins was gonna play Audrey Hepburn?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Do you remember that?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Oh. Rooney Mara insists Audrey Hepburn biopic is still very much alive. That was in February of 2024. The project's not dead, but Luca Guadagnino is not directing it. So I guess there has been, huh?
Ria
Maybe there's.
Fran
Maybe Rooney Mara was supposed to play. They. They kicked her to the curb. Now, Ayra Grande, maybe he's in talks. But why do I remember Lily Collins being in talks?
Ria
No, I. That might just be because they look alike. Oh.
Fran
It was announced in January 22 that the girl with the Dragon Tattoo, actress Rooney Mara.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Would portray the Breakfast at Tiffany star in Luca Guadagnino's biographical drama.
Ria
Huh.
Fran
Oh. But it was revealed he was no longer involved with the project in October 2023, casting a doubt over the future of the film. However, Mara told Deadline that the movie was still happening. It's not completely dead, so maybe it's just being totally redone and Ariana Grande has been thrown into the mix here.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I wouldn't be surprised.
Ria
I would not be surprised either, because there is a, like, everything. It feels. It feels she's just headed in that direction. Maybe she just finds a ton of inspiration from Audrey Hepburn and.
Fran
And she's also been talking about where she is, but just, like, wanting to get so much more into acting and not going back to, like, touring yet. So. Yeah, maybe that was a little sign. Speaking of Ariana's. Ariana Maddox was on my flight to London, which was so random.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like, I, like, it turned around.
Ria
Yep.
Fran
And Ariana was standing around. I was like, oh, my God.
Ria
Hi, Ariana. Yeah.
Fran
What are you doing here? Like, that's literally what happened. And then I. I was like. I, like, sneakily went over. I was like, oh, my God.
Ria
Hi.
Fran
But I didn't want to, like, draw, like, Right. I don't want to be the person that, like, draws all the attention to her.
Ria
Right. Because everyone in the airport would be.
Fran
What?
Ria
They'd be like, wow, look at that fan talking.
Fran
Well, no, that's fine. But I. I didn't want people to.
Ria
Be, like, I'm saying, once one person.
Fran
Right. And then that.
Ria
It's like that.
Fran
Right. I didn't want to start, like, a floodgate thing for her. And I was like, oh, my God.
Ria
Hi.
Fran
How are you?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And I was like, so random. It was just, like, so random. And then somebody messaged me and was like, did you see our animatics in London? And I responded. I was like, she was actually on my flight.
Ria
She was on your flight?
Fran
She was on my flight.
Ria
Yep.
Fran
It was nice to see her.
Ria
Right. And I hope she had a great trip. Right. Have a great time in London.
Fran
We didn't bump into each other after that. No, she had a great time. Hope she had a great new Year as well.
Ria
But, yeah, that was the Brutalist also one as well. Director Adrian Brody won one for movie. That's apparently quite a long film. Everyone thought that the director was making a pro Justin Baldoni statement in his speech. I don't. I don't know. I just. That's like, I've seen that connection be made on TikTok. I've also seen people be like, guys, he's not talking about. He's not talking like he's talking about his own movie because it's a three and a half hour movie. And I think he was probably told not to have it be a three and a half hour movie. And he still decided to make it a three and a half hour movie. They thought maybe he was just referencing his own journey, but boy, was it. My first thought when it came out of his mouth, my jaw hit the floor. He was like, final cut goes to the director. And I was like, whoa, whoa.
Fran
I had this scene, I thought, oh my God, that was a shot of lively. Matt was like, I didn't even think of that. And I was like, my drama.
Noah
How about when Vin Diesel came up and was like, hey, Dwayne.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
I mean, they like, they really hate each other irl.
Fran
I did not know that.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And Matt was like, wait, Vin Diesel and the Rock hate each other? And I was like, I did not know that.
Ria
Life imitating art. Like the Rock was the bad guy in the Fast and Furious franchise.
Noah
Wanted him to come back and get more movies.
Ria
Yeah. Five, six, seven or something. I think Dwayne did. And then there was like something that happened and he didn't go back. And Vin Diesel was like.
Noah
Vin Diesel made a video at one point on social media, like begging him to come back, right?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Yes. Okay. Now I remember that he just hit.
Ria
Him with a hey, Dwayne.
Fran
Yeah.
Noah
No reaction.
Ria
Yeah, No, I mean, he like kind of smiled. Like, he like chuckled a little. But you're like, oh, I'm not a.
Fran
Huge the Rock guy, but I thought he looked fantastic.
Ria
He. That. That was a lovely color on him.
Fran
No, like a light lilac. The lilac is just fabulous.
Ria
He would have made a beautif bridesmaid at my wedding.
Fran
I had the same thought. Matt was like, what color would you call that? And I was like, oh, it's like Fran's bridesmaid dress.
Ria
Yeah, like that. He would have fit in perfectly.
Fran
Yeah, he did. He. He. He looked great. I thought. I actually thought he was like, best dressed.
Ria
Yeah, he looked, he looked great. I thought he looked very handsome.
Fran
He looked great.
Ria

Fran
But speaking of the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, we should talk. We should get into that. I went to. So they filmed it ends with us in Jersey City.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And Hoboken and the scenes of where the restaurant is Root. Right. That's the name of it is right in this little area in Jersey City that is near my apartment and has like a bunch of cute little great restaurants. Yes. And I totally like kind of forgot about that. And then yesterday I went there to go eat and I was like, oh my God. Back in the area in which they filmed. It ends with us. And it's like all this, everything that's happening right now, which is insane because we went right into break when all this dropped so we couldn't talk about it on the podcast. But so much more, honestly, so much more has happened. So it's like, you know, we can really dive into it now. But first, the first big drop was that Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni for sexual A complaint for sexual harassment amongst many other details in this lawsuit. It was quite detailed. There were many circumstances that were referenced in this lawsuit. Really a lot to take in. Like, there was just a lot to take in with this.
Ria
I, I now see every aspiring lawyer on my for you page that like it's all girls that are like, I, I'm. I'm a lawyer. So here's what I think. And then I'm just. I'm roped in because there's just so many different layers to this. Because it was like, first Blake that files this complaint, which wasn't really, like, her fully suing him, which now has happened.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
But lays out. It's like, 80 pages. Like, I. I went through the whole thing. So many different situations spelled out from Blake's side of things. They allegedly had, you know, they filmed, and then the strike happened. And then when they. Everybody came back, it appeared that there was some sort of meeting where there was, it seemed like just a list of conditions that had to be met in order for production to continue and Blake to stay on with the project. And there was also something in there about Justin not retaliating against Blake. And now that's where, like, this all comes into play, because it's like, well, now her frame was that everything that he did, hiring the crisis PR team, who is the same team that worked for Johnny Depp, was in retaliation and therefore a break of whatever contract they signed. So you read this whole thing. She lists out many different instances of times when she felt he was inappropriate. Inappropriate with her, inappropriate with others. And it's extensive. And it created this conversation of, like, well, why are we not believing Blake Lively? Is it just because people don't like her as a person? Like, they're just like, oh, I kind of think she's bitchy, so therefore I don't believe her. And those two things just don't match.
Fran
Right. And yes, like, they're. They're not separating. People aren't separating the two things. Like, they see interviews of Blake Lively be, you know, kind of rude in an interview, and they're like, well, this must mean that none of what she's saying is true, and that just. Just does not go together. Like, these things could have happened to Blake Lively on the set. And also those interviews. Those past interviews do exist.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Those two things are separate. And people seem to just lump a lot of things together and just, like, label somebody as one thing rather than, like, yeah, there's.
Ria
Sometimes it really makes you go back and think about all the Amber Heard stuff, too. Oh.
Fran
I mean, even at the time, we were saying, like, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were both doing things to each other, but people were only going after Amber Heard, and it was like, what is happening? Like, there's also evidence of Johnny Depp doing things like what?
Ria
But it feels like that's where we kind of are now, too, with the situation is you're. They're just, like, unloading on each other.
Fran
Yeah. And taking.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
You know, the lawsuits out of it for a second and just diving into the job that is like a PR crisis manager or, like a publicist or all of those things. How insane is it. It to, like, see the inner workings of someone's job that it is to, like, take down another person? Like, yeah. Oh, my God. Like, the fact, like, sending these hitman. No, it's quite like seeing the examples of, like, we need something like this. And it's an example of, like, a thread taking down Hailey Bieber. And it's like, you see these things and you're like, holy. Like, this really does happen. And it's really scary. And it, like, there's nothing really you can do to stop it.
Ria
Like, no.
Fran
If someone, you know, wants to go after someone, they have a whole team to make it happen. And it's just the. The inner workings of that sort of job is it, like, opens your mind to it because you're seeing the examples play out like that. When. When I saw the example of the Hailey Bieber thread, I was like, oh, my gosh.
Ria
Like, right, that was Justin who sent that himself, being like, this is what we need.
Fran
And you.
Ria
And sometimes you live in a buzzfeed article like, here's all the examples of Hailey Bieber being, like, a bully in.
Fran
The past, and he's like, this is what we need. And it's like, you. You kind of live your life, or at least I think a lot of us do. Like, naive world. Like, you think, like, these just things, they happen organically and people just, like, find people to go after, blah, blah, blah. But, like, a lot of times there's. There's literal people whose jobs it is to orchestrate that kind of thing.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And it's just hard to wrap your head around.
Ria
It's absolutely. And I think, like, I don't know, it's. This has just opened up such another massive can of worms. Right. And it felt like we were at the point where this was dying down. And I can't imagine, like, it really felt like Blake had lost in the court of public opinion already. And that's kind of what, like, Baldoni's team has sort of said is like, oh, we didn't really have to do anything. It's just like it happened on its own. But I just can't imagine Blake going to these lengths and bring it all back up again without really having these moments. And I just. Right now, I feel like these two are fighting different battles because everything Blake filed in. The complaint was written in a massive New York Times article, and that took us all by storm right before Christmas. And then Baldoni now was literally New Year's Eve. He filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times. And since then, Blake has now also filed in the Southern District of New York against Baldoni. I think maybe the PR team, like the crisis PR management team. I'm. But Baldoni being named in that, too. Now there is another full 80 plus page document from Baldoni's side of things, of where, you know, he's saying he did try and get Blake to meet with an intimacy coordinator. And there are screenshots of texts of her being like, I'm good. I'll meet her, you know, when I'm. When I'm on set. Or an example of a text of her saying, like, yeah, come buy my trailer, I'm pumping, or whatever. I also think, like, there's such a level of vulnerability of being a new mom. She had just had her fourth child, and there's a difference between pumping and breastfeeding and, like, having. If she's saying, he's coming into the trailer, she's breastfeeding, she's saying, oh, like, they're like, oh, that. Those. Those things don't mean the same thing.
