Hello, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Christ with Coffee on Ice. I am your host, Aliost. It is a joy and honor to be here with you guys today. Happy Friday, everybody. We have our Christ. Yes, we do. Oh, thank you, Lord. We have our Christ and we have our coffee on ice today. A little less ASMR today because the ice is melted. But we're here. We're ready to have a good day. We are ready to spend time with the Lord. We're ready to maybe even be convicted. We're ready to better ourselves. We're ready to become better versions of ourselves every day. Right. Thank you, Lord, that your mercies are new every day. And we have the opportunity to be better today. There's fresh hope. There's fresh hope available for all of us right now. Okay. Something that I would love to talk about today is the importance of consistency and showing up every day. And I think that this could also be deeply rooted in just staying on fire for the Lord. We kind of did an episode a while back, and I think we had titled it, like, I don't wanna be lukewarm anymore, kind of talking about how to become on fire. But then it's like, okay, so how do we stay on fire for God? And I bring this up because I feel that a lot of you guys actually, on my socials, I'll keep seeing, like, highlighted to me as I'm, you know, kind of scrolling through things and whatever, DMs or comments or whatever, and it's like, how do I stay on fire for the Lord? And I think that that can be a real fear. Not to encourage anyone into fear. I just say that from a place of compassion. I think for a lot of us, like, it could be a bit of a fear. Well, I just want to make sure that I can stay in this place of being on fire for the Lord all the time. Yeah, I think it'd be good for us to talk about that. It's like, okay, we've been lit on fire. We know what it's like to be on fire for the Lord. Great. That's awesome. But then how do we stay there? Because I think the scariest thing is, like, backsliding or falling back in any way. I know for sure. I don't ever want to get to that place in my life. I would love to stay on fire for Jesus every day forever. And that is a deep prayer in my heart with Jesus, is I'm like, at the end of the day, God, I know that I am so human, and I know that it would be tempting for me to even choose other things. I think, also recognizing that we are just no more resilient, I guess, or we're just not off limits, right? Like, we see it happen in the church all the time where it's like, people will be on fire. So, like, bold and sold out for Jesus. And then all of a sudden something happens and they're not. There could even be people in your life where you're like, no, I. I actually had a really good friend who was so on fire, so sold out, and then all of a sudden they just weren't anymore. And, like, I don't understand that. And that can be terrifying. And as a Christian, seeing that when I say, like, we aren't off limits to that, it's again, it's not to ignite any fear, but it's just recognizing that that could truly happen to any of us, you know? And so what do we do to make sure that that doesn't happen? How do we stay on fire for Jesus? And I think the biggest word that comes to my mind is consistency and also self discipline, which is, like, hard for a lot of us. And I believe that self control, I mean, it is a fruit of the Spirit. It is something that we can only get from the Holy Spirit. And I think making sure that we are constantly, every day, connected to the vine, which means Jesus. Guys, let's refer to John. If you guys have your Bibles, let's open it really quick. I would love to read this quick scripture with you guys. It's John, chapter 15, verses 1 through 8. This is Jesus speaking. It says, jesus is the true vine, I am the true grapevine, and my father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit. And he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You've already been pruned and purified by the message I have given. You remain in me and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine. And you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who remain in me and I in them will produce much fruit. For apart from me, you can do nothing. What is Jesus saying in that? Okay, a lot of that is very metaphoric. But what he is saying is as long as we are connected to him, and this is daily. This is a daily connection, we have to stay connected to the vine every single day. Because every day there are new temptations, there are new obstacles. There are new challenges, There are new circumstances, situations, positions that we are in, Right. There are also even new feelings. Sometimes we wake up and we're like, I hate today, for whatever reason, right? And our feelings are not to be trusted. A lot of times they are indicators. And God has given us feelings, and they typically can indicate maybe a deeper root. But we don't trust and lean on our feelings for dependence, right? We lean on the Lord for that. So, yeah, it's like every day there's new. And so every day we need to make sure that we are connected to the vine, that we are connected to Jesus. And so Jesus is saying here that he is the vine and the only way that the branches. You're thinking of the vine and then all the branches that come off of it, and then the fruit that comes off of the branches, which is us. The fruit is the fruit of Jesus, the fruit of the Spirit, the fruit of our lives, right? And so we cannot produce fruit. We cannot be on fire for Jesus. We cannot show up. And last week we talked about love. Like, we can't love people. Well, biblically, like, true definition of love, that is fruit. We cannot have that fruit or produce that fruit if we are not connected to the