Fran
And it's also, like, if she was okay with it one time doesn't mean she's okay with it every single time.
Ria
Like.
Fran
Like her being like, hey, you can come, whatever, right? But that doesn't mean an open invite for you to walk into the trailer whenever you so please.
Ria
And a lot of examples, a lot of texts, a lot of screenshots of what appears to be Justin going back and forth with certain editors of Blake taking over the movie and editing decisions. And we all know that there was a cut that was made by Blake, a cut that was made by Justin. And it felt like the editors were really sympathetic toward Justin of, like, oh, my God, you know, can't believe this is happening. And. And all these things. And he looked like he was pushed out at the premiere. He wasn't supposed to be at the premiere at the same time as her. And there's all these. These exchanges. There's also examples of Blake allegedly really taking over the costume department and making those final decisions for costumes and outfits. And, you know, there was an example of the beanie and her saying, like, that's something she would look at, trying to, like, counteract when he was talking about sexy outfits or whatever. I just feel like right now, now they Are fighting different battles. Like, Blake Lively has listed all these incidents on set of him being extremely inappropriate while they are filming. He's the director. Complaints were made. Nothing was resolved. She says this whole meeting happened. He. He. His team is like, we don't know what this is. We don't even like this document. We don't. He says there was a meeting that allegedly Ryan Reynolds ripped into him. And he says that there were other executives there that afterwards were, like, texting him. Like, I've never seen anything happen like that before. Like, all these things about. About Ryan Reynolds. And this was after the potential fat shaming comment, we all know of him. Justin texting Blake's trainer, asking how much he weighs because of a scene so. And so that he was supposed to lift her. And I just feel like they're interpreting things in different ways. Incidents in different ways. But Blake is arguing about all these things happening on set while they are filming. Justin is arguing Blake steamrolled him and took over the movie.
Fran
Right.
Ria
Those are two different fights, for sure. Right. Like, you know, there. It's. I don't. Like the back and forth is like, there's just. One doesn't negate the other. Like, Justin could have behaved that way with Blake on set, and Blake also could have steamrolled the editing and taking over the movie.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
And one doesn't, like, negate the other for sure. So it's just. I don't know. I'm very. I really don't know where this is gonna go. They want, like, a trial.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
The fact they want to release, like, every piece, every text, every correspondence, like, everything they want.
Fran
Right.
Ria
And. And I'm sure it's because if you're. If you're on Justin's team right now, he. He got dropped by wma. I think that he's already won in the court of public opinion when this all happened first. So I'm. I'm sure in their mind, they're like, all right, let's hash it all out. Let's put it all on the table. And if we have these instances that we can lay out and just put it out there. Public knowledge of Blake making these decisions or going over Justin's head and doing all these things that will make people not like Blake and therefore they won't care about what she said.
Fran
Right. And I think that's sort of what's happening already and kind of the way the world thinks a lot of times. And you already talked about it in the beginning of. Of this conversation where it's like, when Someone makes their mind up about somebody. It. Like, sometimes it can't be changed. Like, no matter. Like, they. They've decided. People have decided they don't like Blake Lively. So even if she felt like things were inappropriate and she was uncomfortable, people are like, oh, okay, well, you know what? Well, she's. She's doing this, and she steamrolled the project. It's like, well, how does that make any of the other stuff? Okay. Like, sometimes people lack the ability to, like, see other sides of things even when they don't like somebody. So that seems what's. What's happening right now.
Ria
But it really feels like they're ready to lay everything out there and be like, now, because it's really. It is now just a. It's a PR battle. Like, I know they have taken it now through the legal system and everything, but, like, they are fighting so hard to save their reputations.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
It feels like at this point.
Fran
Right. And I just feel like if, like, Blake was pretty. You know, it was pretty silent for a little bit.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
You know, it was pretty quiet.
Ria
And that's what I'm saying. It's clearly to bring it up again.
Fran
For her to bring it up again. It was. She clearly was uncomfortable because she was silent and then released this, and it was like, okay, well, she had been waiting for the moment to, you know, make it clear how she felt, and.
Ria
The support was there for her. I mean, past co stars from the movie Jenny Slate had said something. Colleen Hoover, which, you know, however you feel about Colleen Hoover is firmly. Seems to be with Blake. Her sister are the Traveling Pants Sisters.
Fran
Yeah, All.
Ria
All said something together. I've seen a lot of people also say no. They're. They're. Colleen Hoover's with Blake because they're fighting so hard. They want to make the second. The second book into a movie. I'm like, in what world do they want to make the second book into a movie after everything that happened happened. They're not touching this again.
Fran
Never.
Ria
Why? I can't. And then truly, like, I will do a complete 180. Like, if Blake Lively is like, I still want to do this movie, like, then maybe she's lost me. Because why would you want to.
Fran
Why? No, there's no way.
Ria
And Ryle's still in the second book.
Fran
What are you.
Ria
What, are you gonna recast him? Like, what?
Fran
There's no way. There's a.000 0.000.
Ria
They just write him out of the story completely? No, but it's just not.
Fran
That's not happening. No, it's just not happening.
Ria
It's really. That just could not be for.
Fran
And then it was worth it at all. There was some, like, Justin Baldoni's like, response or defense was that, like, he's just a weird guy, you know, like. Well, like, yeah, like talking to Blake's dead father. And then it was like, like the response. It was like, would he do this? No. Would he do this? No. Would he tell Blake that he talked to her dead father? Yes.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And it's like, like, what?
Ria
No. Yeah, look, I, I. Yeah, I think that there's a bunch of instances where they may just. They have. No, these people are like, Blake and, And Justin Baldoni are. Are oil and vinegar. Like, they. They do. They live in different. Like, they don't mix. And like, the example of the producer, he was also named a lot. I'm forgetting his name at the moment, but he also runs the studio that. With Justin. And in Blake's complaint, it was an instance of they're working on the birth scene in the movie, and he shows her a video of his wife giving birth. Like, fully open giving birth and a home birthday. And if you're not comfortable seeing that, like, that's like, whoa, like, okay, no, no, thank you.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
And like, on their side of it, it's like, we. She was shown a beautiful video of a child being brought into the world. And it's like, okay, like, you guys are looking at these things. You have two completely different opinions on what this. Like, maybe the people in your world love seeing a video of a woman giving birth. And really, you're just honoring that experience. And then there's people out there that are like, hey, man, I don't know your wife. I don't really want to see your wife like this for sure. Showing this to me without me asking. I don't want to see this.
Fran
Right, right. That's what it seems like. They just have different outlooks on maybe life things where it's like, there's some people that are going to be like, yeah, show me a video of his wife giving birth and she was. Is naked and whatever. And like, you don't really think twice about. Or there's going to be people who are like, I really did not ask to see that, and I'm uncomfortable that they showed me that. Yeah.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
So this is going to be an ongoing battle. It's going to be not. And there's always. And there's going to be stuff that comes out about both that you're gonna go, huh? Oh, you know what I mean? Like, it's gonna be like a. Well, they have a point there. They have a point there. It's. That's sort of what it feels like from the outside looking in. But I do think people just tend to discredit people that they don't like rather than listening to. If they feel uncomfortable, then they felt uncomfortable, and that's their experience. And just because you don't like Blake Lively because of all these things now, you know.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Doesn't take away her experience completely.
Ria
Like, just because there are interview, like, you see interviews where she seems kind of. It's like, okay, so she's. Maybe she's just kind of bitchy. Everyone's got a bitchy friend, and you still love them because, you know, you. You know, they're their heart and soul. And. But on the exterior, sometimes they're like, damn, she kind of got, like a bitch.
Fran
That was a little bitch.
Ria
And you're like, yeah, but she's our bitch.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
And that's just like. That's just. I just feel like Blake Lively's friends think about her. Like, I don't. And. And it just doesn't. I cannot. It does not negate what she's saying. You can't be like, oh, well, look at what she said to that interviewer. And then. And then read what she said and be like, well, she's probably lying. How. What?
Fran
For sure. For sure. So, yeah.
Ria
But no, this is gonna be. Is gonna be dragged on for a while now with the whole legal system involved. I don't really know what the next steps are, but I. We saw what. We saw that they want a jury trial. Baldoni wants a jury trial. And so I. It's just. We'll see. Blake and Ryan were not at the Golden Globes. They did not. Deadpool and Wolverine obviously was nominated in that. In the box office achievement category, but they were not there. So I'm assuming they will probably be laying low. For sure.
Fran
For sure. It's going to get. It's only going to get more wild, I assume. Yeah. Moving on. Armie Hammer is on this little, like, comeback tour in his brain of. You know, he has his own podcast. He's going on Other People Hammer, come.
Ria
Back to our party of one.
Fran
Yes. Of a party of Armie Hammer.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And he has his own podcast, and he's going on other people's shows. And Friday night, when everyone was at our apartment, we were, like, going through YouTube, like, oh, let's watch some, like, YouTube, funny YouTube videos. And it popped up that Armie Hammer went on Tom Square and Christina P's podcast. And I was like, I gotta watch this. I was like, guys, we gotta watch this. Armie Hammer's on Tom Square's podcast. What? I don't have, like, the correct words to describe Armie Hammer. I don't, because I am.
Ria
He's a freak.
Fran
He is the freakiest of freaks that could exist. And, like, not. And like, I'm fascinated by him. Armie Hammer. And like, not in a great way. Like, I'm not like, oh, my God, I love Army Hammer. It's like, no, it's not.
Ria
It's not an admiration.
Fran
No, it's not admiration.
Ria
For you are a bizarrely wild human.
Fran
Being that I need to hear more from you because you are so bizarre in my brain that I want to hear all of your thoughts. The things that he was saying. The mask of Armie Hammer has been dropped. That has been clear. Like, Armie Hammer, he has made it clear.
Ria
That's part of the comeback.