vine. The fruit is like the fruit of our lives, the results of our lives, the way that we show up for people, even the things that we, you know, work for in our life, it's like that could be relationships or even at your job, but it's like the fruit of your life. We can only be fruitful if we are connected to Jesus. And so what he's saying is, for a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine. If we have disconnected ourselves from Jesus, we can't produce that same fruit because he says, for apart from me, you can do nothing. You cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who remain in me and die in them will produce much fruit. I want to add a little bit more to the definition of what Jesus is referring to. Like with saying fruit, right? We can't produce fruit without him. Fruit he's referring to as the evidence of a life transformed by faith and obedience in him. This fruit is not merely outward acts, actions. It's not just outward actions, but it is also inner qualities like love, joy, peace, patience, and self control, discipline, right? Encompasses a life that reflects God's character and aligns with his will. Essentially, bearing much fruit means living a life that glorifies God and draws others to him. Fruit is also evidence of abiding in Christ. So obviously we can only have fruit if it means that that fruit is actual. It's supposed to be served as evidence of abiding in Christ. Jesus uses the analogy of a vine, and its branches illustrate that just as a branch cannot produce fruit apart from the vine, believers cannot bear spiritual fruit apart from remaining connected to Him. Now, the fruit of the Spirit, which is described in Galatians 5:22 through 23, which I would love to read, what is the fruit of the Spirit? Okay, guys, let's flip to Galatians 5, chapter 5, verse 22. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives. Okay? This is the fruit of being connected to the vine, being connected to God, the Holy Spirit. It is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. There is no law against these things. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceived, seated, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. Okay, this is so fun because I feel like what we're talking about right now with the fruit of the Spirit and being connected to the vine and staying connected to Jesus and that there is no fruit apart from him. This is so closely connected to what we talked about last Friday when we talked about the biblical definition of love and what love is. It's like, I kind of love that this is, like, so connected because this is. This is also the way that we are going to be able to successfully love others. We talked all last week about what that looks like. But another question that could come from that, that we're answering this week is how do we do that, though? How do I stay loving people? Well, how do I stay loving God? Well, how do I stay on fire for God? How do I stay consistent in my faith? Right? All of those things fall under the same umbrella of like, okay, so the only place that we can get that from is from God himself, is from staying connected to God and staying connected to the vine, staying connected to the Holy Spirit, because it's the Holy Spirit that actually bears this fruit. And so as long as we are connected to the very source that will be able to give us access to produce this fruit is Jesus, and that fruit is love. The first thing listed is love. A fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and Self control or AKA discipline. There is no law against these things. So love is actually a fruit of the Holy Spirit. It's a fruit of God, which makes sense because last week we said that God is love. God is the source of love. It is his character. That's crazy. So those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions of their desires, of their sinful nature, to his cross and crucified them. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited or provoke one another or be jealous of one another. So the fruit of the Spirit as described in that verse includes qualities like we just listed off. These are not just human virtues, but rather reflect God's own character and are produced by His Spirit working in the believer's life. So I think another thing for us to remember when it comes to, you know, obviously the topic today is like, how do I stay on fire? How do I stay consistent? That is a fruit of the Spirit. That is not something that comes naturally for us humans. That is actually a reflection of God's own character that is produced by His Spirit through our lives. I think the only way for us to stay on fire and to stay obsessed with Jesus and bold for God and completely sold out for him is to stay connected to him, to stay connected to the vine. Ultimately, bearing fruit is not something believers can achieve on their own or in their own strength. It is the result of God's grace and his work in their lives as they abide in him and cooperate with His Spirit. So our only job in this, right, is like, we are not supposed to sit here and figure out, okay, how do I become more disciplined? How do I figure this out? How do I stay more consistent with God? How do I, how do I stay on fire? It does come down to us making a simple choice. Because even in this that I just read is, it says it is the result of God's grace and his work in our lives. Like this fruit of staying on fire and staying consistent. It is the result of God's grace and his work. But it's as we abide in him and cooperate with His Spirit, which is a choice. So we do have to make the choice of showing up every day and saying, okay, I'm gonna read a chapter a day in my Bible. I'm going to sit down and spend 15 minutes in my morning with Jesus alone, no distractions, phone away, sitting, and I'm not striving. By the way, we've talked about this on the pod, I'm sure I've confessed this and mentioned this because it's a very real thing, but sometimes I want to fall in default, I guess. I don't know. But my brain just wants to go into, like, religion, you know, like, just like a relig mindset of, like, to stay on fire. I have to do it, do it, do it. And it's like, yes, those things are very real. But I'm almost approaching it from more of a religious pov, where it's like, I'm sitting in my secret place and I'm striving. I'm, like, trying. And that's not what God needs from us. He just needs us to show up. He just wants our yes. And so you sitting down with Jesus for 15 minutes in the morning, if that's like, the thing that you want to set for yourself every single day to stay consistent in the vine, you simply showing up and sitting down is your yes. That in itself is you doing enough. You showed up to receive from God, right? To have quality time with him, to connect with him, to have, like, daddy daughter or daddy son time together. He just needs our cooperation. He just needs our willingness. He just needs our yes. He just needs us to abide. He needs us to surrender. He needs us to just go and be open. And then from there, it's like he literally does all the work. Just as it says here that it's actually a result of God's grace and his work. He does it. We say yes. We partner with him, and we say yes. And then the heart transformation happens. To be consistent in your faith is to cultivate habits like regular prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers. Oh, this is good. I want to talk about this, too. These practices, combined with setting attainable goals and seeking accountability can strengthen your faith and help you live in alignment with your beliefs with Jesus. So two things I'd really love to highlight there. This is good, guys. And I'm going to speak from a testimony of just like my own story, because these are the things that I believe has actually really helped me with being more disciplined and consistent in my walk with the Lord and honestly in my life in general. Like, I think that the fruit that God gives you in these areas of, like, staying consistent and being disciplined, it will naturally just bleed into other areas of your life, even outside of your relationship with Jesus. Setting attainable goals. Attainable goals. I love that attainable is being used in this because I think too many times, y'. All, too many times I've done this And I've really learned this lesson, yes, in my quiet time, like, with my relationship with Jesus, but. But also with working out. Like, I kind of shared that with you guys a couple months back about my journey of me, like, starting to go to the gym and, like, how I realized that I was setting, like, unattainable goals for myself, and I was just going from, like, zero to a bajillion, and it just wasn't fair. I was setting myself up for failure, and it was extremely discouraging. And I think a lot of that, too, was, like, I was comparing myself to other people, and I was seeing that these people were capable of doing all of these insane workouts for 45 minutes to 50 minutes. And so I would kind of shame myself. And I'm using that as an example. But I think that can also apply to our walks with the Lord. It's like, are you setting attainable goals for yourself every single day, or are you kind of going outrageous where you're like, I have to be in the secret place every day for a minimum of an hour to two hours, and then I'm gonna read an entire book of the Bible in a day, you know? And so I think, like, the healthiest thing that you could do for yourself, if you've tried to set goals where you're like, okay, Allie, you know what? I've tried to be consistent. I've tried to be disciplined. I've tried to incorporate God in my everyday life, and I just fail every time, and I can't do it, or I'll do it for a few days, and then I break the streak. There have been a few things that the Lord has showed me in this. And I think it's also like, being honest with yourself about what is too much and kind of coming out of agreement on what you think should be enough and going to God and being like, okay, Lord, realistically for me and my life and my lifestyle, honestly, what is enough? I want to give you enough every day, God. But I also don't want to set myself up for failure where now it's like, I get so discouraged, and then I don't see a sense of going back. And now I've broken the streak. And I haven't even talked to you in weeks now or months or whatever that looks like. And it's like, how can we break this cycle of, like, wanting to do all of the right things and doing the most? And then the minute we fail, we feel so discouraged. We also kind of feel like a disappointment to you, God. Like, There could be a temptation of feeling like a disappointment to God because you were like, I couldn't even do it for more than a week. I can't even show up for him, you know, and just going to him and being like, honestly, what is realistic? Because it hasn't been working for me. And I think evaluating with the Lord of, like, what are actual attainable goals for you? And recognizing that there is so much grace for you. Like, some days, y', all, I do only have, like, 15 minutes in the morning. And it's probably my fault because I slept in sometimes. It's like, I actually wasn't that busy. I did choose to sleep in more. Could I be so ashamed and embarrassed that I chose sleep over spending time with my heavenly Father? Yeah. And sometimes it has been a bit shameful. Like, I'm not even going to sit down