Fran
That's part of his whole thing now is that he said he was owning his case, owning his freak. And he said that he was living basically this lie of, like, this, you know, cookie cutter home with his wife and his kids and this buttoned up guy. And I'm Armie Hammer, and I'm all. I'm this all American family in this guy. And he said that that would literally eat him alive because, you know, no pun intended, but it would literally eat him alive because that is just truly not who he is or was at all.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And let me tell you, that is abundantly clear that that is not who Armie Hammer is. He has dropped the facade.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Of this fake Army Hammer, and he has become. He has become truly himself.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And this man, he loves being a freak. He loves, like, telling people he wants to cut their toes off and keep walk around in the pocket. Like, this is how he shows his affection and his kinks and his sexual desire and his sexuality. And he feels as though, you know, he shouldn't be ashamed of it. And, you know, people shouldn't be ashamed of their kinks. People have kinks and they shouldn't be ashamed of it. But in the way that Armie Hammer.
Ria
Army Hammer crossed the line. And, you know, the problem that I.
Fran
Have with Armie Hammer is that I don't know if they're just kinks. Like, watching him, I'm like. I think, like, I feel like Armie Hammer is this like 24 7, you know, like, it's not just in the Bedroom. It's not just like. Like, I just think Armie Hammer, 24 7, is this. I don't even know.
Ria
And, like, the look in his eyes has. Has changed.
Fran
Yeah. Yes. There is a. There is a look in his eyes that you're like, what is behind that person? And he kind of talked about, you know, the instances in which, like, consent and stuff. Like, if it's not. And he said this himself. He said, if it's not a fuck yes, it's a hell no. So that's. Yes. Like, that is true. Army. But he said those exact words. And he was like, I've learned, like, with consent, if it's not a yes, it's a hell no.
Ria
Right?
Fran
Because the things.
Ria
Well, that's because of what happened.
Fran
That's because of what happened. And the things. And the things he's doing and asking, you know, and now he's learned. Like, you know, he was just. He was like, I was paying. He was like, I was playing fast and loose. Like, the way that he, like, describes what he was doing and, like, saying, I'm like, what? Like, he.
Ria
Like, he's talking about how he would.
Fran
Just DM whoever, and he would Snapchat whoever, and he didn't care, and he was just saying things and doing things.
Ria
It's like he wanted to be.
Fran
That's what he says. He said that he was like, I kind of like. He said there was a time where he was liking a lot of, like, BDSM stuff on Twitter and, like, Bondage and, like, all of that. And, like, people started tweeting, like, does Armie Hammer, like, know that we could see his likes? And he was like, I'd be on my phone, like, huh. I know. Like, he was like. I was like, the way that he describes it, like, he's so open that it's fascinating, you know, and he's basically like, I. He doesn't feel like he should be ashamed of any of this. And, yeah, he was like, no, I was liking these things on Twitter. I knew people could see my likes, and I was like, this is who I am. Like, I kind of want to get caught. And, you know, I think he ended up in situations where he wasn't totally. Like, the consent maybe, like, wasn't totally there, and he was just doing things. And the, you know, girls ended up feeling uncomfortable.
Ria
It was an awful experience.
Fran
Yeah, they did. And. And they ended up feeling very uncomfortable with army. And he. And he's. This is him talking about it himself. He's like, you know, I would. I would get with a girl. And it would be, like, a whirlwind for, like, a month and a half. And I would do everything with them. We'd be hanging out, be great. And then I dumped them to the side. A month and a half in, I'd go on to the next one. Like, this is.
Noah
And he was, like, openly acknowledging.
Ria
All while married.
Noah
Yeah.
Fran
Yeah.
Noah
But he was acknowledging, like, yeah, Like, I get why they'd be pissed. Like, I just. Just toss them aside after they thought, like, this was their whole life.
Fran
And the way he's talking about. He's like, saying with a smile. That's what. That's what I'm saying.
Ria
It's like, no. Yeah.
Fran
The character in which he. Like, not the character. The person who he is is like, he's not talking about these things being.
Ria
Like, no, because you. You're. You're listening him, and you're like, are you a serial killer?
Fran
Yes. Yes. That is how I'm watching it. Because it's not watching someone who's, like, sheepishly being like, yeah, I did these things. And honestly, like, I've had to. I've come to. And I gone to therapy, and I've realized, like, man, the way I was treating these women is just not right. And, like, I need to figure out a different way to explore these kinks that I have. Like, that's not the vibe from Army Hammer.
Ria
No, no.
Fran
The vibe from Armie Hammer is like.
Ria
He's like, yeah, toss them to the side.
Fran
And, you know, I want to chop off their toes and keep them in my pocket. And, like.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And then he's talking about, like. And, like, Tom Segura and Christina P. They're married, and they're, like, having their little banter, husband and wife. And, like, Christina P. Makes a joke to Tom, like, I'd let you bang her about like somebody else, and she's joking.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And Armie Hammer's like, this is what I want. This is the kind of love that I aspire to have in you. And, like, you know, Christina and Tom are joking, but, you know, army is not serious.
Ria
Like, he's dead serious.
Fran
And then, like, you could tell he's, like, trying to be, like, cool, like, because he hits Tom Segura with, like, a. That's gay, bro. Like, one of those jokes. And I'm like, armie Hammer is, like, trying to, like, fit in.
Ria
He's like, still. It's. It's. I don't. There's so many bizarre layers to Armie Hammer where. Where, like, there's that. And then sometimes you're like, okay, why are you still, like, a 2010 frat bro?
Fran
Yes.
Ria
Yes.
Fran
That's how he was talking. Like, yeah. I was like, oh, my God. Like, he's trying so hard to, like, come across cool right now, and it's. It's alarming. Like, I can't look away. Like, I need more podcasts. Barbie Hammer. Because I'm so fascinated by this, like, what I believe to be, like, kind of an evil person. Like, and I'm not like, someone who was kinks. Like, that's not it. Like, that's not evil. I don't think that. Like, take that aside, the way that he talks and the. And the look behind those eyes.
Ria
Yeah. Yeah.
Fran
I'm like, that's a fucking freak in more ways than one. Like, he's not just a freak in the sheets. He's a freak in general. And there's lots to be uncovered with that man. And I can't even think, like, no. What else was he saying?
Ria
It was just like.
Fran
It was just not just, like, everything out of his mouth.
Ria
Yeah.
Noah
And it's such as, like, the cadence of everything. And his eyes, like, you can just tell. I don't know.
Ria
Like, it's just.
Fran
I don't know. He's working again.
Noah
He said he's turning down jobs.
Fran
Yeah. He was a guy. He's like, I'm getting so many offers and turning down jobs.
Noah
He doesn't have an agent.
Fran
Yeah, he doesn't have an agent.
Ria
That's what people say when they are getting no offers.
Fran
Like, he's like, where did he say he was?
Noah
He said he got his first job because someone dmed like, his friend.
Ria
Like, yeah, but it was like, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's like. Like, you're like, if there's no buzz, I'll create the buzz. That's tactic number one. That's what he's like. Of being like, oh, no. Oh, my God. I got so many. I'm turned. I'm swatting them down. I'm turning them all down. You know?
Fran
He was like, I got a TV show offer that the head of the network signed off on me. He's like, they signed off on me. People are seeing that I was shamed for my kinks, like, army. That's not what happened. Like, you crossed the line with a lot of women who felt uncomfortable, and that's what happened. Like, it wasn't that people found out that you were a kinky guy and, like, were like, we're done with Armie Hammer. He's too kinky.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
It was like, girls were made to feel really uncomfortable by you. So. Yeah. Oh, and then he talked about, like, Tom Segura was like. I mean, I have to ask. Like, obviously, you know, there's other. There's women who are into, like, what you're into. Were you getting, like, a lot of messages? Like, and he was like, oh, my God.
Ria
That is.
Fran
He was like, my DMs were filled. He was like, I want you to eat me.
Noah
He basically said, like. Like, he had to give his accounts to someone else be. Only because, like, he can't really trust women anymore because of what's happened. Like, kind of making it seem like it's on.
Ria
It's their fault. Like, I don't want to, like, engage.
Noah
In this now because who. Like, what?
Ria
Yeah, he knows what they'll say about.
Fran
Yeah, yeah.
Ria
He's such a piece of.
Fran
No, he is. He was like. He was like, I. He's like, you know, I don't know who I can trust these days. You know, I thought they were in, and I guess they're not. Like. And then. And then he was like. Like, he was like. He said to himself, have I learned nothing? Because he was gonna start responding to the women that were like, yeah, eat me. I want. I want you to eat me. Like. Like, he was like, I. I had to say to myself, if I learned nothing, like, there's just so many. Like, I was cracking up watching this because I'm like, oh, my God. Like, he thinks everything he's saying is, like, totally normal. Because you have Tom Squirrel and Christina like, nodding their heads, and then Christina giving a little, like, look ever so often. Like. Like. Like, do you realize what you're saying right now? Like, it was. It was a fascinating watch. Like, I would actually recommend people watch it because I'm like, oh, army has owned army now. Like, the ma. I'm. I'm watching this going, oh, my God, he's kids. Like, I forgot that he was married with children. Like, watching this.
Ria
Like, he has children.
Fran
He has children that are going to watch these things.
Ria
And he was like, he's on record on camera.
Fran
And for him, like, what.
Noah
What.
Fran
What it seems like he took away from this was that he just felt like people, like, were saying that he was accountable. Like, he just kept going back to that point being, like, right. And people just took it as, like, army Hammer. Hammer's accountable. Everyone thinks I'm accountable. It's like, Right.
Ria
It's easy to pick the most extreme thing it's like, yes, we all thought.
Fran
You were maybe accountable, but, like, we. Everyone read about how uncomfortable you made these women. Like, that's really, you know, what everyone got really upset about. And then he talked about eating a deer's heart. Because, remember that story went around that he, like, ate a pig's heart.
Ria
Yes.
Fran
And then he was like. He was like, no, that would be disgusting. It was a deer's heart. And he was like. He literally ate because he said, like, hunting culture, I guess. He's from Texas.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
It's like when you get your first kill.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
You eat the heart.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like, your first kill. Which is not something I'm on board with.
Ria
No.
Noah
He's also like, it wasn't the whole heart. I just, like, took a nibble.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And they were like.
Ria
I think I've seen that, like, in a movie or something before.
Fran
And he, like, ate, and he was like. They were like, how was it? He was like.
Ria
It was really tough.
Fran
Like. Like. Like talking about, like, the chewing of it. Like, it was genuinely really something else. Really, really something else from Armie Hammer. So.
Ria
What a guy.
Fran
Truly. What a guy. He's, like, had. Has an apartment in New York City, I guess, and has a podcast, and I think he thinks podcasting and not to, like, take a shot at us because we are podcasters, but, like, he's, like, podcasting. You know what I mean? Like, he's like, yeah, he.