with him, because that's so lame. I only have 10 minutes. But there have been times where I have felt challenged by the Lord down to sit still, go sit with him for 10 minutes. And when I do that, you guys, I don't understand. This is his love. It's unconditional. Okay? To talk about the definition of love last week, it's unconditional. I go to him like a little dog with my tail between my legs. I'm like, God, I only have 10 minutes for you right now. And I'm sorry. I feel so bad about that. I originally planned to have, like, 30 minutes with you, and now I only have 10. I'm like, what can be done in 10 minutes? And then he's like, I'm God. A lot can be done in 10 minutes. One, two. I'm so proud of you for still deciding to sit with me no matter how much time it looks like. It's like every time I've gone to sit with the Lord, whether it was for an hour, three hours, or 10 minutes, I, like, feel him being like, you're sitting with me. That's all he wants. That's all he wants. Yeah. There's just. There doesn't need to be any religion on it of, like, if I can't sit with him for at least 30 minutes, then, then what's the point? It's like, no, there's always a point of sitting with the Lord, even if it is for 10 minutes. Even it's. If it's just praying with him for five minutes. Yeah, you slept in. Okay. But there's still grace for us, you know? And as long as you're incorporating him in your everyday life, it's going to be hard for you to not be on fire for him anymore. It is. Because if you are constantly being connected to the vine every day, even if it might have to fluctuate and there might have to be grace. Should we try to strive for consistency of like, yeah, I actually do want to sit with God for 30 minutes every single day. Yes, that should be the ultimate goal. But also learning to extend grace to ourselves, that if there are times where like it looks a little bit different, fine. But at the end of the day, it's like, you still sat with him though. You still went to his feet, you still opened your Bible. That's a freaking win, y'. All. That's a win. And I've learned that even in my workouts, like when I go to the gym and stuff. I was setting these insane goals for myself that were unachievable. And now, now. And it's the grace that God gives me and I've received that grace from him that I can even give this grace to myself. Because there are times where I go to the gym and I'm like, I literally only have like a 12 minute workout in me right now. You know, I'll go on the treadmill for like 20 minutes and then like a strength workout. I'm like, I got about 17 minutes in me. I don't have a lot today, but it's like, I still showed up to the gym, I moved my body, I did strength, like that all is better than nothing. I don't know why, but like sometimes I fall in fault to like that mentality of like, well, if I can't give it 100, then I'm just going to give it zero. What is that? What is that? If I can't give it 100, why is the answer zero? If you can't give God 100% that day, why is it nothing then? That doesn't even make sense if you only have 30%. I think I made a TikTok about this. I was in the world. This is crazy, but I made a video a few years ago where I was like, if you only have 30% today, let's say you only have I only have 30%. That's it's all I got in me. I don't have a lot. That is still 100% of the 30% that you have, right? So it's like, okay, maybe I'm not giving 100%, but I am giving everything I have right now. That's all God wants. That's his standard. He's like, just Give me what you got today, babe. Just give me what you got. If you have 10 minutes right now, I would love to have those 10 minutes with you. I would love to pour into you for 10 minutes. It's also not out of, like, him being a selfish God. Like, he loves you, actually. He's so jealous for you. He's obsessed with you, but it's like he wants to love you and he wants to pour wisdom into you, and he wants to pour peace into you, and he wants to bring you to a place of, like, calmness, and he wants to love you, you know? And so he's like, if I could just do that for 10 minutes instead of 30, I'm still gonna do that for my kid, because I love you that much. So the answer to, like, if I can't give a hundred is not zero. And I don't know why we do that, but it's not the answer. Okay. The second thing that I loved in that. Right. Okay. So that was kind of our tangent. A little bit about setting attainable goals, but also seeking accountability, community fellowship. You guys, the best way to stay on fire consistently for Jesus is to allow yourself make the choice of being in environments where people are also on fire for Jesus. It's actually more important than we really think, being around people who are obsessed with Jesus. God's made us for each other, you know, I mean, it's crazy. It's like he's made us to be in relationship with him, but then he's also made us for each other, too. Like, fellowship and to be in community with each other and to rub off on one another. I mean, the scripture that says iron sharpening iron. I mean, God said we were meant to sharpen one another, to keep each other accountable, to inspire one another, to learn from each other, to walk with Jesus together. Right? And as we're doing that, we're sharpening each other and we're helping each other stay on fire. This isn't like a journey that you're supposed to be doing with just God. Granted, yes, God has everything you could ever need, but it's like. Like there is such value in community. And so staying on fire for Jesus is also like staying in community and making sure that you are surrounding yourself with people who are also looking to stay on fire for Jesus that have the same goals and aspirations as you do in the sense of, like, being a loyal follower of the Lord. Right. It would make sense that if you're hanging out with a bunch of people who don't know Jesus at All or like, are kind of. They, like, they love Jesus, but they're not, like, on fire for him. You know what I mean? And I'm not saying you can't be friends with people like that. When it comes to, like, being yoked to people, like, spending life doing life with people, it has to be people who are like, iron with you, you know, where it's like, we are sharpening each other and we are all lit. And it does hold you accountable. It could be like verbal accountability where you're like, hey, where you decide to partner with some friends, you decide to start a Bible study, whatever that looks like. You guys PR every Tuesday together, you get on a zoom call or you get on a FaceTime and you're like, guys, we're going to pray for each other every Tuesday, whatever that looks like. But it's like you are constantly coming back, holding each other accountable in that way. But I do think that just simply being in community does hold you to a level of accountability. Like, when you are around people like that and your heart really is rooted in a place of, like, I just want to stay on fire. Being around people who are on fire is just going to convict you. It just will. And each person will bring, like, a different thing. And I'm sure even you, the way you live your life will convict others as well. And when I say convict, it's like, it makes us look at ourselves and go, whoa, that person does such a great job at xyz. I want to be more like that. It's also, like, inspiring one another, you know? And so when we show up in groups of fellowship, there's opportunity to inspire and encourage each other more in certain areas of our faith. Faith. And, yeah, I think it could also be healthy to. When we talk about achievable goals, attainable goals, you could even share those goals with your community, and you can all hold each other accountable of those goals and be like, hey, I really want to be better at this. I really want to be more consistent in this way. And typically, you know, if you guys are all loving each other, well, you would even maybe partner with someone in that and be like, hey, yeah, same actually. Or, you know what? I'd love to help you with that. I'm actually really good at that. Do you want me to, like, walk with you in that and say, and, like, hold you accountable and kind of be that running partner with you, you know, and those attainable goals? I mean, we can start with small, achievable goals and then gradually increase the time or intensity of your practices. And I think that all comes with like, discernment from the Lord of like, okay, God, what is actually attainable to me right now. And then over time, those goals can get bigger and bigger. Obviously, a really important part of staying connected to the vine and staying on fire for the Lord is also studying God's word, right? This feels obvious, but it's so true. The times that I feel the most disconnected from the Lord are the times that I've realized I have not opened my Bible in days or even weeks. But it's crazy because then I'll open my Bible and I don't know about you guys, but sometimes if I go like a really long time without reading the Bible, I feel like I have to do all of this, like, quote catch up work where I'm like, okay, well, I have to at least read for like two hours because I haven't read in two weeks. It doesn't really work like that. From my experience, I've realized that if I haven't gotten in my word for a really long time, within the first, like few minutes of me reading my Bible, I'm like, it's like all of a sudden I was like this shriveled little raisin. And then I'm like being hydrated again and I'm like drinking my first glass of water in a really long time. Does anyone else agree? Like, why do we put 0 to 100 or 100 to nothing? I don't know what that is, but there have been times where I've been like, I have to make up for all the time I haven't read my Bible and so I need to sit down for at least three hours and break down the Bible and read the entire book of Matthew and then read all the commentary on it and watch three YouTube videos also. What is that? That's giving performance. It's striving. Ew, stop that. That's not how it works. There is a reason that the kingdom of God is also kind of giving the kingdom of upside down because it doesn't make sense to us, right? So if just from my experience, I've realized, like, all it takes is just opening your Bible and starting to read it. And then I don't know, the floodgates just opened and I'm like, whoa, I feel so refreshed. And I didn't have to read for a whole hour to get that refreshment. It was available to me the minute I started reading the Bible. God's grace. It's his love, it's his Kindness. Thank you, God. So again, what is an attainable goal for you with making sure that you're reading the Bible every day? And honestly, for me, guys, sometimes it is just reading one simple chapter. And there is so much in a chapter. There is so much. Sometimes in just like two or three verses, you're good. You will be, like, marinating on that with the Lord for a long time. But if you want to read more than that, read more than that. But I, I say that to be like, there doesn't have to be all this crazy, like, religion and structure of like, well, I have to at least read like five pages out of the Bible every single day. Unless that's a literal goal and conviction you have. Do it, do it. But, yeah, studying God's Word every day. And I think another way to set yourself up for success with that too is going into it and being, like, prayerful, Honestly, being