Ria
He just, like, he just found podcasts. Yeah.
Fran
He's like, podcasting.
Ria
He's like, this is like.
Fran
Yeah, like. Like, the way that he's talking to.
Noah
Tom is like, he was kind of starstruck.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Being on that podcast was like, you know. Yeah. And then he talked about being on somebody else's podcast right before that, and I don't know whose podcast he did, but he was like, yeah, not my kind of guy. He was pressing me heavy. He's just not my kind of guy. And I was like, he thought that, like, I could imagine. When Armie Hammer left their house, Tom and Christina were like, what the.
Ria
What the was that? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fran
But he thinks that they're like, what a cool fucking guy.
Ria
Right, Right. For sure. For sure.
Fran
Like, oh, my gosh. I. I could talk. I. I could talk about this for hours. Because it. You have to watch it, friend.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Noah
I think open seat right there. Army.
Fran
No, I. Well, then I started turning to Noah, and I was like, it's gonna be a no. I want him on this show so bad.
Ria
Oh, my God. I genuinely.
Fran
Because you could ask him anything and he'll like. He says things and he doesn't even realize what he's saying is wrong. Yeah, he just like, like incriminating himself at everything he says. It's like what? What? Yeah, he's no good. Army hammer is no good. No good. If you are looking for the way to a healthy scalp, then look at whey. Yes, that's spelled O u a I and you get to the root of healthy hair with hair goals with ways scalp care that will get your strands looking stronger, fuller and healthier. Also love the body scrubs, the body creams, the thick hair and conditioner, the scalp scrub. I absolutely love when I'm you know, doing a lot of slick back looks, putting a lot of the, you know, products in my hair. Can use the scalp scrub, the shampoo to get it all out Detox. There's also a scalp serum and it balances and hydrates the scalp 100 sought thicker, fuller looking strands after using the scalp serum. So if you're looking for that hair journey in 2025, look at whey. This daily scalp serum can be used day or night with wet or dry hair. Paige and Craig. And now we're fools because battle. You know, two weeks or so ago, three weeks ago, we were on this podcast talking about the summer house trailer going no, we know they're good. And then we like literally put out a video being like, no, we know Paige and Craig are good. Like they're still together. We didn't know.
Ria
No. And you know what's so funny is there and like anytime that there are rumors about them and there's been a like it was either breakup or engagement. Like though those were the rumors like the last like couple months.
Fran
Tmz, no one's gonna stop us. I was gonna wait to 10 minutes ago. TMZ has reported that Zendaya and Tom are officially engaged.
Ria
Oh fuck yeah.
Fran
I mean this incredible news. I Got chills.
Ria
Oh, my God. I'm looking at her own Instagram right now.
Fran
Chicks in the Office reported Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged.
Ria
Oh, my.
Fran
TMZ has reported they're officially engaged. Congrats.
Ria
Ugh.
Fran
Wow. That's huge. Huge.
Ria
That's a win.
Fran
That really is. That's a win. That's a win. We need lovers everywhere. That is a huge win.
Ria
We needed that. Sources close to the couple tell TMZ the Spider man star popped the question between Christmas and New Year's, dropping to one knee in a very intimate setting in one of Zendaya's family homes in the U.S. we're told Tom didn't make a huge show of the engagement. It wasn't a big, over the top proposal, and said it was very romantic and intimate. Our sources say the family wasn't there. It was just a sweet moment between Tom and Zendaya. Zendaya showed off her massive engagement ring Sunday at the Golden Globes.
Fran
Oh, that is so sweet. That is so sweet. Lovers rejoice everywhere. God. Congratulations.
Ria
You know, sometimes you do, and we have the other side of it. Cause we're talking about Craig and Paige breaking up, but, you know, you just get attached.
Fran
You do. You get attached. You get attached.
Ria
And whether that's right or wrong, because I. I did listen to the giggly squad episode, and they're like, you know, we're people. Like, it's. Breakups happen. Like, it's like, you know, life. The earth keeps spinning.
Fran
Right.
Ria
For spinning. Like, it's like, you know, don't be going on the Internet being like, oh, my God, love's dead. Like, you know, it's like, yeah, I get. I understand.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
100. Totally get it. But when love wins, you could sell. I'll take the win for sure.
Fran
You celebrate love. I'll take somebody breaks up, you can move along.
Ria
Yeah, yeah.
Fran
And I think for Craig and Paige, you know, we know them in real life and we love them as a couple, but we love them both separately as well. And they. They did what they feel like it is best for them. And you can't stop anybody from doing that. And I think, you know, there's been so much conversation about. About Paige and Craig and especially towards Paige after this breakup.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Which is so ridiculous and such.
Ria
And once again, it's always.
Fran
It's always the one. It's always the woman's fault. No, it's like Paige is so incredible, hilarious, like, really thriving and having her full moment right now. Like. Like, I'm a Paige desorbo Stan, like, I see Paige and I'm like, I, I'm like clapping and whooping it up and applauding for her like every moment of her life right now because she is truly crushing it. Giggly Squad has been absolutely crushing it. All of their shows, their podcast, like they have, they're.
Ria
They're about to do sold out shows at Radio City. It's incredible.
Fran
Be so incredibly proud of themselves. I love them both Paige and Hannah, like, what they've built is so incredible. And if Paige, you know, and Craig didn't feel like this relationship was fulfilling them either more or knew that it wasn't going to become anything more in the future, then that's their right. And that is very mature completely. And the adult decision to make is to end that relationship if you feel like there is no more room for it. Like, if you, you know what I mean? Like you. They probably both know and made that decision based on how they both feel. So it's.
Ria
Yeah, it's, it's unfortunate because I do really fall. I do think that like the whole trope of right person, wrong time, like, is very much a thing and they are great, but like one 100%, I think from solely from what we've seen, like this is based not, you know, solely based on the shows they're on and all these things. From that viewpoint, it has felt like a lot of the same conversations are still being had. What, you know, it appear, I mean, Craig on this last episode's other charms, talking about freezing his sperm. Like they're in, they're clearly in different places and neither of them should have to compromise for sure that if that's really where they are and what they want. And I'm guessing that that's kind of the conversation that they had because it's like Craig, I think he wants these things sooner rather than later. He doesn't want to keep waiting. That's so fine. And Paige, like we said, thriving right now. They just. Giggly Squad took over the world this past year.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Like, they are doing so well. She's prioritizing that right now. And that is so fair. And she should be allowed to do that. I think sometimes you also, like, people vilify women for that too because they're like, oh, what? Like, like what? Quake? He wants to get married and have kids. Like, why, why doesn't she want that? It's like not every, that's not every woman's dream.
Fran
No.
Ria
Like it's, it's so. I think she was getting wrongfully criticized. There's weird, like, weird TikTok rumors, and, yeah, she's out with this guy and blah, blah, blah. And it's like, all right, everybody calm down. Like, why. Why do we have to turn this into some big drama when that's she. Like, we. All we have to do is take Paige for a word. She's literally going on her own show, talking about it to her listeners and being like, like, we're good. Like, I will always have love for Craig, and this was what happened. And, like, now it's. Now we're moving on. But, like, don't try and make some big thing out of editing because you want the drama to be there, but.
Fran
People want drama, and they make things out of nothing. And honestly, it's like, people have to remember, for literally anybody that, you know, podcast, celebrity, whatever it is, when someone talks about a breakup, you're not. You don't know every detail that happened. Like, people are like, well, she said this. And it's like, well, you don't know. Like, you also don't know exactly what happened. You don't. And. And then that's where the spec comes in, is that people like, well, then this could have happened. Or this could happen. It's like, all right, well, let's just take what she said.
Ria
Yep, we'll.
Fran
That's it. And, like, move along. They broke up. And. And, yeah, everyone loved them together as a couple, including us. And we love watching them on our TV screens. But unfortunately for them as people, it's not the best thing anymore, and that's all right. And the people coming for Paige are absolutely ridiculous. Just, like, so, so, so ridiculous. It's insane.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
But I do see a lot of people also, you know, applauding Paige and the both of them for recognizing that they shouldn't be in this relationship anymore and going through with that, because that's the mature decision to make, instead of, like, dragging on a relationship that ultimately ends, and then you start resenting people, and then it's, you know, whatever. But so, you know, I hope the best for the both of them, and I think Paige will continue to thrive and Craig will continue to thrive, and hopefully they can stay on peaceful terms.
Ria
Exactly.
Fran
Because they do, you know, revolve in the same universe.
Ria
But I do think it was such a great relationship for both of them, even just in the sense of, like, personal growth. And Paige did mention that, for sure, talking about it as well. And Hannah did. Hannah did, too. You know, I just feel like he was a great boyfriend in that sense.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Which is. Which is so great, because it's just like, there is that the relationship means something, and it helped them both individually. And it's. You know, people felt the same way about Craig. They're like, oh, Craig, look what. Look how great Craig is doing. I feel like Paige has had so much to do with that. And they'll still be able to keep those things with them.
Fran
Right.
Ria
As they. As they continue on separately.
Fran
And Craig even would say that Paige helped him a lot. So it's like, you can't take that away from either one of them. But, yeah, that. That news actually did shock me.
Ria
No, like, I was sad.
Fran
We were sad, and I was completely shocked. I was like, what?
Ria
Yeah. Yeah.
Fran
You know, because you text me, like, did you see? And I was like, what? I was like, huh? I was. I was thrown off.
Ria
Well, but also always. I. This is what I was actually saying before with the TMZ thing. I. I always crack up because I will. Like, I will often get. Friends text me and be like, oh, my God, like, what's the deal? Like, what happened? And I'm like, I don't know. I'm like, I love Paige and Craig, but you think I'm about to text Paige and be like, oh, my God. Saw the news. Like, what happened?
Noah
It's like, that's how I felt when I saw the news. I was like. But re. And friends said they were fine people texting me, too.
Fran
And I'm like, I don't know what happened. Like, I found out with you. Like, it's not. I don't think they were. You know what I mean?
Ria
Exactly. Exactly. So that does always, always make me laugh. But no, I mean, love them both. And it's, you know, sad. But they will continue to be amazing.
Fran
They will both be okay, and they will continue doing their thing. But yes, on the other side of that, Tommy Fury and Molly Mae look like they had a little reconnection New Year's Eve. A little New Year's Eve kiss. We do know that Molly Mae's documentary is coming out soon on prime, in which I think they were gonna show the background of the split between Tommy and Molly Mae. So now I'm confused. You know, it's.
Ria
Right.
Fran
This documentary is gonna. Maybe it's like the. The Beyonce and Jay Z thing, where Beyonce was like, I'm gonna release this album, Lemonade, about you and how you cheated and how you're a piece of shit, but I'm gonna stay with you. Like me, you know, like, that could, you know, maybe something like that, hey, we're gonna put out this prime video documentary. Everyone's gonna see that you're a piece of to me. And then we're gonna get back together and you're gonna hopefully change.
Ria
Yeah, there's just like, there's so much the. The head. Like the tabloid headlines are all over the place. All over the place. Some of them like most of it's, you know, Daily Mail, the Sun, all things like that. But you know, Molly May and Tommy Fury spotted kissing. Oh, this article says that they're. That the. The documentary could be in chaos after the sneaky kiss. Molly May not ready to rekindle Tommy Fury romance despite New Year's Eve kiss. That's on Yahoo. Yahoo Life. So I don't know. We don't really. All we know is like that there was, you know, a video of a New Year's Eve kiss. And hey, sometimes you're at the New.
Fran
Year's Eve party, the New Year's Eve bash.
Ria
There he is. It's midnight.
Fran
You're like, ah, you have a child together.
Ria
Give me a smooch, you know, Happy New Year.
Fran
Happy New Year.
Ria
I don't know. But the Daily Mail did write that there are reports that they have now rekindled their romance. A source has told the sun that the boxer stayed the night in Molly Mae's house earlier in the day. On Saturday, the pair are said to have gone to the cinema to watch Nosferatu before Tommy was seen leaving Molly May's home on Sunday wearing the same clothes. Looks like Tommy stayed the night. Yeah, that's what back in on the last week, Tommy, Molly May were seen at the party that they were at. Well, like here I want looks like she May. The Daily Mail is also insinuating that maybe she was a little. A little drunk. It says an hour's before the kiss, Molly Mae had neck shots of €110 a pound a bottle euro pound of class Azul Plata with pals. A source told the Sun Molly isn't a big drinker, but tried to get into the party spirit with friends and did her best to join it. It was a really fun night and she was letting her hair down after a tough year. You're out, you're drinking, it's New Year's Eve, you're having fun. You're like year because of that. Because of him. No, I know it's. Yeah, it could be. It's a backtrack for sure.
Fran
It's like you tough year because of this guy. You. Maybe you could kiss somebody Else at the party.
Ria
I know. I will say, though. What? At least from what I've seen, people were like, yes. Like, I don't know what it is about the two of them. And even, like, despite the cheating rumors and all these things, and I don't know, Tommy has obviously been adamant that there was no cheating, yada, yada. Like, people are like, yes.
Fran
I think if they just split and then they got back together, people would be like, yes. But because there's so many cheating rumors surrounding it, it's like, no, it's a.
Ria
It's a. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fran
If they just split and it was, like, so clear that there was no cheating or anything, it would be like, okay, good, they're reconnecting. But because there have been so many cheating rumors, like, you know, you don't root for it as hard.
Ria
No, I know, but maybe he's really fighting.
Fran
Maybe he's really fighting for it. Who knows? Yeah. Meghan Markle.
Ria
Love Island All Stars starts now.
Fran
Oh, yeah.
Ria
I'm so excited. I kind of forgot about it.
Fran
Pumped.
Ria
And then, like, I saw a TikTok that was like, here's some rumored people. And I was like, oh, my God. I don't know if there's any true to this, but I saw that some. That one, like, gossip account had said that they thought Rob was gonna go on for Love Island.
Fran
I saw that, too. I saw his name.
Ria
Because then they saw maybe they were gonna dip into other franchises for All Stars, for UK All Stars, which would be interesting. I don't know if they would actually do that because UK is home. Has so many superstars already to choose from, you know, But I did see one confirmed, apparently. Is India. Oh, yeah. Ov. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fran
Interesting. So I love All Stars.
Ria
Same. I think it'd be so good. So that starts on Monday.
Fran
That's super exciting. Whoa. Back. Back in the Love Island. Love island action. Last topic. Mega Markle. She's a new oh, my Style show with love.
Ria
Oh, Megan.
Fran
Now on Netflix.
Ria
Look, did I chuckle as I watched this trailer? I did. But you know what? I give it to her because she's gonna get made fun of for this. I think people were laughing at the trailer and all these things. Oh, she wants to be Martha Stewart. She wants me Martha Stewart. I think she's sneaky. Always wanted to be Martha Stewart. Like, that's like that. It's like a new thing. It's not like she married Prince Harry, and then now it's like all this is her thing thing. She had her lifestyle blog before the Tig, which she just like did all this basically just in blog form. And there's been so many rumored projects and the Netflix deal and we had the Prince and Harry. The Prince and Harry. The Megan and Harry documentary. And then the Spotify situation with the podcast, that was short lived. So it always felt like we were coming on empty promises on projects that these two would be doing and how we'd be seeing them. But this is clearly what Megan's been working on. With Love Megan. She's visited by some, some of her pals as they come into her home. Look, she's got a beautiful home she's in, welcoming people in. She's gonna be teaching us how to get the perfect crisp on your pie and the right glassware to serve at the right event and all those, you know, all those things and gardening and all the things clearly that she has a passion for. So, you know what? Fucking hell. Yeah. Meghan Markle.
Fran
Meghan Markle's passion project.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Like with Jam.
Ria
Where the fuck is the Jam? I don't know. Is the Jam gonna be in the show?
Fran
In the cooking segment?
Ria
Like, it's still funny because there are. It continues to be a thing where it does feel like, oh, if one thing slowly disappears, just another thing pops up. So it's like, oh, we're forgetting about the jam. The whole website, the whole business. She made herself CEO. There hasn't been one Instagram post since they announced it. She sent Jam to celebrities and that was it. And now like, oh, no, she's got a whole lifestyle show.
Fran
Maybe the Jam didn't take off in the way that she thought she would. And she was like, I need this show to promote my jam.
Ria
Yep, yep, yep, yep. And then I hope the Jam is incorporated in the show.
Fran
Right. If she doesn't, it's really a huge miss by Megan if she doesn't incorporate the Jam.
Ria
Yeah. I do enjoy listening to her talk. Like, she has a very calming voice, in my opinion. So I'm intrigued. I think there's a potential for a show like this to be extremely boring.
Fran
Probably a one seasoner, but like her podcast. But that one, the people's choice for best podcast.
Ria
And she just wants.
Fran
She has a lot of passion projects.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
This is what she loves and everything.
Ria
You know, this is what she loves and we're gonna see it. And that's what she's saying. That's literally the name of the show. With Love. You know, she's showing us, she's showing us what, what she's doing. Yeah, they're on Netflix. It's coming, like, next week also. So we'll get to. We'll get to do a.
Fran
We'll do a review.
Ria
Full review.
Fran
Yeah. Of With Love.
Ria
What happens on this show?
Fran
Groundbreaking beekeeping. You know, the whole shebang.
Ria
The whole shebang?
Fran
Yeah, the whole thing.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Which leads us into the Weekly Watch Report. You know, we can wrap up the topics and get to the Weekly Watch Report.

Welcome back to the Weekly Watch Report, where we talk about the things we watch this week. Weekly Watch report on Monday. Weekly Watch report on Monday. Weekly Watch Watch report on Monday. Weekly Watch report on Monday.
Ria
Woo. Woo. Gosh, it's all the things you watched in the past three weeks.
Fran
Yes, I have some takes, to be honest. I have some takes. Oh, I'll start off with the ones I don't have takes about. I watched the Paris and Nicole encore, which I loved. I thought it was so cute and fun and harmless.
Ria
I feel like you're gonna name things and I'll be like, oh, I can't remember what I watched three weeks ago.
Fran
No, it was cute and fun and harmless and Cole Richie is hilarious. Wow. She carried that show. Let me tell you. Paris Hilton brought nothing to that show. Nicole Richie brought everything.
Ria
Nicole is really a comedic talent.
Fran
She really is. And I feel like Nicole in her mind, she's like, I got nothing to lose. Whereas Paris has built this whole brand herself. So she's like, less, you know, loosey goosey. But Paris and, I mean, Nicole Richie's hilarious. I'll give that a. I'll give that a B minus. Yeah, I thought it was enjoyable for what it was, you know, nothing crazy, but enjoyable. I watched Saturday Night, the movie.
Ria
I watched Saturday Night Live.
Fran
Yeah. About Saturday Night Live. It was okay. You know, I thought it was good. A good fine watch. Like, nothing to write home about.
Ria
Like a movie.
Fran
It was a movie.
Ria
Yep.
Fran
And. Yeah, I'll give it a C. Yep.
Ria
Straight down.
Fran
Straight. It was average. That's how I'd rate it. It was a good C to me. Yep. I'm like, you know, I enjoyed my time, but, you know, probably never watch it again. I watched the Night before. I've never seen that Christmas movie.
Ria
Great movie.
Fran
Great movie.
Ria
Yeah. I like that.
Fran
The ending.
Ria
Yeah. Yeah.
Fran
I was totally surprised, but I don't spoil it. But, yeah. Miley Cyrus. I mean.
Ria
No, I know. I've. Yeah.
Fran
What. What are the real. I get. That's, like one of a top Christmas movie.
Ria
It's a good.
Fran
For me now.
Ria
I haven't watched that movie in a long time, but it is good in the.
Fran
In the scheme of Christmas movies.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I'm giving that an A. Yeah. You know, like, in the. You know, it's a. It's a really. It's a great movie. I had a great time watching it. So the night before that gets an A for me in the scheme of Christmas movies, you know.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Which I guess maybe I should just read it like it's a regular movie, but whatever. A Real Pain with Karen Culkin, Jesse Eisenberg.
Ria
Oh, I'm jealous. I want to see it.
Fran
Good movie.
Ria
Can you stream it?
Noah
Yes. You have to buy it.
Fran
You have to buy it.
Ria
No, I mean, I'll buy it.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Good movie.
Fran
I want to watch. You know what I mean? Like what I. What I appreciated. I think we talked about this where Noah and I talked about it.
Ria
We didn't talk about him winning.
Fran
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Kieran won for a Real Pain.
Ria
And it's so funny. Jeremy Strong. He was so pissed.
Fran
He looked like he was pissed.
Ria
I mean, I think, granted, you just look like an idiot no matter what when you're in that outfit.