prayerful. Before you start reading your Bible, pray and say, hey, God, it's me. I love you. Thank you for being here with me right now. I am making it a goal to read your word every day for however long that looks like, for how many chapters or verses or pages that looks like. But I want to read your Word today. And so, Lord, tell me, what should I read? Will you make sure that there are no scales over my eyes? There's no distractions in my heart or in my mind? Lord, I just pray that whatever you want to minister to me about today, you do, Lord. Reveal yourself to me today. Let me see another side of your face. Let me see another angle. Another POV of like, who you are. And I think going into it and being like, I want to know God more. Coming to the Word every day is also learning more about who God is. I want to learn more about who you are today, God, will you reveal that to me? I want to learn something new about you going into it with such like, just open hands to receive from the Lord. Going into it with peace rather than striving or performance or box checking. So I think that's another way that you will make studying the word of God successful every day is going into it with that type of heart posture. Reflecting on scripture also is a really good way to stay on fire for the Lord. So making sure that we are not only, like, retaining the words that we are reading, but then reflecting reflection is so important. Yeah, just reflecting with the Lord about what you read. So reflecting on who God is, reflecting on, you know, maybe the things that he's revealed to you about who he is. But then reflecting on, like, how those things can be applied to your everyday life. Shame and guilt and feeling as if we're falling short and striving for perfection. Those things will kill a fire. Staying on fire for Jesus is also remembering God's grace for us. Embracing forgiveness, his forgiveness. Understand that you will stumble and fall, but God offers forgiveness and grace. To seek strength from God. Pray for strength and guidance to overcome challenges and remain consistent and to not give up, to be patient with yourself and to keep putting an effort into growing closer to God. A lack of grace and patience for yourself will discourage you to a point of no longer being on fire. For Jesus, grace and patience, receiving his forgiveness and his grace when we fall short. Because at the end of the day, we won't be perfect at this. There will be times where we aren't connected to the vine and then we're like, oh, gosh, I disconnected myself. That's why the fruit of my life isn't really fruiting. That's why I feel so low. That's why I haven't really been like. Like I don't have any joy right now or like, I don't have any peace. I'm anxious all the time and I'm confused and my head is filled with all of these, like, other voices and I feel consumed and overwhelmed and I feel like a failure and I don't feel like I'm enough. Like, we may have disconnected ourselves from the vine, but that's okay because God has forgiveness and he has grace and he has patience for us. It's not like once we're just, you know, disconnected from the vine, we can't ever be connected again. It's like having grace for ourselves in times where maybe we have fallen short and maybe we haven't been the best at staying connected to the vine. Maybe we haven't been the best at staying connected to Jesus. But that's okay. There's grace. And so I think that's something that has really helped me in my walk too, is like just giving myself a lot more grace and being patient with myself through the process of just becoming better. So ways to stay connected to God and to stay on fire for the Lord is. Is consistency. Yes. It's having attainable goals set for yourself, even if it starts small. Because it's also about starting small habits for yourself every day and then building on top of that and having that self discipline that we can only get from God to do those things. So, okay, goals we will set for ourself after this episode. If this Is something staying on fire for Jesus, staying on fire for him is important to you? Some things that we could do is we're going to set achievable, attainable goals for ourselves. And how we're going to do that is we're going to sit with the Lord, we're going to reflect with Him. We're going to go, okay, just from, you know, trial and error. Okay, from reflecting. We love to reflect. It's good. But reflecting on the things that have gone good, things that have gone well, the things that haven't gone well, realistically, if I'm being honest with myself, God, where should we start? He'll tell you. He'll show you. He'll say, we're going to start here and it's gonna feel really small, and I know you're gonna wanna do more, but we're gonna start here. Because if we start here, you are actually setting yourself up for success to continue to build up to that place where maybe you wanted to be able to start. That's okay. There's grace. That's where God has grace for us and understanding. So it's like, okay, we're gonna start here and then we're gonna slowly build our way up to that goal. Okay, so if it's actually only realistic for you to spend 20 minutes with Jesus in the morning instead of an hour, but you would love to get to a place of spending an hour with him, we're just gonna start at the 20 minute mark. With all that being said, you guys, I hope that this episode was helpful. I hope it brought some clarity to you guys. I love you. Hey, can we actually do something really cool? Can we do something cool today before we go? Let's show somebody how cool Jesus is. Let's walk more like him, talk more like him, be more like him. Let's be disciplined, like Jesus was disciplined.