Fran
Yeah. Horrendous outfit.
Ria
Eldest son. But it was major. Eldest son vibes.
Fran
Yeah. For sure.
Ria
Which is great. The subtle.
Fran
What's the word I'm looking for? Subtlety? Is that the word? The subtlety of this film is what I really enjoyed. Little moments in which it felt like the dialogue was really real, you know, like it wasn't overacted. Like, it was just like.
Noah
Felt like it was interesting because I.
Ria
Saw especially Jesse Eisenberg's work.
Fran
Yes.
Noah
Yeah. I watched a lot of interviews because he directed and wrote it. But that Karen Culkin, he would, like, try to direct Kieran Culkin before a scene, and Kieran Culkin would be like, let me just, like, do the scene. Like, I don't.
Ria
Like.
Noah
He would just do it. And then it would be better than what Jesse Eisenberg thought.
Ria
I've seen a lot of interviews of the two of them, and it is funny because, like, just what Jesse's saying is, like, positive about him, but then also sounds like that Kieran could.
Noah
Is it sounds like.
Ria
Is it maybe like not your typical actor.
Noah
Yeah. They're the characters that they played, like, in real life. That's like, that dynamic is how it is in real life.
Fran
Yeah. I. I enjoyed my time watching it. I would give it. I'm torn between a B and a B plus because at some points I did find it to be a little bit boring, but I also found it interesting as well. I loved the story behind it. So I'll give it a B.
Ria
Okay.
Fran
That feels like more like my true rating.
Ria
That's how you truly feel?
Fran
Yes. Now, okay, we'll go into Squid Games because I have, like, three trivia type shows to talk about, but Squid Game. Watch season two. I thought season one was so much better than season two. Like, I don't even think it's close.
Ria
Yes.
Fran
And so I'll give Squid Game C. Yeah.
Noah
It is tough because it's just a giant setup.
Fran
Yeah. I'll give Squid Game a C. Like the middle. Like, I'm. I like when they're in the game more. Yeah. So the first two episodes were a little slow for me. Then they get into the game. I appreciate the game, but I didn't even think it was close to season one. So I'll give that a circle. Then this. We enter the trivia portion of my watching Fast Friends with Whitney Cummings on Max. It's a game show about Friends.
Ria
About Friends. Yeah.
Fran
One of the worst shows I've ever seen. Really bad. Like, really, really bad.
Ria
How do you mess up a trivia show?
Fran
It's just like, it was just. It's just doing too much.
Ria
Where.
Fran
If it was like a solid. If it was just like a Friends trivia show. I think I would enjoy it more. Like, all the little, like, tidbits, hits and things in it I think are making it super cheesy.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Where it could have just been like a game. If it was a game show about Friends and we take it seriously like Jeopardy, then I think I would like it more. But because it's so, like, cheesy and whatever it takes it away from me. I told Matt that I didn't know whether I was turned on or turned off by how fast he knew the answers to these questions. Like, genuinely faster than the people on the show. Impressively.
Ria
So good with us answering our friends.
Fran
No, he really was phone a friend to just be him because he knew these incredibly fast. Like, I was like, what the hell is going on? Like, why? Like, we're. We watch Friends together. I don't know these answers and you know them impossibly fast. Really just an awful show in my opinion. I like, if I'm being blunt, like, I really think it's one of the worst things I've ever watched. So I'll give it a D. You know, just be nice. I give it a day because it's like one of those that you watch that you're like, I can't look away because it's so bad. But I never returned for the second episode or anything like that. Just the first episode. Pop Culture Jeopardy. With Colin Jost. Love, love.
Ria
Because a little iffy on it.
Fran
Well, for me, regular Jeopardy. Is not my forte. I feel like a dumbass when I watch regular Jeopardy.
Ria
Yeah, most people do.
Fran
Watching pop culture, pop Culture Jeopardy. I feel like, oh, we're top of the top. I'm a genius. Yeah. I know every. I'm like, oh, my God, I'd be going all the way to the quarterfinals, all the way to the end on this show. I'm a big fan of this. I know people had opposite reaction. I'm a big fan of pop culture.
Noah
What some people like, I don't know, they don't like Colin.
Ria
Oh, well, I'll say. I'll tell you what, I don't like Colin. I don't love Colin. I feel like Colin, like, makes a lot of like, I feel like Colin doesn't know why Colin's there. Like, I like, there's some moments where I'm like, I. Not that it needs to be, like, taken so seriously, but. But maybe it is because, you know, we are in the pop culture world that I also find I don't love the three team. The three person team setup. Like, you can play that as an individual person, I think. And I think sometimes, like, the three per. It's just. It might even just be a visual thing to me. Like, it's congested. Like, maybe it's just. Cause I wa. I also watch a lot of Jeopardy. Like, Joe watches every fucking episode of Jeopardy. So, like, I've. We watch a lot of Jeopardy. But I feel like they're like, oh, it's silly because it's pop culture. So we'll do. We'll do three people, a team instead of. It can't, like, one person gets to, like, be their own person and. And do pop culture Jeopardy. Because we have no problem answering the questions at home as.
Fran
Right.
Ria
As one person. But no, I call. I do like Colin a lot. Like, as a. As I like him as a person. But there's just some moments on the show where I'm like, I feel like he's making a joke about the show. Like, not. And I'm, like, rapping. Fun.
Fran
Yeah. I guess I didn't pick up on that.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I've quite enjoyed my time watching it.
Ria
I enjoy watching it.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
Also from the standpoint of, like, it is fun because the. I feel like the answer something up. I know that.
Fran
Yeah. I like the categories. I think the categories are good. I've enjoyed my time. I'll give it a. I'll give it an A minus.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Wow. Maybe it's just because I was, like, doing nothing.
Ria
Right.
Fran
And so I just, like, enjoyed watching it. Like, I can't tell if I really love this show.
Ria
Yeah. Yeah.
Fran
Or if I just really had nothing going on. You know, it's like, could be either or.
Ria
But I only. I also have not watched, like, all.
Fran
My genuine reaction was like, I love this.
Ria
You can't watch like. Like four.
Fran
Oh. Like, I. We had friends come over the Saturday before Christmas, and they slept over, and we watched all 10 episodes that were out together.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And, like, we didn't go to sleep till 2 in the morning. Like, we were having a blast. So I. I'm gonna go. My genuine reaction. I love.
Ria
Maybe it's more meant as, like. Like you're having fun watching it as, like, a group activity too.
Fran
Yes.
Ria
Like, I've just been watching it by myself.
Fran
Honestly, a lot of the episodes I've watched with the group, like, I watched those 10.
Ria
That's always more fun because then it's like, you're really playing a trivia game.
Fran
Right. I've watched both with separate groups.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I mean, Kelly was screaming like, this was a separate group. Because we were watching with other Friends the Saturday before, and then this past Friday, we were watching episodes, and Kelly Keegs was screaming at the TV the answers and was so wrong a lot of the time. Like, she. Well, first of all, like, let's just call it how it is. Like, they're. You know, people had edibles, they had wine, know, whatever.
Ria
You know, everyone was. No one was functioning at 100.
Fran
No, nobody was functioning at 100. And especially Kelly, who would yell the. It was funny. It was hilarious. Like, we were. We were. And Kelly then would start laughing, too, because she would yell and answer the tv, and it would be like she.
Noah
Was, like, so convinced.
Fran
She was so. And it would be like, the answer that was in the question. Like, the show title would be in the question, and she would yell the name of the show, and we'd be like, kelly, that in the question, she'd be like, that's the answer. Like, it was just class. It was just funny. Like, I had to be there, you know? But it was. It's a good time watching with people. I think I enjoyed myself there. Are you smarter than a celebrity? Hosted by Travis Kelsey? No, no, no, no, no. Better than Fast Friends.
Ria
Sorry, Trav.
Noah
But better than one of the worst things you've ever seen.
Fran
Yeah, no, for me, it's not. It wasn't anything having to do with Travis Kelsey. It was the dynamic of the show. What was funny about are you smarter than a fifth grader? Was that like, are you smarter than fifth grade? Like, is this grown person going to be smarter than these fifth graders? Are these fifth graders gonna know the answers better than this adult?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Celebrities. No. Like, everyone's the same age here.
Ria
Right, Right, right.
Fran
And you're.
Ria
You're. You're not. You're not 10 years old.
Fran
No.
Ria
Like, all the celebrities, full blown grown human being.
Fran
Right. Full blown adults who are smart.
Ria
Right.
Fran
And are we supposed to assume that.
Ria
The celebrities are dumb? Like, is that the premise?
Fran
No, no. That wasn't even part of it either. So it was like, wait.
Ria
I don't think I really fully understand the concept of the show.
Fran
Honestly, I don't think I do either. Because I was watching going, what is the point of this?
Ria
Because is it celebrities competing against each other, or is it a celebrity against regular people?
Fran
The celebrity. Like, there's. There's like six or five celebrities that sit at their desk, and there's one person up there that's like. And then they get the help of the celebrities. Like, I think that's a regular. I think Yeah. I think the structure of it's just off because I was like, what am I? Like, none of this makes sense to me. Like, Like, I. You know what I mean? Like, they're getting help from the celebrities, and the celebrities know the answer, and then it's like a whole thing, and it's like, they gotta win in the end. I don't know. A lot of chit chatting in between, you know, like, it's nice. Here's my issue, and this is gonna sound rude. When it comes to a game show, I'm really there to just watch the game.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
You don't want all the small talk in between.
Fran
I don't really care.
Ria
Well, I fast forward. I every je. Like, we record Jeopardy. And when it comes back from the first commercial break and all the contestants do their little. Their little fun facts, fast forward.
Fran
Yep. That. That's exactly what we did for pop culture. Jeopardy. Was Matt's job. Boom. Hand him the remote. Boom, boom, boom. Fast forward. Like, happy for you.
Ria
No, that's so nice. But a lot of the times I just want to play the game and I don't care about, like, the spelling bee you won almost in, like, fourth grade.
Fran
And you know what? For somebody who, like, speaks on a podcast about these random stories about their life, you know, I sound like a hypocrite being like, I don't care, but people are choosing to listen, you know, and you could fast forward or, you know, But I'm not choosing to listen to it.
Ria
Well, we're also not a game show, Right.
Fran
I'm not choosing. We are a podcast. Right?
Ria
Yeah. We have a game show segment. If you want to just fast forward through us talking and do the game show, you can.
Fran
You're right. You're so right. I'm fast forward through it. So, like, there's a lot of in between. Chit chat on. Are you smarter than a celebrity?
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
And I also am just like, once again, it goes back to the pop culture jeopardy. I'm like, I'm loving the pop culture question. I don't really have an interest in, like.
Ria
Yeah. It's just more what equals pie in our wheelhouse.
Fran
You know what I mean? Like, I'm done with school.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
Are you smarter than the fifth grader? Was fun when it came out because I was in school. I was in middle school. Right. And it was, like, fun to, like, watch with my parents and like, me know the answer and my parents not know the answer. Like, that was the thrill of it.
Ria
Yeah.
Fran
I don't give a if I know the answers.
Ria
Yes.
Fran
I don't. I'm not testing my knowledge at that. I don't plan on going back to school. Like, I'm. I'm over that, so. Yeah, well, that's everything I watched. Oh, I watched Southern Charm. Sorry, I forgot that. Yes, I'll give Southern Charm.
Ria
I haven't watched the new episode because.
Fran
There'S a break I give Southern Charm. I don't know. I'm not loving it.
Ria
That's fine.
Fran
Like, see, yeah, that's what I'm getting. So I'm trying right now.
Ria
What was I gonna say? I feel like there are, like, Housewives shows that I have tried, that I've been watching that I honestly cannot fully grade to a respectable degree right now because I watched them three weeks ago, and they have been like. Because the hall where the way the holidays fell, there hasn't been, like, new episodes of some of them. I did catch up on the challenge, but I still think I have. I still think I'm an episode behind because I think there was a new one on this week or LA last week. But we're all. I mean, this has felt like a really long season. I don't know if that's. If that's the case or not, but it's felt like a really long season. But we're basically right at, like, I think, you know, the final either is around the corner or it maybe it happened last week and I did, and I'm missed it still. But I believe that's. That's where. That's where they were headed. But I've enjoyed the challenge. I'll give it a B minus. Squid Game, season two. Yeah, I just. It just felt like in. It felt incomplete to me where it was, like, it had so much potential if it maybe had three more episodes. Like, it was only seven episodes. And it was such a setup season because I know, like, the third season is coming out, like, relatively faster. And so I'm guessing, like, like, season two and season three are more like, it really could have been, like, two a and to be.
Noah
Did you see reports that Leonardo DiCaprio is, like, confirmed to be in season three?
Fran
Why?
Noah
I saw that, and, like, then the director. The director had said that, like, he wanted that we're gonna be a list celebrities in season three.
Fran
Well, Leonardo DiCaprio's gonna be insane.
Noah
I saw that, and I, like, that.
Fran
Feels like a fake.
Noah
I don't really believe it, but, like, it was, like. Posted by, like, I think like, a pretty credible, like, that feels like a fake headline And I had to do a double take. But yeah, like, why Yahoo. I'm just like searching.
Fran
Are you seeing it?
Ria
There's rumors about it.
Fran
What would he be?
Noah
Maybe like one of the guy. Like one of the people. The crazy people who bet money on it. I don't know.
Ria
Here's a Forbes article. Netflix denies American A list cameo in Squid Game Season three For a brief moment, there is a report from Korea's Osun claiming inside knowledge that a specific A list star would be heading to Squid Game Season three for a cameo role. Star was none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. About as a list as you can get. However, Netflix came out to shut this down almost as soon as it started to spread, calling it entirely unfair. Founded.
Noah
Damn it.
Fran
Okay, well, that was a role.
Noah
Maybe they're still.
Fran
For a second I really thought Leonardo Capra was going to be in Squid Game. And then. Yeah, that lasted about 20 seconds. So now I don't.
Ria
Right.
Noah
You never know.
Ria
Honestly, I even think that that's just like a bad idea. Like that would be so disorienting.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
And would have really. But no, I just think like, it does feel like this was a part one type situation because I just. And I just kept getting. I kept getting frustrated while they were in the game because I just really wanted to know what the boss's like motives were, being in the game and like competing so hard. And like I get it now. Like, then it just ended and I'm.
Noah
Like, ugh, the TikTok's memes of him.
Ria
But it's like the whole time I'm just like, what is this guy doing? I'm like, obviously it's like he's on the inside. But I'm like, what's, what's. Get to the motive. Like I want to see him back to being the bad guy and like why he's doing this. And then it's just a cliffhanger. I feel like the creator of the show has said they. That they never thought it would go past a season one, so they kind had to scramble, put their brains together for ideas for season two, season three. So at this point, I feel like season two and season three is just gonna be basically the concepts like one season that like. Yeah, it's just in terms of storytelling, they hit us. So it was so abrupt. And every time there was like one moment that really mattered at the end between the police brother of the bad guy and they're on, like, I'm like, every time they show them on this, on this fucking boat and they're looking and they fail. I'm like, how many times are these gonna. It just felt a little repetitive in the middle of the season. And then finally towards the end it was like, oh, you know, whatever. The captain's in on it. Something that everybody's in on it. Everybody knows what's going on.
Fran
Did you get confused while watching this that you were watching the reality show? Because there were moments where I had to remind myself that I wasn't watching the reality show Squid Game and I was watching the actual show Squid Game.
Ria
Any. Every time they showed the, like, colorful staircase, that's when I was. That's when I was like getting thrown off.
Fran
And then when I was talking about last season, like, I would start, like, I like almost reference the reality. That's what happened on the reality show, not the first season.
Ria
What happened, not what happened in the. In the actual show. I still find it to be very interesting and, you know, the whole premise is fascinating and obviously just like the. The ideas of the lengths people will go for money and greed and all those. You know, I had to look up the. Really.
Fran
Currency. Yeah, I had to look up the currency because they kept talking about millions, billions, and. And I'm like, I guess I didn't. It didn't hit me the first season, but it was hitting me more this season because of all the back and.
Ria
Forth, like, what they should do.
Fran
Yeah. And I'm like, why aren't they taking. And then I looked it up and I was like, it's not, you know, it's not really. It's not equal at all.
Ria
No.
Fran
Close.
Ria
No.
Fran
So, yeah, I mean, it's obviously still a very good show.
Ria
Yeah, absolutely. And. And it's so. It is so well acted. But I just felt like the pacing was not as good as the first season. I just think the first season was just spectacular. It was really hard to.
Noah
You're not going to have that shock value.
Ria
Yes, exactly. It's just really hard to kind of remake that. Kind like do more seasons of a show like that. That really, at the end of the day, was intended to be one season, you know, so I'll give it a. I'll give it a B minus as well. That's like kind of. I've been catching up on Abbott elementary because they're doing a crossover with It's Always Sunny this week. And I realized that I hadn't started the newer. This season that it's on right now. I hadn't started. So that was like throwing that on late at night. I love that show, it's a B plus. It's so cute. And I love. There was a. I catch myself actually laughing out loud a lot of the times. And then I'm like, his butt of. She and I always space on all, like. I know. I like, tell them by their. By their, like, teacher names. Ms. Shamenti is they. They all get class pets and she gets the skinny pig. She ends up, like, wanting to steal the guinea pig. It's, you know, whole thing. Anyway, I love that show.
Fran
Classic hijinks.
Ria
Yeah. And I can't wait. I'm excited for the crossover. I think that's gonna be very funny. And like, movies.
Noah
Assuming you watch Turnkey, the finale.
Ria
No.
Noah
You didn't.
Ria
Nope.
Noah
Wow.
Ria
Haven't watched the finale. There are certain things, like, I just really was not watching a lot of tv. Joe was adamant about watching Squid Game. That was like, the only thing we watch other than that. Like, when we were in Florida, we were. I read a couple books.
Fran
And some good beach time.
Ria
Yeah, exactly. And then like, around Christmas time, we were just more. We did Christmas movies and did a. Holdovers rewatch. Fucking this. Such a great movie. Oh, God. Such a great movie. And. Oh, I watched her Number two. It was good. I don't really have too much. Like, I wasn't blown away.
Noah
Solid.
Ria
Yeah, totally. Like, like, good movie.
Fran
Yeah.
Ria
But was not like, whoa, I love Nicholas Holt.
Noah
He's really having a big year.
Ria
He is. And one of my favorite things, every time people talk about Nicholas Hold. I was doing it to my family. Like, after we were watching Juror Number Two was talk about how he and Jennifer Lawrence dated for so long, and people are like, oh, my God, didn't know that. I'm like, yep, so true. Yep. I was a big, big fan of that relationship when that was a thing. But no, I thought. I thought it was. I thought it was good. It was. Interesting premise. I'm not really one. And I know. I get it. I understand like, the. Like an ending like that where you can obviously kind of put the pieces together of what's.
Noah
I like that. I like those type Sopranos ending.
Ria
Yeah, but. And I mean, it wasn't like a big. In my mind, it was like a big mystery. I'm like, she's gone. You kind of.
Noah
Yeah.
Ria
Unless. Unless the wild card is you really think she didn't. Yeah, whatever. But, yeah, I'll give it a. What do I give it? I'll give it a B. Well acted, good premise, but not, like, shockingly great for me, you know?
Noah
Yeah.
Ria
Yeah, that's gotta be everything I did. There's.
Noah
Okay. I have a bunch of stuff I'll try to go through quickly for you.
Ria
I watched the sake of everyone. Really? This is a long ass episode.
Noah
Heretic. Is that how you say it? The heretic. Heretic. Okay. I think I've heard people say it differently. I don't know. B, like, it wasn't. I didn't love the movie, but Hugh Grant gave a great performance. It's like creepy.
Fran
Very creepy.
Ria
Does he play like a murderer or.
Noah
It's like, it's hard to explain.
Ria
Yeah. All I know is I saw a TikTok interview of him where I was like, God, I love this man, because he cracks me up. The what? The interviewer on the carpet was like, you know, this role for you, you know, it's like a dark role. Do you struggle, you know, taking the. Taking the character home with you or anything? And he's like, oh. He goes, oh. Oh, yeah. Just before I got here, I killed three people.
Fran
Do you know what his middle name is?
Ria
No.
Fran
Mungo.
Noah
Oh, yeah.
Ria
I did not know that.
Fran
Hugh Mungo Grant or is this a joke? No, it's not. I'm not playing a joke on you. His actual.
Ria
Why.
Fran
His actual middle name is Hugh John.
Noah
Mungo Grant is his full name.
Ria
Oh, okay.
Noah
But still.
Fran
But still having mungo.
Ria
No, no. 100. 100.
Fran
Like, why did they put Mungo? His parents were like, we're gonna throw Mungo in there and his name is gonna be Hugh Mungo Mungo Grant.
Noah
I might. What else? What other words would be funny like that to give your kid first and middle name that are, like, connected?
Ria
He. He. Hugh Grant jokes. Unkind parents are to blame for his unusual middle name.
Fran
Seriously, though. Yeah, That's a cruel joke.
Ria
Seriously.
Fran
You thought I was pulling like.
Ria
No, I literally thought I was like. I thought like, yes. For a second I thought you saw a dad joke and it was just to make me say Hugh Mungo out loud.
Fran
Nope, just his middle name.
Noah
But, yeah, I think. I think the movie had like a. It was more like a deeper meaning than just the creepiness of it.
Ria
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Noah
But I didn't love it, so. Yeah, I'll give it a B. I watched subservience, the new Megan Fox movie on Netflix. Horrible. Like, and I knew it was horrible going in. It was a Megan Fox movie, so I was gonna watch it.
Ria
Yeah, right.
Noah
That's a D. Like, okay. She plays. She plays like an AI robot that like, basically is obsessed with the husband while his wife is sick.
Ria
Yeah. It's like, isn't it that really hot guy who's the other guy in it? That was in the other Netflix show that everybody freaked out about him.
Fran
The Italian guy?
Ria
Yeah. Huh. What's his name?
Noah
They're just like, hey, Chris.
Ria
The one that everybody, like, wanted to set up with Khloe Kardashian that time, Remember? Right, right.
Noah
They were just like, we'll put two hot people in this, and people will watch, which I think is probably true. Doesn't subserve the movies.
Ria
Yeah. Michele McKelly.
Fran
Where did I get Chris? That guy's name is not Chris.
Ria
Yeah, he's not Chris. This is an Italian. This is an Italian style right here.
Fran
Said Chris.
Noah
Yeah. Shrinking 11 and 12 episodes. 11 and 12. I'll give it B plus. Like, I saw people. I was preparing myself. People online were like, you're like, you're gonna be sobbing at these last couple episodes.
Ria
Did I watch it?
Fran
No. You guys thought the finale was like.
Ria
Oh, I was so wrong. I thought the. I thought the finale was episode 10. I thought it was 10, and then there was 11, and then there was 12.
Fran
Right. I'm like, there was definitely not a finale.
Ria
Spoiler. Did it end with him going to Brett Goldstein's character on the. On the train?
Noah
Yes.
Ria
And. But. But that's. That was 12.
Noah
That was 12.
Ria
And, like. And he, you know, takes. But then he.
Noah
Yeah, okay.
Ria
I did watch that one.
Noah
So you watched the finale?
Ria
I did watch the finale. I watched it. But once again, like, it was three weeks ago. It's a light time.
Fran
It was last year.
Ria
It was last year.
Fran
How can you blame her?
Ria
Yeah.
Noah
Is there another season or. No, this is it. I don't even know.
Ria
I don't.
Noah
But I feel like this should be it. I don't think it should be another season. They, like, wrapped everything up nicely in my mind.
Ria
I know. And. And every time I watch Harrison Ford's character, I just think, God, if they just keep making more seasons, like, he's gonna be, like, it's just gonna. His worse. Yeah, exactly.
Noah
So I started to think, like, did they write this in. Like, does he have this in real life? I don't know.
Ria
I don't. I don't believe.
Noah
I don't think so. He was there last night. Looked fine.
Ria
I did watch it. Oh, I thought.
Fran
I.
Ria
Yes. Okay. Yep. Yep. Episode 12, mark me down as A. As A. As a B plus as well.
Noah
Yeah, I thought it was B plus. Like, just solid. Like, I can't keep saying it's corny because, like, that's just what the show is. There are moments where I'm like, oh, my God.
Ria
I like that Gabby's guy came back.
Noah
Yeah.
Ria
That made me happy.
Noah
I like it. There's a lot of moments where I know exactly what's going. It's just very predictable at times, but that's what it is.
Ria
Like Liz getting to be the. Like, getting the nanny for that. I see now. It's all. It's all coming back to me now.
Fran
And it's all coming back so that.
Noah
I watched Gladiator 2C Plus. Like, it's kind of exactly what I expected, basically the first Gladiator, but just not nearly as good. And, like, so many callbacks. And, like, honestly, I was Denzel, like, was great. He's always great. But people were acting like he was. Like, he was just. He was Denzel.
Ria
Right.
Noah
That's all he.
Ria
Denzel is being Denzel. Yeah.
Noah
Squid Game. I'll give it a B. I still think that's. It's not as good as the first season, but it's better than most TV I watch. And I was locked in and I binged it all in one day. I watched a complete unknown, the Timothy Chalamet Bob Dylan movie. I've seen mixed reviews about this. I personally, I'm a big Bob Dylan fan. I've always liked his music. So this movie's just right up my alley. So it's an A in my book. I think. I think Timothy Chalamet should win the Oscar. Like, no questions.
Ria
Yeah.
Noah
I haven't seen every movie. I thought he was incredible. Like, he's the best part of the movie. I could see why some people might say it's boring at times or like, yeah, it's not like the deepest story. But I thought he earned. I thought himself, like, he maybe bumped it from an A minus to an A. Like, in my book.
Fran
Wow.
Noah
Maybe a B plus to an A. Like, that's how good he was.
Fran
Well, dang, Timothy. A good writing for Timothy right there.
Noah
I watched this movie called I Like.
Ria
Movies, which brought another one right up your alley.
Noah
Yeah. A new movie just describes you, and it's basically about this kid who works at a. It kind of seems like it's about Quentin Tarantino. It has nothing to do with him, but it's like a kid who works at a video shop. He's kind of a weird outcast kid, and he's obsessed with movies. And that's the whole movie. And it has 100% rotten tomatoes.
Ria
It was a movie about movies.
Fran
And he sell it like, it sounds like Noah's selling his movie.
Ria
That's an inside job. It was that job review right there.
Noah
And then it gets, like, really deep at times. I mean, this kid has, like, issues. I'll give it a B plus. Like, I thought it was good. It was. There's, like, a lot of cool, like, movie references that they do throughout the movie. Just, like, subtle movie references. I'd recommend it. I watched Saturday Night C plus. I thought just. It seemed like it was trying to be Aaron Sorkin and, like, very quick and just, like, a lot of high pressure. But I don't know. I didn't really, like, believe the performances.
Fran
I'm with you. Lauren Michaels, Lorne Michaels character.
Noah
I'm like, this seems like a kid.
Fran
He. I totally agree with you. Like, he wasn't selling it for me. I thought Chevy Chase, whoever.
Noah
Yeah, they were selling Chevy Chase.
Fran
Yeah. Oh, Dylan O'Brien, I thought did great as Dan Aykroyd.
Noah
There were some people who were good. Lorne Michaels character kind of ruined it for me. I don't know.
Fran
I'm with you. I think he is what took me out of it.
Noah
And I'm like, I don't know enough about Lorne Michaels in that stage of his life to know if this is, like, how he sounded and acted. But it just was weird to me. I watched this new Michael. I'm getting close, by the way. Good, Rich. It's Michael Keaton and Mila Kunis came out this year. I actually never heard. Had heard of it, like, promoted or anything. And I saw it on prime and watched it, and I loved it. Like, Michael Keaton basically is this, like, absentee dad because he's always working, and then his wife, like, just goes to rehab without telling anyone. So now he needs to take care of, like, these kids. And Milk is an older daughter from his first marriage. And then, like, it's just about him becoming, like, the dad that he never was. But I thought it was awesome. Michael Keaton's always good. That's an A minus for me. Wow.
Ria
It's a good score from you.
Noah
Yeah. And I watched the Avicii documentary.
Ria
Oh, I want to watch that. Yeah. Yeah, I know.
Noah
I want to watch. I'm Tim.
Ria
It's called, like, I've only. All my friends have only said they're. They're, like, cried.
Noah
Yeah. And the thing is, it's like, I don't really know much about Avicii because I. I, like, am not in the EDM world at all. I don't like that type of music. Avicii has a couple songs that I like because they're that good, but. But I don't know much about him. So honestly, I didn't even know how he died. I knew he died, but I didn't know how. I thought it was an overdose. Very sad.
Ria
Really sad.
Noah
The first half is interesting to see him come up and how he became, how big he was. But, I mean, obviously, really sad.
Fran
Sad story.
Noah
Half of the thing is just really, really sad.
Ria
Some of the most fun nights I've had in my life were at Avicii concerts.
Noah
Yeah. I went to a wedding last year where the Walk down the Aisle song was. Or Walk. Maybe Walk out was levels. Like, when they walked out of.
Ria
Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna hope it was Walking out.
Noah
No, no, it was. It wasn't like, it was, like, levels. But Donna in like, a wedding song.
Ria
Yeah, yeah. Yes. Yes.
Noah
It might have been the walk down. That's probably when they walked off the podium. But yeah. And then I watched Anora the other night.
Fran
Another one that was real.
Ria
This is like, I think this number one I wanna watch.
Noah
I didn't know, like, much about it going in other than people being like, it's really good. And she was amazing.
Ria
I did have to Google, like, during the Golden Globes, I've just seen so many people talking about Anora. And then I was like, I actually have no idea what this movie is even about. I just googled it just to see the. No, but just to see, like, the two liner. Like, I didn't, like, search anything else. I think just for, like, the premise.
Noah
I was like, okay, yeah, I think it was good. I didn't know much about it. It was very, like, uncut gemsy. And. But there are a lot of funny, like, very funny, but also, like, really sad at points. But I thought it was really well done. She was incredible. I think she could win. I think, like, she could easily win. And yeah, I thought it was really, really good. Obviously. Like, I'd just recommend. Don't watch it with. I watch it alone. Don't watch it with your parents. Just very graphic and sexual. A lot of the movie.
Ria
Yeah.
Noah
And a lot of it's in Russian. Just a heads up. Yeah, but that's an A for me.
Fran
Solid.
Noah
And I rewatched A Real Pain yesterday. I had watched it, like, months ago when it came out in theaters, but my parents were watching it, so I rewatched it. And it's still there.
Ria
Yeah, for me.
Fran
Solid.
Noah
So that's it.
Fran
That's some good ones. I want to watch ceviche and anora.
Ria
Yeah. And I want to watch real pain.
Fran
All right. That is everything we watched. And that wraps up today's episode of Chicks of the Office. Thank you so much for watching and listening. And it's a long one. You know, it was a long one.
